20 Best Turmeric Face Wash (2022 Updated)

I recently received the Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser from KORA Organics. I have skin on the dry side, with my nose and chin area leaning more towards combination skin. A lot of cleansers I use leave my skin feeling tight or even “stripped” (unless they are specifically for heavy moisturizing, but then some of those don’t feel like they provide a deep enough cleanse).

However, this cleanser is nice because it feels like I’m getting a sufficient cleanse, but since it’s got a lot of hydrating ingredients my skin doesn’t feel tighter after using. I was pleasantly surprised to see that aloe is the first ingredient, which is very soothing for skin.

I also love turmeric since it gives my skin a natural, subtle tint and glow. It has a strong peppermint scent, but it didn’t bother me too much since it fades after rinsing and this cleanser contains clean ingredients.

My skin was left cleansed while still retaining some moisture. I think it’s perfect for morning cleansing in particular and can be used summer or winter since it has hydrating properties. Overall, a nice cleanser that is gentle on skin.

Super important: the peppermint oil scent is strong in this! I’m surprised Kora isn’t emphasizing that aspect more as the scent of peppermint can be very polarizing. You’ll either love or hate the cooling sensation and scent! As for the product, it’s in stunning packaging.

Kora consistently nails this for me: I loved the packaging of the turmeric moisturizer, and this is just as visually appealing (and beautiful glass). If aesthetics are important to you, I think you’ll love this presentation! It’s also wonderful to use.

Very gentle and yet still cleanses the skin thoroughly. It’s awesome to see aloe listed in the ingredients before water, and I think it contributes to the lovely texture of this cleanser. Overall, it’s very well done – but keep that peppermint in mind!.

For as long as I can remember, I have suffered from itchy, burning, dry eczema in the winter months in northern Maine. I have tried numerous (non-prescription) products that have been recommended by doctors with minimal results and improvement at best.

This winter, the same patch of eczema flared up on my leg and I spotted this lotion at a local grocery store. I know the healing properties of neem and turmeric so I said, “why not” and bought it. In only three days with application twice a day, the patch on my leg burns less, does not itch as much and is far less dry and scaley.

The lotion rubs in well and doesn’t leave me feeling oily or greasy. It’s smooth, clean feeling and it smells so natural and nice and best of all, it worked great for my skin.

I am in love with this product. Nothing was working for my skin to clear up my blemishes and I randomly bought this cleanser because I loved the coconut lip balm that I already bought from Alaffia a couple months before (I have bought it many more times).

When I opened the bottle the scent of the cleaner was fantastic just like the lip balm so I was immediately super excited. The cleanser is very gentle while making your skin feel clean and refreshed.

I have combination skin and men though this cleanser is for more sensitive to normal skin it has helped me so much. My skin is less inflamed and my blemishes have been disappearing. I have never been so happy with a cleanser.

I’ve had adult acne and scars for 10 years, and this is the first time I’ve been able to ditch the otc and Rx acne gels/creams for a natural solution. It did slightly burn the first couple times I used it, but it didn’t lead to redness or irritation; I actually saw my huge hormonal breakout clear up within a couple days, and my scars are fading (woo!).

I have sensitive, dry, acne-prone skin, so depending on the weather, I’ll balance this with the Coconut Reishi Night Cream for added moisture, while the Neem Turmeric takes care of the blemishes. Part of me would love a larger size bc I love this product, but the 3 oz is so convenient to throw into a suitcase to travel, and a little goes a long way.

My face looks clear, healthy, and nourished, the neem is helping my eyebrows come in fuller, and I will definitely be ordering again. Thank y’all!.

I wanted to try out a new cleansing balm because I’ve been using the same one for awhile and got bored. Unfortunately, this product was not it for me. The glass container is beautiful and I like the color and smell of the balm- but that’s the only redeeming qualities for me.

The scent is pleasant because I like ginger and essential oils – but it was a bit too strong and irritated my sensitive skin. The function of the product was the most disappointing part. It was nice at first to lather on, but it did not take off my eye makeup and left a sticky residue after rinsing with warm water- even after towel drying! Maybe the makeup would come off more easily when using a wash cloth, but other cleansing balms don’t usually require that.

