I have purchased and owned many televisions over my 55 years on this planet and I can say most definitively the Samsung Terrace Series outdoor television is an absolute piece of garbage. Trust me – do the research and pay attention to the customers who say this is NOT an outdoor television because they are 100% correct.

I am fortunate to own 2 outdoor rated LED tv’s – one is a 55” Sunbrite that I have owned for close to 6 years and it is an absolute tank. Sits outdoors all year round and many of those years were spent in the northeastern U.

S. with harsh weather conditions. No issues whatsoever with the Sunbrite. The mistake I made was not purchasing another Sunbrite for my second outdoor application. Here, I purchased a 75” Samsung Terrace having read all the glowing reviews and ignoring the warnings of some who claimed this was not a built for purpose outdoor television.

I also regrettably ignored the fact that Samsung has ZERO experience building outdoor televisions at this point. Less than five months later, I am regretting that decision. I used my new Samsung Terrace television 3 times in the mild North Carolina weather and it is fully covered and protected from the elements.

Now it is a $10K boat anchor. It is completely shot and Samsung cannot repair it. Something about the screen is defective but who really cares what the issue is when you spend $10K on a television – you expect it to work more than three times and survive at least one season.

Not the Samsung Terrace. I am now fighting daily with Samsung to try and replace this 100 lb piece of garbage. The sad thing is, I’m sure Samsung will eventually replace it whenever they get good and ready to take action but I have ZERO confidence the replacement will last more than the original.

To top things off, dealing with Samsung customer service is an absolute nightmare. It is enough to drive you insane. Save yourself the time, money and exasperation and stay away from this product. As for me, I don’t plan to purchase another Samsung product ever again.

After attempting to use a normal TV outdoors and that TV quickly Failing, I found that Samsung had entered the outdoor TV market. This is hands down the best outdoor TV option available at the moment.

It’s fully encapsulated so no need to worry about the elements. After a year and a half on my uncovered patio it has held up perfectly. I get comments on how clear the picture is. No glare even when the sun is fully out.

I highly recommend the Terrence sound bar. Excellent sound quality, combined with the TV you will have an amazing entertainment zone outside. Only complaint is the remotes. For an outdoor TV the remote does not Have any type of outdoor rating.

I’ve been through 2 already and they were never left out in the rain. Even just dew or moisture that accumulates from sitting outside for the day has ruined them. Nothing is perfect and aside from the remote this TV is close.

We unboxed and mounted our TV on our patio today, the TV is very sturdy, has an amazing picture, and was fairly easy to deal with other than it is heavy being 110 pounds. We did need help getting it onto the wall mount.

When you open the box you do it from the bottom so make sure you reach in and pull the top styrofoam out to get your paperwork, remote, and cord before you lay the box down and lay the TV on it! The back small square panel unscrews and hinges open to the right, you need to completely remove the screws to do that, That panel is where your cords hook in, power, HDMI, and optical input for the sound bar.

The cords come out by removing these rubber stoppers and putting the cord in that spot so it is all nice and neat and the TV stays protected from the elements. We thought it couldn’t get much better once we powered it on, until we added the sound bar which took it to the next level.

We spend a lot of time on our patio and in the pool and this TV is large enough, loud enough, and bright enough to accomplish movies from the pool, along with not having to worry about leaving it outside in the heat, or if it happens to rain.

Thus far we are super impressed with how lovely it is, and also the smart TV options, we stream most everything and on this TV it is right at your fingertips via remote because the Apps are already there, or via your phone which is another great option! You can also set it up with voice response using Alexa, google assistant, or Bixby.

I purchased this television through Best Buy In-Home Design as part of a large home theatre setup, both indoor and outdoor. I also purchased the TotalTech membership as a means of protecting this investment.

With minimal usage over 18 months, the television suddenly went black. When I called the Geek Squad to diagnose and repair, they came and stated that the Sunbrite TV is not an item that they service or support.

This contradicts the TotalTech website that states product support up to 24 months. I am now left to source repairs via the manufacturer at my own cost. When the television is working, it is great. This review is more to inform future buyers of something Best Buy does not tell customers when they make this very large purchase.

If I were in the market for this item or any large item from Best Buy, I would verify if they actually support repairing the item. All other sellers of Sunbrite I have contacted will support repairs of the televisions they sell.

