11 Best Trackless Cat Litter (2022 Updated)

I bought this litter based on other reviews and I definitely have not been disappointed! (So thank you all!!) As background – Our household was using another name brand litter for our 2 cats. One of the litter boxes in our home is in a small bathroom where the ammonia odor quickly built up and was potent enough to linger even once scooped and topped off with fresh litter – not to mention it tracking everywhere! But not this litter! It really does what it says it will.

The smells from the box are absolutely contained for wellllllllll over a week and while not eliminated entirely (can any traditional style litter really do that though) the tracking of the litter has improved biggggg time! Now, full disclosure, I haven’t truly counted the number of days it stays “fresh” for, but I still can say for certain that in my experience, the scent is controlled for at least a full 7 days (and likely longer if I had actually counted!).

It sounds dramatic but seriously, what used to be a smell that felt like it overpowered a whole part of the house now is gone to the point where I’ve forgotten about it for longer than was “usual” and slacked on my litter scooping duties a little bit.

It also clumps way better than the other brand name we were using and the cats took to this no problem which is good considering I was concerned about them being sensitive to the grain and scent of this new litter.

Personally, I don’t mind the fabreze scent either! We were previously using unscented with our other brand (which really didn’t seem unscented at all) and with this one, despite it supposed to have a fabreze scent, I don’t feel like the fabreze lingers beyond those first few moments after you pour the litter into the box.

It pretty much works the same as if I spray regular fabreze for other scents in the house – it hangs around for a few minutes and then that there’s no air-freshener or litter box smell. All of these things have 100% converted me to this litter, and I’m so thankful I got it!.

As a lifelong consumer of this brand, I decided to purchase this litter because I love the Fresh Step brand and had yet to try this particular version. It’s seriously amazing. It’s been a solid 2 weeks, actually over, and it STILL smells like I just replaced it! The “Clean Paws” aspect however, I can’t speak too much about because for whatever reason my boy just loves to kick really HARD when he’s digging or covering his business, throwing about 3 or 4 times more litter, than the average cat, from my experience, so there is constantly tons of litter around his box, and I’m not sure that will ever change, unfortunately.

However, that I can handle, it’s the nasty smells that frustrate me most, so since discovering Fresh Step Clean Paws Ultra Absorb with Febreeze, any and all embarrassing litterbox aromas are non-existent.

Hands down, this is the best litter I’ve ever experienced in my twenty something years of owning cats. Not to mention, the absorbency is particularly amazing, as well. Not only does it clump immediately, but the clumps are tight and size proportionate, so as not to waste, and they don’t break apart and get messy when trying to scoop.

I HIGHLY highly recommend this litter to cat owners, and the Fresh Step brand in general!.

I love the product but watch how it’s delivered. so I ordered three packs of 38 lb fresh step kitty litter I end up falling asleep last night woke up at 7:49 p. m. and my Christmas tree was on my porch that I ordered from Walmart and I happen to look out my storm door and I seen some outside my gate on the sidewalk outside of my yard so I wasn’t even on my property so I opened the door to see if I see what I really think I’m seeing yes they left all three packages right outside my gate on the public sidewalk.

I’m blown away that it wasn’t stolen. my Christmas tree was ordered from Walmart that delivery person put it on the porch. the delivery for the cat litter was supposed to be the exact same thing but they were different deliveries they weren’t brought together.

this is totally unacceptable so if you order this kitty litter don’t be surprised if they don’t bring it to your door because that’s heavy but I guess it was too heavy they wouldn’t sell it and have it up for delivery.

so that’s why delivery trucks have dollies anyway just be careful because I know I’m not the only one they’ve done this to. I order this off the internet because I’m disabled luckily my friend pulled up and he carried them up into my house.

cuz there’s no way I could have got them into my house myself no way. delivery instructions were to leave them inside the storm door on the porch. the Christmas tree delivery guy had no problem following them instructions.

I’ve had deliveries where they just put them right inside my over the side of the fence into the grass part of my yard there’s no beware of dog signs there’s no dogs even around my yard I have cats there’s no reason for them not to be able to bring it up to the parts cuz this is just totally unacceptable so just beware that if you order this kitty litter and it says it’s been delivered but it ain’t out there somebody probably took it cuz it’s probably been out on the sidewalk.

