20 Best Tub Cleaner Product (2022 Updated)

This product works great on cleaning the tub and shower area. All you need is this to remove soap scum, rust and hard water stains on most every kind of tile. The captures flips up and the cleaner pours out to go directly on the tile or you can put it on your cleaning sponge.

It’s easy to use and it does keep everything sanitized. Very satisfied with this item and we’ll buy more.

We have well water that tends to stain our shower walls. The Works Shower Cleaner is an excellent product and the only product that will clean this stain. The only reason I say it is not a good value is that I bought it for $1 to $1.

50 for years. After COVID-19, it is not available locally and the only place to get the real product (and this seems to be) is on E-Bay, and the price is 8 times what I normally pay.

Okay so I understand the appeal that this stuff is cheap and very harsh so it is easy to assume that it must work- but probably be harmful to the environment or surfaces or skin etc. Well I’ve assessed it in a few situations and don’t think it’s really worth the cheap price tag.

The chemical scent is EXTREMELY powerful and you MUST use it carefully in a well ventilated area. If you can’t then don’t use it. If you get migraines then avoid it. it’s that strong. However, the spray is weak and product isn’t very viscous at all so it doesn’t cling to stains.

When used in the home as an upkeep cleaner it failed to work as good as my usual cleaners so I though it needed a tougher test. I have a friend with VERY hard water that leaves the rust coloured stains just days after cleaning.

I used an entire bottle in the tub with a lot if scrubbing and it worked eventually but I did have to go outside several times for air. That said, if you by the ***** toilet cleaner from the same brand and use it in the shower etc it will work faster and overall more effectively with less product and less choking hazards from the noxious chemicals.

I moved into an apartment that needed repairs. One of the toughest was cleaning the tub and shower. I used multiple products until I remembered about “The Works” and it once again upheld it’s name. It was the only thing that actually got rid of the stains.

I will always keep a bottle in my house. Their toilet cleaner is amazing too.

I clean homes and business and I have used pretty much every cleaning product I’ve come across with many mixed results. All the products promise great results and not all of them deliver on said promise.

The works line of cleaning products absolutely work wonders on lime, rust stains and nasty build up with little effort after application. I have cleaned some pretty rough bathtubs and sinks that had really bad stains from hard water or rust and after using other products the stains were mostly still there even After using a stiff brush and lots of work.

I like that the works only needs to be sprayed on and let sit for a few minutes to dissolve the stains. It literally turns the rock hard build up to a slime that can be wiped or rinsed away. It is a very strong chemical smell, but it’s worth using once in a while for when there is build up.

I don’t use it every time I clean but I use it every now and then to reduce the build up. The works also makes a toilet bowl cleaner that works the same. I have seen toilets and tubs so bad it seemed like there was no hope for ever removing all the stains and after the works they are totally free from the yucky stains.

Most cleaning products can’t remove hard water and lime scale like the works. The only draw back is the very strong smell and it’s not pleasant but I can deal with it because it doesn’t need to be used a lot and once every few weeks of use isn’t bad.

I hate scrubbing stains so this is great for me. Spray it on and leave the room for a few and wipe it away and the stains are gone. O wouldn’t recommend standing over the product while it sits because it probably isn’t good for the lungs! I don’t mind using it but some people can’t get past the smell but I think the stuff in it that smells bad is what works so well.

You have to pick and choose your battles with cleaning products! It is easy to find in most stores and is very cheap and effective. I will never go back to scrubbing and breaking my back on stains.

Very deceiving in description. It says quantity 6 but you only get one bottle. I am not paying $21 for one bottle of the works. It does work great but I can get it for $2. 99 in stores. They are just out right.

Green Works by Clorox is a great product that we have used for a long time. This shipment of 3 bottles came in a sealed ziplock bag. It’s a very good thing, because the contents of one bottle were contained in the bag when the bottle leaked out from just under the sprayer.

All the labels ( front and back ) from all the bottles were destroyed in the mess. So the product is fine, but the over-all shipment was lacking to say the least.

I found other cleaning products to have a very harsh smell which makes it hard to breath. With other products I would have to open my windows to get rid of the strong fume. Using this product I find the complete opposite.

I can use this product in an environment without having to worry about chemicals. Also, I find it to be just as effective the other cleaning products.

