20 Best Two Line Phone (2022 Updated)

Purchased the phone at Covington Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN store. Sales rep, Ryan was very helpful and knowledgeable. Helped me select the right product to meet my business needs. I ported a cellphone # to a non-Bluetooth router which I attached to the Panasonic base.

Communication via Panasonic headset #KX-TCA430 pairs well and sound quality is excellent. I recommend this phone to anyone seeking an easy and economical way to set up a small business phone system.

This phone system has large buttons and announces who is calling. I use it with a headset while in audio meetings. The phone flashes when you have a call or when you have a missed call or voicemail. What I really like is that I can check my messages from the handset.

It also does not play your message but waits for the callers message instead. Seems to be geared for older people – large buttons, clear audio, flashes to notify of a call, it can even connect to your cell via bluetooth.

I highly recommend this phone for anyone.

Cordless handset does not have hold button, you have to through a sequence to put on hold or you can put the handset back on the stand and hope the hold button works. It’s hard to hear unless you have perfectly on your ear.

I would return it but the time limit is up. 14 days is not very long to decide if you like the phone, features etc.

This is easy to set up. Just follow the instructions. I synced my Android to the system and that worked very well. You can even upload all of your contacts. There is an issue with uploading you contacts though, it also uploads your call history.

So if you made or received a bunch of calls to numbers you will never call again hose will be uploaded as well, you need to go into the phone and individually delete those items. There is an issue of noise if I get too close to my WiFi router, I need to be at least 8 – 10′ away for the noise to disappear.

I don’t use the built in answering machine, I use my VOIP answering system. I paid around $110 for these and feel that anything over that is just too much for a landline.

I bought this system and four additional handsets as a replacement to a similarly configured 5. 8 GHz Panasonic phone system (base + 6 handsets) I purchased at least 12 years ago. That system was still functioning but I could no longer find replacement Ni-CD batteries for the handsets; in stores or online.

Online retailers indicated they had the correct batteries but would ship a higher mAh rated battery that not only did not function, the retailers refused to accept a return. Though I was pleased with the performance of my original Panasonic system this new one is light years ahead of it.

Superior sound quality, functionality, performance. Love, love, love the Call Block feature.

I’m a longtime Panasonic advocate (20+years#. They have built solid small business phone systems at reasonable prices. I retired my old 6502 2-line system for an ATT TL86109 because of some of the new features and I couldn’t wait for Panasonic to release an equivalent model.

The ATT was useless – very poor software design #I develop software), and poor build quality. The Panasonic 9542 came out so I was elated and bought one- mainly because if had received good reviews on the speakerphone.

Although I haven’t fully ruled out carrier sound quality issues, It would appear that the Panasonic microphone and speaker is not the highest quality. When using the speakerphone people are constantly saying -“What?” until I switch back.

Other than voice quality the phone has worked out great. Like cell phones, manufacturers sometimes focus too much on the bells-and-whistles and not enough on the fundamental features of the device.

I would have given a full 5 stars if this one thing wasnt wrong with the phone. Everything is wonderful until someone tries calling while you are talking on the phone. Call waiting cause a high pitch echo that can not be avoided.

Its like amplifier feedback into the headset that makes it super annoying.

This phone replaced a well-beloved office phone that after 25 years finally “gave up the ghost. ” The Motorola is as advertised. The extension after a while starts to echo and feedback if on speaker.

And I have yet to be able to get OUT of speaker mode. The displays on both are small. Still, over all, it is a decent product with which I am satisfied.

This phone is perfect for our small office. Is easy to use and to program. Enjoy that I can program in frequently dialed number and create a phone book for numbers used regularly but no needed on one touch.

Love the speakerphone and is easy to hear on. The digital answering system is definitely a perk.

Overall, I like the Vtech DS6151 and the extra handset DS6101 and believe my choice to purchase it was the best decision given those available. I also purchased an extra base station and 4 additional handsets so some of my comments reference that experience.

That being said, here are my observations. The good: * Setup was easy: plug in; attach phone line(s) and you are set. * Clarity of sound for calls is very good. * Signal coverage is good, even for one base station to its registered handsets.

