20 Best Truck Gun Safe (2022 Updated)

This safe complements my SentrySafe biometric house safe. I like it for portability in my vehicles. However I would have given it 5 stars overall if I could purchase another cable so I could leave one in each of my vehicles.

This would make it more convenient to move between vehicles.

The key lock feature is important for vehicles because batteries are too unreliable, give the heat cars can sit in all day. I’d like to see a smaller version that gives more vehicle stowability options and continues to feature a cable tether.

Larger portable home safes should also offer the cable tether feature.

I purchased this safe to transport my handguns to the range. Living in Communist Kalifoania, one does not want to be caught with a handgun in their car that is not secured, and within one’s reach. Not only is the weapon being transported out of my reach (at the farthest point possible, but visible through the rear window), but it is locked in the safe.

The key to the safe is on my key ring, which is in the ignition. I use the safe to carry the weapon into the range.

About 3 years ago my not yet 21 grandson asked if he could keep his handgun, a Glock M19, at home with him. The home scenario consists of his mom (her occasional boyfriend), his 5 year old sister, and an adult sister and her boyfriend.

He does have a long gun safe I got him but it’s not the quickest thing to get into in an emergency situation so I looked into various handgun safes and decided on the American Security PS1210HD. The two primary deciding factors were (A) It has a Simplex push button lock mechanism rather than a battery operated lock mechanism.

Experience has taught me that if anything battery operated, flashlights, radios, locks, is going to fail it will happen at exactly the moment you need it to work the most. (B) Unlike the rest of the safes I checked out the AS lock mechanism has an interior steel box around it so while the mechanism can still be destroyed with a hammer and punch it can’t be knocked out of place so the lock bar stays in place even if the mechanism is smashed.

Dean Safe just happened to have a discounted returned safe in stock. A guy bought it with the intention of using to carry a handgun in but since this thing weighs close to 25lbs he decided it wasn’t a practical option.

Lucky me! It does have mounting holes in the back so it can be fastened to a floor or wall but he wanted to keep it on his night stand so I bought a 15’X15mm stainless steel double loop cable that he has looped around his steel bed frame and fastened to the safe’s handle with a keyed padlock.

The handle swivel pins are peened into place so it’s pretty secure but I’ve been considering mounting a hardened steel ring bolt to it as a fastening point. At first it took the grandson about 30 seconds while looking at the buttons to enter his combination but now he can get into it in the dark in a few seconds.

All in all I consider it money well spent.

Excellent product. The protected lock mechanism was it’s main selling point for me. I got it for my grandson because he lives in a household with small children and other non shooters. It easily holds both of his full size handguns though he only keeps his Ruger P89 in it along with an extra magazine and a small flashlight.

His other firearms are all kept in a larger safe. This allows him quick and easy access to his pistol in case of an emergency while securely denying access to the children and other people in the household.

I will definitely recommend this friends and fellow shooters.

I wanted an in-SUV box that I felt would discourage at least most thieves if I had to leave my handgun in the vehicle to enter a non-permissive environment. Yes, hidden, but still more security than what a light box and small cable offered.

The AMSEC HD Safe is all that, especially after I combined it with a length of hardened chain anchored to the SUV and shackled to the box. Very happy with the construction, and the no-battery, no-key-required lock.

And Dean’s service and delivery were great.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis safe arrived to me very well packaged. It was easy to configure. The key is a little sloppy in the lock – you have to press the dial into the “closed” position all the way while you turn the key.

Easy to configure the password. My only caveat is that at $400 you would think it could come with the 4 AA batteries it requires for the combo lock to work. It has handles on the side which prevented it from sliding to where I wanted in my trunk.

I will end up grinding off the pop rivets off to get it to slide in. This is not a problem with the product, more an issue of my small trunk. The pistons operate smoothly and open most of the way on their own once unlocked.

The keypad has good haptic feedback in that you can feel and hear the buttons when you press them. This safe has two precut foam inserts as well as a soft black pad with Hornady/Snapsafe branding on it.

The cable seems well made, is easy to secure with a nut through a hole in the bottom of the safe.

IšverstiShow in original languageAs always, Sportsman guide best place to buy as they deliver as advertised. Safe is great – I expect a long use from the safe. There are some flaws; handles rattle but that is cured by softeners.

No way provided to bolt thru the safe into vehicle body – probably because of liability. I found the security cable not usable in my case. Strong, simple, well made safe.

