10 Best Utv Rock Lights (2022 Updated)

Lights look good but the app isnt available for iPhones if you scan it it says that it is not available in this country or region. Found somewhere to use an off brand app called bledim. That did not work either.

Ended up downloading a bunch of generic led controller apps and seeing which one worked. The app Im currently using is RGB remote. Seems to work fine and the lights look good. There are a few hints of different colors in the pods but not too noticeable.

Only thing that would be nice is if the app made for these lights actually worked.

These light pods are top quality! The LEDS are bright!!!! The app is a little tricky but make sure you connect it controller in the app settings before trying to switch colors! That is the key. Once I connected it via Bluetooth I was good to go.

There is enough wiring for the pods to run a full-size Silverado crew Cab short bed and not run out of room. Because not to run your cables near heat or spinning objects. I placed my lines in split loom near heat, but my split loom is rated for high temps! Im glad I did not get the 8 pods as my truck would have looked like a space ship! If you doubt buying these dont!!!!.

These lights are really well made and the kit comes with all you need to mount. I have fitted them to my Defender 90 and the brightness is impressive. You can change the colours all of an app and customise and save your own sequences and colours also.

These rock lights are pretty good for 80$ especially when considering there are others that are selling for 200$ plus. These drew me in because of the rgbw feature where there is four led chips red, blue, green, and also white unlike other rock lights on amazon.

This extra white chip is the true white and not creating the rainbow effect on rgb only lights. Other feature that sold me was the fact that there was two leds on each pod which is essentially a two pod per wheel set up and provides a much brighter light.

Although these don’t come with Bluetooth features the design alone is superior to their cheaper Bluetooth version. Cons- All the cables didn’t have to be like 10 feet long since I mount my control box in the engine bay next to the battery, the pods in the front especially the one closest to the battery, had a ton of extra wiring that makes it unnecessary messy during installation and you can’t just cut it and crimp it to a shorter length since it is rgb lights.

Although I had no problem hooking this up since I work on engines regularly, there seems to be some confusion on the constant 12v wire and the accessory 12v wire. The wiring that comes directly out of the box is an accessory wiring and should be connected to a ignition source meaning that the lights will only work when the key is in the ignition.

I just hooked both of my 12v wires straight to the battery with an in-line fuse, this allows me to turn on the lights even if my truck isn’t running/key in ignition. Overall I am impressed with the quality of the pods and the ease of installation and the fact that everything that is needed for a proper installation is included in the box.

Although the lights seem of good quality and are very bright only time will tell if they last or not.

My biggest complaint is the connectors that connect each component together. They are not round, most look as if they were stepped on and even if your extremely careful screwing everything together-it is very hard not to cross-thread the plastic threads.

Otherwise appears to be a decent product. I have two family members with the exact same rock lights, which have been installed for one year. They had an issue or two which the company quickly rectified under warranty.

Start with positives: Bright lighting, easy install(kind of), came with almost everything you need in the box. Plenty of cord length for a regular cab 16 sierra. I am happy of the most part. Negatives: My biggest complaint is the install actually.

It is easy. but. it comes with these fuse adapters that are supposed to be plug and play for your vehicle but the ones that come in the box arent able to be used on mine. The fuses arent the same. So I just removed their supplied fuses and went straight to the battery.

Well the box that needs power for the lights, I figured is the on/off for the remote, doesnt stop all the electricity pull so its taking a toll on my battery. Im not very good at wire stuff if some of yall are shaking your head at me lol.

But ive had a rock light set before and it went straight to my battery not drawing off my battery while off. They way it seems in the instruction is they new it would draw on the battery even while off, so they want you to use a fuse that only gets power with the key on.

I want to use my rock lights without the key turned on, but it doesnt seem like thats what they want. So, other than that. Remote doesnt work very well, kind of finicky. The key fob is pretty much useless.

It says A,B,C,D but you cant program it. They just do random color changes and A is on and off. A better hook up method would have made this a 5 star product but the install parts didnt work for my year and model truck.

Again, coming from someone thats not electrical savvy although I did have a buddy helping me who knew more than I did to.

Put these on my ’96 Cherokee – as far as the lights themselves go, they look great – nice and bright. However, when I plugged all 4 lights in I had major voltage drop since the included wiring harness has one relay and one fuse.

This caused the front two lights to be very dim and flicker. I contacted RC support and they informed me that this was a KNOWN issue with these and the only solution was to add a second fuse, relay, and switch and have the front and rear lights on separate switches.

This added a ton of extra work getting everything spliced back together and taking my dash apart again to cut in a second switch. If they know this is an issue why dont they just include two wiring harnesses?! Disappointed in RC this time.

Of all the lights i’ve purchased, Rough Country wiring harness is my favorite. These lights took 3-4 hours to install by myself and needed minimal tools. Alot brighter than i thought they would be and the rubber base plate with 3 options to trail the wire was super convenient.

For the price compared to some other popular company these lights fit the bill! Overall, these lights are a go-to if the price is what you like with the brightness you need.

Comes with everything you need to install easily. I like the weather sealed connectors at the lights. Works very well as work lights on my 6200 kubota tractor

I purchased these to provide undercarriage lighting on my travel trailer. I had to cut and splice the wire to put more space in between the individual light pods but used heat shrink waterproof butt connectors and split loom with 16 guage wire for the extensions.