This is amazing! If you don’t like the “chalk scent” of clay cat litter/clumping litter, or the way the smell of cat litter is present despite your best cleaning efforts, try this product. It started when my lil man (cat) developed allergies.

I thought the dust was bothering him. So I tried alternative litter. I had no idea how much the wheat alternative (versus corn) completely changed our whole environment. The ammonia smell of the urine alone takes on a less ‘nose hair curling’ odor.

In fact, there is no intrusive odor at all, given the fact that no one even knows we have cats until they are seen. Nor is there the barnyard smell of corn. Sorry, I was a farm girl, so I know what I’m talking about, and maybe there are some that like that smell, that’s awesome! (I actually have my business in my home so it’s important to me that my clients not be subjected to anything offensive.

)The cleaning of the box is actually pleasant due to the elimination, or fair to say, softened impact of ammonia on the senses. I have allergies myself and the scooping of litter no longer offends the nose and lungs.

And let’s not forget to mention the reduction of dust in the house! Love this product, never going back to traditional litter! Side note: though my lil man other issues, I am convinced this has lessened his symptoms regardless.

This is absolutely the worst cat litter I have ever used. I had been using pretty litter for years and loved it however their shipping options became too complicated. I figured I’d try a new litter I could purchase locally as needed.

This litter came suggested as one of the better natural ones so I grabbed a bag to try. I used it for 3 months and during that time, I had noticed the smell of cat urine in my home had gotten quite awful.

I had just added a new kitty to our home and had thought maybe it was the new kitty or my older cat rebelling. Eventually after assuming one or both of my kitties had to be peeing somewhere around the house, as the smell was soo strong.

I purchased a black light and found no pee anywhere. I was stumped, as again the smell was soo very strong around the whole house. It finally dawned on me the only thing I changed in thr past 3 months was the litter.

I quickly purchased a different litter from the store and tossed all of this wheat litter out. Within hours of it being out of their litter boxes and my home, the smell quickly begun to go away. Now 2 days later, my home no longer smells of cat urine.

In summary. While the litter was ok for clumping, the odor control was almost odor creating and amplifying. How anyone uses this litter in their home is beyond me.

I’d been using grass seed litter and decided to try this similar product, so this is a comparison between the two. This litter’s particle size is slightly bigger, and seems a bit less dusty/ tracking prone than when I was using the grass seed only.

Everything was going just fine when transitioning to this one, but since emptying the litter box that was a mix of both litters and using just this, the issue of clumping became apparent. Grass seed litter clumps way better than this stuff.

This wheat based litter’s pee clumps break up practically as soon as you touch them with the scoop. This means it takes way longer to scoop because you end up having to use the corner of the scoop to fish out tiny bits that would otherwise remain mixed in and no doubt stink up the box.

I’ll be getting some grass seed litter again and mixing them until the bag I have is done. If you’re set on trying sWheat scoop, I suggest getting the multicat version that claims to clump twice as strong.

I’ve had this brand for several months until I finally switched it out this week. It starts out great at first. A light-weight, earth-friendly alternative that my senior cats took to immediately. However, this litter was bad news for me in the long run, and here’s the reasons why: 1.

It tracks EVERYWHERE. – I found it in every corner of my house because. 2. It bonded to my cat’s fur. – The second it gets wet, it turns into this glue-like paste that bonds like cement to anything it touches; and I mean anything and everything it touches.

Walls, floors, fur, metal surfaces. you name it, it’s there. You are going to learn very quickly just how far your cats can flick litter in a room because I’m scrubbing it off from very high spots on the walls.

3. Almost impossible to clean off. – My poor senior cat now has two “shoes” of this crud perma-bonded to his feet like hard shells. They cannot lick it off, and that’s probably for the best because I loathe to think what kind of damage it might do to their digestive track if it’s THIS hard to break down.

I couldn’t get it off of him even after I bathed him and submerged it all in water. It just won’t break down or dissolve! Shaving it off is also nigh impossible because it bonded so close to his skin.