IšverstiShow in original languageRock solid! I just had an AR-15, a PDW, and a Pistol, as well as associated mags in it yesterday. All that weapons were secured nicely. Have added a couple of magnets to keep pistols from sliding around.

Also found a great strip of LED lights to go in it. Fits in my Cherokee perfectly, up against the back seats. With tinting you can’t even see itl.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleI own two of these for my guns. I find with rare use, the batteries die pretty quick on the lock box so its kind of a useless fingerprint reader. When the batteries are fresh the reader is great, but its one of those things you need to keep up with.

I just use the key method since I keep my guns locked up with a cable through the slide and barrel. Im less worried about home defense, and more about someone else getting their hands on my guns. All in all, they keep the guns hidden and well protected.

Theres a good amount of foam inside the case, and its sturdy and would take a good amount of force to break open without a key otherwise. It keeps my guns protected and concealed which is why I give it 4 stars, where 1 star off for less reliability from the fingerprint reader.

Sturdy box, buttons/digital entry are functioning correctly but feel a little flimsy, I would not be surprised if they failed after some time of heavy use but the key function works well too so it should be fine no matter what.

Perfect for an extra safety piece or for the truck/travel. Not as nice as some ive seen but for the price it can’t be beat.

When first arrived I tried handguns to see which would fit. My S&W 40 Shield fit no problem. My Springfield XD with 4″ barrel would not fit nor my S&W SD40VE with 4″ barrel UNTIL I removed the cheap plastic insert, that is not glued in, which pops out easily.

I replaced that and glued in rubberized kitchen drawer lining as an insert to protect the handgun finish and from bumps. As I’ve found with most things purchased from Sportsman’s Guide over the years, the good product price will require some after-market doctoring.

Also, the cable that’s included is not not the one shown in the picture; it’s flimsy, cheap, and has only one loop not the two as shown.

works great under the seat of my tahoe but don’t know how/where I could mount it in a vehicle. took a little bit to figure out a place to store with a metal pole to attach the safety loop. My tahoe does not have a standard metal pole in the vehicle, most cars have metal rods not poles now.

Seems pretty sturdy. I have a Ruger 22 handgun, which fits easily inside with room to spare for magazines, but a larger handgun might not fit. The safe locks and unlocks easily from the lockbox and feels secure when locked.

I have not tried mounting it yet.

The cylindrical key and lock are slow to engage and open this safe, so this is not designed for rapid retrieval of one’s handgun. There are other biometric safes designed for that purpose. This First Alert 5100K is also TSA approved for use in transporting your firearm in your checked luggage.

A good value for the ~ $30 price.

For example, I was able cut thinner and make “wells” that accommodated a Springfield Mdl 2 sub-compact 45ACP pistol with an extended magazine AND 2 additional magazines (1 regular, 1 extended).

Very nice fit after these slight modifications. Outstanding product and great value.

I needed a gun/valuables safe and after comparison I settled on this Sports Afield as having the fire resistance and lock security that I was looking for. I also wanted to have internal power for dampness control which it has.

It is heavy enough that I am placing it in the garage instead of the house. I am very happy with the safe and all it’s features and shelving as it holds everything I wanted to protect.

Very happy with this safe. I’ve only had it for a few weeks but the size is perfect for me and I liked the idea of fireproof and waterproof. Delivery was quicker than expected and they were able to deliver from the street into my garage.

Another review mentioned that there is a strong smell coming from the safe once you open it the first time. I can confirm that. It is like a strong glue and manufacturing smell. I was fortunate enough that I could leave this in my garage opened for about a week to get rid of the smell before getting movers to come by and bring it up onto my 3rd floor.

Perfect size and great set up with lots of options on the inside for configuration. The alarm on mine keeps going off, but I was able to disable so not a problem going forward. I did not fix mine to the floor so I had to flex seal the holes on the bottom of the safe to waterproof.

This was an easy fix.

I bought this safe with (in store pick up ) Ok sounds good it was a great deal and I wanted one for years. I NOW realize why they want to charge $300 for shipping. Upon calling about the item for pick up.

I asked the height of the box laying down ( I estimated 10 inches more than the specs) They could not provide me with a size. Second I asked when the pick up time would be best because It just snowed here on my scheduled pick up time and I will not drive my truck in a snow storm with a 500 lb safe in the back (secured).

I then asked since it was I. S. P who would help load. She said no one. After being dumbfounded a moment I said so no one will help me bring it to my truck. She says per new policy and injuries we upped the delivery charges and do not help people bring items outside or into vehicles.

