20 Best Trainers For Women (2022 Updated)

As an aggressive Power Walker that incorporates step-ups, squats, lunges and calf-raises into my outdoor workout, finding shoes that supports my pace and leg exercises has been challenging. These do that and then some.

They are very comfortable and as someone who suffers from shin splints, provide great support while giving me the correct balance for the leg exercises. Love these so much that I’m planning to purchase another pair.

If you need fast walking/jogging/running support while having the ability to do leg workouts, these are the shoes!.

These are my favorite training shoes! I would prefer to train without shoes BUT when I need shoes I love these. I’ve had the metcons (new and old) and so many others and these are by far my favorite.

Really comfortable, stable, and last a long time! I use them mostly for kettlebell work, lifting, and some slight cross training although I wouldn’t recommend them as a running shoe.

If you’ve ordered New Balance shoes before, these will be true to size. If this is your first pair of New Balance, they run a half size small. I wear a 6. 5 normally, but in New Balance shoes I always wear a size 7.

I’ve purchased three different styles/pairs of New Balance Shoes this year, and with all of them I got a size 7, and they were perfect. That being said, these shoes are only cute casual shoes. To me they have a relaxed fit that wouldn’t work for anything physical.

Definitely not a running, walking, or “on your feet all day” shoe. They are just cute, not functional. They are comfortable but offer no real support, arch or cushion. I still totally love them because I had zero expectations and just wanted a pair of casual athetlic shoes.

Shoes for the person that wants you to think that they might exercise, but they don’t. They are made cheap and will not last, so make sure you get a good deal. If you pull too hard on the loop to put them on, they will make an unpleasant sound, alerting you that they will rip.

The laces will not make the shoes tighter, but they will make the tongue bunch up. And last but not least, the heel is not comfortable against your skin without ankle socks. I would not recommend no show socks with these.

Not happy. New Balance should know this material is not right for footwear. I have been wearing these for 2-3 weeks, comfortable, yes, but two problems: 1. working out they easily slip off the heels doing certain exercises like down dog, mountain climbers or plank jacks.

Mostly unhappy with how dirty the get. The light material is not protected. After washing them in the machine the insoles came out, they are sticky and hard to put back. Shoes did not come clean after washing.

I am not a mechanic working in grease! I go to the gym and water plants in yard. DSW won’t take them back after wearing them. The shoes are USELESS to me now. Tortise and Hare lets you return worn shoes up to 60 days if not happy for any reason.

If this company does not protect customers from defective products then I won’t shop there anymore.

I love these sneakers!! I wear a 9 in almost every shoe I buy (and I’m an avid new balance wearer) but in these I found I needed half a size larger to compensate for my wide feet. I just bought my second pair after about a year w the first ones.

They’re very comfortable but also really cute and fashionable!! I will warn you, the first one, maybe two times you wear them they may rub the back of the Achilles! My first pair did on both heels and I almost returned them when I realized that.

But I wore them out of the house to give it a chance and after two days they broke in and it was never an issue again. Now with the new pair I recently bought only the left side rubbed and it was only for the first day I wore them.

If they’re still selling this shoe when I need a new pair again next year I will certainly repurchase a third pair!.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I was looking for something I could use for Orangetheory, where I would run 1. 5-2. 5 miles, four times a week, in addition to rowing and mild strength training. Working out intensely, stomping on these shoes with all-outs, it led to intense shin splints (which I’ve never had before) and bruising on my heal.

The shoe feels like concrete once you lift the super thin sole insert up. There was absolutely no cushion to soften my stride, nor arch support. The other downfall with this shoe is that it has absolutely no breathability so if you live in a hot climate like I do it will feel wildly uncomfortable.

When I added a much needed sole insert, it added even more heat insulation, and it felt like I was running with plastic bags wrapped around my feet. It was then I knew I needed to return the shoe. I’m just so thankful to rei for having such a stellar return policy.

I’ve been wearing my On Cloud running shoes for a few weeks now and believe I’ve logged enough miles to give a pretty fair review of them. Aesthetically I love them and they’ll probably become my go to travel sneakers.

The slick black style can easily go from workout to casual wear and very much like that. Immediately I noticed that they are not as cushioned as my traditional running shoes which I normally wear a Brooks or Asic.

On Cloud does makes a more cushioned version but it’s not this pair. I prefer low socks or no socks and even after being broken in I find that they still rub the back of my ankles not to the point of blisters or bleeding but noticeable irritation.

I’ve caught two rocks in the unique sole design. I’ve seen review were people complain a lot about getting rocks stuck. I don’t think it’s extremely common but it will happen. They’re a well made shoe and I look forward to continuing to wear the pair I’ve purchased, however, for the price I guess I was expecting a bit more.

