The Ball Animal is our second Dyson. I would say 90% is better than our previous, which was only replaced because I needed to replace the power cord. I feel the Ball Animal is better than the DC07 (the classic old Dyson) on both carpet and hardwood flooring.
The B. A. has a lower profile head, making it better for getting under edge of couches and cabinets. The B. A. ‘s attachments fit more securely than on the DC07. The “Ball” helps to steer around things, however, my wife doesn’t like it.
I do. There are two things I dislike about the Ball Animal verses good-old DC07; how low the power cord comes out of the machine and the latch for keeping the machine upright. I hold the power cord in my other hand to prevent pulling the plug out of the wall or running over the power cord while vacuuming.
However, because the B. A. ‘s power cord comes out of the machine 6. 5″ (16. 5cm) lower than the DC07. If I let the cord slide through my hand as I push the vacuum out, I gain too much slack. As I pull the vacuum back, I can run over the power cord.
I have to constantly pull the power cord out of the way with my foot as I pull the vacuum back. The second thing is the latch to hold the machine upright. I don’t feel it works well because the latch will fail and the vacuum will fall back.
I have to push a little too firmly to engage the latch than I think I should. The latch fails frequently when the vacuum is on the rear wheels and I’m wheeling it to my start spot. The DC07’s latch held the head up over some pretty rough bumps (aka like that last minute vacuuming before the mother-in-law comes by).
All-in-all I like the Ball Animal and I do recommend Dysons over everything else. We are rough on vacuums (i. e. we use them a lot) and our DC07 held up for over 12 years! So, for me, it was a no-brainer when it came to get a new one.
This machine was a pleasant surprise and game changer in the way we clean our home. My wife and I take time to keep our home clean and allergy friendly for family and visitors. We have a built in system as well as a door to door water canister style vacuum – both do a good job.
We have never been inclined to purchase or use an upright but decided to give it a try in an effort to ease the maintenance process in our week to week in home cleaning tasks. The Dyson has cut vacuuming time by 35% for a full cleaning of our home – 3 finished levels equating to over 3500 sq.
ft. floor surfaces. It easily transitions from one floor type to the next with no effort or manual adjustments. It does and excellent job cleaning all floor surfaces. In addition it was a treat to learn and use the on board hose with a great selection of included accessories.
Our plush carpeted staircases look amazing, our furniture is very clean and low to high surface dusting is a breeze. One of the things I most learned to appreciate was that everything I need to do the general vacuuming tasks is all on board and along for the ride.
No more running to a closet and sorting for parts or accessories – that alone saved much time and energy for the broader cleaning day. Above all else is our home is super clean when finished – no dust in the air and allergies all continue to stay at a low grade within the home.
I would recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone that is considering a new purchase and/or looking to simplify cleaning tasks without loosing performance and power. At initial purchase we thought this would supplement our regular vacuum cleaner from week to week.
Honestly, since the Dyson arrived the door to door canister has not left the closet, and that’s been many weeks ago. This machine is truly a game changer. No regrets and we have used it in all capacities that we would utilize a vacuum cleaner in our home.

Details With the EyeVac Professional, sweep debris up to the infrared sensors at the base and the debris will be automatically suctioned into the easy to dump canister. Perfect for home, hair salons and more.
Bought this as my Christmas present to myself. I have three dogs, two teenage boys and a 14 month old. Dirt is a constant in our house but this makes sweeping the floors so much easier. I wish I would’ve gotten one a long time ago.
It’s pretty straight forward with easy set up and a light to tell you when it’s full. I’m sure the home versions are smaller than this one but the size doesn’t bother me. It fits nicely into our corner.
I wasn’t sure about this, but returns to my local BBB store are straightforward so I decided to give it a shot. We have dogs (so clean up hair constantly). I had read that some newly constructed home have these built into the kick spaces or walls.