Cool so my 5’7″ 155 lb self will go ahead and toss the thing onto my shoulders and load it in my truck. Not happening. So now I am stuck with no help from them other than clicking a button that the item was sold and picked up.

AS OPPOSED TO. SAMS CLUB loads it in, Home Depot Loads it in, Lowes loads it in and what do you know. so does Cabela’s and Dick’s so why is BJ’s even selling safes?? It’s ok BJ’s I am going to get a few friends and load it into my truck and bring it home.

I would rather pay them in beers and $50 each just to load and unload it with me. then to EVER pay your $300 delivery charge or deal with that much laziness. I’m over it and will cancel my membership as I’ve had quite a bit of troubles dealing with BJS them selves.

Enjoy the 3 stars because the Safe is awesome but knock two off for the bad guys.

I brought this safe a couple of weeks ago and so far I’m happy with the purchase. It fits my needs. I have rifles on one side and ammo on the other. Definitely won’t fit 18 guns. I can fit 3 AR style guns on one side, maybe 4 if I just shove them in.

The optics and pistol grips take up most of the room. Total 8 then with space on top and bottom for ammo. I have space on bottom since I use one of the shelves to elevate the rifles because the AR’s are shorter.

Door has 3 pockets for handguns. Tamper detection is pretty sensitive. I’ve set it off by closing the door to the closet the safe is in. Cons, like I said, won’t fit 18 guns, but that’s pretty standard with gun safes.

Last con is there are only 2 spots to mount the safe to the floor and they are located at the same depth in the safe. So, the safe will still rock slightly even when mounted. Don’t know if this will give enough leverage to rip the safe out of the concrete foundation.

If there’s only going to be 2 spots to mount the safe, they should be offset.

I was looking for a safe that could hold at least 8 long guns and the standard 12 and 14 gun safes were not big enough. This safe will easily hold 10 long guns with optics along with other smaller items such as documents and jewelry on the top shelf.

The safe is heavy. I have seen the weight of this safe advertised by various vendors in the range of 350 to 450lbs. It is heavy, but with help you can move it. For those interested, here is how I moved it from store to basement.

Need at least two people to load the safe in a vehicle big enough i. e. SUV or pickup. Takes a least two people to unload the safe from the vehicle. We unloaded the safe in our garage. Once out and standing straight up, open the door 90 degrees and remove it.

Just lift up and carefully set aside. Take the steel pins out of the hinges and set aside. The safe door weighs about 90lbs. We then laid the safe down on a thick carpet with two 2x4s in the garage face down.

Make sure you space the two 2x4s out so they are under the top and bottom of the safe. This way you will be able to get a grip when you go to move it. I had my son and 2 of his friends help me move it from the garage to the basement.

One guy at the top of the safe and one at the bottom and one guy on each side. We got our grip on the inside edge of the safe front, which we were able to do because it was sitting on the 2x4s. We lifted together and walked it into the house and sat it down face first on a thick rug right at the top of the bare wooden stairs.

We strapped the rug to the safe using two moving straps – top and bottom. Two guys then went down to about the 4th step and the other two slowly starting pushing the safe towards the stairs. It then tipped down and the two guys on the stairs were able to manage to slowly let the safe come down the steps – one step at a time.

Got it to the bottom and again laid it down. We all got our grip again and carried it to the spot in the basement and stood it straight up. We put the door back on and everything was fine.

The safe arrived quickly and in great condition. Simplex lock works flawlessly without the risk of failed batteries, sometimes flakey biometric readers or physical key requirements. Punch resistant housing is a must with Simplex locks.

Gas piston-assist works well in assisting with opening the heavy lid. Super heavy-duty pistol safe. I especially like Dean’s Safe return policies and how they handle products damaged in shipping. I compared Dean’s policies with other online sellers and found Dean’s to be one of the best.

Save yourself some grief and compare shipping/return polices before purchasing. Some put the burden on you to inspect the package before the delivery driver leaves. No regrets.

Spent a lot of time searching for a good night stand safe. I had ordered the fingerprint and RFID models and was just not happy with the quality and consistency of opening the the safe. When I saw the Stealth Heavy Duty Handgun Safe Mechanical Pistol Box on Dean Safe web site I had to try it.

I was already leaning towards the Fort Knox but the Stealth had some added features and a punch resistant housing. The simplex lock and about $100 cheaper gave me the green light to order it up. I glad I did I will be keeping this one for a long time to come.

