20 Best Trader Joe’S Bread (2022 Updated)

I never liked to be without a bag of these! A perfect combo of nutritious and sinful, they are the ultimate hiking snack! I prefer these to the unsalted, but I recently picked up the mini salted and am excited to see how those measure up.

These are a delicious snack. Perfect road food or snack to keep at your desk! They are also nice for serving at an informal get together. Kids and adults like them. Nice flavor and trustworthy ingredients at a decent price.

I really like the Trader Joe’s frozen falafel but they don’t always have them in stock so I love keeping this mix on hand. It’s so easy to use and so much quicker than making them totally from scratch yourself.

I’ve baked and fried them, both work, but I think lightly frying them is more flavorful. One box makes several meals for me so it’s a great budget friendly grocery item.

It’s hard to beat warm falafel, and this mix lets you make easily and quickly at home. I would recommend air frying it for the crispy exterior! You may need to bake a little longer than expected. They’re great on their own, dipped in tahini, or on top of a salad.

And of course always amazing in a pita!.

First of, the packaging is attractive to the eye, making you want to buy the product. The falafel itself is super easy to just throw in an air frier and have ready in 15 minutes! I love making pita pockets with it and some tsatziki dressing, and some fresh vegetables like cucumbers and carrots or as a lighter option for dinner on a salad.

So yummy and perfect for a quick meal or just when feeling lazy to cook:).

This is the last thing I will be writing before I end my life tonight. This bread is by far the worst pumpernickel bread I’ve ever had. The first thing I noticed after opening the package and holding a piece is that the bread is moist to the touch.

I took it off of my hand after holding it and my hand glistened from the immense moisture this bread exudes which is just an uncomfortable feeling on its own. Despite the bread being moist to the touch it is somewhat dry and chewy when you start to chew on it which makes it harder to swallow.

Lastly the taste. The feeling I felt after I tasted it is probably the same feeling the residents of Afghanistan felt when the taliban took over the country. My taste buds felt ATTACKED. When I was a child I didn’t grow up with much so one time In a pinch I had to eat cat food one night and this bread tastes A LOT like cat food.

The taste is almost sour and it’s easily the most disgusting bread I’ve ever tried. This ruined my last meal to the point I had to write this review before I passed away. If you are thinking of buying this bread I urge you DONT DO IT!!!Goodbye everyone.

I bought this product from Burlington coat factory unopened fresh and new. The product is the famous German three grain bread delba. My entire life I have never been allergic to any grain, seeds or flours.

however when I open this package and took a piece and ate it I had a very quick and sudden allergic reaction, as if I ate something I wasn’t supposed to. I am allergic to ALL tree nuts including pine nuts (almonds cashew walnut pecan hazelnut pistachio).

I don’t know what is going on but either the company is lying or maybe there has been a cross-contamination but fortunately I had to emergency drug myself with Benadryl so that I won’t have to go to the ER.

During quarantine, it’s nearly impossible here to get bread: the stores run out before your order is packed and delivered. So, in an effort to get good bread without leaving home, I ordered Feldman’s Whole Rye Bread here, based on reviews on other websites and a better price.

Today it arrived, extremely well packed, with an expiration date 17 months in the future (September 2021). I figured that, since it’s May 2020, I’ve got plenty of fresh bread for a long time. Too bad it’s not Feldman’s, and too bad it tastes and smells disgusting.

If you’re looking for delicious Rye Bread, look elsewhere. First of all, it doesn’t taste like Rye bread. Okay so it’s from Germany, and I guess they call it RYE because it’s made with rye flour. but it doesn’t have that caraway flavor that I expected.

In fact, it has a horrible SOUR taste, is dry and mealy, and it smells horrific. I read elsewhere that you shouldn’t eat it without toasting it and that toasting it changes the smell and taste. So I toasted it (though I’m not a fan of toasted bread), but the slices are extremely thin and long and do not fit in my toaster.