I’m going to have to wash this off in rounds and hope it all comes off eventually. Because your cats can’t lick it off, and it’s stuck to their feet with urine as it’s bonding agent, this makes everything about this litter completely unhygienic in the long run.

My short haired senior is able to keep relatively clean because of how she uses the litter box. So it is possible that some won’t have the same problems. But that still doesn’t fix the fact that it glues to everything it touches; and my diva feline flicks this stuff everywhere.

I can’t do this anymore. It’s caused so many long-term problems for me that the pros are not worth the cons, and I’ll be spending months cleaning up after this product.

I really really wanted to like this cat litter. It was recommended to me by a fellow cat lover, who said they loved this stuff. I bought it because I loved the natural material and the lack of artificial fragrance.

This stuff tracks so badly that my apartment looks like a barn when I came home. It also SMELLED like a barn, I personally did not like the smell of this stuff and I love natural scents. The odor control is also not great.

The litter stuck to my kitties paws, even their fur, and the mess was just out of control. Additionally, the bags I ordered came ripped. I’ve noticed other reviewers stating this as well, and it needs to be fixed.

This contributed even MORE mess to my home, and it’s just another thing people do not need to be dealing with when they’re trying to clean the litter box. Sadly I couldn’t wait to get rid of this stuff.

I really wanted to love it, but there was nothing I liked about it. I now use Arm and Hammer platinum and it works great.

Personally I have never found the magical litter that keeps my house smelling like a house, doesn’t create dust storms each time a box is used or sifted, and doesn’t leave sharp gravel throughout my house.

This is as close as it gets to perfection. I was like many here a true and loyal fan of Fresh Step Ultra. T’was the best at clumping, containing odors, and truly scent free. But boy was it a dust tsunami and tracked a virtual gravel driveway.

Still loved it. Simply unscented has some organic odor which I guess is how they can say no perfumes or what have you. I think it’s the charcoal. It all makes me queasy and smells like dryer softener sheets.

This smells only when I pour it from the box. Dissipates and not a problem when scooping. Simply gets a bit more saturated, not wet, just heavier as it absorbs, sooner than Ultra but is top notch at absorbing any and all odors.

We are extremely conscientious of odor always asking people if they can smell anything. We have four boxes for two territorial critters in a large two level home. The dust situation is certainly better than Ultra but dust free? How can clay be dust free to begin with? Tracking is better than Ultra my cats aren’t normally big high intensity box scratchers so there aren’t a lot of flying pebbles – transparency – We do mix this with about a third of another brand that is finer in texture ( did this also with Ultra where it was really needed more) , creating the best mix for all, my cement floors, bare feet, and paws.

Not really sure what the differences are in the Fresh Step rebranded lineup. They really made it confusing now with paws, outstretched, simply advanced, and plain simply. I just want this stuff to not occupy so much of my brain power and be available when i need it, for as long as I need it.

Fresh Step Simply Unscented Advanced is the one. Don’t mess with it.

I got two kittens in 2020 and started them on Dr. Elsey Kitten Attract which was amazing for clumping. When they became adults, I thought Dr. Elsey Ultra would be on par, but sadly it was not. Since then, I have been on the hunt for the best litter, specifically for clumping.

I have tried: Arm & Hammer (multicat original, cloud control, absorbX, clump and seal slide), Okocat, Tidy cats unscented, Elsey multicat and ultra. I also have tried combining litters to see if there was some magic combination, but no.

Fresh step advanced is by bar the BEST at forming distinct clumps that don’t cement to the bottom of the box, and as long as you clean every couple of days the clumps don’t crumble apart with the scooper.

It is slightly dusty, but most clay litters are. My only big gripe with it is that it says “unscented” but there definitely is a slight scent to it. Not nearly as potent as a true scented litter, but my preference would be a completely scent-free litter.

I am currently testing out how a combo of half Fresh Step Advanced + half Elsey’s Ultra does. My hope is to cut the scent in half and save some money cause Elsey Ultra is still cheaper! But this is an excellent and affordable option, and I hope to God they don’t change their formula like I know so many other litters have.

