20 Best Ultrasonic Mice Repeller (2022 Updated)

About 4 years ago a family member gave us two of the Mole Chasers when they moved into a condo. We originally had a small yard and two Chasers rid the yard of moles within about a month. The batteries lasted all summer.

A couple of years ago when we moved to a new house with a bigger yard we had moles everywhere so put out the same two chasers. They still worked fine (with new batteries) and seemed to rid the big yard of moles the first year.

This year the moles are back because I didn’t put new batteries in when the other batteries died. The two original Chasers are still alive and humming! I’m going to buy two or three more Chasers to cover the big new yard.

I think the batteries last a long time. At least through a summer. When buried in the ground, we do not find the periodic humming objectionable. We leave about 3 inches of the top showing so the top is easy to screw off.

We just put them in areas where we won’t mow over them and break them. Directions say something about the humming not penetrating through cement so you may have to buy more to cover all areas between sidewalks and patios.

We love these things!.

Not impressed. Had a Sunbeam one years ago and worked great – until time to change batteries several months later – never worked again. Was nicely constructed so have no idea why never worked again. This one however is very cheap construction – you have to dig the hole cuz the cheap plastic tube could never be pushed into the ground.

Also, they claim you can mow over it. Yea, if you keep your blade 6″ off the ground. see the striations below the cap in the picture here? That is where ground level should be. As for working? After digging, positioning, etc.

and NEW batteries (4-D) seemed to be working fine. Audible tone though, my previous one was just a thumper, this one uses sound waves I guess. Not real noticable if you are like 20ft away or have ambient background noise about.

I checked on it a few times during the day and last thing at night. Seemed to be working fine. Next morning? nada – dead. Pulled out batteries and triple checked insertion and even put each on a tester.

NO reason why this thing will no longer work. Returned immediately for refund. Walmart service desk employee even still remembered me from when I picked the item up. Great customer service for a horrible product.

Did NOT want a solar one but ordered a couple from elsewhere to try. Such a shame a simple product like this cannot be made somewhat durable. Save your time and money.

Had a mole problem. They were digging up my yard. Bought two and put them one on each side of house. So far haven’t noticed any holes. The moles do not like the ringing noise the reseller makes when batteries are installed.

Victor Pest makes great rodent problems solved. This ultrasonic driven device wards off the creatures from even thinking to make access to the room. I have been using these for ten years at six remote cabins and hilltop radio sites.

No rodent has settled in at any of them. Make sure the device is unabstructed by any furniture or other solid that would deflect the sound wave. The 3speaker one will cover 500 sq. ft. They have lasted about 5 years of 24 hours all year long use.

Some are going on 6 years now. When red light stops flashing inside the speaker grill, there dead.

When you’ve had an issue with mice invading your home you will never forget the feeling you had when you heard the little noises they made in the night. After encountering that twice I was more than happy to give this product a try.

I have THREE cats who all seemed happy to alert me to the issue but not so interested in taking care of it. That said, the last time I heard the little noises and noticed the little leftovers under the sink I installed the Victor Ultra Sonic Pest Chaser Rodent Repeller.

It was very easy to do, I just plugged it in and set it on the cabinet floor. The unit itself was a bit bigger than I expected but I was happy to clear out a space for it under the sink. I haven’t heard one single noise under the sink since the installation about a week ago, no little gift packages on the cabinet floor.

That made me happy! The unit itself is interesting. It makes no noise but the three heads (or “eyes”) pulse on and off with a creepy red glow. With Halloween just around the corner I plan to borrow it from the cabinet and put it into my window for the trick-or-treaters!.

Seems to startle ants when the green light turns on. Have had it plugged in for two weeks in two bedrooms and kitchen. Mice stopped coming into the bedrooms. Still see mice (one at a time) in the kitchen once or twice a week, but don’t see pellets left behind anymore.

Mouse/mice runs quickly back downstairs. Wondering if another set of 3 would be helpful to cover more rooms/areas of the house. Looking forward to see mice permanently leave.

I live in a fourplex, and neighbors aren’t always a clean as I. I purchased three of these units, one for the master bathroom, one for the living room and one for the kitchen on or about 2015. They worked very well; I did not hesitate to replace them when I started to see creepy crawlers.

Life expectancy is about 2-5 years but mine lasted much longer. Although we have seen pest after plugging in the units but after approximately one week, they were a thing of the past. I highly recommend this pest repeller.

Walmart I purchased these ultrasonic animal repellants because every year we plant a garden and every year we deal with pests, namely rabbits and raccoons. They ravage around our yard and devour the delicacy of our garden.

We have done everything from spraying to electric fences. We saw an advertisement for ultrasonic and thought we would give it a try. We purchased these because we liked the idea of just simply putting them in the ground and forgetting about them.

