I took a chance and purchased this TV on the day it was released. I am very happy I did. This TV has exceeded my expectations. The image quality is incredible for a tv at this price point. The picture looks so good, you feel as if you can reach out and grab whatever is on the screen.

I spend time looking at movies I’ve seen before in 4K now. The detail is amazing. Screen brightness has always been an issue for me with other tv’s in the past, but here… not a problem. The screen brightness is perfect right out of the box.

The weight of the unit is so light, it was a breeze to mount. The bevel so thin, the beautiful picture it produces takes up the whole screen. This tv replaced another 55 inch, but this one looks so much bigger.

The ability to pair a Bluetooth headset is awesome. My wife surely appreciates this feature when I’m watching tv late at night. This unit can benefit from the addition of a sound bar though. It’s not to say the sound from the unit is bad, but it lacks of depth and range.

All that being said, at this price, I would highly recommend this Amazon Omni 55 inch 4K unit. I have no regrets. It appears Amazon has hit the ground running with their first TV.

I’m very surprised by the image quality. It’s much better then I expected. Best Buy delivered it quickly. It was easy to set up – and lighter then my previous 4K tv of the same size. Having fire tv built in has freed up an extra HDMI port which are always in short supply.

The interface of the tv is user friendly and since it’s able to update I’m sure it will get better with time. I have a JBL sound bar connected so I can’t comment on the tv’s sound quality – but, the connection to the sound bar has been flawless.

My only complaint is that Alexa isn’t very responsive. it’s not terrible but I have an echo dot ( on the other side of my house ) and that usually responds before the tv does. Hopefully that gets better as it learns my voice overtime.

Great picture and great value but a little slow to open the apps. I don’t have cable, so it’s all streaming. And wish this was a little faster opening or switching them. But the picture is great. I don’t do gaming so I don’t know how the refresh rate compares though.

Having Alexa on the TV is better so I could move my Dot to my office and control all my lights and thermostat for any room. The install team was great. In and out, 3 TVs on the walls in 45 mins, only because the 65 was over the fireplace and extra care was used.

Sound quality unknown. I use a Polk Soundbar and surround. So I gave it a middle rating. TV went on sale TWICE since I got it and I got the price match twice as the 2nd price was even lower. Don’t sleep on these TVs.

I have an older Sharp Quad Pixel and a a Samsung and it’s just as great and easy to use.

Almost took it back to the store during initial setup as it just would not connect to WIFI. It kept saying my password was wrong (it wasn’t) on both 2. 4 and 5GHz bands. Finally tried using WPS and that worked.

Once past that hurdle, it connected and did all its updates which took quite awhile, and then on to actually using it. The picture quality is great, don’t know about the sound as we use a sound bar, and the ease of use is good.

There are several apps preinstalled and if you install ‘Downloader’ you can get many more. Voice commands are not what I expected. Best Buy’s description implies that the TV is always listening but I don’t believe so.

You have to press and hold the Alexa button on the remote like a PTT switch on a walkie-talkie, but that’s okay as I really don’t like the idea of appliances always listening so I actually prefer this.

So far, quite satisfied except for one thing — it always powers on to the ‘profiles’ screen but I would like it to remember the last used input which was HDMI-1. My 91 year old father can’t get past that without assistance so it’s a bit of a nuisance.

I live in the mountains with Century Link Internet service which is connected to the house by telephone line and the service is a bit slow- though it does work just fine for me to do my job online using my laptop, connected to my wireless network while video conferencing with clients for 8 hours each day.

But this Amazon Smart Fire TV just won’t stay connected wirelessly to my internet, though my computers and other devices work wirelessly just fine all day long. With my previous Sharp TV, my Amazon plug-in Firestick wouldn’t stay connected to my wireless network and I had to switch to a ROKU unit plugged into my TV which worked very well.

It’s the same with this Amazon Smart Fire TV it- won’t stay connected wirelessly and in order to use this TV wirelessly I again had to plug-in my ROKU unit and that works great. I don’t know how well this Fire TV might work if connected to the modem by Ethernet cable.