I tried this litter after a friend recommended it; I had been using Precious Cat litter for ten years and was getting very frustrated at how dusty and inefficient at odor control it had become. I have an asthmatic cat, and the little clouds of dust I would get while dumping litter in the box or scooping were bad news for him! I have to say I was really surprised that Free and Clean worked so well, because in my mind grocery store litter is associated with that awful ammonia smell, the old lady with too many cats smell.

It was actually quite the opposite: It is extremely low dust, nothing while pouring it in, nothing while scooping. The only time I start seeing dust is several weeks in, when it’s time to empty the box completely and wash it.

I have two large litter boxes and several cats in a two bedroom apartment and there is now ZERO smell from the boxes, even right after the cats go number 2. You would never guess cats lived here. Until you see the litter all over the floor, that is.

Yes, that’s the trade-off: the litter is super low dust, scoops very easily (no more chiseling off concrete blocks of pee stuck to the box, yay), has superb odor control BUT it tracks EVERYWHERE. And when I say everywhere, I mean all over every piece of furniture, all over the floor two rooms over, all over your bed, etc.

It also sticks very easily to fluffy longhaired cat butts. For me, the lack of smell and the absence of dust more than compensate for the constant sweeping I have to do, but if that drives you nuts that may not be the right product for you.

It’s also pretty pricey, and the packaging is so much plastic, I am not fond of it. But in the end until I find better, I am sold on this one!.

Tidy Cats brand litter has always been my ‘go to’ litter. Sadly, my confidence in the brand has been greatly compromised by the last box of Tidy Cats Instant Action I purchased. I am now in search of a brand that delivers what is stated on the packaging and in the marketing.

My first complaint is that clearly, the formulation for this product changed and consumers were not notified. I’ve been using this formulation and others without significant issues for many, many years.

This latest box, however, stunned me. My second complaint is that this litter literally tracked EVERYWHERE in my house – three floors – and everything in my house has a layer of litter dust and kitty paw prints on it.

I keep litter boxes in the basement, as far away from the living spaces as possible and always have. I was absolutely astounded at how far the litter and dust traveled. Of greatest concern was the dust.

I was cleaning the litter box one day and noticed that my chest began to burn. Only after I finished cleaning the litter box and moved onto other things around the house did I realized that the burning had subsided.

I attributed the burning to the dust and have worn a mask since then when cleaning or filling the boxes I have no idea how this product / change in formulation made it to market. I will be cleaning up dust and litter for weeks to come, even though I’ve replaced the litter with another product.

I tried this litter before I had covered litter boxes and didn’t love it because of its light weight it tracked all over the floor, however since I have switched to covered boxes it doesn’t seem to be an issue.

I will say that the clumping with this litter is much better and does not fall apart when trying to scoop it like the heavy litter. The light weight makes all of the scooping seem easier because there is less resistance and the “crumbs” that fall back in from the clumps that you seem to keep re-scooping with traditional litter are non existent with light weight, making it an overall quicker, more pleasant experience that has led to less procrastination and dread.

I’ve actually been more consistent with keeping up with scooping which is definitely a win. It does cost more but in my opinion worth it and it does lower the price if you buy the large container, something I never did before because the weight made it unmanageable, but not an issue with the light weight.

I definitely recommend that you use it with a covered litter box to reduce the spread from kicking and scratching. It does fling further than regular litter. I have found that covered litter boxes are not as aggravating if you remove the whole top and scoop.

I also think this brand/type has less dust than all the litters I’ve tried and I’ve tried a lot.

I bought one of these in mid July to hopefully eliminate some of the smell and mess associated with the cats litter box. Our cat was used to going into an enclosure as we had her old tray in a box. Even still it took about 3 weeks before she would use this Loo.

I had to lock her in her play enclosure without any other options for 2 weeks to convince her to use it consistently. Now that she is using it she often wees with her head facing the back of the drum, half her wee sprays out and runs down the front.

The issue with this is the front of the box is not water proof at all. The wee runs into the button (now broken) and also fills the slide out draw (the part you keep the spare bags). I often have the wee running along the floor through the tile grout.

Smarty Pears support was very responsive and sent a replacement button but there is nothing to stop same issue again. The amount of wee I had to clean out of the enclose to replace the button was insane.