The not-so-good: * Lacks individualized ring tones for those in your directory. * Lacks the ability to announce the name and number of the caller. * Lacks the ability to rename the handsets (or the ‘base’ station).

* Extra base station does not interfere, but at the same time, does not work in conjunction with another base station. * An extra base station expands handset coverage only for those handsets registered with that specific base station (no hand-off to the closest base station).

* Because of this you cannot use the intercom to call handsets that are registered to a different base station. * Would be nice to have the option to turn on the LCD screen light on the base station all the time, not just when pressing buttons.

I can’t speak to the functions of the answering machine as I don’t use that feature.

Can’t really beat all the features included, the range, or clear sound, for anywhere near the same price. You have to get use to the menus and buttons a little, but was easy to set up and most defaults didn’t need to be changed.

Had just about every feature one would want on a two line phone, plus the ability to add lots of additional handsets. Main complaint is the handset LED indicator doesn’t blink when there is a message waiting, making you have to pick it up and activate the screen to check.

At least the Base Station flashes, but that doesn’t help when you have handsets everywhere else. One other minor feature missing was that there is no option to select whether to auto answer when you pick up the handset.

Other than that, you just can’t beat this product for anywhere near the same cost.

Ordered one base and 2 handsets. Easy to set up, sound quality good, but not great and the handset is comfortable. One cradle came in defective and Vtech was good in replacing the whole set even though I only needed the cradle.

I originally called the actual shipper 3 times before he called back. Then he shipped me the cradle reasonably quickly. One design flaw is that the red charging light stays lit all the time and doesn’t turn to green to let you know that the handset is fully charged.

This is particularly irksome if the handset has run down the battery and you don’t know whether you can have a complete conversation before the handset shuts down.

This is the second such phone I bought; I’d bought an identical model several months earlier, then purchased this one for a different room because I liked the model so much. The phone has all the features that I wanted: answering machine, speakerphone, caller ID, a mute button, volume control for both ringer and handset, ability to pick up messages remotely, and others.

I rated it 4 rather than 5 only because the sound quality coming from the earpiece is a bit on the tinny side, but this might not bother others.

At the time I bought this, nowhere in the description did it say that this is a refurbished phone. We do not buy refurbished products, since they are often inferior. I had to go to the trouble of packing it up and sending it back.

Waste of time. Disappointing.

I have specific features I need as I am in a medical office. The aswering system will not mute completely. The ringer will not mute completely. Speaking of ringers, the choices are all unsatisfactory, including about 4 or 5 obnoxious digital ‘melody’ tones.

It did work with VOIP, Ooma in particular. Also, the time and date comes first when playing back messages, so it is one must delete the message before it ends, or take the time to replay it. The system for leaving an outgoing message was confusing and did not work last time I left town.

Getting to the settings means going to a long list of options. I wish there were more simple land line phones that do not emit signals, yet work with VOIP.

It is an old school 2 line phone with a spekerphone which actually still works. i own 2 of these and just bought 2 more. i am basically replacing these useless cordless phones around the house since these work so great.

thye plug into the phone jack AND dont need electricity. they have a battery backup to display the clock and # you are dialing. The only negative: NO CALLER ID which i have all over the house anyway so its not a big deal.

its not wireless which matters to many people. i use this at my desk and also when the power goes out. It is great to have in an emergency.

Recently purchased this phone. Great for the price. The only drawback was it does not come with CallerID. Had another desk phone(AT&T) with CallerID but it was hard to read the screen, so I replaced that one with the Panasonic.

Purchased this phone for my business so when electricity goes out would still have a phone. I would recommended this product as long as you don’t have to put anyone on hold. When you put the call on hold it will hold for a few seconds and then disconnects the call.

This is a disadvantage when you are trying to run a business.

To begin with, this unit has NO SILENT MODE. If you don’t want to be disturbed by a wrong number at 3:00 a. m. , you’ll need to turn it off at night. Secondly, the controls are awkward and the instructions seem unnecessarily complicated.

