20 Best Trading Card Sleeves (2022 Updated)

Nothing to say that hasn’t been mentioned in the past. Quality has always been on point. I’ve been using ultra pro sleeves since the early 90’s. From sports to anything collectible trading cards. No discoloration noted as they aged has ever been a problem.

I’ve used other brand which hasn’t held up after a period of time. Definitely recommend using these if you’re starting as a new collector or storing.

These are the real deal soft plastic sleeves / card protectors. The plastic is clear with an ideal transparent appeal for when you slip a card into one it actually improves the overall look of the card.

Once you slip your cards into these sleeves you’re able to handle, organize and browse through your cards without fear of damaging or smugging with fingerprints keeping them in prestine condition. More importantly, these sleeves are perfectly sized so that you can EASILY slip your sleeved cards into a top loader hard plastic protector casing if you wish to up the protection level on more valuable cards.

The only downside – or really its something you have to watch out for with ANY type card protector – is you have to be really careful when putting your card into the sleeve. Because they are so well sized (not OVER sized) relative to the cards dimensions that you can damage the cards corder and edges if you try to rush or force a card into a sleeve.

Take your time and be gentle during the entire process and I am confident that you will be totally satisfied with this item as a means to protect your card collection investment.

The Ultra Pro Sleeves are a great deal. I’m mostly into card games, like Pathfinder and Apocrypha, which require hundreds of sleeves per game. With Ultra Pro Sleeves I do not have to remove sleeves when I rotate games.

They are not as snug as custom Sleeves, but work great especially for the price.

I normal love this product. But they must have had a bad day at the plant. Some loaders where not put together. But I messaged them. Back and they took really good care of me. I’m glad they’re still good people! In this world.

I would use this product again. Just because they took really good care of me.

Bought 100 toploaders. Of the first 10 pulled, 1 had a spot of glue 1/2 inch inside the toploader & could not be opened all the way. Another was only partially sealed on the bottom. One was undersized inside & wouldnt take a standard sports card.

Four had some kind of oily residue inside & most had residue outside. One was so scratched up they looked used. Only 2 of 10 were useable right out of the box. Havent even tried to examine the rest.

I’ll start with saying I love the art of these sleeves, they’re durable thus far and aren’t too slick. My issue with these sleeves is that so far two that I’ve found seem to have a line of white through the art, looking almost like a scratch yet the sleeve is undamaged.

With my order I received exactly 100, so I couldn’t easily trade out the marked looking ones.

I have these sleeves already. It has great hand comfort for shuffling, even its not matte its has a firm slide. I must say, you will see your card like opaque when you put it on this sleeve.

These sleeves look awesome and protect my cards, but have a sticky shuffle feel to them. I generally prefer Dragon Shields for their ease of shuffling, but these designs looked too cool to pass up!

These are my favorite toploaders on the market and are very high end. No dust, clear, high quality. Will keep buying these to provide my customers with the best possible experience! 10/10 stars

I like to have toploaders in a variety of sizes. I needed 55pt but those were out of stock, so I grabbed some of these. Theres a bit of sliding so you might like to add a silver of cardboard. But im also waiting to find out what types of cards these are best suited for.

Bought over 250 toploaders that had various cuts, dust, lint and tiny punctures throughout. Half were unusable which means I essentially payed double for the ones that were good. Expected getting these directly from the manufacturer would be different, but third party was somehow better.

I have used Ultra Pro binder sheets, card, and ball holders for many years. I was looking for a product to protect sports cards that did not discolor them over the years due to to chemical migration, Ultra Pro filled that need.

Very pleased with the clarity of the ball holders after years of display.

Sleeves are missing Ultra Pro stamp on the bottom of sleeves. They’re an older model with a grey-ish interior. Older model that I no longer believe is in print was a dark interior with the Ultra Pro stamp.

Be aware if you’re trying to match sleeves. Quality is still good, just not sure if they’re actually the same brand.

These are usually pretty great. Though my last pack had 10 sleeves with false bottoms. If I had to grade those it be pretty awful but it’s the first its ever happened so I still say 4 stars.

What a cool product! Many years ago when I was playing MTG on a daily basis I always used Ultra-Pro deck protectors for all my decks, and cringed whenever playing against someone who was playing their cards ‘commando’.

not sure if black, red or clear were the only options but all my decks were in one or the other. Feeling nostalgic recently I decided to rebuild one of my favorite decks, and before I bought a single card I knew I had to get some sleeves, already deciding on red for my new burn deck.

Wow what a surprise to see how many options there are now, and these original card backs are the best IMHO. same great quality I’ve always trusted but now with killer artwork for the back. just wish they still came in a box that would double as a deck holder once the sleeves were filled.

Great sleeves they fit yugioh cards well. Shuffle feels clean and nice. No catching no tearing. passes stretch test. Spreads and fans well. No complaints. Expect reduced glare on your cards and reduced shine on your cards.

