20 Best Tv Turner Card (2022 Updated)

This HDHomeRun Flex 4K is worth the purchase. This is the third SiliconDust device I’ve owned. The others were simple 3rd generation devices. It was easy to setup and configure. And I’m now set for ATSC 3.

0 upgrades that will be coming in the future.

This tuner was exactly what I wanted. It worked immediately after attaching the cables. This was a replacement for my previous HDHR which quit working after 10 years.

Very fast shipping was the only thing I liked. But the units didn’t work for me. They failed to pick up any channels. But it may work for someone else better.

When I first set this up it was pixelating all of the time so I contacted Haupage and was given some instructions to follow carefully but first I noticed that my aerial had moved in its bracket so I corrected it and it seemed to ne ok though I didn’t watch it for long.

A few days later I set it to record a movie and when I came to watch it a few days later it was unwatchable with pixelation throughout. This aerial gives 100% perfect picture with no error on my tv’s.

Anyway I started again following haupages instructions to the letter and I jave now tried this at least 4 times with the same result every time. Unwatchable tv from an aerial that delivers perfect picture to my tv’s.

Really, absolute rubbish and I waited 6 months for delivery.

This quad ATSC-QAM tuner card works perfect. I bought it to replace a dual-tuner card in my desktop PC that I use as a media center PC (running Windows Media Center under Win7). After plugging the card into a free PCI-e slot and powering up the PC, Windows 7 did not recognize the card by itself.

But installing the drivers downloaded from the Hauppauge website fixed that problem. After that, everything installed smoothly; the Hauppauge drivers were accepted by Win7 without protest, and WMC detected and installed the quad-card just fine.

(after installing the card and drivers, you just run TV setup again from within WMC; it will find all four tuners) The signal sensitivity of the quad card is very good, even slightly better than my HD Homerun tuners.

I also tested this quad tuner card under windows 10 (I have a dual-boot Win7/Win10 installation on my PC) using Hauppauge’s WinTV 8. 5 application, downloadable from their site (the installation key comes included with the card).

THAT turned out to be a huge disappointment though. WinTV has a terrible user interface, and channel changes move at a snail’s pace (where under WMC it changes really fast so that is not a hardware issue but a WinTV app issue).

But what was worst, the WinTV app crashed on several occasions. It seems Hauppauge is a good hardware design company but software is not their thing. Still I give the card a 5-star review though, because I bought it to work with Windows7 WMC which it does perfect.

I don’t care about Hauppauge’s WinTV ap, so that part is irrelevant to me. So if you buy this card, use it with Windows 7 running Windows Media Center. To my opinion, WMC is still the best OTA TV/DVR app that is out there, even after almost 10 years.

– I have had a TV card before and was disappointed with them. This one is working well. I removed a wireless card form my Dell 7010 system with 16 GB ram and an i-7 running at about 3 GHz. I plugged in the TV Card and rebooted the system.

Windows 10 64 bit crashed upon boot and then recovered automatically and left the card without drivers. I probably should have installed them FIRST. I obtained the software which required a licence key that was, as I found out in the shipping container.

The software installed without issues and the TV functionality was working. – I used it with a $30 HDTV Over The Air (O. T. A) antenna without amplification and it works most of the time. There is a piece of software that came with it that allows you to see the R.

S. S. I of the TV station you are watching and can adjust your antenna for best reception. I use it in my office so antenna options are limited. – The audio comes through the computer as you may have already assumed and use a Logitech H-800 to listen and roam around the office.

If I am alone I use my Bose Solo to my pleasure. – I mostly us a 1/4 on one of my two 27 inch Displays and cam move it anywhere I need to. I have my two emails up, OneNote, and the TV on the second screen and work on the first one.

– I will use it to record local news when I am not available to watch it. The pause button allows you to jump on a call and watch what you otherwise would miss. -.

I wish I had bought one of these years ago for my HTPC. The results are excellent in every respect as long as you use suitable software for viewing television on A PC such as DVB Viewer. My tuner card was not supplied with an installation CD so I had to download the latest drivers from the tbddtv.

com site. The main disadvantage with this TV card is the lack of a remote control, but there is little else choice now that everyone uses USB dongles for watching TV on the PC. The few other examples of pci-e TV cards currently on sale that I could identify seemed to have inferior specifications.