I had to use 5 light pods per side but it turned out great. I’m running them off a wireless remote relay with manual override bypass toggle switch. They really light up the trailer at night, making it easy to find and easy to set the stabilizer jacks and unhook the trailer.

Power draw is super low, like 3 amps total.

Great product for the money. 3m tape didn’t stick very well at all, so needed to secure using screws. Wish they had two screw holes instead of just one. Used them as rock lights on my Jeep, and they are super bright.

Liked the idea of the connectors between them, just wish they were more of common used connector. But for 13 dollars and some change can’t beat the price for what you get.

Purchased these in white to use for the inside of the pick-up bed to light things up since I have a cover on it. Not sure if they would stick to the bedliner material, so used magnets, and stuck them to the them, Magnets are strong enough, and this project worked out well.

Fro the price of these lights, you sure can’t beat the value, and I see many uses for them in other colors as well.

Make sure you glue the top pieces on to your whips as they pop out very easily and get lost. The lights are super bright and this is a great value for quality. We purchased a set for our son and loved the way the looked so we bought another set for ourselves.

The set we received appeared to be used and was missing the remote and the lights had a dead spot in them. The replacements that were sent, work perfectly and everything was included that should have been.

Would highly recommend these lights!.

Amazing quality. So many different color combinations. We get so many compliments on ours. Easy to install and they take a lot of beating and still hold up amazing. Haven’t had any issues what’s so ever.

1 on the leds we’re not working after the install. Not sure if it’s the harness or the led. I haven’t had the chance yet to find out the root cause but it’s going to be really annoying to take everything back apart to send back in for warranty.

Overall the colors are cool but it’s actually not that bright. Perhaps I should have picked up the cyclones instead?.

Just installed these and I’m pretty happy with them. Do everything I expected. I only have four of them installed. They aren’t super bright but it’s what I expected they would be. Will be adding the other two soon.

The color options are great and all around super fun for night time wheeling.

Very satisfied with the lights and the ease of installation. Not so impressed with the app to control them. I really wanted just as rock lights and not as interested in all the RGB and strobe functions but, playing around with the app it is clear it is a little glitchy.

Overall very satisfied for what I wanted them for.

They’re cheap. that’s it. Even professionally installed the app decides when it wants to work and the color choices aren’t what you’re expecting. I would advise getting the more expensive sets out there just because of the quality of the apps and the fact they’re built better and work when you need them too.

Mine wouldn’t connect for hours the other day just because the main box was hot or something, and it’s hidden in the passenger kick panel. Taking this kit off and getting a better quality 8 pod kit instead.

Seems to be a good system. Not all colors are pure on it. Traces of other colors come thepugh as it uses 3 LEDs to make color combinations of colors other than primary or shades of. The music feature has to be loaded into app on android.

Works better with iPhone for that feature. Had one of the connector caps on backwards from factory. Overall I like it. Be sure to wire it to a switch. It’s a battery draining machine !.

Amazing lights! Very bright. If you have a 4 door you do need to buy the 6’ extension cables with this or it won’t fit (it’s not even close). I would also recommend buying some type of switch or controller for it.

This makes it so it won’t turn on randomly by itself. I bought the Rough Country MLC-6 Multiple Light Controller Lower Dash Mount Kit. It looks like it is factory and you have 5 more switches for additional installs.

I will say the apps that you use to control these lights are absolutely horrendous. Luckily there are a bunch of different apps that work. I actually use 3 different apps for different functions. A little bit of a pain but it is worth it.

8/10 would recommend.

Love the oracle rock lights. I decided not to mount them in the inner fender because I knew my tires would block most of the light. I decided to mount them on the frame underneath. Greatest decision.

Wiring was a little challenging, but it was my first time and I was a little unprepared. Overall I love the product and I would definitely recommend.

Basic install that didn’t take long. Wires could be a little longer but reached on my 2 door JL. Colors are bright and look great. What isn’t great is the app or the receiver. App will only connect to the receiver when my phone is right next to it.

I basically have to stand next to the passenger side fender to turn them on and off. Unfortunately though, they turn on by themselves most of the time. I will drive a few miles and notice they’ve turned themselves on.

I get out of the Jeep and walk away only to have to walk back because I didn’t realize the lights had turned themselves on. Ended up just unplugging the receiver. Great idea, horrible execution.

Installation was pretty easy. I did have to buy an extension wire for my 4 door jeep. I got frustrated with the ColorSHIFT app because it wouldn’t connect to my phone but someone told me to use the Happy Lighting app and it worked like a charm.

The lights look great!.

My wife wanted these for her 08 2 door. We bought them and installed them, they looked good, but the wiring was shorter than it needed to be. After a couple of months, she went on break at work and called n said her lights were on all by themselves.

She finally got her phone to connect to them n turned them off. On her next break, they were back on again. When she came home that night, I cut the power wire to the battery. I may install a shut off switch at the battery if she decides not to remove them from her jeep.

These are very bright. Best part is they have a separate white bulb RGBW and is bright. Doesnt try to combine the 3 colors to make the purple white. Cables are long and very easy to install. Id highly recommend if your shopping for rock lights.

Spend a little more and get your moneys worth!!.

Easy to install and work with !!! They look pretty cool on my frontier, in have 2 in the grill , all four wheelwell and 2 under the body . Love the phone app no need for switches
