20 Best Utility Trailer Tires (2022 Updated)

Can’t say enough good about these tires. Old tires finally went from dry rot. My 5×8 utility trailer used to bounce around all over the place on the original tires when it was empty. Silly me, just thought that was the nature of small utility trailers.

never gave tire balance a second thought! Shopped around for the least expensive tires I could find and purchased these. Not only does the tread look far superior to the traditional trailer tire tread, imagine my surprise when the trailer smoothed out and pulled like a dream even when it was empty! And I didn’t have these tires balanced!! Definitely recommend these tires!.

I bought one tire to check it out. First of all the tire came on time. Secondly, the tire looked good. Thirdly, the tire held well under load. What’s still unknown is how long would it last before it dry rots or wear out.

Even though, there are couple unknowns I still gave the tire a five star and ordered four additional tires.

I drive 100 miles a day for my business. I go through tires like nobodies’ business. The tread lasts fairly long considering the other tires I purchased in the past at this particular price point. Worth the money.

I bought two of these tires to replace the tires on my CycleMate motorcycle trailer. I was specifically looking for a tire that was highway rated – a lot of the tires on line are not rated for on the road use – these are and they look like they will do the job.

They were fiddly to mount without a tire changing machine. Ended up using tire spoons, a couple of big C clamps and a ratchet Strap. Mostly just needed some patience and a lot soapy water.

Affordable for the quality of the product; however, be prepared to mount it yourself or take it to a tire store for mounting. Walmart will NOT mount tires this small. You also have to order online. Based on the price of the tire and cost to mount, you are better off to purchase the tire/wheel combination for $6.

00 more and be done with it. The tire was $18. 00 (Site to Store) and the mounting would have been $12. 00. The tire/wheel comb. is only $36. 00 and they don’t add the $2. 00 tire disposal fee.

These replacement tires were just what I needed and came exactly as advertised. I took them to my local tire dealer to have them put on the rims. Excellent buy on great tires.

3 ply sidewall and 2 ply tread. Not 6 ply as advertised. Much narrower tread than pictured. Very narrow tread at 3 inches, my old tire had 4 inch wide tread. Hope it works out ok. Mounting was free, I don’t balance utility trailer tires.

Tires came way quicker than expected. They were very compressed when they showed up but a couple of hours on the sun softened them up. Went on easy and smooth. These are 5. 30×12 but look like 4. 80×12.

They roll smooth and can take the weight. Would buy again.

Time to replace the original Carlisle Sport Trail tires on my galvanized utility trailer after 18 years of reliable service. Now going with 6 plies vs. 4 on the original tires to increase the load capacity.

Would be happy if they last even half that long!.

Wheel/tire combos arrived as scheduled. Bolt pattern is 5 x 4. 5 which is what I needed. Galvanizing on wheels is very low quality. Looks like silver paint. Probably will have to check wheels regularly for corrosion if using the boat trailer in salt water.

Price is very reasonable. Time will tell on tire wear. Even though tire size and load ratings the same as originals on my trailer the new tires are a little narrower.

excellent product, well made, and the specs show they are a great deal more tire, with load E rating and speed M rating and 90 psi. others are way below these specs and cost more. plus these are galvanized not steel.

which in salt water, on a boat trailer is critical.

Great Tire/Wheel package. I purchased the set for my son’s Load Rite snowmobile trailer. We replaced the axel and added these to finish it off. The quality looks good, the price was right and they were shipped to my door in a few days.

Spent the extra dollars for these due to their reputation for quality, was even told by the local tire shop sales rep that these were made in the US, only to discover that they are made in china. Very disappointing.

They seem nice, but I could have saved $40 per tire if I wanted a cut rate tire. Sort of wish I could get my money back :(.

Selected these tires based on the many positive reviews they received by other customers. They were delivered in only 3 days. I installed them on my camper and they look very good. Date code shows they were manufactured 7/21 so they weren’t sitting in a warehouse for a long time.

I haven’t put any miles on them yet. Will be going camping in about a month. I will know better how they perform then and update this review then.

I put these on my boat trailer. Boat and it’s contents weigh about 1800#. Recently took a 450 mile round trip vacation. All is well with a smooth ride and even wear. I did balance them before installation.

These tires are a huge upgrade to what I had on my travel trailer. The only reason I went with 4 stars is because these are 8-ply and they also offer 10-ply. The 8-ply were great tires for my needs.

Tires were manufactured Feb 2020… purchased Aug 2020… that’s quite recent for tires. Haven’t used them so far but seem as though they will haul loads without issue. Mounted without issue.

