15 Best Uv Protectant Spray (2022 Updated)

I’ve used this color protector for years-ever since I started coloring my hair. It’s easy-just spray! And a bottle lasts a long time. I tried other color protectors but none do the job like Paul Mitchell does-truly locks it in!.

I have used Paul Mitchell color protect locking spray for years. It helps lock in color and protects against sun damage to my hair. I spend A lot of time around the pool in the summer. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on here tho.

Beware of imitations. Its best to order from the Paul Mitchell Store.

Great to have for permanent color hair or semi. So not use for temporary vegi die( like wash out fun color). This is great take home product after a color service. It helps to have the color last longer without fading.

It’s a good product. This has to be used after every time your done washing your hair. Please also make sure if your hair is colored. that you also purchase a sulfate free shampoo conditioner made for color treated hair.

I bought this product based on an advertisement in a local Great Lakes boating magazine. Read and re-read the instructions, washed the boat deck and applied the product as directed. I rinsed and dried the deck per instructions and could tell no difference.

I may try again once the boat is in the water for the season, just because it’s a big bottle, it wasn’t cheap and I don’t know what else to do with it. I would not buy this product again.

Works great but only lasts a few weeks and needs to be reapplied. In fairness, don’t know of anything that lasts long outside. A little pricey but it also depends on where you buy it from. Does work good though for anything vinyl or plastic that you don’t want to use an Armor All type product.

Doesn’t leave a slick glossy shine.

It doesn’t work. It did a very poor job of bringing back the shine on the plastic on my quad. I tried another protectant that my son suggested called “SC!” by Maxima Racing Oils. It was $10 cheaper and 100% better than 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I ordered (3) cans to apply multiple coats to the recycled frog statue that holds a pair of binoculars that I previously bought AND the metal eagle image I just received. Unfortunately while spraying, the contents leaked down the side of the can.

I scrubbed my fingers clean & wore a latex glove for all additional spraying. The second time I went to reapply a coat to protect the same objects, the same thing happened AND build up of the spray was noticeable on the can’s spray nozzle.

By the time I had applied the 3rd & 4th coats the build up had increased AND continued to leak down the cans sides. Not happy with the spray mechanism on the can. Have not used the 2nd or 3rd cans yet.

I purchased a beautiful brightly colored wind spinner from Wind & Weather. I purchased this spray to protect the color from fading from UV rays. I applied it exactly as directed. It stated that the spray would leave a white film which would disappear within 24 hours.

Not true. Three days later and the film is still there. Now my wind spinner is not shiny at all. Dull film. I have no idea if it will keep the color from fading as I only applied it this week. So far, disappointed.

We like the “Tree of Life” Design. It has been in use for a week or so, around our house to date. This is our 2nd spinner from Plow & Hearth catalog, in about 2 years time. Our 1st one broke & lost color in multiple ways and therefore, didn’t last at all.

Our first, one might have been more delicate then expected. May not be worth the cost for the spinner? That is always the customers choice. We like the “Tree of Life” design very much! Since we purchased the “Tree of Life” we hope the color & manufacturing of the metal black hardware holds up this time for years to come, in the sunlight & weather.

We also purchased the SUNGUARD Outdoor Decor Spray to help this process & we have used it before the spinner was displayed. We hope this product does work on all surfaces as it’s described. We hope the spray helps the spinner last longer, as it sounds like it does that job.

The Plow & Hearth Spinners as a whole product don’t come with a warranty from the company or the merchandiser. WHY Not?.

Best UV spray for delicate work and works great on watercolors. The spray is fine enough that it leaves an even surface and doesn’t splatter and ruin your work like other sprays. The satin has a beautiful finish right between matte and glossy.

Matte and glossy also professional quality of course and also create beautiful even finish. Does not harm watercolor, ink, gouache or other water-soluble medias. Appears to work on a great variety of surfaces from paper to canvas, metal, wood, stretched fabric, ceramics (not potable or cooking dishes, just decorative ceramics).

It is expensive but there is no other UV protectant spray varnish product I know of that does a consistent professional job with top archival quality. One can goes a long way, also. And Dick Blick ships fast and safe.

Recently I began spraying my watercolors with a UV protection. I begin with several coats of gloss and overlay that with some semi-matt. With the semi-matt especially, you MUST keep the can at least 12″-24″ away from your painting.

If you spray too close you will get a cloudy mess.

