20 Best Turntable For Sampling (2022 Updated)

Honestly, I’ve always paid for quality. But seeing that pioneer made these, I figured it would be a great 2nd set for me (I used horrible numarks starting off with – not a choice) instead of technics.

The internal sound card was a big plus, and the fact that they were under warranty is always a plus to me as far as fixing things go. Let me stop here though, because I’ve had nothing but TROUBLE with these.

The Start/Stop button has went out on me on 2 different brand new turntables! and guitar center does not care that you’re a working DJ. they do nothing to get you the turntable on time. This is the absolute worst piece of equipment I’ve paid decent money for, and I refuse to recommend these to anyone.

Lastly, If you buy these after reading this – you will regret it, and you will wish you listened to these reviews. I am using the warranty to get this one fixed, and I will be selling them to buy technics.

I received this turntable for my birthday after specifically asking for this brand. I sold your products for a wireless phone carrier and always promoted this company because I was impressed with their sound quality.

However, after receiving this turntable you’ve lost my support and my business. I will be returning it for a full refund. First off, there were ZERO instructions on how to set it up. Being a first time turntable user, I had no idea how to properly set it up.

Second, after watching hours of YouTube videos I finally got it set it up properly but it still doesn’t work correctly. I constantly have to readjust the belt around the spindle. For example I just listened to an album.

I had to adjust the belt around the spindle before playing because it wasn’t spinning around at the proper speed. I readjusted the belt and it worked fine. I removed that album and immediately put on another album.

Same issue. Wasn’t spinning at an equal speed. Had to remove the album and take the belt off and apply it around spindle again. This keeps happening. On a regular basis. I am fed up and beyond annoyed.

This doesn’t help considering I was so annoyed with the lack of set up instructions. You’ve lost my business. I will be returning this and the Bluetooth speaker for a full refund!.

Sweet kit for sure. Very well packed by TTL, and quick delivery once got by the 4 day processing time. Sounds fabulous, even sending via my BT transmitter to wireless speaker. Not HIFI I know, but functional where this table lives.

Build quality superb, table has an elegant look. makes momma happy as in living room. Small gripe, cueing lever in awkward spot in relation to tonearm lock, too close to it. I also like a little more cue damping then this has, but kinda typical for AT tables I’ve owned.

Is still adequate, no needle slams! HIGHLY recommended.

Sound: The sound is what I expected. This cartridge sounds very good in all turntables I’ve heard it with. The tonearm does a great job of interfacing it to the vinyl. Features: This isn’t a feature laden turntable, but it’s not meant to be.

I want a quality turntable without a lot of fluff to get in the way of listening to the music. Ease of Use: Very easy to use. The only thing was the power switch on the back threw me for a loop. The instructions are pictures only.

Quality: It’s well made. No issues there. Value: It’s well worth the $300 it cost. Manufacturer Support: Never dealt with them directly. The Wow Factor: It sounds great and looks good. Overall: The table was easy to setup.

I recommend getting a protractor and scale because the cartridge wasn’t aligned and the stylus weight wasn’t accurate on the counterweight. With the calibrated scale reading 2 grams the weight showed 2.

5 grams. I also recommend getting a quality turntable preamp. The one built in is ok, but try flipping the switch and plugging it into a decent preamp and listen to the difference when you can adjust the gain right to the edge of overload then backing off.

It increases the dynamics and makes the music much more lively. The table is well built with quality components. The Audio Technica green elliptical stylus does a great job. The tone arm is very well made.

I really like this turntable and have zero regrets buying it.

Bought this unit to replace an old Pioneer turntable which was having trouble maintaining an accurate speed. The AT has a DC motor with a built in speed controller. So, hopefully, this should no longer be a problem.

All around great Turntables. Sturdily built platters, with a strong motor, all while having the ingenuity to add those mini pads is amazing. Reloop definitely came to play with this unit. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been searching for an affordable, good quality turntable for 4 years that I could connect to my CD player system. I’m not very technical minded but the set up and connection was fairly easy. The instructions that came with it weren’t particularly helpful but a friend found some YouTube guides which were much better.

