20 Best Toys For Rottweiler (2022 Updated)

I bought this package for our 60 lb lab puppy. He’s 5 months old and goes through toys like crazy (besides his Kong, antler, and large animal horn)! This package was marketed for large dogs, so I was hoping it would give him good variety while being durable enough to last (a week, at least : )).

Unfortunately, he chewed through part of a section of each of the smaller items (the ring and the figure 8) the first time he played with them, which was a bummer; he LOVED the figure 8!! The heavier built ropes/balls are still intact, which is good, but the one with the ball on the end of the rope is hard to play with together (that thing can hurt someone, depending on what you’re playing).

We tend to roll the rope ball toy, instead of throwing it, as it could easily break something in the house when thrown; it’s pretty hard. Maybe the heavier three rope toys are more for the large dogs, and the figure 8 and ring are medium dogs.

?? I read it that all 5 would be durable for a lg dog, but that would make more sense.

I was excited to receive this variety pack as it states it’s for tough chewers. The circle was destroyed in five minutes. The blue plastic on the braided eight rope was torn to pieces in about an hour, with one side undone.

The knotted braid provides much fun. Do be mindful of the shredded pieces so they aren’t swallowed. I will say, the ball is big enough that he hasn’t been able to destroy it. The braided ball tug toy has also held up well.

I’m very pleased with the items I have! My Goldendoodle loves these items SO much. Happy he has some toys to play with.

I am always on the lookout for TOUGH toys for my almost 12 yr old Husky/Wolf/Pit mix and his BF just turned 1, LeRoy Shepard/Lab/Pit mix. They are both very hard on most anything they choose to play with together.

I thought “Oh good! These should last a while and they love playing tug”. So dissapointed that LeRoy showed up the other day and two of the tug toys are now in pieces! It only took about an hour to get the round one not so round any longer and the tug with the fringe is mostly now only fringe with pieces everywhere on the floor.

The others are in tact merely because they haven’t been played with yet.

It is nearly impossible to find toys my heavy chewer dogs do not chew through, and Kongs like this are really the only things that last. My tiny dachshund mix used to chew on these years ago and would chew off tiny specks of the edges (which I have no idea how she did that) But she’s not interested in these types for a very long time.

My two previous big dogs always had these on hand, and I didn’t even put any treats inside. My newest big dog has destroyed every single thing I have gotten him except this. At first he was only interested in stuffed types, but I stopped ordering them for him and only left my two Kong’s and now he only chews on these.

There are other types that worked for my heavy chewers years back But they eventually chipped quite a few teeth. But I’ve had a talk with my vet where we agreed it was worth it to us for them to have some dental work every now and then instead of destroying the house.

Anyway, these are a lifesaver if your dogs are into them. If they are not into them maybe do what I did and take away every other toy where they eventually have no choice and realize they are just fine.

I gave our sweet pup the Benebone bone as soon as it arrived. It was the perfect size for her, she could carry it easily, and manipulate it as she chewed. I was very happy thinking I had found a great replacement for the deer antlers she loved to chew, but are very expensive to replace.

It wasnt long, however, before her strong chewing had created hundreds of very sharp indentations all along the bone. She often will bring her chew toy to ya to help hold while she chews, but its impossible to hold it with all the sharp edges.

She doesnt like it very much now, because Im sure it causes pain to her lips and tongue. Unfortunately, It will have to be discarded. Plastic just isnt right for our dog.

This thing is hard, huge, and weighty! A little pricey but worth it. I bought a couple for our bigger adult dogs who chewed them a little. Luckily, they are very sturdy and last a long time. They lost interest pretty quick though.

However, one has made it to our 6 month old puppy and he is in love! He is eating everything at this point and I never would’ve thought to give him one because it is truly adult size and way too big, even though he’s a large breed puppy.

He wraps his paws around this huge stick and chews it for hours. I have bought freezable bones and rings, and every puppy chew toy out there to hold his attention and ease his teething. This is his new favorite.

We love this pack! Our mini doodle has enjoyed both of these from 8 weeks (6 lbs) through 15 weeks (13 lbs), and we plan to replace with another once needed. The rolling one in particular is his absolute favorite chew toy.

He gnaws it like a lollipop we joke, and really loves when we hold it for him to get his back teeth on. He also loves when we spin it on the floor or roll it away from him; really engages him on all levels! The wood is one he enjoys chewing, but doesn’t have as much fun with.

More of a chew less of a toy. We were worried they would be too hard for our pup as some reviews said but he very quickly proved us wrong, he had no issues but has definitely worn the rolly one down decently so far.

