20 Best Tracker For Motorcycle (2022 Updated)

I was looking for something I could not only swap from different bikes but also something that would work internationally. I did a lot of research into the different signals used & received by the M7 and so I got 2 of them.

They are fantastic. The Monimoto customer service is so fast and friendly as well! IMHO. In most ways, so much better than the well-known tracker brands of hard-wired systems, at over £400 installed.

My insurance company said that the well-known brand would only reduce my premium by £40, so that really clinched the deal.

Its a simple device. Battery lasts about a week. I had to make a magnetic carrier for it . it is not always accurate but its close enough. Im happy with the item and its a good price

It does NOT give you up to minute details as you can see in the photo attached (4 min) it does NOT give you the miles or miles in each state there are a few other things it doesnt do that the description claims Thus, not good for commercial truck tracking.

This product is horrible. Says my apex tracker does not exist. Takes forever to connect when it does work. So problematic. Can barely name when this product has worked. I have tried reaching out to the company but still no response.

Such a let down and has only worked 2 times in my 5 months of having it.

I bought this product because I play amateur football twice a week and would like to improve my running and football performance. This equipment gives me such opportunities and I can compare my performance with professional footballers.

I am satisfied with the purchase and may it continue to serve me in my everyday sports life.

Product is really good, it is the only tracker I could find that integrated Heart rate monitoring that was a consumer product and not just for the pros. I like the heat maps it gives me with GPS and loading in a map.

I would like to see a bit more detail in the stats though, for instance it tells me how many sprints I did, it would be cool if I could just show those on the heat map, or just show my HMLD runs on the heat map.

Apple health integration would also be great. Luckily all of these thing can be implemented with software updates, so I’m pumped about my purchase and looking forward to seeing it become even better with updates.

It’s definitely an expensive luxury item, especially after you factor in the exchange rate, but if that isn’t a problem for you and you want to track how you’re going at your sport then I say get it.

I recently lost my 1 1/2 year old GSP in a vast wilderness area. After 8 hours and 14 miles of hiking around I finally found him. or he found me, not sure which. I never had him take off on me on any previous hunts or training sessions, so I didn’t worry about on our first hunt in the mountains.

Wrong again!! I had previously considered buying a Garmin 200i, but felt the cost out weighed the benefits. I was WRONG. I’d have gladly paid the price when he went missing. I’ve had the 200i TT15 system for a few weeks now and use it several times each week.

Hank (my GSP) adapted quickly to the antenna and gets excited to have the collar on. I haven’t figured out all the features and functions yet, but I love being able to monitor his location while we’re in the field.

He has been trained to recall on voice, whistle and collar tone. I’m able to monitor how quickly he responds when out of my sight by watching his distance on the display. This gives me the ability to give him a correction with the training function.

The “Dog has treed” & “Dog is on point” feature is great in heavy cover also. I have a learning curve to conquer for all the capabilities and functions that this unit has. Thus far I’m very happy with the basic GPS & Training capabilities.

I love this unit& Hank does too. I highly recommend it if, especially if you have a dog that likes to range out too far for your comfort level.

I got this pair of Alpha200i with collars for some squirrel/coon dogs. The 200i seems to be an amazing device. When you walk your dog with the TT15 on, and use the tone/vibrate they learn quick. If the dog is going a direction i don’t want it to, i will tone and redirect with leash and give the “come” command.

If ignored I will then vibrate and give a “NO” command. If still ignored, i light that ass UP! When its time to go I repetitively tone the dog while whistling it in. This device gives you the ability to control your dog from a few miles away if you put in the time to train them with the collar.

I will never again hunt dogs without one.

This thing is absolutely crap! Screen quality is terrible! Can’t even see trails or ponds on it. Hopefully sportsmans will let me exchange it for a montana

Button integration makes it easy to navigate through the data pages on the screen. I like the buttons on the right side enabling me to zoom in or out to see more or less data fields. QR code pairing process makes it easy to set up.

Another great feature is having the ELEMNT app on my phone which makes it easy for me to customise my data fields which happen in real time, a great feature. Not having a touch screen is not important to me as I don’t us the navigation as I know we’re I’m going, however I went for a test ride around my streets and found it easy to use and accurate.

The colours on the screen are also enough for me, I know some want more but for me less is more and don’t believe it essential. I have the LED lights on the top and side set up indicating my power output and HR making it easy to see at a glance when doing efforts whilst training or racing.

The out front mount is also sleek. The high contrast screen makes it easy to see all my data and the ambient light sensor adjusts to the varying light conditions both indoors and out on the road. I haven’t used the head unit in conjunction with my smart trainer ‘yet’ however, I look forward to see what it can do.

Receiving calls and text notifications come through in colour and is loud enough which means you don’t miss anything. I have also set up when to eat and drink which is a great feature as sometimes I get task focused and neglect to eat or drink during training or racing.

Third party activity uploads to several partners. Linking my power meters from all 5 of my bikes was seem less. I have used Garmin for 14 years and wondered how Wahoo would measure up, overall I’m very happy with the change and believe that the Wahoo has surpassed my expectations.

It’s easy to read and use.

This is easily the worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased – no exaggeration. It’s something I regret immensely. Some of the enormous drawbacks: -Consistently inaccurate readings: on rides with friends my Wahoo routinely reports the lowest speed and the lowest climb numbers, even when we’re doing the same pace and identical routes.