And I’m normally pretty good with stuff like this. Third, several people have complained about sound quality when we are talking on the phone. Most common complaint is that they are hearing an echo of their own voice.

Also, when I first purchased the unit, I used a splitter to connect 2 phones to 1 line. This didn’t bother my previous Radio Shack model at all, but the Vtech couldn’t handle it. Callers said my voice was breaking up.

Finally was able to resolve the problem by removing the splitter from the phone line. The cordless phone that comes with it seems to have better sound quality than the base unit on speaker phone. I’m not completely satisfied with the Vtech.

However, since there are not a lot of similar models out there that have a port for a corded head set on the cordless phone, I would probably buy it again.

I ordered it this time with an extra phone unit, but it wasn’t powerful enough to reach the farthest office. So that was disappointing, but otherwise, it was great and it’s the second time I had this same system.

The first had to be replaced after many years because it would no longer take voicemail.

Purchased one of these cordless phone systems for our small pet grooming salon about 4 years ago. Setup was easy enough and the quality good. The 4 phone handsets take a beating but have lasted well.

Answering machine has worked fine with no issues. After 4 years the base speaker went out so I just ordered a new base with hand set. Assigning the old handsets to the new base went well after I realized the handsets must be reset before you can assign to the new base.

I don’t believe the directions stated such. Overall this has been a very reliable cordless phone set. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this phone from a local Office Depot store a few years ago. It is one of those rare pieces of consumer technology that does almost everything you could ask. I have it connected to a standard AT&T landline and a MagicJack line.

Plus, through the Connect to Cell feature, the phone rings when my cellphone rings, and I can answer cellphone calls. This is handy if I am at my living room desk and my cellphone is in the kitchen or bedroom.

This feature may not work in a large home, but in my condo apartment, it works very well. Up to two cellphones can be connected which the phone identifies as CELL A and CELL B. The answering machine works on the land lines 1 and 2 and can be switched on or off for each line independently.

You can also record a different announcement message for each line. It does not have any call blocker feature that I am aware of. But to me, that is not a big deal. The built in speakerphone works OK.

But the sound quality (as with the handset) depends somewhat on the quality of the phone line. I would not describe the overall sound quality as being exceptional, but it is certainly adequate. On the side of the phone are two USB A type charger ports which I use to charge my cellphone and sometimes a secondary cellphone.

These are not quick charge ports but they will charge the cellphones overnight and at other times when I am not using them. I bought two short USB-to-lightening cables (each about 4 inches) to help control cable clutter during charging.

If desired, a wireless bluetooth headset can be connected to the second “CELL B” bluetooth connection (instead of a second cell phone). I have not yet tried this feature. The ringers can be independently adjusted for volume or turned off entirely.

A QUIET feature shuts off all ringers for the time period you select (up to 12 hours). I use that feature at night and unlike on some competitive phones, it is easy to activate. The phone comes with one wireless handset unit that I put in my bedroom.

Many of the phone’s functions can be controlled from that handset. The handset also includes a connection for a wired headset. There is a built-in phone directory feature that, via bluetooth, allows downloading of your cellphone’s stored contacts.

You can also create separate directories of numbers dialed on the phone. I have three separate directories (one left over from a previous cellphone) and occasionally refer to them for older phone numbers that I have not called in a while.

The phone will announce an incoming caller in a computer voice. However, that feature can be turned off if desired. The screen lights up and displays each incoming caller’s phone number (if available) and the phone number.

I like being able to screen calls using this feature. Pressing a silence button mutes the ringer or the caller’s voice as they are leaving a message. I still occasionally use a dial-up modem with my computer.

I have the modem phone line connected to the data port under the phone. This port is a small but nice-to-have convenience feature. My phone shipped with an AT&T Softphone software which allowed a Windows compatible computer to interface with the phone.

I never used that feature and am not sure if it is supported anymore. This phone depends a great deal on the LCD screen menus and some function buttons mounted directly below it. These buttons change function depending on the phone mode and available menus.

The LCD screen can be tilted at an angle if desired. I use a landline phone much less than I did before. But a versatile landline phone is still a nice thing to have especially when working at home. The numbered pushbuttons on the front panel are the perfect size, not too small or too large.

