20 Best Uv Shoe Sanitizer (2022 Updated)

Installation was easy above the evaporator coil and the UV light illuminates when energized. Based on the cleanliness of my evaporator coil (located above the furnace). I doubt UV light is necessary to keep it clean.

After further research, I realized UV light will deteriorate the plastic drain pan below the evaporator coil and the flexible duct expansion joint above the coil. Therefore, I’ve decided to leave the UV light off.

Light was very easy to install with clear instructions. Everything needed for installation other than a philips head screwdriver was in the box. Too early to say how effective it will be but it is doing a great job lighting up the main chamber.

Light is made by Philips Corporation so I am confident it will perform well.

This was a used item or returned. The package seal was broken and the metal plate had nail point dents in it looking like an attempt was made to install it. Some of the parts had dust on them. I tested the unit and since it worked and I didn’t need the metal plate, I went ahead and installed it.

Installation was easy and only took about 10 minutes. The device is working fine.

Very nice toothbrush sanitizer. I like how the lights let you know that the sanitizer is working. As a bonus if you have a Sonicare toothbrush with the peg type charging system this will also work as a charger.

OMG Munchkin has done it again. This is SOOOO much better than their smaller sterilizer. Cool things: – It comes with a testing strip to ensure that your lights are running perfectly – It can fold down to be pretty flat – It’s pretty portable, but don’t expect it to be as portable as their mini sterilizer – The flexibility on how big an item it can sterilize is its greatest strength.

I’m sterilizing all kinds of things (and even things that aren’t baby related like my phone!) – The battery pack is small, and I get a ton of uses without having to re-charge. It’s been a few weeks since my last charge and it’s still going strong.

Things to be careful of: – The front lid has a magnet where you press the button. When you first start using this sterilizer, it’s not used to being “folded” and so the magnet may detach. When it separates, then the unit turns off (probably for safety concerns, you don’t want to nuke your eyeballs out with that super powerful UV) – It may explicitly state that it’s NOT been tested against the virus that causes COVID-19.

However, common sense tells us that this coronavirus should be killed by UV-C just like their other coronavirus strains (I’m not a scientist researching this so do your own research!).

Was nice while it worked. Broke after six months of infrequent use. The light won’t turn on even though the power pack is fully charged. Target won’t replace this even with a receipt; will attempt to get help from the manufacturer.

With little kids, whose got the time to be on the phone for stuff like this. Disappointed.

I was very optimistic that this would work and it would be helpful to use on various items when I got home. Unfortunately that was not the case. This is a very expensive thermal lunchbox. I charged it for hours and when fully charged, I placed my items inside.

The light indicator on the charger stayed on for about 3 minutes. It didn’t seem like it was doing anything though. The package material says the lights shut off when opened. So, to check if the lights actually turn on, I put my phone on record and placed it in there.

On the recording it showed that those lights did not turn on at all. It was literally doing nothing. Don’t waste your money on this!.

My son’s sneakers, despite CONSTANT washing, smelled terrible. I had tried several sneaker sprays that just didn’t work. The 10 Second spray was recommended by a friend – she swore by it. I bought two cans (my husband bought a can not realizing I was also buying it).

In one month’s time, I’ve sprayed my son’s sneakers twice. It truly works right away and lasts a long time. Come to think of it, I’m going to spray the inside of my husband’s very smelly gym bag!! Thanks for such a great product!.

This product is for your nasty, smelling shoes. The ones you neglect everyday or just the ones you only wear running or to the gym. This stuff is powerful and cannot be applied inside without a great deal of ventilation.

I do it on my back deck when needed. Great product and highly recommended.

This shoe disinfectant had good reviews so I bought it and it seems to work well. It does remove the foot odor from shoes, and to me, it’s better than what you would get in a drug or grocery store. I’ve used one can and bought three more before I finished the first can.

I use it in my shoes almost daily when I remove them. It doesn’t inhibit odor from penetrating the shoes as I believe some reviewers indicated, but it does eliminate the odors.

I have a “test card” that allows me to verify that an item is actually transmitting the optimal intensity of UV-C light to actually sanitize. I have tested this unit several times and it consistently passes.