Would not pay the price for this television it is literally a tv that can be outside but can’t be seen unless there is literally no sun out at all it has to be in absolutely shade period and before you say it says its not a full sun model it does state its partially shade so i do understand but the television is under a large canopy and its still extremely hard to watch even on overcast days.

any glare or shiny surface that reflects light will make it unwatchable. If it’s in a porch i guess it would be ok but any window will need to be covered. Picture is definitely not great for claiming to be 4k my garage 300 dollar 4k tv looks better.

Already had to make a warranty claim was fixed then broke again they sent a replacement. And be prepared to use a sound bar the built in speakers are about as loud as your cell phone called and asked they said thats as loud as they go.

If you are sitting five feet away you can’t hear it. It is weather proof and rain proof. Definitely not worth the price tag.

Very poor customer service with these tv’s. My first tv broke after two years and I was told it was out of warranty. I purchased a second tv which arrived defective. That was replaced a month later. Finally a third tv arrived and was installed.

After two seasons, mysterious marks appeared on the screen. Their customer service department asked for photos and asked many questions. After a few days they told me that since there is a sink below the wall mounted TV set, that must be the reason for the mysterious marks.

They refused to repair or replace the tv. I’ve had three TVs in a matter of two years that have gone bad. I paid for the first replacement yet they still find excuses and reasons to avoid taking any responsibility for these TVs constantly going bad.

I strongly suggest you stay away from this product. These are very expensive products that should have better performance and durability. That do not!.

The tall guy in the movie theater that always manages to sit right in front of you ; the shortest person in the theater. The person that sits behind you and puts their feet on your chair shaking uncontrollably until you feel as though your brain may shake out of your skull.

Oh yes this happens and it was enough to ban the mere idea of seeing a movie from my mind. Although deeply saddened to miss some of the greats as they were released into the box office, I am no longer in such Peril due to my 55″ Terrace Samsung QLED 4K UHD Smart TV.

The ability to play Outdoors as well as in, with no need to worry over damage from the elements has given me the ability to transform any spot of my home into a personal theatre, no tall guys or fidgety foot villains in sight.

Yes, my 55″ Samsung Terrace has created for me the relaxing or fearful, depending on the genre in which Ive decided to immerse myself in for the evening, has created the atmosphere I desperately crave after a day of the 9-5 lifestyle I assigned myself.

The picture and sound quality are absolutely wonderful, but most are these days. The sseparation rom smart television to full blown personal mini-theatre is the ability to pull up a piece if nice green grass and watch whatever my soul desires to escape into.

1. TV program list is unable to show programs shown before, only after. People are unable to view the programs that have been shown to see program details. For example, they might want to see what the program name is and what time it is being broadcasted.

Although it is not a major issue, and that people can easily Google the details of the programs they are interested in, it is good if this feature is implemented, to make television watching for consumers to be more enjoyable.

2. Subtitles are unavailable for certain channels/ programs, or just heavily delayed. When subtitles are unavailable, it may be hard for people to understand the program, especially when people are speaking fast.

If phones are able to implement it, even when offline, I do not see a reason why this television cannot. Moreover, to increase customer satisfaction with the product, and to make this product available to more people, live caption alongside with translations will be the cherry on top.

Translations would be useful for foreigners to understand English programs, and allow them to gradually learn the English language. This would make this product very sought after as foreigners would not need to subscribe to channels that speak in their language.

To improve on this, different audio languages should be implemented as well, to maximise the market of consumers for this device. 3. Buttons to manipulate the television would be helpful. If consumers lose the remote control, they lose all control of the television, and it would be really inconvenient for them to get another one.

If they choose to get another remote, until then, they are unable to watch the television. If they dont choose to get another remote, they lose all control of the television and are locked out of using it.

Implementing buttons on the frame of the television allows for better customer experience, and making life for consumers to use this product a lot more convenient.

I agonize over things when it comes to spending hundreds of dollars on electronics. I try to do as much research as possible. This TCL model consistently came up as having a wonderful combination of features and functionality at a fair price.

Having been a long-time FireTV user, I wasn’t sure what to expect with Google TV, but it’s phenomenal. It works flawlessly, feels a lot like FireTV, but without having to plug in a separate stick in your HDMI port.

All the apps are there and are simple to find. Setup was simple, straightforward and logical. The picture is phenomenal and surprisingly the sound is GREAT! It may not matter to some, but the remote control is an elegant design, with a simple layout, firestick feel, but longer and more substantial, so it’s much harder to lose down the cushions and far more comfortable in your hand.