I set it up in my laundry room, it works great ! It is ideal if you use swiffers or other similar things, which never get up all of the debris on the floor. I steer the swiffer to the eye-vac and POOF ! Sometimes I just steer a few wads of dog hair to it with my foot.
I purchased the EyeVac Pro because I don’t need a full size vacuum for my studio apartment. I have hardwood floors and thought that this product would be ideal for the daily sweeps of random hair, dust, etc.
The EyeVac has great suction, however, when you sweep hair, random particles like string, etc does not get deposited into the container, instead it gets stuck in the filter. After a few sessions the suction is gone.
Don’t mistake this for large amounts of particles, I am very tidy and live alone. So it is just the random particles that are brought into the apt on a daily basis. I am not a person that returns used items, but, in this case, I returned the item after a few months of giving it a good try.
QVC was very gracious to accept the return and credit my account.

The Prolux 7000 Sealed HEPA Vacuum is a powerful deep cleaning high end vacuum. It uses a powerful deep cleaning 12 AMP thermal protected by-pass motor. This high end vacuum is designed to last for many years.
this is for the Prolux Upright Sealed HEPA Upright Vacuum – 7000. First – the target description is wrong on 2 items: the filter is NOT washable, and it does not have height adjust. When I first started using mine the brushroll did not turn when i turned on the vacuum.
After removing the bottom cover the belt was just in the wrong place. Cons: same as another comment – 1. the vac’s narrow chisel hose attachment is almost useless, squeaks on the floor and overtaxes the vac, making the “check bag” light come on.
I don’t use it very often. 2. A comment also mentioned the screw came loose on the handle, after 3 uses my handle is wobbly. 3. at 19 lbs, it is a bit on the heavy side, 4. the manual pictures are not very good, it is awesome that they have online videos for maintaining and replacing parts.
PROS: even without floor height adjustment, the good suction seems to work well on floors and moves easily to rugs and carpet. 2. It has good suction and the attachments are useful and stored nicely with easy access.
3. The wand base extends out about 12″, and with the extension attachment on top of it you can get some really good reach without bending over. 4. The swiveling hose base is also effective at preventing kinks and enhancing reach.
5. The wide path of the vacuum is great. 6. The wheels are rubber and roll smoothly. The lights work well. 7. I like the 2 filters for extra air protection, it does not have a side vent blowing air/pollution back in the room.
8. All in all it is a solid vacuum and I would recommend it.
What can I say, I love this vacuum! In all seriousness, when my son was in high school and didn’t know what to do concerning a job or career, one of the things I suggested was to design a user friendly vacuum.
Well Prolux must have heard me. It has a super cool look with that gorgeous red color. This is a solid feeling machine. It has a little heft to it, but I don’t mind that. All the onboard tools are, well.
on board! And a genius wand extending feature. It has a bag, which I prefer. The cord is nice and long so you can vacuum more real estate without having to replug. And the height is self adjusting, so you don’t have to fiddle with that.
The noise is at a pleasant decibel level. Don’t get me wrong, you know it’s on, but it’s not uncomfortable. At least to my ears. The side rubber bumpers are a light gray color, not black. So it shouldn’t discolor bottom mouldings.
Oh. and it picks up stuff, too, lol. So all in all, I am so pleased I found this machine. And my son ended up getting his bachelors in computer technology. Probably the better choice. He couldn’t design a vacuum much better!.
We live in a 1250 sq. ft. 2 story townhouse that is wall to wall carpeted with a deep pile light sand colored carpet that we installed 2 1/2 yrs. ago. We had been using a popular bagless upright. About a month ago I noticed that the carpet wasn’t “fluffing up” like it used to after it was vacuumed, even tough we had just professionally steam cleaned it last Oct.
I started to do some online research and decided that the Prolux 7000 looked like it would be a good fit for our needs. We have been using it for a week now and our carpet has never looked better! It also does a good job vacuuming the vinyl kitchen and bathroom floors, even though you can’t turn off the brush for bare floors.