The location of my TV requires a wireless connection. Other than the connection issue, the picture, audio, and remote is just fine. But without my ROKU unit attached, I can’t use this TV at all.

I bought this soon after it was released, as I have a number of Fire and Echo devices and would like to integrate everything together. It’s a nice TV, and the active HDR really brings a new life to everything, and there’s plenty of adjustments available to tweak the picture.

The negative. Just like previous Fire 55″ TV’s I had tried, this OS did not support my four-year old Nakamichi soundbar running through HDMI ARC, which was very frustrating because that’s a nice soundbar.

strangely, it operates perfectly connected to the 39″ Insignia Fire TV I have with a much older OS. So I replaced that with a nice Vizio, which works just fine. Also, something different is that all the connectivity is on the left, rather than right, rear panel.

Amazon states that they are moving into Home Theatre devices, and I predict they’ll release a soundbar to pair with this in the near future, as well as easy integration with Echo Studio. Overall it’s been nice so far.

I’m hoping there aren’t bugs and problems that sometimes occur with a new product line.

This is second purchase of this item. Although the ratings for price, picture, etc are good I have had problems with the function of the remote. Of course it started right after warranty expired. I have contacted both Amazon and insignia and although they were helpful, the problem keeps happening with no apparent reason.

It either jumps out of program back to home and you have to reselect to get back to program or it freezes and nothing works. I had a mini meltdown over this couple weeks ago while trying to watch golf tournament & ordered another one.

Why? Because I was familiar with it and at my age & limited tech skills that’s important. Also the price is less than trying to figure out what’s really wrong. True to what’s the issue with so many things today the old one started working! Now I just unplug it and plug it back in and, fingers crossed, it works.

Hence my quandary as to whether I could recommend. Before the inexplicable gremlins, I did highly recommend to friend who had no experience with smart tv. So the second one is still in the box awaiting the next final freeze.

I am sensitive to chemicals but anyone should be aware that the outgassing of the plastic upon opening the box was severe. I had to put it outside, weather permitting, for days and still had awful headaches.

I will say Best Buy had a good deal and delivered the new one that night! So whether it’s their Insignia brand or not, I’m not sure. I have purchased an Insignia digital tv in the past and that’s why I felt comfortable with the brand.

I have a store very close and over 30+ plus years have purchased everything in my home from there! All the way back to vcrs, a gazillion bricks of tapes, cds, dvds, appliances, etc. I love my store!.

Purchased 2 of these tvs 12/3 and picked them up on 12/21. Getting home I opened them both & found one had one of the legs at the top of the box shoved against the screen, shattering it. Took the first damaged tv back & exchanged it.

Here, less than a month (1/10) the second tv now will only power on but not actually work. We have changed the batteries and even unplugged the tv from the wall and cord for the tv, in hopes to reset it with no luck.

I’m now told by customer service since I do NOT have the original box I can’t return/exchange for a different/better brand, lying the difference, of course. I was also told I would have to include all the parts….

the tv(both tvs) came with a cord, remote, a pair of batteries, two legs for the stand, and screen itself. But apparently it SHOULD have and SHOWS on their end it comes with another cord and small parts, valued at $60 I would be responsible for if I were to return/exchange it.

So disappointed with these products, we also purchased a third tv in September that is starting to black out channels, will power in by itself, start apps, restart apps. INSIGNIA is not the way to go and at this point Best Buy is not either.

OH! But I was told I could make an appointment to bring the tv in to have it looked at.

I purchased this Pioneer 4k TV sight unseen, due to extended Black Friday pricing and because the brand name stood for excellence a decade or so ago. The short verdict is this new iteration of Pioneer is not worthy of the brand.

My full experience with this television follows. Unboxing was standard. The television is well protected, but telltale signs of the quality of the set was plain to see from the outside of the box. Premium television sets are usually packed within white boxes with colorful images of the television you’ve purchased shown on both sides of the box.