They provide three HDMI ports, plus an ethernet port and surround sound support. The kids love the ease at plugging in their various gaming devices and the amazing responsiveness of the screen to their gameplay.

TCL knocked it out of the park with this one!.

This TV is outside on the patio. Purchased a Roku, and it is perfect for the space. My Best Buy adviser did not think I needed a speaker, and he was right. The space where the hung is partially shaded, and we get a great picture.

For the price I would definitely recommend this TV!.

No disappointments here. TV works as advertised; has a great setup wizard the first time you turn it on. Picture is crisp, clear, and bright enough for covered patios. FYI – cannot comment on TV speakers as I purchased an outdoor sound bar to go with it.

The Furrion Aurora is just what we expected. The partial shade model we have shows great on our covered patio. Definitely worth the price paid. We mounted ours on a wheeled cart to make it movable.

Picture quality is great, the sealed space in the back makes it easy to connect fire stick and the build seems to be solid. I wish it was a bit louder. Best part is Sunbrite customer service, easy to deal with and always answer the phone ready to help.

Had issues with shipping me two TV’s , they were no help in fixing the issue. One call direct to Sunbrite and they handled it with each, high recommend to a friend.

I use this product, an outdoor tv, in my screened porch. Very nice tv. The thing that I would have to say is that you have to put the volume up very high to hear.

We looked at all the major competitors including Samsung, SkyVue and SunBrite and this won hands down. The form factor is much sleeker than the boxy enclosures of the others, the 4k HDR picture is fantastic and the value is better.

It was an added bonus that the TV includes a slim tilt wall mount as well. We didn’t care about not having native streaming apps because we use FireStick and Apple TV in our household. We use a seperate HDBaseT to extend our FIOS and other components to the TV from the basement using the rear weatherproof compartment.

Have not really tested the sound outdoors as all our audio routes through SONOS. The entire family is enjoying football season on the patio!!!.

So far so good. Just installed this outdoor tv. Picture quality is good. Control buttons are on left side of tv and easily accessible. I bought a full motion mounting bracket separately since the one it comes with is a fixed bracket.

Nice it comes with one and nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to be able to adjust tv. This is a shade series so make sure you are not using it in direct sunlight.

This is a wonderful product. Surprisingly good sound for integrated speakers. Really easy setup and mounting (with 2 people). Picture quality is good during the day and phenomenal at night. Product looks really nice and for the price I’m really thrilled with the purchase so far.

The integration of a streaming device in the back is flawless and the ability to power the FireTV with a USB cable is really a great feature. The number and variety of inputs allow for diverse use when it comes to media sources.

Overall great product and much more affordable than others that are similar in size.

Purchased this in the late summer during a deal when it was $400. I am more than pleased with this television. Excellent picture quality and size for the price, and paired well with an older Yamaha receiver.

This HDMI-ARC connection upscales an Xbox 360, older Blu Ray player and a Nintendo Switch to 4k quite well, while connecting an Xbox One S directly to the television via HDMI allowed the best possible picture and sound transfer possible.

Note that the native speakers are very underwhelming (which is inline with industry wide expectations for built-in speakers). The remote is nothing special, but it serves its function. which for me, is mostly switching between the receiver and Xbox One inputs, with the occasional smart-tv enabled home functions or streaming services on quick access.

As for the rear input panel. 3 HDMI connections really doesn’t cut it anymore (especially when one of those connections is ONLY outputting sound via ARC, in the case of sound bars). An RJ-45 for hardwire ethernet connecting is nice to have in addition to the built in wifi, and there are connective options for coaxial cable and headphone jacks (although i used neither and can’t speak to their effectiveness).

The OS is an Google platform, which for me works just fine as my cell phone and tablet are both Samsung, Google-enabled devices. In all honesty, though, the smart TV functions were, for me, just a cherry on top for the rest of the package–a screen size and resolution upgrade from my 49-inch, 1080p Insignia that this replaced.

Even during this holiday season, I’m not really seeing any advertisement for a similar size and resolution tvs for such a great deal. Of course there are more stunning sets out there with OLED, 8K capability, etc.

but nowhere NEAR this price range.

We added this to our outdoor space. Living in Ontario we have such crazy weather and this tv performs amazing. We have watched it on sunny days and in the biggest downpours. The picture is amazing. The price was perfect.

We couldn’t be happier. Our backyard is where we all gather now.