Finally a manufacturer that is actually selling what they claim to be selling! There are two different cycle lengths depending on what you need to sanitize. You can sanitize two masks at once using a 1 minute cycle.

Even better, this is large enough to sanitize a variety of items and/or several items at once (unlike those that will only hold a single cell phone) using a 10 minute cycle. Now when we come home at the end of the day, our cell phones and keys can immediately go into this sanitizer and will be nice and safe for us to handle for the rest of the evening and to start tomorrow with.

You can fit an standard iPad (by itself). You can even sanitize your eyeglasses (the UV-C light will not damage Transition lenses, or so I have read)! I am very pleased with this purchase.

Item stopped working after just a month use. Before it stopped working, you had to plug and unplug a few times before it would light up. Unfortunate. Otherwise the design and the size is good.

This item is great! I come in after work and throw my mask, phone, wallet, debit cards, etc in it. It’s great to be able to put multiple things in there all at once. It’s also portable and I can take it with us on the go.

I had tried everything from tea bags to putting my shoes in the freezer and also sprays. They were just masking the smell. So then I finally bought the Stink Boss. I was really skeptical, but hey if it didn’t work I could just return the thing.

To my surprise it Worked on every pair I have put in it. It does emit a faint o-zone smell and also I cannot put in my boot in this thing.

This was a Christmas gift for my son and his four children. They say it is magical and takes care of all their smelly shoes. In the reviews, they recommended that you keep it in garage because the ionizing has a smell.

UV light disenfecting on the go or at home. This light is lightweight and gives you approximately 6 uses before needing to be recharged. We use it on our phones and keys mostly. My teenage son was previously using an insane number of wipes cleaning his phone.

I bought the CleanPod UVC Sterilizer last year (got two in fact) and have been using it for all my travel and around the house. I originally thought it was going to be a big wand but it is actually small, light and compact.

It is so easy to use and easy to just throw into your bag or carryon. It has been great to use in hotels for the pillows and blankets, surfaces, TV remote, etc. At home, I like to use it on my computer keyboard and mouse, my smart phone, and any packages that get delivered.

I see from other reviews that the CleanPod is extremely effective at destroying the microbes and bacteria so I feel reassured that this product is useful. Most of the UVC wands you see on Amazon do not really have good reviews so I feel CleanPod is really the best solution out there.

I recommend this device. Also love that it has a long charge. I don’t even bring the charger with me on my trip if I travel with it fully charged up.

I purchased this as an addition for when I travel. I go back and forth to New York City and when I’m in tiny bathrooms I thought this would be handy to use on the go. It’s a tad bigger than I had planned and so this product “lives” in my larger work bag that houses my MacBook.

Not a problem for me but FYI to you. On the whole I have not gotten as much use out of it as I would like to before giving this full stars. It hasn’t broken and the included sleeve has helped muffle the sound of it as it moves about in my bag.

(Though it does make a sound. The product is not small enough to fit in the pockets within my bag because of its length). Overall happy with the purchase, it’s piece of mind.

My science-loving friend tested it for validity and I’m not too sure if the UVC is either fake or not that strong in wattage. Maybe it’s effective, but not very. He did the skin and banana test, and he said it seemed like the wattage was low or is completely useless in killing bacteria because truly effective UVC should pass the banana and skin test.

Not sure if I got a defective product, or if it’s really a scam. Unfortunately they don’t do refunds or returns due to the hygienic reasons (which I understand), but ideally, an exchange or store credit to buy something else would be nice.

I love that it’s portable so that I can easily take it to work. Two buttons on the sides must be squeezed at the same time within 10 seconds of pressing the power button. This is a safety measure and can be a pain to sustain.

If you let go then you have to start the cycle over again. I don’t necessarily know whether I can trust that they work or not- I like that this is a name that I recognize and I liked how it was shaped.

The shape makes it easy to hold and it’s easy to use in hard to reach places without having to look at the actual lights. How to know that it’s actually sterilizing?? I like that this one comes with a little card that allows you to test whether it’s sterilizing correctly or not.

I used this to figure out how long I had to hold it over each item I was sterilizing to be sure it was sterile.

