Cable television is a system of delivering television programming to consumers via radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted through coaxial cables, or in more recent systems, light pulses through fiber-optic cables.
This contrasts with broadcast television, in which the television signal is transmitted over the air by radio waves and received by a television antenna attached to the television; or satellite television, in which the television signal is transmitted by a communications satellite orbiting the Earth and received by a satellite dish on the roof.
FM radio programming, high-speed Internet, telephone services, and similar non-television services may also be provided through these cables. Analog television was standard in the 20th century, but since the 2000s, cable systems have been upgraded to digital cable operation.
A “cable channel” (sometimes known as a “cable network”) is a television network available via cable television. When available through satellite television, including direct broadcast satellite providers such as DirecTV, Dish Network and Sky, as well as via IPTV providers such as Verizon FIOS and AT&T U-verse is referred to as a “satellite channel”.
Alternative terms include “non-broadcast channel” or “programming service”, the latter being mainly used in legal contexts. Examples of cable/satellite channels/cable networks available in many countries are HBO, Cinemax, MTV, Cartoon Network, AXN, E!, Fox Life, Discovery Channel, Canal+, Eurosport, Fox Sports, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, CNN International, ESPN, GMA Pinoy TV and The Filipino Channel.
In the United States, Canada, and Europe, cable television is less common than satellite television and other ways of receiving television programming, such as over-the-air antennae, because most households have access to multiple providers of these services.

Disappointed to learn AFTER receipt that it was not outdoor weather ready. I thought I had bought the same thing from M-P years ago for my roof antenna, and it served well, but after decades I wanted to replace it with extra shielded cable.
Monoprice is where I turn first. I saw no clear indication on the description that it was not for outdoor use. Looks like conventional RG-6 outdoor-antenna coax, but is either not UV-stabilized or not waterproof.
I should have studied the comments section more carefully — two people wrote the same. Too bad this hasn’t been corrected in the listing.
I wanted to move my DirecTV Genie main unit from the home theater to the living room since that is where we watch most of our TV now. The easiest thing for me to do was simply connect to where the DVR was currently connected and run that cable to the new location.
I purchased this item in the 100ft length and when it showed up I replaced the short cable run with this to check for signal lost before running the cable and moving the DVR. It worked perfectly with maybe 1% drop in signal strength on a few of the transponders but most stayed the same and a couple even went up by 1%.
Once I was sure that the cable would work I pulled it to the new location, hooked up the DVR and it’s perfect. I was running 100ft of component cable (also from MonoPrice) to get from the theater to the living room and the picture is so much better via the direct HDMI connection to the TV.
Picture is sharper and colors are much better and the odd buzzing is gone. I’ve also been able to eliminate the buggy IR transmitter setup I was using to control the DVR which was the main reason for wanting to make the move.
PROS: Insignificant signal lost with DirecTV over a 100ft run. Cable is very solidly made Price is very reasonable CONS: None.
2. The Cimple Co – 150′ Feet, Black RG6 Coaxial Cable (Coax Cable)- Made in The USA – with Connectors, F81 / RF, Digital Coax – AV, CableTV, Antenna, and
THE CIMPLE CO, A Family Company located in the USA, is proud to manufacture this high quality and durable coaxial cable. This cable is available in Black and White, and comes in lengths from 1 foot to 100 feet (including our most popular lengths of 6 feet, 15 feet, 25 feet, 30 feet, 50 feet, and 100 feet).
The center conductor is made of high grade copper coated steel that has been swept to 3. 0GHz, making this a great application for Satellite, Cable, Wireless (including cell services), and Communication uses.
With very low signal attenuation (2. 75dB at 750MHz for our 50′ cable) it can be used on long runs without the loss of signal or picture. This ensures that the ends can withstand pulling, weather, extreme hot and cold (rated up to 167 degrees F).
The coaxial shielding is 60% aluminum magnesium alloy braid and 100% solid aluminum foil (including an 18% overlap) to ensure that there is no interference from neighboring or rouge signals. The outer jacket is a flexible UV resistant PVC and has been tested to be used in many extreme conditions for use both inside and outside.
The dielectric center is made from gas injected foam PE and has an almost perfect consistency of 75 Ohms /-3 throughout the entire length of the coax cable. The outside diameter of the cable is 0. 27 inches, about 6.
85 mm, with the connectors being slightly larger at. 4375 (7/16) of an inch (11. 11 mm). The cable also has length markings every two feet on the side to make it easier to cut to length, if you need a shorter wire.
The kit comes complete with instructions and free technical support.
These are good quality and a repeat purchase. The build is good on them. They come in different lengths, this was the 10′ one (we have also purchased the 3′ and 25′ version. We have been using them for the various tv’s we have, to connect each tv to 2 antennas to improve reception.
We are able to pull in stations from 70 miles away, using two antennas for each tv, linked together and separated enough to avoid interference, then hooked to the tv’s. We get more than 52 channels on a regular basis, sometimes more than 60 when the trees lose their leaves.
The solid copper wire of the is beneficial to that.
Ran the coax through my wall (not easy) and no signal. I finally inspected one end of the connector and the copper center pin was missing! Horrible QC and cost me a lot of extra work!
I got just what I hoped for even at night with almost no light people can see and avoid the cable. the connectors on the ends are put on right so I get a got tight fit. I had the black cable before and due to the location of the antenna had to string across a walkway, not good if you like the one and done way.
already making a difference , haven’t had the first person get hung up on it Thank You.