This is a consumer phone that is almost like a business phone in many ways. It has so many features. But the nice thing about it is that you need not learn or use them all. There are a few newer full-featured desk phones available today.

But I think the AT&T TL86103 is still one of the best in its class, especially for people who work from their homes.

My husband purchased a new phone and took in the old phone was only 15 months old and POPPEd then dead. Third phone that has not lasted over two years. The store KEPT our old phone and the accessories, all went back with the original box.

Then threw accessories and box and put phone in recycle bin. Meantime, the WARRENTY company said they would not honor the warranty without the PHONE and all the ACCESSORIES. We never used any of the accessories, just the phone, hand set with cord and line as well as electric hookup parts.

NOW WE ARE GETTING THE RUN AROUND and no honor of the phone. Manager left on vacation and never told other managers to handle our account. NOT AT ALL HAPPY. They sell the warranty, they should know what needs to be sent back to honor the warranty.

We run a dog rescue and must have a working phone.

The phone works good just a few things I don’t like. 1) if you answer the phone and someone else picks up the cordless to answer, you can hear each other answer. The other phones I had only let one answer the call the other one the phone would be dead depending on who picked up first.

2) My line 1 always says voicemail and I have NO messages. I myself have even left a message just to see and I can not get messages on the answering machine. 3) the cordless phones seem to drop my calls during the call and it cuts off my customers.

NEVER had this before either. I am a little frustrated.

I had a wired headset for my home office that died. I wanted a Bluetooth two line phone for my home and business lines. This works perfectly. Both the desk phone and cordless have excellent speakerphones.

Bluetooth is awesome. I paired a Bluetooth headset with the desk phone. My cellphone sends calls to the desk phone or cordless. So when I am home I can use one phone to receive all my calls. I do not use the answering machine so I cannot comment on it.

The soft touch menu on the desk phone takes a bit of getting used to, but is very simple once you do. The only downside I have found is the lack of an indicator light when I have voice mails (through Verizon) waiting.

They appear on the LCD, but I miss the obvious red light of my older phone. Walmart price was cheaper than any where else. Shipping was as promised. Cordless handset range is awesome. I set the phone so that only my business line rings.

Home calls are silent. Note you have to make this setting on both the desk phone and the cordless. Great phone and features for the money.

I bought this for 1 person office use. It lacks a few features that I believe should be standard on any desk phone. The screen is large but shows very limited information. It does NOT show caller ID info when listening to a message nor does it show the date and time the message was left.

It says the date and time at the beginning of the message but I want to see it on the screen. You have to remember the date and time after listening to the message and then go back to the CID menu to look up the corresponding Caller ID entry.

Really ???!!! Also all my other desk phones show the current date and time on the screen when in standby mode but not this one. I reference that frequently. I returned this phone and will be going with the Panasonic or Uniden which have these features.

This was purchased for office use, and truly has more features than I anticipated. We still haven’t fully set up the system to its potential, but everything so far is great.

I wanted to love this phone but as many reviewers have noted the sound quality is the worst of any phone that I have owned. The very first call on this handset resulted in the person on the other line telling me that I was breaking up when using the speakerphone feature on the handset.

There was a loud hum throughout the entire call and each call afterwards. I had read all of the negative reviews on various websites but decided to give the unit a try because of all of the wonderful features but it did not work for me at all.

After a couple of hours, I packaged it up to return. I’m back to my cheaper 2 line AT&T phone without call block.

OK so the sound quality is not excellent. What’s the big deal? It’s still better then most mobile phones. This system has a lot of good features. It was easy to add a third handset. The hands free base station is superb; The displays on the handsets and the base station are large, bright and easy to read.

The call block feature is wonderful, especially with all of the robo calls these days. I do wish you could block more than 250 numbers though. The search feature in the phonebook is a little cumbersome but it works.

We have had our system in use since May 2014 and for my money this is the best cordless two line phone system in the market.

This system is working great for our small office. One line is for faxes and the other for calls. The Call Block feature is great so we can block the hundreds of telemarketing calls. We do not use speakerphone much so I can’t comment on that feature.