This is my second pair. I notice On was phasing this specific style out, so I went ahead and bought a backup pair. I have massive feet pain from years of wearing heels and running marathons and for a while, after a hairline fracture, I thought I’d never run again.

Every shoe hurt, even brands I’d run in before: Saucony, Brooks, whatever. Normal sneakers hurt me too, just walking around/shopping/etc. On the recommendation of a friend, I actually bought the first pair just to walk around on a 2 week trip in Europe, and I couldn’t believe how unbelievably light they were.

They weight almost nothing and after they gave me zero pain during the Europe trip, I decided to try to run in them and lo and behold, no pain. I tried other models of Cloud running shoes, and these were the most comfortable for me.

These shoes are perfect for what I needed. I do lots of HIIT and running workouts as while as strength training and LISS. These shoes work for all of those! I love the color and style, and my foot feels stable and secure in the shoe! However, there was some glue right where the Nike logo met the base and some other glue spots on the black box near the arch.

This was slightly disappointing but the pros outweighed the cons of going through a tedious return process over something so small. Overall I was happy with this product and Nike has again delivered the quality that they promise.

First I’ll say that the look and style is on point. I LOVE the look of these Nikes. They’re comfortable – although I don’t feel like the sole has any flexibility- more like a flatform. However. The shoes are MUCH heavier than the running Nikes I wear.

I don’t wear socks often so for the Nikes I wear for casual, I buy a 9. 5 for perfect fit. If they’re too workout or walk in, I’ll buy a 10 for the extra room for socks. I bought a 9. 5 in these, and when I put them on even with socks, they’re slipping on my heels when I walk.

I probably could’ve got a 9 but then they may have been too tight. So for fit, these just don’t do it for me. I’m still second guessing if they’re a keeper or not. I’d def have to always wear socks (blah) but they’re so stylish it may be a price willing to pay…even with a small slip with my steps.

So, on a recent trip to NYC, I decided to wear my Birkenstocks for a day of walking around and let me tell you, that was a huge mistake. Luckily, I was near the Nordstrom Rack in Union Square and basically excitedly limped to the sneakers section in search of a comfortable pair of shoes.

That’s when I found this pair of Nike Air Max in all white. They ended up becoming the shoe I wore the most in NYC and withstood miles of walking! Like another reviewer said, they do feel a bit narrow.

I was going to size up, but decided to stick to my true size (7). I don’t mind the snug fit and now when I look at them, I just think of how they saved me in NYC!.

This shoe is very comfortable and offers a great deal of support as well. I usually have to buy a size 9 wide in most brands. This shoe did not come in wide width in the store, but still fit very well.

Other shoes are too narrow for my feet and give me sores on my pinky toe. I compared this shoe side by side to my Filas that are wide width and they are very similar. I really like them. It’s hard to find running shoes these days that are not made of mesh or thin cloth! I am also 30 years old and feel like this is a design that can be pulled off at any age.

These are sneakers. I guess that about says it all. I feel like wearing slippers in them. Warm and comfortable, that’s what I’m feeling. Thanks to the hidden heel, the sneakers themselves look smaller than usual.

Of course, these shoes are not suitable for sports. This is a definite lifestyle for everyday wear. Thanks to the bright white color, they catch the eye, thanks to animalistic inserts and shiny designs.

They are comfortable and beautiful. On my first day at work, almost all my colleagues complimented me. I definitely recommend you to buy it.

I purchased the Allie Stride sneakers for a trip I will be going on in Sept. I have been wanting a pair of MK sneakers for awhile now. I have boots & sandals from MK all size 8. 5 so of course I ordered 8.

5 in the sneakers and unfortunately they are tight and smash my toes in the front and instant blister in the back. They are very narrow in the front. I would recommend anyone getting these go a half size bigger.

Love this sneaker but now I have to figure out if I can exchange them for a bigger size.

I love the Georgie Trainer so much that I have 8 pairs in varied colors and textures. These sneakers dress up all outfits; they look great with jeans, leggings, athleisure wear and dresses! They run true to size; I normally wear a 9.

5W or a 10 in most sandals, heels and sneakers and these fit perfectly in a size 10. They are comfortable for all-day wear even when that includes a lot of standing and walking.

Bought these as new gym shoes. The shoe itself is really comfy, supporting in the right places and does what I need. The problem is they have the sizes as “AU” size, which for my whole life has always been equivalent to US sizing.