The Prolux has very strong suction and I especially like the easy to use attached wand for cleaning along baseboards, corners, under low furniture, dusting, ect. The turbo tool works great on upholstered furniture and stairs.
We purchased the optional 15 ft. extention hose and this with the turbo tool makes vacuuming the stairs a snap. I especially like the 30 ft. cord which allows vacuuming each floor with out having to keep unplugging the vacuum.
And the brush roll doesn’t rotate when the handle is in the up position, which prevents unnecessary carpet wear when using the tools. I am 65 yrs. old and over the past 50 plus yrs. I have used just about every kind and brand of vacuum there is.
I think that the Prolux 7000 combines many of the best features of all these various vacuums and is a wonderful vacuum for all around needs, but most especially deep pile carpets. I have also decided that I much prefer a bagged vacuum over a bagless.
With a bagless you must regularlly clean filters, when you empty the dust bin there is dust flying everywhere and the dust bin never looks clean, because it isn’t unless you wipe it out with a damp cloth after emptying it, a real pain.
Great Vac’s is a great company to do business with and they provide good communication via email. The Prolux 7000 pr.
I prefer upright hoovers using a traditional bag. I did my research before buying this and also went into the store to try one of the models. Unfortunately the store did not have the model but had a similar model that wasn’t quite working correctly.
The Sebo representative was not available either but luckily there was a 6th form student who knew about the brand and he was helpful and showed me the key features. I bought one despite not being able to try it in store as I had read all the reviews.
I am so pleased with this hoover. It has an extra long cable that allows you to plug in one room and use in another and it comes with extra tools and is simple to operate. It is so good my mum has also bought one.
I highly recommend this and I am a nuclear scientist by profession and this is German engineering at its best. The light is helpful too when there is less daylight and the chalk scented sticks that go in the hoover bag make the room smell lovely without being overly strong.
I 100% recommend this. It is the best purchase I have made in a long time.
Pros: Robust, no nonsense design. Well built and does the job effectively. Bought this model and brand as the last one we bought lasted 20 years with little or no maintenance. When the previous machine had problems spare parts were generally easy to fit.
Parts are of good quality just a bit expensive. Maintenance has been thought out carefully and faults are easily corrected. Cons: A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Design wise the weak part seems to be the connection at the base of the handle, this is what wore out on the previous model we had.
Worth making sure the appliance is not lifted from the handle in order to avoid damage. Otherwise there does not seem to be any designed obsolescence in Sebo’s, they just go and go. Like most bag based vacuums the suction decreases as the bag fills but this is not significant.
Amazing results. I have tiled, hardwood, and laminate (Amtico) floors, carpets and rugs. Also two dogs. The X7 manages all will ease. With my other cleaner and I was constantly having to empty the bag less unit and change the brush heads – making vacuuming a daily time consuming chore.
But this SEBO does it all and has reduced my vacuuming time significantly. I have found that I do not need to vacuum as often because it is so efficient. Suction is great and the dusting tool really does do the dusting.
I am also impressed by the volume the bag holds since I still have not filled the bag after a week. Love it. I only wish there was somewhere to put the hose attachment. But that is a small point considering how this machine has given me back my life! My only regret is not buying one sooner.

Reviews From Real Customers
You know this industry segment is still very young when the best robot vacuum by far which is this S7 MaxV Ultra has quite a few areas to improve on but all in all. I LOVE IT! This is advanced AI coupled with top level engineering at its finest for robot vacuum cleaners.
At this point, Roborock is Roborock’s biggest competitor – however, there’s def room for improvement. Below is everything the bot does really well that are selling points. For the “Needs to improve” I’ll indicate whether these are software fixes or hardware changes which means you’d have to wait for the next version and hope the changes are built in as part of the bots physical hardware component.
Best Features – Intuitive UI & navigation software packed with useful features (3D map, 2 way calling, etc) – Ability to auto fill bot with water, auto empty dustbin and wash mop – Great battery life (my experience) – On board video camera to see where bot is cleaning – Carpet detection feature with mop auto lift – AI obstacle recognition, avoidance & tagging – Room recognition with machine learning capabilities.