-Takes forever to be ready: make sure you turn it on a good 3-4 minutes before a group ride is set to depart, or else everyone will be waiting on you. And don’t dare move during those 3-4 minutes or else it’ll just prolong the “N/A” on the display until it zeroes out and is ready.

-Horrible at pairing with my Garmin radar – if I don’t turn on my radar within the first 30 seconds of turning the bike computer on, it won’t pair and I have to restart both. It is absolutely the computer’s fault: my phone pairs with the radar without a hitch.

-Turn by turn is useless in cities: the delay will get you killed, and it is absolutely useless at re-routing. -There’s no advance warning of low battery or indicator light – make sure you check the battery on the settings screen before each ride because there’s no persistent visual indicator or anticipatory alert – it just shuts off abruptly.

-Useless for tracking pace: if god forbid you don’t have a power meter, this thing is useless. Let’s say I’m going a pretty steady 17-19 mph: this thing will continually swing between reading 13 mph and then over-adjusting to 25 mph a few minutes later to reflect the average.

It’s disorienting and frustrating to not have reliable real-time readings. Cannot stress enough how terrible this product is. The only positive is that the battery lasts fairly long.

I’ll start by saying this was my first dedicated GPS bike computer. Had used Garmin GPS (eTrex) devices and my iPhone with RideWithGPS and other apps prior to this, but this is the first purpose built for bicycling that I’ve owned.

I’ve read some of the other reviews on this device, especially the 1 star reviews; there are enough complaints to warrant some concern over quality control at Wahoo (likely with the suppliers of their GPS module / ROM modules).

I don’t believe their experiences represent what the majority of users are experiences, and obviously not what the device is like to use when it’s working the way it should. Only Wahoo knows how many of their devices are being returned due to defects, but to those with issues with their devices; take them back, demand a refund.

As for my own experience, the device connects immediately to GPS, speeds is accurate, the maps are excellent, the navigation and rerouting features work flawlessly. It pops up texts and calls on the screen when they come in, and as you’d expect from such a tiny screen, they are always nearly unreadable for me – but who cares, I’m riding! The device gets frequent updates and several have provided noticeable improvements with the interface – for example in the maps, when I first got the device there was no Pan and Zoom dedicated functions from the Map screen, now it uses the UP and DOWN and LEFT RIGHT buttons to control this.

Other improvements are added with the updates making the device feel fresh and giving me confidence that Wahoo is committed to enhancing and improving their products. Overall I’m very happy with this device, and highly recommend.

Easy set up, very user friendly and does exactly what it says on the box.

Absolutely the best anti-theft system for a motorcycle, someone tried to steal my bike with this on it and it rang my phone within seconds. The would be thief only made it a few feet before I was able to confront him.

Worth every penny!.

This product is amazing very easy too install and it works. No matter where your bike is parked you know its safe. Every bike car or boat should have one. I will be installing more of these. I would highly recommend this product.

I found that the biggest challenge in buying bars is to get the proper bent and hight. it is not always obvious what you are buying. I know first hand as these are the second set I purchased! These turned out to be pretty well was I was looking for.

They are wide and have a little rise and a small rearward bent. They feel like the bars on adventure bikes. They are made of steel, thus heavier that the aluminum versions. It is difficult to say if they are worth the extra money when compared to the much cheaper aluminum options.

It would great if they would have roughed to prevent the bars from rotating in their base.

Replaced stock T100 Triumph bars. Weird at first, but give the bike a much better feel IMO. A little lower, and a little further forward. You would to need to file the bottom of the brake reservoir bracket if you wanna rotate the brake/throttle assembly down and have it as far inward as it can go, but it works fine where it stops stock.

Best option for 1″ tracker style builds.

I purchased these handlebars based on multiple reviews, the product is well built, looks great however there were complications with the installation for my bike (2013 Kawasaki Vulcan Custom). Minor hiccup with the shipping, I ordered the dimpled version but received the standard version and I wasn’t going to deal with customer service to get them exchanged.

I didn’t want to deal with extra shipping issues and time it may take to get the dimpled version so I kept the bars as it was only a minor detail in my opinion. My bigger concern is the bar is stated to be compatible with my bike however due to the large bends where the controls are mount it causes a concave surface which caused issues.

I had installed as per standard handlebar installation calls for and due to these concave surfaces my 1 inch grips and controls did not fit to standard. I had to offset those parts by 1/2 inch each side as my throttle would catch an edge on the bars and not disengage (wouldn’t return to neutral position) My starter control module (on/off/kill switch) is not perfectly sealed do to the concave surface adding approximately 1/8 or 1/4 inch to the bar.

I tightened the top portion with screws as per normal and the bottom is secured with standard screw but has a 1/4 inch gap which I silicone to ensure water doesn’t enter the module. I was slightly disappointed but I made it work as it still looks and feels good.

I contacted Fortnine and they told me to write a review about it which is why I’m here and want to make sure you’re all aware of the potential issues should you chose this item.

Navigation is smooth with zumo and my overall experience is great. Couple of challenges- I own much older Garmin navigator that supports Voice Command. Why zumo doesn’t support it when there is a microphone for vast majority of helmet communication devices? A step back to me.