Great buying experience and quick shipment but the date of manufacture is July 2018, making them 4 years old already. The recommendation for replacing tires is as soon as 5 or 6 years, and no more than 10 years, regardless of tread depth, because the compounds in the tire deteriorate.

Best case scenario, I’ve paid full price for tires with 40 percent of their max expected useful life already gone. These were bought for a travel trailer that will not see a lot of miles. They will have a lot of tread left when I have to replace them.

I might chance using them longer with a utility trailer around town, but not on a travel trailer at highway speeds. I should have bought local. Besides being dangerous, a blowout on a travel trailer can cause a lot of damage to the trailer.

Tires are date 3018 so already 3. 5 years old. Order was received quickly. They answered my email about age with “We can guarantee that all of our Tires are New: never mounted or used, authentic and legitimate, safe and functional.

The tires have been stored in a climate controlled warehouse and they are perfectly safe. ” Looking through FAQs it says that I agreed to receive a tire no matter the ago. Anyway it is a trailer tire so I will use and see.

I ordered three tires from them and they came super fast which was cool so that’s for the two stars otherwise two of the tires came with a 2018 stamp and one of them came with a 2020 stamp and as all boat owners know boat trailer tires are half the battle of maintenance throughout the years so to give me half the life of a tire that’s already gone it’s not cool so what I would recommend you doing going forward for your customers is make sure your manufacturers are giving you their stuff no later than 1 year old and not pawning off their scab tires on you to get rid of for their inventory to make up for losses.

If you’re going to be competitive in this business fast shipping doesn’t do it alone You’ve got to be getting at least no later than 1-year-old tires out the door to people especially for trailers they’re more specific than a car or a regular pickup tire quality means a lot but now I get to play with tires again for the boat trailer and honestly I can’t recommend you to my friends or my other business partners Not after this with you only wanting to refund me $15 at best for the 3-year-old tires like squeezing blood out of a turnip!!!!! You are only wholesale distributors You don’t make the tires or anything It would be your job for the public to make sure they’re getting the quality.

Too early to evaluate since they’re not on the road yet. However, this whole process of ordering and receiving these tires has been according to script. These tires are going onto a vintage Airstream camper that I am refurbishing.

The tires arrived at the Walmart store in Florence AL. I picked them up but was in the process of cleaning, sanding and repainting the wheels. Days later Walmart did indeed mount all 4 tires for free.

Just they said they would. A special shout out to Randy in the service department; courteous, efficient and professional!.

Trailer King tires bought at Wal Mart appear to be fine so far after a weeks use. I replaced my 4 trailer tires because they were 12 years old and deteriorating. I told Wal Mart that. That put their tires on, charged me to balance them, charged me to dispose of the old tires, then did not replace the tire value stems that were rotten! I later that week got a flat from a value stem leak.

I can’t figure out who is more stupid, me (for not following up on every little detail which most consumers would not know to do like myself) or Wal Mart tire and auto because this is what they do for a living and should have replaced them, or at least asked.

Never assume like I did. I am now having the new value stems put on and the tires re balanced elsewhere at my expense and time. Wal Mart tire – disappointing.

We were very happy to learn that Walmart carried these tires as we had Trailer King tires on our travel trailer from the manufacturer. The price was excellent and the quality is great too. The tires were also delivered a day earlier than the delivery date which was awesome.

The only negative is that we had to go to Discount Tire for the installation because Walmart was not willing to install the tires onto our trailer so we deducted one star from our review for that reason.

In store was told that I would have to order on line and have tires delivered to store. Did this. On line was told that shipment had been delayed but that was not the case. Tires were in the store. On line was told that this store did not install these tires.

This was also not the case. Had tires balanced and installed at this store with no problems. Took about 2 hours but on a very busy day. Tires and service were great although balancing was a little pricey.

Recently called and spoke with a sales rep regarding the sidewall ply construction on the 10 ply tread Endurance tire. He insisted he could not give me that information. After a discussion he insisted he could only give me a “sidewall ply rating”.

Then i asked for a ply rating that was acceptable for a RV trailer tire. He then did not have that information available as to what numerical rating is “good” for that style of use for the tire. Obviously the sidewall ply is VERY important on any tire construction.

Don’t think my question was too extreme; and as such will not do business with this company.

These are the most durable long lasting trailer tires in this size I can find and Ive tried many! They have 6 mph speed advantage over the next best and better traction, wear longer, greater puncture resistance, and greater resistance to weather.

And theyre the last made in USA Goodyear needs to hear us when we say made in USA is a recognizable difference we are willing to pay for We do not see the longevity and durability in those tire models made elsewhere whether it be by design or build quality.

I now have Goodyear Endurance tires on all 3 of the trailers I own and they all travel long miles ( regularly seeing 2000 mile round trips ) Thank you Goodyear for building the tire and thank you Discount Tire Direct for selling it at affordable cost and shipping fast!.

