20 Best Tv Lift Mechanism (2022 Updated)

The function of the lift mount is excellent; smooth and quiet. The remote works well. The direction/installation manual is not particularly helpful. The mount came with a part that looks similar to a small, felt-lined crowbar but was not listed in the manual and has no immediate use that I can determine.

The manual controller, which is attached to the mount, is constructed in a manner that does not seem to be useful in terms of attaching it to a wall or cabinet.

Delivered on time. Very sturdy and with a nice look. Control remote worked perfectly. We were surprised how high it can go. We are happy with this product.

It would be nice if it could extend down longer, have a faster motor, and a better & more detailed instructions. Besides those things, it’s a cool mount.

This Vivo tv ceiling mount fulfills my expectation and some. I took some extra steps in the attic and added some cross studs between the rafters for a more secure installation and installed a outlet right next to it.

Now it’s a working piece of art.

Took a little while to assemble, make sure you have someone handy. Attached to studs and in sheetrock with toggle bolts. Functions very well, virtually silent when in use and it folds up and down very slowly.

Has a 25lb 50″ tv on it.

Just finished mounting and installed TV. Awesome! Really adds a cool effect, plus it hides my TV on the patio. Great purchase!

What a dynamic dimension this has added! Once installed, the unit is very stable and the movement is flawless and quiet. The IR sensor picks up the remote control signal very well even while out of sight! The memory for the stops works perfectly.

(Not with all models, but so worth it. ) One touch, the TV is raised to the proper height and one touch, it is lowered all the way. When ordering the unit – I explained how I would be using the lift and where I wanted to mount it.

After all the specifications were checked and double checked, I received a phone call to advise that it would be sturdy and when it would be shipped. It was packaged in a double box and shipped on time arriving with no damage.

(Thanks to great packaging and UPS!) Final item of praise for the product – It comes with a 5 year warranty! It speaks volumes when a company backs a product with a warranty like that!!! I checked and compared several other lifts and this one far exceeds all the others!!!.

When I noticed Touchstone over a decade ago I knew I wanted a lift. Over these years their lifts stood all tests so I took the leap! Brian helped me through my financing. Mr Lee is a God send! He helped me tirelessly organized my handmade ceiling cabinet to precisely fit my 70″.

I used 23401 with the drop down bracket. If you measure property this bracket takes all the weight of the lift install. The remote takes 23A to run properly. Matthew helped understand pairing the remote.

For as much as this thing weighs, it really needs better packaging. I received a unit that was so damaged from being dropped during shipping that it had to be returned. The second unit was also damaged in shipping, but only minimally.

The instruction manual is lacking a lot of necessary detail. The optional lid mount uses screws that do not sit flush and so the lid is not sitting perfectly flat on the mount piece. The lid mount has countersunk screw holes, yet does not use flat headed screws.

Why?? Overall, decent product. Needs a few fine touches to be truly good and user friendly.

Works as advertised. Very solid at all positions except the very top position, which is only slightly less solid. A spike in electrical outlets from plugging in a subwoofer or other will send signal and make lift go down, so make sure there is clearance at all times as you never know when it will go down on its own.

I would buy it again in a second. Trigger works good and setting height is easy. Quiet operation. I put a 2021 Sony 83″ OLED (VESA 400mm x 400mm) on it with no issues because it is only 95 lbs. Perfect size for my application.

we received our Lift Cabinet last week, with the operating mechanism installed at the factory. Although I am sure the information was in the documents somewhere, I was suprised how heavy the cabinet was, I should have been better prepared.

One screw was missing from the base of the lift mechanism (of six) and the Y brace near the top was loose. No problem, service assured me that the five screws was normal, due to assembly requirments at the factory.

The loose brace was easily tightened. You might add a note in the cabinet when the sixth screw is omitted to clarify. Installatoin of the TV was easy, and cable routing fairly intuitive. I had a little trouble getting the TV and rollers to the correct height; guidance might be given to mount the vertical braces on the TV in such that the TV is low relative to the braces to begin with, and then adjust when the TV is mounted on the horizontals.

On my Sony Bravia TV the vertical braces mounted very close together, actually partially behind the lift mechanism. Therefore, installation of the locking brackets was not possible. (It didnt seem like the locking brackets would work anyway.

) You could include guidance saying that when the vertical braces mount less than ?? inches apart, the locking brackets won’t work. Would be fantastic if you added an internal power strip, so the TV and other components could be powered from the strip inside the cabinet and only one power cable coming out.

I have to praise your support team, we spent a lot of time on the phone and exchanging photos to clarify some other questions. He was great!.

