I finished up last turkey season with the hook mouth calls. They worked great on flat ground birds, as well as those tough mountain birds. The calls helped me take 3 really nice birds in just a handful of hunts at the end of season.
They really sound great, can be quite, and can also be loud and raspy. Great for tree yelps, purrs, and even cutting. very versatile in volume and tone. My only issue with the calls were there durability.

when i first got this call i thought it was great. sounded good and had a nice rasp to it but it didnt even make it to turkey season. the plastic broke when i tried bending it a little to fit my mouth.

I bought this call not too long ago, about 4 weeks. Definitely easy to use for beginners! The only problem I had with it was after using for those 4 weeks it began to fall apart. Literary everything came undone so it went into the trash.
Absolutely love this call. Makes the most beautiful soft yelps and clucks. Very forgiving call that requires little air. I think this call would be prefect for a beginning caller. Winner.

The first week i owned these calls i was in love. I am an advanced turkey caller and have purchased many mouth calls. The sound of these calls is amazing however it does not take but about 2 to 3 weeks for the reeds to stretch and the tape to split.
The tape splitting took no time, a week into these calls and on all three, the tape has split and makes it very difficult to cut and create pressure with excited yelps. It:s a shame because the tone is perfect for the first week.

Purchased this along with the MeatEater combo pack and all I can say is these calls are of superb quality! What sets them apart from other brands I have tried is the tape. It is extremely flexible and allows for a great seal on the roof of the mouth while the latex reeds produce a great tone with minimal air.

basically the only mouth call I use, because it is bendable to fit roof of mouth. I normally use box or scratch calls till I can see them then I will use the twin ll mouth call. It really is easy to use.