– Various cleaning configuration settings Needs to improve – Show water levels in app (hardware fix) – Increased suction doesn’t do much for carpets. Still misses threads and small particles from time to time.
(hardware fix) – Ability to copy routines and schedules (software fix) – Ability to save zones just like we do with rooms (software fix) – Ability to rearrange routines order so they show up on the homescreen shortcut in the order we want (software fix) – Ability to delete rooms (software fix) – App update for things like: Create shortcut for schedules on home screen for quicker access (software fix), Ability to select custom shape for zone cleaning, currently square shape (software fix), etc.
– Bigger tires to clear higher obstacle climbs. See image of my bathroom wedge that it couldnt climb. If yours is this high too then forget about it, it won’t make it. (hardware fix) – D design bot shape instead of circle to allow bot to reach corners and hard to reach areas (hardware fix) – Mop auto lift needs to be improved for higher height carpet clearance So why the 5 star rating? Because the best features greatly outweigh the need foe improvements, in addition most of the improvements are software changes that Roborock can easily implement with firmware upgrades.
This is a game changer for our household and allows us to not have to take a significant amount of time out of our schedules to clean the floors in our large house. We have three minor critiques and that is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5.
Firstly, thick plush rugs you have to make a no go zone, it cannot vacuum that area without pulling the rugs along or up; and too thin rugs it cannot detect and will mop over making it wet. Be sure to set all no go and no mop zones ahead of use and do not assume auto-detection.
Secondly, mirrors, reflective surfaces, and curved legs on furniture cause issues and it will run into these. It will ride up curved furniture legs, run into our girls reflective gold chair legs, and freeze/not continue at the full length mirror that goes to the floor.
If it is to vacuum their rooms, I put the chairs up and move the mirrors. Lastly, you must have a tidy home for it to clean your home. Probably sounds about right, but I mean tidy. Bad thing with working from home and having kids, we have papers everywhere including all floors.
It will not see these papers or think its the floor and mow over them. Be sure to clear all floors of any type of paperwork or documents before launching the Roborock. Other than those items, which we think are minor for all the positives, it is something to be aware of.
We fell in love with the self empty, refill, mop cleaning dock that makes this a game changer. Alerts show when something needs to be refilled or emptied. We also like that we can tell it to go to a spot, because we have multiple floors; this allows us to tell it to go to the stairs and we carry it up/down.
Full map, room and zone cleaning is very helpful and way more useful than we ever thought. We are big cooks which equals a big mess, so we have it on a schedule to clean the kitchen every night along with the whole house twice a week.
If any area gets dirtier sooner, we simply tell it to clean there. This has taken something off our plates and allowed us to have more time with family and not dread cleaning the floors or have that time wasted.
I’ve been paying attention to the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra since the CES exhibition. What attracts me the most is its four self functions, self emptying, self mop washing, self cleaning, and self refilling.
This is completely an invention of freeing hands ! After months of waiting, I finally got it! About the package, it’s a little lighter than I thought. The largest box contains the base station with a very high-tech look, an additional disposable bag(can be used for 7 weeks), a manual in three languages including English, French and Spanish.
And the robot is delivered with the mop support. My one-month user experience of it. The mapping is very fast, the cleaning path is well planned with the LiDAR navigation. And there are collision reduction mode can be chosen, which is very friendly to the robot self and furnitures.
The noise is really very light, much better than some other brands. I like its cleaning performance, it can clean up a lot of hair and small particles that fall on the floor with its 5100 Pa suction.
I don’t have to clean again at all! Roborock also upgraded its obstacle avoidance with ReactiveAI 2. 0, which allows ultra to avoid more obstacles more perfectly. Overall I really like this product. I also got an H7 Pure cordless vacuum for its early bird sale, which just what I needed in my house.