This is one of our dog’s favorite toys. She did chew off one half of the ball in the middle pretty early on, but she’s had it for about 7 months now and other than that it’s still in good shape. Which is amazing because she is a Destroyer of Toys.

It gets really good distance when you throw it and she loves both running after it and running around the yard with it. It’s not a great toy for tug-of-war, it’s hard to get a good grip with your fingers through those little holes, but other than that it’s been great.

Our Labrador is truly a retriever – loves to chase and retrieve any thrown toy on his daily off-leash walk in the park. This toy is his absolute favorite, even when it’s thrown by an uncoordinated old woman (me).

Throw it overhand, vertically – NOT like a flying disk. After a good throw, my dog gives the toy a “squeak of approval” as he runs it back to me. When we’re done with our walk, the toy goes back on the shelf so it doesn’t become a chew toy.

These last for several months of daily use, with easily 50 throws/retrieves per walk and countless dunks in the creeks and puddles. Not easily lost, not a choking hazard, works great!.

Our German Shephard destroys every toy we get. But not these. Not a pinhole in them. He carries the round one like it’s his security blanket, seriously he has to have it from time he gets up till bed.

If you have a power chewer, invest in these. The best investment ever. They replace free if they destroy. You just send back and they will send you new one.

Oooohh yes! Finally a chew toy for the doggo that actually IS indestructible! We bought this off Amazon for our little Jeannie the Boston Terrier. She’s successfully chewed up every super chewer toy from barkbox subscription.

I really rate the GoughNuts Rings and my dogs love theirs. They haven’t been able to break into them at all. There are just a couple of things I don’t like. The hole in the middle fits too easily over their nose and I always get worried about it getting stuck between their mouth and nose.

It’s also really heavy, but that’s what makes it solid so I can’t argue with that! Overall, really happy.

I have been throwing Chuckit! balls almost every day for more than a year now so I feel like it’s time for me to contribute my input. All the balls are durable but my dog and I have our favorites. Dogs only see blue and yellow with all other colors being seen as a shade of grey.

So both of us prefer the blue balls because it is easier for both of us to see them especially in the fall when the orange balls hide in the leaves. My dog is an Australian Shepherd and all the balls we use are the medium sized balls.

Here’s our order of preference: 1. The blue whistler. This comes in a pack with an orange whistler. These balls have four holes and they really do whistle as they fly through the air. 2, The blue Rebound (recycled) ball.

They say the colors vary but all of my orders have been blue with orange flecks. They look and feel like whistlers but they only have two holes and they don’t whistle. Since the two balls are much cheaper than the whistlers and you get two blue balls in a pack, it’s a real deal for us to get these.

3. The orange whistler. 4. The Ultra rubber ball is a solid ball. This is preferred when playing in water because they float. They are not preferred when doing long fetch sessions because it is harder for my dog to breath with the solid ball in her mouth.

5. Even though it’s easier to breath with the Air Fetch, my dog just doesn’t care for it at all. She also didn’t show much interest in the ultra flyer but she is fixated on balls so that is probably a breed thing.

These balls do stand up to their ultra name. Our giant jawed mastiff cross would completely shred a tennis ball in 30 seconds. The high bounce rubber balls that our sausage dog likes would not last much longer.

It seemed to be part of the fetch game for “Jaws” to chomp any ball into pieces. We tried a large Nerf spike ball but Jaws would not chase it [because he couldn’t chomp it]. The Chuckit ultra ball provides some “give” to keep him happy yet is tough enough to survive.

Whilst not completely indestructible, it’s the best we have found to date. We have the medium size (2. 5 inch) one which is perfect for our large dog. It’s of similar size to a tennis ball and works great with the inexpensive no-name launcher I bought from the local IGA grocery store.

I’m pretty sure my Dachshund was re-born from a Labrador because all he cares about it fetching his ball. I love the Chuckit balls because they come in different sizes and have a good feel/bounce to them.

I order the small size which is perfect for my Doxie and even my Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. The only reason I give it a 4-star rating is the ball still won’t withstand the chewing/jaw strength of my Doxie.

He always ends up working through the ball and will eventually chew a hole in it. However, now I just take it away or monitor him when he has it so it won’t get destroyed. I also only buy these on Chewy when on sale because they are more expensive than other balls.

Regardless, my two little ones love these balls and definitely are recommended!.

Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it’s a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage.

As I know a friend’s dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.

this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend.

There’s also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention.

Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It’s just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.

5 stars – It is a KONG and it does exactly what you would think. Greatest dog toy of all time!!! The puppy Kong and classic Kong are the greatest dog toys of all time. If you don’t have one, I don’t know how you survive the puppy days! I have 8 of the various Kong toys in my freezer and give one to my puppy every time I leave the house or need a moment’s peace.