Another challenge it doesn’t accept well Australian addresses that are officially a corner of two streets. Try to enter address of McDonalds in St Marys South. Also I ended up buying a third party solution to get device attached to motorcycle as the idea of leaving such expensive navigator just clipped with stock harness out of the box seems to be not well thought through by the designers.

It must be lockable harness as there are too many things to do at a petrol station already- key, helmet, gloves and bag with vallet. Otherwise I like zumo’s responsiveness to touch in glove and speed of route recalculations, great integration wirh smartphone.

The Garmin works exactly as I expect it to. The screen is bright and easy to see even in bright sunlight. The touch screen is responsive, and the UI is intuitive and easy to work with, even while on the bike.

The mounting hardware is perfect, being house-brand RAM mount ball and knuckle pieces. I’m not sure about the charging cable’s ability to deflect heat. It didn’t feel like a silicone sheath. Be careful where you route it, keep it away from the engine as much as possible, or get some heat sheath for it.

There are only 2 real concerns I have for this Nav. First, the quality of the navigation voice is quite low. Compared with Google or Apple’s voice, it’s very low-bitrate; muffled and crunchy. And there are no options to download additional voices.

You’re stuck with the Female American voice if you’re in America. I remember just a few years ago there were entire markets devoted to selling wacky navigation voices. Not anymore, apparently. Second, the unit pauses for a very long time to read instructions or chime alerts.

When I’m listening to music, it will go silent for 2-3 seconds before reading the direction or making the alert sound, then wait another 5 seconds after that before resuming the music. There’s a long enough pause to make me think something is wrong.

These are easily fixable software concerns though. Also worth noting: Even though the unit will charge over USB, the port on my bike doesn’t provide enough power to sustain it. And, by default the screen will only go up to 40% brightness until you connect it to the hard-wired cable.

Each time you plug a USB cord into it, the unit tries to go into sync/update mode. It’s best to bite the bullet and hard-wire it. The bundled power bank is one of the nicer and more full-featured ones I’ve seen.

It has a large and clear LCD readout for battery %, and in/out status of charge. It charges itself over USB Micro or USB-C, and has a Qi pad so you can charge your device wirelessly. It’s about the size of an iPhone, and even feels similar in a pocket.

I was able to charge my iPhone XS from 30% to 100%, as well as a small camping light, and it used a bit more than half the battery. I doubt the capacity is anywhere near what’s rated on the package, but these power banks are never accurate.

Just go by the display and you’ll be fine. The carrying case that came included with the deal is nice, if a bit cheap. It seems like a generic case that happens to fit the Garmin, but wasn’t made specifically for it.

It wouldn’t likely provide much impact protection as there’s no foam or padding inside, but it will keep the unit safe from scratches if you wanted to store the Garmin in a saddlebag.

What a step up from my Garmin 660LM! The screen is bigger, brighter, so much easier to read (especially in the sunlight), quicker and very responsive to light touches. The 1st thing I noticed was the ease of updating.

No longer did I have to incorporate Garmin Express because once connected to my wifi, I did the update right for the device. loved it! I’m also able to import gpx routes I create using Google maps much easier.

The biggest downside is the cost and the ease of theft. The ram mount is nice but anyone can quickly loosen the mount and steal the entire setup. Mounting/dismounting the XT can be a real hassle when you travel and have to stop at, for example, gas stations.

Because of this, I invested in a Touratech locking mount, a Ram locking knob and a small Cambridge Wire Security Lock. While not 100% theft proof, it would take a thief some time to steal so I no longer worry about the occasional 10-15 minute stop anywhere.

Bottom line, great GPS!.

I have owned both the Garmin Edge 500 and Edge 510 before getting the Edge 520. Here’s what I like about the Edge 520: 1) The Edge 500 only supported up to three different bicycles, while the Edge 510 supported up to ten.

One problem with both the Edge 500 and 510 is that I had to remember to switch to the correct bicycle before starting my ride. There were several times, usually when I was running late, where I forgot to switch to the correct bike.

I still recorded a GPS track, but I didn’t benefit from the improved accuracy of the wheel speed sensor, and I collected absolutely no cadence data. I’m not sure how many bikes the Edge 520 supports, but I was able to pair to eight bicycles.

And I don’t have to select which bicycle I’m riding when starting the Edge 520 because it looks for every bike sensor I have ever paired with it. As soon as it receives a signal from one of the speed/cadence sensors that it has already been paired with, it automatically starts using that corresponding bike profile.

Tip: change the name of the speed/cadence sensor from its default, six-digit number ID (e. g. 605309) to something more meaningful like the make/model of the corresponding bike BEFORE attempting to add another bike sensor.

Otherwise, it’s hard to tell which is which. 2) The Edge 510 supported Bluetooth, which enabled it to be paired to a smartphone. But this permission could never be granted permanently the way it is for other Bluetooth accessories like cars, headsets, and speakers.

Consequently, EVERY TIME I started my Edge 510, my phone (an iPhone) would prompt me to allow it to communicate with the Edge 510. And if I found myself far enough away from the Edge 510 that my phone lost communication, the prompt would reappear when I got back in radio range of my phone.

I always found this annoying. 3) When plugged into any of my Windows PCs, I could select “Eject” to safely unplug my Edge 500. For some unknown reason, my PCs would always report an error whenever I tried to eject my Edge 510.