For now, I have purchased clear vinyl wrap to cover the button and part of the enclosure to hopefully seal it a little. The enclosure is not a completely smooth surface so I’m not sure the vinyl is going to remain stuck once exposed to the wee, time will tell.

Not every cat will face inward when using this box but I’m surprised at how badly this device is compromised if any wee escapes. The slot the button sits in was completely full of wee submerging the bottom of the circuit board.

When the cat dose get it right and all the business ends up in the drum, I’m happy with how it all works. As long as you empty the bag when it tells you I have found the smell to be heaps better that the old litter box and I love not having to scoop litter.

I researched all of the robot litter boxes I could find before deciding on Leo’s Loo Too. I chose it because of the larger waste drawer and the uv sterilization, and the overall design. It came assembled and basically ready to use out of the box.

It is very quiet, easy to take apart to clean, and most importantly it is very safe! It immediately stops a cleaning cycle if it senses movement in the box of any kind. The ease draw traps odor well.

I have multiple rescue cats and both large (Maine coon) and small cats use it. Not everyone is a fan, but I have multiple litter boxes around the house anyway so it is not a big deal. I would eventually like to replace them all with Leo’s Loo Too.

I have friends who own another brand and they have had multiple issues with litter falling out during cleaning and even had a cat chew through a power cord. Leos loo has a very sturdy cord and I have not had any litter come close to falling onto the floor while cleaning.

I do recommend testing the box after adding litter because I had added too much and a good bit went into the waste tray when I did a test cycle. Heavier litter works the best and helps to reduce any litter waste.

I have 3 cats using this one box and in the few weeks I’ve had it I’ve only had to empty it 3 times and add a small amount of litter back each time. Overall I highly recommend this box, and it does come with a 90 day trial if you want some time to test it.

I hope to purchase a few more as my budget allows.

I can’t recommend the Leo’s Loo Too highly enough. I had been on the fence about spending so much on a litter box, but I have not been disappointed. I am very happy with this purchase. The drawer holds a lot of waste.

When I get an alert that the drawer is full, I can usually shake it to level it out and get a few more days out of it. It is also very good at containing the smell. The monthly cleaning is simple. There are really only two parts, the top and the globe and taking them apart and putting them back together is very intuitive.

Pairing the device to my phone also went smoother than I anticipated. I followed along with the instructions, and it worked the first time. It’s silly, but I love getting the alerts that my kitten has used the litter box while I am at work.

It makes me think about her and destress for a minute. Lastly, the customer service is amazing. I had a couple questions right after I purchased the box, they were quick to respond and also followed up to see if I needed anything else and to check how I was liking the litter box.

If you are on the fence, don’t be. You will not regret this purchase!.

My cat is asthmatic and I can’t stand the scent of heavily-scented cat litter, so I’ve tried at least 10 different litters over the last 9 years. After a while I found Dr. Elsey’s respiratory relief and it was pretty good.

Used that for several years. But recently they changed their formula and it barely reduces odor now. So again, I went on the hunt for a decent unscented litter that isn’t too dusty and can control odor.

I took a chance on this litter and so far it has been excellent. There is a very very slight scent but can only smell that scent periodically. The dust is pretty low. Clumps well. Holds in odor pretty well.

I’ve learned over the years that every clay cat litter is going to track… It gets into the spaces between their toes and comes out. It’s inevitable. Just use a litter mat and vacuum daily. I recommend this litter.

Used to use two ScoppFree auto litter boxes, but agree with others reviews, they changed the litter mix and it doesn’t last as long, or work as well. Plus it’s a pain to clean the doots from the wire scooper grate thingy (yes, they were set at the longest.

20 minutes). So switched to a single Litter Robot and LOVE it with Fresh Step unscented. The only complaint is that the LR has a “fill to” mark inside, and if you fill with Fresh Step to that level, you get an error every time it tries to cycle.

Finally figured out it was that Fresh Step was too heavy for that amount. Just reduce the amount by a bit and it works perfectly. Of course, some of the time the LR stops because our cats consider it “CTV” (Cat TV) and have to get in the middle of it while it is cycling.