The Lascaux fixative works perfectly for soft pastels and I couldn’t detect any change in the colors. I’ve tried other fixatives but the pastel colors were changed. I still have to be somewhat careful when handling the painting, though, since some of the pastel can still come out when touched, what I feel is normal.

The price is a little steep for me but it’s worth.

Bought into the hype and tried this out. Followed directions step by step and this stuff left streaks all over the boat. Spent the next 2 hours going over it with bass boat saver to get all the streaks out which took ALOT of rubbing and buffing.

We recommend this product over all the others because it has to be effective to protect aircraft at altitude where the UV is extensively damaging. This 303 Protectant is the product you want to protect your valuable items from UV damage.

This is not a cheap make believe knock off product so the price reflects the quality.

I settled on Starbrite waterproofing after researching various products to re-treat my aging boat cover which was leaking like a sieve–13 gallons of water collected in the bilge after a very heavy rain (17′ aluminum boat).

I used a small one-gallon garden sprayer to apply a moderate spray over the surface which I estimated to be about 160 sq. feet. I used a little over half a gallon for one coat. The solution was easy to work with and was not nearly as pungent as some youtube videos claimed.

Nonetheless I covered up with skin and eye protection. I sprayed with the cover on the boat and masked tarp edges so the product get on the boat paint. Sunny day, low wind. The spraying was done in less than 1/2 hour, let dry for balance of the day.

Overnight rain beaded up and rolled right off. I missed a couple small areas that now need a second application. Otherwise I’m very pleased with the results. I may use up the balance of the gallon on a second coat but only because this old tarp may need the extra protection.

Reasonable price, fabric breathability maintained.

This stuff is my go to for waterproofing all outdoor fabric items, I have used it on outdoor patio cushions, pillows, shade sails(only 85% effectiveness due to them being extremely porous), garden shoes, tarps, umbrellas, outdoor furniture and grill covers, my husband’s golf bag, nylon coolers, snowboard bags, ski wear, beach chairs, etc- a lot of items and it’s worked.

To get optimum results mix equal parts denatured alcohol with the waterproofing and saturate thoroughly on both sides of item you are applying to. Let dry completely or over night. I use a 2 gallon handheld garden sprayer.

Use gloves, protective mask and eyewear and make sure to spray downwind. Takes time and patience but worth it. We have had no fading or need to replace outdoor cushions for 3 years. I apply one annually at beginning of spring.

Easy to use on fabric or concrete and prevents mildew and rain penetration. I used it on my Cabana fabric roof and on my concrete caps to prevent mildew. To clean the concrete use vinegar (dilute with max 50% water if you want to cut the smell).

My wife had some old apple cider vinegar that worked just fine. Oh, I also sealed my vinyl top for my spa with this. Next I plan to use this on my pebble shower floor to prevent mildew buildup in the grout.

Underneath it all, this is the same renowned 303 Aerospace Protectant that I’ve been using for years – just in a handy, wipe-based applicator! I’ve always used 303 on my sit-on-top kayak, as that’s a big, expensive hunk of plastic that I definitely want to protect from ultraviolet degradation.

For that, I use the conventional spray bottle, as I’m applying it to a large surface. However, for more precise applications, like the interior of my truck or the plastic fender flares on my Jeep, this product offers a lot more control.

You can wipe this onto surfaces where you don’t want any overspray and use only as much as you need. Remember – 303 Aerospace Protectant works best when you wipe it completely dry after application, and buffing with a clean, soft cloth increases bonding, repellency, and longevity.

You don’t want to apply a wet spray and let it sit. I am definitely adding this product to my “arsenal” of 303 protectants and cleaners.

I received these wipes in a giveaway and was skeptical. I have used the 303 protectant for a few years now, and have been happy with how well it works. The wipes exceeded my expectations and I am just as happy with them as I am the spray! I have used them on my car interiors and love how easy the wipes are to use.

I have a ’77 Pontiac, and as with all 70’s F-body cars they are prone to serious dash-cracking issues right down the center. Once it happens, its a nightmare to fix. I have tried a dozen different protectants but after 303 Aerospace, I will never use anything else.

Other protectants feel greasy and require constant application. With 303, I wipe the entire dash down once a month, seats, weather stripping, console too. Everything has a nice matte finish and I know it’s protected.

I have given bottles of this to friends for this reason. It works great to protect the big trans-am hood bird decal from sun damage and fading too! Its more expensive than the others, but remember- you get what you pay for.

Choosing between $20 for a bottle of 303 or replacing a dashboard- easy choice.