I used this to clean my bathtub and the sink. even the toilet bowl. Its work well. I really like the oitcome after i used this. Even the smell is nice feel like fresh. And very affordable. i highly recommend this product to add in your cleaning stuff.

I’ve sued them all. This is the best. In 10 minutes I was able to brush the build-up away and it also cleaned the shower doors. I sprayed the doors, waited 10 minutes, and used a microfiber rag (slightly wet) and it was clear.

Hardly any elbow grease! The inside I used the squeegee after running the shower. Easy. Worth the money.

I have an old cast iron bathtub that has been difficult to clean, so I’ve been reluctant to clean it. When I’ve tried in the past with other cleaners, and there have been many, the result was always the same.

They couldn’t cut it. I did have to use the Bath Clean twice, but it did a terrific job of removing the hard water stains and dissolving any soap scum. I am sold on it. With regular use, I don’t think I’ll need to reapply it as I had to do with my first usage.

Many shower cleaners have crazy scents and I’m afraid to use them because of their ingredients. This however, will tell you another story. I used this Shower Cleaner by Granite Gold on the walls of my shower.

It works very effectively in removing all the gunk and build up. The scent is that of a simple cleaning agent. The only downside I found was that I had to really rub hard to clean the area very well.

Just make sure to adequately spray the cleaner onto the surface. I like that it doesn’t require using water and just directly sprays the cleaner onto the surface. It’s super easy to use. The bottle size is good too that could last you a few months at least.

What I love the most about this product is that it is safe to use in the shower as well as on food-prep surfaces. It’s non-toxic, non-acidic and free from ingredients like phosphates and ammonia. It’s also pH balanced and biodegradable.

If you use it regularly, then it will help prevent mold and mildew from forming on the surface. Now what a great product that works and that is also environmentally friendly?! I’d definitely recommend this to everyone.

I love the scent of this, and think it cleans pretty well. The issue I have with it is the “foaming nozzle. ” If and when you actually get a good spray from the bottle (rarely happens), it sprays the product vertically and in a splattery mess.

Who on earth wants something to spray in a vertical line??! I can only imagine the person who came up with this never actually cleans things themself. There’s no way to change the direction of the sprayer, either.

Honestly even a horizontal line of product would be kind of weird, because it means you’ll never get a precise spray. But the vertical spray just plain makes zero sense to me. I have debated putting this in a different spray bottle and just using that way, because I do really enjoy the fresh clean scent.

But it’s annoying to me that I ahve to do that when I’m sure the higher cost of this is somehow related to the special spray bottle.

I tried this product for the first time tonight. I’ll start by saying I’ve never used this brand. I do like this particular scent a lot. However, it took two applications and a ton of scrubbing to get the shower clean when in reality it wasn’t that dirty.

We typically buy another brand, spray it, leave it sit a couple minutes and spray it clean with water. Just liking the scent alone isn’t good enough for me to switch long term. I’m going to finish this bottle and then go back to our normal brand.

I just don’t have time to scrub everything twice. I’d only recommend it to someone with the time to do all the extra work.

I have been using this product for over 5 or 6 years now. When I first got it I was a little bit hesitant because a lot of times products promise things that they can’t deliver on. However, I love this product.

I totally, 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a clean kitchen. It gets tough stains off your counters and stove top, and those stains that you have difficulty with just spray it on and let it sit for a little while respray and wipe it down.

Most of the time I can use this product with a paper towel and it works perfectly, but on some occasions for the tougher stuff I need to use a scrub. Nevertheless, for the price and the smell even though which I also enjoy of this product totally recommend.

(’22) IC: My family has used Lysol brand for ages. This easy spray All purpose cleaner really came in handy during the pandemic. That was if you could find it on store shelves. I always love the smell of fresh lemon while cleaning and with Lysol, they never disappoint.

Each spray upon use leaves a fresh smell and cleanliness that was needed. I’m a scent and fragrance junkie and sometimes I use whatever fits my mood. With Lysol, it kills bacteria buildup on almost every surface in your home.

I would recommend Lysol to anyone. You can purchase this at almost any grocery store or wherever you buy home based product.

I purchased this on a whim one day because I love the Lysol brand. It’s amazing! I love the foaming aspect. The smell is not my favorite but its pleasant and I actually liked it a lot at first but as time has passed, it just didn’t grow on me, but I don’t hate it either.