I wanted to love this product, but besides the aesthetically pleasing packaging and the citrusy earthy smell- using this product once was enough for me to decide to return it. If you have sensitive skin, prone to breakouts, and don’t like residue on your face after cleansing- I would try a different product.

I might try Farmacy Green Clean for another new one to try, or I will just go back to my tried and true product- Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet cleansing balm. It takes off all my makeup and does not irritate my skin.

I have tried many oil/balm products over the year with no success. This is the first one I have used that was effective and really enjoyable to use. It’s a thick balm that spreads easily on the skin.

It emulsified when you add water. It takes off all my makeup with no irritation. I wear very little. Mostly sunscreen and mascara. It doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes at all. It has a lovely smell as well.

It also claims to have some exfoliating acids which I was surprised at. Not sure how well those work in such a short time. However, my combo skin was very dehydrated and dry before starting TB and my first products were this cleanser and the renew cleanser and my skin completely changed in just a couple days.

No more flakes or dryness. It’s just soft and smooth. I was hesitant to try this balm because of my previous experiences but am so glad I did. For reference, I have combo skin that was oily most of my life.

Used to be prone to breakouts very easily. I have not experience any irritation or breakouts with these products.

In all fairness, the chance to write this review is happening before I contact customer service. I just started using the product last week, trying it out in a tiny pea-sized amount every other wash since I have somewhat sensitive skin.

The first time I used it, I fell in love. Smooth skin, make up gone, very hydrated. However, after using it the 3rd or 4th time, spots started appearing on my cheeks and neck area—almost like a burn.

I thought nothing of it the first time I saw them, but now I’m sure it’s from the product. They almost look like little charred areas of skin where it was just too potent for my skin to handle. I stopped using it last night and already today they look better, but not yet gone completely.

I need to contact customer service/beauty adviser to discuss.

I bought this because I have fairly sensitive skin, and so far this has been doing fine. It doesn’t dry my face out, but one would still need to apply a moisturizer accordingly. I will purchase again.

Neutrogena! I want to start this review by saying I have used a few other products through you guys and they were decent too, but, I’ve only been using this specific line for a few days and already see a big difference! Especially with the moisturizer, most moisturizers claim to be light-weight when they really aren’t and end up making acne worse but this one truly is light-weight! When it dries down/absorbs into my skin I don’t feel that awful layer laying on top of my face like with other lines I’ve used.

Also, most moisturizers also cause my skin to be red after applying but this one doesn’t do that. The smell is quite nice and refreshing. The cleanser, so far, is just equally as great as the moisturizer.

The only reason I gave this review 4 stars is because for 1, I have only been using this line for a very short amount of time and for 2, I was slightly disappointed that this line didn’t come with an exfoliating scrub, exfoliating scrubs are a necessity for me and I think if you guys made one for this line it would be amazing! Other than that this is a very impressive line right off the bat, would also like to add I’m not one to leave a review hardly ever but it this stuff seriously did impress me that much!.

I tried this for the 1st time a month ago while visiting a friend in another state. And was very disappointed to see that itd been discontinued by the time I made it home & wanted it for myself. Thank goodness for eBay! Ive been using it for a few days now and I couldnt be more pleased.

The foam comes out thick and rich, making lathering my face super simple. I use a silicon face brush along with it and the results have been immaculate. My skin feels incredibly smooth & calm after cleansing.

Its also been fading my acne marks w/such ease, I barely use any other product in my beauty routine for that now. I just love it!.

I bought this when I needed a moisturizer that was small enough to take on a plane but didn’t cost an arm and a leg. At first glance I thought this was a cleanser, but when I actually looked, saw that it was a moisturizer and was immediately intrigued.

I have oily skin and have been reading lately that gel products could be better than cream. I only use this at night right now, as I don’t yet have a separate sunscreen to wear during the day, but I love the way this feels on my skin, especially after I use facial masks; it’s very cooling and soothing and just feels wonderful.

I love the scent, though it may be strong for those who are sensitive. I haven’t noticed much difference in my skin, but it definitely feels good.

Usually I swear by Neutrogena but this one in particular was a miss for me. I was hoping to have at least some benefit from this seeing as it has turmeric in it, but I was pretty disappointed to see that this did nothing that it claimed.