My Edge 510 started corrupting or completely losing recorded exercises after only three years of use, and I suspect that these eject errors might have shortened its life. I am able to eject the Edge 520 from my PC without an error.

Here’s what do not I like about the Edge 520: 1) Both the Edge 500 and Edge 510 are charged or connected to a PC via a Mini USB connection. The Edge 520 uses a Micro USB connection. I despise Micro USB!!! 2) The Edge 520 saves FIT files in a FIT 2.

0 format, making them incompatible with legacy software like Garmin’s Training Center, which uses an older FIT 1. 0 format. A workaround that I have successfully used is to open the FIT files from the Edge 520 with a Hex editor and change the second bit in the file from “20” to “10”, but that’s tedious and one wrong move with a Hex editor will probably render the FIT file useless.

One thing I’m still not sure whether I like or dislike about the Edge 520 is the lack of a touch screen. The Edge 510 only had three physical buttons: power, start/stop, and lap. Yet I found the Edge 510 very intuitive to use because it had a touch screen.

The Edge 520 does away with the touch screen, relying instead on the same power, start/stop, and lap buttons as well as four additional buttons. I’ve only been using the Edge 520 for a few weeks, but I’m finding there’s a bit of a learning curve to moving from the Edge 510.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with my Edge 520, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bicycle-specific GPS receiver.

I’m a road cyclist, participate in sportives and longish training rides. I have a Stages power meter and Di2 gears/sensor as well as the usual heart rate cadence and speed sensors, so like largish screens that can display several items of information live, and a device that also enables me to analyse the sensor data.

I bought the 1030 a month ago after my Edge 1000 stopped working – specifically, the rubber waterproof cover for the on/off button had split a while ago and the switch eventually gave up such that I couldn’t turn the device on or off.

I enquired about repairs but decided that probably wouldn’t be a good use of my cash so researched the options and decided to go for the 1030 rather than 830 for the extra features, great screen and familiarity.

I’ve been impressed from the start with the 1030. Garmin seem to have improved connectivity – it picked-up (and continues to pick-up) my bike sensors much quicker than the 1030 did, it works perfectly with my iPhone and updates to Strava without delay or the need to access WiFi.

And the little design and functionality niggles with the 1000 have been fixed. For instance, the on/off button and cover for charging point on the 1030 are much better, the touch screen is more responsive, the battery lasts twice as long so is fine for the longest of rides (I had the “20% battery life left” on the 1000 towards the end of L’Étape and the Dragon) and while I’ve yet to make real use of the course and mapping features the reviews suggested these were also improved vs the 1000.

In sum, worth the cost.

Up and running within an hour or so of purchase. Downloaded gpx route file from strava and took it out on a 40 mile test run using turn by turn navigation for the first time on a familiar route. Takes a little getting used to.

It told me to do a u turn because I didn’t use a cycle path around a major RB but eventually picked up the route again. I did confuse warnings of bends for turn instructions at first but soon got the hang of it.

The big test was a few days later. I downloaded a 100 + route that was largely unfamiliar to me, fired it up and set off. It performed brilliantly overall. The battery lasted for 10 hours and 10 minutes before it died.

I had set it to auto pause when I set off and didn’t touch it again. I stopped on several occasions and also deviated from my route occasionally for a cafe. The device got a bit cross but all was forgiven when I rejoined the route and it picked it up again.

Turn by turn was excellent including some busy intersections. Slight lag at times but better than anticipated and kept me on track. Only slight issue was towards the end when I kept doing u turns to check on a buddy.

A ‘do a u turn’ instruction appeared at the top of the screen and T by T stopped. However, the route was still showing as was my position so I could still follow it. Eventually I did another u turn to see what happened and T bT resumed immediately.

I used it on 60% brightness. A total of 105 miles. I have deducted a star because of the occasional glitch using the Garmin software and because of the u turn instruction. I wouldn’t be without it. It’s given me the freedom to follow unfamiliar routes with confidence and design my own.

Highly recommended.

I updated my Garmin Edge 1000 that I had for the last four years or so, as the Edge 830 had more functionality that suits my riding. The one thing that stands out head and shoulders over the Edge 1000 tho is the quality of the screen, even on the sunniest of days it’s extremely clear and easy to read, even tho it’s smaller in size than the Edge 1000.

The device loads a lot faster and uploads your rides very quickly indeed. I have also found the battery life to be far superior! There’s some great functions within the device too many to mention, however the graph showing what ascents are coming up is great, it allows you to better judge your efforts across your ride.

If you have been happy with a previous Garmin cycle computer you wouldn’t be disappointed in this device. I considered the 530 however the software is clearly designed for touchscreen operation and it so far has functioned smoothly.

You could of course go for the more expensive Edge 1030, however this device will do everything you will probably need and do it well.

I’ve had my Edge 830 for a couple months now and really, really like the features. I come from over a decade of using multiple Garmin devices so it’s hard for me to comment on any potential user interface quirks as I’m quite used to it.

I use the Workout feature nearly every day and love it. This is where you create the workout with Garmin Connect and upload it to the Edge. Then do the workout with the unit on your bike. There is something I think may have been overlooked here: In Settings, I have it set to automatically stop the timer if I get to a red light and resume when I start moving.