So an AU size 12 would be US12/UK11. But these are UK12/US13 so a size larger. I’m lucky that my feet are just big enough and I can tie the laces tight enough that I can use them. But you should be aware of this when choosing your shoes.

I just got these in and one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. They have the perfect cushion all around for your foot from the tongue to the sides and the bottom of your soles so you have all day comfort.

And they have arch support. I have high arches and I wear size 9 and these were perfect.

Bought as a gift for my husband who wanted a pair of gym trainers. Nice colour and style. Only downside was the box was really tatty. Wouldn’t mind if was for myself but as a gift would of preferred better condition.

Not worth the hassle of returning tho.

These shoes look and feel fantastic…at first. The issue is the tongue of these shoes. For some reason, it gouges into the tops of your feet making them nearly unbearable! I don’t understand how something can be designed so poorly.

It sucks when you pay a premium for Nike and get something nearly impossible to wear. Very disappointed! I have multiple pairs of Nike sneakers and have never had this issue.

These are really cute but I was spoiled with the trainer 7’s. Those didn’t hurt my feet. I thought if I bought a similar pair for work/long hours on my feet they would hold up. I can already tell a terrible difference in how my feet feel after a few weeks of wearing them.

I have been getting plantar fasciitis type feeling in my heels and I haven’t had that since I was pregnant. The top of the shoe feels good except the heels feel kinda flimsy when you use your finger(s) to slip them on.

I’m not sure if that’s where the problem is? Maybe I could get some insoles but I was really hoping they’d be fashionable AND serve a purpose. If I wanted my feet to hurt I’ll get my heels on and walk around downtown Ft.

Worth or Dallas.

You can’t tell in the images, but the tongue of the shoe sticks out a lot. It also gets uncomfortable for me when wearing for more than a few hours at a time. It creates a pressure point on the top of my foot without the laces being tight.

I usually wear 8. 5, had some room in these. During my workouts these are great, I strength train 5x a week and they give awesome support and balance. Unfortunately, cant use them else where.

I like how they are good for both low intensity cardio and weight training. They also kill the casual daily looks eg mini dress with white sneakers. They’re slightly elevated so if you’re short af like myself, don’t worry they don’t ruin your torso/leg ratio.

My only two complaints are these shoes don’t have good grip, so it’s a bit slippery walking on rainy days or on the kitchen floor; they could be a bit stuffy if you wear them for a long time.

Amazing shoe!! I use this shoe for my gym work outs and I can already tell a great difference in my performance. The shoe provides amazing support and grip. The shoes are super light which is another plus when working out.

I purchased these trainers after doing a lot of research. I feel they did not give me the support I required for the gym. Unable to return either as I have worn them the once. I slipped wearing them at the gym, luckily i didnt hurt myself, plus the size came up slighly bigger.

I Will invest in some Asics instead.

These shoes are very comfortable and fit great. I have another pair of slip on shoes from a different maker and while they also function great, I’ve been less than satisfied with their durability as I’m on my second pair because the soles simply wore out.

This other shoe is $40 more than the Skechers, and I’ve only had the new pair for about a month so I cannot speak to durability. I wear these shoes every day, as I did with the other brand, and I put in a lot of steps daily.

I am hopeful that these shoes are more durable. I originally bought the other shoes as I was going to have lumbar fusion surgery and later that same year a replacement of a shoulder. I needed a pair of shoes that I could slip on, it not then feel loose or fall off.

This approach works great so now I’m too lazy to wear my other shoes that you have to tie, and these have become my daily go to shoe, especially as I’m retired.

I’ve run about sixty miles of trails in the GoRun Razor Trail. I want to love these shoes; however, there are just too many minor and not-so-minor issues. The biggest issue I have is with the lugs. They are fairly grippy, but they are thin, so thin that on many surfaces-even packed earth-the shoe “wiggles” on the relatively tall lugs.

That wiggle gives a sense of insecurity on rock, pavement, and even hard trail, not something that is comforting in a trail shoe. In addition, the space between the lugs is needless smooth. Perhaps a coarse texture would help.

Strangely, the lugs in Sketchers Speed Trl shoe released a couple of years back are great. but also thicker and, thus, stable. In addition, the Speed TRL has a little less of that smooth surface between the lugs.

Other issues: the Speed Trl had fantastic lockdown, with the mid-foot tight and secure (I liked the burrito tongue), and the heel-lock system that really did keep the foot in the shoe (as well as some thoughtful touches like the neoprene collar to keep pine needles, dirt, and pebbles out of the shoe).

Sadly, the best of the Trl didn’t carry over to the Razor Trail, however. The Razor Trail feels like there’s an extra quarter or half inch added to the toe length, yet it could benefit from a little width for the toes.