In contrast, this television came in a simple brown box with a cheesy black drawing of the television sketched on the side. Setup was actually the best part of owning this set. The V-shaped legs screw into the bottom of the set and literally take less than 5 minutes to install.

The ports are located on the left side of the set (when facing the TV) and the only time you have to deal with the rear panel of the set is when you plug in power and a digital antenna if you use one.

While I did have to expend some energy in finding the power and ethernet ports on this set. However, I was able to locate the digital antenna connection by touch and screwed it in while standing slightly to the left (when facing the TV) of the set.

I must say, auto-programming was the highlight of the setup process, as I somehow ended up with 77 free channels of digital over-the-air content. To those wondering about the remote control, know the remote for this television is about the same size as that of a Fire TV.

In fact, this television’s remote control looks very much like a 3rd generation Fire TV 4k Alexa voice remote, except this television remote has been extended by about 2 inches (5. 08 cm) or 3 inches (7.

62 cm) to accommodate Pioneer branding. The worst part of this set was by far the viewing experience. I am partly to blame for this, as having Pioneer-branding elevated my expectations for the quality of this 4k panel and the sound it would reproduce.

Sadly, I was sorely disappointed with both. To test this set visually I immediately, went to YouTube and watched some 8k video. Landscapes and other stationary objects were breathtaking! At times, this television looked more like an artist’s canvas rather than merely a TV.

I then started watching Prime Video’s Wheel of Time series in 4K on this set, and this is where my experience fell apart. This television poorly handles skin tones. I tried toggling the picture modes to find something that tamed the set’s attempts at adjusting flesh tones, but nothing worked.

As you view content on this set, you’ll notice flesh tones fluctuating between warm to cold; faces will even pixelate at times. This experience is consistent irrespective of the source, so it was not my 2-Gig hardwired internet causing the issue.

It’s a flaw in the set. Visuals are only part of the viewing experience though so I shifted my attention to the audio experience this set delivers. Again, I thought with Pioneer’s reputation, the audio of this set would be good; sadly, it was only fair – at best! Audio can get loud thanks to the comparatively large cabinets of these speakers, but there is no bass.

All I heard was a muddied mix of mids and highs with the higher frequencies being of the fatiguing variety. I inevitably took advantage of the 3. 5 mm audio jack and plugged in my B&O Beolit 20 Speaker which crushes any similarly sized soundbar or speaker on the market.

The other part of this set that caused me to rate it so poorly was the aggressiveness with which the set pushes you to Prime Video. You have to go to ‘settings’, then ‘display and sounds’, then ‘power controls’, and finally to ‘power on’ and set that to ‘last input’ to get the TV to default to starting up on cable, assuming cable was the last input device you used.

Even then, the television will randomly jump to Prime Video while you are in the middle of watching a program on cable or via the antenna. Finally, even when you accept being pushed to Prime Video and try watching something there, the set will refuse to play content in 4K even with a 2-Gig hardwired connection.

What’s worse, some ‘premium content’ like Thursday Night Football, that I get access to as an Amazon Prime Subscriber is not available for some reason. I had to bring my FireTV Cube back into my bedroom and set it to an input to access all the video content my prime subscription allows me to access.

Overall, if you are just getting this set for a kid’s room where games and kid’s shows will be played, this set will be fine. My final price for this television was less than 310 dollars, and I received a free Echo Dot and Singled smart light bulb to go along with this 4k television.

That’s quite a bargain and as far as cheap TV’s go, this one is OK for the price. However, once Black Friday pricing for this set expires there will be better options on the market within this television’s price range, and I’d consider two or three of the more highly rated ones over this Pioneer.

In fairness, this Pioneer TV does a better job of picking up over-the-air channels than did the older Samsung TV it replaced, and background visuals and landscapes are impressive at times. Unfortunately, this set’s inability to reproduce acceptable (let alone accurate) skin tones, pushy and inconsistent Prime Video experience, and loud but unimpressive audio make it hard for me to recommend.