Very pleased with quality and performance. I am using this cable to extend Ethernet to a remote location via MoCA adapters. Product was well-packaged and unrolled easily. Knurled weatherproof connectors allowed easier, water resistant termination helped during installation.
Performance and throughput is as good as existing shorter runs on the property. Very satisfied.
DynamicView Ultra 8K High Speed HDMI Cables are the next generation of HDMI cables. Supporting resolutions up to 8K@60Hz and 48Gbps bandwidth, this future proofed cable just might be the last HDMI cable you’ll ever need.
DynamicView Ultra 8K enables 8K and 4K with higher refresh rates, meaning sharper high speed content. DynamicView supports Dynamic HDR, meaning content will be able to take advantage of HDR’s expanded contrast ranges, brightness levels, and heightened levels of detail, optimized on a scene-by-scene or even a frame-by-frame basis.
I was having HDR issues with my Apple TV 4K -> Denon X3500H -> Sony X900F when playing certain content (green saturation in deep white UHD HDR 4K imagery). Switching on HDR on both the Apple TV and Denon would sometimes crash where the TV would get in switching loop until I rebooted the Apple TV.
I replaced the HDMI cables from the Apple TV -> Denon and Denon -> Sony TV with the 48 Gbps cables and I have not seen any problems in the first week. Main Plex screen also seems crisper. Small investment, big results.
For some reason, the HDMI cables I’ve received from Monoprice are inconsistent. There really shouldn’t be any reason for it in general, unless there’s some how defects in the copper wire used or some defect in the termination.
I bought a 6ft version of the DV Ultra 8K HDMI and used with my Apple TV4K. I had very frequent signal cutouts on streaming programs (primarly on live tv thru Hulu and Sling TV streaming), signal losses, pixelization (along left of screen only on British programming like Fleabag, for some reason) etc.
Since I believe the ATV4K to be a buggy streaming device, I assumed it was the issue. However, I decided to buy three 8ft versions of the same cable, which came out recently, since I actually wanted 8ft originally.
Amazingly, I do not have any of the same issues as I had with the 6ft.
Cable length: 3m / 10ft Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable Certified (w/ Hologram Sticker) 48Gbps bandwidth for latest features HDR, HDCP 2. 2 & 2. 3, DTS:X, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision 8K60, 4K120 & up to 10K resolution, Dynamic HDR, eARC, ALLM, QFT, QMS, VRR Backward compatible with earlier versions of HDMI and can be used with any HDMI devices.
The Zeskit MAYA series Ultra High Speed HDMI cables comply with stringent specifications designed to ensure support for high resolution video modes such as 4Kp50/60/100/120 and 8Kp50/60 as well as new features such as eARC and VRR.
The cables exceed the requirements of the latest international EMI standards to significantly reduce the probability of interference with wireless services such as Wi-Fi.
I ordered one from Amazon 2 days ago and I just got it. As soon as I plugged it in to my Xbox one S and Vizio e-43f1 right away I noticed a difference with audio, the picture quality is much better! I can tell a big difference from my old “High speed hdmi with ethernet”.
This Zeskit Maya is good! It’s a little beefy but you can tell its good quality. If you are a gamer or just want better audio and picture quality than get this!.