I bought this to sanitize my phone, keys, pens, and anything else I use at work as a COVID nurse. I even sanitize my car with this wand. There’s limitless uses for this product it’s unreal. Some things you can’t put harsh cleaners on, so this is a great way to effectively sanitize those items.

It uses the same UV technology our hospital uses. I’ve already recommended this to my whole unit and they all have purchased their own. We all love this sanitizing wand. Very convenient, easy to use, and all in all great product! 10/10 stars!.

Right off the bat I will tell you this UvFreshr Mini Light is NOT intended to sanitize an entire room and because I don’t have access to a laboratory I can’t guarantee that it has actually killed all germs.

What I can tell you is I’m pretty impressed with it so far! Research has shown that UV light is effective in killing bacteria. During this pandemic I find myself going through a lot of disinfecting wipes every time I return from my apartment building’s laundry facilities and mail room or returning from a Walmart grocery pickup (which I highly recommend).

All of those discarded wipes cannot be good for the environment. I’ve used the HvFreshr four times so far, placing it in a cardboard shipping box for the quickest and most efficient use of the light.

So far I’ve “cleaned” my iPhone, remote controls, headphones, toothbrushes, tweezers and eyeglasses. Right now it is disinfecting my athletic shoes. When it arrived the instructions were simple and easy to understand.

It charged quickly and I like the idea that it can be programmed to repeat the 15 minute cycle every 12 or 24 hours. And it turns off when it detects my presence. I recommend this little sanitizing unit and am so pleased with it I think I’ll look into obtaining a more appropriate container to use it in rather than the plain cardboard box currently housing it.

I love, no I REALLY LOVE, this lamp. I love everything about it form the style, to the detachable remote control, to the different light intensity, variable color temperature and combination of overhead+reading light.

It looks like a designer piece. We live in a residence without overhead lighting and Taotronics has saved us from a life of darkness. and from having to spend thousands on lighting. This is the 4th lamp I’ve purchased from Taotronics (amongst other items) and each one serves a different purpose and has proven to be extremely reliable and attractive.

We needed 4 units for our home. We shopped for over a week to find one that was affordable yet had great reviews. We also searched overall price plus the after cost of replacement filters. Below is why we purchased 4 units and how I found a work-around for cheaper filter replacements.

#1: Kills Odors. We purchased this, because it was touted as being able to clean the air not only by the company but also by hundreds of reviewers. And. YES, it does! I have never been happier. We live in the county and have horrible neighbors that burn trash and trees nearly non stop.

I was having horrible headaches and my sinuses were on overdrive trying to fight the pollution. When we plugged in these units, within 1 hour we could tell a difference. The smell was really going away.

We usually keep the units on low, but when we start smelling them burning, we turn the units on high and they start working. As a secondary note, my husband cooks very healthy but stinky food. There is nothing worse than smelling someone elses food lingering throughout the house.

Here again, just crank the unit up on high and it kills the odors! #2 Dual Purpose Noise Levels. The unit was touted as being one of the most quiet units when running. And. YES, it is! When the unit is on low, we never know it’s running.

It really is that quiet. That is a great feature. But, what I love about it is when you turn it up to high, it makes a steady windy sound that drowns out unwanted noises. It almost sounds like those noise cancelling units you can buy.

It’s not that loud, but it does help to drown out a man’s snoring and the neighbor’s barking dog. So, this is another great purpose of the unit. #3 Filter Replacement Cost. Okay, so this is where they get you.

Replacement filters are not cheap and at the rate we use ours, we would have to buy 4 sets of filters per unit per year. Since we bought 4 units, that’s 16 replacement filters a year!!! That would cost much more than the units.

We simply cannot do that on our budget. So, here is my frugal cost effective work around. I went online and found a company that sells large sheet replacement carbon filters for another air purifier that was round in shape.

These filters were almost exactly the same height as our current unit, but much longer. They were also almost identical in thickness and I would be able to cut up to 8 prefilters from this one piece.

