20 Best Utv Light Bar (2022 Updated)

Mounted to the barricade extreme HD front bumper very easily. I used the mounting brackets that came with the bumper and the bolts that came with the light bar. I cut off the switch it comes with and drilled a hole through the dash and mounted a nicer looking one.

this way the wires don’t show and is a lot more secure than the sticky pad this one came with. Took maybe an hour to install on my own.

Bar is very high quality, nice throw. The screen printing on my cover was smeared, but I mounted the light behind the lower grill on my ram rebel, so it didn’t matter, as I’ll never use the cover. Supplied harness had a nice water tight connection at the bar and came with a pre-wired relay.

I had to extend the ground lead in order to reach a good ground and mount the relay in a sensible position. The connector to the included switch had the wires pulled out, but wasn’t a big deal as I was using a different switch panel and running switch power from a switched source anyway.

The supplied harness runs the ground from the light all the way back to the relay ground, and will have a phantom draw on the tiny LED on the supplied switch, but you could probably leave that LED on for a year and not drain the battery.

Overall, the light bar is great, and the wiring harness is ok if you’re not very 12V DC savvy, but is still a decent starting point for a more sophisticated wiring interface if you are. I ran switch power for this and a set of rear lights with a fuse tap off of an unused marker light circuit so the aux lights can only come on when the vehicle lights are on with ACC power or the vehicle running and there is no phantom draw to the switch panel.

I replaced my fog lights on a 2003 F250 with the kd fabworks brackets. Since my headlights are an awesome yellow I could barely see anything in the early mornings and this thing lights up the whole road and then some.

Brackets were just barely big enough for this specific light bar and I had to trim a little plastic but other than that it works great.

I bought, by error, the chrome version. (The only visible chrome on my Jeep is maybe my fillings when I’m driving with a smile, but they are silver!) R C provided a return label and allowed me to send it back no question/no charge (My error and I was forgiven.

) I ordered the black version while calling for the label, telling them to charge me for it and refund the other when they got it. Both lights were shipped quickly and packaged well. Prompt credit has already been issued for my mistake.

I removed my 52″ LOUD bar and replaced it with this new 50″ bar (I had to replace the brackets as well). Surprise!! The new one is MUCH quieter than the old one and the light produced is fantastic! And I haven’t even put on the “silencers” they sent yet.

No whistle, just a slight breeze. WOW! I can listen to my radio and drive 55-60, finally. Very happy customer!! Wish I had bought this one sooner. Now my wife will ride with me again. Great product! Good people!.

I am so happy with my light bar. The only negative is that the instructions don’t explain where to hide the wires and where to push the switch through the firewall but after watching a couple youtube videos, it makes more sense.

I LOVE the rock deflector. Not even two days after installing it a four inch rock was tossed at it and not even a ding on the deflector. Easiest money spent on my Jeep!.

This is a great light bar. One of the best features other than the brightness is the wiring assembly. This light bar is easy to install and comes with good wires. My only complaint is the whistling noise, but you will have that with any light bar.

Recommend purchasing a Aerolidz cover for the light bar and that will take care of the whistle.

The light is a 10” double row mounted on my Polaris Rzr Pro XP. Obviously I use the light for off road riding. The riding is in Northern Michigan and we do quite a bit of night riding as having great lights makes that quite enjoyable.

This is not my first Black Oak light. I had 4, 40w pods on my 2015 truck so I had a very good idea what I was getting with Black Oak. This light is of great quality and construction and the light output is just phenomenal.

Literally turns night into day, sends the moon to sleep and gives the sun a day off, it really is that good. I have had Baja Designs products as well, and while well made and long lasting with great performance, the performance on the XL 80s that I had on my jeep did not exceed the Black Oak lights on my truck and the price, well…, you know.

I am the Assistant Fire Chief for Pilot Point Texas. I recently built 2 new Command / Chief Trucks for our Fire Dept. I added the 10” double row 5watt combo light to the front of both rigs. A couple of weeks ago we had severe weather come through our area and turn over a 42’ fifth wheel trapping the occupants and their pets inside.

At 3 o’clock in the morning my truck was the only truck able to get close enough to the trailer to put light on it. The 10” light provided more than enough light to facilitate rescue safely for all involved.

The occupants and their pets had only minor injuries and will recover without issue. I also run your product on my personal rigs. Thanks for the quality product and customer service.

Previous to buying your Black Oak LED lights had mounted competitors LED’s on my Duck Hunting boat and my truck. However I never realized how inadequate those were until I purchase one of your Black Oak LED’s and mounted it on my Golf Cart.