Works great under XP incidentally.

Works great with nextpvr on windows 10. Installing the linux drivers/firmware took a little time but it all works fine now. All the drivers and install guide can be downloaded from the TBS website. Nice dual head tuner.

My card came with F type connectors to aerial coaxial adaptors.

Bought specifically to use with Linux (OpenElec); the card itself works perfectly and is a doddle to install, it’s getting the right software combination to work that’s the tickly bit! After a lot of messing about, I found this works perfectly if you use LibreElec, as it includes the required TBS drivers.

Haven’t used it under Windows, but is probably much easier to set up. The HTPC market seems to be dying off, so decent internal TV tuner cards are hard to come by now, but credit to TBS for keeping the legacy alive!.

The digital (ATSC) part of the card is perfect, so I have no complaints, since that was my primary purpose for the card. However, the analog part leaves a lot to be desired. This is not a problem with the seller.

His description is exactly correct, and describes the card perfectly. However, if the buyer doesn’t understand this card’s limitations, they may be disappointed. Please note that this is a hybrid card, which means that you can either record a digital (ATSC) signal, or an analog (NTSC) signal, but not both at the same time.

If you thought this would allow tuning of both simultaneously, you will be disappointed. In addition (and this is the part I missed), the analog (NTSC) has NO hardware encoding. It requires software encoding.

And since the card is sold without any software, that means you need to have the correct codecs on your computer, or you will not be able to record analog signals. And if you want to get these codecs from Hauppauge, you will need to pay for them, since they come with WinTV 7, which is not available for free.

Also, keep in mind that even when you have the correct codecs for analog encoding, this is a very CPU intensive process. If you are trying to put this in an older, single core system, you are going to be very disappointed in the performance.

With all that said, if all you want is a good TV tuner that captures modern, digital over the air (ATSC) television signals, then this card is PERFECT for you. enjoy.

THE REMOTE IS GOOD EXCEPT IT DOESN’T HAVE THE “. ” FOR INPUTTING CHANNELS DIRECTLY,SINCE EVERYTHING IS DIGITAL NOW, BUT NOT A BIG DEAL. THE REMOTE ALSO WORKS THE VOLUME CONTROL ON MY USB HEADPHONES SO THAT I DON’T HAVE TO USE MY MANUAL ONE.

GREAT FM CHANNELS TOO. AGAIN THE FM DISPLAYS BETTER IN WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER, AND YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE THE CHANNEL INFO THERE, ALSO. IT’S GREAT TO HAVE A DVR FUNCTION AGAIN WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY MONTHLY FEES AS WITH SATELLITE OR TIVO, ETC.

real nice product and easy to install. i am no stranger Hauppauge and they,re products. i owned one of they,re tv cards before for windows xp. the one for xp was not compatable with windows 7 and i have a better computer with a 1080p computer monitor so i bought this one and walmart’s price was around 10 dollars less than everybody else so i bought it.

real easy to install just make sure you buy a signal splitter from our electronics dept before install. alright no digital box needed this card actually decodes your digital signal right from your cable.

intergrates well with windows media center almost want to throw away my tv set. this card does what more expensive stuff does. deffently a great value. plus it records tv set this up as your dvr. i would match this up with a good gpu like a gtx 560 or 560 ti and up.

Beim SuperMicro ist nach einigen Sekunden schluss mit dem Stream, IBM startet mit NMI immer wieder neu. Tests stehen noch an beim HPE Servern, aber bin jetzt schon bereits start enttäuscht. Im Internet findet man einen Workaround mit “debug=7”, aber dieser füllt die Logs (innert einigen Minuten 500MB an Logs).

Ergo muss man die Logs filtern und artet somit in unnötige Zusatzaufwände. Für diejeingen die mit “Es ist für das Desktop konzipiert. “: Für Desktop braucht man kaum 4x Tuner, oder?.

There are cases where it is necessary to use a TV tuner on a computer instead of finding a floating TV elsewhere. The small omnidirectional antenna and coaxial connection can be finicky and are not suited for usage with a window with wind.