However, in Workout mode the timer just keeps rolling at stop lights. Mildly irritating. I also like the Climb Pro screen. It’s nice to know there’s an eventual end to some of the relentless climbs ;)The wifi/Bluetooth data transfers are much faster than they used to be!Overall, I am (nearly) completely happy with this unit.

My old android phone (Sony Xperia with ANT+) that I’ve been using with the ipbike app finally needed replacing and so I decided to go with the Garmin 830. It picks up my sensors no problem (speed, cadence and AXS gears) just like the phone did.

Due to the smaller screen I’ve had to put a few data fields onto separate views and annoyingly there’s no way to have data fields in different colours for easier recognition with a quick glance. The clarity of mapping is nowhere near as good as Google maps.

But on a positive note it does give turn by turn directions. The device connects fine to wifi and uploads rides no problem. Also downloads workouts from Kudo Coach just fine. It does seem a bit patchy connecting to Garmin Connect app and syncing (often get a device busy message).

The climbpro feature is good. This will come in handy for trips to hilly parts of the country once lockdown ends.

This review is after a months usage. Was looking for a gps computer to start training using hr but was blown away at how expensive these things are. This is the only one which fitted my budget. The unit is decent and can be paired with hr, speed/ cadence sensors and powermeters.

Workouts can be directly uploaded to training peaks and strava when connected to the lezyne app. The elevation data is a bit patchy and the navigation was a pain to setup but am not complaining considering the price.

If you can afford go for wahoo,garmin or lezynes micro c which will allow you to follow structured workout plans.

As an avid cyclist making tracks and uploading them to Strava daily it’s important to have a GPS. The Lezyne Macro Plus works with a smartphone using the Ally2 application to wirelessly upload activities.

This works well. It’s one of the features I was looking for. The screen is small and monochromatic. It uses four side buttons to control it. The buttons are hard to press. The logic of their use to operate the unit is learnable.

In practice it’s good. Compared to a touch screen GPS it seems limiting, but there are benefits to not having a touch screen. A lot of the settings are more accessible from the phone app. Battery life is excellent.

One of the reasons for getting this unit is because the other GPS in the household quits after 8 hours. Sometimes my rides could go on for as many as three days without getting a recharge, such as on a bike packing trip.

This computer is not that great for navigational purposes, perhaps. I have yet to try it out with Komoot’s features for which this unit is supposedly well integrated. Will have to see. I do use and like Komoot.

The small screen makes it hard to see a useful map. The turn by turn prompts of Komoot are allegedly going to work on it, but as I said have not tried yet. It’s quiet. I like that. Beeps from GPS units annoy me.

It does the job I need. The Lezyne mount is different from Garmin and much more secure. One O ring snapped already, so I suspect the ones that come with it are second grade. Not a big deal, but a concern.

I’ve not lost a Garmin in years of rugged mountain biking, but I feel better about the Lezyne system by a long shot. For $100 it’s worth it. To start a ride after turning it on and confirming the “bike” you are using, and obtaining GPS, I start riding and it detects movement and I press enter, the left bottom button, to start recording.

It can work in landscape mode as well, but I think I’ll stick with portrait. It comes with a short micro USB cable but no AC charger plug. The included quick start instructions do not explain enough.

The tracks and data are consistent with other records friends get on the same activity. There are yet some mysteries about this unit. For one thing it seems as though pairing it to different phones, so a family can share it, might not be possible, rather, practical.

And changing the display fields during an activity might not be possible. Haven’t tried that yet though. I conclusion, you get what you pay for. As someone who has some experience with other GPS units I would say that instructions are scant and setting this unit up andusing it for the first time could be frustrating.

However, having used it for 2 weeks now I’m really happy with it’s performance.

We got a Jiobit about a month ago, and use it with our one remaining pet who goes out of doors. Our cat is medium-sized, but he doesn’t seem to mind the Jiobit, which dangles down from his collar. We actually sewed the provided cloth holder to his collar to make it work better – if we tried to attach it directly, using the provided plastic clip, it hung sideways.

We also had to loosen the cloth holder a bit to make it easier to slide the Jiobit in and out. A custom secure collar would be appreciated! The system does a good job of reporting when our pet goes outside the ‘trusted zone.

‘ It’s a little unnerving that there isn’t a ‘force refresh’ button so we can get tracking on demand – you have to wait for the system’s regular automatic update reconnects. Possibly the creators were worried that pet owners would keep pressing ‘refresh’ but our guess is that this would be temporary – the system really does a good job of tracking your pet.

The locations look accurate. We were easily able to compare the map to Google Maps and determine that the places our pet went were plausible – no signals from office buildings. One time we though the Jiobit was in error – it made our cat look like he was inside the house.

Turns out he was walking across the roof to a back door! More distant tracking with the cellular network works best. We noticed that close-range Bluetooth had some trouble narrowing down location (you would think it would be more accurate).

Don’t expect to see a move of a few inches, but tens of feet moves always show up. There is a beta Timeline feature allowing you to see the route your pet took. In our case it was really helpful – we discovered that our cat’s disappearances from the back yard all went to a single house a few hundred feed away, near a small park.