Because they are solar powered, we don’t have to deal with posts and wires for electric fences. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and worked within 25 days. I’ll update later in regards to how they fared during the rest of the summer.

I live in a neighborhood that has all sorts of wild life. Bears, deers, squirrels, wild turkey , racoons and territorial birds that keep knocking on my windows! Although I love seeing the ‘wild live’ but they can be distructive and annoying.

I was glad to try this product. I love that it doesn’t harm them but just keep them away from my garden and my windows! and I dont have to worry about changing batteries. Set up was easy peasy. The birds at my windows are gone and it looks like my garden too is getting some ‘rest’.

Did not work for me. I live in Arizona and have lots of sun to charge this device. No matter how much the plug in or sun charged this, it would only turn on at night if i was within 1 foot of it. I tried multiple settings.

I tried reading reviews for tips and tricks. I even exchanged it for another device and I got the same results. I have no idea how other people rated this device so well. Unless they did not accurately test this before leaving review OR I just happened to get 2 duds.

I definitely got my money back for this.

I was astounded at how this compact device completely eliminated every kind of creepy crawler in my house from the moment I plugged it in. Ants, gnats, and spiders had slowly begun invading my space due to the warmer weather, but as soon as I plugged the units in my bedroom and bathroom, I noticed over the course of a couple of days that I was completely bug free, and it was astounding! When plugged in, the device emits an intermittent ticking sound but nothing you’d notice unless your ear is right up to it.

There is also a subtle, blue nightlight along the unit’s perimeter and front which defaults to the on position when first plugged in but can be turned off or back on with ease. I found this out the hard way after the first night lol.

For those of us concerned about using toxic chemicals to combat pests in or around our home, I would highly recommend giving this device a try. Being new to this type of technology for pest control, I did extensive research and price comparison and found that the Brison Ultrasonic Pest Repeller was exactly what I needed at an unbeatable price.

Apartment living brings roaches! Sadly, we’re required to pay for pest control and it was INEFFECTIVE. We were plaqued for a year and was desperate!! I contacted our city’s Code Compliance. They could only require management to spray [which they were doing biweekly].

I PRAYED and asked JESUS to HELP us get rid of these disgusting pests!!! I “found” this product and bought TWO [total of four]. We have NOT seen any roaches, Glory to God!!!! Its IMPORTANT to read directions.

My back garden backs onto farmland, and we have furry visitors from time to time. After a recent spell of wet weather, Roland (Rat) came visiting. Usually, I am very happy to welcome visitors, but not of the rodent variety, so Roland has to go.

These bait boxes will, hopefully do the business. They seem well made, and hopefully will do the trick. Roland has been seen nosing around them, so hopefully he will take the hint, and the baitin due course.

Small mice settled in our house. I had to find a means to expel them. On the Internet, I came across a recommendation that ultrasound repels mice perfectly. It interested me. I purchased this utrasound sound acquisition, and placed it in my basement.

Mice miraculously disappeared somewhere, incredible. And I used to be tormented with mousetraps. Thank you very much for the wonderful product. I do not feel discomfort with prolonged use. The device is light weight, the device is easy to configure.

I quickly received it in the mail! We have rats, mice and other small pests outside because we live close to nature and close to a lake. They destroyed things, and chewed wires inside the car we had parked outside.

since we plugged this in on our porch, the problems with the pests stoped. Even the squirrels don’t come and steal the fruit from my garden anymore. Overall, I highly recommend this product!.

I have a farm with horses, geese and chickens. Between their feed and our family trash rats are attracted. Aside from being clean and denying them a food supply, this ultrasonic device complements our rat reduction and detergent agenda very well.

I installed this in the basement and I don’t even know it’s there, It’s quiet. but there are no rats or mice.

Excellent product has keep a cat from constantly coming in my your yard and on my deck furniture. Haven’t seen any other animals.

Cool product and seems to be working at keeping the mice away

I live in a wooded area, and I get mice in my basement ALL the time. I usually use the Tomcat Press ‘N Set traps, which work great, but you still have to get rid of the dead mice. I usually get around one mouse a week – more when temps drop as winter approaches.

So, I figured I’d give this natural repellent a try. I’ve had it in my basement for about a month now. I left the traps out in case it didn’t work. Well – so far all the traps are empty and no other signs of mice.

So, I would say it’s working great. I think I’ll stick with them, since it’s much nicer to change a scent cartridge than to get of a dead mouse.

Didn’t work for me. I was very skeptical as products that claim to repel pests using smell or sound have never worked for me. I put it to the test and plugged it in the basement in an area where I usually find mice.

My “control” so to speak was to set a mouse trap two feet away from this product. Three days later I had a mouse in the trap. I suppose the smell of peanut butter could have been a stronger attractant than the smell that was suppose to repel them? I’ll stick to a good old fashioned mouse trap.