Having said that, it works perfectly perched on the other side of the window, and the included software and code have DVR-like capabilities. The short USB cable extension is also useful when necessary.

It would be cool if the group could make a Mac-friendly version of the software, but everything is working as advertised.

I wanted to receive off-air TV on my laptop and chose this product because of the reviews and because I like the dual tuner capability, i. e. to receive two channels at once. It is a little disappointing to be a USB 2.

0 connection however in the USA there does not appear to be many alternatives to this product with extensive reviews and it is because of the reviews I made the final decision to purchase this product.

Fortunately, so far it has lived up to its reviews and its advertised tech specs and operational ability. It installed easily enough although the remote control is somewhat flaky with a delay that takes getting used to but seems to work.

The little antenna did as well as the leaf antenna hooked up to a Vizio TV sitting right next to the laptop at the same time. I put ABC on the TV and CBS and NBC on the laptop and watched all three at once and then disconnected this item and packed for travel.

I did not try any recording nor go deeper to check out the software and program guide features. Reception is what I am interested in and so I did attach the leaf antenna from the TV to the unit and saw it made no reception difference better than the included little antenna and that is good enough for me.

I am running this on a Lenovo T460 quad core i7-6600U CPU w 16gb RAM 64-bit win 10 pro OS.

Works surprising well with a Raspberry Pi 4. The only thing that didn’t work was the included IR remote — it requires a Windows 10 USB driver for it to work. But you can easily control the tuner with a wireless mouse instead.

I should note the official Raspberry Pi TV tuner does not do ATSC TV channels which is what TV stations in the USA broadcast. This USB tuner does do ATSC. No special software downloads. All you need is in the Raspberry Pi repositories.

Jump to the command line an execute: sudo apt install kaffeine And that is it for software installation. Then go to the Pi Sound.

The title of this review is the real bottom line. The HD picture quality is excellent. The dual tuners permit dual viewing, picture in picture, dual recording, or watching one channel while recording a second channel.

Unlike what some earlier reviews noted, the dongle doesn’t get hot; it’s only slightly warm. When connected to a good, outside antenna the tuners are more sensitive than the tuner in my flat screen TV.

The software is easy to use and intuitive to figure out. CPU utilization isn’t as bad as I expected and it even works through a USB hub with no issues. But the software is buggy and crashes often. If it weren’t for the software bugs, I’d give this 5 stars.

FWIW: I’m using Happauge software version 8. 5. CPU is an I7 processor running Win 7. CPU utilization for one tuner varies between 5% and 7% typically and you can double those numbers if both tuners are in use.

EDIT: May 26, 2018 The bugs in the WinTV software continue to be annoying. Without even trying, I can crash the software pretty much at will. However, a new software issue has surfaced and is the subject of this edit: It records the wrong channel at random times! I have several recordings set up to be recurring.

i. e. Every week day at a certain time, record a certain channel for a certain length of time. Every weekend, same thing for certain programs on certain channels. Three times in the almost 4 weeks I’ve had the tuner, the channel which was actually recorded was NOT the channel I specified.

Opening the Scheduler, I find that the specified channel has spontaneously changed from what I entered! I initially rated this product 4 stars. But with the discovery of this newest software issue, I’m lowering my rating to 3 stars.

If the software worked properly, I’d give this 5 stars.

I’m using the WinTV-dualHD Tuner for my Plex media server on Nvidia Shield TV in Australia. After I plugged it in to the Shield TV and antenna, Plex automatically detected the usb tuner and scanned the available TV stations in the area.

The only issue was on Plex where you have to copy the tv xml guide url (search google), it won’t automatically find it from your location. After that, it’s as simple as binding the correct channels to the guide xml (most are automatic) and you’re good to go.

Now I can watch TV at home or remotely anywhere that I have internet and record up to 2 shows at the same time. This is a must have for anyone with an Nvidia Shield TV. However, I am having some issues with the channels opening slowly, but I’m not sure if it’s an issue with Plex or with the tuner itself.

Overall, it has improved my TV experience and think it is well worth the price! Would recommend.

This Hauppage tuner is easy to install and set up. Their software provides a simple interface to get started watching or recording television over the airwaves. The dual-tuners work well for recording while watching the same (or another) program.