Radar (we named our cat before we got the Jiobit) makes a beeline to that house every few days, and comes back by a direct route. We suspect this is a house that feeds strays. The Timeline feature should definitely be made standard.

This is definitely a good tool for peace of mind.

This product proved to be very disappointing. I placed it on my cat over a month ago, who is frequently outside in our large yard, I thought it would be interesting to see where she goes and to be able to find her in case she didn’t make it home.

Very minimal activity since then, rarely a notification of movement. Yesterday morning I received a notification that she had left the home area, and the GPS marked her as being almost 1/2 mile away across a 6 lane expressway near a warehouse.

As one would expect, I panicked and began the search. While tracking with my cell phone at the designated location, I was informed that the “location accuracy was weak”. The whole purpose of this device is to pinpoint the location when the animal has left the trusted area, and when you need it most, it tells you right up front it isn’t reliable.

Fast forward through an entire day of random notifications, that she was home, left again, home, left again, across the highway again, sometimes less than 5 minutes apart I was receiving notifications that she was home and then 1/2 mile away again.

All night, repeated notifications that she was home, even though she was not. And the most disappointing part was that the feature to “ring the device” (so it makes a noise for easy finding) is NOT something you can do while the animal is considered out of their area.

So even recovering a dead body by listening for the device in the middle of a field is not something this tracking device can help you do. She was on my front porch in the morning, as usual. Complete waste of my sanity, time, and money.

The company won’t provide a refund because I didn’t buy it directly from them.

I started using this for my wandering jerkface cat four days ago and overall I love it. The app was easy to set up on my iPhone, and the tracking works very well. I set a 100-foot radius because my yard is small.

The first day I walked to track him down several times. I also found out that he was wandering in areas I hadn’t know about before. It has given me real peace of mind. A few minor criticisms are below: 1) Getting it on the collar was a bit of a challenge.

I had to buy a breakaway collar because the cat doesn’t like me messing with him and I needed to minimize the time to take the device on and off. Why on and off? Read on. 2) Battery life sucks so far when he’s out of range of my home WiFi network.

I understand it should get better after a week(?), but this is the fourth day I’ve used it and it’s gone down 34% in the less than four hours that the cat has been out of range of my home WiFi network (battery barely loses juice when it’s connected to the home WiFi).

So I have to irritate the cat to take the collar off to put it in the charger, every night. Oh, and charging takes a while. At least three minutes per 1% charge. So it will take somewhere around 5 1/2 hours to charge fully if it runs all the way down.

3) Also, I wish there was a second clip on the device so that it would lay flat against the collar instead of sliding down to the bottom of his collar and just hanging. Or that the device was somehow smaller.

The cat doesn’t seem to mind the dangling so far, however. 4) When you’re out searching for your pet and you get near enough to the device for it to connect your phone via bluetooth, the map changes the pet’s location to the location of your phone.

That’s not very helpful if you haven’t spotted the pet yet and you maybe don’t want to tip it off to your presence (my cat fortunately comes when I call him). Temporarily turning off the bluetooth on your phone will resolve this issue, presumably increasing battery usage.

Kind of does what it’s supposed to do. Nice volume for the ring, but doesn’t always alert me when I don’t have an item with the chipolo on it when I leave. I bought a pk of 4, and one wasn’t working.

Support is having me do a bunch of tests, and now thinking it’s the battery, which I believed from the get go, now I need to take a battery out of one and try that. So the thing is, is the end result going to end in me getting a replacement? Why didn’t they just send a replacement right away, and request the defective one back? Pretty frustrating, because I’m jumping through all these hoops for them when they know I just purchased them directly to.

Maybe put a pull tab over the battery, because thinking the other ones might fail sooner than a year because usually that’s what you do first is pull the plastic to connect the battery.

Works as advertised. My Android phone stopped the app from working as intended but after following instructions to enable the app at all times and disabling the power warning in the phone for this app all is well.

Not easy to accomplish but guidance was good. Would like to be able to group Chipolos together so I can enable or disable groups with one easy button. I have several bags and other stuff with Chipolos in them.

I take different sets of bags according to what I am doing so it would be handy to just touch one button to enable a particular set of bags and other items. The tags worth well and have reminded me of bags left behind in time to retrive them.

Good app.

I purchased the Chipolo ONE 4-Pack for security and safety because I travel a lot: work gatherings and lately training, industry conferences and occasional customer meetings. Sometimes items get misplaced or accidentally taken by others.

I put one (blue) in my luggage and another (red) in my laptop bag. I was surprised by how easy it was to install the app, connect and configure the Chipolos. I gave the others (yellow and green) to my son and spouse.

Like me, they attached it to their favorite things. And they found it easy to setup and use. In sum, an awesome product at a very affordable price.

I put the Biltwell Tracker bar on my 02 Sporty Roadster. It’s basically the same as the stock bar but a couple inch narrower and much flatter. I wanted a cafe racer look to impress worth honeys, plus since that probably won’t work I figured I could spend my ‘date’ money on something that looked nice.

The bar is dimpled for your wires, but it is not drilled for the external wire clips. You could drill the four holes if ya really wanted to but zip ties work just the same. The bar is not knurled but once you torque the top clamp down it doesn’t move.

I sanded off the powdercoat and polished the throttle section with some fine emery. It seemed to be binding just a tad but its smooth as greased nuts after a quick rubba-dubba-do with the ol’ gritty paper.

