20 Best Tweeters For Car (2022 Updated)

Kind of pricey for a simple set of tweeters. They are a bit airy sounding but I do like the low crossover point. Nice for front end imaging combined with other speakers. Not fatiguing to the ears I think because made from silk.

Also different mounting options is nice.

For the cost these tweeters are amazing! clear and powerful. Could not have pick a better speaker, sounds great!

Tweeters sound pretty good the only thing is that my first one blew after couple of use. Let see how long the second pair last. I have the recommended x over.

These are really clear tweets. It will definitely add some sq. Just msle sure you Wire these correctly

These are the perfect tweeters super loud and mix very well with surrounding mid range speakers. Installed in a 2015 mazda 3. I was up and down looking for super tweets for this car and these were the perfect fit.

No a-pillar install maybe later but a very good solution. Thank you PRV excellent looking out for the non modders.

These things sound amazing! The build is very solid and not that cheep plastic feel. The price is a steal! Honestly, they sound better that my $200 tweeters. I highly recommend these if you have a bass heavy system that needs a nice sounding front stage.

These RT6 sound really sweet. Im powering them with a full range class D amp, (TPA3116D2) 25W RMS per channel. I can hear more details in music with these silk domes than with the gritty piezo tweeters they replaced.

These tweeters sound natural and sweet, even at high volume. The magnets are substantial, so a sturdy mount is needed. Im still reinforcing their mounting points. The kit comes with a range of hardware.

The wire pigtails coming out of the tweeters were too short in my installl for surface mount, so it was necessary to solder in some wire to reach the crossovers. One of the inline spade terminals fell off, which was due to a bad crimp.

Im still happy with the results. These are the best component tweeters Ive purchased and they are inexpensive. Its good idea to use a dedicated amp for them that is never driven into distortion, and set the gain to match their low power handling.

Distorted head unit power, and 100w amps are no go. Use a tweeter amp!.

I received and install these tweeters, they do look a little bit on the cheap side. However I installed them and ran them directly off the head unit with a pair of Rockville door speakers. Both of them sound amazing together I’ve never been more impressed for the quality of speakers for the money.

Now I’m getting ready to hook them up to a amp I hope they hold up well and sound as good as they do on the head unit with more power.

I have nothing but good things to say about these product. I have mine powered by a pioneer head unit and it’s enough to sound great. They are clean and crisp but I’ll be adding an small amplifier to them to really bring the to life.

I use nothing but Rockville in my truck. It’s the best best for the money clean clear crisp.

These Tweeters are probably the best I’ve ever heard for the money !!! They handle a decent amount of power and sound great at any volume you play them at they are crisp and clean!! I’ve owned a couple of sets of these and if I ever need some more tweeters these are the ones I’m going to buy again!!!.

I had to modify the mounting of the speakers from the original position due to how deep they are but it was all worth it! They sound awsome! I actually had to turn down the treble a little bit because it was almost too much when i turned it up.

I have a Blues Audio (Linear Power) set, on which the tweeters were burned out by my Type RF-X1 amp. I had these tweeters in package for some reason, and decided to use them as temporary replacements until I purchased a Blues Audio tweeter set.

Well, that purchase never happened because these tweeters blended so well with the mids, that I was blown away at how they seemed like one speaker. IMO the set sounded even better with these little guys that I decided to purchase some more as back up.

I now remember that I bought them because I liked the color of the dome! Reminded me of the beryllium tweeters. Even though other high name tweeters play lower than these, you will be hard pressed to find a musical gap.

You will not be disappointed.

With a base mount swivel speaker framework it allows the listener to (pitch) or point to change the charicteristics to that enjoyed most by listening. Couple that with state of the art Boss audio sound at an affordable price.

I have these mounted on top of an ice chest stereo, powered by a $30 Pyle headunit I also bought at Walmart. The speakers have multiple mounting options, which is really nice. I could have mounted them flush in the ice chest but I ran out of space inside.