Some features take trial-and-error; the help documents are brief. The tuner finds channels reasonably well and provides easy-to-use signal monitorinig. It is not as capable as my TV at finding weak channels in bad weather, but this is only an intermittent issue.

I am pleased that I received, receiver earlier than expected. It was delivered the correct way. By sliding gate open, and placing package at front door. Then upon departure, closing my gate. Reason for that, I have had HORRIBLE deliveries.

Packages thrown over the gate. Merchandise damaged, etc. Anyhoo the reason for the 4 star. Wayyyy too much instructions. I’m a straight to the point kinda gal. I was so happy it came. But then when I opened the box.

Saw all these instructions 🙁 REALLY!!! I was so burnt out. Couldn’t do it, didn’t do it for three days. I tried watching TV with Locast. What a scam! It’s free, OH! But we need your help, by donating $5.

Anyhoo! After the the three days, I hooked up my device. I did not bother to read instructions. And I hooked it up with no problem. So in all I am satisfied with my purchase.

If you are looking for a simple tuner to watch over the air programming this is an inexpensive option. But if you are looking for a DVR you should look elsewhere. This STB is very glitchy and at times does not respond to the remote and sometimes reboots itself.

I would not trust this DVR to record anything of importance. The user manual is incomplete and inaccurate in many regards.

Hubby got everything set up so it was super easy for me (haha). We suspect the tuner is going out on our TV, but didn’t want to spend that much money right now to replace it. It works beautifully! The channels we were having so much trouble seeing are crystal clear now! Not thrilled with having yet ANOTHER remote to use, but it sure beats spending $$$$$$$$ on a whole new TV!.

I got this for my son, who had an Xbox and does not have cable connected in him room but still wants to watch regular tv. Installation was a breeze, about 5 minutes, and the tuner comes with an antenna.

However, the distance the antenna can reach is only 10 miles which didn’t leave him with a lot of channels. However, I like the fact that the item came with an antenna which gave him an idea of the quality of viewing (High Definition) and the features it comes with such as live tv, pause and rewind or fast forward on paused tv shows.

There’s is also a guide which tell you the shows and the times. The Xbox itself has an app that allows for purchasing favorites channels not reached by any antenna and it’s still cheaper than regular cable.

Overall, very happy and most of all I am saving a lot of money while not complaining compromising quality.

I don’t watch much live TV at all, but every once in a while there’s something I would like to see, like the Olympics, etc. This, combined with a cheap antenna like the Leaf Metro ($12, also on eBay) is a great way to get basic TV channels like ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS in full, uncompressed HD for a single investment.

In my case, less than $50 all-in, and I never have to see a cable or satellite bill again. It works beautifully with native Xbox One functionality like OneGuide, voice control, trending and favorites.

Plus you can pause live TV. TLDR: Inexpensive, high quality option for people who don’t watch much TV to get the basic OTA networks for your Xbox One. Highly recommended.

I bought this for use with an Enigma 2 (Linux) based satellite receiver, not an XBox. This is the same as the Hauppauge 955Q, same drivers, but less expensive because it doesn’t have the video capture cable included.

For my purpose it is plug and play. The easiest ATSC tuner install I ever did. Comes with a 12″ USB extension cable for very flexible installation. Very good quality cable too. Very fast tuner.

This capture card in terms of specs is probably the best out there. While it worked, it worked swimmingly and had very few issues. Unfortunately, I had issues within 8 months of owning this capture card.

Audio would cut out frequently, audio would become robotic, and shortly after the HDMI Passthrough stopped working. Resetting this card in two different PCI-E slots would solve the issue for a few minutes, then after a few minutes I’d continue to keep getting the dreadful “No Signal” message even though both my PS5 and Series X work fine outside of the capture card.

I honestly hate to review it so badly, but I wouldn’t have expected this go bad within the first year. If you get the lottery and get a working unit, it works extremely well with no hiccups. Unfortunately you might get one dud out of the bunch.