Curiosity + Cats? LOL but then after the delay timer, it kicks in and finises the cycle.

This Fresh Step Unscented litter helps my cat’s asthma. She used to cough, wheeze, and hack every time she had to use her litter box and I felt so terrible. I tried this unscented litter and the issue ceases to exist.

And, even though it’s unscented, I don’t have any trouble with the yucky litter box smells. So, it keeps odor down very well without smelling like you just dumped 10 gallons of febreze around the litter box.

The litter also is easy to scoop. I have had clumping litters in the past that were impossible to scoop cuz they didn’t stay clumped very well. I have never had that issue with any Fresh Step variety, including this one.

As tofu litter is more popular in Asian countries and after knowing my friend uses that for her cat, I wanted to try this to replace the clay litter I’ve been using for the past years. I got the original one because I just can’t imagine any artificial fruity fragrance mixed with cat pee to smell pleasant.

I mixed a thin layer of the old clay litter and the whole bag of tofu litter as transition. It doesn’t cause trouble because the finer clay stays at the bottom and tofu litter on top even when mixed, and this doesn’t affect the clumping either.

My first impression on this litter is, weirdly but honestly, they kinda smell good. The clay litter I used is not fragranced and I didn’t mind the sandy smell, but this smells like. stacks of papers? And it definitely neutralizes the ammonia smell better after the litter is used.

They clump fine, might break into pieces when scooping but still big enough to be picked out. I’ve seen reviews saying tofu litter in general doesn’t deal well with poops, but I don’t find differences than clay litter in terms of odor locking, except that my cat won’t fully cover the poops with tofu litter as he would with the clay litter, but no big deal for me as I clean litter box quite often.

From my use on my long hair cat, the biggest advantage of tofu litter over the clay litter is they don’t stick onto his fluffy pants when he squats–after countless times struggling to clean the wet stinky clumps on his butt and legs, finally something! I think it is because the pellets are longer, they might be touching his fur but just won’t stick as easily.

The other advantage is the tracking problem. They still track outside of the litter box as agreed by other reviews, but way better than the clay litter. Again I think due to the longer pellet size, they won’t stick in between the paw hairs, and most of the loose litters get captured by the litter mat, and I can deal with the few ones on the floor and sweep them up.

Unlike the clay litter, which is less visible when scattered, and I’m also tired of feeling/stepping on the sand particles around any possible corners at home. Overall this is a positive first experience.

I read about tofu litter produces less dusts than other types so hopefully some long term good for my cat. They are also flushable if this will be a plus for anyone. Since our litter box isn’t set up around the toilet, I continue to use litter genie.

One thing I would suggest is to use a litter scoop with bigger holes for this litter, because my current scoop is meant for clay litter and it takes forever to sift the pellets. They are more expensive than clay litter, and I don’t know yet how long a bag can last, but I’m willing to try out for longer.

I was SUPER skeptical purchasing this since I have been through every cat litter you can imagine for low dust. My rag doll seems to have an allergy for everything. Yesterdays news came in tops for that, but what cat wants to stand on super large hard pellets that don’t clump or mask any kind of smell.

I’ve been using Worlds Best and yes the clumping is great but not clear on how they can advertise low dust and tracking when I am dust busting 8 million times a day and my cats paws are yellow and he’s sneezing while peeing.

Cautiously tried this, and I am REALLY impressed. Barely any tracking and NO dust. I didn’t believe the 3 second clumping thing, but it somehow clumps better than any litter I’ve ever used. I scoop it, nothing crumbles, and then dump it in the toilet.

I still use my litter genie for the poop for sanitation reasons, however, scooping is on point. I’m really glad chewys started to carry this. I’ve been hearing about it but it seemed to good to be true.

The colored litter is not scented as someone else might have mentioned, as I think it is just for aesthetics. I like the original bc it looks the most clean, but I also have Ocean fish which is a light blue.

I also don’t have an issue with the color transferring to their beds or carpet in their play room, and the carpet is cream so I definitely would’ve noticed ( same reviewer mentioned this). I’ve never had issues with smelly litter, but this does the job just as well as worlds best.