With the help of those I did it quite quickly. The turntable does more than I need but I just liked the quality look and colour of this particular model. The sound is amazing and I’m now looking to expand my vinyl collection.

My reasons for buying from Richer Sounds was for two reasons; firstly they were recommended by a friend who is very technically minded and secondly theirs was the best price on this product. Packaging of the product was good with no damage and it was delivered on the day that I asked for.

The AT-LPW50PB is my original pick before we notice LP5X, choosing direct drive or belt drive is always a debate. Glad that B&H is short of their stock on LP5X, it makes me a lot easier to go with LPW50PB, lol.

The straight carbon-fiber tonearm is amazing, at least feeds my aesthetics. The black piano finishing surface is nice and clean. The overall looking is undoubtedly firm and gorgeous. Talk about the operation and sound.

Even though it’s a fully manual TT, the initial calibration and play are super easy. It always makes me feel good to make my music by hand. The sound is perfect to me (I accompany the TT with a Marshall Stanmore II).

The service of B&H is top-notch, the online order pick-up only takes a couple of minutes. Glad they have a free parking lot for customers!.

The LP3 has reminded me about the unique magic of enjoying vinyl. Having grown into the habit of playing records on my 1210 mk2s since the mid 90s I had forgotten about the buzz of placing a record on the platter & simply letting it play from groove to groove & just listening.

I’d been receiving consistent requests to set up a turntable in the living room but the footprint of a 1210 mk2 in a flight case is substantial, so I conceded to purchase a more domestic solution. While immediately drawn to the idea of purchasing a cheaper ‘1210 clone’ I soon realized that such a pursuit is foolishness & will ultimately disappoint so balancing needs against budget the LP3 seemed like a good compromise.

I was also intrigued & slightly uncertain about returning to the world of belt drive travel but have to say I have not been disappointed. At this price point there are obvious compromises which offset the slick lines & general design of the LP3, mainly in the form of slightly clunky button action among the selection, playback controls & a vintage clumsiness of the automatic engagement.

But the tonearm quality is very pleasing with calibrated weight & anti skate to accommodate cartridge upgrades. Slightly baffled by the lack of a clamp for the arm rest but not a deal breaker. Playback is smooth, initial set up was easy & great for nerdy HiFi enthusiasts.

There is no question this is an entry level number in Hi Fi terms but pretty competent even for seasoned users like myself & I’m sure many might agree that there is no price for the absolute pleasure of rediscovering vinyl as a genuine listening source rather than an occupational format or vintage headache :).

I bought this to replace a bush turntable my wife bought me as a birthday gift a few years back but i never got used to. some of my records played fine but others did not and setting the tone arm was tricky.

so frustrated one evening i bought the audio technic LP3 and i am glad I did. it arrived and felt and looked better than my previous turntable. the set up is easy and the instruction understandable and come with illustration (though their are plenty of YouTube videos to show you how).

I connected it to my amp and pressed “start” and it landed on the record smoothly and accurately and the sound was clear, crisp and I can hear the bass and treble tones and this using a cheap amp. After it finished, it smoothly and accurately returned to its resting place.

I have been collecting vinyl since I was a child and missed playing my records and now I can play them and hear them the way they are supposed to be heard. Aesthetically, it looks amazing and before buying I read all the i reviews and I could not find a single bad review.

I am really looking to many years of enjoyment from this turntable and its ignited an interest in building a hi-fi system with a cd player, dab radio and an amp with headset output and possible blue tooth or wifi.

I really, cant recommend this turntable enough.

Having ordered the rega planar deck and trying it for 1 day before returning it hassle free I changed to the LP3. This I find the superior product. Don’t underestimate the simplicity of automatic cueing and more importantly the ability to change speeds at the touch of a button.

The Rega Planar meant the manual adjustment of the belt drive by moving the belt drive to a different setting. It’s delicate like an elastic band waiting to break and it’s awkward to refit. I like to play 45 and 33 so the belt is an accident waiting to happen.