Their sound is greater then the $5 a piece they cost. The headunit can over power the speakers at the loudest settings. This comes into play with my setup since I’m blasting music in a park. I can’t imagine playing music that loud in a house or car.

Nice sounding tweeters! Really, Really helped bring more from the music I listen to. Hearing miniscule sounds that I wasnt before. Probably can do an even better job had my installer sired them directly to the amp like I asked him to.

He tied into existing door speaker wires. Sound great, though. Im thinking about putting some in the rear suicide doors on a 2009 F150 extended cab STX.

These tweeters ROCK! I installed these beside some Polk DB’s and man, they totally outshine the others. I’m running over 100 watts to each of them with nothing but slammin drum and bass right now (which is brutal) and they just keep sounding awesome! These have more high end midrange than the others and just feel warmer.

I custom mod’d them into my doors and was very happy with the supplied mounts and they pivot very smoothly. When I blow my Polk separates I know what I’ll be replacing them with. Type R’s all the way!!! PS: My Type R 12inch sub clued me into how awesome Alpine speakers really are.

*Order arrived one day early* Installed 4 type-R tweeters in 2016 Audi a6 pushing them with factory Bose amp. Ridiculously loud and crisp. Highly recommended.

Im happy with this buy. Good sound, early deliver, not quite the perfect package as package was pretty damage, but no damage at all in the tweeters. Sometimes I feel the high notes are a bit to exaggerated but it certainly has something to do with the power of it.

There are alternatives depending on what you’re looking for and for what purpose you’re looking but these tweeters are very good.

Just got these TW120B’S in today and could not wait to install them. I hooked one up to my Phoenix gold M25 and simply put, they sound amazing! At this price point they are worth there asking price. just one hooked up added another level and depth to my sound system.

Ive got 2 6.5 ds18 mids on each door and one is these super done tweeters on each door aswell. Very good highs, very crisp not even surprised, ds18 never failed me . Very satisfied

I bought these to replace a set of Rockford Fosgate R1675-S components that were way to bright and had absolutely no mid range. I’m much happier with these with a much more well rounded sound and softer tweeters.

The fact that I found an open box made it that much better. Overall, I’m much happier with these and they seemed higher quality and the crossover was easier to install.

I’m completely sold on Alpine now. I researched 6. 5 in speakers for a few weeks before settling on these. I like bass and these provide plenty off of the factory head unit. The clarity is a million times better as well.

I wanted components because I wanted the most punch I could get from the doors and I don’t think I could have done any better than these until I add an amp. I was intending to use the tweeters once my dash speakers died, but only one was included in the box.

It had been ripped open prior to me buying it. However all internal packaging seemed intact before I left the parking lot. Bottom line: these are very well made speakers and they provide plenty of bass off of the factory head unit.

I’m excited to add an amp and more Alpine speakers. I’m not an audiophile but these sounded amazing right away. Another thing that sets Alpine apart is that they include adapter rings for mounting in factory locations.

If you’re considering these, buy them. They’re perfect.

Great Sounding 6. 5 component speakers. They put out a LOT of bass, great resolution and clarity to the sound, The highs can get a little harsh but a quick EQ down on the top end will fix that. They also can be powered off a stock head unit, even better off a aftermarket one.

I have not used them on a amp but I suspect they would sound amazing.

Only bought these bc there were $29 and were supposedly 500 watts. They are 120watts max. 60rms. And sound nothing like a super tweeter. Very quiet scratchy sound.

At first I didnt know what I was in for, when I saw them, but let me say I am shocked that running a set off a pioneer head unit with some component speakers made a huge difference the quality of sound for the price is a no brainer! I have them in a 2002 Honda Civic and those tweeters scream at 40×4 pioneer radio.

I have these hooked to a Crunch GP 1000. 4 and these things scream. I have 3 10 subs and needed something to create some sound over those subs and these are it. reasonably priced, easy to install and RMS is high which in my opinion is the best feature.

These are the best dome tweeters I’ve heard anywhere close to this price – I have an old Ford Focus & I didn’t want to cut the interior up to install flush-mount tweeters; the little pod-mounts work perfectly! I have 3 pair now & plan on making another install soon.