I just received this TV from my wife for my birthday. The ease of setup, clarity and features (many I have yet to enjoy still) are exactly what I was hoping for with this TV. The sound could be a bit louder and it is heavy but seam durable.

Can’t wait for that night it drops below -25 to test how it functions.

After a year of going back and forth on this purchase, we decided that it was time for an outdoor TV. We ordered and picked up the 75″ TV but arranged The Geek Squad to install. The first install was cut short due to a thunder/ lighting storm.

We rescheduled for 2 days later. The 2 Agents were amazing and we could not be happier with the quality and sound of this TV. The picture quality is so sharp and clean, it is definitely a great addition to our backyard and we look forward to outdoor summer movie nights.

Haven’t had a chance to use this guy too much so far, but so far it’s been a great addition to my backyard patio! The Geek Squad crew that installed it were very impressed by the build/quality of the TV and when I told them the price, they were even more impressed.

I ended up getting a more ‘fully articulating’ mount to give me better viewing angles from my entire backyard, and purchased an antenna to get/watch football games. Over-air content seems crisp. I have yet to watch a ton of 4k content, but having Netflix, HBO Max, etc will be great.

I was a little disappointed to find out that LG (panel/TV innards are made by LG) doesn’t have rights to FOXs apps, which forced me to get the antenna to watch FOX programming, but that is really the only downside so far.

Purchasing the Total Tech was a no brainer because you end up saving on shipping (~ $90) and get free install, so you basically cover the $200 that you pay for Total tech, plus you have protection for the next year.

Best Buy just installed my Peerless ODTV 5503 on my outdoor deck yesterday. I have not been able to use the TV fully just yet as we were rained out today, but out of the box and installed yesterday the picture quality looked great.

I purchased the partial shade model. Even with the sun hitting the screen directly the picture showed through (anytime before 1:00pm at my place based on the sun movement). A big bonus is that the speakers (downward firing) crank, so no need for a soundbar.

I may add a soundbar at a later date for a more fuller sound although the speakers are more than adequate for my viewing area.

Installed my new Neptune 65″ outside in our screened-in porch. We love the television. The picture quality is great. We were impressed with the sound quality as well. The unit is amazingly sealed so should handle the temps and weather as stated for the unit.

I used my existing wall mount because of it’s versatility but the unit is packaged with a standard wall mount. Still learning the TV and trying to add my viewing apps. Have run into issues loading some of my favorite apps but it may be operator error.

In the store, I saw little difference between the 65″ NanoCell 90 TV and its OLED counterpart, so chose the NanoCell because it didn’t seem worth the $700 price difference. Once the TV was installed at home, I was less impressed.

I’ll begin, though, with some positive items. The clarity of 4K images is amazing, and there’s a lot of 4K content. Pretty much everybody except Netflix provides it at no extra cost. The installed apps for Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+, etc.

work great and I’m debating whether an external Apple TV is really worthwhile, although it’s the only way I can run the Spectrum app for a few channels that don’t have their own app on the LG. That said, I’m feeling a bit of buyer’s remorse.

I realize this is not a top-of-the-line TV, but it’s not a budget model, either. First, the picture seems dim overall, except for the lightest areas, which can appear as blown out. People often look backlit and almost silhouetted.

I tried various picture modes, which gave varying results in combination with the AI setting for automatic brightness adjustment for ambient lighting. It helped a bit, but too many indoor scenes appear to have been filmed at night by flashlight.

LG advertises this TV as having advanced color accuracy, but some scenes have psychedelic over-saturated color and most are dull, muddy, and orange-ish. Maybe the advanced settings (contrast/brightness/color, etc.

) will make a big improvement, it strikes me that the default image should be well in the ballpark to begin with and these controls only useful for fine-tuning for a few discerning users. The 13-year old Sony HDTV this replaced has better color and contrast than this.

Blooming is a known problem with TVs, and this is worse than I’d expected. Maybe I’m spoiled by computer screens that display white text flawlessly, but white titles and subtitles appear to glow with blurry halos as though they were projected through a greasy lens.

It would probably be disingenuous to return this TV as “defective” (maybe it is, how would one really know), but it doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade aside from the size. I hope your experience is better than this.

I purchased this tv for a replacement to my 70in Samsung Tizen tv that my toddler attacked with a toy and cracked the screen. I planned on upgrading to this tv mainly for the hdmi 2. 1 gaming input to utilize the 120fps capability.