I flipped my mirrors for that extra cool look, and the left mirror just clears the tank with stock risers and some slight rotating of the bar. Good powder coating, seems to hold up nice. One slight draw back was that the bar is much lighter than stock and that translated to a lot of vibrations at speed.

I swapped the bushings back to the stock rubber ones (had hard ploy ones for da’ old risers) and this seemed to fix the issue. So yeah, the off-shore / USA Biltwell empire of chopper parts supplies yet another quality product.

No complaints. Get a torque wrench and a manual.

I bought these for my 2006 Stratoliner, because of the internal wiring slots. but my particular set only had the slots at the grips and not the center(like the picture clearly shows). So. i used them on my Warrior instead.

Like I said, Good/not good. I had hoped quality control would have noticed only two CNC slots, not three. Fit and quality other than that. was excellent.

The quality of the bars is great. The black coating has not imperfections and all bends are smooth and even. I ordered the internal wired bars. My only complaint is that while the bars have holes at the controls to feed your wires through, it does not have a hole in the center portion of the bar for the wires to exit and connect to your wire harness.

Is this a manufacturing oversight or do they leave it like that for us to drill the holes out at our desired location? It would have been nice to have been informed about this before the purchase.

Tracker DOES NOT provide exact location, ONLY provides an estimated location within a one mile radius. The company itself does nothing if motorbike is stolen i. e. no way to provide exact location, very slow to update movement and only updates if there is signal and still inaccurate and they only see exactly what we would see.

Only positive is they call phone if vehicle is being tampered with but if it is stolen, the tracker itself DOES NOT give precise location. Worth half its market price in my opinion, waste your money if you wish.

My experience is based off my motorbike being stolen with the monimoto device installed and these are the issues that came with it.

After 12 months the GSM module failed, wouldn’t recommend. Far too expensive for one year of use. Remember you have to pay 36 for the aim as well. Very poor product and a waste of time constantly resetting to keep it working.

Not very environment either. Product produced for one year of service????.

After researching various Garmin products, and calling Garmin Customer Support, I purchased an In-Reach Mini2 and an Edge 1040.

The Mini2 provides the off-grid live tracking as well as off-grid texting to family and friends, and SOS to emergency services. After initial setup, I did call Garmin Customer Support to complete the integration and syncing of both devices with each other, with the Garmin apps (2), and with my laptop.

In addition, I use Strava, so I had to get both devices set up to report activities to Strava, create routes, and then upload routes to the Edge 1040. The Garmin Customer Support rep was absolutely awesome; he helped me through the process, and then we tested all the integration across devices and platforms.

Once I understood the difference between Glances and Widgets on the Edge, I added a Widget screen for the In-Reach Mini2 so now I can operate the Mini2 through the Edge provided the Mini2 is turned on.

This works seamlessly! Although I wish there was a single cycling specific computer with In-Reach capability, the combination of both units works well. The Edge 1040 is very capable, although I don’t use all the power and training functions.

The screen is sharp, and it’s easy to swipe pages from stats to map to profile to etc. All these pages (glances?) are customizable (data fields/screen). I’m quite pleased. Suggestion for Garmin: please include 2 inserts and 2 mounts in the Bundle package so that the unit can be installed on at least 2 bikes.

Also, the rubber protector should also come with the bundle, and not require a separate cost and order. Cool stuff, and it’s now much safer to ride off grid.

Second time posting this review because it was deleted the first time. I purchased the Edge 1040 Solar and it’s got loads of problems. The Navigation looks better post track, but it’s off on the road.

It’s not even close to pre-populated routes, misses turn queues all the time, etc. So you’ve got to stare at the map the whole time or you’re gonna miss turns. There’s also a serious problem around % Grade.

The Edge 1040 averages the grade over at least 1000-2000 feet of distance. So you’ll be halfway up a hill before it reflects a change in grade. Or you’ll be 1000-2000 feet up a long shallow grade before it registers on the Edge 1040.

Likewise you’ll be on the top of a hill and the Edge 1040 will say that you’re still on an 8% grade. I contacted support about this and the feedback I got says that this isn’t a priority and may not be fixed ‘until a future version of Edge’.

So if you’ve used previous generations like the Edge 1000, don’t upgrade. Using the 1040 for training won’t help you. It’ll actually hurt your performance on hills and climbs if you ever relied on knowing the grade to trim your power output to the terrain.

I’ll add that the Climb screen is interesting but without an accurate real time grade being displayed it is literally a useless graphic that tells you what the grade WAS 2000 feet ago as you struggle up a 14% climb.

If support has you replace it, beware that all the rides you’ve done, all the custom screens, all the routes, everything you’ve done on your Edge 1040, will be lost. There’s no transfer of any of that.

If you don’t need the battery life from this thing, skip it. None of the reviewers or youtube influencers who reviewed this device cover these issues. Also they don’t publish the MAC address of the device anywhere in the setup section so you can’t secure your WiFi network without an air sniffer to sus that out on your own.

This product is a fail.

Quick disclaimer – I got these boots yesterday, and have not put them through the paces yet. My primary concern was fit, as I’m located overseas and cannot easily exchange items from RZ (in fact I can’t at all).