The picture is better than the last 2 tvs I’ve bought but who knows how durable it is. My old crt lasted forever but every flat screen I’ve bought lasts maybe 2-3 yrs. Setup (without firetv) was easy but then at first I was only using chromecast.

Then, I found amazon has a booby trap for chrome. If you hit the ‘return’ key, it disconnects chromecast. Argh! I thought the settings and preferences was very confusing but then I installed firetv and now it’s nearly impossible to use.

BTW, setting up firetv took 20+ mins. By the 4th update I was ready to return this, it was so annoying. And now, I have to guess at which key to press to get options and most of the time, I can’t read the options because of the screen background which you can’t change.

And, if I switch to prime video, the only option I’m allowed to change is the brightness. what the fred The remote is not the problem; it’s the remote plus the crazy screen design. There are a number of features I like but the faults are difficult to ignore.

I haven’t tested this out much but I can control the tv with echo dot and I don’t have to use the remote. My guess is the way they describe this is out of context. If you don’t have echo, the remote operates like echo in that you press a button and your speech is translated to remote commands of your tv (presumably thru IR).

But, if you have an echo, you don’t need the remote. So I say “alexa, switch to input one” (which I’ve tried) and the tv switches to input 1 and I don’t have to use the remote. Basically what they’ve done is incorporated echo into the tv and remote so everything you can do with an echo you could do with a remote.

So if you have echo, skip the remote. If don’t have echo, use the remote. If you have both echo and the remote, don’t use the remote. If you have both, the echo is smart enough to ignore your command.

The neat thing about the remote in this case is that it displays the response as a screen, text or both. Just try it, “alexa, hello” with the remote and echo at the same time. The sound quality is also better than my previous tvs.

The volume control and voice enhancement is so good, I might get rid of my sound bar.

TV in service for 5 days and is performing as advertised. Google software is adequate although we have been using a Firestick for 3 years that remains the preferred option. Firestick allows Canadian TV networks to be added providing you have a cable subscription.

We have not oberved any issues with the Google 11 software. Intelligent setup as process recognized the Firestick. Easy wall mount. The picture quality is nice, no adjustments were required to fine tune colours.

We use the cheaper Netflix (lower picture quality) TV does provide a clear picture. However for Amazon Prime and Disney we notice an improvement for picture quality as those streaming services are 4K and Dolby Vision.

No need to pay up for quality on those two services. No comments on Gaming as we do not. Certain videos on YouTube are in true 4K Dolby Vision, these are marvelous on the screen. Sound is OK, however we have always used a surround receiver.

TV audio for any TV we have had will not match quality from a true stereo amp. Set up was a breeze. Remote is adequate, a software remote with numbers (similar to a cable box remote) can be popped up on the screen.

Remote offers quick access to several menus such as Google home screen. In summary we wanted a QLED TV as we stepped up to a 65″ screen. We had noticed when visiting homes with 65″ TV’s or larger screens, that were not QLED, trailings or atifacts were present during a quick change of scene or for programming that was not truly 4K or HDR Dolby Vision.

As a result we selected the TCL 65″ QLED. Previously we have used 55″ TV’s or smaller and they were all LG brand. I would not spend the extra money for QLED if the TV is 55″ or smaller. In addition it is hard to match the LG Magic Remote for controlling other devices such as a cable box.

Best remote ever. LG Web OS software is very practical. However this is solely beneficial during setup if a cable box or other devices are present. We are pleased with the 65″ TCL QLED TV which is 1/2 the cost of other QLED TV’s.

Best Buy honored a price match as well, essentially Boxing day pricing resulted.

I had high hopes because of the number of 4 star and above reviews, but I was disappointed to say the least. Having no previous experience with the Amazon Fire TV interface, I was amazed at how sluggish and limited the Fire OS is.