I read alooooot of reviews and now that I have had a bit of time with this tv I’ll save you some trouble. The tv does have a nice picture quality. It also has potent enough speakers that unless you need seriously loud sound or have a large open floor plan and want to hear it outside the house.

Would a sound bar improve the sound? Absolutely, because that is what they are made to do. I just do not view it as essential if you purchase this tv. I have noticed some bleeding on this tv where when the screen is pitch black in the lower right side it looks somewhat like a topographical map of Hawaii (the water being black and the land mass being white) trying to rise up.

It is subtle and I really can’t say I notice it while gaming or watching a movie, just when the entire screen is supposed to be black like at power on or off. If anything changes I will update my review.

All in all it is a good tv at this price point that has the 120fps gameplay rate. If you plan on using it for gaming, get it. If your just going to stream or watch movies, buy a 70in for cheaper. The 120fps — only on specific outputs so make sure you have it connected correctly— is a great feature ,but the only real feature that makes it better than any other 65in at this price point.

Now for the deeply disappointing part. I purchased my tv open box —excellent condition— what I picked up at the store was a horrible excuse for that. My tv was wrapped in bubble wrap with the power cord and absolutely nothing else.

No box No stand No friggin remote. It is a huge pain if you don’t have the remote for this tv so do yourself a favor and make absolutely sure you receive the remote for this tv or don’t get it.

I hate to say it, but I have to say to avoid this tv or any LG tv that uses local dimming. I was sooo excited to purchase this tv and get it home. But after a few days of viewing, a few things stuck out consistently and could not be ignored or gotten used to, And I tried for a month.

The way the local dimming is implemented causes u to watch shows with somewhat of a spotlight moving around the screen to focus on the bright areas. There was an area about a foot in from both sides that always seemed to not dim/light properly.

This made our eyes crazy. And if you turned it off, well the picture looked great and bright, but when viewing 16:9 content the bars on top and bottom were grayish(not black as when local dimming is on).

And the worse thing of all was that there was a whiteish area glowing in the top right corner that caused a glow on the whole corner. There were a few other glowing spots along the left edge of the screen but less noticeable.

The top right corner glow was about a foot in diameter and as I imagined keeping the tv for several years, could I get used to the glowing spots, NO and we shouldn’t have to. Oh, and the vertical blinds-like way LG displays the image onscreen caused the view from the side to be extremely dim.

So unfortunately I had to return the tv and purchased Sony OLED instead, GORGEOUS!! LG C1 OLED should be very good as well. But if u need to or prefer to stay with LED, then go with Samsung QLED, u won’t be disappointed.

We are celebrating our 54th anniversary and decided to get something we both would enjoy. The larger tv screen is awesome! It looks like the people on the screen could walk right out of the tv! So clear and bright images.

The only thing that took awhile was getting a universal remote set up to run the tv, DVD player and the surround system. Now it’s one remote for everything to enjoy the new tv!.

The TV is awesome, everything they said is true, best picture and sound. Great apps and they all work perfectly. If you want to see how great the picture is, watch a National Geographic and stand back you will think you are actually in the forest or in the middle of a river fishing.

A 4-year warranty, no one else offered that. Shipping took less than a week. You can’t find this offer anywhere else.

TV is nice. Very heavy duty and picture quality under patio is much better than a typical indoor TV. Issue is that a cooling fan starts within 15 minutes of the TV being turned on regardless of the outdoor temperature, humidity level, etc.

It is an irritating hum that can only be stopped by turning off the TV. You can put the volume up high enough to override the noise, but one wouldn’t think that this would be necessary. We contacted Element, and at first they said this was normal.

Then, they helped me perform a factory reset hoping that it might stop the fan from turning on so quickly. The fan literally came on during the reset, so it was not successful.

So far this is a great TV for our screened in porch. Set up was easy once we got it mounted on the TV tripod I ordered – it weighs 71 lbs, so need two people! Picture is great – actually had to change the setting to normal brightness as picture was so bright at night.

Sound is average and will probably add a soundbar or external speakers at some point. Delivery from Walmart was quick once I was able to order the TV as it is popular. I am very satisfied with my purchase so far.

Good partial shade TV. Sound is a little week and the TV will only pair with a Roku Bluetooth speaker. All others must be hard wired or paired through the headphones on the roku remote to enable Bluetooth, which turns off if using other phone applications.
