20 Best Turntable Isolation Platform (2022 Updated)
A turntable isolation platform is a device that is designed to reduce the amount of vibrations that are transferred from the turntable to the surface on which it is placed. This can be beneficial in a number of ways, as it can help to improve the sound quality of the music being played and to prevent the skipping of records.
In addition, it can also help to prolong the life of the turntable and the records themselves.

Protect your turntable from shock and vibration with Auralex’s ISO-Tone Platform. This 17. 75″ by 14. 25″ turntable isolation platform stacks a. 75″ Ozite-covered MDF platform on 1″ of the same shock-absorbing foam you’ll find in Auralex’s GRAMMA amplifier-isolation products.
This is the same material GearNuts Sales Engineers recommend daily to guitarists trying to cut down the vibration of high-wattage tube amps so you can imagine what it will do to reduce vibration in you turntable.
I got this for my Origin Live Sovereign/Enterprise Mk4 Turntable system. It works but, a tight fit. Auralex should have larger sizes. Overall, nice build quality, looks, performance and value. Cant upload photos.
Highly recommended for stabilizing your turntable. I was having issues with the turntable skipping and the needle sliding all over the record when walking across the floor, closing the front door, or the dog jumping on the couch.
This reduced the bounce considerably, and I’m very happy with this solution for the money.
The Ground-IT E is the perfect upgrade not only to make your turntable centre stage in your system but also improve performance. Made from a thick piece of MDF and finished in a stunning high-gloss piano lacquer the affordable Ground-IT E is designed to benefit a large range of turntables from the Pro-Ject range as well as other manufacturers.
The base sits upon 4 conical spiked feet that are sandwiched between special designed damping rings to reduce resonance and create a decoupling solution between the turntable and any surface.
The Auralex SubDude-HT is a larger, lower-profile version of our classic SubDude. The SubDude-HT is designed to work with most large-format home theater and hi-fi system subwoofers. This patented isolation platform features a stylish velour covering over an inert structural layer that floats on a cushion of acclaimedAuralex Platfoam.
This carefully engineered solution allows the true sound of your sub to come through. Its isolation system negates, and does not produce, resonant artifacts. This carefully chosen combination of specialized materials instantly diminishes structural vibrations, resulting in cleaner and tighter bass, reduced coloration and a more accurate low-frequency response.
The SubDude-HT supports most subs up to 300 lbs. and is an incredibly effective isolation platform that instantly improves subwoofer performance.
To be honest, I was thinking that the SubDude-HT might not even be worth buying. Again, Auralex proved that I was completely wrong! This dude has a superb build quality, and it DOES improve the sound quality from my sub-woofer.
I’m using it with my Yamaha HS8S. Highly recommended!.
Ok I purchased this item for my HSU ULS-15 MK2. After owning it for a week I can say it works. It has eliminated all the vibrations my sub was causing ,my turntable was turning on before at about 40% volume now it happens at 60%.
Thats at 170 wpc. The sub is a beast!! The platform cant do anything about the percussion being felt through the air and thats what turns on my turntable lol. But as for the vibrations I felt before the platform well they are all gone! So yes I would purchase again! It looks nice too.
I love this well built isolation pads. They are for subwoofers that doesn’t allow you to change the feet. I found it easy to position the pads where you want the subs to go, remove the subwoofer feet, then the subs slides easily onto the pads.
Plus the prices on B&H was much cheaper than any other seller.
A premier audio experience depends not only on the quality of your speakers, but also on the way they are set up. Ever take home a set of speakers that sounded spectacular in the showroom only to find something missing? IsoAcoustics’ stands use the science of acoustics to help you get the richest, most high fidelity aural experience out of your home audio system investment.
IsoAcoustics’ Aperta 300 takes isolation and sound clarity to a new level. Featuring its signature stylised open design and low profile (0. 3″), the Aperta 300 offers speakers a low stance while enhancing their clarity and performance.