After over an hour of updates, the TV was finally ready to watch (or so I thought). In-line Roku or other Smart LG & Samsung TVs, this did not come with any apps pre-installed; so I began downloading apps (for the first time); the download process was painstakingly slow & no status update was available, so I was led guessing at how much time was remaining.

I also learned that if you leave the Home Screen to go into settings, the app download apparently stops. Next, after setting up another profile (since this is a TV that my child will primarily use) I learned that all apps have to be re-downloaded to the new profile.

Another 45 minutes and multiple attempts later, TWO apps – Netflix and Disney – were finally downloaded. Then I start looking for the sleep timer, only to realize that the TV on the child profile is so restrictive that they can’t even get to settings… so no sleep timer.

You are able to set up screen time from the main profile, but a simple sleep timer is all I wanted. Finally, everything is done (or so I think) so I power the TV down for the day. I turn it on again 6-7 hours later for my son to watch a little TV, and there’s a message that the Remote is updating (yes, the remote).

The TV and remote are unresponsive for approx 10 minutes, and when the begin to work, the lag between the two are atrocious. Finally, -after around 5 minutes of lag and restarting the TV twice I’m able to load the main profile (not my sons) and start a show.

This TV is TRASH, and will be returned today. I will never own another Fire TV again.

I bought this TV to use in my library, and mainly because it was a “Toshiba”. It turns out that the “Toshiba” lights are no longer actually manufactured by Toshiba anymore. Functionally it is kind of average or sub-average.

My daughter said that she could tell the picture quality was not very good, as soon as she saw it. The worst part, for me, at least, is that the audio output jack does not appear to work with a Sennheiser wireless headset (which worked with a Samsung TV and an Insignia TV).

Hints: ====== Also, if you use apps, make sure that you MANUALLY do all the updates on the firmware/software! When I tried the Apple TV app, it would come up, but could not log in (“spinning icon”). I did some googling and found a page that said to force the updates manually (using Settings) and I wa happy to find that after doing SEVERAL updates, Apple TV was able to log in.

Also, since the headphones didn’t work, I took a chance and tried to pair the TV with a bluetooth headphones, and was amazed that it worked! Also, when the bluetooth connects, the TV automatically turns off the speakers! I guess at this point, if I had known about these problems (esp.

the wireless headphones), I would have tried something else, but too much trouble to package it up and take it back to the store :(.

Nice price, lots of features, but you have to be patient in setup. It’s more a computer than a TV, and it will take up a half hour or more with software updates and sorting out glitches. There were three for me.

First, in the middle of downloading the second update, the screen reported that internet had been lost. It suggested measures to restore my internet, but it was fine on my computer. Last option was to unplug the TV and reboot.

That reconnected. Later, when the setup goes through all the streaming apps, it doesn’t show Netflix. You have to click Next at the end and then when it asks if you really don’t want any apps, press the Netflix button on the remote.

This does NOT work when you are in the apps selection screen. (This may be fixed with a software update. ) Also, toward the end of setup, it did an update of the remote control. Really! On screen said it could take 1 to 2 minutes, but screen was stuck there.

After about ten minutes I unplugged and restarted. Seems to be okay.

This is my second one of these. The first one would show nothing after the splash screen after updating fire tv. Fortunately The local Best Buy store was extremely helpful. I returned and replaced it the day after Purchase.

The second one has performed well. And fire tv really did require the update. The version supplied is very crowded and confusing. Of course you need to connect it to your wifi to get the update. I am really not in the least interested in Fire TV from Amazon.

But if you go through the settings you will find an option to go to the last input you used previously. One of the HDMI inputs for me. I also went through all the privacy settings and turned off all the data collection.

I have it working now pretty much like a normal TV. Occasionally the Fire TV home screen shows up, but not too often. My biggest complaint is that when switching inputs (mind I use a Harmony remote with it) an information screen shows up telling me which input I am using & the resolution it’s using.

This screen covers the entire rightmost quarter of the screen from top to bottom & will not go away by itself. I finally found that using the Back command will dismiss it. As a normal TV it’s very bright & looks fairly good.