Tomcat Repellents Rodent Repeller with one warmer and two refills is really nice. This rodent repellent is easy to set up and put together. I like how this product is made with natural essential oils and is safe around my pets and children.

I also like that this is a more humane method of deterring mice and other rodents instead of resorting to more harsher methods of deterrence. I would highly recommend this product to others!.

A squirrel was entering our attic and getting inside the external wall of my daughter’s bedroom. Although we never saw the squirrel, we heard it scratching quite often, especially late in the evening and early in the morning.

Finding a way to plug in the device in the attic was a bit of a problem (I had to replace the single bulb fixture with a fixture with a outlet plug). As soon as I turned the device on, we heard scampering, then silence.

I placed the device as close to the problem area as possible. I was bit doubtful, since I have quite a bit of insulation on the attic floor, so the sound waves have to penetrate the insulation and then go to the wall below the attic floor.

Nonetheless, It has been about 6 weeks and we have not heard the squirrel since. We are very happen. We do not hear the device, nor does it bother our pet rabbits (admittedly they are several floors below the attic as we live in a tall urban rowhouse).

It really works! I have chipmunks living near my generator. A big hole was dug about 2 feet from it. I was concerned about damage. So I tried various remedies. Filled the hole with cayenne pepper, filled in the hole, sprinkled the cayenne pepper over the area.

3 days later, the hole was back. I did the same with Peppermint. Same result. Went to buy an over the counter spray at the hardware store. It smelled awful. I was sure this would do it. Same result. Poured a gallon of white vinegar down the hole.

Same result. Bought moth balls to fill in the hole. Same result. The most they would not re-dig their hole was 3 days. I bought this product. Day 6 – NO HOLE! Very, very pleased!.

I have one plugged in by my front door. Also put another in the garage when we noticed some rodent activity in the area due to some construction. I’ve seen one rat – it approached the back of the house and turned around and went back the way it came.

One did get up to the house when we had a heavy snow storm and died directly under the unit. Not a fun thing to find but it probably couldn’t find it’s way out. Who knows how these things think. No activity in the garage.

Very easy to install, and looks to more durable (Aluminum Housing) versus previously purchased plastic ones that failed due to cracking. I have also tried a couple of solar operated ones that failed when units were accidently stepped on while kids played in yard.

It’s been about a week since installation and I have already seen a reduction in mole/vole activity so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I did paint the caps fluorescent orange to help locate them once the grass grows up around them.

Bought four of these because of the size of my yards. One in the front got rid of the moles. One on the side yard was supposed to get rid of chipmunks. I hate chipmunks. Cute but extremely damaging to property.

It didn’t work for the munks. One in the back has protected the garden well and the fourth is going in the ground this weekend. No more moles in my yard. The job is done. Had to bury a couple to avoid tripping on them so don’t forget where you put them.

Haven’t had to change any batteries of course as I just installed them but I like that I don’t have to dig them up to change the batteries. My hound dogs don’t even know they’re there.

I put the molechaser in the ground at a tunnel and within 2 days I had 3 tunnels heading towards the fence. Problem solved. A great value at a good price. I have used this product in the past after having an exterminator out twice, bombs, traps.

none of which worked. It is easy,effective and safe for the pets. The sound doesn’t bother the cats.

Our neighborhood has suddenly become the target of roof rats! They came into the house. I still don’t know how. I purchased and used traps, but I could still find signs of rats inside the house. I purchased one of these, uncertain as to how effective it would be.

I was surprised that, even though the triangle strobe light housing was loose when I received it, it actually seemed to pursuade the beasties to leave the areas in which I used it. The unit has several ways to function.

The three sets of strobe lights show in several patterns, one row at a time, all three on at the same time, etc. There is a button to push for a variety of sounds (rats in pain, dogs, cats, wierd sounds, or sounds that the rats can hear, but our dogs and people cannot hear).

Upon discovering it’s effectiveness, I purchased two more of these. Because I have dogs (one of which becomes hyper if he hears the sounds emitted by this machine) I set it to silent with the strobe working.

That seems to be effective, as I haven’t been disturbed by the “unwanted beasties” for weeks. I recommend the Loraffe Plug-in Rodent Repellent Ultrasonic 4-in-1 Pest Repeller.

We live in the country and so mice are inevitable but not welcome in the garage. I got this pest repeller because I got the portable model (made for vehicles) from the same company and literally had a mouse jump over my leg to escape the car (see separate item’s review-we named the mouse Alfred).

Since that first portable purchase, I have purchased 2 for my truck and 3 for my RV. I change the batteries monthly so I was looking for a more powerful (meant for bigger spaces) and plug in model for the garage.

That’s what led me to this model. From what I can see, it’s working great. We have traps (live and snap) all over the garage and what we have caught in the 2 weeks I’ve had this unit is way down from normal.

I can’t fault the unit for us still catching because we knew there were mice in the garage and they have to have a reasonable amount of time to find their way back out. But I’m convinced it’s working.