It didn’t break down my makeup at all, was super sticky and left my face feeling like I had a peel off mask on it, and it burned my eyes every time. I received a full sized bottle of Neutrogena Soothing Clear Turmeric Jelly Makeup Remover as a sample in exchange for my honest review so here it is. Let me start off by saying I’m a makeup remover fan(if that’s a thing.

Like all makeup wearers we know there are some better than others. Also, I’m not sure if this makeup remover is meant for foundation or if it’s meant for removing all makeup including eye makeup. I wear heavy black eye makeup and no foundation so yep you guessed it I used it on my eyes:) The fragrance is nice but SUPER strong.

I’m not sensitive to smells per se but I definitely think it could be toned down. So I applied the remover as instructed and wiped as instructed. Definitely made my makeup come off but for the lashes I had to really work at it and ended up using a makeup wipe to finish taking it off.

A little goes a long way. I will most likely use this product until it’s gone but would not buy it. Very happy to have tested this product. I am a Neutrogena fan.

Let me start by explaining, I do not typically wear a full face of makeup. But I do wear eye makeup, and concealer. I also wear waterproof mascara most days because I live in FL. It is hot and you never know when you’ll end up in a pool, at the beach or just sweating makeup off.

With that said, I tried the remover first with just the tips of my fingers, like the directions said you can do. This got the eye shadow off with ease but the eye liner and mascara were still very present.

I scrubbed a little harder and it just moved everything around. I had raccoon eyes, so I rinsed with water and tried again with my microfiber face scrub and the makeup remover. When you combine the two it did come off easily.

Better than my typical face wash would do alone. Overall, I really like this product. It was gentle on my skin, it had minimal scent and was very easy to use, but you will need a cloth of some sort to help get the makeup off.

It’s the best product I’ve found so far for makeup remover.

Oh my gosh….this face wash is incredible!! It felt like rubbing velvet on my face. It went on very smooth. My face was left feeling very soft and taut. You will not be disappointed with this one.

This was actually my free gift and I must say being unfamiliar with what it was I probably would not have ordered but I am SO SO glad to have it and I love to smoothness it left my skin. The gel was not gritty and felt so good going on.

I love the other Himalaya Purifying Neem wash but I noticed lately that it has artificial colors so I looked for an alternative and I saw this one. It’s really nice that this has clean, organic ingredients! Love the aromatic, earthy smell! It deeply cleans, but my skin felt tight after wash (even quick wash) so I have to use a lot of moisturizer.

I have sensitive, oily skin, but it might work better for you.

I’ve been using this product as my main face wash for a few years now. Every now and then, I’ll try out a new one. But nothing else feels as refreshing, cleansing, and balanced as this one. It cleans off all my make-up, a little goes a long way, and doesn’t leave my skin too dry.

A nice gentle, calming and non-drying face wash. You only need a tiny amount as it lathers up really well. Initially I was ultra aware of the fragrance (think citrus, ginger, rose) because it does linger but after a couple of uses I decided I really liked it and regarded it is kind of comforting.

I decided this was too drying after all. So ,as down to using a rice grain sized amount to avoid dryness! It’s that product needs to be reformulated to more dilute concentration. A nice product must try it.

With the benefits of cucumber, aloe vera, and turmeric present in the cleanser, it helps in preventing and treating acne and hyperpigmentation while keeping the skin cool. This turmeric cleanser from Mamaearth also helps in brightening the skin.

I saw advertising and think let’s try this product. Hereby I stated my own personal opinion in first time use a lot of quantity is coming from tube as I guess it was like gel but no it’s good non sticky type and smells also good.

I am slowly trying to move away from chemicals and leaning more towards organic or natural lifestyle. I was looking for such a face wash and came across this product and read rave reviews about it. I ordered it to see if it suited my skin.

I chose the one with the silicon brush. The bristles are soft and not tough on the skin. I used it once and felt a difference. I am not the one to be easily impressed, but this one was really bang on.

I REALLY like the facewash. The post wash aroma lingers for some time. I have an oily skin and I felt like my face was actually clean after a long time. I would recommend it to friends and family.

I choose to buy Ubtan Face wash because of its list of natural ingredients. I am found of such natural products for healthcare and in daily use cosmetics. I am glad that I get the same quality in most of the Wow products.