You can use them as snacks or feed all of their meals in them. There are YouTube videos and online instructions with endless possibilities for filling these. If you are in a hurry, plug the small end with peanut butter, fill it with kibble, add a little water or broth, then plug the big end with peanut butter and freeze it! It will keep your puppy busy for 30 minutes.

I like to use chicken and canned 100% pumpkin for a lower calorie treat. Oatmeal, mashed sweet potatoes, lean beef, carrots, bananas, strawberries, anything that is safe for dogs to eat will work. If you don’t have time to freeze it, just put a few treats in and let the puppy work on that.

It’s one of the only toys I will leave with my puppy when I can’t supervise her. She even likes to play with it empty. Just a great toy. Every puppy should have at least one!.

I am giving this rating for 2 reasons. The size listed for this ball gives 3 dimensions which was a bit confusing for a round ball, but what I received was really small. That alone wouldn’t be such a big deal if I could return it as easily as I return items from another popular site.

Unfortunately I found that Chewy requires me to make a phone call to get authorization to return. I order things online because I like to do things online. I’m not calling anyone, so I’m stuck with this ball and I will be reluctant to order experimental items from Chewy in the future.

I like Chewy for food that I always use, but otherwise I’m sticking with other large online retailers.

My 90 lb lab destroys every toy I give him. Tennis balls don’t even last 10 minutes before they are in pieces (with attempts to ingest also – because. well. he’s a lab!). This is the FIRST ball that he has not been able to demolish within minutes.

He had it for over an hour under my constant observation (compressing and decompressing constantly between his massive molars after he retrieved my throws – I actually think he had more fun trying to destroy than retrieve the ball) and it was still intact when I took it from him.

Amazing! I’ll definitely purchase more of these to have on hand if he ever is able to finally take a chunk out of this (or break apart the seams).

These are not the larger round brown chewable flavored pills that my dog normally gets. Instead, they’re little chalky off-white colored pills. (Picture attached) At this point, I don’t know what the pill-type classification actually is for these.

The label says “tablets. ” My dog’s bottle from our usual pharmacy also has the brown flavored chewable pills labeled as “tablets” but that’s not what I received from Chewy. Clearly, their definition of “tablets” is different from Chewy’s definition of “tablets.

” So I will just refer to them as “pills. ” I only bought these from Chewy because they have been on backorder for over a month at my normal online pet pharmacy. The price should have been the red flag but I thought I was getting a “deal” because Chewy has a wider variety of items than other online pet pharmacies.

The description is very misleading and I doubt they’re actually flavored since my dog won’t touch these but doesn’t resist the brown ones. It would benefit everyone if Chewy provided a picture of the medicine like every other online pet pharmacy does.

The brown chewable flavored pills usually look similar regardless of which generic version it is and that would cut down on confusion and prevent people from wasting money by ordering something their dog won’t take.

I will be canceling auto-ship and will not be ordering any of my dog’s medicine from here anymore. This was my first pharmacy experience with Chewy and it most definitely was not a good one. I’m highly disappointed and expected better from such a well known company.

I’ll go back to buying them from my veterinarian’s clinic if necessary.

I think this is actually a very good chew toy in general, but the size was a factor in my dog’s response as far as playing with it went. My dog is an 8 lb, one year old with the chewing strength of an at least 20 lb dog, so it’s challenging to find the right toys with the appropriate combination of being small enough for her to hold onto, yet sturdy enough that she doesn’t destroy it in the first 5 minutes of play.

I had originally purchased the extra small size of this same wishbone, ( at another seller, because now I’m pretty sure Chewy doesn’t carry that size ), and due to it’s very sturdy material, she chewed on it eagerly without being able to wreck it.

Another small dog we know also liked it so much that I gave that one away to her, and purchased this “Small” size toy to replace my dog’s bone. When it arrived is when I realized that the small is not Chihuahua-sized, like the one I gave away.

This one is almost like a Nylabone Medium size. So my dog doesn’t care for it because it’s too hard for her to hold. I found out that the XS only comes in a two-pack “Puppy” size set, which I got elsewhere.

Hopefully Chewy will carry that set sometime too.

We have one normal chewer, and one power chewer that’s can literally chew through the “toughest” chew toys on the market within an hour. This toy is by far the longest lasting and worth every penny. Both dogs love it — alright, I’ll admit they each got one! — and both dogs return to them again and again.