So I had to toast it SIDEWAYS,. TWICE, at each end. Still gross but less gross. THEN, I realize that this isn’t even Feldman’s: it’s Delba brand; online reviews are not as favorable as Feldman’s. So I have 12 16.

75 oz. packs of inedible (imo) bread. $37. 22 down the drain. Why anyone would review this as delicious must never have tried Beefsteak or any other fresh Jewish Rye bread offered in this country. For me, this is another example of not being so trusting of a small set of reviews, of being desperate enough to buy bread online, and to research fully before making such a large purchase of something that I’ve never tried before.

I would NOT recommend this product.

Compared to all other P-Farm breads this is tiny. The bread is sliced incredibly thin and the overall size is 33% smaller. This bread is what I’d assume you’d find in The Shire. It’s taste great but for the price, not worth it.

Unsure if it was always like this or this is shrinkflation at play.

I adore this bread. It’s only 45 calories per slice, first of all, and they aren’t super thin like those sandwich thins (which are good too). Granted, they aren’t super thick and hearty slices, but they’re great for making a sandwich or toast.

Personally, bread doesn’t fill me up very much, but I do like the taste. However, because I still get hungry after eating bread (and it’s pretty high calorie), I’ll avoid making sandwiches for lunch.

Not anymore! This bread is phenomenal. I love having toast again in my life, and it’s great to fire up the panini maker at work and use this on my sandwiches. Taste = amazing. Nutritional value = amazing.

Buy it. Seriously.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I use it almost every day for sandwiches! I used to use whole wheat bread but figured this was a great way to cut calories and still enjoy the sandwich. After that I never went back!

I love Trader Joes, but sadly, I cannot recommend this stuffing. Why? 1. Way too moist. It offers a choice of more water for moist stuffing or less for dry. Despite using the amount for dry stuffing, I ended up with a bowl very moist, almost mushy stuffing.

2. There is hardly any flavor. A flavor packet is included and I also added sautéed chopped onions and celery. Still, though, there is hardly any flavor. I added additional sage, thyme, etc but even with that, it’s still quite tasteless.

3. It’s too salty. I agree with another reviewer who said that this is quite salty.

Made this for Thanksgiving and it was actually pretty good. It had a nice flavor and was easy to make. The only thing I didn’t like was some of the spices/seasoning were a little big and didn’t moisten enough.

I would still buy again though.

I. Am. ADDICTED to this stuff!!! It’s only available right around the holidays, and I genuinely stock up with like 10 boxes to last me a while afterwards. So easy and delicious, you just boil water on the stove and pour everything in.

Makes an excellent side dish to most meals.

I’ll be honest. If this bread was in a blind taste test, I doubt many people would buy it. It tastes okay, earthy from the whole grains and legumes. but it’s extremely dry. I buy this bread because it makes me feel better.

Its somehow calming and filling more than other breads and gives me more energy. It’s like I can feel the healthiness. I feel kinda crummy when I go back to other brands now. But wow is it dry. Super dry.

Extremely dry. It’s actually scratched my throat several times. It’s a convenient complete protein source and makes me feel great, but be warned it’s definitely a health food.

We have not been diagnosed with celiac disease or being gluten-intolerable but we do notice we feel bloated and with inflammation when we eat too much gluten. My naturopathic doctor suggested I try it since most gluten-free options don’t taste like much but I was surprised with this one.

I get filled up with just one piece and my tummy is not upset when I eat it. I actually have to hunt down this bread because sometimes it’s out of stock at our local grocers. I love it!.

Walmart carrying a bread that won’t cause me an allergic reaction (to table sugars) is very much appreciated. I’m disappointed it’s the only brand on the market. They know it, too, since it’s over double the cost of other brands.

The “other guys” have ingredients I don’t want in my body. Walmart: Please carry more breads without added processed sugars, milk, egg, preservatives, etc. in them.

Got this just to try it in my Vitamin dry blender. I sprouted, dehydrated and then ground. Made into bread going by the recipe online and it was fabulous. I probably didn’t let it rise enough so it came out kind of like a flat bread but it was great tasting- very earthy tasting.

