20 Best Truck Wash Soap (2022 Updated)

smells nice. makes lots of foam. but does a terrible job of cutting dirt and mud, you still have to hand wash if you want no residue left behind. used it on my wife’s subaru with light mud/dust on the fenders and had to re wash with a hand shammy to actually get the residue off.

not sure what makes this “tough mudder” stuff different than any other regular soap.

I’ve used a few chemical guys soaps and this one really does work nicely on muddy trucks. I used it on my Jeep after a weekend in the woods and it smells great and did a great job at removing the dirt.

I wet sprayed, then foam cannoned this on, let it sit, sprayed it off and then spray cannoned it on again and washed off with a mitt and got a perfect clean jeep.

I used this product for my mobile truck wash and I really like it. The hardest thing to wash a truck are the bugs, they are really hard to get rid, but with this product make the wash more easy. Unfortunately they dont really explain in the how to use in a better detail for those who we use foam cannon.

But aside from that I like it. I totally recommend it.

Owned pressure washer business. Used on tractors and trailers, sanitation trucks well as motors and nothing works like it. Fabulous for vinyl siding and metal roofs aluminum wheels and more. Have to know the right mix for application.

I use with 3300 psi washer.

Does à pretty good job when using a pressure washer. Don’t need to use a mitt if you don’t wanna cause swirl marks. Just spray on, wait 5-10 minutes (unless sitting in sun then 3) and it’ll melt the dirt and grime off.

Do NOT let it dry on the vehicle!.

The media could not be loaded. To be honest, I was unable to try this remedy on my dusty car without first washing it. It’s a shock for me to put whatever it is on a dusty or dirty car and start rubbing it.

I am sure doing this will damage the paintwork. Perhaps this is my stereotype. But I must admit that I was delighted with the use of this remedy. Even my wife (she never reacts like that to a washed car) said that she looks like new.

As I said, I first washed the car in the car wash and then slowly, part by part, processed the entire body of the car. It was neither difficult nor tedious. I used two towels, the first rubbed immediately after spraying and the second rubbed for the final shine.

I have a Honda Odyssey and the bodywork took a certain amount of time. I cannot say that the NEXGEN consumption was very high. The spray works well and I haven’t used up a lot. I really liked the look of my car after processing and the feeling I get from touching the finished parts.

I have a couple of cars that I don’t want to wash with traditional methods- I don’t want water pooling in crevices, pushing dirt/pollen into recessed areas or leaving spots. These spray-wash products are so much better for garage-queen cars as we can clean them inside the garage easily.

Vintage cars with single-stage paint and modern cars with thinner, multi-stage paints with clear coats all seem to work really well with this. The UV protection is hopefully adequate, but the cleaning capability is excellent and saves the step of using two products to clean and then protect the cars.

We tried this on a 50+ year old E-Type, an 88 Countach and a one year old R8 and they all came out gleaming- and still have enough left to do another car or a few motorcycles. Water rolls right off the finish.

It might be more expensive than some other brands, but it removes the need for a two-step, two product approach. We tried a 50+. 30+ and relatively new car and it did well on all of them. Daily drivers will still get the traditional outside car wash, since they get exposed to more road grime.

My first test with this product was on a small car that was dusty with a light dirty look. I sprayed on a 24-inch area spot and wiped off with a microfiber towel. The paint felt slippery when finished and the 24-inch area had a shine to it.

My next test was to wash the car with car wash soap and dry. I then applied the Nexgen product the same as the first test but sprayed the whole car in segments until finished. It certainly gave the paint a shiny look.

The bottle is still 98 percent full. It didn’t take a lot of sprays but it seems expensive when you calculate by the ounce. My thoughts are when you cannot wash your car by hand or at a carwash this is a handy next choice and is a good product.

I got the 32 ounce container should be good for a lot of washes. Don’t freak about the size. Figure a typical bottle of hair shampoo is 16 ounces, so this bottle is like two of them. But you only need to use a little bit -1 to 3 ounces for a gallon of water.

I used a little bit and got a lot of suds. Applied with a noodle-mitt, rinsed and then dried with a microfiber drying towel and cloths. Came out clean and shiny.

The new car is outstanding. I use it on a fleet of six (6) funeral vehicles. Family asked or comment about how good they look. I am proud to say Mothers. Thanks Gene

I use this regularly to wash my vehicles. Very good cleaning action and stays wet long enough for me to towel off before it drys.

I use Maxi Suds II with a foam gun and it produces a nice thick, slick foam. Practice the two bucket wash method (in YouTube type:Junkman two bucket wash method, for detailed instructions) and place a cap full in the wash bucket.

Product cuts through most dirt & grime and lifts it off the paint so the wash-mitt isn’t grinding grit into the paint. I filter & save the left over soap solution and use it for spot cleaning, with a spray bottle, on outdoor equipment & furniture.