I definitely recommend this if you have been looking for a zero dust, low tracking, environmentally friendly litter.

I tried this litter completely on its own when I was fostering kittens, and I will say that this is NOT suitable for kittens that are under 5 weeks because the litter will clump to their legs and little paws.

I had to use warm water and a paper towel to get those off of them. After around 6 weeks, things got better, but I decided to mix this litter with some wood shredded litter and that has significantly helped the sticking.

It still stuck sometimes, but it was much, much better than before. This 50% mix of wood and 50% mix with tofu litter is also what I use for my cat, and it has significantly help reduce tracking (actually, there is no tracking with 50/50 mixture) and helped with odor control.

My past experience with *only* wood litter was that the wood would stink up and smell like, well, rotten wood, and it would track horrendously. By mixing this tofu litter in, not only has it reduced that smell, but the litter no longer tracks.

I was originally thinkin about converting to this litter 100%, but I’m actually pretty happy with the 50/50 mixture I have, so I will keep that. If you’re iffy about fully converting to this litter, I would say try a 50/50 mix with gradations in-between (first 25/75 then 50/50), then make a decision! I think this mix has been very beneficial since the past 8 months I’ve been using it.

I have multiple cats, and I ALSO have severe allergies and have a really heightened sense of smell. I have tried every litter out there, and found one I really liked, but it was discontinued, so the search was on for an affordable litter that was low dust and one that didn’t have a strong perfume smell.

I have always used the clumping litter, thinking it wouldn’t smell as bad, PLUS, it says on the bag that it’s “low dust”, but the smell was AWFUL, and dust would fill the air each time it was used, and made it hard for me to breathe, even when I was in another room.

I could ALWAYS tell when the litter box was being used by the dusty smell that covered the ENTIRE house. THEN, I tried Tidy cats SCENTED, NON clumping litter, and I LOVE it! I NEVER smell the litter box now, and dust doesn’t fill the air whenever my cats use the litter box, and even though it is “scented”, I don’t smell a perfume smell, and for someone with a REALLY powerful sense of smell, THAT is a blessing! And, it’s AFFORDABLE, which REALLY helps an old lady who lives on a budget, and having it shipped straight to me home keeps me from having to struggle with dragging those heavy bags home from the store.

I am a tidy cat fan all the way! I LOVE this product!.

Idk what they changed in the formula of this litter or i just got a defective bag but this litter was like sand no consistency to it and literally caked the whole litter box in 2 days. The ammonia smell from the cats urine was strong this masked nothing.

Ive been using this brand for 12 years never had an issue till now. Whatever i bought was most definitely not the quality not even close to the quality its always been. Was a complete waste of money.

Tried to contact purina because this cant be returned for a refund its obviously used now but this was totally unacceptable. I get better quality out of walmarts cheap cats pride or special kitty litter i swear.

This litter seems like they over grinded it or something idk something was clearly wrong. Still havent been able to get a purina rep so im likely at a loss and i purchased two bags but i will not be buying this again not after this mess.

I cant even scoop this litter its like mud. I broke one scooper even trying so just gonna pound it out into the trash and hose the boxes out.

After searching and paying through the nose for litter, who knew this would end up being the best my cats have ever used. We have had cats for over 25 years so this is a plus for us. One of our boys decided he wasn’t going to use what I was buying and went outside the box every day unless I had just emptied the crystal litter.

Ever since I started using this, he has used it instead of my floor. All I do is remove the poo and some urine. Add some more, and it does a great job of stopping bad smells. I do not like clumping litter.

It sticks to the paws of my hairy guy, Max. And I also don’t believe it is healthy for cats. Something else I’ve discovered is, it does not stick to the disposable pan or the regular one. It also keeps urine from soaking through.

This litter has afforded us to have two litter pans now. This is a little dusty, but it isn’t like another brand I bought. That stuff flew through the air dusting everything and our cats. For the price of less than $8 for 30 lbs.

, I am super happy to be saving money after spending over $70 a month, and it never was enough. Living on a low income, this stuff is a blessing. Oh, for you that thinks it’s too heavy to carry out, take some out in a small plastic grocery bag and then carry it out.