Certainly not as good as others, but better than my old 1080p HDTV. Price was extremely good for a TV of its size, and that was the main reason for the purchase.

I have had owned this TV since the End of November 2018. It was acceptable until last week. I was never happy with the Picture quality, but was very happy with the ease of accessing the streaming apps.

So it was a compromise I was willing to accept. The TV started acting like it had a virus. I found that all of a sudden the Netflix and Crave programming starting Buffering every minute or so. I of course went online to problem solve and tried many suggestions over the last 10 days.

Nothing has worked. I have verified my internet connection and numerous other settings within the TV. Then last night a new level of annoying. I was watching the CTV app and the screen flashed and then I was on the resume episode page in Netflix! A completely different app! What in the world is going on here.

I have always found Toshiba to be a great product, but this experience has left me questioning if they are at fault for this. Now I’m out a watchable TV and the money I paid for it.

Nice step up from our 1080p Vizio with “full array backlighting” from ~10 years ago. It was all plastic-y and felt cheap. Its picture was decent at its time but suffered pretty bad with bloom. It had decent speakers even back then.

Its smart features died when they stopped using Yahoo widgets (true story) so we had to use an external device to stream. Pros: The LG feels much more premium than our old Vizio. All metal from what I can tell and feels very sturdy.

I love the magic remote and its native smart apps work very well. I am a computer guy so my standards for that stuff are pretty high and I have no complaints. The picture is wonderful. as expected. I have been impressed with its colors, its brightness, reflections, and its bloom is very limited.

Yes it is there, yes it is noticeable, but barely. I have not seen the “dirty screen” that rtings shown in their testing. It is a panel lottery and the main reason I bought it locally instead of online.

just in case I wanted to return it. There are plenty of features and “AI” stuff that I am still debating if I like or not. One feature I have not seen mentioned anywhere is that it can use the remote’s microphone to do audio room correction.

Speaking of audio. IMHO it is pretty darn good for a TV. The frequency range is a notch below the top tier according to Rtings and its audio channel separation was better than our old LG soundbar (the bars frequency range was a bit better, however).

The audio has some good low-frequency range and does produce a noticeable amount of bass. No it won’t replace a dedicated subwoofer. its more in line with what a “decent” pair of bookshelf speakers could produce.

buts its still impressive. Other pros include all of the menu items you can tinker with. This is a tinker lovers TV. There are plenty of features that I do not see mentioned in descriptions or specifications.

Look at the manual if you want to see what it really has to offer. Cons: Honestly, the only negative is the TV audio distorts at a lower than ideal level. Keep in mind this typically only happens when watching movies and Mandolorian\Witcher\WestWorld type shows.

We have not really noticed it in other streamed “TV” shows (drama/documentaries). I used the equalizer to remove as much distortion as I can but at some point, it just is not worth losing the audio quality over.

Rtings was right on this one but their rating looks worse because this TV has one of the loudest volumes and their volume tests will show higher distortion. Plus, to my knowledge, they do not equalize any frequencies so I question their validity here some.

In short, yes the audio is not “great” but IMHO it is good enough for most medium-sized rooms and for most people. I personally think a lot will be satisfied and not need a soundbar. I plan to experiment with a Bluetooth subwoofer (since the tv will do both tv speakers and Bluetooth at the same time) but will eventually get an Atmos soundbar.

Conclusion: I 100% recommend this TV. Depending on room size and your audio standards. you may need a soundbar. This is a “tinkers” TV with many many many options. You will need to tweak the audio and screen settings out-of-the-box.

But this TV also has many features that other brands are still struggling to roll out. If you do not want to fiddle with settings. honestly just buy a Sony TV – they have the best out-of-box experiences period.

Excellent TV. I purchased it for one of my sons while he had COVID so he could watch shows during isolation. I personally think AndroidTV (And Google TV) are far superior than Roku/Amazon platform TV’s.