This is the lowest latency hdmi capture card that I know of. It will be fast enough to watch in the preview screen instead of needing a second hdmi monitor. It is also able to capture in the Avermedia Recentral app at the same time as capturing in obs if you want a clean video separate from your stream video.

slobs has a way to do this to some extent. It requires a decent gpu to use it so it doesn’t look like it has a hw encoder in it like some older products, but older products won’t do 4k. I didn’t test simultaneous 4k recentral/1080 obs, but it was fine at 1080 recentral/1080 obs.

I purchased this device for my father to replace a Video Recorder which after 20 years wasn’t functioning. As a member of the older Generation he wasn’t Streaming his TV as most nowadays would do. Not to mention the fact, that his wireless didn’t have the capacity to stream much of anything.

The Initial Connection was simple. It works with both Digital and Analoge TVs. The owners Manual was easy to follow. One drawback, the System does not allow for the antenna Signal to pass through if not in use.

Which means whenever my father watches TV the tuner must be on. What I really like about the System is the electronic TV Guide to choose which Shows to record. Unfortunately my father is quite overwelmed by all the “additional” Information.

(Channel number, Name, date, etc. ) All it all, I would recommend it as such. Nowadays one is quite limited to which System can work.

Operation is logical and straightforward, initialization is slick, picture quality substantially improves, record feature (DVR) and playback work fine, high quality. The remote is small, difficult to get around on.

The remote’s signal is weak, often requires repeat entry, has to be held near the receiver. I switched batteries (AAA) so that is not the problem. I bought an external hard drive to store programs, but the unit would of course be more desirable if it had its own storage at presumably a higher price, maybe $20 more.

Have 2 old Magnavox DVD recorders that I use to record Over the air programs. Every now and then there are 3 shows on at the same time that I want to record; so this Terk HD recorder comes in very handy.

For the price I paid I figured it was a disposable device. I have been pleasantly surprised to find that all the recordings have been excellent (better quality than the other recorders}. I currently use a 32 gig 3.

0 thumb drive but I am looking for a 2-4 terabyte hard drive. The included Trinity amplified HDTV antenna was great bonus. Have never been disappointed with any of my purchases from Beach Camera. They are one of the few e-mail adds I look forward to.

I used this with my Linux based MythTV system. I would recommend this product and manufacturer. I am going to purchase the latest version. The final failure, it no longer can change channels without crashing/being lost to the network.

Install somewhere accessible. It will require attention every 2 or 3 years. It does require a DHCP server on the network to provide it an IP address. I suggest setting it’s MAC address to a specific IP.

I bought this item only to install and adjust my TV antenna. I downloaded the Android app and hooked up the Ethernet and rf cables to it. I then went outside with my cellphone to check the signal and quality of the different channels available in my location.

This works great for this purpose. I rotate the antenna until I get the best signals available by watching the displaying on my cellphone. This is a lot easier than adjusting the antenna and then retuning the channels on the TV in the house.

We mostly watch PBS and some local channels. Our OTA signal is poor, so we buy cable service. Did you know your cable company probably offers “Basic Antenna Service”, which gives you ONLY local channels? Comcast charged only $10/mo ($120/yr vs $1700/yr some folks pay!).

Our new Verizon FiOS will provide the same for $12/mo when we are over the promotional deal. Since we almost NEVER use the cable-only channels, it’s a no-brainer to drop them. We love Netflix @ $10/mo, especially with their new streaming service–beats “on Demand” hands down! Think about it.

SiliconDust is planning a new model to include CableCard. This will decrypt, so you should be able to watch ALL the channels you pay for. Verizon wants $3/mo for a CableCard (vs. $10 for an HD tuner), so this ought to pay for itself quickly.

WARNING: My son can’t seem to get a CableCard from Comcast for his set. They seem to be dragging their heels–maybe CableCard can’t get some profitable feature? Check before you commit!.

A very well constructed video card for Retro Gaming. Plays 90’s to early 2000s video games above 60fps. Dynamic lighting and texture quality is amazing and performance rarely dips. Good pick.

If you have a long slot in your PCI slots on an old motherboard (perhaps > 10 years), you can plug this card in. It will disable the onboard video automatically. Easy to get updated drivers or simply install the Catalyst software suite and it will give you drivers.