The center conductor is made of high grade Solid Copper (SC) and has been swept to 3. 0GHz, making this a great application for Satellite, Cable, Wireless (including cell services), and Communication uses.
The use of solid-copper allows for very low voltage drop along the center conductor over long runs. With very low signal attenuation (2. 75dB at 750MHz for our 50′ cable) it can be used on long runs without the loss of signal or picture.

To significantly increase the range of both color and contrast which creates an even more vibrant and realistic picture. To protect against defects in materials and workmanship. To protect against interference.
The value of this is awesome compared to some of the other products. Here’s a secret. HDMI cables are all digital. That’s 1s and 0s. Either they work, or they don’t work. Sure, there are different specifications, but you take 2 HDMI high speed cables rated at the 2.
2 spec, and one is $200, the other is $20, and there will be ZERO quality difference in your display. Now, the more expensive cable may bend easier around corners, or have some different material for the physical contact, but at the end of the day, they display EXACTLY the same.
Oh, and in my experiences of using these types of cables for years. the store brands have lasted longer through multiple home moves. so I’ll never buy the “higher-priced” ones again.
I purchased this product to connect my Apple TV to my TV by running it through the wall. The cable is very stiff (reminds me of the Monster cables) but delivers amazing quality. My Apple TV delivers 4K, 60hz (120 upscaled), HDR10+ thanks to this purchase! I was skeptical to spend this much on an HDMI since there are much cheaper options on Amazon but take a closer look at the bandwidth of the cables and you will notice.
The Commercial Electric RG6 Coaxial Cable is used for CATV-community antenna television and VCRs and CCTV-closed-circuit television. It uses F-plugs to connect on both ends and features low-loss, double shielding which ensures less interference in your picture and sound.

The GE Pro Quad Coax Cable performs as it should, seems to be of high quality materials and construction. The cost of the cable was fair, but just because I’m giving the product an excellent rating and feel the cost is fair doesn’t mean GE should increase the price.
I’d feel that’s your competitive edge over so many others on the market. I will be buying more of this product in the future for installation of other TV’s. Thanks.
Cable itself is gray not black as pictured in case that is of concern to anyone, but the ends are as pictured. The ends appear to be strong and secure. The cable appears to be robust yet flexible. Very good overall quality for the price and much cheaper purchasing online than in the store for same cable.