I was looking at the Fort Knox safe but for 300+ dollars they can keep it, so I found this one. Fair price point, and in my opinion doesn’t compromise integrity. The textured surface is nice, and conceals well being black.

The locking mechanism is easy to change for new passwords and smooth when opening. Plus the struts when opening really push the lid open in case of any emergency. It fits 2 compact pistols and 3 mags for me.

Wouldn’t think twice about it If I needed another gun safe.

TraduciMostra in lingua originaleI purchased the 4 button digital vault SV-500. It’s a secure, quick access vault that holds one handgun and would meet safety requirements for children’s acces to firearms.

Mounting the base plate to my nightstand, and the vault to the plate took about 20 minutes (being careful, measuring and ensuring vertical plumb). Prior to installation I put in a 9volt lithium battery for the longest life.

The location and super tight fit of the battery holder would make it very hard to change the battery once the vault is mounted. The battery will have to be pried out. Plan on taking the vault off to change the battery, or do it while upside down.

Code setting is fairly straightforward, and flexible enough to make a code your little ones shouldn’t randomly solve. I muted the buttons to reduce access noise. Some reviews mention code failure. I’ve found you must be deliberate in entering the code.

Too fast, or not firm pressure will result in a failed attempt. However, while you can mute the beeps, you can do nothing about the horrendously loud double clunk sound of the lock releasing. If accessing your firearm quietly is your plan, it ain’t happening with this device.

It’s about as loud, but more hollow, as racking the slide and releasing it on a 1911. The bumper that cushions and slightly muffles the drop of the carriage is hard to install after the vault is mounted.

I had to come up with an alternate fastening solution. I bought this so I could keep my personal defense gun handy, but secure from my grandkids. The battery, bumper, and NOISE, kelps the rating no better than a three.

I’m happy with it so far. It serves the purpose that I wanted it for. It arrived by truck to my door without a scratch. It’s bolted to a metal pallet. I have not removed it yet because I haven’t had the help needed.

It was easy enough for two of us to move around with a heavy-duty dolly (good & bad). The inside does have a slight glue smell but mine is not as bad as some of the other reviewers described. It seems like a nice safe.

Easy enough to program. Also has a key backup. I also like the electrical outlet inside for a de-humidifier or whatever else you’d want to plug in. Also has a provision for bolting it to the floor (hardware/anchors included).

I would recommend this as a good buy if you want a reasonably priced safe. Plan on a couple hundred bucks plus for delivery.

Safe was as advertised. Heavy duty other reviews stated alarm was sensitive and I found that to be true but also the alarm was not very loud upon unpacking I found quite few scratches on the backside of the Safe.

Unnoticeable yes as it’s on the back but when you pay almost 2k for it it shouldn’t have any blemishes whatsoever being that it would be more of a hassle to load it back up and take it back and deal with the price all over again I just went ahead and installed it.

I purchased on-line with home delivery. Site stated it would be delivered in 7 days with a time window. Unbeknownst to me that was an estimate. Anyway it was delivered 7 days later. Safe is just what I wanted.

Nice adjustable shelving. Not so sure it will hold 32 guns, but it definitely hold the three that I have. Internal power is nice for lighting or dehumidifier. Pouches on door are nice and will hold 6 pistols.

Being waterproof is a plus. One thing the owner’s manual does not mention is that you can remove the door to lighten the load if taking up or down stairs. Just be careful as the hinge pins might come out when lifting the door off of the hinges.

The pins are very greasy. I saw a review of a similar safe on youtube. This safe adresses the complaints about the reset button and the door pins that can be pushed in. In a nutshell this is exactly what I wanted and will serve the purpose of keeping children and amateur burglars out.

Just be aware that the stated delivery date on website is an estimate. Don’t take a day off to accept delivery until shipping company calls to make delivery arrangements.

This safe is perfect for times when I’m out and carrying is prohibited at some locations. Provides peace of mind that if by chance an opportunistic thief breaks into my vehicle – I can be confident that I didn’t provide a weapon on the streets.

It’s a good little safe to keep some hand guns from being played with by snoopy kids (or adults lol). It is sturdy and attractive and easy to use. It’s very light and easy to carry (which I find convenient), so don’t purchase this hoping it will be hard for a thief to pick up and run off with it.

I don’t love that it is operated by AA batteries (not included). I am weary that they are going to wear out without my knowledge and leave me in a bad situation. Like some other people in the reviews, my package was delivered very indiscreetly.