As soon as I turned it on I was in awe of the brightness and range of distance and width of coverage. I actually said WOW! I mounted a BLACK OAK LED on my street legal golf cart for use on the road and driving within the subdivision in which I live.

The LED’s are greatly needed because they provide such a wide range of coverage beyond ditch to ditch enabling me to spot deer within a safe stopping distance to avoid hitting a deer. We live in a subdivision with minimal street lighting in an remote area of North Carolina.

To say the least ALL the neighbors know when I’m driving down road. This is a GREAT LED LIGHT BAR.

Great quality, good value. Anyone would be satisfied with this product. However, it placement and fit for a 2020 2. L F150 was not the most ideal match. More time, tools and patience were definitely needed to get a good installation.

Great product for the price. Puts out a lot of light. Came with mounting bracket for easy install on the bumper. No instructions included but IMO not necessary. I’m not tech or car savvy but I was able to wire it to the RC MLC-6 without issue.

Easy to install. I installed two: one on a hood hinge mount and another on a Mopar light bar above the OEM bumper. They both look great and are very bright. No moisture detected so far and we have had some serious downpours here in Miami recently.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. The both look great with the DV8 pro series 5 inch light bars I installed on the A pillars.

I recieved the package and the package was damaged as well as the light. Nothing major as I planned on mounting on an off road vehicle anyhow. It is likely to get dinged up as it is. The m ain reason for my complaint is that I did not receive any mounting brackets or bolts.

Instructions did not come with the package but it’s pretty self explanatory. Try to call customer service any it’s a run around right from the second you pick up the phone. The light may be great, but I feel it’s a hassle.

I would buy elsewhere next time.

So I bought this to replace a 22″ light bar that went bad. but when I went to put it in the brackets, it was well short. It measures at 21 11/16 inches not the 22″ inches shown in the ad (from outer edge of the bolt threads).

So now I have to redo my bracket placements to fit this new ~22″ light bar. Otherwise though, it works great and is very bright (great light for the price).

Good quality, definitely bright enough. Mounted on my front bumper an an aux light. Very satisfied

Just got it to put on my new zero turn mower. Very bright. Appears well made. Larger than it looked in the photos. Box was pretty rough on arrival and a few of the hardware pieces were missing – a nut, a bolt and a washer had escaped from the damaged parts bag inside the box and escaped from the box.

Did not come with any wire, fuse link, or switch. So far it seems great.

The light is nice but I already stripped two bolts by barley putting a torque on it. A lot of wasted time with this cheap hardware. No lock washers or nuts to keep the light mounted with constant vibration.

Im un-installing the light and buying new hardware before proceeding.

Great little bar. Has been on my atv for nearly 10 months of hard , dirty riding. The heat of the summer, everything!! Very bright, love the adjustablity !!! Go to you tube and watch the Nilight video!! Sorry, this was the only pic I could find of it mount to my red Honda Raucher.

Usually, when you buy from HFT, you know what you’re going to get. Rock bottom prices, and. uneven quality. This light breaks that mold. The light itself is well built (in a nice aluminum housing), the brackets are good, and the hardware is long-lasting stainless steel.

But it’s the wiring that really sets this unit apart. The individual wires are encased in a thick rubber jacket. The light has a plug with double water seals, and a mating connector is provided. On my project (upgrading an old lawn tractor used for winter plowing and snowblowing) this allowed me to mount the light on the hood and a second, smaller light on the seat/fender assembly.

The other half of the connectors are mounted on the chassis. This will allow me to remove these parts easily for service or repair with a simple connector disconnect, rather than cutting wires. I haven’t used these lights in anger yet.

but they’re pretty bright in my garage. Based on the quality of the wiring, I expect years of service from them.

I just installed this a week ago (waited for a sale) and it is amazing! Well built and very bright. I installed it on the roll bar (ROPS) on my compact tractor. The tractor was already wired for an optional work light, same wattage so i did not need a full wire kit.

I just bought an $8 weatherproof switch and used a few feet of left over trailer light wire to tie into the existing circuit. Using the existing work-light circuit means the light goes off when the ignition is turned off and is controlled by the switch when the ignition is on.

I used Gorilla tape to mount the bar as you are not supposed to drill the ROPS. It has enough clearance from the mounting surface so that I can rotate the light forward or rear. Those I showed if off to shielded their eyes and just said “wow”.

Put my tractor high beams to shame! If you do need the full wiring kit you can find some for about half the HF price. However you will not find a light bar of this quality elsewhere for anywhere near the HF price.

