20 Best Tracker For Cats (2022 Updated)

I switched from Whistle to Tractive for my cat, Knuckles. BEST CHOICE EVER. I find it much, much more accurate than Whistle and the features are awesome! I live on the Columbia River in St. Helens, Oregon.

We are remote and surrounded by forest and water. Knuckles (aka “The OG”) likes to walk the “hood” like a mafia Don. We’ve had a couple visits to the emergency vet lately 😒. The Whistle was just too limited in what it can do, so I bought Tractive (much cheaper and I liked the features advertised).

WOW!!!! So earlier tonight I was notified he’d left his virtual fence, so I used live tracking. Holy smokes! It’s outstanding! I watched him dart all over the damn place and I’m like “COME on ya idiot cat”.

I started activating the sound feature and watched him react…. 😂😂🤣, then the light feature. He got annoyed and started for home, so I used the AR feature and met him about 500 yards up my road. I’m so impressed I can’t even find words.

The only thing I’m having trouble with is showing time and speed in the map settings. I use this on my iPad but will try again using the website. FABULOUS DEVICE!.

Recommended. I bought two single Tiles after our house keys went missing recently and we spent a day searching. They ended up in an odd place, but were eventually found. One tile will help you find your keys using your smartphone; it also works in the other direction: press the button on the tile, and your phone will sound.

I liked them enough that I ordered a pack of four with a Tile Premium coverage subscription. This provides replacement batteries on these new Tile Pros each year, plus enables a feature called Smart Alert.

Smart Alert will notify you on your phone if you leave an item with an attached Tile behind. It also provides reimbursement if the item cannot be found. Read the conditions on the latter, but we are enjoying these.

I have a Tile Pro attached to our 6 month old puppy’s collar and I’ve trained him to come home (for lunchmeat) when I jingle the Tile. The range claims to be 400 feet, yet I am more often than not told that my dog is out of range when I can actually hear the bells I’ve put on his collar, so I know he is close.

If there is anything in the way, like a building or a tree or a bush, this device will not find your dog. It will only connect with a clear line of sight. Even then, the range is not nearly what they claim and it takes forever for the tile to connect.

I can see my dog across the yard, maybe 100 feet away, and when I click “find” it will take the tile at least two minutes to connect. Also, the left behind feature, which I believe is part of Tile Premium, is supposed to let you know when you left something behind, and I planned to use it to let me know if our dog got too far away from the property.

The alarm doesn’t chime until I am at least a mile and a half away from the house, so if it were on a briefcase or something for work I would be well down the road before I knew to turn around, and in the case of my dog that means he would be that far away before the alarm triggered, when it should trigger as soon as it goes out of range.

This device is great for finding things in the house but it is too slow, too short ranged for finding, too long range for alerting left behind, and doesn’t work with any sort of obstruction between your phone and the tile.

It should NOT be advertised as a pet finder or tracker. Oh, I’ve contacted tech support twice and worked with settings and it did not make a difference.

Never using tiles again. Once these go out that’s it. I’ve been using them for 6 years, but about 3 years ago I started noticing reliability issues. Some do not make sound, others the battery doesn’t last.

None are as loud as advertised. I got two of the pro recently and one acted flaky so I took it and gave the other one to my stepson. Now the one that acted flaky seems to work, but many of my other non pro units are failing prematurely, even the ones that have replacement battery option.

I don’t like tile anymore and intend to seek alternatives.

I’ve been using Tile since 2015 however I’ve always found it to be unreliable and inadequate. About 3 months ago I choose to change my Bluetooth tracking solution completely to Galaxy SmartTag and SmartTag+ which I really wish I did sooner.

This is an absolutely fantastic product with exceptional performance. I don’t like how the standard GalaxyTag is actually louder than the SmartTag+, but it’s not a massive issue. I only express 2 dissatisfactory concerns with this product: 1.

The formfactor, I really wish Samsung sold this product in a smaller formfactor similar to the Apple AirTag or Tile Sticker. For this reason, I can’t completely replace my Tile tracking solution as I need something in a small form factor to stick on to small personal devices like headphones.

You can’t really stick down the SmartTag or SmartTag+ to specific devices and therefore its only limited to being attached to keys and bags, I just about attached it to my wallet using a cable tie. 2.