After doing quite a bit of online research, this (Elevate 72011 Blk Cabinet) seemed like the best buy for the $, plus the reviews were good. I also spent about 20 minutes on the phone talking to the sales guy, who patiently answered all my questions.

I ordered the unit with a shelf, as I needed it for a DirecTV DVR, and a PS4. The piece came well packaged, and there were no dings/scratches, etc. So far, so good. Touchstone isn’t kidding when they say the unit is well made, and it’s HEAVY.

Good! I have an older model Sony 46”, and it weighs 61 lbs, according to the specs. It mounted easily, which was a plus, but I was a bit worried about the weight of the TV being too much for the motor, but it goes up and down with no problem, which makes me happy.

So all is well up to here. I knew the DVR and the PS4 were going to be a tight fit on the small shelf, from my conversation with the sales guy. Front to back, the DVR is JUST small enough to fit on the shelf.

However…. When the coax cable is attached, it sticks out just far enough to where it “trips/catches” the rear lip of the piece when the lift travels up or down. I have ordered a 45 degree coax fitting, which I’m hoping will allow a smooth travel up and down.

The PS4 is simply too big from front to back, and cannot fit. Period. It’s a PS4 Pro unit though, so I’m going to swap it out with a regular PS4, which is a bit smaller, and HOPE it will fit. If this piece was 2” deeper, front to back, I would give it 10 stars.

Even in this age of smart TV’s, I‘m pretty sure I’m not the only guy that has to have a shelf for components. I would have thought a concern like that would have been taken into account during the design phase.

As far as the up and down functionality though, it seems to be working great so far. If you are planning on mounting JUST a TV, I would wholeheartedly recommend this. If you have to have a shelf for components, not so much.

A few things that disappoint me: 1) The adjustable TV frame is not rigid enough. When we extend the TV out and at an angle, the TV is not level – it “sags” about ~3-4 degrees from horizontal left to right and is distracting to viewing.

2) The TV does not stay in contact with the switch when it’s folded in and the lift disengages. I have to push the TV against the switch to keep it engaged so the lift will work. 3) You need some type of clamping system to keep cables and DVR/DVD units stable on the shelf when the shelf is raised and lowered.

Whenever I raise or lower the TV, cables/cords get caught and get unplugged and units on the shelf get pushed around. The DirecTV box requires about 15 minutes to reboot every time it unplugs. And it is extremely hard to reach the loose cables/cords deep down inside the cabinet.

I purchased the Vintage trunk to go in my newly renovated bedroom. This is a very pricey novelty item, so I’m giving my honest review. Starting with the pros : The trunk itself is beautiful. It’s covered in a lovely soft to the touch material with leather trim.

It’s heavy and very solid and well made. The unit really is a beautiful piece of furniture. Now onto the cons : Delivery was easy except it was left at my front door. If I didn’t have the best UPS delivery guy on the planet ,I’m not sure how I would have gotten it inside that night.

Assembly was done by my son, who is handy, but the directions were tough to follow. Thankfully there are several You Tube videos to watch and he needed to reach out to customer service twice during the assembly process.

I did pay to have the component shelf pre assembled at the factory. The trouble comes with the fact that there is no internal plug, or any real easy way to run your electric cord to the unit. I ended up needing to buy an extended length surge protector.

But there are no holes or channels to run the plug underneath. My plug running from unit to my outlet causes the lift cabinet to lie uneven. It has a slight wobble because it’s sitting directly on wire.

My son also had to use a heavy duty double sided tape to secure the surge protector inside the unit so it didn’t move around when you go up and down with tv. The inside component shelf is barely big enough for my cable box to sit on.

I would say if you had anything else like a dvr player, it’s going to be a tight fit. Overall it’s a beautiful lift cabinet. It works smoothly and quietly and I hope it continues to do so forever ! There are these few design flaws that really are a very easy fix on the manufacturers and.

Hopefully Touchstone reads these and takes a look into it. Just be aware that will need someone ( or 2) to help with assembly.

The description said this TV lift would be quiet and it’s quite a piercing, awful sound when it lowers into the trunk. We installed it without a problem, and would appreciate some advice from your tech staff on how to fix the high-pitched sound each time the tv lowers.

It is brand new and shouldn’t make this terrible sound!.

I have ordered from the company before and was pleased. This cabinet and lift were problematic. First, I ordered the lift installed and paid extra for that. It arrived without working and the company had to send another and after my prodding, they refunded the installation fee from the first lift.

