12 Best Truck Subwoofer Box (2022 Updated)

I am a not really much of a bass head but I do enjoy a very rich full sounding sound system. My 2020 Honda Civic was really missing the punch a good subwoofer has. I purchased this subwoofer enclosure for simplicity, it’s power rating & price point.

I had an older Honda Civic with a budget minded system. It left me feeling like I should have purchased a little bit more of a subwoofer and amp. This time around I am doing things a little bit different.

Instead of a running a single 5 channel amp. I am using a nicely matched JBL Club A600 mono amp which is also rated at 350 Watts RMS. (Same as the subwoofer) I also plan on purchasing a full set of infinity speakers and another 4 Channel amp.

I currently only have the mono amp and sub installed but I already know I am on the right track with what I am looking for out of the system. I love it when you can feel the music and hear it clearly too absolutely nothing better.

It’s a good value. Bass is punchy but maybe a bit lacking for that low sustain you would expect from a Bandpass box. Possibly because of it’s compact size. I’m powering it with a 1000 watt crunch and had to turn it down to about 25% output.

It matches nicely with another 12″ reflex woofer beside it.

Great sound, awesome depth. My amp has a remote control for me to control the power so its easy to adjust the power going through. If paired with the right amp this loaded band pass is amazing.

This box is built with quality. It is on the heavy side, but that is expected with the rhino liner. Paired it with a JL W0 and this box hits hard. The box fits perfectly behind the seat of my 05 regular cab Ram 1500.

Overall, very impressed with the item. Would absolutely recommend this box!.

Have this box in a single cab sierra with a 10 kicker CVX and it pounds!! Great value and even better build quality. Ive purchased a few of these because they are so great!!!

Here’s the thing about this box, just buy it if you’re looking to build one but would like to save some time. Don’t buy it if your want to throw a speaker in a box and be done with it. Don’t get me wrong, that could work too for some folks, but there are a couple problems here if you’re not willing to mod the stock item.

First and foremost is the clip terminal cup. Now, in building a set of subs, I must admit I haven’t used both boxes yet, but the first box leaks horribly out of the unsealed (!) stock terminal cup. What in the world.

I mean major air leak noise at any volume level. I replace these with quality binding posts anyway, but still. An easy fix in their factory to put a decent product on the shelf from stock. The other issue for modding isn’t as simple – the port length.

Stock, this box is tuned to about 41hz. Not bad, but a bit weak for deep lows. There’s not too much room inside for extending, but I was able to both internally brace, dampen, and extend the port by 6-8” or so up top and gained a few extra Hz and tightened bass that way.

It’s doable, just be prepared to work a bit. Sonic Barrier, pine boards cut to length for bracing, tight bond III glue, hot glue, poly fill, decent wires, proper binding posts, and you have yourself a mighty high quality sub box that would take way more time and skill with tools to build than to just buy this box and mod it.

Good deal for this! Or just you know throw a sub in and stick it in your trunk. You’d never notice the air leak there and you’d gain the bottom octave of your songs. TLDR: I always mod pre-built boxes or build my own.

This box is good for modding, okay for stock. Good thick front baffle. Cheap terminals.

I received the sub box in perfect condition. Quality is great, surprising cost. The only “problem” was that it didn’t have a speaker terminal cup. An adjustment in price was refunded to me by Walmart.

It was enough to pay for the speaker terminal cup I ordered online.

Absolutely beautiful! The face fits perfect on my wrist, not too big, not too small. The band was a little stiff but is becoming flexible with usage.

Says it’s designed for the 2015 Silverado 3500 but doesn’t let the seats lock in the down position. It’s a solid sub box. Just doesn’t fit properly.

This box was perfect for my 12in Kickers. Box carries a nice base sound. Fit perfectly under the rear seat.

Box isn’t the same one as pictured, and I’ve spent 2 weeks dealing with customer service trying to get it sorted out with no luck and very little help. Do not buy from this company unless you are ready to deal with a bunch of problems and if you do good luck to you.

This box shakes my ride ! I put a 10″ Polk Audio DXI in it ,along with a Dual 400 watt amp. Also added carpet padding on three walls inside, otherwise sounds harsh. The size is perfect does not take up much trunk space.

Ordered on line and took less than a week to deliver. I am very pleased with this product well built.

I bought this box because I didn’t want to work in building one. So I bought it. It comes already built, so there’s no work needed, except for putting in the speaker. but that, anyone can do it. I would buy another one if needed.

The box fits perfectly. The construction quality it great and the box had no flaws. The dampening cloth inside was secured perfectly with nothing dangling. A great box and I’m 100% satisfied.

Great box built well, air space is a little tight with the subs I picked up but all in all great deal.

I initially ordered a box for a 1988 chevy 1500,but I was sent one for a 1999.

This is an AMAZING woofer set-up! Let me start be saying this is not a 12″ or 15′ sub. It is, however, a top notch 10″ sub. That means it will sound great with a large variety of music. Forget the deep bass you get from the 12 and 15’s.

It just isn’t there. It performs as it is meant to. Having said that, I think the sound will impress just about anyone. It is called “Stealth” due to being hidden from anyone looking to steal your property.

Yes, a bit pricey, but well worth it if you pair it with a JL Audio Amp. My Tacoma sounds absolutely AMAZING!.