Three tool boxes for the price of one. So what is the catch? Well, having received this threesome and used them for a short while I would say they are excellent value for money. They are not top notch tool boxes, but you would not expect them to be for this sum.

Nevertheless, they are sturdily built with strong catches, and have a single removable tray. Overall good quality and great value.

Great look , but underperforming. My 7 dollar power acoustic pair of tweeters out performed these things. But then again, I hear things most people don’t so it may be a great buy for you. The sound isn’t clean enough for me.

I installed them on a 100 watt amplifier with noise filters and they still distorted. Took them off the amplifier and they didn’t distort as much but still gave me a little spitting.

These tweets give me clear and crisp highs. They come w the crossovers built in. The terminals have quick connects so it makes them easy to install/uninstall. If i had to guess the wiring is 16ga. Really impressed w the manufacturing very solid.

dosent have that cheap feel these tweeters rank up w some of the top name brands for me. I would recommend these tweets no question about them. They will make a great addition to your sound system.

Third pair I’ve owned. Perfect sounding never harsh handle decent watts for sensitivity. I believe in expensive subs but you can seriously make $35 rock with cheap tweeters crossed over correctly

These are bright tweeters. Don’t just throw them in a cabinet with the provided capacitor. I run them with a modified JBL crossover in my cabinets with an l-pad and I use an active 10 band graphic EQ for tuning.

I crossed them at 5000 HZ. They compliment 3 way speaker systems well. These aren’t top of the line but work good for the money if you like the bullet horn style.

Solid built little tweeters. Heavy built with large magnets. Put these in some old Crate 10 enclosures that had blown up tweeters. Wasnt expecting much honestly. I was floored with the crispness of these.

Im sure the blew away the crappy originals because the highs sounded better than the woofer at any volume. Not harsh, clipping, or distorted even pushed hard. Thinking about replacing the original 10 drivers with some Pyles as I really like these well built enclosures.

For the price you will NOT find better.

I put these in some old 12″ Marantz floor speakers that came with 4 ohm phenolic ring tweeters that I blew out. I got these because they were cheap, but I got a lot more than I was expecting! I’m hearing upper treble sounds that the factory tweeters just couldn’t produce! With these PDBT19’s I had to turn down the treble on my amp more than I ever have with any other speaker before, but when I got to the sweet spot they sounded great.

Very loud and crisp, without sounding harsh at all. That’s a good combination. They even come with crossovers caps. I’m gonna build some 15″ 3-ways with these. Don’t judge them right out of the box. They needed a break in period of around 3 or 4 hours of moderate volume before they sounded their best.

They’re a great value! Housing is made of a substantial piece of aluminum.

Haven’t installed the components as of yet. However upon receipt of the tweeters, one of the center cone sections was pointed off in one direction. Upon further inspection this was a result of poor manufacturing quality.

I took apart the tweeter and re- glued the center section. Second. The recommended crossover frequency in the manual (900hz) and the supplied capacitor doesn’t correspond. The supplied cap is 225j which corresponds to 2.

2 mfd. At 4 ohms, the crossover frequency is 18khz. (These are 4 ohm tweeters) I would think there is a better solution than the cap provided with the product. I sure hope they sound good- this is frustrating thus far.

These tweeters are LOUD. plain and simple. i run nothing but DS18 audio in my truck. DS18 has the BEST audio equipment money can buy and i would recommend their products to anybody! They hit the nail on the head every time and never seize to put a smile on my face with their products.

These are on my 2019 Harley Streetglide Special and really make a difference with the highs.

My buddy purchased these at an audio shop for $50 which seemed overpriced to me. We went home and these things were loud and you can notice a tremendous difference with them installed. I saw these for $18 and what a steal.

These things sound great. One thing I will say is that they sound much louder when you have an aftermarket radio. They are loud with the stock head unit but with an aftermarket one, they sound even better.