Living in south west Florida products that protect the plastics and rubber on our cars are very important. Upon opening this product I immediately had problems getting the moist towelettes to come up out of the cylinder the way they should.

I wasted several initially and again during further usage. There are no directions on the label showing the preferred way to start the roll coming up. The product itself applied smoothly with little difficulty.

I did not wear gloves as suggested but washed my hands after finishing to clean the slick material off my skin. There was a nice thin coating of protectant on all the surfaces I covered and after two weeks I think the surfaces seem cleaner and still retain the original sheen.

Not that this product needs another positive review, but I rely heavily on reviews when I am deciding on a product and I like to share my findings for others. I am rather fussy about product performance and when I do find a product that meets my high standards I take the time to share my thoughts.

My mother used to use Guardsman furniture polish when I was a child (I am now 62). I actually forgot about it and in the past since I have been a homemaker I always just used “whatever” was in the grocery store.

This Guardsman cleaner and polish made them look new again! I will never use anything else ever! Now my fear is they will stop making it! I will now incorporate using this product into my routine cleaning.

I purchased, “Gaurdsman Clean and Polish Spray” because I wasn’t able to find the “method” wood cleaner I like. I wasn’t looking for a polish. I just wanted something to clean and remove dust. After receiving this in the mail it’s contents looked different as it was milky in color and had a creamy feel to it.

I decided to try it on a maple chair I had recently purchased. This chair had years of polished on dirt! I didn’t test it out on a small area as suggested on the bottle; I liberally sprayed it all over the seat of the chair and let it set for a few minutes.

To my horror, upon wiping the cleaner away, it left terrible water-like marks on the chair! I would STRONGLY suggest testing it out on a small area of whatever wood surface you will be using it on. BUT WAIT.

After completely wiping off the entire seat I could still feel a little residue on it. So, I kept rubbing all over the seat, concentrating on the “water marks” that were there. As I sat watching a TV show I kept rubbing and rubbing.

I could see a shine coming through and the water marks were starting to disappear! I continued rubbing intently with a soft cloth. The result was amazing! I’m so glad I happened upon “Guardsmen Clean and Polish Spray”!.

I typically use my wood cleaner for both my wood furniture and items as well as my stainless steel appliances because wood polish seems to work the best on them without scratching or streaking. This brand did not work well on everything I needed it too.

It left streaks on many of my items and I was not a huge fan of the smell it left. Would not buy again.

I absolutely love Garnier fruit color shine. I like how it makes my dark hair shine with a flat iron or blow dryer I recommend it if you use a flat iron it’s good in between washes gives your hair a little bit of more of a bounce like a dry shampoo type of Phil makes it soft and shiny with no after greasy feel I can use it right out of the shower as well and it’s so nice silky smooth the price is good product is good.

bought this at a CVS while visiting on the east coast with my job and loved the way it made my hair look and feel! When I returned home, I couldn’t find it anywhere!!! (not even in my local Wal-Mart, CVs, Walgreens, Sally’s, or any other hair care store) I have been ordering it on eBay from various sellers for nearly four times the current price here ($2.

96). Regardless of the price though this product is worth it! FYI: I have very coarse hair and it made my hair look so healthy and shiny. The bottle says strong on it, but I didn’t even see that the first time I bought it, but it never makes my hair feel hard or dry after using it, so i don’t know what’s suppose to be strong about it.

Also I let my mom and my cousin use it and they both LOVE it and had started ordering it online as well. My mom has very thick and naturally curly hair and my cousin has very straight and fine hair, so apparently this stuff works on all hair types!!! I’ve never tried any of their other products , but this one I definitely recommend!!!.

Honestly this product just made my hair (which is waist length and pin strait naturally) just look really greasy. I tried spraying dried pry on, spraying on a brush and brushing it in and spraying on my hands and working it in and no matter what it just made my hair look like a greasy dirty mess.

There are way better products out there than this one. Even drugstore products that do a much better job. or have both been fantastic. Gave it two stars because it does smell nice and I like that it has the UV filters so I sometimes will add it to my beach or pool bag and spray it on while sitting in the sun for hair protection.

In the starting , I was not sure about this product. bcoz I used so many sunscreen and that not suits on me and don’t gave that effect. But using wow sunscreen,my skin is become so shinny and looks fresh and this protects from tanning very well.

And my skin is too much lighter than before. I love this product. My frnds also asked for my brighter skin then I also suggest them to use wow sunscreen.

Absolutely marvellous. Not sticky while applying soothing fragrance and effectively block scorching sun rays.