Rode the Royal Blue trail system this past weekend. Friday night was raining and this light lit up the trails very nicely. Great price, fast delivery and customer support.

Love your guises website and everything else I’ve got has been good I’m hoping this is just an accident. No harness to wire the light and missing hardware for the installation. Two thumbs down

The light bar is what I expected and a good buy for the money. The wire harness provided had enough wire to do the install.

I bought this light to put on my brush guard on my truck. The throw on this light is awesome. It complements the headlights very well. I would defiantly get the wiring kit if you buy any of these roadshock lights, as it made the installation very straight forward and easy.

They are more pricy than you can find on eBay or amazon which is the only down side, but the build quality seems to be much better than cheaper lights. They are way heavier than the cheap ones, as I think the housing material is better quality.

The brackets are heavier duty as well. I’m still early in the trial stage to compare with the cheaper lights, but already not regretting spending the extra money on this light. I will more than likely purchase more of the roadshock lights in the future.

I got this to replace an old light bar i had. The quality is very high and seems durable. Have not experienced any leaks or water in the light. I have to say the flood and spot light combo is a huge plus.

This is bright, and long distant. I have it mounted on the front of my truck low just above my fog lights and it helps tremendously in poor weather. Extremely happy with this purchase and will definitely be looking for the other lights from this brand.

The kit had everything you need, however I used my own toggle switch rather the red one that came with it. Simple install and instructions are easily found anywhere.

The light is basically easy to install to any 12v. wiring system. I have installed it on my Ford pickup bull bar. The bright light distribution is very adequate for its size (14in. ) for dark off road driving.

I have only used it on a one night drive to test its lighting abilities. Since I have recently purchased it I can’t really detail more info. on its durability, water proof or shock resistance at this time.

It appears to be built solid and has weight to it. Like all produces, time and use will tell how reliable this light really is. I purchased it because of its good over all reviews. Again, it appears to be a well built lighting system.

Awesome quality and bright as hell!! I installed these about 3 years ago for lighting up my RGN semi trailer at night to chain down loads!!! Next thing I know I have trucks on both sides and 50 feet behind me using them.

They always ask me to stick around until there done tying down there loads and my answer is always “ go to Harbor Freight and buy a pair for yourself!!! There price is awesome! You’ll never find them cheaper anywhere else!!! Get the wiring kit for double light bars and install them yourself!!! Easily done!!! I wouldn’t be without them!.

VERY bright light, brighter than my aftermarket LED headlights on my Rubicon JK. I thought my aftermarket headlights were bright until I mounted this light cannon up! The combo of driving lights and fogs on the sides of the light bar make this a great light for country roads and night rides.

There is a reason there is a legalese tag on it that says “Off road only”. When used in combo with my headlights my jeep now puts out an absurd amount of light, basically daylight in front of my Jeep.

When I turned it on in the dark for the first time, my daughter immediately says “other drivers are not going to like this. ” This unit is an awesome addition for anyone who drives trails or lonesome country roads.

This should NOT be used around other drivers or in traffic because honestly it’s too much, and will completely blind anyone in front of it. Another thing to mention is that this is a nice heavy constructed unit, not like most of those cheap light bars on amazon.

This is a much higher quality unit, and weighs twice that of cheap amazon light bars. All the LEDs are centered well in the reflectors, overall I am very impressed with this unit for what you get for the money ESPECIALLY WITH A 20% COUPON!! Mounting brackets are nice and mounting hardware is good.

Unit comes prewired with a waterproof automotive style connector, and comes with a matching pigtail to add to existing vehicle wiring. If you need to add additional wiring, purchase the matching wiring kit for these from Harbor Freight.

The additional wiring kit is higher quality than any lighting harness kit that I have ever seen and comes all setup with additional waterproof automotive connectors and a 40amp relay preinstalled. I REALLY LIKE THE DIRECTION HARBOR FREIGHT IS GOING WITH THESE NEW “HIGHER LEVEL” PRODUCT OFFERINGS!!.

Using this makes all the difference. It has inspired confidence and makes me feel much safer when doing anything more than the road. It makes my headlights seem like they don’t exist. I used some basic install videos on YouTube and it was a straightforward install.

It mounted up cleanly. I use the 1. 5 inch brackets that cost about $60-$80 because I needed that since I have an aftermarket roof on it. It made installation very easy. I recommend the 2 inch mounting brackets.

I did have problems mounting this up with the 1. 5inch brackets and my super ATV flip up windshield. I had to cut part of my windshield off because it was hitting the rear of the light. Then after cutting a portion of it off, the wind was going to up the back of the fins of the bar light and one of the fins was vibrating sort of like a wine glass when you lick your finger and rub it around the rim.