The second point I wish to express dissatisfaction on is the limitation to Galaxy devices. It’s not a problem for me as I’ve been a consistent user of Galaxy devices for the past 10 years however my friends who use either iPhones or other Android devices are unable to benefit from this product but the same argument can be made with Apple on their AirTag product, which is to be expected to be honest.

But I don’t see why Samsung has done this, I believe this should be an open-source product compatible with any device, not just Samsung Galaxy devices. This actually makes me see Samsung in a somewhat negative light as it forces me to have a Galaxy device to be able use this product.

I bought a Galaxy S22 Ultra upon launch however my dissatisfaction with Samsung’s chipset strategy is growing and it’s strongly making me consider competitor smartphones. because why am I paying the same money in the UK to receive a vastly inferior device (Exynos vs Snapdragon).

But ultimately leaving the Samsung Galaxy smartphone line of products (which I have been thinking about quite a lot recently) would render all my tags completely useless hence my dissatisfaction.

We went on holiday to The Maldives which was meant to be a once in a lifetime dream holiday. It started with disaster when my suitcase went missing from the airport when someone picked it up by accident! Luckily I had put the smart tag in my suitcase and after 2 hours of stressing the tag popped up on a different island! This allowed us to locate the suitcase and contact the resort to get the suitcase back.

It was put in the bag as an after thought however will now be a travel essential. Prevented many tears and a huge expense replacing all the items. For something so small and reasonably cheap it has saved us a huge expense.

I would recommend this to anyone going on holiday!.

THE DEVICES ARRIVED WITH BATTERIES THAT WERE RUN DOWN SO I NEED TO BUY NEW BATTERIS. CONTACTING SAMSUNG SUPPORT TO RESOLVE THIS REQUIRES JUMPING THROUGH A THOUSAND HOOPS AND NAVIGATING THEIR USELESS CHAT BOTS – WHY DON’T THEY JUST HAVE A SIMPLE SUPPORT EMAIL.

FOR THE PRICE THIS IS JUST A RIP OFF.

I do love both my key fob and “slim card” for my wallet. The “slim” fits beautifully into my wallet w/o extra bulk or weight, and the size and design on my key fob are perfect. not too big and the bright design is easy to see and in fact I get a lot of comments on my “cool key fob” (I always give a little promo here!).

The only thing I’ve had a little difficulty with is the initial 2-time press on the device which is doing the locating of the device that has been misplaced. Neither of my devices (fob or Slim card) seems to acknowledge my presses of the “ring button” until I’ve done it 3 or more times.

I have tried doing a quick double-click and a slow, deliberate 1-2 press, but still no response for several times of doing this. I did email TILE in regards to this problem, but only received a “form email” from “Annie” with no direct response to my question.

I was just directed to “FAQ’s” and to go to website to watch videos. There appears to be no way to have direct contact with customer service (as in a real person). Disappointing, especially for us old folks.

But. the devices do work in regards to locating them, and the sounds are very easy to hear.

this is just a baby toy renamed for cats. save your $$ and ask your friends for their old baby toys once the child out grows it. seriously people!

We received the cat activity mat a few weeks ago and our two cats cant stop playing with it. They just love it!

I thought it was be a good choice for my cat, Minnie. She shows no interest in it. It is a great toy for the price.,

Just brought this product the other day as we are waiting for new chargers to come in for the kids’ cosmo watches. My kid misses his stop yesterday and unable to use this app to find him because it’s “connecting”.

Didn’t alert at all. He was on the bus and less than 2 streets down when the bus driver turned around because she noticed. So. Must be great to put on that remote that you lose in the house or a set of keys you don’t use often.

But definitely not a tracker to use other than. The instructions are limited to how far the range is. That should been the first thing you put on the box.

I am notorious for misplacing my keys and trying to search the house when I’m trying to leave can be pretty stressful. I decided to purchase this key tag finder and it’s been a huge help. The set up is quick and easy and the application is user friendly.

The speaker on the key tag is loud enough to hear no matter where I am inside the house. There are no subscription fees on this to use the app like many similar products. The key tag is light weight and unnoticeable when on my keys.

Highly recommend.