They’re easy to navigate, you can install any app from android store, native support for casting, etc. Also very clean UI. For the price, the UI is surprisingly snappy. Not as fast as something like a Shield, but very good.

I played around with video settings and found the Smart HDR picture setting to be the best and most color accurate. Also, using “Live” for sound profile along with equalizer option enabled makes dialogue crystal clear and easy to listen to at night with volume low.

Only knocked off one start because I don’t believe there is any sort of native upscaling. Playing 1080p content on a 4K TV doesn’t automatically make it a true upscaler. I have an LG 75″ TV in living room from 2017 that has upscaling and 1080p content on it looks better than on this 43″ TCL.

It doesn’t look horrible, but I can tell the image is a little stretched/pixelated in some instances. However, videos in native 4K look wonderful. Also, 60Hz limit isn’t bad at all at this price but it would have been nice to see some kind of 120Hz emulation like LG has (TruMotion).

For less than $300 it’s a great deal. However, if you’re really picky I would opt for a 5 series from TCL instead which has 240Hz emulation, Doly Vision and an assortment of other upgrades.

The TCL TV works fine for some gamming, PS4-Pro NFS etc. It seems to be slow and I don’t like the features and how to organize the APPs I want, for watching TV it’s fine, however, it’s really the service I received.

I was looking for a Samsung series (7) 43″ TV, I checked the Best Buy APP for the nearest Best Buy and found a Samsung on sale exactly like I wanted, when I arrived at the store I showed the salesman the APP and it showed on in stock and ready to pick up that day, the salesman stated they didn’t have one in stock, but he could show me some comparable units, at least as he stated, we meander around the TV section, this guy was showing me TV after TV, I should have just left, he stated the TCL was comparable, just as good for an all around TV for light gamming and viewing online APPs such as YouTube etc.

He didn’t really seem interested in helping me with what I was looking for and just started point out TV’s as if they’re all the same. I’ve always had quality service and have purchased many items at great cost, such as Samsung TV’s and gamming equipment.

This guy shoed me every brand and stated, this is a good TV, this is a good TV, this is a good TV, I allowed myself to trust him, I’ve never had any complaints in the past. Now, to the TV, I don’t do any Google or android casting, I’m a Samsung fan, of course I was told that all TV’s in this day in age are comparable not so.

Every time the power goes out or there is an internet service interruption the TV will not automatedly connect to the internet, I’ve saved the password and set it up to reconnect, I always have to reconnect manually, the picture is clear and the sound is adequate, the salesman also sold me an LG sound bar and the TV speakers actually sound better.

I asked the salesman what he would use for gamming and he stated, “A Monitor”, I don’t want a 43″ monitor. The quality seems fairly standard, mostly plastic, you have to hold the remote up and in front of the TV to change channels, because of the trust and the service I allowed to talk my way into a cheaper unit, not lower price, but cheap, that’s one reason the price was lower than others.

I’m brand loyal and I now have something I don’t really care for, sometimes it’s slow, I have goo Mbps, that’s never been a problem and the living room TV never has an issue when streaming, if you want a TV.

I’m not impressed with the APS;s popping up for TV programs, I don’t like being market to after I make a purchase. The price was very close to the TV I wanted, the Best Buy APP was incorrect and the situation shifted into just making a sale.

I will add, I travel to Houston one per week, from a small town 1. 5 hours away, I take my mother to MD Anderson and I have little opportunity/time to find and view such products, especially when I made a special trip to that store for the TV I wanted and I’m not impressed with my product.

I had the power go out for several hours during a thunder storm, when the power returned I had to reconfigure the TV as I had just purchased it, and yes, it is on a power surge unit and I’ve never experienced any TV just revert to it’s original settings.

I wouldn’t purchase that TV again and next time a salesman just starts walking around without the ability to really explain the differences and adequacy of the TV as an all around light gamming via game console and watching TV.