It was so loud when riding faster than 30MPH it was intolerable. So I had to cut more of my windshield off even though it wasn’t hitting the light. Things work great now!.

Got the light the next day ! Came complete with wiring harness and switch , perfect fit and works just as good as my buddies $600 light from rigid industries! Honestly you can’t see the difference! I’ll highly recommend it and SATV Sales people are very helpful.

This light bar is super bright , i mounted mine under the roof style i bought polaris mounting brackets and different plug ends for my install with some minor fab work its fully protected , but the curved light bar puts out a lot of light , if you want daylight at nite this is the bar for you !.

i have a kawasaki mule 4010. used for ranch chores and desired by a dozen ranch dogs to take a perimeter run and splash in the pond during the night because of summer heat. we decided for a bar light to assist in the mayhem of dogs running and playing.

we have tracking collars, but the light provided with the bar light allows better visual and higher speeds of travel. the simple hardware and mounting was complimented with bar mounted clamps not included, and wiring harness not included and electrical tape allowed for easily installation without drilling holes and somewhat hidden wiring and bar light.

mounted under the roof on the roll cage tube. wiring along same tube roll cage to center support tube. wired down to battery and behind cover plate.

Roof-mounted on my sxs, super bright and handles being hit from low branches, waterproofing seems to be working good, no condensation behind the lens. Good heavy-duty connectors and used a Nilight harness waterproof kit for a perfect match.

It takes a beating here in Tennessee with the water, mud ungroomed trails.

Read the reviews before I bought 2 of these to put on a tractor, which is why I chose them to start with. I decided to trade for smaller models as these seemed overkill for what I was using them for.

I was worried they wouldn’t take them back as they are electrical, I was pleasantly surprised when the Nampa store politely took them back and traded me for the 14″ units. I would highly recommend this store for any of your shopping, I am also anxious to get them installed and see how they work.

I wish I could remember the store manager’s name, she was awesome to work with.

Knowing what to expect, it’s a good light bar. It’s great for midrange, but it is outclassed in the extremes (side flood and spot). It is very low-profile and looks great mounted low to the hood of my Jeep.

On the combo beam, the 60 degree ends do well to flood most of your forward field of view with light, and they are supplemented well by pair of bumper-mounted 90 degree flood cubes aimed somewhat outward.

The 30 degree middle section works great if you’re expecting it to have more of a “driving light” focus, as opposed to a very tight spot beam. It does send out a cone of bright light about as far as a really good set of low beams (better than most high beams), but it doesn’t compare to a true spot beam in long-range illumination.

The color temperature is pretty true white, erring slightly on the cool/blue side. Pressure washing did result in a bit of moisture inside the lens, but it eventually evaporated, and over 1. 5 years later, every single LED chip is still going strong.

This 30″ light bar is installed in my 2016 Tundra. I removed the grill, centered it, bolted it down, ran the wiring and am in business! It fits perfectly behind the lower part of the grill. DEFINITELY get the wiring harness for a few $ more.

It’s a great light bar and really augments my headlights if I am driving down dark rural roads or in bad weather conditions. My only complaint is the mounting brackets. The height is not adjustable and as soon as I ordered this light bar, I ordered adjustable brackets via Amazon.

Without those adjustable brackets, installation is tough. Overall, I am happy with the light and the customer service, but they need to include adjustable brackets.

No where near as good as the double row of lights. Scattered light even for a spot/ flood combo. I went from the 20 inch strip to this 30 inch strip. Better, but not good enough

Took me a few weeks to locate someone to install the light bar, but as soon as it was on I couldn’t wait to get out to try it! Went night cruising in the deserts of Southern California to test out the lights.

These offer quite the light and reach on off-road trails. I am extremely pleased with how well the 20” met my needs for my 1997 3rd Gen Limited Toyota 4Runner. If you are looking for a light that offers the same quality performance as Rigid or other high end brands but cannot afford the price, these are a fantastic option! I now can’t wait for the next night time off-road cruise! Is it the weekend yet?.

First off, these lights look great on my JK 2011. They don’t block my view as much as previous lights and installed easily through the separate windshield hinge light mounts I bought for 35 dollars. Installing the lights on the windshield took less than 15 minutes for both lights.

The part that took the longest was the wiring. This was my first ever wiring job on any car I have owned so I had no experience wiring from the engine to inside the cab. I tried a google search and multiple youtube videos with no help on how to run the wiring through.