Overall, it is working out better than our previous system. The displays are larger and easier to read. Also, we have not used the Cell link feature either.

Purchased this phone as a dedicated link2cell office phone, so my review is soly based on this. The phone paired perfectly and the sound quality is very good. The corded handset feels cheap; its weight is very light and feels like a childs play toy in your hand.

There is no way to default to link2cell when picking up handset to dial, it defaults to a landline and you have to press the button for cell call. The phone settings menu is a joke, you can scroll and select options on allot of the phone features.

You have to press menu# then a 3 digit numeral code. You have to go on line to get the codes. It wouldn’t be a problem, but the phone does not remember settings when it loses power!.

The phone works reasonably well. No complaints on set up and ease of use. Still figuring out the extras. We have only 2 lines and this phone is working as designed. I would recommend this phone for a small business like ours not too many employees and good overall performance.

I am loving this phone. It has so many features that I’m still learning about and having fun doing it. It actually tells you out loud whose calling! It’s a great phone and I highly recommend it.

I have been using this brand of phones for a long time and this model works very well. It has plenty of features and is convenient to use. The sound quality is very good. It does require a 110 outlet for the features to work but the phone it self will operate with out being plugged in so it will work fine during a power failure.

The phone seems to be very good. I am disappointed that it comes with a 2. 5 mm headphone jack, but there do not seem to be any headphones available to fit the jack. One of the reason for buying this phone what the headphone jack.

since it is built in I assumed that headphones would be available.

It’s a nice phone. It was easy to set up and all the features work as described. The phone is sturdy. The 2 line capability is why I bought it. I am happy with my purchase. Staples delivered it early so that was good too.

The machine was functional, but I don’t like some of the design features. For example, it does not record the callerID although it displays while the phone is ringing. I much prefer a different brand, so I am returning this one in all original packing.

This Vtech 6151 Fone is Fabulous. I got mine for $50, brand new, which is truly a bargain. Set up was instant and easy. So far I am only using 1 line but will eventually hook up the copy/fax/scanner to the second line, but for now I am using a splitter, Since after all, I am a Dinosaur Your Faithful Patron.

To get it to work for both lines, I will have to have an electrician rewire my wall plug to a double according to my land line phone office. The Line1/2 plug on the V-Tech wont differentiate which phone to answer.

Both rings go off. Ended up only using Line 2 plug to get it to work correctly – like a one line phone – which would have cost half of this and Installers wouldnt have had to drill a hole in my wall to run the line to hook up the 2nd base.

I just have to carry two handsets around the house with me which is what I had hoped to avoid – and I keep forgetting to put each handset in its base – as they are in different rooms.

We have this phone set in our office and somehow one phone disappeared. We like the set and it works well. We have been using it for several years. I did buy another extra extension that had trouble connecting and I had to send it back some time ago.

This one connected quickly, charged as expected and has been working fine. Overall very pleased.

There are already some excellent reviews of this system, so I will just comment on things that played into our decision to buy this unit. Paramount for us was sound quality, and these units have excellent sound.

My husband has difficulty hearing, and he loves this phone system. Secondly, we needed a lot of extensions, because our house is large and we were continually running from room to room to answer the phone.

Thirdly, we wanted an intercom for the same reason — to stop ourselves from running from room to room to ask someone a quick question. Some reviewers commented that the phones have numbers rather than names, and so the intercom is not that helpful.

We used a simple technique to overcome this, we created a list of the phone numbers (1-12) and their corresponding locations. We then printed the lists and taped one list to the back of each handset.

We also taped an identifying number for each handset to the back. This has helped us use the intercom, and also helps us to get stray handset back to where they belong. Lastly, we wanted a handset with a headset jack for times when we are on the phone for extended periods.

The right headset can also improve the audio experience for someone who is hard of hearing. Unlike many systems on the market, these phones have headset jacks! They combine well with the Plantronics HW261N Binaural Headset.

This headset has a quick disconnect feature that allows you to combine it with different cables to connect to different types of phones. For the phone in this AT&T system, you need Plalntronics 43038-01 Cable – Quick Disconnect To 2.