S7 with Sonic Vibration Mop – White for Unisex from the brand Roborock. Long-Lasting Dirt Busting, Gone is the old, bristled design, replaced with a finned all-rubber one. It is more durable. Its spiraling blades agitate better.
And it is even better at avoiding hair tangles. , Hard Driving Suction, Equipped with Roborock’s HyperForce suction system, S7 uses 2500 Pa of suction to capture fine dust on hard floors, hair from carpets, and everything in between.
We ended up getting Roborock S7+ after trialled Deebot t9+ for 10 days. Here is my experience after a few times we used it, and some comparative analysis between the two robots: – Roborock S7 can do both mopping and vacuuming for hard floors and carpet areas in a single session, while Deebot T9 does not enter carpet areas if mopping is attached – Roborock S7 lifts the mopping for 5mm when travelling on carpet which is good enough for low to medium pile carpets.
Deebot T9 does not travel on carpet and therefore if your hard floor is separated by a carpet area you will need to manually relocate the robot to your second hard floor area. – In similar wet setting mode, Roborock S7 covered our 110 sqm hard floor mopping with a single water tank, while Deebot T9 needed a refill halfway through.
– Navigation of Roborock S7 is much more systematic and organised compared to Deebot T9. – Vacuuming results for both robots is the same, however Roborock S7 finished the job more quickly due to more organised movement patterns.
– Roborock S7 does a better mopping, Deebot leaves circular traces of side brushes in the finished floor surface after mopping. – Roborock S7 has not have any issues to return to dock and have not been lost so far.
Deebot T9 was lost and had trouble in returning to the dock 50% of the times. – Roborock S7 completely ignored and could not detect small objects such as cables as good as Deebot T9 – Noise level is less in Roborock S7, the noise level was almost the same with and without mopping attached.
Deebot T9 gets quite noisy when mopping and is a little more noisy even when the mopping is not attached. – Roborock S7 you have the option to use non disposable pads and dust bag which is lower ongoing costs.
Personally I prefer cyclone dust container. – Roborock S7 is more expensive, we paid almost 450 AUD more compared to Deebot T9 – Roborock S7 needs less (almost none) supervision while you cannot leave Deebot T9 unsupervised – Roborock S7 app is more flexible and user friendly offering more features and less bugs.
Hubby and I bought our roborock in Dec 2021 from Godfreys. She has been used every 2nd day (mopping and vacuming) for almost 5 months now with no issues other than general maintenance like wiping over her sensors.
We DO NOT expect this machine to function as a full on vacume, but rather just to pick up the daily debris and leaves etc that our little dogs walk into the house and to be a quick mopping once over.
We aren’t overly messy people and don’t have kids. Things we love: – She really cleans! – You can set up lines and walls in the app so she doesn’t go near stairs etc (Though she does have the stairs function where she auto-senses that its a drop off and she will vacume along it but not fall off the edge- this is extremely anxiety inducing to witness lol) – The mopping and sweeping all happens from the same machine.
Saves me having to run 2 and saves me having to vacume before i manually mop if i choose to though I haven’t needed to at all yet because the robot does such a great job for me. (we have hardwood floors and no kids) -I love that she auto-docks herself and takes herself home when the battery gets low so that i don’t have to bother doing it and that she can run while i’m not at home.
– I like that she ‘talks’ and tells you whats wrong if something does go wrong. – She does a great job on carpets, we have her set to high suction on carpets and lower on the hardwood and she actually collects all the dust and debris rather than pushing it around like our vacume does on the hardwoods.
– I love that you can schedule it for when you’re home or not home – The app is pretty user friendly and the whole thing gets up and running in no time when you buy her new. – I LOVE that she is so tiny she can get under the oven and under the bed.
Places that my vacume just can’t get. The overall result is a much less dusty home – I like that you can see what she’s up to or where she’s stuck on the app even when you’re not home. – I love that she auto senses walls and furniture and doesn’t knock stuff over or leave scuff marks on the walls or furniture.