More importantly, it cleans REALLY good. My home is older and we rent, and there are some areas of the bathroom that I’ve literally never been able to get the soap scum up, especially in the sink and around the drains, and this foaming bleach cleaner does the job easily.

I spray and let the foam sit for a few minutes and it wipes off in seconds. The bleach is quite strong, but I prefer stronger bleach cleaners in my home.

Worked great to get the limescale off the perimeter of the sink faucet. It also worked when my husband left a wet metal knife in the metal sink overnight. It rusted and lime-a-away got the rust off the sink! The only thing that kinda sucks is the sprayer leaks when I spray so I feel like I’m wasting product every time.

The name sounds good. I would probably do my best not to let the rust get so bad that you need something extra. Its very difficult to get rust off toilet bowls and other items. This didn’t really seem to help a whole lot although I have other family members who object to that statement and really like this brand.

I don’t see a whole lot of difference between say Clorox and Lime Away. You’d have to be the judge I guess.

We use these disinfecting sprays all the time. None of them smell good, honestly. Non-fragranced would be much better, because the fragrance they put in these really doesn’t cover up the solvent smell it just makes things worse.

We usually wait until we’re about to leave the house for a bit to use them, because the perfumes in them are so strong. With that said, this scent is the absolute worst. It dries and eventually does smell like flowers, which is again much too strong but otherwise not very unpleasant.

Before that happens though, the stench when this has been freshly sprayed is difficult to describe. It’s a bit like scenting the air with dirty urinal cakes. We bought this before the old bottle was out and missed the return window or this would have gone right back after the first spray.

It would be nice if all of these “eco-friendly” brands would stop adding heavy perfumes to absolutely everything, but in the meantime if you’d like to try one of these sprays I’d suggest the citrus. It still stinks, but it stinks so much less than this one.

This is pretty affordable of all the products like it. Unfortunately, we use softened hard water and this still allows streaking. If you have better water, this will work great and it’s only $2. I’m going to go back to the $3.

Clean Shower is a good product to use. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best or the highest score; I would give it an 8. It is gentle enough to use it every day. It is affordable in comparison to other cleansers.

On the advertising, it is supposed to clean mildew stains, prevents soap scum, hard water, and other stains. It does not require a lot of scrubbing, but if helps to use a towel to clean. If the shower is still not really clean and shiny, I will use another product.

That is the reason I gave it an 8/10 score.

One thing I know for certain when it comes to cleaning is finding an effective product that can serve multiple purposes. Not only does this lead to savings in money, but also time. No one wants to schlep 6 different cleaning products to the bathroom each time they need to clean it.

I’m so pleased with this multi-purpose foam cleaner. I have well water. Not only do I have well water but it’s extremely hard water. The hard water stains build up fast in the bathrooms and kitchen sink.

I was very surprised that I could see it working right when I sprayed it on my glass shower doors. I didn’t need to let it set in or scrub it. The hard water stains literally just disappeared as I was spraying.

That right there made me a believer and now I’m hooked. The worst is the ring that the water leaves in my toilet. I normally have to scrub it with pumice stone it builds up so quickly. Again it started working right away on the ring in the toilet bowl.

I now have a bottle in both bathrooms. As well as under the kitchen sink. Even though I clean and dry around it. Somehow hard water stains still form around it. The best part is there is no overwhelming chemical smell.

It’s just a slight pleasant scent.

There is no other “safe” cleaner that will get my tile shower here in the mildew and humidity capital of the east coast of America as clean as this product does. Not an exaggeration. I’ve tried them all (the highly rated SG included) and nothing cleans and keeps away the majority of the mildew consistently like this one.

Also, unlike SG brand, it doesn’t strip the color of my oil rubbed bronze plumbing fixtures! If I simply spray this 1-2x a week on my shower, each month I’m left with only a few small spots of mildew on the grout that I spot treat with Clorox mildew remover (probably areas I missed spraying with Method, usually corners).

Soap scum, gross shower, nope. Method geniuses: this stuff went out of stock a few months ago. I nearly lost my mind every time I got in the shower. Considered the alternative of not showering until it went back in stock, but practically won in the end.

I’m super sensitive to smells, and this doesn’t bother me when I have the vent fan on.