Second, the component shelf arrived separately (the service rep told me what to order) and once I installed the new lift and the shelf, the shelf is too big for the cabinet to close as constructed. We had to take out the metal struts connected to the top and bottom which allowed the top to close slowly and carefully.

No one at Touchstone told me that and when I let them know, they didn’t seem to be worried by that, or offer me some sort of compensation for yet one more problem. Third, I did not receive the correct instructions with the unit as another reviewer indicated and the technical support staff had to send it.

The chest itself is very nice. Just understand that when they say it is heavy, they mean it. Unless you are a weight-lifter, you will need more than one person to move it in place. When I got mine, the White Glove service was not available but the customer service folks did what they could to be sure that the delivery service got it inside my door for me.

The customer reps were helpful and pleasant at each interaction.

The delivery process was very tedious on arrival in Calgary – but not your fault. We found the manuals to up to expectations and quite difficult to follow. The videos on your website were much more help.

The white remote didn’t work, so we bought a new battery, which is not easy task as it’s quite a unique size and then it worked. Perhaps you should test these before? It was an inconvenience for us living in the country.

The workmanship and attention to detail is outstanding and the color of the wood is perfect. Overall a terrific product.

I bought this after carefully measuring everything. My TV was even smaller than the max measurement for the cabinet. I mistakenly purchased the white glove delivery for $300 thinking that meant setting it up.

I didn’t read carefully, all they do is bring it in your door and sit it where you want it, take away any packaging and that’s it. I had 2 different people help me with this setup. There is a power box mounted inside the cabinet on the side in the back.

This prevents the TV from going all the way down and the top closing. They spent hours moving the mounts around, just like the directions said, no matter where they moved the mounts, the screws, and all the rest, it would not close.

The power box had to be taken off, which its not meant to be taken off so the screws were impossible and we just had to pry it off. Only then did the TV go all the way down. If you are going to advertise the measurements for the 60 inch TV it should fit ALL 60 inch TV’s if they meet your instructions.

My TV was only 32 inches tall and your max was 35 so there is no reason this wouldn’t have easily fit. My suggestion is buy a cabinet for a size down TV. If you want one for a 60 inch get the cabinet for the 65 inch.

VERY frustrating because this cabinet ended up being about $4000 and my expectations were high. I’ll admit I didn’t do very much research on other companies that sell these cabinets, I suggest everyone do their research.

Although the cabinet itself is beautiful, the engineering on the measurements, are poor at best.

The cabinet quality and features were more than we expected. It’s an absolutely magnificent addition to our room. Fit & Finish are superb. Touchstone took care of the shipping to Canada which was a huge bonus.

I should have ordered the IR remote. I thought the TV remote would communicate with the cable box. Still working through that detail.

I recently purchased and installed this bracket in my newly renovated attic. I truly could not be happier. 1. It looks great, 2. Easy to install, 3. Works great. The only con is that I wish the power cord wire was a lot longer.

I had to splice in order to reach the outlet.

The Item I received was not the same one showing on the company web site. This item can be purchases from Amazon for only 179. 99 ,and I pay almost $300. I think I will send it back if I do not get the right one.

My product didn’t work. I talked to customer Service and they told me that I would get a replacement no later that Tuesday. Well, here it is Tuesday and I haven’t heard from Displays2go or from their shipper FEDEX about a package being delivered.

So, am I going to be stiffed the money you have taken from my bank account or am I going to get a working product?.

We love this! The quality is amazing and it matches our bed frame perfectly. The TV was very easy to install. I was able to do it alone and I’m a girl! 🙂 I could not make the TV locks work but those only protects from side to side motion of the TV and we are not worried about side to side motion.

As it is right now, after only having the item for 2 days, I would rate this 5+ stars!.

The product arrived on time, and although it seemed to be well packed, there was a puncture in the wood on the bottom of the unit which I did not see until the installation of a TV in the unit. Since the damage is unseen and does not effect the operation, I did not report it.

The only other issue is small; the battery in the remote control was DOA. They unit, while exactly as pictured, is larger than I thought it would be and it is extremely heavy. The TV that I had installed was 49″, smaller than the unit’s capacity, so I could have likely used a smaller unit but did not find any offered that suited me otherwise.

All in all, I like the unit very much. My ongoing satisfaction will be in the reliability of its operation, so only time will tell.

Fast shipping. Overall A nice product. Came in perfect condition. Love the access doors on the front. 65” was tight so had to go with the shelf that travels with the tv as there was no room left at the bottom when it was in the down position.