It’s a really really nice sunscreen compared to any other I’ve used so far. This one doesn’t make your skin feel itchy and oily it absorbs in skin so fast plus like other sunscreens that makes you face look white white after applying it’s just perfect in that as well it’s SOOOOOOO nice.

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely abhor thick greasy sunscreen. Even though every skincare article rants about having sun protection on, I would rather go out with no sun protection (or avoid going out all together) than put on greasy sunscreen.

My friend recommended Shiseido’s line of sunscreens and I usually don’t like spray-on stuff but this was the only one I found in my local Shoppers Drug Mart so I got it. The price tag is pretty hefty for sunscreen as this is like 2x the price of drugstore sunscreens.

However, as promised, this sunscreen is not oily at all, doesn’t feel like I have anything on. It came out very liquid and I was surprised at first. I wasn’t sure how much to apply onto my face because it’s so liquid, I didn’t know if it had enough coverage.

I wiped two layers on and it was fine. It actually gives my skin a glowy sheen but not oily feeling. It dries very quickly due to the alcohol (which can be very strong, I hold my breath when I apply this on my face).

That is the only con I found for this sunscreen. If your skin is sensitive to alcohol I don’t recommend using this sunscreen because it does have a strong alcohol scent. Otherwise, I like this sunscreen.

Would repurchase or try more sunscreens in the Shiseido line.

I was looking for a sunscreen mist that is light, non-greasy, translucent. This is it. I can apply sunscreen fast, easy and not worry about blending the white caste or staining clothing. The fragrance is really strong but I actually like the smell, so if you are sensitive to smell, I’d avoid this one.

I hope it can be sprayed on top of makeup but the product description says that it should not be sprayed directly onto face. I think if I cover my eyes with cotton pads and spray it onto my face directly, it should be fine.

I can imagine that it corporates with makeup really well.

I’ve used Shiseido sunscreen products for over 20 years and have always had excellent experience. When this spray version appeared, I thought it might be great for on-the-go use when out and about, especially in the summer.

I keep it in my bag when walking around town–even my husband uses it in a pinch. I am a fair red-head, so have always used sunscreen. I’ve never burned whenever using Shiseido products. Some can leave a slight white-cast that diminishes after application, but this spray does not have the white cast issue.

Directions expressly say “do not spray directly into face. Spray on hands then apply to face. ” Of course, we all know that the convenience of spraying onto the face so as not to disturb makeup is proabably why one might want to purchase this.

so in order to minimize issues, HOLD YOUR BREATH (it states that you must avoid breathing it in and use in a well-ventilated area, out of the wind) CLOSE EYES TIGHTLY AND KEEP THEM CLOSED UNTIL PRODUCT DRIES.

Keep holding your breath until the spray dissipates from the air. Seriously. You do not want stuff getting into your lungs or your eyes. It is great for your scalp due to easy application. I can’t say enough good things about this product both in it’s efficacy and convenience.

As an amateur hobby artist, I’m still proud of my work. I didn’t know how to preserve a watercolor that I thought was nice. After checking online I though there had to be an easier way. Jerry’s search provided this product and it was easy and did the trick.

I now have a piece with colors that are fixed regardless of environment, Nice.

I am very disappointed in this product. I purchased it to spray a vintage poster that would be hanging (in a frame)in a room with a large picture window. Luckily, I tested it first on some black foam core.

Like another reviewer, the first spray left an opaque white residue. After that, it left a *very* visible, dusty film. When touched, I made dark finger prints and could feel the residue on my fingers.

Definitely not usable on dark, or solid colours. Perhaps it could be used on white, or multi coloured projects, but I don’t know if it’s worth the risk. I purchased Lascaux after reading reviews on the superior quality of this particular product.

A waste of money. I do not recommend.

Love this sun protection it is not greasy on the skin sinks right in and has a lovely perfume. I just spray it into my cupped hand and then apply after a few seconds after the alcohol has dispersed a little.

Actually, my morning routine now consists of simply mixing it with my moisturizer in my hands then applying, I find this works very well, makes application a lot easier and gives a nice matte finish.

My husband was scepticle ordering this on ebay as he was worried it ciuld have had anything in the bottle. However, just used it on holiday and never burnt skin. As a psoriasis sufferer it was nice and comfortable on my skin.

No hours of scrubbing to remove and no drying of skin. Would use again.

I wanted to try this but was not available where I live. I ordered thru look fantastic and I love it. Is not greasy and gives me a healthy glow. Smells lovely!