I’m more than happy with the solid build quality and the sound is better on the LP3. Well worth the extra £20.

I was in the market for a record player to convert my vinyl collection to digital MP3s. I got a good deal on this record player! We purchased a Journey record player for our niece a while back. We got a discount code from the Journey purchase which worked on this Profesional Series USB purchase.

By using this code, I was unable to get a free promotional record holder with my purchase — disappointed but understandable. After the record player was delivered, it was very easy to set up with the instructions.

But I soon found out the record player had a couple of problems. First, the lock mechanism for the tonearm was broken. It came with a twist-tie and I thought that would work for me. Then I found out the lever to raise and lower the tonearm was also broken.

So, I contacted Victrola support and they helped me through these problems and had me using the included software to start converting my vinyl collection to digital MP3s in no time! Victrola’s support was great and made this purchase experience EXCELLENT! I would recommend Victrola for anyone in the market for a record player! With the USB port and the software, I was able to listen to the records using my computer’s speakers.

Connecting to a Bluetooth speaker was very easy also. I like the weighted counter-weight, it was useful when playing some older records. The optical strobe effect is neat but only seemed to work with my 45s.

The strobe light did not show the proper speed for my 33s. The record player seemed to play my 33s, 45s, and 78s at the proper speed right out of the box without any adjustments, but having the pitch/speed control is nice to have.

The record player also has an anti-skating knob that I did not have to use, but having that control is again nice to have. Don’t forget to register your record player for a free needle!.

shipping carton had holes punched in it, interior carton side pushed in. record player not damaged. the turntable platter has scratches in the aluminum top and along the strobe side. outher wise ok. suprised that it does not require a ground lead no hum what so ever, played on input 1 tracking works ok, set counter weight to 2.

5 grams counter weight right on the mark. when you look at the bracket that holds the cartage. the back end is really close to the record. but no problem. the unit is quite heavy, the quartz lock ok.

if you look at the audio technica AT-LP120XUSB for $249. 00 look almost the same. but for the money the Victroa is a decent value.

I think this is a really nice turntable that produces good, clear sound. Maybe an audiophile could tell it’s not a $5,000 model, but I am perfectly happy with it. I have it paired with the Denon M-41 mini system and use it to play my vinyl from the ’60s – ’80s.

It sounds great, seems well-built, and is easy to operate.

I bought this deck for home use, as it has three switchable speeds and a detachable headshell for different cartridges. It works really well, although I doubt I will use any of the DJ features; be careful not to run it backwards! I wasn’t sure if the onboard phono stage would be any good, but it is good enough that you don’t have to worry about having an amplifier with disc input or a freestanding phono stage to cater for the low outputs from cartridges.

This model doesn’t come with a pre-fitted cartridge, which is okay, but there is no alignment protractor to set one up. These are available on the Audio-Technica website, but be sure you print the correct one at the correct size.

This might not be a problem if you use a dedicated DJ cartridge (eg Ortofon Concorde) which fits straight on, although I haven’t tried one of these.

My original purchase was back in March of 2020. I liked the it so much, that I bought an additional unit in July, 2020. Even thought I am a far cry from being a DJ, I enjoy tinkering with the vast array of features that this model offers.

The fact that I am able to adjust the tonearm’s balance and anti-skate. I have read many reviews where people purchasing vinyl and are experiencing skipping issues. Guess what, not with this turntable.

I use the back and forward feature when pinpointing a particular area of a record that is creating a distracting pop in the audio. I utilize the pitch control so I do not cause damage to the stylus. The ability to control the platter’s motion with the Stop and Start dials is a very practical feature.

You are in control. I would highly recommend the AT_LP1240USB XP Edition. It’s heavy, solid, and built with the audiophile in mind. Which I might add, I am gradually turning into.

This is a very well-designed table, and some nice improvement over the Technics SL1200 MK2 from a functional standpoint. HOWEVER, it’s not for audiophiles, nor for serious actual club use. If you tap on the body of the table, the vibration goes right through to the cartridge and sounds like a bass hit.