The box said “pistol safe” very clearly all over it. I’m not happy that my neighbors and roommates know that I own a safe at all, let alone a gun. However, life goes on. I’m happy with the purchase.

Safe is fine and sturdy. However it was advertised as having whisper quiet keypad. That part is true but once the latch releases the springs force the door open with a ton of force and it makes a loud bang against the rubber stops.

That kinda defeats the purpose of having a quiet keypad.

I have a 2 year old granddaughter so I need to keep my pistol safe and away from little fingers. Out of the box and put the batteries in ,and set my code ,took keys out which is very important. I shut the door punch in my code and nothing.

I tried this two or three more times with the same result and then tried the key and still nothing. I smack it in the side and the door opened. I ended up having to bend the latch on the door a little bit to reduce drag.

This is why the four stars. Now it seems to work quick and easy every time and I love the feeling of being able to have my pistol locked and loaded and arms length and knowing my granddaughter will be safe too.

It also has an alarm if someone puts in the wrong code which is a nice feature.

Note: Initial review. I have had the unit less than a month. I bought the QAP2BLX due to the features of redundant access, 2 pistol capacity, internal light and “whisper quiet opening”. It is a good solid unit and had all the features as it was advertised.

I received it promptly and it was adequately packaged. The problems I encountered included being able to access the unit via the digital code. To use the digital access your use of the “buttons” had to be very firm and had to have a momentary delay between each entry for it to work.

It took me about 30 minutes to get the factory code to work so that I could program the biometric feature. The deliberate entry of the digital code is a cause for concern if fast entry in needed. The light is only on for about 10 seconds, is not very bright and does not fully illuminate the inside once items are placed in the safe.

The biometric entry (fingerprint) is easy to program, is very reliable and is reasonably quick to open. The opening is not whisper quiet. The gas filled strut (this model is supposed to have the upgraded strut) opens fast and with significant noise (I do not have it secured to the drawer it is in).

The instruction manual (included) was quite good, especially when it came to programming the fingerprint feature.

This safe is a must have and gives you the upper hand in any situation with its finger print/ code entry points. When seconds matter, so does Sentry! Easy programming for code and finger print scanner.

Love the addition of the blue light inside which can be turned on and off at the touch of a button. Pre drilled holes for easy mounting with hardware included. Back up keys and the ability to save your code on the website should you forget.

Love the groove on top for easy carry. The safe looks really cool and and gives you an added sense of confidence and security. I will definitely purchase another!.

Bought a Sentry Safe biometric safe about a year ago. To open that one, FIRST you had to push any one of the buttons to light them up, THEN you entered the code. This newest one you just start pushing the buttons to enter the code.

This is CONFUSING! In the middle of the night, How will I remember which safe I’m using so I know which entry sequence I need to use? Same with the fingerprint reader. On the older one, I had to DRAG my finger down the sensor (after pushing one of the buttons to light the sensor).

This newer one, dragging won’t work. The finger just rests on the sensor without pushing a button first. Again, CONFUSING. If I’m under duress and in a hurry and it’s dark, I will have to waste time figuring out which code or fingerprint technique to use.

You shouldn’t have changed it. The older one works just fine.

Well made; thoughtfully laid out and will last for years. It is nicely designed and can be placed just about anywhere without being obtrusive. My only suggestion is to number the fingertip key entry to allow for ease of number selection and sequencing.

Also suggest a stronger vault light for ease of viewing contents. Otherwise, it is a solid product that I would recommend to anyone to purchase.

The safe is plenty big enough for two handguns, and is easy to open quickly. The only thing I think could be done better is if the noise made by the lid opening could be dampened or quieted. Initial “wake-up” and key in of code does not make noise but when the lid opens it makes a metallic banging sound.

Otherwise I am pleased with the safe.

Using this as a bedside gun safe. It is very secure, opens quickly after security code is entered. Accommodates 2 pistols and extra mags. Very heavy steel enclosure. Nice low watt blue light. Quiet operation.

Will purchase another smaller one for travel.

The Winchester 34 safe is an awesome gun safe with lots of room. I really like the layout of this safe and how it is professionally made with great construction and a smooth swinging door. Also, Armadillo safes has great customer service and they made the transaction very easy with great delivery service.

Heavy construction with 3 options of opening, combination, key & rfid. Two power sources, battery & wall socket. The safe will fit one large pistol or two compact. A draw back is the opening lid does not open fully.

Also the weight would make it difficult to carry in luggage but not impossible. All in all a good safe.