As the filter that came with our unit had a prefilter (not with carbon) velcroed to the front, I am easily able to remove it and add a cut piece from the other one. Before I do this, I remove the entire units filter, throw away the white prefilter, vaccum the rest of the filter, wipe the unit free of dust, then add on my newly cut piece.

And, because this new filter piece has carbon in it, I now have a double layer of smell reducing filters. With the way I am doing this, I will only need to buy 1 full replacement filter per year. And that is a BIG cost savings!!! #4 Unit has UV-C Lamp.

My office has a smaller space that needed to have a MERV13 compliant air purifier. We have ordered some larger ones for larger spaces but this size and the price point for the VAVA purifier seemed to meet our needs perfectly.

The shipment arrived on time, and other than unboxing and removing the plastic that was covering the filters, set up was about as easy as could be. I tested it for noise level (someone needs to work in that space after all) and while you can hear it, it isn’t distracting.

The timer function is really helpful – I can set it for a few hours and walk away – as is the fact that it’s light and easy to move. I have a few other items from VAVA and know that they are quality products so I feel very comfortable using this.

I also like the fact that the filters are easy enough to replace. We are living in a different world and this new world requires extra preclusions. This purifier is one of those “I didn’t know I needed it until I got it” purchases.

I bought the Phone Soap Pro as a gift for my wife, but after using it a couple dozen times, it quit working. Of course, the warranty had just expired. There was no indication of bad UV bulbs, the light would come on blue and turn red immediately and after reading the troubleshooting guide, we left it opened in bright light for awhile which did nothing.

I’m tired of getting ripped off by American companies that bring their products in from China. This turned out to be the worse POS I could have purchased. Just like opening up the garbage can and throwing a $100 bill in it to be brought to the land fill.

I gave it 1 star for the short time it did work, but how do I know it was doing any better than just wiping it with my Lysol wipes? Fooled me once, but not twice! Very dissatisfied with your product!.

Excellent product that appears to be built well, and the cleaning process takes much less time than my previous phone soap. Also, the larger opening allows you to clean larger phones that have beefier cases.

My biggest gripe is that it’s hard to open as there is no indentation or rough edge to grab onto to open up the top section. You have to stick a thumbnail into the side and try to pry it open. Not a great design is it is difficult to get open.

Also, the polished chrome-looking plastic on the inside looks a little cheap considering the cost of this product. I would still highly recommend it, though, as I believe that it is killing those germs.

First I would like to say the PhoneSoap Pro is beautifully made. Very nice on the inside and nice on the outside. It appears to be a quality product. I pre ordered my unit back in June 2020 and waited months and months to get it.

I was so happy when it arrived and it worked ok. Then after a short while the cycle would end with a red light. It continues to do that when I do use it. I emailed customer service and told the lady what the unit was doing.

She wanted me to return it for repair or replacement. Keep in mind this was right in the middle of Covid and I had already waited many months to get it. If it were to take months to get it back it really wasn’t doing me any good.

I asked if they could send another unit and I would send this one back. That did not appear to be an option. I just told them I would put it up and find a different manufacturer which I did. In my opinion since it took me so long to get it (which I understood) if the unit wasn’t working properly they should have attempted to expedite me another unit especially with the Covid and all.

For this reason I would not buy from them again. Again, I have no issues with a properly working unit, it is nicely crafted. I just wasn’t happy that they would not send me another unit. I would have been willing to pay for it and wait for a credit once they received the bad unit back but again, that option did not seem to be on the table.

Just take it out of the box and plug it in!! UV disinfection is definitely the way to go. I put 1 in each bedroom and 1 on each end of my large living room. After looking at every model, I chose these because they just plug into any standard electrical outlet, and you don’t even notice them.

I expected the larger, more expensive, corded models would make more noise, and I would have to find a place for them to sit. Something to think about before you choose a model. These plug-ins are quiet, but not totally noiseless.

They do make a little humming noise, because they have a small fan, but it’s only noticeable if the room is otherwise totally silent. If there is any kind of furniture between you and the purifier, they’re totally inaudible.

I would definitely buy these again.

While i was skepitcal on the Germ Guardian Pluggable Uv Air Sanitizer & Odour Reducer I was happily proven wrong. Initially, we plugged the unit into the living room to test with daily odours and clean the air where we spend the majority of our time, however it was a little loud.