Things that could be better – The walls and the “no go zones” are a bit hit and miss. Especially if you move furniture and she can then get in there. – ITS LOUD on full speed/high suction. Not nearly as loud as a regular vacume of course, but its extremely annoying when shes in the same room as you lol.
(Having said that- I am an extra sensitive person and have noise rreactive ptsd so I am very likely over exadurrating how annoying it is. It really doesn’t bother my husband at all) -I WISH it came with the auto-empty station.
Ours gets full after 2 goes around our house (we have a big house though and she does every room). I often forget to empty her and a spoken reminder when the machine runs next would be nice or for a bundle deal when buying both.
-When she mops, if you have anything powdery on the floor she may leave streaks of her every pass all over your floors. But this isn’t really some thing to worry excessively about, it only happened to us because hubby left jiprock residue on the floor and then she cleaned lol.
– She will eat ALL cords. You have to be EXTREMELY careful with phone charging cords, power cords and especially headphones, cos she WILL suck them up and get stuck and probably break them (she ate my senheizer headphones lol) – She will try to eat your curtains if they’re sheers and sit on the floor lol.
-The black version which we have shows dust badly on the top of her, just needs a frequent wipe down. – The little bin that holds the rubbish is tiny and its tedious as heck to try and empty it out completely, the housing for the filter means you can’t just remove the filter and tip out the rubbish, you need to stand there and manually prize it out of all the little nooks and crannies.
Not overly annoying but i wish the whole end just opened and then it’d all slide out and into the bin with minimal handling too, the way it is now, you have to pinch the fluff and dust goes flying everywhere.
Overall though, I really love the little thing and she’s saving my back and my vacumes life. She’s extremely handy and i’ll definitely buy this brand again if/when we need to upgrade.
Bought this after a recommendation from a mate and it is, hands down, one of the best purchases I’ve made. I have a large tiled area downstairs with a few rugs and regular low-pile carpet upstairs, and it does them both really well.
When moving it between the ground floor and 1st storey I just move it with the base station and it figures out its location pretty quickly. I also have a sunken TV room and do the same thing in there.
I think the mop function works very well also and you can definitely feel the difference when you walk on it with bare feet. You need to be realistic – it’s good for regular, general mopping but if you have had a party and the floor is very dirty then you’d be best to break out a real mop instead.
You need to also remember to remove the mop head and rinse/wring it out each time, but still much easier than regular manual mopping. One key advantage is that it can fit into places that normally don’t get cleaned, like under cupboards, couches and the oven.
It navigates around obstacles & drops very well. I wasn’t expecting just how much dust it could pick up on the carpet. This is probably because it runs slower and more overlapping than the haphazard way I usually vacuum.
I haven’t had many issues with it so far – there was one time when the water tank leaked a little but that was only one time. I bought a spares kit off eBay for $30 but haven’t needed anything yet. It can get a little messy cleaning out the dust bin into the trash, but that’s standard for a bagless vacuum.
The app could be a little better, with the latest update making room names & mop/vac settings illegible from the map view.

Works like a champ. I have hardwoods, rugs, carpet, and tile throughout current home and it switches seamlessly between all three without having to change the device. Has been a life saver with hardwood floors and no longer having to waste 45+minutes/day sweeping to only have a ton of doggo hair left behind- 20mins and all surfaces are clean af! Quiet, effective, and extremely efficient.
Awesome product. Our first time buying a vaccuum at this price point and quality but we already love it. They called us almost immediately after we placed our online order and asked if we would prefer the next day shipping or standard 4-5 day shipping with a bunch of extra bags and filters.
We weren’t in too much of a rush so we chose to receive the extra bags. Everything came as promised on the day it was expected. Great experience. Would buy from them again although these vacuums are said to last for 10-15 years so I hope I won’t need to buy another one for a while.