Won’t remove tar or paint but most other road grime comes off. Pre-soak/treat bugs with a liberal spray. Buy it for use with a foam gun or foam cannon for best results.

I wanted a special gentle product to use as the first wash on my freshly painted collector car. At O’Rielly Auto Parts I checked over all the washes and decided to try the Griot’s Garage Car Wash. The parts guy said I made a good choice.

Did I ever! The wash left the car with a great shine, no swirl marks, no water spots and so easy to dry. I rinsed out the bucket squeezed out the micro-fiber sponge and washed the wifes car with Griots and my old car wash brush I wouldn’t use on my freshly painted ride.

Her car looks great, still looked wet after it was dry. She even commented on how great it looks. Then, the final test, I picked up my shop van, a 2013 Ford Transit Connect, partially wrapped and and black factory paint.

The wrap cleaned up really nice, but the black roof, hood and black doors. I forgot that it was Panther Black Metallic, with a rainbow assortment of flakes, the 8 year old black paint looked fantastic.

I don’t get this shine at the automatic car washes I usually run the van through. I’ll reach for Griot’s next time, all the time.

This soap says to use 1ounce per 2 gallons of water. I have tried, and that results in a large bucket full of water, but hardly any soap. Even my wife who knows nothing about cars was like, there is no soap in here.

When using this soap, you have to pour alot of it in your bucket to get good suds. I would guess a good 5-8 ounces. Seems to be good stuff, you just can’t follow directions on the bottle, otherwise you’ll just be washing your car with a mitt full of water and hardly any suds.

I have bought this car wash many times – most recently in the gallon size. I have also bought this car wash to give as a gift to a relative who is an extreme “muscle car enthusiast. ” This truly is the best car wash ever! Low suds with a sparkling result! I have been handwashing my personal cars for over 50 years, and I have never found a better product!.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. This just doesn’t supply enough foam. I even put in 4 oz. of concentrate, where the instructions state to add only 1 oz. I still got a few foams, but at 4 times the amount directed, it was just not very much.

I put 2 stars since it did provide some foaming, it wasn’t a complete failure. But just don’t waste your money.

I have struggled washing autos for over 50 years. The biggest part of my angst wash which car wash to use to prevent spots and having to chamois the vehicle dry before the hot southern sun did. After buying a totally blacked out pickup truck I broke down and purchased Rain-x Spot Free car wash.

I’m a believer now. After washing my new baby I just sat back with a cold one and let the sun go ahead and dry the truck. VIOLA! No spots! Thanks for making a product that cuts my washing time in half.

It is a little tricky to get the spotless finish. You soap it up, scrub as required, and the tricky part is the rinse. You have to watch to see that all of the bubbles are gone but stop while the rinse is still coming off in a sheet.

If you continue to rinse until you see droplets, it will leave spots.

I bought a new black race trailer and wanted something that I didn’t have to scrub with a brush; causing swirls/scratches. I’m realist and questioned the effectiveness of “no-touch” but I saw value in the fact it said it wouldn’t leave water spots.

I tried the Touch Free route and it was completely ineffective, as expected. We then reapplied via foam gun and brush. Came clean but so many water spots and residue streaks it looked better before washing it.

I guess I expect something better for the money. I gave it 2 stars because I suppose it is as good as any car wash soap but the price indicates it should be better. Note: I bought 5 different solutions/Soaps.

Great product, has my bike looking new again. Works much better than other solutions like simple green that i’ve used in the past.

I have been using armour all products for as long as I can remember. Armour All has serious cleaning power and capability. My Ford escape sits under a nuisance maple tree and gets covered in sticky sap to where it’s at the brim of destroying my vehicle.

Once a week I use armour all and it brings that sticky maple substance off so easily, as to where we have to scrub with brushes when using dish soap. I am more than impressed and will continue to use armour all! I definitely recommend.

Not sure if it is related to my hard water, but I followed the suggested dilution rate, maybe even added a bit more solution to my bucket of water than recommended, but it was still pretty watery. Small black gnats that hang around my home loved the smell and flocked to my soapy car, sacrificing their lives to experience it.

Anyway, it still cleaned my car very well. Good experience despite the bugs.

This is one of my favorite products to use when i don’t have time to apply wax immediately after washing and detailing our cars and trucks. This product is also consistently available on the shelf when other products may be out of stock frequently.

Autozone always keeps plenty of wash and wax stocked. Its just a good reliable product.

Got this to use with my 2000psi pressure washer full strength. Normally, I use Maguire’s but decided to “go cheap” and fell or the manufacturer description. As soon as I opened the jug, I KNEW it was worthless and waste of my money! It poured out like water, look like antifreeze, only plus was the scent, which WON’T clean my vehicles.