You should go online though, and get the very latest as the Catalyst drivers will be > 10 years old. But they work fine. The card will give you a very high resolution display and even has tv output. Consult online documents for it’s features.

The 400 Pro drivers might accidentally install – this should be ok while you’re getting the right drivers installed. At first, you can just run with 640 x 480 default windows drivers if necessary. Anything is better than no video at all.

So if your onboard or video card video dies, install this and you’re running. Perhaps not a huge amount of memory compared to modern cards, but it works fine.

I bought this card to replace a similar – though not quite identical – Radeon 9550 card which had failed. The replacement was 100% plug-and-play with the existing drivers and software. I had used the original card for a number of years before it failed, and it owed me nothing.

It did everything I needed and more. The replacement does exactly the same, and I expect it to fulfill its role for the remaining life of the computer. I use it primarily for X-Plane and other flight-simulation software.

I would recommend this card for anyone still requiring an older-style AGP graphics card with reasonably high performance. It does the job well.

BestBuy coupons are exactly issued in $5 increment. Perfect way to spend them if you have some expiring soon and have little idea how to spend. Most importantly you save the taxes. On redeeming, calling 611 is just too cumbersome since it is generic customer care number.

Use the other one in the instruction and it is only for refilling and you don’t have to call it from the number to be topped up.

Bought a moto g 3rd gen on Motos website – was existing customer of tmobile and wanted to keep my number call in advance to advise them you are moving the number over and give them about 48hr before activation.

Buy the Start Sim Card kit – even though the existing SIM fit my phone – this Walmart plan MUST have new activation on new SIM card. Called T-mobile moved over my number to SIM – they advised I lose service for 2hours for the txfr.

Went to Walmart online bought $30Unlimited data/100talk Card – email received in my inbox within 20minutes. Clicked on link in email to data activation and voila! Awesome $30 month plan! Make sure you go online after 3-4days to create your online act and sign up for autoload with a credit card to keep the plan going – VERY SATISFIED – saving $15 per month from previous Family Plan using the Walmart T-Mobile $30/mo plan! Yay! Same great T-mobile service and I love my new moto G phone on this plan!.

Hello everyone. There is a lot of confusion about this plan and I wanted to help clear some up with my own experiences. I am going to be writing a very thorough account so please bare with me. Before I begin my review, let me give a brief history of my background with T-Mobile.

I was originally a contract AT&T customer. I switched to T-Mobile and ported my number by choosing a $80 unlimited everything POST-paid plan. I even traded in my AT&T-bought Galaxy Note 2 to get a T-Mobile Note 3 at the retail store.

After a month of usage, I realized that I was not using my unlimited services as much as I thought and decided to switch to this plan to save money. I first read a lot of reviews and articles about this plan to make sure 1) it was still being offered and 2) it was doable for an already existing T-Mobile customer.

I would recommend that if you are reading my review, you at least confirm #1 before buying this service. This $30 service is being hidden by T-Mobile since it is Walmart exclusive and they can remove it anytime.

To actually get this plan is quite easy, the difficulty comes in the activation of the plan. First off, you do NOT need to buy a Walmart phone. You do NOT need to buy physically from a Walmart store (you can order online).

You do NOT need to be a new customer and you can most definitely port over your current (or old) number to this prepaid plan. I was an already existing post-paid T-mobile customer with a T-Mobile specific phone that I bought elsewhere and I managed to keep my old number.

Oh, and I ordered online and had it shipped to my home. The way I got this plan set up was by first buying this product here in Walmart, see link (http://www. walmart. com/ip/T-Mobile-Micro-SIM-Activation-Kit/24099996).

This Activation Kit came with the MICRO-sim (check your sim size please!), all the necessary resources needed to activate the sim, and $30 of prepaid service for a month. The one I’m typing in now, I believe, is an EMAIL confirmation of the $30 refill.

It is NOT the sim card or anything else. This is for when you already have the service and want to reload again. You need the activation kit above to start the service. After receiving my order from Walmart in less than a week, I went online to www.

t-mobile. com/prepaidactivation (it’s in the pamphlet that comes in your Walmart package) and followed the instructions on the site to activate the service. Before I got to the payment portion of the site, I didn’t need to pay anything and just left that section empty because my prepaid account was now active and already paid for.