Which means that it’s not isolated as much as a 1200, and bass will be affected due to feedback through the table body. I have a silicone rubber mat on the platter right now, not sure if cork would improve it more.

I’ve owned 2 1200’s since the early ’80s for DJing, and I bought the AT table for my audiophile rack. I would look elsewhere if I were buying this again. Shame, it’s a fantastic table with nice features otherwise.

I bought this as a gift for myself and I am delighted with it. The sound is incredible and it looks really smart. The only reason it isn’t a 5 star review is because the arm doesn’t automatically return to the rest at the end of the record.

The only thing I don’t like is the rubber feet on the turntable are not very good a reducing vibrations (from both the sub and just walking around) so this creates a vibration feedback. Headphone listening is perfect, but you’ll need to plan out placement if this is going to be connected to a speaker system.

Get yourself a pre-amp. The built in one is fine but the signal is a lot quieter when compared to having a dedicated one. Also, love the tone arm attachment for the cartridge, compare to my last table, to which I was too afraid to get an upgraded cartridge.

It greatly increases my confidence in being able to install a new one. So one I find better table feet, Definately getting a new cartridge to try out! Also, this table just looks a million times better than my previous 2.

First one I had was also audio technica, but was one of those very basic non-upgradeable tables that looks like a chunk of plastic. Sounded and operated fine. But I wanted to try more. Next on I got was upgradeable and sounded fine.

But the build quality wasn’t trustworthy and I hated the look. It was this matte black body with gaudy looking gold accents. So I’m quite happy with how modern and sleek this table looks.

I have a very large vinyl collection, and a nice set of STAX L300 headphones (*ahem* earspeakers) that I wished to pair with a decent turntable. Wanting to play my old records once more, I decided to make this my Christmas gift to myself.

sorry audiophile guys :P) Everything’s upgradable The price! I was expecting to pay closer to $600 for something like this. Cons: There’s no auto-return for the tonearm the speed selection knob is kinda crappy (the sleeve with the marker on mine fell off first day and I had to superglue it back on) I wish there was a USB output so I could rip my more rare vinyls to FLAC.

After all, I can’t carry the turntable everywhere I go! In all, at $350 anyone looking to buy an inexpensive turntable really ought to give this a serious look. 9/10 on my end!.

In this price range, you will have a hard time finding a better sounding, easier to use, upgradeable turntable like this one. We cant wait to buy new cartridges so we can start experimenting! We connected this to a new Marantz Series 30, which has a really good quality turntable stage.

The only reason Im not giving it a solid 5 stars is that we are having a tough time stopping it from picking up resonance despite using weights and building a new low resonance gear stand for it. The wood body seems to transmit some resonance, and we may need to invest in stabilizers.

If we have to put stabs under it, that will probably increase our cost by about $150. Truthfully the resonance issue is not BAD, but it is noticeable if you lightly tap your rack or the player. We have the VTA fairly close to large Klipsch floorstanding speakers, so there may be occasional resonance feedback.

Das einrichten geht gut und einfach von der Hand ob mit oder ohne Anleitung, die auch alles gut und verständlich Darstellt. Der erste Testlauf, ließ dann meine letzten Zweifel verschwinden, denn der Klang des mitgelieferten Standard Tonabnehmers ist absolut ausreichend und Gut.

Schöne harmonische Bässe und ausgewogen in den Höhen. Wenn da jetzt noch ein hochwertiger Tonabnehmer zum Einsatz kommt, dann möchte ich nicht wissen wie Klasse der Dreher dann erst klingt. Ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Die Digitalisierung via USB ist nicht ganz simpel mit der mitgelieferten Software Audacity. Ich kannte Audacity schon und wusste, dass das Programm zwar sehr mächtig, aber auch recht unübersichtlich ist.

Wem das zu kompliziert ist, findet im Netz bestimmt auch einfachere Alternativen. Alles in allem war das ein sehr guter Kauf, und die Lieferung erfolgte in gewohnt guter Qualität.