Will make again!.

I absolutely LOVE this grain. The graininess and flavour are just super. My husband and youngest son love it too! The bread has a unique flavour that just “feels healthy”. I bought the 5 pound can, but would like to invest in a larger amount.

Okay some people like eating healthy bread and some people like eating regular bread so if I’m going to eat an organic healthy bread I’m allowed to mix in some goodies with it correct? This is a quick recipe easy to make.

Okay here we go you can either make homemade mashed potatoes or box mashed potatoes you get some hamburger meat salt and pepper season it. A can of gravy. You put two pieces of bread or three on a plate and then you top that with mashed potatoes spread throughout over the bread on top and you add your seasoned hamburger meat on top of the potatoes with the mashed potatoes you can add like a with your spoon make like a little fenced area on the outside so the hamburger meat sits inside there and then you add gravy over it doesn’t cost much and it tastes very yummy.

If you are looking for a healthy and tasty bread – this bread is for you! The ingredients are clean without any fillers unlike other conventional bread. It’s s certified organic bread and it is produced without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.

Every bite offers a sweet taste and hearty texture and with a seed-coated crust. My daily go-to would be either turkey pepper jack sandwich or peanut butter sandwich. This is the best bread in the universe in my honest opinion.

I wanted to like this bread. The loaf we got came unsliced (which isn’t a huge deal, but surprising based on the photos). It also got moldy very quickly (within 5-6 days or purchase. We live in a dry climate so I was surprised.

Overall, the bread itself (before going moldy) was good.

My family loves this bread. Compared to other brands, it’s more economical. It stays fresher longer, even though it doesn’t last long in my household. We buy at least 3 double packs from BJs every other week.

Recently, the loaf bread is just a loaaf bread. My family has bought it for several years,and it was the only loaf bread we ate all of, because of the flavor and fresh softness. For the last 3 or so months, it is apparently stale before it gets to the store.

This week, first day home, once again, tough and overcooked. I don’t want to be negative bcs of covid issues, but the quality has been stale and overcooked for a while. I just bought a loaf, it is tough and flavorless again.

We are returning the loaf, but not replacing it bcs of staleness issues fir srveral months.

I love this bread and so do my kids but it has a really short shelf life. I bought two packs of these and I didn’t realize the expiration date was in three days! Yikes! I gave a couple away because we cannot eat four loaves in 3 days.

I cannot put bread in the fridge because it just doesn’t taste the same.

Normally I really like this bread but something has happened in the last few months with the freshness and softness. That’s the main reason I switched to Nature’s Own. Hopefully whatever the change is won’t last.

It is delicious and I have already turn all of my friends and my husband on this super yummy bread! My favorite way to eat it is toasted with some butter or pepper jelly!.

I ordered this bread because of the hype. They company touts it as the best bread in the universe. It costs $5. 98 a loaf. To be honest, it is really, really good bread. But is it really $5. 98 a loaf good? Not really.

I have tried other breads similar to it and they were really, really good too. My issue with this bread and other brands similar to it, are the costs of organic products. I really want to eat only organic, but I can’t afford to spend $24 month at one loaf weekly to keep this in my pantry.

I can buy a store brand organic and save myself $12 a month. I want to give this product 5 stars, but there are 5. 98 reasons I can’t do that. Try it once so you can experience it, then buy a store brand after that because that is the sensible thing to do.

Dave’s killer bread really is that good. It’s the perfect sandwich bread and is a healthier choice by adding the super grains into ones diet. It tastes very good and is often found in bargain grocery stores if you look.

Sometimes you have to be the first in line after they’ve stocked the shelves with it. This Dave’s killer bread has become a staple in many homes. It is well worth the asking price too. It freezes well and is great for toast or sandwiches.