The stand’s unique tilt adjustment feature enables the user to dial in the optimum tilt angle, with fine gradation markings provide to match precise angle adjustments on each side. Designed to support larger centre channel speakers for home audio use, the Aperta 300 features a solid aluminium frame construction measuring 300mm in width, 200mm deep and 75mm high, especially to carry speakers weighing up to 60lbs (27.
2Kg). The stands feature a unique integrated tilt adjustment to dial-in the optimum tilt angle, with fine gradation marking provided to ensure the precision of the angle adjustments.
At the price, I was sceptical but had an opportunity to see the stands used by a friend on some KEF speakers. I had recently bought Dali Spektor 2s, very happy (at the price point) but felt the sound was “muddy” and didn’t match the What Hifi 5 stars.
The Isoaucustics stands have transformed them to an extraordinary extent to the point where the speaker sound and particularly the sound stage is as good as the sound I get with my Dali IO4 phones. Worth every penny and great build quality makes them look good for many years.
Excellent personal service from Richard for what was a modest purchase by Audiologica standards with follow up phone call and free delivery on the day I specified. Why use Amazon? Many thanks. Ray.
Spent ages trying to fine tune my system and honestly it’s been the ‘little things’ that have made the biggest differences. These stands went on top of my atabite filled Atacama HMS stands and the difference in sound was immediately noticeable – not a placebo effect for sure.
Bit of room treatment later and I’ve got everything pretty much the way I want it. Just bought another pair for a secondary system in my bedroom to shore up some Neat Motive SX3’s that will have to suffer being genuine ‘book shelf’ speakers.
Well built and solid construction. Look nice and stylish. Easy Instructions for altering leg angles. An immediate change in speaker sonics, more present mid range and tightening of lower bass creating less boom and more bass definition.
A total change in my speaker dynamics which I was not expecting, well pleased and can recommend.
Give your AV components a lift by isolating them from vibrations with new Vibrapod Isolators. Use Vibrapods in place of the stock hard rubber feet on amps, CD players, DVD machines, DSS receivers, preamps, etc.
, that can transfer vibrations into the audio and video chain, degrading performance. Just place the vinyl Vibrapods around the edges of each component and begin enjoying cleaner sound and sharper, more detailed video images.
“I keep a box of them around so that no component goes without,” reports NR in the “Recommended Components” section of the October 1998 Stereophile. Use four or more per component, depending on weight.
My hi fi system was, I thought, producing very good sound. My component parts were middle range items from highly respected brands. I bought the Vibrapods, for my cd player, more as an impulse, rather than with any great expectations.
The usual “tweakers ” itch. The reason was wrong, the result very much right. My cd player now produces more in the way of , clarity, separation of instruments, a more solid, but not bloated bass and an overall sense of the whole presentation opening up to reveal much more of the music.
Purchased a set just recently but they aren’t the first, I’ve been using these for years. If you own a turntable, CD or DVD player you owe it to yourself to try a set. I’ve used them under multiple tables with great succcess but my Kenwood KD500 really showed just how essential these can be.
In its current location the shelf it sits on is prone to acoustic feedback, this was causing issues with anything other than very low output settings. I put a set of four #3 Vibrapods under the table’s feet and problem solved.
I currently have four sets in use and plan on ordering a couple more, my man cave setup is almost complete.
I have been far too busy to devote any time at all to this product. They look as though they will work perfectly well. They look very neat and tidy in their bubble wrap and cardboard packaging, which includes easy to read and comprehend instructions.
I am pleased with this purchase and have every confidence that they will be fit for purpose.
The IsoAcoustics ISO-200Sub Acoustic Isolation Stand is designed for subwoofers used in professional studios, project studios, Hi-Fi and home theater settings. The ISO Stands are an updated version of the popular ISO-L8R series and features a lower profile, new frame design and a newer version of isolator for improved performance.
The ISO-200Sub isolation stand is 7. 8-Inch (200mm) wide x 10-Inch (255mm) depth x 3. 5-Inch (90mm) height and is rated for subwoofers weighing up to 75lbs. The ISO-200Sub does not include height or tilt adjustment.
