20 Best Trainers For Hiit (2022 Updated)

I have been wearing Superrep for several years now and always keep several pairs in rotation. These sneakers are exactly what I need – comfort- cushioning and creative colors!! I box, do HIIT classes and run.

The cushioning component is critical to me and these sneakers deliver! I tried on many other sneakers that are specifically for just running but retuned all of them because nothing compares to this sneaker.

I have tried in the new model but I have to say prefer this generation. These went right into my “inventory “of Superreps in my closet. The fit of this color is exact- I’m a 9 and these are perfect (the black ones run smaller).

I’ve been wearing Nike air max since their inception ( I do miss the airmax 720) so I know what works best for me- these are a 10 star sneaker!.

The description of this shoe is spot on! This is great for HIIT, strength training, & even the elliptical machine. Also, I am able to keep a solid balance when I deadlift! I would not recommend this for the treadmill at all.

I knew to go up a 1/2 size because I have a pair of Zoom Gravity. I feel the Zoom collection is designed to “cradle or mold” to your feet to give you the best workout because the Gravity is great for the treadmill.

The lemon color looks good with almost anything & the shoe does not look big at all. Please pass on this shoe if you’re not into HIIT or strength training. This shoe is not made for running and being at Disney World all day.

It is meant to do what it’s made for HIIT class.

I have owned all types and styles of training shoes across all major brands. I owned a pair of Reeboks in the past and loved them. I found these shoes and after wearing them for several lifts/workouts, I don’t think ill ever go discount store/brand again.

You get what you pay for and with these Nano X1’s, they did not disappoint. They felt extremely stable, the break in period was quick and seamless and they look great. I wouldn’t recommend these as a “cross trainer” shoe, maybe very short distance runs at best, but if you’re looking for a competitive, stylish and top notch weight lifting shoe, I’d highly recommend them.

**Only downside was the back of the shoe, by your achillies tendon, is very stiff and will rub and may cause redness or a blister. I wouldn’t wear low fitting ankle socks with these especially when they’re brand new.

If you stick with a higher sock, like crew length, you won’t notice it. **.

These are my second pair of Nano X1’s. They were on sale so I bought them as my “next” pair. Anyway I mistakenly ordered a 6. 5. I wear a 10. Long story short, I returned they provided. No questions, no comments.

Rogue fitness came through. Oh, the shoes are great too.

I bought this for the gym, to do various training. They are comfortable and light, good support and padding on insole, does not feel cheap. They look clean & sharp on my bigger foot.

Well I wore mizuno wave runners for running over 5 years and I ended up recently shifting to a lighter running shoe so when I saw this lightweight option for training with minimalist colors I had to try it.

First off I love love the look and feel-I probably baby my white shoes too much. The fact thectge Part near your Achilles means back and in no way can blister you is awesome and I wish the running shoes did this.

This sneaker is great for lifting. The shoe is flat with slight heel and sturdy for weights. I did find it challenging to do mixed workouts like HIIT training as it’s not really great for jumping or running {most trainers aren’t} but for a weight day these are my new favorite.

The built in tongue is super comfy and really hugs your foot. The loop on top helps get the shoe easily on and off. Very comfy shoe and again the look is really sleek and i like it a lot.

I use the shoe for weights, kickboxing, boxing, and HIIT workouts. Love that it’s lightweight and low to the ground ha running shoes, and the minimal treads make it easy to pivot (necessary for kickboxing and boxing).

For those with higher arches like me, the interior is flatter vs any Mizuno running shoes I’ve owned. While I could add an after market arch support / insole, that would defeat the purpose of the COB tech in the sole, so heads for those who really prefer or need arch support – these probably aren’t the best option for you.

I wanted to give these guys a couple of hard workouts before reviewing. First, I love the look of the shoe, the crisp white is perfect for me. The shoe has a snug fit but I wear lightweight socks so it’s fine and when I am jumping a lot from side to side I like that they don’t slide.

I like the impact; I do a lot of vertical jumping too so I want to feel balanced when I land but also have some shock absorption. My only confusing part is the insole (because their isn’t one) so it’s either sewn in because they feel comfortable on the bottom of the foot or I’m just supposed to insert one and I don’t even know.

Definitely recommend for HIIT type workouts as well as weight training for the flat even sole of the shoe.

Bought these multi-colored Reeboks for doing T25 and Insanity. They are very stable and there is no slipping on hard flooring. Most of my exercise sneakers are size 7. 5 (which is what I ordered), but I could have gone with the size 7 instead.

The toe box is a bit larger than I would like. kinda baggy if that makes sense, but not a deal breaker. Perhaps the size 7 would have been better. These shoes also provide a “warm up” before your actual work out as they are tough to get on.

I have high arches, so that doesn’t help, but these bad boys take some serious effort to get my feet in. I am contemplating making 2 small cuts to separate the sock liner thing from the tongue. Once on, they are comfortable and supportive.