Connects base unit and signal antenna It is recommended if the length between the base unit and the signal (outdoor) antenna is more than 50′.
The RG-11 cable has significantly lower loss than the RG-6. 100′ length Provides flexible placement options.
Being the middle of winter I only placed the outside antenna in a temporary location. The entire unit works great. Iam able to send and receive calls at home now. Will place outside antenna in a permanent location once spring/summer gets here.
I ordered the cable because I understand less signal loss means better operation. Thanks for your help picking the right one.
Fantastic cable! Hearty insulation and durable connectors make this cord ideal for outdoor wiring. Just make sure that if any splicing will be needed this cord is not standard size and is quite obviously larger so an appropriate stripper and crimper will be required to add a new connector once spliced.
After talking to cable people that use RG 11 I have come to the conclusion that RG-11 is like a six lane interstate highway vs a 4 lane highway. There is simply more here than either RG 59 or RG 6. So if you are channeling an antenna to the house it is the preferred line to use.
It is simply thicker. Meaning more signal getting to your house. Walmart promotes RG 6 on the shelves. That was correct years ago but not now. Walmart is making a big mistake in not keeping antenna supplies on the shelves.
Something as simple as pads under a tripod mounted antenna for the roof are not available. The biggest error installers make is too many connections in line. This is where signal loss occurs. I would like small lengths of ready made RG 11 connectors on it simply so that an amplifier in line is more effective.
That could be done with as little as 6 feet of line so that the amplifier never has a bad connection to deal with. So instead of 100 feet of line with two connectors you might have ninety feet interrupted on both sides with two five feet lines.

Connects any Blu-ray player, HDTV, cable TV & satellite set-top box, DVD, switch or splitter with HDMI. This HDMI cable features corrosion-resistant gold contact and shielded to maintain signal integrity.
I used QVC HDMI to connect my Denon 7. 2 AV receiver to Apple TV. Denon & Apple TV box supports 4K and to get the max quantity output, I went with 8K. I am totally satisfied with the outcome. Also, before purchasing this I used a regular HDMI and as you know there is a huge difference.
This are not 2. 1 and are not 48gbps. I had them tested on my denon 8k receiver and they came up as 18 gbps. Also when I connected my Roku ultra atmos it also did not recognize the hdmi to be able to get 4K content.
Do not buy this cable expecting to get a true 2. 1 48gbps 4K because it is not.
We had repeated problems with the cable TV connection dropping out on our TV or getting massively pixelated. The cheap HDMI cable that our internet provider supplied with the cable box turned out to be the root cause.
We replaced that cheap HDMI cable with this one and the problems went away. (Knock on wood. ).

Amazing the difference this coaxial cable made versus the freebie cable from my ISP. Guess you (truly) get what you pay for. lol! Making an exchange for a shorter length as I did not need the length initially purchased.
Thanking the C2G Customer Service Team for their no-hassle return policy. Without a doubt, a keeper.
The cable is thick yet flexible. The performance with this cable is noticeable when watching HDX content. The quality of the build and materials is obvious.

This product came right on time. With just having cable installed in all rooms it was bound that someone with mess their card up and need another one. All I had to do was unscrew the cord off the back of TV and screw the new one on and now look you have a clear picture on the TV.
I believe the kiddos could of done all by themselves. This product again was really handle and right on time. Great & durable!!.
This coax cable worked so well with my tv it was easy to use even though it doesn’t really come with any instructions. You can find the connections that match on your device like tv, etc. , and then connect them with the coax cable.
You just have to screw it on to your device. Mine worked perfectly with no problems and i definitely recommend this brand and their products.
This was a good product. It was easy to instal and it also was a good length. I got this to use on my daughters television. It seems to be good quality too and made of good quality materials. I would recommend this product to others.

Easy connection. Used in basement. No tools needed. Connected one end to TV and the other to ( homemade fractal antenna). All inside. Works fine. Free TV.
Works great , and got it at my hardware store aubuchon,s , no more big box stores for me ! Love that store always have what I’m looking for no matter what it is they have it , no more walking around a L—-’s or H— D—- , only to find out they don’t have it or the sales person telling they don’t know if they carry it.
saving all that walking for a hike in the woods !!!.
I’m not sure if I got a faulty cord or what but I am very disappointed with this cord. The screw in is very loose and very flimsy. My picture is fuzzy with this cord but fine with another. It does not stay in because when I tighten it it seems like it will snap off.
The conclusion of a tv cable wire is the point where the signal is no longer strong enough to carry the picture or sound. This can be caused by a number of factors, including the length of the cable, the quality of the connection, or the type of cable used.