Experience more Punch and Clarity The ISO-200Sub is designed to clean up acoustic issues common with subwoofers. The ISO-200Sub allows the subwoofer to float and controls the energy of the subwoofer to prevent the low frequencies from being driven into the supporting surface.
As a result you will hear more punch and clarity from your subwoofer. Advanced Technology The ISO-200Sub features the same patented technology as the entire family of award-winning IsoAcoustics Acoustic Isolation Stands.
Enhance your Listening Experience The isolators manage the energy of the speaker to reduce vibrations resonating through the supporting surface to eliminate dissonant sounds in the listening area or joining rooms.
Compatibility ISO-200Sub is designed to accommodate most subwoofers, and can be used as a single unit, or combined with additional units for larger subwoofers.
If you care about sound quality then ISO Acoustic should be part of your setup. I started with ISO Acoustic pucks under my speakers (Wharfedale Linton) and immediately and clearly heard an improvement in sound quality.
Sounded more relaxed with more air around the music and clearer separation of the instruments. Based on this result I immediately ordered the ISO 200SUB for my subwoofer. Base became more tight and better integrated with the whole system.
My subwoofer is now invisible. If you care about sound quality, then you have probably already invested in decent speakers and electronics. Adding ISO acoustics will be cost effective way to help you get the maximum out of your investment.
The company provides a very specific guide to which model to use for which speaker. Guessing might be a mistake The quality is excellent. The assembly instructions provided and on the internet are helpful.
I personally experimented with the height adjustments and to finalize it I used a rubber mallet to make sure both stands were the same height, tight and not wobbly. My one complaint was that I was under the assumption that their heights were continuously variable.
They are not. You can attach tubes to the base or not. You can use a tube by itself (no incline/decline) or insert a small adapter or larger adapter or both of these (largest incline/decline) The product name is supposed to be in front to function properly.
Pictures are with tubes with both adapters. Highest adjustment thus raises the speakers more towards ceiling for better tweeter placement. If you want the speakers facing at a downward angle then you extend the rear of the stand.
I needed something small to raise my small Presonus Eris 3. 5 monitors to ear level to improve placement, focus and to improve isolation. After reading the reviews I decided on the isoAcoustic’s ISO-130.
I really didn’t think such a small elevation or removing the monitors from my desk top would make a noticeable improvement but I was really surprised with how much improvement it did make. Everything I read was true.
Tighter bass, crisper highs, better stereo imaging. I didn’t realize what I was missing. These little iso stands will improve any monitor performance and they look great, too.

I was looking for a platform or riser for my Center Channel to raise it about 2-3 inches higher without being intrusive and this isolation platform was perfect!! Can’t even tell its under the speaker, thanks!!.
This does a great job isolating a subwoofer from the floor. It especially helps if you find yourself using a sub on a tile floor (eeek). It helps tremendously to absorb reflections from a sold tile floor, hence improves the overall acoustics.

Does the same thing as my auralex gamma with the same dimensions, but it’s way lighter and costs less. I use them to isolate guitar amps/speakers so the neighbors downstairs don’t have my floor acting as a giant sounding board above them.
I was going to make my own but for the price it wouldn’t of been much cheaper or would of looked as nice. I have 2 12″ synergy klipsch subs and have tile floor. Well depending on what I was watching or listening the subs would literally walk a few feet until the LFE input cable would come out or teh legs would rattle.
I added these speaker risers and no more walking or rattling.
The single Orea Indigo Isolator from IsoAcoustics is designed to eliminate parasitic vibrations and provide greater sound clarity and focus for electronic audio components. The low-profile isolator can be used under amplifiers, DACs, CD players, speakers, turntables, and more.
This isolator has a weight capacity of 16 pounds and is designed to be used in multiples to match the weight of the component or speaker. A minimum of three units is recommended under each component.