Our cats are happy. We are happy. What more could you ask for.

While I really like this litter, I have grown to really hate the overly nauseating perfumed scent of it. I am frustrated beyond belief that they can’t come up with a litter like this that’s not scented so strongly.

Some of us have to have these in areas where we frequent often. It’s just too much! However, I can’t seem to find a litter that is truly is dust free like this and has the least amount of tracking like this litter.

]The Platinum Slide litter is the first litter I’ve found that has made scooping so much easier! I have two cats and one pees like she’s two cats, so all other clump litters, would just adhere to the bottom of the litter boxes.

It was a grueling back-hurting task to scoop two litter boxes because I had to basically jackhammer the clumps with the scooper and the clumps were ridiculously heavy. Some litters, the clumps would fall apart making scooping much harder.

The clumps with this litter are nowhere nearly as heavy and does not break apart. I also see very little tracking of this litter in the house which is an even bigger bonus! I was getting so sick and tired, not to mentioned grossed out, at having to remove cat litter from my bed and furniture constantly.

I was having to sweep every single day as well. I still sweep, but I don’t have to do so nearly as often and I rarely see a grain of cat litter in my bed. The litter is sand-like so I’m guessing it doesn’t get trapped in their little toe beans.

That same cat that pees like two cats, also has the most gawd-awful poops I’ve ever had the displeasure of smelling, and despite all the other cat litters saying it had odor control, this one comes the closest.

Now, I really dislike the perfumed scent of this litter, and normally tried to stay away from litter that had that gross perfumed scent, but I swear it is a trade off I am now able to overlook because it actually does the job.

I’m thinking the cats also like the feel of this litter because they cover their turds completely (which helps to eliminate the stench). Lastly, this is the only litter that has been true about not creating a dust cloud when you pour it or scoop.

So, besides the perfumed smell, this litter is one of the best I’ve ever tried. I’ve tried many different litters, from crystals to pellets, to wheat, this one is so far the best one.

So I was having issues with my cats’ litter cementing to the bottom of their litter box, I had tried so many brands. They both like to dig deep to the bottom so it was such a pain to scoop and I could never truly keep the box clean.

I switched to the Arm and Hammer Slide Multi-cat litter. It’s designed to ‘slide’ right out of the box. It’s the most amazing litter I’ve ever used. Their litter box has never stayed cleaner. It’s more like the texture of sand, I think it’s more pleasant on their paws, and I think the sand consistency makes it harder for them to dig deep as long as I keep it deep enough.

It clumps so good. Occasionally they will pee right on the side of the box so the clump will stick to the side of the box, but just a gentle nudge with the scoop and it pops right off. I’ve also noticed they don’t track this litter as much although sometimes they go crazy digging and fling a bunch out of the box.

The directions say for best results start with a new litter box, which I did and it’s been really great. This litter has the least dust I have ever seen. I also like that it doesn’t have a super strong perfume scent like some litters, it’s just a light scent, but it’s really good at eliminating odors, I rarely notice any unpleasant odors.

To start off, I HATE clay litters, and was super reluctant to give any of them another chance. My ultra sensitive-paws senior male has been using strictly the A&H Naturals litter (I think it’s pine? Or corn?) for at least 6 years now, has refused all others and I don’t mind at all because it controls his odors very well.

But I’ve had a revolving door of litters in my house this year. out of desperation to get my newly adopted female to use her own box & stop pooping IN FRONT OF HIS (eye roll). LOW AND BEHOLD WE HAVE A WINNER.

It’s a finer grain, like the Naturals (but clay obviously), so it does track but honestly show me a litter that truly “doesn’t track” and I’ll show you a liar. Anyway, now my male even likes it enough to occasionally visit my female’s box.

I choose this one over Tidy Cats & Fresh Step because wet or cemented clay stuck to the box is something I cannot live with, and this actually lives up to the “slide” hype as long as you’re cleaning at least every few days or weekly.

Odor control is about the same as any other big brand (not quite as effective as A&H Naturals), and I still find myself dumping the whole box before the week is over. That said, would love to see a price drop on this one since I’m now buying so often.