I have worn them for a few work outs, so I will be keeping them, but do they really need to be this difficult to put on??? Yikes.

I purchased these shoes for kickboxing and cardio classes. They are very well-made, provide significant arch support for hard-hitting workouts and are true to size. They are remarkably scuff resistant which is a wonderful bonus and I appreciate the soft breathable top layer of the shoe.

One of the best benefits this shoe has to offer is strong ankle stability, key for quick side to side lateral movements during cross training. I have always found Reebok tennis shoes to be superior when it comes to daily workouts.

I was looking for a training sneaker but didn’t want to spend the money on those super expensive exercising/weight training sneakers just yet. My foot seems really supported in the heal for weight training.

There is an inner “sock” to the sneaker though and there is no tongue to pull and tighten when you tie your sneakers. I’m not a huge fan of that because i feel like the pulling the tongue and tightening the laces gives for better foot support.

But overall i like the sneaker.

This shoe is a dream come true! I have been through 4-5 different pairs of shoes trying to find a shoe that was for cardio, dance, plyometrics, hiit, and plain old dumbell exercises. I needed a shoe that was not a running shoe but was also not made for lifting as are most cross fit and training shoes.

People, there are not many shoes for us! If you are a gym class junkie like me this shoe is for you! Everything is for running, HEAVY weight lifting etc. This shoe is perfect, It has a 9mm htt drop (i checked this with reebok because the information was available no where and it matters, my old shoes that worked ok were nike flex experience and an 8 mm htt drop but they had no tread, they were minimal type funning shoes and not made for this purpose), the are super comfortable, super cute, and jumping jack, burpee, tuck jump, mountain climber and dance approved.

It will let you jump around and dance around to your hearts content but will also keep your feet planted on the floor for squats and lunges. The grip on the bottom is great. There is some cushioning but not too much, It is just enough.

I have had a lot of trouble with shoes that are fine everywhere except for the forefoot(which made my feet cramp and ruined my workout and my day and my spirit) and these are perfect. They have enough cushioning under the forefoot to support high intensity moves like high knees etc but its not too much and not too little.

They are also flexible enough to do what you need to do in them. I am usually a size 9, I ordered an 8. 5 and they fit perfectly. I dont really have small feet, my toes are long and my foot isnt very dainty.

The sockliner is comfortable and not obtrusive at all which I worried about. The insole seems to be removable. They shipped and arrived very fast (I ordered with VIP though). I hope this helps someone that has struggled as I have!.

but I didn’t. The colors are perfect and go with so many things! The reviews were (mostly) good. Wanted a more stable shoe for HIIT, plyo, and weight lifting. They were a little short fitting, but not so much that it was a deal breaker.

The bed is pretty stiff – not very comfy. But I expected that in a stability shoe. After several minutes of wearing them, the whole front half of both feet were numb – well, except for the pain on the under/outside of my feet! My knees hurt during lunges with these, though.

So, they went back! Definitely not the shoe for me.

I purchased these to replace an older pair of Reebok Nano Grace shoes that are well worn and well loved. Unfortunately, these have a much narrower toe box compared to her old Nano Grace shoes. Additionally, the shoe seems to run on the small side.

I ended up returning the shoes.

Great fit either you have slim or wide feet. Comfortable. Sole isn’t that flexible, but trainers are pretty comfortable (I bought this item a few months ago and they are still the same). They adapt to numerous different range motion very well, as they have a pretty stable base.

Perfect for HIIT as it is advertised.

Guys. I have been searching high and low for the perfect workout shoe. I do mostly HIIT/cardio and weight resistance training in my living room at home and have cycled through several different pairs of trainers, all of which made my feet ache by the end of the workout.

I decided to give these Reeboks a try after reading a few helpful reviews. After three different workouts, I’ve decided I’m in love. I highly recommend these shoes if you’ve had issues with pain in your feet during workouts.

These shoes are just awful. I own 4 pairs of Nikes and have owned several more over the years, all of which have fit perfectly at 7. 5. These shoes however are super snug, definitely half size up because the sole padding is out of control.

On top of that though, the shoe is VERY stiff even after 5+ wears. It sliced my heel in the place ballet flats would on wear #3 so definitely use thick socks if you decide to purchase. I wouldn’t recommend these shoes to anyone.

They are “designed for HIIT” but you really can’t use them for anything but groceries/errands bc they hurt so much, are way too tight, and are incredibly HEAVY. The style is cute and I like the unique design but if I hadn’t purchased these on final sale I would have returned on delivery.

The shoes look great and go with about anything. I got the gray pair and love them. They fit true to size and the only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the sole inside the shoe can be uncomfortable at times, especially if you’re standing in one place for a long time.

Overall a good quality shoe with great looks>.