Total weight capacity equals the weight capacity per isolator multiplied by the quantity of isolators. Additionally, the upper flange of the Orea is designed with a suction cup that adheres to the underside of the component, while the lower flange adheres to the supporting surface.
All the energy is managed within the core of the Orea, which is tuned to work within a specific weight range. This results in a natural sound clarity and a more open soundstage providing authentic, three-dimensional sound.
I’m a big fan of IsoAcoustics after experiencing the Gaia IIs on my speakers. Installed four Oreas under my turntable platform and am pleased with them as well. They are relatively expensive as tweaks go but very much worth the investment in my experience.
Gets the best our of your equipment no matter how expensive. Isolation makes a difference you can hear and these are well worth their cost. I cannot say these made as big of difference as that company’s speaker feet as I did those first and these are the frosting on the cake.
But I do feel these cleaned the sound up even more. Highly recommended.
I have these things under my speakers, amp, preamp. They really do make a difference, the sound is more open, more transparent, better resolution, etc. etc. etc. I could go on and on about how much better the sound is but unless you hear it you still won’t know what I am talking about.
Get some of the IsoAcoustics for your speakers first then you will know what I am talking about.

The ISO-Tone Turntable Isolation Platform from Auralex is an isolation platform designed to decouple turntables from the supporting surfaces they rest on. The ISO-Tone diminishes structural vibrations and acoustic feedback commonly associated with desktops and DJ cases.
The ISO-Tone features a 0. 75″ layer of black fabric-wrapped MDF that floats on a layer of Auralex’s proprietary Platfoam that protects turntables from unwanted vibrations. The platform accommodates most turntables, and the low-profile design enables easy transport.
The GRAMMA v2 (Gig and Recording, Amp and Monitor, Modulation Attenuator) is an incredibly effective patented device thats used to float an amp or loudspeaker. This highly effective isolation platform features an Ozite covering over an inert structural layer that floats on a 1 in.
pad of acclaimed Auralex Platfoam. This carefully engineered studio and live performance solution allows the true sound of your amp or loudspeaker to come through by negating resonance artifacts that can muddy up the tone of your amp.
GRAMMA yields nearly total acoustic isolation, resulting in a purity of tone that has to be heard to be believed. A tighter, more focused low-end Hear the true sound of your amp, loudspeaker or subwoofer Instantly improve your sound on-stage or in the studio Dimensions (LxWxH) 23 x 15 x 1.
I bought a JBL LSR310s subwoofer to compliment my studio monitors LSR308. I couldn’t really get them dialed in; as I increase the output from the subwoofer. The hardwood floor it was on would resonate the frequency and frankly was diminishing my ablility to get a flat response in my listening area.
I placed the GRAMMA under the subwoofer, and voila!; no more resonance, just sweet low frequencies enveloping me, instead of just my feet. It’s a bit big for my subwoofer, about 2-3 inches stick out of each side, but I’m ok with that.
I bought this item to put under my sub woofer on the wooden floor in my project studio. The room had a huge boost from about 80 hz to 140 hz. I believe in large part this was due to the wooden floor, and there’s is nothing I can do to effectively change that since the room doesn’t belong to me.
After putting the Auralex GRAMMA under my sub, I re-measured the room and there was actually a slight improvement. In this situation there was little hope that it would completely solve the problem, but it helped, so I’m happy about that.
I’m sure that the product works, but the amount of effect it’s going to have depends on the individual situation.
I have a little studio set up in a carpeted bedroom and setting my powered PA speakers or guitar amps directly on the carpet really muddies up the sound. These solve that problem and make all the difference in clarity and making speakers sound they way they should.
I think they are really expensive but I’ve never found anything that works as well.
Use a GRAMMA v2 under a guitar amp or a monitor wedge and you can instantly improve your sound on-stage or in the studio with a tighter, more focused low end and improved overall clarity as well. The GRAMMA v2 measures 15″ W x 23″ D x 1.