I went out to figure a route myself. The first route I found was a yellow foam on the driver side under the windshield wiper hood area. The cab side of it could be accessed by removing the left panel near the steering wheel by just plying it off.

I was under the assumption that the small hole filled with yellow foam inside the cab would lead to the larger foam under the wiper hood. I was wrong and lost some tool bits inside there trying to make a hole which I still can’t get out.

Don’t use that method. I ended up finding a simpler route by taking off the driver side foot shaped piece that the passenger side KC light will bolt on too. I was able to run the two white and green wires from the relay in the engine easily to under that bracket and into the cab.

From there, it was homestretch to where I wanted to install the switch. After routing the two wires that way, I still had around 5 feet of slack to play with. The brown ground wire I simply bolted on to one of the many metal bolts in the dash.

I did find it helpful the cut the ground wire tip that goes under the bolt in half to make it easier to fit under the bolt. Overall without the issues I ran into, the total install time was about 3 hours for an amateur like me.

These lights are great for lighting up a trail at night! Super bright and great size. My only wish is that they came with a better installation kit. The lights have this super bulky cable hanging out of them so I cut that part off and made my own clean looking cord.

Also, I wish the lights had a right and left so the cords were on the same side. I wrapped the driver side cord around the light so both lights matched and the cords are both towards the inside of the car.

My installation was very custom, if I didn’t have the tools and knowledge it would look a little sloppy just following the instruction and kit they give you.

I purchased this light bar several hears ago around 2012 and ordered a 20′ because of the space I had available. Since then I have used it on three vehicles and I am still impressed on the clarity and brightness of it.

This past Sunday I got the opportunity to T bone a dodge truck that failed to yield the right away. Now being that I hit him at 60mph and rolled him , not only is my full size 2500 HD totaled but the light bar was still on the front of the truck and the lens was not even broken!!! I am sure it still works since its only scratched but I am just going to claim it and buy another one.

I am amazed by the durability of this light bar!!!! I wish I could upload a picture of it, its rather impressive!!! I have bought other cheaper lights in the past and truly it was a waist of money. Thank you again for such a great product!!!!!!!!.

Love my driving lights. Very bright light, illuminates a good portion of the area in front of me – I put them on the front bumper of my Jeep and use them instead of high beams. I’ve clocked the distance that they illuminate signs on a straight stretch of road, and they are good for well over 3/10th of a mile – at least a tenth of a mile further than my high beams.

Relatively easy to install, they are a bit time consuming but mentally it’s very easy work to do. I’m not great with electrical work and was able to figure it out and install mistake-free the first time.

My only complaint is that you cannot take the rock guard off, but it doesn’t interfere with the actual output of lights – it’s mainly that I don’t like looking like a rolling billboard for KC – and the grids mean you can’t use the brush at the gas station to wash road salt or dirt off the lens.

You have to spray them with a spray bottle or hose.

WE JUST RETURNED FROM THE OREGON DUNES WHERE WE DID SIX NIGHT RIDES. WHAT A DIFFERENCE THE LIGHTS MADE! I NEVER OVER DROVE MY LIGHTS AND MY CONFIDENCE LEVEL WAS AWESOME. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LIGHT FOR RECREATIONAL RIDING.

I bought this a while back, and could not mount it directly without additional hardware. Wiring was super easy, and the product is very bright. This is a flood light more than a spot light, and you will not be able to drive with it on with oncoming traffic.

It makes a huge difference, and is super bright! I purchased a set of KC mounts which allow it to hang from the top bar, the mounts it comes with are meant to be mounted directly, however the KC mounting clamps allowed me to mount directly (after drilling out the holes a little larger) directly to the clamps.

the wiring is simple, and the rocker switch mounts nicely under the light knob. Plenty of extra wire, unlike other ones which I purchased. I am overall pleased with the overall end product. I gave it a afternoon install, because this was my first time installing it on this truck, and I took my time and routed the wires nicely.

Just remember to get the mounting clamps or you wont be able to mount them to a bull bar. Gave it 4 stars, because it didn’t have the clamps, but it is so bright that it really deserves 5.

Installed on my JL. It did not lone up with existing bolt holes on my OE steel bumper, so bought a bullbar and X clamps. Even then, had t fashion a mount as the x clamps were short of the mount length of the light.

That said. Installed using the Aux switches. Had to research how to wire to Aux. found the answer on a jeep blog. Just cut off all the relay and switch wiring an just use red and black from the light to ground and Aux 3 red wire.

So not that straight forward for me.

A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Very well designed wiring harness. Note on the Website it supports 2006-2008 It can be done on the 2005 if you have this mount available on the American trucks web site.