Wasn’t sure what I wanted when I bought these shoes. I was walking by the clearance rack when I noticed them. I liked the color and overall design of this shoe. After I broke them in they are pretty comfortable.

Great product as usual. Been an Academy fan forever.

I was looking for the most cushioned shoe you can get. This is it. You can feel the squish right away. That comes with stability tradeoffs but if you don’t want a high stack shoe with squish, you have plenty of other choices.

So kuddos to Nike for taking cushion to the max. Given that this is the most max cushioned shoe available, my only gripe is it doesn’t take it far enough. Why not just go extreme in setting the bar? When you run in these, as opposed to walking, I wouldn’t say you feel like running on clouds or marshmallows–you still have a jolt of a foot strike and “bounce” (which I find overrated as I don’t see the point of bounce when I initially strike as opposed to energy release as I push off my foot to spring me forward).

So I guess I’m just complaining that they are a functional running shoe that offers “responsiveness”. They are as close as you can find to “moon shoes” but not really there. I’d ask Nike to just take it further.

It will be too much for many, but why not offer something just off the charts in terms of softness tailored for heel strike walking. Like if I wanted to reduce the impact on my knees and hips and even neck and head from walking or running — akin to running on a springy treadmill or rubberized track — give me an option to prevent that wear and tear.

This is the best on the market but still I think the technology is there to make it even softer, squishier, more “deflation” at the strike. Like a spring that collapses on strike and releases when you push off I suppose.

Bottom line: these are great cushion but not insane. (these fit like all Nike running shoes–run 1 size larger than Brannock).

I’ve been eyeing this shoe for about a year, especially the volt colorway and when I went to the employee store and saw them sitting, it was a no brainer. Previously I have been running with the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 for about a year and have finally beat them up quite a bit.

The first few runs I hated how plushy it was, definitely something to get used to at first. However, after maybe 20 miles running with the shoes I finally began to love them. They’re amazing for long runs and the plush helps tremendously, and the energy return with every stride is one of the best things about shoe.

Some cons about the shoe is that some of the rubber on the soles is starting to wear off after 65 miles with them but not enough to say that is have been affecting my runs. Also the laces are too short, which makes me not being able to tie them fully.

Luckily my size 9 fits just right and holds me in place with a little toe room in the front while still maintaining me stable on the heel. Overall, this is an amazing shoe. I would highly recommend it for anyone that would want to progress into NIke’s high tier running shoes if you’re coming from the middle tier.

Soft and bouncy are two words that best summarize my experience in the Invincible run. I find this shoe to be perfect for my easier runs, averaging anywhere between 8min/mile and 9min/mile. I do not feel this shoe is a good option for faster running (intervals, for example) given the softness and large midsole volume.

I find myself consistently running about 15 seconds/mile faster than my effort suggests. Legs and joints feel well protected the entire time. I am a big fan of the Infinity Run (another great daily trainer), and feel the grip on the Invincible is noticeably better on slick surfaces.

In my experience, this shoe definitely rewards a mid-foot striker and good running form. There is a noticeable “sweet spot” where the shoe seems to be providing the most rebound. Outside for this zone, the softness is still there, but the rebound seems significantly reduced.

Overall, this is a unique shoe in the best possible way. I would not want it as my only shoe, but when combined with other shoes like the Pegasus and Vaporfly, I think it makes a really nice addition to a running shoe inventory.

I literally never leave reviews on products, but I loved these shoes sooo much after wearing only ONE time that I had to. I have been working out in old, beat up shoes that I’ve had for years, and recently decided it was time to get some new ones.

I do a lot of HIIT circuit training as well as moderate weight lifting, so I wanted something light but with a lot of good heel support (especially for squats). These shoes are amazing. They are exactly what I was looking for.

They are SO comfy, definitely the most comfy Nike shoes I’ve ever bought (and trust me, this is the only brand I ever buy athletic shoes from). They are lightweight, but have a sturdy heel. I did squats, lunges, split jumps, etc.

and had plenty of support. They also had a flexible bend to them for doing planks and mountain climbers. I cannot say enough good things about this shoe. 10/10! After wearing them for literally one workout I immediately thought these were the best shoes I’ve ever purchased from Nike.

I usually wear 10, but I got a 10. 5 in these based on other reviews, and they are perfect. I will definitely be buying another pair if they come out with new colors.

Love these shoes. The TRs are my favorite Nikes to wear. I bought them in black & white and also a pair in grey. One pair for just casual everyday wear and another is perfect for a workout session. Comfortable, looks good on feet, and seems durable so far.

Been wearing one pair for a few months and holding up great. These fit true to size for me and a perfect fit, but my foot is narrow.

I have shoes for lifting. The Metcon 4 is the best shoe for strength training Ive ever owned. I own 4 pairs. You’ll never feel more planted in a squat or DL than with the Metcon 4. I also have a running shoe, the Pegasus 35.