That said, the shoes are generally comfortable, and the Hyperburst cushioning has bounce and offers protection; although, it does lack a rock plate. Still, the midsole isn’t enough to rescue the shoe.

The Razor Trail doesn’t offer enough stability in this iteration for technical trails. Thickening the Goodyear lugs will go a long way to improving confidence in the shoe, as would carrying over some of the excellent lockdown features of Skechers’ Speed Trl.

Also, not to harp on the comparison of the two shoes too much, but the Trl upper drains fast. The Razor Trail stays wet a good deal further down the trail. Overall, I think the Razor Trail is a fine first draft, but I expect better stability and lockdown in the next version.

The Hyperburst is a fun addition to a trail shoe (there wasn’t enough of it in the Speed Trl), but it might overwhelm the rest of this shoe.

I love walking and I also work outdoors and find Skechers to be the comfiest trainers to wear. I have had quite a few different styles over the years, but I think these are my favourites to date. I like the shape and style on these.

On first trying, I thought that they may be a little too big. I bought a size 5 as I always do in Skechers trainers even though my shoe size is 4. 5. These felt quite roomy compared to other Skechers I have had, however, I have found them to be really comfy and have a better sole than previous ones.

I could probably go for a size 4. 5 if I choose to buy a pair to wear without socks. I bought the grey, which didn’t disappoint. I may order another colour as well.

If you are buying for fitness look elsewhere. The only reason I am not returning is because I bought them for looks not working out. There Is absolutely no comparison of quality between these and ballistic trainers.

I foresee the leather eyelets ripping out. The very bottom eyelet is just rubber that is stretching. I got an 11 in both and they are extremely close this one may be a tiny bit shorter and wider in the toe box area.

Will be the last pair of Reeboks I’d buy without seeing them, seems like they are running on a name but I have been disappointed in both pairs I have bought of theirs. Soles are cheap looking with holes that let the white and black show through on bottom.

Premium price, not premium shoe. Just my opinion I’m not gonna put them through any sort of torture test. Love the way they look though.

This is hands down the best version of the Nano they’ve had in quite some time. Super comfortable and versatile. I use it during regular lifting sessions, cross training, and even just for the occasional walk.

Only two things I would rate negatively on these shoes. The first, the laces are too short (if you lace through all the openings, which I do), and the second being the lace loops fray easily. They haven’t torn or anything yet and I’ve been using them daily since June.

I took notice more recently as I’ve been using the rower more and the strap on the footrest definitely plays a factor in that as well. But otherwise, great shoe.

Just ordered my first pair of Nano X2s for all around HIIT, CrossFit, and weight workouts. They look good and seem well made, unfortunately they are HUGE. I wear, and ordered, a 9. 5. There is so much extra room in the toe and heel, it feels like I’m wearing 11s.

Went to Reebok’s website to see what they had to say and found this statement, “Runs large. Based on returns, we recommend you size down. (If you usually wear size 7, order 6. 5). ” My bad for not doing more research, but for those of you considering these shoes please take notice before ordering.

I saw someone wearing these gold & coral trainers and trawled the internet to find them and I’m glad I did! They are SO comfortable, great for casual, great for workouts! The only downside is that you have to size up.

I read all the reviews which said as much so I bought a size 7 instead of my usual size 6 and they are perfect. I’ve only given it 3 stars because of the odd sizing. But I bought a 2nd pair because I know I probably won’t find these again in the gold and coral colours!.

I have never gone wrong with Nike. Tried Sketchers not good, and had a difficult time finding old school tennis ones that are not the light mesh material. These I found and with Nike I have always been able to buy the size and it fits perfect even with out trying them on first.

No other brand of tennis shoe fits and wears as good as Nike !!!.

I wear these shoes everyday at school and when shopping. I love how they fit my narrow feet and the colors are absolutely stunning. They are very comfortable.

I normally wear size 7.5/8 (EU 41) and ordered size 8 but it was huge!! Sent back and got a size smaller that fit perfectly. Soft light and v. comfy. Nice design.

Really nice quality and a cool design but they’re super narrow! My little toes had no space at all so had to send them back. Shame because they look cool!

Love the show, great style, very comfortable. However, back loop on one show broke the first time I put them on to wear. Not what I expect from Tom Ford construction.

So I knew this was a perfect gift I heard these sneakers are so comfortable and stylish at the same time. I got theses for my fiancé and he is happy. But I think I will get a pair for myself I only had to go up a bit on size.

So Instead of 10. 5 I had to get an 11. But it worked out.