I have it on silent (to humans) mode because you could hear the predator sounds upstairs when I had them on. Still seems to work. Considering buying another one for the feed room in the barn. Impressed with build quality and seems sturdy.

I purchased this to put near a car in my metal building because I have been having trouble with rats getting in the engine. I have night vision cameras there and had recordings of a rat moving around in the engine compartment every night this week.

I received this item Friday and placed it at the front of the engine compartment with the hood open and there was no sign of any rats since then. Fingers crossed that this does the trick to keep them out of my car.

Its much smaller than I expected and the strobe lights don’t seem that bright, but the animal noises it makes are really cool. I am happy to have one that I can plug-in and I wont have to worry about changing batteries.

I may put another one in the building just to try and keep critters out of the whole building. I had used a rodent spray and dryer sheets earlier in the week and three hours after doing this, I had a video of a rat running around in the engine, so that’s not effective at all.

I am so happy with this amazing little gadget and will post back again, if it continues to keep my car free of rat sightings or not. It could save me hundreds of dollars.

I have a bird feeder that I brought on Amazon and the squirrels got into it because there is nothing to keep them out. So the question is Will this product keep birds away from the feeder too or just the animals listed on the box? My bird feeder is one of those clear plastic water proof ones that sits on the window using suction cups and it is high because birds can fly, but I’m actually surprised that the squirrels could actually reach it and knock all the food out of the tray.

I hope that it does keep the squirrels out without any problems.

The unit makes extremely loud screaming sounds and more than just the frequency sounds it describes. I think that it is defective and we have unplugged it. Looks like we wasted a $100. 00. Would not recommend to anyone.

I almost bought the 12volt (connect to a specific vehicle version) but then it would always be connected and operating. I didn’t want or need the protection or strange looks as the vehicle sat in the employee parking lot etc.

Having the 110v version allows me to unplug and drive to work, church or the store.

I bought a couple more of these for my shop because the first one I put in my garage at home worked so well. These things do a great job of keeping mice and other critters from taking up residence in your car, truck, RV, etc.

Upon unpacking the Magic Mesh ultrasonic insect and pest repeller, I was very pleased about how fast and easy it was to start using. The instructions were very simple and clear. There’s one central button on the ultra-thin design.

Pushing it once turns on the night-light feature and the ultrasonic pest option. Pushing it again turns off the light and keeps the pest feature activated. I plugged mine into an outlet in my garage, with the expectation that it will help keep unwanted bugs and mice away.

I like that this product doesn’t use any harmful chemicals, and the ultrasonic sound isn’t able to be heard by my family or I. It doesn’t seem to bother my dog either. The product is well made and its something I’d highly recommend for your garage, shed, kitchen or basement.

The Magic Mesh Ultrasonic Insect repellent plug is so easy to use. Take it out of the package and plug it in an outlet. The hardest part is deciding which outlet to use! The light it emits is soft and glowy-it is not too bright but just provides a glow look.

I can say this seems to help minimize bugs, especially flying ones for us. It is hard to decide the levl ot works at-we have had a lot of bugs with recent rains and I am definitely seeing less since we plugged this in.

I like that this is non-toxic and not harmful to use. I do not like spray/odor style bug repellent so this is a good option for our house. I recommend trying this out-easy to use and seems to work efficiently.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. Our basement always seemed to be a hangout place for bugs, especially in the fall with the arrival of the colder weather. So far this Magic Mesh UltraSonic Insect Repeller seems to be working well.

I still see an occasional bug, but there is definitely a decrease in the overall bug population in our basement. I am pleased with this device.

We live in an area that has a lot of woods and water sources including a 6 acre pond. There are always moles, voles, and snakes in the area. Since we got these mole repellent stakes, we have noticed a great difference in the amount of mole and vole activity and have seen NO snakes.

We overlapped the stakes for maximum coverage, and are thrilled. Our neighbors used another product and they stopped working when the water leaked into the stakes circuitry. We have had no issues with leakage and batteries have lasted almost two months.

We are very happy with the product.

Some creatures were making tunnels in our garden and front yard. It killed a couple of the flower plants maybe by eating the roots (we are not entirely certain on this), and the tunnels also caused our newly planted trees lopsided.

We pre-drilled holes and installed all 8 of these throughout. It has been 2 weeks and haven’t seen any new tunnels and new damage. Hope the creatures are gone for good! Oh, and we experienced a couple of thunderstorm with heavy rain recently, and the devices are still working well.

I installed these last week. So far I have not seen any rodent activity but it’s still early. My biggest complaint is the constant beeping. I installed as directed and they beep non-stop, every 20-30 seconds.

I emailed the company and they stated that this is normal and means they are working. I was told to try to put them further onto the ground to minimize the noise. When doing this, one of them cracked.