The shelf could be better. We had to balance the DVD player on one side and the cable box on the other. Otherwise the shelf would tilt to the heavier side. Quite lift. I would definitely buy again.

The unit is well made and it is nice to have such a high tech and quiet way to “stash” the tv when it is not being watched. The order time was short and tech support was good. I bought my unit with the lift installed and thus it is quite heavy.

Unless you have a couple of very strong guys at your disposal I’d go for the “White Glove” delivery as they bring the unit in and place it where you want it and take away the box and other shipping material.

Somehow I did not get the owners manuals (possibly thrown away with the shipping material?) so installing the tv was a bit of a challenge. We did find one of the manuals on line and there are very helpful videos on the site as well.

Luckily my son is very handy and was able to get it installed in a few hours. It is a major investment but not having the tv screen as decor made it worth the price.

Love the item, Received in perfect shape. Works great. The only slight issue I had was, I couldn’t use the supplied bracket holders that hold the brackets on the back of the tv to the brackets on the elavate.

The reason I couldn’t attach it is the setup on my Tv was narrow and I didn’t have enough space. I wire tied the pieces together, worked fine. Unit is great!.

Wish we had not purchased the swivel feature. The sensor makes it very complicated and delicate. After “fixing” it with phone help, it once again does not work. We’ll be calling (again). Frustrating.

The piece is beautiful, very solid cabinetry. But the technical components are delicate and at times confounding.

This TV lift cabinet is better than I expected. Was fully assembled. Lift mechanism works very smoothly. Cabinet is built better than I expected. Only negative I encountered is the contact point between the lift mechanism and the top door.

The contact point on the lift had a pad on it that failed after a few lifts. It ended up rolling off and leaving a glue-like residue on the cabinet door. Without some sort of protection I would assume the door will have mars in it’s surface.

I ended up putting the soft side of a velcro pad on the door to stop this damage. Seems to work so far but surprised the manufacturer didn’t figure this issue out.

I’ve had my cabinet for about a week and absolutely love it. It replaced a rolling TV stand which never actually got rolled out of the way because it was too awkward on the carpet. Now I have the TV in perfect position when I want it, and just a nice piece of furniture that doesn’t block the view out my window when I’m not watching TV.

I had some delivery issues with Canada customs, but the team at Touchstone stepped in as soon as they were made aware and things moved quickly after that. Customer service is outstanding – some of the best I’ve experienced.

I wanted a tv, but didnt want to look at it everyday so we got this. Delivery was easy. The white glove delivered to the room I wanted unboxed. I had them take the box with them too. Setting up the tv was fine, I had someone help.

It has been working like a breeze. It feels like a nice splurge or nice to have to stay in bed on a Sunday or after a long day. It is a bit indulgent, but hey, anything to make life easier.

Our bungalow cabinet far exceeded our expectations. The finish is excellent and has some really nice features. Our tv installer was very impressed with the quality of the components. This solved a big problem for us and we love it.

Also on the front end, Matt made me comfortable enough to take a leap of faith and order this sight unseen.

I’m late with my review, having purchased the 72009 (honey oak) in 2016. This was a great value among available cabinet lifts. Ordering, delivery and installation were all excellent. We were concerned about the finish fitting in with our existing furniture – no problem: they sent a sample.

The unit arrived about a week after ordering. Since I’m not too far from Touchstone, company employees delivered. They couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. I’ve had the cabinet at the end of our bed for 4 years now.

The unit is still performing perfectly. This has been one of those rare purchases where everything has gone exactly as hoped with no problems at all. I’m very pleased, highly recommend and am currently considering purchasing another.

I did suggest that Touchstone install a power strip inside the cabinet during manufacture – I had to install one (because cords were too short) which wasn’t easy – I see they have not made this an option.

Also, 18″ deep is acceptable, but I would have liked it even thinner if possible for end of bed use.

Overall my experience from finding the product, promptly had my questions answered, purchase was easy and delivery happened 4 days from purchase date. Customer service is stellar. I spoke with 3 different staff and each was professional, friendly and eager to assist me.

My only recommendation is more obvious or clear direction that “legs” need to be installed. Everything but the “legs” were installed on my cabinet upon delivery. Reading the instruction manual I saw nothing about installing legs.

The box of “legs” is so small that I didn’t see it in the box until I went to recycle the box.

My family and I love our new Whisper Lift II hidden tv cabinet. I purchased the cabinet unfinished and stained it to match the rustic decor at our cabin. With the tv stored, the view is not obstructed and the tv does not look so obvious.

I was also able to fit a 50 inch Samsung Smart tv with a little room to spare.