Perfect solution to improve your sound and save cargo space. Definitely expensive but the speaker and enclosure are quality. You have to drill 3 holes into the wheel well area but it’s not bad at all.

If you still have your factory fenders and liners in the rear, JL Audio provides replacement fasteners to reinstall your fender liner. This install took about an hour to do. JL Audio provides great instructions with pictures, so they are easy to follow.

If you want to add a subwoofer that looks factory and saves space go with this, you won’t be disappointed.

If you like hearing your music like I do this a much needed upgrade to the Toyota premium sound system lol. JL Audio has been know for high quality products a This stealth box is a perfect example. The only thing is you have to change out the back plastic panel that can only be bought from Toyota, so this was not a cheap upgrade.

My installation was done at my local audio shop as I upgraded all speakers and added amps powering the whole system.

Good amount of bass from this little subwoofer. Just dont expect crazy bass if you have it in the trunk. If you could fit it under the seat, it will be good, or in a extend cab truck would be good too.

This small subwoofer produces more then enough bass in my Elantra. I had to adjust the volume a little lower. GOOD SMALL SUB.

I bought this for my 2006 tundra limited because it has limited space for a sub. The subwoofer makes an insane amount of bass for its tiny size. Highly recommend

When I was younger (circa early 2000s) I was all about car audio. I would save for months to buy top of the line equipment. So, I was a bit hesitant to buy subs from Best Buy. I hooked 2 of these up in my 2006 Silverado extended cab (both fit pretty good under my back seat on each side) to the Kicker CX 800.

1 amp, and I was very pleasantly surprised! Now, these don’t compare to my old JL15W3s I had years ago, but for the price, they are pretty sweet. The bass is perfect for me to cruise around and rock out to.

I’m no longer into the subs that take my breath away when they hit, but I still enjoy listening to loud music! For the price, they are pretty hard to beat. I highly recommend!.

Bought two of these for my 2005 dodge ram quad cab and while they don’t fit under the rear seats like I was hoping (These will work for trucks that actually have a flat floor) they bump uncomfortably hard.

I didn’t realize that when I had my double dim installed previously, they didn’t tighten down my rear view mirror. Well these subs made that mirror vibrate off the windshield in spectacular fashion without being turned up al the way.

Paired with a 880 watt, 4 channel amp in bridge mode. I probably could have done with only one sub. Worth every penny.

So the husband had to have some beat in our truck, we went to a few places before I remembered to go to best buy and look at their open boxed items. Well that’s where he found this kicker and my goodness did it work great.

When it decided to work. It shorted out and stopped working (may or may not have been operator error) but we checked everything about 5 times over so it just stopped working. I will be returning to the store today in hopes of getting a new one or just a refund whichever will be fine.

Like I said it worked good when it did work wish I knew what happened so that we could’ve fixed it.

This box hits hard, well worth the money. only fault i have is the way it’s packaged the company needs to protect the corners of the box with some type of packaging material instead of just the cardboard box its put in, as my box one of the corners was chipped alittle no big deal though.

So I originally bought this box to go with a kit I purchased off Walmart and needless to say I only love one thing and that’s this box. The sub and amp kit I originally bought was a total piece the amp was blown and one sub right out the box so now I have 2 Quinn acoustics q124 powered by a 1000w Jensen amp which isn’t too impressive but man does this box boom for the money it’s definitely a no brainer to buy.

strong solid construction I’m just not a big fan of the speaker plugs so I replaced them but the box it’s self deserves a five star.

I had such a difficult time figuring what i needed and how to wire it. But dont give up. The end rewards are nice. I was blown away with this. If your gonna buy a subwoofer dont waste your money with a cheaper subwoofer.

The way i did it was i bought a 600 watt jenson amp. It has Bluetooth so no wires to run to control the subwoofer and i bought bass blockers for all of my door speakers and then i Soldier in the wires to the amp from the rear speakers.

(4 wires, The positive and negative from the left and the right speaker). That also reduces the amount of wire needed to run across the car.

I got this sub a little while ago for my little susuki sx4. I went into it knowing close to nothing about subwoofers but my friend had two factory subs in his car and it always made think about getting one.

This sub is EXCELLENT and rivals the combined setup that my buddy has by far. It adds a ton of punch to my music and significantly improves the sound system even though I’ve swapped all four door speakers prior.

It makes my whole car shake at times and I’m not sure how I’ll own a car in the future without a sub. I’ve since swapped cars and moved everything into it and it still sounds amazing. If you’re just getting in to subwoofers this is a fantastic start.

I dont like my phone up in my windshield or clipped to a vent and had trouble finding anything that would hold well down lower. This mount has a very small base and can be mounted in many places out of the way.

Magnet is very strong. Only down side is my contact charging was blocked by the large square metal plate on the phone. The smaller round plate is used down lower to allow contact charging again. Both plates are supplied.

BIG SOUND FROM A SMALL UNIT. AWESOME COMPACT MINI AMP. VERY LIGHT WEIGHT YET BUILT TO DO THE JOB. IT’S GREAT THAT IT ONLY USES A 15 AMP FUSE TO OPERATE THE SYSTEM. THAT SAVES BATTERY DRAW DOWN ON BIKE ELECTRONICS.

I’M HAPPY SO FAR.

the specifications of this sub works very well with my system, this infinity reference 1070 out performs my old Rockford 4410 sub by a mile, matches my infinity kappa 6×8’s great bye