I then called T-Mobile customer service, had them transfer me to the prepaid department and I mentioned my story. I was a existing POST-paid T-mobile customer that needed to transfer to PRE-paid service by adding the $30 plan I got from Walmart.

Lastly I needed to port over my number. This is where it gets tricky. You might get unlucky and get unintelligent representatives that do not understand your request. Or you might get lucky like me and manage to get it set up in 3 calls.

If everything is done correctly, the representative should transfer your account (or create a new one) to prepaid and then you must wait 24 hours (its actually less, like 30 minutes to 3 hours) to receive a text message to confirm everything went through okay.

Just make sure you replace your old sim card with the new Walmart micro-sim card and restart your phone to receive that text message. You should also test your phone by calling it from a different phone to make sure you get connection with the new sim.

If everything is working, you are good to go. All in all, I had a pretty easy installation. I got my service and it’s exactly as advertised. If you’re coming from POST-paid like me, remember that prepaid has a lot less features than POST-paid (no caller ID for $3.

99/mo, no JUMP! program, etc). Just a two final tips to those that want to save even more money: From my understanding, prepaid services include NO taxes so long as you do NOT use any t-mobile services to pay your bill (phone, internet, etc).

This also includes AUTO-REPAY (auto-drafting from your bank account every month). If you auto-repay, you will have to pay tax, at least from what the representative told me. If you use an authorized reload center however (ex: a check-cashing place), then you may or may not be taxed.

There’s a check-cashing place that is 30 minutes away from me that reloads prepaid T-mobile free of charge. So if your lucky, you might just have to pay a FLAT $30 and avoid all taxes and charges altogether saving even more money.

Lastly, all the major phone carriers charge taxes based on your AREA CODE not your actual address. Meaning if you have an area code from New York, you will be charged New York State taxes (which are high).

But technically, if you can change your area code (and phone number) to a state with low state taxes, then you will be taxed less. All you have to do after that is call customer service and let them know you want to enroll in paperless billing, so they don’t mail anything to your address (that is clearly not in that area code).

I don’t know if this is legal or not, you can research more through google. But just an added tip for you guys. Anyways, I hope my detailed review was helpful to someone. Enjoy your new savings!.

I purchased this device after dropping cable and installing digital roof antenna. I now get 50 high quality channels. The problem was my VIZIO E-Series 70 do not have a built in channel guide. So I purchased this Tuner.

The Problem channel guide is NO GOOD. you can only view what on and coming up on 1 channel at a time. I was hoping it would have a full guide that would list in descending order of ALL channels ,stations, time of programs, brief description of program.

I boxed and returned next day. If you want a true channel guide, this is not your box.

A good product that is still useful for gaming on desktop PC’s. Also provides support for modern displays and features a full sized hdmi port for sound and video. With 2GB’s of onboard memory it can handle most game titles.

The boost to overall PC performance is excellent. Another improvement is the card only requires one power connection to the power supply. Newer games do struggle on it at high resolutions with high texture settings but can be resolved by playing games in lower resolutions or turning the settings to medium or low.

Another downside is the blower fan and covered heatsink fins are difficult to clean manually without taking the card apart. I would like to see a card that is designed so that the housing can be opened by a latch to make getting to the dust gathering sections easier and without having to remove the heatsink from the circuit board.

this video card is no better then it’s predecessor the GTX 550ti 2gb. i had a EVGA Geforce GTX 55Ti 2 gb card in my acer predator and it worked great. but after I bought ‘Call of Duty Infinite Warfare’ I needed to install a GTX 660 2gb for the game to run.

i pulled out my GTX 550 and installed the GTX 660. the GTX 660 is about 2 inches longer then the GTX 550. not that big of a deal but it overlaps where my hard drive cables plug into the motherboard. I had to unplug 2 of my hard drive because of issues with the cables not allowing the video card to not seat properly.

after getting the card installed and working, I found NO difference in performance. the screen resolution changed. you must set the GTX on MAX resolution or the screen is blurry. noticeably blurry. all in all, it’s not a bad card.

it does the job. but it’s not worth the hype.