These are my second set of Carlisle 145/R12 tires for my landscape / ATV trailer. The first pair lasted over 10 years. This tire has lots of tread and great load capacity. I will only buy 145/R12 tires for my trailer.

Those 4. 80 and 5. 30 tires don’t come close to these tires in quality or tread. The 145/R12 tires are rated for 1/3 more weight than the other two. Great buy!.

Big mistake ordering these sight unseen. Rims are painted with silver spray paint. Horrible finish with runs. Tires are very skinny with little tread. Spend a little more and buy local.

Very nice tire, great for replacement or spare for trailers.

The bead was a little distorted so it was difficult to get it to seat. Made in China. After trying everything I could think of to get the bead to seat I decided to try the starting fluid method (never needed to attempt before) and was amazed at how well it worked.

I inflated to 40 psi and mounted on my popup camper. Would buy again if I ever need another.

This is the same tire sold on many other sites that I previewed before I purchased here. Those other sites had prices twice as high as this for the same exact tire with a different name. My local store also mounted these tires to my wheels for $6.

Good price for these tires. Haven’t used them a whole lot but they seem to be holding up very well.

Good for first 20k miles. Then slipped belts behind. I have purchased 6 of these tires. Of those, 5 have slipped belts within 22,000 miles, leaving a tire with full tread excepting a 20”x2” band on an inner or outer edge that is bald.

These tires were used on a 3 axle trailer, along with other tires that have outlasted all of these (I typically get 40-60k miles out of this style trailer tire). They’re heavy and looked like they would be good tires, but alas, you are throwing your money away.

2. 5 years and 10,000 miles and a belt let loose on the 1st of 8 tires. These are on my tandem dual’s gooseneck trailer which doesn’t get used often, but when it does it’s loaded full. I was 8 hours away when I noticed a tire with uneven wear.

Closer inspection showed a broken belt. The other 7 tires show very little wear, but now I’m worried about when those belts will fail.

So far so good. They arrived a day early. The tires look to be good construction. Made in China. The wheels look good. There are a few small chipped areas on the wheel around the lug nut hole. They do have the stripes on the wheels.

They are 2 ply side walls and 6 ply tread (2 steal, 2 polyester, 2 nylon-imprinted on tire). Load rating C (1,750 lbs) per tire. Manufacturer date is 4/9/18. So they are 1. 5 years old, but the haven’t been used.

Only time will tell how they hold up. I will be keeping a spare tire/wheel on the trailer.

I needed to replace 4 utility trailer tires and checked with local tire stores. The best price I could find was over $500 for 4 tires mounted on the trailer. Then I saw tires already mounted at the local Walmart and decided to check on line.

The tires I ordered fit perfectly, look good and perform as expected. And, this at a price over $200 less than just the tires alone from a tire store!! Thanks Walmart.

The ad says that they are loadstar tires. They are not. I’ve bought loadstar tires in the past and they last a long time. These Tire tires say made in China. I’m pretty sure they know these tires and not loadstar.

Tires were good. While shopping on your site I thought the tires were with trailer rims. They were not. I called and found out they didn’t come with rims. The picture was for advertising. My mistake

Showed up at my door quicker then quoted. They seem great for the money. This is my second pair as I bought a pair a few weeks earlier and was so impressed I got another pair for my other trailer.

So far these tires are great. I bought a set of 4 for my 5th wheel camp trailer. Bought them based off recommendation of a friend who is a fellow RVer, and other favorable online reviews. Great tread design, and sturdy 10 ply rating.

Only had them on the road once so far, but seem smooth and quiet. sorry I dont have a Long term review. As for Walmart, they did great! Kudos to the Tooele, Ut tire shop. They got me in and out quick!.

This is the best brand of trailer tires I have found. They are made in Thailand and obviously have good construction and materials. The tire weighs considerably more than the original made in China tire that was on the trailer originally.

I have been running a set for many thousand miles and they still are in great condition with very little tread wear and they ride much smoother than the lightweight Chinese tires. You can actually feel the difference when towing with this tire.

This particular tire was bought to replace the original spare which had developed large bulges under the tread. I have confidence that I should have little problems with tires now that I have found a quality trailer tire.

Trailer tire shipped to me was made in 2018. Dry rot is a concern with trailer tires. Would not have purchased if I had known this. This is a problem with buying on line. Sending a 4 yr old tire is unacceptable.

Bought these tires a few weeks ago and installed them on my motorcycle trailer. I have not used the trailer since the installation. I do have a trip planned in late July. Tires seem to be well made and I hope I dont have any issues with them.