5 Mm Plug. I was a bit worried that the answering machine time would not be sufficient, but this has not been a problem. We love the global directory of phone numbers. It’s perfect for home users. My only criticism would be that the manual for using the system could be better.

Expect to do some experimentation with the phone to get the hang of using it.

I’ve had this phone for a month now, and so far, the phone itself has performed well. but I’m still trying to figure out a couple things : – Not sure if there’s a way to turn down the volume on the console menu buttons, which I find a little annoying, especially when I have several numbers to enter into the address book.

– Unable to turn the sound off on the answering system. I can turn the ringer off on both lines, but the message still plays when calls come through. Have tried using the Volume button during an incoming call, with no effect.

– Unaware of a way to retrieve a number from the phone book without having to scroll through the entire thing. There isn’t a search feature, which is frustrating with a lot of entries. If I need a number, I typically find it by using my iPhone contact list or my Panasonic cordless, which has a search option.

Also, the battery life on the handset is terrible. I let it charge for almost two days when I first got it, then let it run out completely to “train” the battery. Not sure if this is still necessary, but it’s a habit.

Anyway, the phone off the base only lasts about two days, even with very little use. None of these things is enough to make me want to return it, but I don’t think I’d buy this model again if it needed replacement.

Tech support via ‘live chat’, 8. Buttons around the numeric keypad distracts keying in numbers, 9. Very light weight charging base for cordless handsets, 10. Display on has room for 9 digits, forcing use of a 2nd line, 11.

No charge lite on cordless charger stand. Notes; 1. 75′ less range then Motorola similar feature phone, 2. Phonebook access not as good as Motorola.

Not thrilled. Replacing previous Panasonic set. This one was more difficult to set up and doesn’t have nearly as many places to use a “back” option. Instead, you have to hit “exit” and start the whole process over again.

From what I can tell–and it hasn’t been worth the hassle to pursue it further yet–the one-touch dial and speed dial are pretty much the same thing, so what’s the point? The handsets have fewer features and also don’t include the “back” option.

Harder to read and no volume control button on the the side that could be used while still holding the phone to the ear while talking to someone, a function I used frequently. Now you have to take the phone away from your ear and try to find the small print that tells you what to push for volume.

Also, in setting it up as well as in use, it repeatedly throws the intercom option at you–which, shock! can’t be backed out of–and I don’t have any interest in using one phone to call another inside the house, so I don’t know why they keep pushing that.

The instruction book is difficult to understand and on many things it’s been easier to simply try various things and see what works rather than read their convoluted descriptions of how to use what. Twice in two days I had calls during which the people at the other end simply stopped being able to hear me.

Don’t know if I got a lemon or if it’s a more cheaply made and overpriced version of the last version I had.

This phone is simple and easy to figure out. You can adjust the ring level from off and all the way to high. The speaker phone works well. Messages on the answering machine are loud and clear. It has large letters for people with low vision The numbers on the buttons are large as well.

The display is large and you can adjust the white background behind the text to go darker or lighter. I just use the main phone so don’t know how well the handset works. There was a battery included for the handset with my phone.

I purchased this phone at Office Depot in Jupiter ,Florida based on the suggestion of my very capable point man Keion. Since I still have a Landline this phone set up was a great choice for my needs.

It has many features which I don’t use since I just need the basics. So far I am very pleased with this phone and can recommend to potential buyers. It serves my purpose well. Manfred H. Braig.

This Panasonic phone system works great for your home office. I’ve used this model for years and it works well. (my last set got fried in a power serge). My only comment is that this produce was listed as new in the box but in fact it was used.

I scrolled through the caller ID and a host of calls were received back in April. the price was great! the product works great and all components were included and clean.

This phone is Great!. Corded main phone with 2 Wireless Handsets. plus Useful features. Call Block. Speaker Voicemail. Fax machine connection. Etc. Wonderful!. So Glad it has the Corded “main station” for Security reasons.

Many phones are Only Wireless! Have purchased this Exact unit for 2 of our relatives plus myself previously. I’ve purchased 4 units in the past.