These guys are prompt and very easy to work with. The Winchester Big Daddy is solid quality and made well. If I had to do this over again, I will definitely take this route. Content.

I bought two of these and they are horrible. Both open fine with the key, but not with the combination. I took them both apart to check. The issue for the first one is that the servo that opens the lock doesn’t even work, period.

Enter the code, it accepts it, nothing happens. The second unit’s servo was wired backwards, such that when it tried to “open” the lock, it actually spun the other way and was just banging against the mount.

For $99, I figured it should at least work, but I’m 0-2 with these and won’t even try to replace them at this point. I’m actually quite shocked at all the good reviews people have given this. I may be willing to try a third, but I definitely won’t be leaving the store without putting a batter in it to make sure it actually works.

PROS: Does what it is intended to do. It will not prevent a well equipped/motivated thief from taking your gun, but it will prevent kids, guests and anyone in a hurry from getting at it. This little lockbox fits everything from a snub nosed revovler to a full size 1911 and everything in-between.

Even had no issues with a weapon mounted light. Mute button to silence the keypad. LED light stays on long enough to grab the gun. Like the ability to program a 6-digit code and change it if needed. CONS: The 4 included mounting screws are worthless.

heads strip with very little pressure. Do yourself a favor and get some good hardware from a trusted source. It does not accommodate extended magazines. 10, 12, 15 and 17 round magazines in a 9mm – no problem.

7 & 8 round magazines in a. 45ACP 1911 are good to go, but not 10 round. 45 magazines. Overall This is a solid purchase for the price. I am OK with a double action revolver (9-10 lb trigger pull) or a semi auto with manual safety being put in with one in the chamber, but would not recommend putting a semi auto without manual safety in with one in the chamber.

In my opinion it would be risky as the foam could potentially catch the trigger on the way in.

The thing I like most about this is the low profile. It fit very nicely on a night stand next to the bed without taking up a lot of space. Very easy to use and opens quickly if needed. One of the things I don’t like about it is the noise it makes when opened, but I can live with that.

Also I agree with some of the other reviews that it was a pain to install. Also the battery is going to be very difficult to access when it needs replaced. But over all I like this drop down safe. It’s convenient, quick and easy to open.

I’d buy it again.

The safe’s constructions is excellent. It’s strong, locks solidly, and is attractive enough to place in a main area of the house, and not just relegated to the garage. However, it does have one serious drawback; the door-mounted rack interferes with the front row of racks in the body of the safe.

You can either use only the row closest to the back wall and the door rack, or remove the door rack (difficult. ) Therefore one cannot call this a 65-gun safe. Arranged properly, it can hold as many as 50 guns, but I see no way to make it hold 65.

Having no intention to store 65 firearms and being well aware all safe storage ratings are optimistic at best, I went in with expectations based in reality. The quality and features for the money are impossible to rival in a safe this size.

I’m not using the door storage, well, I have one Fabarm STF 12 on the door, but I am using all of the shelving and gun racks inside the safe. 9 ARs and 3 Scars 16,17 and 20S all fit with immediate access without having to move other firearms.

The preinstalled interior lighting was a pleasant surprise, the Browning website doesn’t mention it.

All the best of Browning without the high-end price of some of the prettier safes! We have a really expensive, furniture quality safe in the house that does a great job with the collector guns and jewelry – but nothing beats the patented long-gun door organizer in the big Brownings! This was my husband’s Christmas present, and I had it put in his “man cave” where he keeps all of his hunting gear.

Nice and wide, but only 25″ deep so it doesn’t take up the entire room, but locks up his collection of hunting firearms perfectly. Buy it!!.

This is a great drawer safe for the money. The problem for me was mounting it to the floor. I have 24″ porcelain and I wasn’t about to start chunking holes in it. So I bought two and bolted them together but opposing each other.

I cut a rubber mat to line the underside then I filled the lower drawer with 600 pounds of bricks. Combined with two drawers and all the contents it weighs over 1000 pounds. No crackhead is going to be equipped to drag that out.

Plus its nice having the drawer an extra 7″ off the floor. Excessive I know but thats just me.

The overall design is a good one. It’s a little pricy but came very well packed to avoid damage. The only problems I had was in mounting the vault to my trunk, the instruction were confusing. Also after mounting the vault the drawer keeps sticking.

I adjusted the side rail and still gets caught up. So I have to push it shut with some force and give it a good pull to open it. Overall it fits a lot of gear and rifles. Just had to work out some kinks.

Excellent product. Well build. Will hold a decent amount of handguns and rifles.