The prices are a bit high but worth it if the ingredients are more natural and harsh-free. Overall I love the product as I am using it daily. I can feel the difference in my skin.

I wanted to like this product so badly! My skin isn’t especially temperamental, though I do live in a very dry climate. A friend recommended Philosophy Purity – I’m a sucker for trying new products, and the price point was good, so I bought myself a bottle.

I loved the scent and the texture, and it made my skin feel dewy and soft after using it. Unfortunately, after about a week, I started breaking out like never before. My skin isn’t especially breakout prone, but I’ll get some stress or hormone induced breakouts every once in a while.

They’re small and manageable, and clear up quickly. This was different. This was huge, red, painful cystic acne that I had never experienced (not even in my teenage years). I know – skin takes time to adjust to new products, so I stuck with it.

It got worse. After 8 weeks, my face was an absolute mess. I know breakouts can happen for a lot of reasons, but I’m certain it was the face wash. I didn’t change any of my other products, no more stress than usual, nothing else notable.

I finally got fed up and switched to Dermalogica glycolic cleanser (another brand I had never used before) – my skin cleared up within a week. I wanted to like this product so badly, and it sounds like it’s great for some folks – but yikes! Never again.

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. I have found my new face wash! I love the Neutrogena pink grapefruit foaming wash because it does a good job of cleaning off my makeup but even when I use a white towel to dry my face, there is still some residue.

Also, the salicylic acid probably really dries out my face (I don’t have acne, I just like how well it washes off my makeup). The first thing I noticed about the Philosophy turmeric wash is its smell.

It’s not too bad but it definitely smells like a spice. I’m partial to scents and prefer fruity scents. So I already told myself that I’d knock off a star for the scent. I washed my face and in the white towel test, there was absolutely no residue.

The wash is thick and viscous, almost like a lotion texture, it didn’t get soapy or sudsy so I was afraid that it wouldn’t do a good job washing off my makeup. After using it, my face isn’t immediately dry (I have very dry skin) but feels lightly moisturized.

I did also notice that my skin tone is a little more even. Overall, for the results of slight moisturized but clean skin, I am giving this 5 stars despite the odd scent. It doesn’t smell like anything once you wash it off so it really amounts to more of an inconvenience; however, that inconvenience is offset by the skin toning, moisturizing and completely clean benefits.

I highly recommend this face wash and will be using it routinely moving forward.

I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I love philosophy’s products and the regular Purity made simple cleanser is a staple in my shower, so I was very excited to try this for the first time.

I have sensitive, acne prone skin. Because I was on camera all day for Zoom, I wore a full face of make up and sunscreen and finally after 13 hours of lecturing, got to take it off. I used this as a new part of my nightly routine.

I used Clinique’s take the day off balm for my first cleanse and used this as my second cleanser in the shower. It has a gentle haldi/turmeric smell, not overpowering at all. The texture is silky and thick.

I didn’t use too much, maybe the size of a dime, and worked it into my skin using my hands for about 3 minutes. I could feel the gunk coming out of my pores and a nasty pimple on my chin that has been bugging me fell out, so that was good.

It has a nice lather and rinsed off completely without leaving a film or residue. My skin felt clean and fresh, and not tight or stripped dry. I am very curious to see how this works with my Foreo Luna Mini.

After my shower, I followed up with my usual nightly skin care. I am quite sure my skin will be happy tomorrow morning. This is a lovely product, I would definitely purchase it. The 8 ounce bottle is generously sized, I can see this lasting for quite a while before having to replace it.

This is cool product. This product contains all natural products like turmeric powder and saffron which helps to remove your tan. It is paraben free and it doesn’t irritate your skin. Before you use this product remember to do patch test.

I recommend this product to ewho have tan. And I personally used this for 2 weeks for tan removal. I love this product ❤️.

I really like this mask and foam cleanser! I use the cleanser combined with the face oil, then rinse with water and rub the foam all over my face and decolletage area and instantly feel and look refreshed! The mask ingredients are great and the brush that comes with it makes the application really smooth and easy.

Felt really nice on and once dried, washed off easily with warm water. Skin felt really nice after with applying some moisturizer after. Finished with essential oils for a skin repair and hydration lock in, leaving me radiant throughout.

I really enjoyed the whole skin care process.