It wasn’t this way at first. They were completely uninterested, walking away after a single sniff, but I threw them into the toy basket and waited. And waited. A month went by, then two. I lost patience and decided to take some heavy grit sandpaper to one end, in case the slick surface was the problem.

And waited some more. Three or four months later one of them was pawing through his stash and decided to give it a try. After a few minutes, the other one noticed and asked for a turn. Nothing doing.

He waited awhile, being a demanding sort of dog, before deciding to chew on his own. Now both of them chew these, not every day, but often enough to have worn down all three ends on both bones. I guess the flavor runs all through the whole bone? Regardless, it looks like these bones will last for years and, considering what we’ve spent on bones that last a week, they’re well worth the price.

Just have patience and leave them around.

My dog kills me with this toy… he just loves it so much. 🥺 He’s an extremely gentle dog and not at all destructive, but he knows his toys are there for him to do his worst with, and he’ll eventually get the squeakers out and tear them apart no matter what.

That being said, his Hedgehogz always last him a really long time and, until he finally “kills” them, they are his most prized possession. He cuddles up to his Hedgey and, no matter how many other toys or treats or bones he has at the time, it’s always the toy he grabs and trots around with when we come home – so we know it’s his favourite thing.

I saw several negative reviews for this dog tire and almost didn’t get one. My dog is now 2. 5 yrs old. We got this when she was about 6 months old. It is still going strong and she is not a puppy, and not easy on her toys, and gets a LOT of use out of it! She has shown she is a power chewer, and has destroyed several indestructible toys in less than 5-10 minutes, which she swallows the pieces if we don’t stop her.

This tire, and some other Kong toys, have outlasted all of them. I’m not saying there is no wear and tear, with teeth marks and tattered edges all over the toys, but no significant damage. Don’t get me wrong, she had a tire (of inferior quality) when she was 8 weeks old, and it was bigger than her head and she could barely bring it back to me.

But I taught her to fetch with it and that may be why she does not try to destroy it outright. When that tire needed replacing after only 4 months, I bought the Kong puppy tire. She squeezes it with her teeth until the hole is gone while bringing it back, a feat I had difficulty doing with one hand and I am not weak.

Again, she will chew on it too, but it has held up very well and looks to have a lot more life it in. I will buy another when I need to for sure. And by the way I do not have a vested interest in the makers of Kong toys either.

Our golden retriever puppy LOVES this toy, it’s the best stuffable chew toy we’ve found so far. This came recommended from someone on reddit for a puppy-friendly chew toy that can’t get accidentally pushed/lost outside of a wire crate (like most puppy chew bones).

Our puppy never got attached to the puppy kongs – they were a great chew-level, but the hole in the top seemed too small for her to get her tongue into (even at 8 weeks old). Even though she loves peanut butter she can’t get it out of the puppy sized kong (which of course means frozen kibble would be impossible).

But this tire kong keeps treats like a smear of peanut butter, medium-sized dry treats, or (my personal favorite) frozen soaked kibble, hidden away, but still accessible enough that she’ll work to get at them.

The peanut butter or frozen soaked treats can keep her occupied for almost 15 minutes – it’s great! Definitely recommend for tasty treats for the crate, AND for fun meal playtime out in the open. Can’t go wrong with this one!.

Kong Extreme products are the only toys that survive our 50-pound Portuguese Water Dog puppy. We tuck small biscuits inside each slot and it keeps our dogs entertained when we must go out. But, choose the size appropriately for your specific dog.

We also own the largest size of this bone — it’s heavy for the puppy to carry easily, but he hasn’t destroyed it. This smaller size is more appropriate looking for him, but he was able to tear off chunks of rubber in the first five minutes.

Just beware and know your dog. We’ll revert to giving this avid chewer the largest version of this toy, and give this slightly smaller one to some of the less aggressive chewers in the house. As always, Chewy was fabulous with quick, accurate service!.

I actually buy my two little girls mostly Kong brand stuffed toys-they are the best! They’ve had a Kong like this for years & love it. I decided to buy another so that they could each have one now. For some reason neither one has any interest in it.

It doesn’t matter what treat I put inside, but neither tried to get it out for long, When comparing the new one to the old one, it looks the same. Maybe it smells differently to them & not in a pleasant way? I also purchased the new Kong biscuits that are supposed to go inside.

My one dog who will eat pretty much anything finally ate it, but my other baby sniffed it a bit & never ate it. The biscuits were also hard to get in & a couple started to crumble. Not what I expect from this brand.

I ordered this to help with a chewing problem I had with our new puppy. The puppy enjoys it at times, she doesnt play with it daily. It has held up to her chewing and it sort of bounces and rolls on the floor so it does encourage her to move and chase it around a bit.