Although relatively inexpensive, this works pretty darn well! Bought this for me because I literally always lose my keys and ever since I’ve placed this tag on my lanyard, finding them has been a breeze.

It is so small and lightweight that it doesn’t add any extra weight to my lanyard. Also compatible with the app so that is super cool as well! The price is amazing compared to other tracking device companies who do the exact same thing so I would definitely recommend!.

Have had this for over a week. Never used cat trackers but have experience with several dog trackers so knew what features I wanted. I have to say it’s been an excellent tracker so far. Took a bit of research and testing to find out how it works but I’m quite impressed.

My cat has never been outdoors but after multiple pee incidents, a cat behaviorist involved we decided he wanted out ( we have 4 indoor cats he is the only one who goes out ). The good thing is he doesn’t go far so it’s easier to track him and battery life has been very good.

Customer service ( via email ) was very prompt and efficient. Size is fine, nice and light and is secure on his collar. I would recommend this product!!.

it is refurbished so a few scratches but works great. my old one couldn’t swim when i turned over in the gulf so i ordered this one. i use base camp so i had no problem loading tracks, way points and other files i had on my old one.

i went to garmin and found they was an update available. now with this one i can see my dogs on my laptop. i plug usb cable into laptop i have basecamp on. when i turn on gps it asks do i want basecamp mode.

yes and i see where we are on gps and laptop. i have birdseye so it is great. i called Thursday morning to order and the unit was in my mailbox Saturday. service don’t get no better than that. will i order from these people again–yes sir i will.

I purchased a used Astro 320. This is the first handheld gps I have owned or used. Very satisfied with the unit easy to use. For being used it is great shape screen not scratched. I would recommend the Astro.

Can be used for normal gps and also used for tracking dogs. Very happy. Great job Garmin on this one.

It was a great product that arrived on time and was a reasonable price. I liked how this product was easy to use and came assembled and ready for immediate use. It is definitely the best product on the market for our use and we will be recommending these collars to our friends.

The receiver has a good sized screen and is easy to navigate. We achieved great range with the collars and receiver. Overall this purchase has been brilliant and I would no doubt be considering purchasing one if you are in need of a tracker.

I started looking into fitness trackers recently. I was overwhelmed with options. In the end I decided on this Kate spade tracker, after all it matched my katespade stripped bag, lol. But its great. It does the basics.

It counts my steps, set goals, reminds me to drink water, and will ring my phone. It’s easy to use and the app is simple set up. I seen allot of negative reviews but I think these were folks who were serious fitness junkies.

I just want to get motivated to move a little more and get healthier. I don’t need my heart rate monitored and text on this gadget. The only drawback is I wish it told time. I’m used to wearing a watch.

But it’s awesome. It’s cute and it has made me aware of how little I move and has motivated me to do better. Everyday I push my goal to do a little more and I can see the progress. Great product!! And it matches my tote, too!!! Love Kate Spade!!! Get it up all you do is great.

You must keep an eye on it. If something catches it, it will come loose pretty easy! But I plan to order another and try again. Because I really did enjoy it and received a ton of compliments too!!.

I love this tracker! It does all of the basics – tracker your sleeping (dividing it into light and restful) as well as your steps. Otherwise it is pretty basic. I had a little difficulty connecting it to my phone at first as the app did not want to sync, but once it connected, I’ve never had a problem with it updating.

I have found that some of the extras (you can supposedly sync it to your music, camera, etc – but only one at a time) do not always work. Overall, I think its a great deal if you can find one on sale, but at full price, I would expect it to provide a little more info and be a little bit more on level with the official FitBit or other activity trackers in the same price range.

This is definitely the best lost finder I have tried. Works with Bluetooth LE so it will be a short while before it alarms (signal is passed every twenty seconds or so) but has always worked perfectly for me.

Software is nice too with lots of customisation if you want it and looks very smart.

Overloads Android phones and canabilises all bluetooth connections to preference itself. Worst thing Ive bought. Battery drain is huge. Feedback help from maker was useless 🙁 🙁 🙁 Requeststo update Never work!!.

I love this! It is easy to set up and even easier to use! It can also help you find your phone. I highly recommend this!