I wear a US 12 and ordered a size 45 – they fit perfectly. I tried to get scientific with triangulating the different size charts offered by Revzilla, the manufacturer’s website and various other websites, and was a bit nervous that they’d be too small, but they are dead on.

The sizing chart provided by Revzilla is on point (translating EU to UK to US). This is my second purchase from Oxford and I am now an avowed loyalist. Their products are tangibly of outstanding quality but somehow 50-60% the cost of top-shelf brands.

These boots feel extremely durable, with a hard toe box, thick but flexible sole, and thick, hard shin-guard insert in the front. While I do worry a bit about breathability, they’re comfortable and flexible right out of the box.

Other reviewers complained about having to jam their feet into the boots, but mine slid right in without an issue. The only think I’ll knock these boots on is the width of the top opening when zipped and velcroed.

I know they’re not designed to be a tight-to-the-calf motocross or ADV boot with ratchet closures, but I would have liked a narrower top. The opening flares quite wide and it’s difficult to get a pair of jeans down around the boot (to be fair, I don’t wear bootcut jeans, so maybe it’s my fault).

All in all, another fantastic product from Oxford. I will update after getting some miles on them.

This isn’t a knock against Oxford whose customer service department has been very responsive on another matter. My shoe size is 12 and I’ve been wearing size 46, medium width, motorcycle boots for the past 14 years.

I bought two pairs of these boots. When the size 46 pair arrived I was very impressed at the quality of the boot, it is very well put together. When I put them on I could only get my foot in with great difficulty and found the foot bed was too short in length and I could not even begin to close the zipper.

When I went to take them off I needed someone else to pull the boots off they were that tight. I sent the 46’s back and ordered the 47’s hoping they would be large enough. The 47’s were almost as tight though the foot bed seemed to be the right length but it was so narrow I could not pull the zipper up more than half an inch.

Again I needed help to remove the boots. I’m disappointed. Cycle Gear has been great though with the easiest return process going.

These boots seem well made, have nice protective features, and seem like they would break in and be decent enough to walk around in. Also, the actual foot sizing was dead on. That said, I have skinny bird legs.

The opening was just too big and my legs felt like toothpicks in a coffee can. Ok, not that bad but enough to be uncomfortable. I tried them with a pair of moto jeans (Dainese D1 Evo). The jeans were too tight to go over the boot but too big to comfortable go inside.

If you wear baggier pants to go over or tighter pants to go inside you’ll be fine. If you have normal sized legs you’ll probably be fine. The boots did seem like a good value for the money so I’ve ordered the Oxford Warrior as a replacement.

They’re a shorter boot with what appears to be a more narrow top/opening.

A well made, high quality, very robust jacket. Feels substantial as soon as you pick it up, with a nice weighty feel to it. Good quality zippers, plenty of pockets. Has a thermal layer which is long sleeved.

Armour all around. Feels comfortable when wearing it, I am normally a medium (40 UK/50 Europe) and fits me perfectly. It’s not as technical as Dainese jacket, being a small company Helstons’ jackets have more of an artisan finish, which some people may prefer.

One bad thing: the cuffs at the end of the sleeves are rather too tight and feel a bit uncomfortable until the leather breaks in. Overall a great jacket to add to your existing collection or as your single, do everything jacket.

I ordered from Urban Rider on 2/15/21 (after hours) and the jacket arrived at my home in the US on 2/19/21!! The jacket is absolutely beautiful and it appears to be very well constructed. I ordered a 2xl and it ended up being just perfectly snug.

The accordion side panels saved me from needing a 3xl, Even with the thermal liner removed, this jacket does run a bit tighter than the Helston’s Genesis canvas jacket (2xl) that I have. So, if you are on the fence with sizing then maybe you should consider sizing up.

The leather is very soft and comfortable right out of the box. I can’t wait for the weather to clear up over here so I can try this jacket out in a couple of days.

One of my main concerns before buying this jacket was whether the brown colour would be too light, some of the pictures I had seen online showed it as a lighter tan coloured brown, however I was really pleased when it arrived and it was a beautiful dark chocolatey brown that looks both well aged and high quality.

Once on it feels incredible, the armour is positioned perfectly and due to the high quality of the tailoring is does not wiggle or move about too much (an issue I have had with cheaper jackets) and the quality extends to the detailing such as pockets, buckles and zips which all feel high end.

Love the ribbed sections that make it flexible but still look and feel really nice and the little additions such as the extra buckles on the sides, the zips down the wrists look awesome when unzipped, very retro.

\nIve only worn it on the bike in warm weather so far and find it fine when kept open, however could get a little hot if youre wearing it in summer for long journeys as not much breathability (the same could be said for the majority of leather jackets though).

\nThe inner gilet doesnt have the same feel of high quality as the jacket, it just feels mediocre, however it fits/connects well in the jacket, personally not fussed and I appreciate that the waterproof lining is going to make it feel a little more crinkly.

I didnt buy it for the gilet, if youre hopeing to get a fantastic gilet maybe consider something else. \nI generally pick an XS but that was not available, so I took the small and im happy with the fit.

\n\nOverall I couldnt be happier with this product, It manages to look fashionable, expensive (I would say it looks more expensive that It was), retro and just plain badass. \nI will be buying more products from the Helstons products soon as Ive been so impressed with this one.