The second location of the kitchen was the perfect place. No issue with noise intruding on life. This unit has been put to the test! From regular food odours to big challenges of someone burning food it has left us impressed each time.

We have seen a very noticeable difference in the lack of lingering smells and would highly recommend.

This UV Sanitizer is great! I wasn’t expecting much to be honest but it does help a lot with the cat litter odor. I plugged it right next to it and it works amazing. The sound is kinda like a white noise but I also have an air purifier that it’s louder so I can’t hear this one at all.

This is a must have item in your household if you have pets. I already ordered 2 more !! Thank you Guardian Technologies for giving me good air to breathe!.

I was taken aback by how small they really are initially. The size difference compared to the pictures is pretty drastic lol. They smell great but I’d say the max life of each pill after long-term use is about 2 months at best.

I just wish they were bigger and maybe the smell was even stronger than it is. The smell is very pleasant, resembling like a dryer sheet smell but not an irritant. When you first open them the smell is very strong but after a couple months, the smell becomes very weak.

Maybe in the future, Crep will make these bigger! Those were my only complaints, so I have to recommend. Plus, can’t beat free shipping can ya?.

This product is amazing! You twist to release the scent and how much you twist it changes how strong the smell released it. It makes your shoes smell like new and of bubblegum!

Did t think these would be any good. Have used crep protect alot over the years bit just didn’t think these would cut it. I was sooo wrong. Can unscrew, leave in your kicks and depending on the stank a couple of days later, fresh creps.

The PhoneSpa Phone & Accessory UV-C Sanitizer and Aroma Diffuser is easy to use and compact so that it doesn’t take up alot of space. It is easy to take anywhere and use. It is big enough to hold other items which I like so that I can sanitize my keys, small baby toys, pacifiers, etc.

Being able to sanitize my newborns pacifier, small bottles/bottle tops/nippers wherever I go is extremely convenient, especially when there isn’t access to water and microwave/stove to sterilize them.

The aroma diffuser is easy to use and a nice addition. I like that it turns off on its own so that I don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. It works nicely and effectively diffuses the essential oil I add.

The sanitizer let’s me know when it is finished so that I don’t have to time it. The only negative is that you have to turn your phone or other items over and repeat the process for complete sanitizing.

This device gives you an extra added measure of protection from unwanted germs. It only takes 10 short minutes to sanitize each side of your device. The bonus is that it’s not just for phones. It can be used on your children’s earbuds, your USB cables, your debit card, car keys and many other items that will easily fit into the Phonespa.

If you have a favorite scent you can even add essential oils to the Phonespa so all of your items spell delightful. I will definitely be purchasing multiple Phonespas to give as Christmas gifts. This device should be on a counter in every home especially with the current Pandemic in our world.

I love the idea of a sanitizer for small products from phones, cases, earbuds & etc. Upon unpacking the device does come with instructions and cable for power. I did not the overall function of the PhoneSpa Phone & Accessory uv-c sanitizer and aroma diffuser.

You cannot tell a difference after you have place you phone, that it was santized. You have to flip the objects to make sure you get both sides but it takes 10 mins each side, totaling 20 mins all together.

I feel as if uv lights are a cheap uv light, that is not strong enough to kill germs. I was not impressed with the aroma for that it does not give a very powerful smell that lingers in large places. You can smell the essential oils if you are close to the phonespa but not further away.

Both settings can be ran together or separate and both buttons runs for 10 mins each cycle. If you open during sanitizing it will shut off as it has a mechanism to turn the uv lights off. Love the idea and concept but not the performance.

Speaking only on what I can observe about the product, the features/functions of it behave as advertised. The buttons cause lights to come on, and those lights stay lit for the amount of time advertised.

Does anything actually happen inside (a UV light comes on)? Can’t say as the box is closed when that is happening. Does the UV light actually kill Covid? Absolutely impossible to know for sure. Lets assume that it does.

I can’t bring myself to rate anything higher than 3 stars because the materials on this product are so delicate I broke one of the plastic tabs just trying to open/close it. I would recommend it only for having the most basic level of protection, weekly and not daily use as a tool for santizing your devices.