This is the BEST white bread you can buy!!! It is so delicious and such an excellent healthy bread choice! The loaves are still soft and nice and white bread tasting which I have not been able to find other organic breads like that! This is all I use and my grocery store is constantly selling out of it so I’m not the only one who thinks it’s amazing bread! The loaves are smaller than regular loaves of bread but the size of each slice of bread is really nice and big.

The only downfall of this bread is the price. I pay over 5 dollars for a loaf of bread. It sounds crazy buy try it. Once you try daves no other bread will do! Also there is a really nice story behind the bread its on each bag.

Dave is a reformed criminal and they give jobs to people getting out of jail so buying the bread is also like doing a good deed!.

I’ve eaten this bread for a few years now. This is the healthiest bread you can eat. Simple natural ingredients, whole rye kernels, water, whole rye meal flour, salt, oat fibre, and yeast. That’s it! It also is high fiber.

It’s best toasted and makes great open-face sandwiches. Regular sandwiches are a little unwieldy unless it’s just meat and cheese. Condiments or other toppings will likely slip out and make a mess, that’s why open-faced is best.

When I say its best toasted I mean you probably won’t like it if you don’t. Most people that buy this bread have had it before, but if you haven’t it’s called “Vollkornbrot” which is a dense chewy German rye bread.

It normally has a long, long shelf life. The case I received had almost a year. It’s a great bread for preppers. Slice open the pack but keep the leftover bread in the plastic wrapper. Once you open a pack put the rest (wrapper and bread) in a plastic storage container and refrigerate.

It will easily keep for a month. It comes in the manufacturer packaging cardboard box, and the box will likely take a beating from shipping, but have no fear, the bread inside will probably be fine. If you aren’t eating this healthy bread currently you should consider adding it to your diet.

I have had a medical problem with wheat my entire life, but I unapologetically love avocado toast (it’s my joy). This bread (or the straight rye), lightly toasted, is absolute heaven when combined with the creaminess of the avocado, a squeeze of lime, a dusting of pink salt and a shake of toasted sesame seeds.

If avocado toast isn’t your thing, these breads are also delightful with nut or seed butter and some Crofter’s Raspberry Just Fruit spread. This is my self care.

I love Mestemacher Organic Rye Bread for its wholesome ingredients and delicious taste. It has organic whole grains, plenty of fiber and a slight tanginess that I like. It is also very filling. I eat it daily at either breakfast or lunch.

Texas Toast is great for BLTs! And French Toast! Very delicious. Love It! Can’t say enough abt it. Just be sure the delivery person doesn’t put the bag of potatoes on it. Lol. OMGoodness.

French toast is served!!! Perfectly sliced and thickness for an easy and kid approved breakfast. I love grabbing a loaf or two before heading out to the lake. In my area we have few options but Wonder bread has not let my family down yet.

I purchased this bread on a whim because I had previously seen so many people buying it when I worked part time @ ShopRite, and also when I did some contract work for a personal shopping service. I began using it for the purpose of making french toast, and I must say that I was very pleased with the outcome! Both my son, and I loved it.

My French toast was in tact, and made to perfection!. The kicker is, I don’t really care for anything I have to eat syrup with but this bread did not disappoint! I will definitely keep some on hand going forward!.

These were thick slices of bread with an ultra pillowy soft texture. It’s by far my favorite bread to use for my sandwiches and French toast. Even though it’s soft, it doesn’t break apart easily when spreading jam, cream cheese, or even peanut butter and I was able to flip it with ease on a pan when making french toast.

It reminds me of Japanese milk bread, with a hint of sweetness to it but it also has a buttery-tasting crust. This loaf is fresh for about 2 weeks and I leave my bread in the fridge. It goes for $3. 49 a bag and has a least 14 servings depending on what the slices are used for.

Overall, love it and I have restocked my fridge with this since I started buying this.

I grew up with this. Shake it, hear the pits, don’t bite there. In total, I’ve ordered 4 bags. 2 bags were brittle, the other 2, not so. Definitely would buy again. I was surprised at how many there are in a pound bag! Yum Yum.