If you want really rare cards to shine get the gloss sleeves instead. I will say I think its neat at certain angles your card can shine and the monster that doesn’t shine appears like a silhouette. One of the best sleeves you can get in the world.

The back is a bit glossier and the pattern is a bit different. Instead of just many random dots its really close dots tightly arranged in channels. The back has a bit more grip but I don’t think its noticeable in shuffling.

Both are mat sleeves but I bought this one because I was curious. The difference between the two is not something I can capture with my weak lights, but it is there if you compare them close enough in person.

I put these more expensive ones on the right side and the more affordable ones on the left. I wouldn’t buy these in this color since they have the other sleeve type in the same color. They are almost identical but maybe people might prefer the back pattern on these idk.

I only don’t recommend because the other sleeves exist in this color. If they do go out of stock or the price becomes more comparable I might reevaluate buying these sleeves in this color.

The sleeves are nice and sturdy. I really like this color, and the sleeves shuffle very smoothly (as all the reviews of them that I read/watched said they do). The trade-off is the slightly cloudy front of the sleeve.

I do find the cloudiness noticeable (though it is slight), and so I think I may go with glossy sleeves in the future because I think I’m willing to accept slightly less smooth shuffling in return for the best possible view of the card art.

Still, these are very good sleeves, and if you care about shuffle feel more than card art, then choose these over the glossy version.

Ultra PRO Eclipse Matte sleeves are sturdy and shuffle very nicely. The Ultra PRO inner sleeves fit perfectly inside. I double sleeve all of my Magic decks and though the extra bulk makes the decks stand tall, I can be sure that the combination of Ultra PRO’s Eclipse and inners will adequately protect my cards even when they topple off the table or if something is spilled.

My only complaint is that the clear face of the sleeves are also matte, and that makes viewing cards a little more difficult (and blocks the sheen of foils).

So I’ve ordered about 6000 of these sleeves overall, and have been using mosty the single matte versions for cubes and constructed decks. These sleeves are the same quality as the matte versions, with a simple difference, the front has a matte finish instead of a gloss finish.

So, with these sleeves, you get a tradeoff: you get an amazing shuffle feel with about 30% less resistance then the single matte sleeves, at the cost of having a *slightly* cloudy front. Since the front is matte textures, the visual is just *ever* so slightly cloudier than the normal matte sleeve variants on this website.

In all honesty, if you are playing any deck that requires a lot of shuffling, I would absolutely recommend these over the other version, the easier shuffle feel is worth it. I would definitely use these sleeves during a tournament, or any deck that runs brainstorm or fetchlands.

Excellent sleeves at an excellent price, you can’t go wrong with whatever sleeves you choose.

I have been using these sleeves for years. I build custom magic the gathering cubes and these sleeves have the best cost & quality balance for my needs. They are not quite as durable as dragon shields but for the money you will be hard pressed to find better sleeves.

Order vame promptly when ordered. Annoyed that more of the 50 card sleeve packs contained 48-49 sleeves rather than 50 (1 time it was 51 sleeves). Recommend buying an extra 50 sleeves to make sure if you want 1000 or 2000 sleeves.

Ultra Pro Dividers – best on the market. The height of the dividers are tall enough to use labels or write with Sharpie. Strong and good thickness. Highly recommend them.

They speak for themselves. UltraPro makes good stuff. These dividers are nice because they’re grippy enough to write with Sharpie or affix a label. Good buy.

I have had tons of compliments on these. I print mailing labels and put them at the top and then put the dividers in a top loader so they are readable above the cards. They still fit inside the box lids.

The sleeves are easy to shuffle as they have some “slide” to them. I find most sleeves with prints on them don’t slide very well but these are perfect for that. The art is very crisp, no blurring or offsets in the pictures, always a plus.

I can’t comment on durability as I’ve not put them to extended use but I suspect they won’t split like some others sometimes do (some printed sleeves split between the print/backing from the clear cover while shuffling).

Looks cute but would not buy at full price personally. It does function perfectly as a card sleeve.

These Ultra Pro semi rigid card holders work very well. They hold and display baseball cards nicely and securely. I like that you don’t have to worry about the card falling out of the holder like I have sometimes noticed happens with the rigid top loader card holders.

I have read some bad reviews about these semi rigid card holders (like it’s too difficult to get the cards in without damaging them). I have inserted hundreds of baseball cards (with and without using penny sleeves) into these Ultra Pro semi rigid card holders and have not damaged any of the cards.

Just be patient and carefully slide your baseball cards into the semi rigid card holder. Once the cards are in these Ultra Pro semi rigid card holders then you can enjoy thumbing through your treasured baseball cards without worrying about them getting damaged.

Another nice thing about these Ultra Pro semi rigid card holders is that they are thinner and take up less space than the rigid top loaders. As long as you don’t “step on” or “spill your drink” on your treasured baseball cards while they are in the Ultra Pro semi rigid card holders then your treasured baseball cards will last almost forever.