I’ve used two of these for about 18 months. They’re much better than the last tracker I used. The battery life is very good, a full charge probably lasts 24 hours or more. Solid, sturdy, not too heavy (my cats seem okay wearing them) and waterproof.

It’s a monthly subscription, which I think is necessary to pay for the SIM cards in the device. The plastic holder (attaches to the collar) wears out in time, which is fine, but I deducted a star because replacement holders are very overpriced.

About £20 for two little plastic rubbery things. Maybe there’s a reasonable explanation for the high price, but it’s hard to imagine one. I’d like to see them sell replacement holders for a lower price and ideally reduce the size of the Weenect device as technology improves.

Lighter and smaller is always going to be better for pets. Anyway, very good overall. The app is good too.

I have tried a few GPS trackers in the past but have settled on this product as it is by far the most reliable. I have had 2 trackers for over 2 year and the technology is excellent and has some great features.

The ability to have the Tacker call you from the the app is superb. If you are in doubt about your cats safety then you can contact the tracker by phone and listen to tracker to see if there are any unusual sounds.

The SOS function where if the button on the tracker is pressed it makes a call to your phone and you can talk to someone who has found your cat. However this would be far better if this function was obvious to the finder as at the moment I doubt anyone with the cat would know they could do this.

The fact that the tracker works with so many cell providers is great and you always get a good signal compared to other trackers that only support 1 or 2 cell providers. This brings us to battery life.

Battery life depends on how good the signal is and therefore this gives the Tracker a very good working time. As you can switch the check-in frequency of the tracker this gives great flexibility. I set it to 1hr in general but it set it to 30min or less overnight when the cats are out and about.

This gives the trackers about 3 days life before a quick recharge is required when the cats are sleeping. You can also request a position at any time with the click of the App. The tracking history is also very useful and I have used this in the past to keep an eye on their activity and on 2 occasions this has given an early warning of low activity which led to identifying that the cat was sick.

I wold would have given it 5 star but for the App playing up and freezing from time to time and the very rare short outage for the server. Having said all that there is not a better cat tracker out there.

We have a wandering Main Coon. It has set up base camp at the private school 4 roads away. Thanks to Weenect I can see where he is, watch him patrol the borders, see his signal stop as he sneaks into the sports hall.

When it returns I know the staff have kicked him out. When his battery strength dips to 20 percent I get in the car, catch him, feed him replace his Weenect ( yes we have two for one cat ) and watch him dive out the cat flap.

Ten minutes later he’s back at school being tickled by tiny hands. That’s my review. so in summary. Battery life is poor and is not more than 18 hours. ( a swoppable battery would be a damn site cheaper than having two subscriptions) that’s it for the bad stuff now the good.

Customer support is great, although it’s sometimes in French. If you take the insurance you can get a replacement tracker in the post as often as the cat loses them ( I have had 4) The device is robust and because you can’t get to the battery or SIM card it’s water resistant, I had one returned after 6 months in a garden and it still works.

If your cat comes home minus collar and you can still see the aprox position on your phone, you can make it ring and retrieve it from inside that hedge. ( Done that 20 times) don’t wait to long that battery is gonna die very quickly.

+ve : The battery life; the general functionality; the size; the look -ve : The attachment strap using Velcro strap does not seem like it would be durable with putting it on and off multiple times. the proprietary battery charger cable.

The non-configurable report period below 1h : it should be my choice to go under and have a shorted battery life. It is not really clear how to activate the Live tracking if your BT is still connected.

I have to disable BT and click several times on “Live” before it is activated. Wifi zone selection should allow the selection of a given wifi without the need to be connected to it.

Tracker is not very accurate. It would say my pet was 1000 yards away when it was clearly in my yard. constantly saying it was out of its boundary when it wasn’t. Cheap clip fell off and was lost, i was only able to find the tracker.

Cancelled my subscription after only a week. I live in san antonio, Tx so i figured it would work good due to high quality cell service but was wrong.

My 2 nd Tractive purchase for my dog as the last one only lasted 2 years. Great to see how far my dog goes each day

Nice product with room for improvement. I use it on both of my golden retrievers and I can then compare their walks and activities which is pretty cool. A longer battery life would maybe be a good idea for the future.