Having read a lot of online hype about the benefits of a Gramma pad I have to admit to being somewhat sceptical of some of the claims but when I saw that PMT had the baby Gramma for £35, significantly cheaper than anywhere else I could find online, I thought I’d give it a go.
The Baby Gramma is 15 inches (38 cm) square which is the perfect fit for my Barefaced Two10 bass cab when playing it stood up vertically. My first use was on a gig with a wooden stage, which are a bass players enemy as they cause a ton of boom from bass cabs.
But I slid the Baby Gramma under the cab which acoustically decouples the cab from the floor (so the internet tells me!) and the boom had gone. My cab sounded deeper and clearer than it ever had before and I wasn’t having to fight any low end resonance for the entire gig.
None! Who’d have thought some MDF with a carpet tile glued on plus a bit of foam underneath would make more of a dramatic affect on my bass tone than a new bass, amp, pedal or pickups would??? But it does.
It really does. If you don’t believe me, and I say that as someone who thought it was all hyperbole for years, then try it for yourself. I’ve no idea how long it will last as it is essentially a block of foam (albeit a dense acoustic dampening foam) with an MDF top but I look after my gear so I’d hope for a good few years use from it.
Early days yet, hence only 4 stars: I need to use it in more varied situations to fully assess it. I bought it to counteract boominess from my bass rig when playing on suspended floors, like the typical wooden stage you get in village halls and theatres.
I have used it at one band rehearsal on a suspended wooden stage and it certainly helped reduce some of the boom. It would be asking a lot of a wooden plank with some foam stuck on it to completely eradicate the transfer of vibrations into what is essentially a giant cajon! This baby version is big enough to accommodate an Ashdown RM112 EVO II cabinet, so is going to cope with quite a few modern compact bass and guitar rigs; e.
g. Barefaced One10s but maybe not a Blues Junior: check your dimensions carefully.
The GRAMMA Sound Isolation Riser (Gig & Recording Amplifier & Monitor Modulation Attenuator) is an incredibly effective device that’s used to decouple a combo amp or loudspeaker from the floor, yielding nearly total acoustic sound isolation.
The result in purity of tone is significant. An additional benefit is that the sound source, particularly a subwoofer, will no longer resonate through the floor to any space below. While it may still be heard, its effect will be severely diminished.
GRAMMA comes complete with a carrying handle, road-ready carpet, Studiofoam Wedges (underneath) and PlatFoam (underneath. ) One to two GRAMMAs will support most amps, speaker cabinets, theater subwoofers and monitors.
The product it’s very sturdy enough to support a 1 x 12″ Combo plus an extension 1 x 12″ speaker. It functions well on wooden flooring by isolating the low end dispersion thus enhancing forward sound projection, ideal for bass players.
The single ISO-L8R430 Large-Sized Isolation Stand for Studio Monitors and Instrument Amplifiers prevents the transfer of speaker cabinet energy to surrounding surfaces, effectively isolating the speaker.
By allowing the speaker to perform in free space, it’s able to sound the way it was intended. The height and tilt angle of the ISO-L8R430 is adjustable to optimize positioning relative to the listener.
Built with two lengths of tubing along with two sets of end-plug pairs, the stand provides 14 steps of height adjustment and allows the speaker to be tilted up or down. The stand can be assembled and reconfigured repeatedly to establish the ideal position.
The ISO-L8R430 isolator measures 17″ in width and 9″ in depth and is designed to support studio monitors and musical instrument amplifiers weighing up to 100 pounds.
using this stand to raise & tilt my dali vokal centre speaker, perfect size to support it & great way to get the tweeter to ear level, this speaker has a wide dispersion & now it has been raised & supported provides a more accurate sound to not only the main centre listening position but also to each side position as well, very solid & great looking product that does make a difference to the projected sound.
The construction of this product is great. It is solid and sturdy and really does work with reducing the vibrations. I use it for my surround sound subwoofer. It helps reducing vibrations on the floor but not so much on the walls of course, which is where the issue comes in with my neighbor beneath us.