The cleaning tabs themselves I really like. I will need to get used to the fact that the cleaner does not suds when you scrub it but I used it on our bath tub, that was pretty dirty, and let it sit while I cleaned the toilet and sink, it cleaned well with just a bit of scrubbing.

I clean houses for income and I go through a lot of cleaner. I was so tired of throwing away so many plastic bottles! I am so excited to have this as a option. Plus it is much cheaper than the other “green” cleaners I was buying.

My disappointment was that the bottle was plastic. I know you reuse it and it can be recycled at the end of its life but I was just assuming it would be glass because glass is much more recyclable. I kept it anyway rather than go through the hassle of sending it back but I really wish it were glass.

The good: the product so far has been doing a good job of keeping our bathroom tile free of mold and mildew (I spray it on our walls after every shower after I squeegee the tiles) and has a pleasant fresh scent.

The bad: The bottles are awful. The trigger is not ergonomically comfortable to use, especially if you have to squeeze A LOT/frequently to clean a large shower. It also starts honking when you I have to do A LOT of spraying.

The tabs are also too large to fit into the bottle neck, so I need to shove it in there and in the process lose about 5% of the product (or need to sweep it into my hand and dump it into a funnel to add to the bottle – what a PITA).

I purchased 3 sets of these (we have 3 bathrooms) but only opened 1 package and have been trying out 1 bottle. I like the product, but I HATE these bottles.

I’ve had a couple of bottles replaced for breakage and this bathroom set is the first replacement that I’ve received with the new bottle design. It certainly isn’t as attractive or heavy as the original bottles.

I went from a neat bottle that I didn’t mind to leave sitting out on the counter to a regular pink plastic bottle that I just hide under the sink. Very disappointing. I am very happy with the cleaning tablets themselves.

I’m just not very impressed with these newly redesigned “forever bottles”. They look and feel just like a regular cheap plastic bottle… not quite the attractive & unique “forever bottles” that I originally purchased for myself and also gave as gifts.

I feel like you had an edge as an eco cleaning company that also had a beautiful aesthetic. Now, I feel like I just have a lot of refills for an ugly bottle. It’s like you purposely threw away that aesthetic advantage at a time when MANY plant-based alternatives with a focus on sustainability now exist like Dropps and EarthBreeze, etc.

My review is actually for the “Citrus” variety, which unfortunately is not listed as an option on influenster. Scrubbing Bubbles comes through yet again with this Bathroom Grime Fighter spray. This is my favorite bathroom cleaner! Right off the bat, the packaging is eye catching, bright, and fun.

While still being easy to read and understand. The solution itself sprays out very easily and the consistancy is perfect, a bit thicker than water, but not so thick as to be difficult to spray or work around.

The citrus scent is lovely and clean smelling but not overpowering. I spray and let the solution sit for a minute or so before wiping, and it makes it very easy to clean up even tough soap scum. Leaves my porcelain vanity clean and sparkling, also shines stainless steel and does NOT leave streaks.

One pass with a cloth is enough to pick this and all grossness up off whatever surface you are cleaning. I purchase this at least monthly and recommend it to anyone wanting an efficient, affordable, and great smelling bathroom cleaner.

I don’t normally write reviews on products but OMG! This is a GAME CHANGER!! I sprayed it on the grout of the bathroom tile which had visible mold and walked away from it while r cleaning the rest of the apartment.

I circled back around about 20 ish mins after initial spray and it COMPLETELY REMOVED all mold! It just washed away. It gave new life to my tub! My husband said I should have taken before and after pictures because this was a see it to believe it kind of moment.

I didn’t have to get down and scrub I simply rinsed and boom new tub. I now swear by this product I will not be trying anything else. Seriously just try it, spray and walk away for about 15-20 mins and it will do the work for you! There is a bleach smell to it which I personally don’t mind, if you walk away it will dissipate with some time.

This is my favorite foaming cleaner. I use this on my bathtub, shower doors, sinks and toilet. I also use this on my rims on my car and outdoor furniture. The spray is even and bubbles up quickly. The grime and soap scum break up and wash away when rinsing.

I also give a quick scrub. The citrus scent is very pleasant. It kills 99. 9% of viruses and bacteria. Very important to keep my family healthy. I recommend this.

I’ve used this product for years. I’ve tried other brands but prefer the Scrubbing Bubbles. I have a water softener so I can’t attest to rather it cuts through hard water grime easily but it works great on my bathroom sinks, counter tops and tub.