Using foam cannon, I normally use just @1/3 bottle with Maguire’s car wash but, this I had to refill and use 2 bottles full and then some to coat my truck. By the time I got it covered, where I started had already run down and dried!! Ended up re-spraying with what little Maguire’s I had left, @1/4 bottle in foam cannon and THAT stayed even after I got done spraying my truck! I rather spend @$25 for Maguire’s than having to use this junk and waste water AND money AND still get nothing done!.

turtle wax max power cleaning cart wash is really good at cleaning your automobile. It looks and smells like orange juice with fruity hint but it will take off the hard pollen, tree sap, etc. In a foam cannon 50/50 or full works great! This is not a wash and wax it’s a deep cleaning WASH, afterwards you can wash with wax or hand wax.

When your vehicle is dirty you need to first WASH it then wax not both at the same time. Carnauba wash or wax after using this is good.

Turtle wax has out out a new soap that we add to our armor all sprayer that attaches to our power washer. This literally brings the soapy spray you get at the car wash to your home. Power washer not included, but if you have one this is the best set up ever.

Just pour in the armor all attachment sold at local parts store and spray on them unhook and spray off! That’s all…and you will be left a clean vehicle or well whatever you want to wash! Soap smells really good too.

I purchased the soap and wax along with the pressure washer foam gun to use on my 1986 42’ trawler. So Far I am very pleased with the ease of applying the soap and wax. Very good results, but I have not been out of the covered slip yet.

The test will be when we leave Mississippi headed to Florida. This will be a great test of the products.

I’ll tell you what, this product is probably the best on the market. The way it foams on and then stays on while brushing the truck is amazing. Way better quality than any professional truck wash.

The soap smells good. Lathers up nice snd there is a great shine even before applying the wax. My husband was saying ” look at that shine I can see myself ” highly recommend wash and the wax

Bought the 16oz bottle to try out as my Carpro Reset is a bit pricey. This stuff works well for maintenance washes and provides good slickness to the paint. It didn’t leave spots or any residue on my black vehicle.

I think for an actual cleaning shampoo Carpro Reset is better but this one works. Only con to it is that it’s thick and doesn’t mix well in the water bucket so you have to blast it for awhile longer with the pressure washer for it to mix well enough.

Ended up buying a gallon for a good discount.

I cannot believe the other reviews. I don’t usually write things like this. But come on people. Properly dilute. Fully rinse. You will have no issues. The shampoo didn’t leave water marks. The water did.

Shampoo can’t control your lack of common Sense. I’m mobile in hot humid Tampa FL and use it for the simple fact I can let it dry in sun and I’ve NEVER had a single issue. Best product on the market for washing outdoors.

I’m not sure if I should be disappointed or not. Well, I kind of am but not sure if I should be. This stuff smells good and my car comes out very clean, but what I am missing is foam and bubbles. I use the two bucket method instead of a foam cannon.

I put the recommended amount in a bucket and fill with water using a hose and spray nozzle. That produces plenty of bubbles and foam in the bucket but when I take the wash mitt to the car, it’s pretty much just water.

Someone mentioned lubricity in a previous review, and maybe I have plenty of that but virtually no foam or bubbles. Perhaps I purchased the wrong product because the previous shampoo I used (it was pink) resulted in plenty of foam and bubbles on the car itself, rather than just in the bucket.

This is a very nice car shampoo. For the price it cleans well and leaves obvious protection behind. The water bead during the rinse indicating some temporary protection is there. Of course having a properly prepped car is vital to any shampoo or wax/sealant life.

Wash. Clay bar and decon with iron remover, wax and then use this soap to maintain the finish and protection. Is it the best? Nope. But it does work quite well for the price. The newer Turtle Wax Ceramic car wash is better in my experience but some users don’t like it because it doesn’t foam up enough.

Ignore the lack of suds that soap is superb.

Ordered the Ice paste car wax online, bought two cans. Not available in my local Walmart. A little pricey but an unbelievable superb car wax (synthetic) Left no residuals or white marks, Glass like shine, slippery smooth finish that has lasted over 6 months.

After application it passed the “slide” test with the cleaning cloth. It’s that good. I also use the Ice car wash which enhances the paste wax finish. Used to be available in the store but no more, only via online purchase.

I’ll be honest, I normally use the yellow car wash soup that has that hyper coating thing that creates a wax layer that bubbles up water that falls on it after a wash. I ordered this cause it was on sale and needed car soap for the day since it was nice out.

It cleans just as good! And leaves that same film of wax but also cleans well that when you wipe the car with bare hands there’s no debris. Unless you have a old car you never ever clayed. Very good product, was surprised how good it was and similar to the yellow colored brand.

If it’s on sale, I say buy it. Can’t go wrong if you save a few bucks for the same exact results.