Excellent product for what it is. When this model of GPU was new; it was a $230 model (8 years ago) but surprisingly it still plays many titles quite well. For what these are going for they are an excellent value as a bridge GPU (we’re waiting for the Nvidia 3000 series to become more readily available) or someone that doesn’t mind things not being as smooth and super high FPS.

This is a multi-functional box, not just for streaming. Buttons can be programmed to do anything your keyboard or mouse can do AND can fire multiple commands in sequence allowing for some pretty complicated actions.

Button faces can be customized with your own graphics and can even include live data. Profiles can be saved and shared with user communities. All of this makes it ideal for the Flight Simulator enthusiast or any other software with a supportive community.

Multiple pages and multiple profiles can be accessed so you aren’t limited to just the 15 buttons you see. You can have pages and pages of pre-programmed buttons. See pictures for examples.

I was skeptical buying this head unit because of the reviews, but I am SOOOOOOO glad I went with my Gut on this Purchase. Install was a peice of cake, the install video from extreme terrain was on point! Worth every penny! I’m not sure why so many people were having issues with this bad boy? You have everything you had before in a more in depth layout.

In my personal opinion the 7″ head unit that came stock in my 2021 Gladiator was dissapointing, the EQ’s were minimal, the interface was basic and very boring, was kind of a dissapointment in a 50k vehicle.

Jeeps should come stock with this head unit. I have ran into zero issues, set up a hot spot on my phone and bam it connects with zero issues. I’m not sure if people are shell shocked by the price tag or what, but this thing is killer! It’s a tablet, that simple.

A tablet that controls your vehicle. If I had to find something negative to say about it, the reverse grid options are a little much, they are huge and take up way too much of the screen, but the cool thing is, you have 3 options for size and look of the grid, and ofcource you can just shut it off all together which is what I did hahaha.

Been reversing all my life I don’t need some lines to show me how I’m doing. I was confused by one thing, during the install I thought I messed up because there was a like aqua blue/green colored plug coming from the jeep that didn’t ever get plugged into anything.

Not sure what that goes to or was meant for originally but I havnt noticed ANY thing missing so I’m just going to assume it’s not important. Btw, I wrote this review ON my head unit while simultaneously listening to spotify.

If you have the money and are on the fense. pull the trigger, this is a quality product and if anything happens to it I will be buying the same one.

After watching several videos online and reading several reviews, I can tell there have been improvements which has led this product to be far better than I expected. No adapters or special modifications needed to be done, completely plug and play, meaning no extra wire needed for the OEM backup camera connection, nor any splicing needed to make sure it worked.

Everything worked as it should as soon as I connected it and turned it on. I am very impressed with this unit and how user friendly it is. Fully customizable too. Seeing all the customer photos, I was curious to know if I could add my own wallpaper and for sure.

it was super simple and effortless. I bought this because I wanted CarPlay and the aesthetics. With all this unit offers. I barely use CarPlay. 100% Satisfied!.

I installed this unit into a 2020 2 door JL. Installation was concurrent with a whole new speaker/amp package from mb quart. My stock wiring harness was different from the installation video and I attempted to get tech support but was unable to receive the help I needed.

I looked online and found a video to clear up the issue with the rear camera and swapped factory leads and everything works perfectly now. My backup camera from my jeep was colored red (I had assumed the video cable would have been the greenish one because the camera unit from insane audio is also the same color).

Anyway the screen is great and the apps give you a lot of customization. I did have to reset my uconnect after install because the start screen would not go to sleep so it was always looking as if the key was nearby and ready to start.

The fuse to pull to reset uconnect for me is F97. The harness is huge and the devices also take up a lot of space. This trouble was compounded by me adding the mb quart speaker/amp package because everything was OEM compatible which means more harnesses.

But I would definitely recommend this head unit. Looks beautiful and it’s functional and sturdy. Preloaded GPS means you don’t have to be online although I prefer to use waze so I will probably just Hotspot from my phone and run Pandora and Waze and anything else through the hotspot.

Hotspot. If you’re just replacing the head unit I’d estimate an install time of 1-2 hours. With my project doing all the speakers/amps and head unit together I was probably working for about 15 hours total.