This shoe is amazing! Absolutely, hands down, the most comfortable golf shoe I’ve ever worn. And I’ve been through a few pairs! Out of the box, on my feet, to the course. Brought a back up pair of golf shoes since I hadn’t broken them in.

No need for that! And then, since they are labeled as a “cross trainer”, I put them on for my Bootcamp work out. Again, perfection. Can’t say enough great things about this shoe!.

Be sure to order a half size up, they run short and the toe beds are narrow. I had to cut down the insoles of my first pair after one round. These shoes are good for walking the golf course and very well made and super cute.

I now have two pair in different colors, the second pair ordered a half size up. Order quickly as all items sell out almost immediately. Customer service is excellent and orders are received on time.

I bought these based on recommendations from other women about how comfortable these are. However I suffer from some painful foot problems and these were not any more helpful that less expensive shoes I’ve work in the past.

And now I own a very expensive pair of golf shoes that don’t help me. I am so sick of all these shoe ads that claim comfort, stability and happy feet. Don’t believe the hype.

I love the look of the Veja Campo sneakers and have been wanting them in white with black for awhile so after reading tons of reviews I finally ordered them. I have an average to narrow foot and wear a size 7 in most shoes so I ordered the size 37 and 38 since I was not sure what size would fit me best.

I ended up keeping the 37/6. Although the 37 felt a tad small the 38 was definitely too big. Unfortunately they don’t make half sizes because a 37. 5 would’ve been perfect but once I wore them around for a day they actually feel perfectly fine and are very comfortable.

No issues with the tongue either, I found it to be very soft so I do think they have changed it since older reviews complained it was stiff and uncomfortable. I do always wear thin footies which I think helps especially if the sneakers feel a bit small since footies hold your foot so it doesn’t spread out as much if that makes sense, I noticed the shoes felt better and roomier with thin footies than without.

I would recommend sizing down especially if you are a half size. Veja Campo are great looking sneakers, I highly recommend!.

I was so torn between the campo vs. The esplar and when I saw them in person, the decision was obvious. Lined up beside each other, The campo looks like a warmer white color with some texture to it rather than cool white that is super smooth.

It just feels/looks better quality overall and they shape is preferable for me at least. The only issue is that the sizing is sliiiiightly off with them not having half sizes. I sized down from my half size and that was better than going up but it’s still just ever so slightly too small anf im hoping it will stretch out that little bit.

Overall these are classic beautiful shoes and comfortable right away, I haven’t had any issues with the tongue or heel as some people mentioned in reviews that I previously read. I would order two pairs and return one if you’re not sure – that’s what I did to compare sizing and I’m glad I did.

Return process was super straightforward and worth it.

I had high hopes for these shoes. Taking them out of the box they are soooo cute and stylish. I love the look and the Velcro gives them a unique je ne sais quoi. Unfortunately the fit was so weird and awful.

I’m a size 6. 5 and so as recommended ordered the half size down which is a 37 or US size 6 (since these shoes don’t come in half sizing). My toes didn’t quiiiiite reach the front of the shoe and when I walked my heel would slip out of the shoe.

In short the shoes were a but big. Not so much that I couldn’t wear them but with looseness was enough that it felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately the next size down was a 36 (which is equivalent to a U.

S. size 5!). I crossed my fingers and decided to give the 36 a shot. As I feared the shoe was way too small. My toes were basically crunched up at the front. Weirdly enough, my heel was STILL slipping out of the shoe when I walked.

There’s something about the design of the shoe, maybe it’s too wide in the back (?) that it just doesn’t fit narrow feet like mine. They’re going bad. Too bad- they’re super cute!.

My son plays or trains for basketball domestic and rep 6 days a week. Other premium brand shoes give him craps in the bottoms of his feet. He has several pairs of shoes on the go at once due to sweaty feet and not drying before the next session.

Curry flo shoes are definitely his favourite and do not cramp his feet. He loves them. Only issue we have had is a size difference from the flo 8’s to his new flo 9’s with online order. Went in store and got the right size.

I bought these 6 mos ago and love them. I have several pairs of both Nike metcons and nano’s and inov8 and while they are good shoes, I prefer the reign 4. I use them for CrossFit workouts. I have a wide foot with an extremely high arch so finding the right fit and support is difficult.

I prefer these because they have stability in the heel cup and ankle area, and my orthotics fit comfortably. I will definitely be buying another pair.

These are my third under armour spouse but my first purpose made for CrossFit. As with all my other UA shoes they are very well made & comfortable, that’s why I am a reaper customer. Have used these now for the last 4 CrossFit sessions and I have no complaints.

Gets me through my workouts with comfort. Can’t wait to see they perform on the rope climbs though.