I bought these tweeters to compliment a 12 inch sub and two 6×9’s. I can’t beleive how much of a difference they made! I never ran tweeters in my vehicle sound systems before-let me tell you the highs make all the difference in your sound.

I was more in to bass and mids. Highs give a crisp sound against the bass and these ones look and sound GREAT. Made of metal instead of plastic, easy to install , and look pretty cool. I would reccomend these to anybody upgrading your sound system.

I can hear versus in songs i didnt know were there before. Wife noticed the diiference straight off when riding. GET SOME.

Super brite!! Almost to brite! After install you will find yourself readjusting the sound of your stereo quite a lot! One more thing, its not stated by anyone who sells these, I found out on the Soundstream website.

The Ds18 compression drivers with included protector are a five star product because they have 108 db of output @1 watt rms, @ 1 meter! Add the full 60 watts rms to that astounding number, and you will be heard on the moon every time you turn it up!.

And the value per dollar is out of this world, too. You can enjoy rock concert impact for entry level pricing,easily worth double, IMO. My Ds18 collection is in the pics.

Great very loud and does the job very well. Great buy and looking to get more. Downside they should came in a pack of 4 r 8. But I love this speaker. now it make me have 24 midrange and highs in my tahoe and got 6 fithteen inch subs.

It gets more vocal sound than a tweet. I give it a number # 4 out of 10. I recommended spending a little more money on good quality. Then Going cheap? Expect it to be cheap.

These tweeters bring my whole audio system together. Im running two 6. 5s and two 4. 5s and one 10 Sub. Before the install of these tweeters the sound was very dull, but now my system sounds crystal clear.

Sound amazing for the price. Bright, clear, not harsh. Similar to hard dome sound. I’m using them as rear fill, so I can’t attest to image quality.

Awesome tweeters! Im an audio fanatic and I was just testing these in my 2018 Ram 1500 just to hear the effectiveness and this is like the icing on a cake, just perfect and sweet. It sounded great on the inside roof above the backseat in my truck as my front seats already have a great setup where these are unnecessary there but I will be adding tweeters to the backseat roof.

This is a must for great installs.

What an upgrade to the oem factory tweeters. And these have built in crossovers. I wanted to maintain the oem look and didnt want to surface mount. So, I took the tweeters apart. Its actually much easier than expected.

All you need is a heat gun and melt the glue that holds the tweeters in their casings, and then a little prying. The tweeters come with everything you need, including wires and bullet connectors for your existing wires.

I have probably bought about six pairs of these off Ebay in the last five years. I love them, they are a Brand name product and built fairly well. These are designed on an angle, so if you are careful to pay attention to the direction you mount the base plates, you can direct which direction you want them to fire= up, down, right, left.

I have never had a pair go out on me and I always run then on Custom Aftermarket systems! IT is a Very good idea to make sure that you use the Provided Nut plates with the small screws to attach these to your panels, that way if the screws loosen up or strip out later (from slamming the door) , the tweeter will not fall off.

One piece of advice for mounting= these can sometimes pop off the mounting bases, I highly recommend putting silicone on each tab before you snap them on the base plate for Final assembly. Once the silicone dries they will never just “pop” off the base plate.

If you need to remove them later, just wiggle and give it a pull and the silicone will come loose. These are some of the Best Ones out there, especially Value for Money! I will keep buying these as long as I can! I just put four in my new car.

2 in the front seat, 2- in the rear seat. Very Loud and Clear :).

These are amazing, that guy I’m guessing didn’t filter any of the low end out of the power going to these. These are not crossed over so you need to add a filter cap on them from a full range signal, they handle plenty of power in the correct frequencies but if you just piggy back them onto a full range signal you’re gonna blow them.

Filter them with a 2. 2 uf and you’ll be set!.

Great sound and look good. But only if you need them for 2 to 3 days thats all they lasted for me. I had it plug directly to my front speaker that is running off my head unit No amp. Would not recommend.

I picked these JL tweeters for a great deal, I already had the C1 door speakers. So these tweeters finished the set.