I bought the Iso Acoustic stands for my Focal trios. They are very stable yet offer a softer mounting for my Focals which seems to isolate the speakers from any rigid vibration. I would highly recommend them.
The ISO-430 isolation stand is 17” (430mm) wide x 9” (230mm) Depth and is designed for studio monitors, guitar, bass and other instrument amplifiers weighing up to 100 lbs. The ISO stands are the latest generation of IsoAcoustics stands designed for Pro audio.
The ISO stands are an updated version of the popular iso-l8r Series and features a lower profile, new frame design and a newer version of isolator for improved performance. The ISO-430 features tilt adjustment of up to 6.
5 degrees to allow you to easily focus your MONITORS to ear level. The IsoAcoustics patented isolation system provides superior isolation and decoupling from the supporting surface. The stands are biased to keep all energy in alignment with the listening position, providing greater clarity and focus.
The Auralex BabyGRAMMA v2 Amplifier Isolation platform is a smaller version of the classic GRAMMA, which is trusted by chart- topping recording artists on-stage and in the studio. The BabyGRAMMA is designed for compact guitar, bass and keyboard amplifiers.
Sound tuning through replacement of platter mat! Turntable mats have been always a big discussion how they influence the sound. The interaction between the record and the surface can be tracked very easily by the supersensitivity of a good pick up cartridge.
Common felt mats give a smooth contact between record and platter but has the disadvantage with static. That means that felt mats often collect a lot of dust which can be then transfered to the record.
Also the damping ability is very limited which can be a problem with metal platters. Thick rubber mats over-damp the record and have an isolation effect which leaves the static on the record and hearable noise clicks are the result.
Leather and Cork are 2 different but very interesting options to upgrade the sound quality. Resonances are damped more effectively than felt, they keep dust away and they have also enough contactivity to avoid static.
What is better depends on taste and the actual platter design. A very cost effective way to improve the sound and have less noise by static and dust. You can hear a difference!.

The Pro-Ject Cork made a huge difference in my Rega TT. The felt it came with was always dirty with dust. The cork is easy to clean and seems to hold the vinyl steady way better than the felt. Get one.
Having only ever used felt mats (or no mats at all!) I was recommended by a fellow vinyl enthusiast to try out a cork mat. I have always cared about the pristine quality of sound produced by vinyl, and am always seeking to get the most out of vinyl as I can.
This product did not fail me and I am glad to have bought it. It keeps my records and stylus safe from damage, and it reduces static at a noticeable level. I highly recommend this item!.
i am not an audiofile but i have been listening to and playing music for over 65 years. long story short ,the mat works great. could tell the difference after the first record, on my pro-ject evo turn table.

A turntable isolation platform is a great way to improve the sound of your turntable. It can be used to isolate your turntable from external vibrations, which can cause unwanted noise and distortion.
It can also be used to improve the stability of your turntable, which can help to reduce skipping and improve the overall sound quality.
There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a turntable isolation platform. First, you’ll want to make sure that the platform is large enough to accommodate your turntable. Second, you’ll want to choose a platform that is made from a material that is effective at isolating vibrations.
And finally, you’ll want to make sure that the platform is stable enough to support your turntable without wobbling.
When it comes to turntable isolation platforms, there are a few different options to choose from. You can find platforms made from a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and even acrylic. Each material has its own benefits and drawbacks, so it’s important to choose the one that will work best for you.
Wooden turntable isolation platforms are a popular choice because they’re typically very effective at isolating vibrations. However, they can be more expensive than other options. Metal turntable isolation platforms are another popular choice, and they tend to be more affordable than wooden platforms.
Acrylic turntable isolation platforms are a good option if you’re looking for something that is both effective at isolating vibrations and affordable.
No matter which type of turntable isolation platform you choose, you’ll be able to enjoy improved sound quality from your turntable. If you’re looking for the best possible sound, you may want to consider investing in a platform that is made from a high-quality material.
However, if you’re on a budget, you can still find a platform that will provide good sound quality.