So much cushioning, but its a running shoe so didnt expect any less. Great shoe for running. This shoe folks–is functional for BOTH. Now that I am working out from home, running is an excuse for me to get out and get some outside time.

I run up to 3 miles in these shoes and they are comfortable for me. I am right over 200lbs, and after 3 miles, this shoes dont create any kind of discomfort in the knees, hips or other typical areas you feel discomfort after running.

With lifting, I also feel secure and planted, not as much as the Metcon 4 but still, the point is this is a great cross trainer. You can run/job (though not sure about long distances) and you can do your strength training and feel good in this shoe.

As I wear a size 12, when I find good shoes I buy them up. These are great shoes. Cant recommend them enough.

I bought two pairs of these trainers and have worn both pairs over the past couple of weeks. One pair rubbed my little toes initially, while the other pair were comfortable straight off. However, one of that latter pair has now developed an annoying and embarrassing squeak.

So good shoes, generally comfortable, but will be better if I can get rid of the squeaking.

I come from a competitor brand that have always been comfortable to me but wanted to give Nikes a shot again. These are even more comfortable than my Nike zoom shoes. Cushion and support is great. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and this will really help with days where I need to be on my feet for longer periods of time.

I can’t talk about wear and tear, but comfort is outstanding and they look sharp too.

Bought my first pair of these trainers and within a day or 2 the rim around the edges went all white and squeak of them was just awful!!! Brought them back to the shop and with a fight, I got them exchanged for another pair the same and within the week of wearing them the squeak started again!!! Totally disappointed!!!! Was always a Nike fan but this has put off from buying Nike trainers again!.

I was worried that the split sole would make shoe unstable rest assured you will stick your landings every time! No matter what direction you are jumping, leaping or lunging. These shoes make me feel like I could do jump squats all day long and my up’s is insane! I have worn shoes every day for hour long work outs for 2 weeks and I am still excited to pull them on every morning.

Highly recommend. I did size up per the other reviews and they fit perfect.

I do love the support of this shoe for HIIT, however, NIKE needs to increase the toe box. My feet cramp in these shoes! We need to be able to spread our toes for balance and support. These shoes are EXPENSIVE!.

This was a great 3 pc baby set with onesie, hat & booties in white with the black NIKE logo. My grandson is just fitting into it & it is so cute & looks comfy. It washed well and will be able to transition with a little pair of pants.

Loved the white color (instead of always dark) and I will be getting more of these as he gets older. Great product.

Love the idea this is a boxed set. It is so cute. The material is fairly thick and seems to be well made. The snaps work well and are not hard to snap at all. It washed up well. It does seem to run a little small compared to my grandsons others that are the same size.

I would suggest ordering a size up.

These are my new favorite shoes. They have a nice amount of room in the toe box, and have the perfect amount of support. I have high arches that feel completely supported in these shoes, quite different from my normal trainers.

There is enough support to keep my knees from collapsing during squats, but not too much to make more dynamic lifts mushy (think thrusters). I have only used the mid insole, and find for regular CrossFit style workouts and heavy lifting, they are perfect.

I feel very connected to the floor with deadlifts, which surprised me with the nice amount of cushion. Read the reviews about people sizing up, but they fit me perfectly after one wear. (They were a little tight when I first put them on but they quickly loosened up.

) I need to get more ;).

I use to be all in for Reebok Nanos but their last two models have been terrible. I purchased Nobulls and was even more disappointed. They had zero arch support and my feet were always aching when I wore them.

I decided to branch out and try a shoe that wasn’t as widely known. I am extremely pleased with the Hylete shoe. It is the best training shoe I have ever worn. Very comfortable in the toe box and just the right cushioning in just the right place.

The three different inserts are brilliant! I love being able to quickly switch out the insert to match the WOD. You will not regret buying these shoes! I love Hylete merchandise and have been telling all my CrossFit friends about them.

Runs small so size up a minimum of a half size. The bottom is fairly stiff so these are great for stationary exercises where you want balance and stability. I wouldn’t recommend for cardio – but then again maybe if I had the right size, it wouldn’t my feet as bad.

I have high arches and have been using the middle insole. I do boot camps so my exercises include wide range motion and activity. I don’t love these shoes for long walks. These are good shoes, just not my favorite for the kind of activities I do most often.

I love the look of these trainers, and don’t have any major complaints. However, they are a bit more uncomfortable than I would have hoped. I no longer reach for them when I’m leaving to run some errands, because my feet do hurt after a couple of hours.

I now mainly use them for the gym, when I know I won’t be moving my feet much.

After searching for trainers to suit both weight training & cardio, the search is finally over! Great grounding for squats, deadlifts & hip thrusts BUT also comfy enough for cardio on the stairmaster & treadmill.

Highly recommend!.