Perhaps if the build quality,materials and workmanship were better, I might trust that it is effective in what it claims to do. So, overall, NOT recommended, but its not ugly to look at on the counter, so I still use it.

This little gadget came at just the right time. It’s so easy. Plug in, insert phone, close and go!! It cleans your phone in just minutes. My husband works at Casey’s as a kitchen manager. He of course takes his phone to work.

so of course, phone gets gross and gets germy!! All that is now not something to worry about. This cleaner gives us peace of mind during some untrusting and difficult times. It’s so nice to know he can come home from work and clean his phone.

The comfort Zone- UV Light sanitizer boxes a great product. This is a very product is convenient! I have an iPhone XS MAX and it fits inside. I put my phone inside and press the button on the front and it kills bacteria etc on the phone.

I’ve used a ShoeZap for years since discovering it in a foot care pharmacy. Initially the idea was to help with my recurring foot/toenail fungus which it did, but the secondary benefit was just amazing.

My shoes had an awful, strong odor to the point that I was encouraged to exile them to the garage. After using the ShoeZap for a very short while (one or two 15 minute cycles) the odor was gone. I mean really gone! A close up sniff test gave a completely neutral smell.

We have two houses and I like this product so much I got a second one for the vacation house. My brother was having the same shoe odor problem so I just recently got him one, too. I’ve had the original Shoemaker for 4 to 5 years now and it is still working as well as when I first got it— with the original bulbs.

If and when one of my units “dies” I will definitely get another one to replace it.

The ShoeZap works well and quickly. I’m using it to sanitize all my shoes as I have nail fungus on 1 toe nail. It was recommended that I Lysol spray all my shoes or throw them out, ugh! I truly hope this works; as otherwise I have to throw out many expensive pairs of Berks, Naots, Uggs, Merrills, Sorels, Tundras, ToeWarmers, Stegmans, Tevas, Danskos, and ASICS.

I’m very pleased with the Lumin cleaner and would recommend it. I did not purchase the bullet hose accessory because my heated hose is not compatible with it. I do put my hose in the cleaner which has plenty of room for it.

because the cleaning cycles are only 5 minutes, it is easy to run it through two or three times, repositioning between cycles to get as much light exposure to all areas of the hose. I was concerned when it arrived because the outer shipping box was saturated with water, and in poor shape.

Most likely it was placed in a puddle of water based on how wet a few sides were. This must have happened in transit (by FedEx) because the weather was dry the day it was dropped off at my doorstep. The inner product box was soaked through on one side, but the cleaner was wrapped in plastic and had remained dry.

It has operated fine.

This machine does not clean the CPAP hose which is the most difficult to clean while other do. This machine is merely a chamber with an ultraviolet light. It wasn’t until it arrived and I opened it that I discovered this limitation.

I requested a return and was curtly told Sleeplay has a No Return Policy. I could see how that would apply to a mask or anything else that could be contaminated, but this machine does not fit that category.

This makes my Sleeplay experience awful as I was charged $200+ for something that is merely a jewelry cleaner and no a complete CPAP cleaning system. Now I am out $200 for something that is of no use to me.

Don’t buy this overpriced partial cleaner.

Keeping mask, tubing and humidifier tank clean and safe, turned out to be a real hassle, not any fun by any stretch of the imagination. Seeking an alternative method to the soapy water, vinegar rinse method, I started researching what might be an easier, effective method.

Ozone generating devices appeared to be effective but the precaution notice worried me. Ultraviolet light systems seemed to simple to be effective. However, after discussing the already existing systems used in health care environments, particularly in hospitals, I decided to try this method.

The scenario of ozone causing deterioration of CPAP components was not considered, since I routinely replace mask, hoses and headgear out of an abundance of caution. These items over time show signs of wear and have been known to harbor viruses and bacteria.

The Lumina system is about as simple as it get. Drop your gear into the bin, push a button and retrieve your items prior to retiring for the evening. I’ve developed a routine to simplify what was a laborious hassle and I feel confident that I’m doing abetter job at keeping things healthy.