I have used peanut butter and apples in it but it isnt necessary for her to have food inside. In some ways the food seemed to be frustrating to her as she struggled to get it out. I bought the appropriate size but she still struggled to get the pb out.

Have to watch her snack intake as she is getting multiple snacks and bones to chew during the training process. She doesnt seem to mind if its empty. It’s a little hard to clean after food has been used.

However, it has not broke or lost pieces and that’s a plus.

My daughter loves squishmallows but I have always felt they’re generally a bit overpriced. but this one was so well priced that I decided to get it for her for her birthday. When it arrived, it was so incredibly cute – and giving it a big squeeze hooked me too.

So soft and cute! This was a gift for my grandma, she loved it! He was a little more gray than black color than expected but no worries just perfect!

Very colorful and well made stuffed peacock. It felt very sturdy -not a cheap stuffed animal thats seams will rip promptly. It was also a good size-not too big or small-but a great size for snuggling.

The tail stands up (not floppy-but not hard). I was very happy with these peacocks! I purchased 3 for my 3 year old and 2 year old granddaughters who love peacocks and they love them!.

This is an adorable dachshund to use for AG dolls Maryellen Larkin or the first GOTYear Lindsey Bergman, both of whom have dachshund pets in their stories. In my opinion, it is both cuter and more realistic looking than the American Girl Maryellen’s “Scooter” dog (which only has embroidered eyes), and no pet was ever made for LIndsey’s “Mr.

Tiny” dachshund. AND in addition, it is about half the price of the American Girl Scooter dog! It is a very high quality toy dog, soft and cuddly, and stands up well on his own, unlike other floppier “Beanie” dachsunds I have seen.

Overall, a great purchase!.

What my daughter and I first noticed was how soft this puppy was! She feels so cuddly and snuggly! There is a switch at the bottom to make the puppy happy or sad, which I thought was very clever. My daughter loves switching it back and forth.

The puppy’s tail wags, it nods it’s head and make various sounds, such as whimpering and panting. It came with a collar and tag you can write on and you can decorate and keep the box as a dog house! This is a well made, fun toy for little animal lovers!.

A great gift too! It actually had me feeling nostalgic when I opened the box and saw it!.

When I first saw the poodle I couldn’t get over how cute it was and the package it came in. I love that the box can be colored and entertain my kids. The Poodle is very soft and very cuddly. At first I had the sad option on and was confused why the puppy was only crying, even when we were petting it.

We then found an option to change that and my kids were happy the puppy wasn’t sad anymore. It’s a cute simple toy for the young ones- not too interactive. I honestly think for the price, it’s boring.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex rendition by Schleigh looks exactly like a mini version of the actual dinosaur. Quality of the toy made when I was a kid, which is hard to find nowadays. Beautifully painted-very realistic! The moving jaw adds more fun and interaction, making the toy experience more complete and giving more fun way to play.

My son loves making the t-Rex roar and eat things! The plastic has good soft rubbery feel so that it doesn’t slip from your fingers even when wet. Nice weight to it and does not feel like a cheap model.

Overall, I see this toy lasting for several years and can be passed to siblings.

I got this Schleich yesterday, and I will admit that it is beautiful. It’s short mane, sweet face, and braided tail is really nice. It’s just that he’s a bit smaller than my other Schleich horses. I put a bit of tack from another set on him, and the bridle was a bit big for him.

I also compared him to the Knapstrupper stallion Schleich horse, and the Knabstrupper was a bit taller. Still amazing model overall, though.

Would HIGHLY recommend this fantastic sized plush, beautiful high quality fur! soft to the touch and extremely well put together with an excellent form!! very high quality feel from nose to tail. I am so glad i bought this cute little fella.

A bit disappointed – owl is small, 7 or 8 inches (which I knew from reading the other reviews). The disappointment came from what the owl looks like. It’s ok, but definitely not as cute as the one shown.

The detail on the chest of the owl is different and looks cheap, and the face is also not as cute. On the bright side, it’s very soft and I think my kid would like it (he mostly cares about textures anyway).

I’m still trying to decide if to keep it or return it.

Shreya is a beautiful dragon! Her photo truly doesn’t due her justice. She’s so soft and cuddly as well! Her pink and silver markings are just striking! She’s very dearly loved in her new home! Her long eyelashes are the icing on the cake! Douglas makes very durable and high quality products, so Shreya can stand up to a lifetime of hugs and play.

If you have a dragon lover in your life of any age, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you ‘adopt ‘ Shreya, the gorgeous pink dragon for them ( or yourself) today! You won’t be disappointed!.