Do your own research, find what you really want, be leery of their APP on stock, I drove for 25 minutes thinking I found a unit suitable and the unit isn’t really that great compared to the brand I like.

Partially my fault for allowing the salesman to sell me something substandard in the same price range while explain it’s as good and the price point is good. Overall, I’m just not happy with my purchase, I acquired the unit and I’ve made it work for me, sometimes with the hassle of reconnecting the internet or just being generally slow when accessing APP’s, etc.

The TV I wanted was the Samsung as advertised, Class 7, 43″ UHD, the TCL 43″ just isn’t the same. Experiences may vary of course, this is my experience only and if you do make a purchase for this brand I hope it works out for you.

S. l. o. w. e. s. t tv of all time. I was not expecting a lot from this TV given the price. But I was at least expecting a better experience than what you could have had 20 years ago. I have a few of the TCL Roku TVs in my garages and I know the picture is fine, nothing to write home about, but it’s a garage TV.

When Best Buy was out of the Roku version I bought this Android version to replace a rarely used bedroom TV. I have two Sony Bravia OLEDs with Android and was expecting a similar experience from the OS.

I can’t get over how bad this TV is compared to those. It takes about 60 seconds to power on, even with the optimized boot settings. Navigating to YouTube TV is a painful experience and I can feel myself aging while waiting for the guide to show up.

You want to navigate through the guide? Better be patient. If you want to move from watching something in one room then go pick it up on this TV it’s impossible to do during a commercial break because of how slow it is.

I also didn’t mention the reboots once you finally navigate to a show. The positives, it fit in the piece of furniture I was putting it in. It also discourages TV watching because the experience is so painful.

The picture etc are fine but frequently in the midst of watching something the show will stop and I will see a message on the fire tv screen that there isn’t enough storage room to install updates. I have added an exterior usb storage but only a few of the apps can be moved to the usb and I still frequently receive the message on my screen.

I don’t have game apps or saved youtube videos, just Disney, paramount, Starz, Netflix, Hulu, and other apps like that. As far as the audio, when I switch the input over to cable the audio is out of sync.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and changed settings on both the tv and the sound bar numerous times trying to deal with the audio situation. It worked better but only for a bit. The only thing that seems to work is turning everything on then switching inputs and finding the channel I want then turning off the tv and sound bar and then turning it all back on again and switching inputs, opening the cable input already set to the channel I want to watch.

The audio and video will eventually fall out of sync again but it works for a few hours. Audio works fine on fire tv input and blu ray input. I have taken to watching cable on one of the other TVs in the house.

After our 3-year-old Samsung started going dim on one side and was no longer covered by the warranty, we decided to try another model. We thought we were getting a bargain, but we were so wrong!!! We got it in early June, and started having problems almost immediately.

When watching shows with lots of dark backdrops (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Strange New Worlds), we began to see warping and rippling throughout, so much so it was a little nauseating. I can also see a strange outline on the left hand side of the TV, kind of like a bubble.

We’re streaming with very high connection speed (500 mbps) and don’t have this problem with any of the other TVs. Now we’re going through the painstaking process of getting a technician to come out and attempt to fix the problem.

At least Insignia was quick about responding. It’s just a shame that such an expensive TV requires this much effort to watch.

I bought a 50 inch Insignia from Best Buy in fall of 2019 and I loved it. Never had any issues until the past few months where the picture, font, everything would just get really small and I’d have to unplug it for it to return to normal.

2 days ago I came home to my TV still on but the screen was black. I called support and once the remedies they provided me weren’t working, they said it was the screen itself that was broken. I’d only had this TV for TWO years and now it’s just broken.

I didn’t want to buy another Insignia after that but I’m too used to using a Fire TV to switch to something else so I bought this 65 inch today. Immediately upon turning it on, the screen starts glitching and going in and out just as other reviewers have stated.

I seen these reviews prior to buying the TV but just thought I’d get lucky. I’ll be returning this TV tomorrow and will just have to get over the whole Fire TV thing and switch to something more reputable.