It doesn’t streak or leave any residue behind. I just spray and wipe to clean and sanitize. It leaves behind a fresh, non chemical smelling scent. I do have a complaint though. The can can get rusty on the bottom and from time to time I get one that doesn’t spray correctly and have to return it to the store.

They have improved the can over the years and it seems that there are less problems now.

Don’t even get me started on how great this cleaning product is. Actually do, because everyone needs to know! This cleaning product is SO versatile. I use it in so many ways. one being to clean white shoes! Sounds crazy, but it works.

The bleach itself is great at removing stains or mildew in the bathroom. The problem is the annoying sprayer. The bottle has horrible design. it’s uncomfortable to squeeze and it ended up not working for some reason.

i just had it for 2 weeks. this happened with the previous bottle too. cant believe a million dollar corporation can’t even get something as simple as a spray bottle to work correctly. very frustrating.

While I’m still emptying out a bottle of Up & Up bathroom cleaner from Target, I just dyed my hair and figured I’d try out this one on the mother of all bathroom cleaning tasks: the splatters of Garnier “Blue Curaçao (Bright Intense Indigo)” that inevitably ends up starting up some kind of stain on the walls, vanity counter, floors (I’ve got one of those weird split bathrooms), and tub —maybe also the toilet, and yes, one time even on the ceiling.

Don’t ask how hair dye does what it does, but even if you’ve been colouring your hair for the last 25yrs that I have, you know what it does, and you learn to live with it. Anyway, while nothing can hold a candle to the way that Soft Scrub w/ Bleach will tackle hair dyes of any sort, I’ve been all about sustainability and plastic-free (as far as is practical and practicable) since before it was trendy (I’ve literally been telling people about the un-recyclablity of plastics since 1989, but here we are!) I did the maths, and Grove Co.

is certainly one of the more cost-effective brands that I’ve seen, which holds to the principles of sustainability. What really seals the deal, though? This is tough on hair dye! As an aging goth nancy boy past his prime, that’s the bare minimum test any bathroom cleaner has to pass.

I don’t care about soap scum build-up, or hard water stains, and when it comes to the lime and calcium build-up in the toilet, I’ve been dumping about a third of a bottle of CLR in there for an overnight, since 1993.

If a bathroom cleaner can do hair-dye, I’m giving it a 4:star: or more. I’m giving this the fifth star cos, like I said, it’s cost-effective, plastic-free, and uses sustainable ingredients. I laughed, I cried, it was better than CATS.

Reviewing the lavender blossom thyme under this category as product is not available to review at the moment. I absolutely love this concentrate and if they ever come with a bigger bottle, I’d be happy to buy.

The recommendation is to use 1oz bottle and dissolve into a 16oz water bottle spray but I’m cheap (I’m sorry I can’t help it). I usually dissolve half bottle into my mop bucket with at least 2L (67oz) of water and voila.

It’s been working for me this way. This is not a cheap product, but it is totally worth it… reason why I try to make the most out of it. I have two small children, and I tend to mop my house quite frequently because things can get messy at times… and this product comes in very handy to remove any common stains off the floor, bringing it back that beautiful shine of hardwood floors while spreading an amazing scent (and not at all overpowering) all over my house.

This product won’t let your floor greasy nor sticky, no residues left behind. It is safe for laminate, tiles and finished wood floor because over 90% of this product is plant based. Can’t say enough good things about this product.

I will continue to recommend and will definitely continue to buy it.

It smells horrible. It smells chemical-y, not citrus-y. Maybe that’s the citronella in it, but it’s awful. Despite the scent, I decided to just use it up so as not to waste it. But it doesn’t clean that well either! It leaves a streaky surface, so much that I can’t clean glass and mirrors with it the way I can with other brands of multi-purpose household cleaners (like Method or Meyer’s).

So I now have to buy a second type of cleaner just for mirrors. I am willing to try this product again in another fragrance despite its lackluster cleaning ability, simply because I’m trying to get away from buying plastic and I appreciate what Grove is trying to do here.

I wish the other companies (Method, Meyer’s) would catch on and give us plastic-free refill options, though Method does use recycled plastic. The only other company I’ve seen doing plastic-free is Clean Cult, which I’ll try next, but it is not offered on Grove.

I would not recommend this to a friend and would not order it again.