I love this turmeric facial kit. I ordered it after an especially bad hormonal breakout. It is moisturizing and does not cause any issues for my sensitive and pimple prone dry skin. My skin is quite fair and pink and this also helps with redness.

I am 38 and have a greatvlove affair with good skin care products. This one is on the top of my list. I didn’t love the strong turmeric smell at first but I love what turmeric does for my face so I kept using it and now I dont even notice the smell.

The cleanser is so gentle yet deep cleaning. It has noticeably made my pores smaller. The facail serum is light and soothing.

I have been battling mask-ne for a long time now, and this has helped reduce breakouts by a lot!!! I’m not sure what other people are doing to call it too rough, maybe putting it on their face without wetting it first? Yes, there is A LOT of heavy, gritty sugar in it, but if you wet your face and hands first, you get the benefit of a scrub and the sugar melts away as you scrub your face.

By the time I’m done the sugar chunks have melted. It’s the perfect amount of exfoliation and my chin is looking normal again. I’m so impressed with the smell, grit, and results. And for the price with how much you get, totally worth it.

I was trying a bunch of different exfoliating cleansers but they all had these tiny beads that hardly did anything or I would only get a small amount of beads so there would literally be no exfoliation.

This stuff is definitely good if you want to get a good scrub on without being harsh.

I am a BIG fan of the body scrubs~~ after trying the sacred Moroccan Rose, I became a collect-them-all type of person~~ they do what I what them to do, smell great and are at a wildly competitive price point for how much you get, so I thought why not try some of their other products? This Blueberry Turmeric face scrub became my first test stepping out (but not too far out) of Tree Hut’s comfort zone.

I will say, like the body scrubs, this one is *quite* gritty, I dare say even a little more so than the body scrubs so you would have to like that for your face~~ me personally, I love a good gritty scrub for the face because some of these frou-frou ones out there are too microbead-y~~ weak and don’t do squat.

I want to *feel* the exfoliation, ya feel me? and you definitely will with this. I would compare it a bit to feeling like the popular St. Ives Apricot Scrub, if you’ve ever used that, except this one’s not creamy.

And the smell~~ oh lawdy, can we talk about the smell!? In a good way! Oh my goodness~~ it is a deliciously light but gorgeous sweet scent of blueberries mixed with something else~~ maybe a hint of floral? I don’t know~~ it’s hard to describe, but it leaves your face feeling and smelling like you just stepped out of a spa~~ and the scent lingers for quite awhile afterwards too, which I think is a plus! All in all, I say for the price point and the amount you get, mixed with all of the other pros above~~ Tree Hut has found itself another winner here!!😍 I bought the Watermelon face one too, so I can’t wait to try that as well!.

I’m late 30s with sensitive skin that’s dry in the winter, oily in summer, and spontaneously breaks out just for the chaos. I like manual exfoliation a few times a week or whenever I have dry skin. My usual face scrub is Freeman Black Sugar and Charcoal but I’d like trying new things and haven’t seen many sugar face scrubs (they’re mostly microbeads that do nothing or overly harsh exfoliants that don’t break down at all).

This scrub smells like blueberry syrup, definitely an artificial fragrance and it does linger on skin for a while but I like it. The sugar chonks are on the larger side, similar to what’s in the Tree Hut body scrub, but they break down easily when rubbed on skin.

I haven’t seen a difference in my skin with this but it’s only one product, I haven’t been using it long, and I haven’t seen any negative reactions so I’ll take it! :).

I really enjoyed my time with this polish! I used it every Wednesday for my ‘exfoliation day’, I got about 5 uses from this little tube. I really enjoyed the scent of it – most scrubs I use are fragrance-free (which is boring to me) this one smelled like an herbal oasis that I really looked forward to using.

The medium that the exfoliation beads were suspended in was an emollient, as well as provided for a complete refreshing feel. The actual exfoliates were larger-sized particulates that really did an excellent job of scrubbing away any dead skin excessive oils.

My face both felt looked better after using this.

This is my favorite face scrub!! I was skeptical at first by the name “illuminating” I didn’t really know what that meant, especially as a dark skinned Black women, often time glowing skin was often marketed to me as a characteristic of having light or white skin.

Other products I tried before were clearly gimmicks, relying on white models and good lighting to make the products seem to work. But this product actually works, after i gently scrub my skin with it, I see my skin absorb all the moisture, and literally illuminate from the inside out, my pore close up and the texture of my skin is vastly improve (smoother, softer, supple, tight, fades my acne scar).

The turmeric is anti-inflammatory, so unlike other face scrubs that can cause red irritation on the skin, this gentle walnut exfoliant calms the skin down and does not irritate at all. That is the power of the illuminating glow, it comes from the health of your skin improving with healing ingredients.

This product does that for me. As long as I can afford this product and it works for my skin, I will be buying it!.

My favorite facial scrub! I originally got a free sample in my Ipsy bag. I used it all and loved this stuff so much that I’ve repurchased it twice. and that doesn’t happen a lot for me. It’s simply a good, deep scrub.

Some say it’s too rough and for them, it may be. But I enjoy a good physical exfoliator…this stuff is perfect for me!.

Kovo purports that CBD offers “antioxidant, anti-sebum and anti-inflammatory benefits” which can assist with inflammation and dryness. While the research on CBD isn’t fully robust (bc federal laws had previously made it difficult for scientists to pursue research in this area), I can anecdotally confirm that CBD skincare tends to reduce inflammation to my skin (which, for me, is usually caused by allergies or acne).

When I tried this cleanser for the first time, I didn’t realize there were exfoliating beads in it and I was confused bcI thought that that went against their pro-environment message, as microbeads are bad when they enter our waterways (in fact, some states have banned them).

I did some research and learned that jojoba beads are biodegradable, so in actuality, this cleanser does line up with their mission. Overall I really enjoyed this cleanser. I thought it was super gentle, great for use in the morning as a single cleanser, and good on my sometimes-sensitized skin.

I also really appreciate that their products are cruelty-free.

I’ve got really dry skin, and I found this hydrating cleanser to be exactly that: hydrating! It’s a super nice cleanser that left my face feeling soft and hydrated instead of tight, like most cleansers do to my skin.

The packaging is really nice on this and all of the Kovo Essentials products that I received. I’m thoroughly impressed! I’ll be using this until it’s empty, then I’ll cry lol. I highly recommend this cleanser, especially if you have dry skin and are having trouble finding a cleanser that doesn’t completely dry out your skin every time you wash it!!.

My first time trying this new cleanser from Kovo. I’m not surprised at how awesome it is as I am a huge fan of their other products. This cleanser lathers up beautifully and leaves your face feeling clean and SOFT.

Does not dry your skin. The smell is like summer to me. fresh and clean. I wish there was also a body wash from Kovo. This smells so good!.

This face scrub is really lovely. Not too harsh, but gentle enough to make a difference,and at the same time feeling the gentle coarseness. I use it nightly as its so gentle, and follow it with Ayumi face cream.

I can really feel and see a difference in the smoothness of my skin. Just love it! The price is much lower than other scrubs. Would definitely recommend this scrub, plus the delivery time was fast.

I’m very happy with this cream, it smells very fresh (I think of eucalyptus) and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized but without a feeling the greasiness that most face creams leave. I use pure Neem oil for cosmetics and I know it has a very unpleasant scent – you can’t sense this at all in this cream, so I guess you get all of its positives with none of the negatives.

I bought this product after receiving a free sample of it on the Healthy magazine and loving the sample, it is very light and moisturises well. I also LOVE the smell it reminds me of lemongrass, it is a very light scent and not overpowering.

For the price I think this is excellent value for money and will definitley purchase again, time will tell whether it moistures as well come winter when my skin is drier.

I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks, but I’ve noticed a difference already in terms of my skin looking and feeling smoother. This feels and smells wonderful. I always leave cleansers on my face a minute or two before rinsing, but I’ve never noticed any improvement so quickly in a cleanser.

Love this product I’ve been using it for almost two weeks and can tell it’s already making a big difference in my skin. My dark spots are starting to fade. A tiny drop goes a long way and my skin has never felt cleaner.

This face wash is amazing guys. I have oily skin. Every now and then my face breaks out. I am not jocking guys. This face wash does wonders. I use it two times daily, after waking up in the morning and before going to bed.

For every oily skin acne prone beauties I will recommend this facewash.