I’ve only used it a few times, but this canister vacuum is much quieter than any vacuum cleaner I’ve had before. It also has lots of ways to adjust it to the needs of the particular job at hand. I like that the tools have somewhere to hide and that the stick clips into the canister to stand up vs.
our previous vacuum which gave me gray hairs from the loud bang every time the stick wand would topple over onto the floor!.

When it comes to weight and convenience, you cant beat the HART High Capacity Cordless Stick Vacuum. A mix between a stick and an upright vacuum, this combines the benefits of a lightweight, cordless stick vac, with the free-standing design and XL capacity of an upright vacuum.
It has 3 mode settings to easily transition between multiple floor surfaces. The included 20V battery offers over 30 minutes of runtime, and fully charges in only 2 hours. With an XL dirt cup, you can spend more time cleaning and less time emptying.
Additionally, this model includes a tool-free removable roller bar making maintenance simple. The steerable design allows you to easily maneuver around objects and furniture. Plus, its free-standing, so its convenient to store.
This stick vac is also battery powered, so you can move freely from room to room without the hassle of a cord. In addition to the vacuum, the kit includes a 20V 4. 0Ah Lithium-ion Battery, Fast Charger, filter and operators manual.
All HART 20V Batteries work with all HART 20V tools.
The Hart High-Capacity Cordless Stick Vacuum arrived very well packaged to avoid any damage during shipping. It was very easy to assemble because all you really have to do is insert the aluminum handle portion into the main body of the vac until it clicks securely into place.
Easy-peasy. The attractively designed vac seems to be quite well made with quality materials and has a nice solid feel to it. You then place the 20 volt / 4ah lithium battery into the supplied charger, plug it in to a wall outlet and top off the battery charge.
When this initial charge is complete, you’re ready to go. There are three operating modes on this vac that you can cycle through by pressing the “Mode” button. 1 – “Hard Floor” (lower suction and slower brush roll rotation) 2 – “Carpet” (max suction and fast brush roll rotation) 3 – “Brush Off” (max suction and no brush rotation) The vac seems to have very strong suction in the “Carpet” and “Brush Off” mode.
I found that it was actually lifting up our wall to wall carpeting a bit from the floor – I never expected this amount of suction from a cordless stick vacuum and was pleasantly surprised. This vacuum works extremely well on short pile carpeting but struggles somewhat on carpeting with a deeper pile height – it just doesn’t have the power to deal with higher pile and the brush roll bogs down quite a bit.
In our house, the true test of a stick vac is picking up errant bits of kitty litter on hard surface flooring which in our case is ceramic tile. I’m pleased to say that the Hart High-Capacity Cordless Stick Vacuum easily passed this test.
It worked best for this chore when in the “Brushless” mode – lots of suction and no scattering of the litter bits from brush roll rotation. If I could offer one suggestion to Hart it would be that they figure out a way to include a fourth operating mode: “High Suction and Slow Brush Roll”.
To me, that would be ideal for ceramic tile. This vac has rubber-like wheels in the rear and two small rubber-like rollers under the front. I mention this because other stick vacs I’ve owned have cheaper hard plastic wheels and rollers.
Hard plastic is fine on a very smooth surface, but on ceramic tile the hard plastic wheels make a lot of racket when rolling back and forth over the grout lines. This is not the case with the Hart rubber wheels and rollers – they are much quieter when rolling over grout lines.
Speaking of noise, the Hart vac is fairly noisy when operating in the “Hard Floor” and “Carpet” modes. This excessive noise comes from the rotating brush roll. When operating in the “Brush Off” mode, the vac is much, much quieter.
The dust canister is very easy to remove and empty into your trash can. There is a foam filter in the top portion of the dust canister that can be removed and rinsed in warm water to clean periodically.
The advertised running time on a full battery is 30 minutes, and that sounds about right to me. My guess is that this 30-minute estimate may vary based on which operating mode you primarily use. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the battery from empty.
Bottom line: The Hart High-Capacity Cordless Stick Vacuum is an excellent addition to your home cleaning arsenal and works very well on most surfaces, but you’ll still need your full-size vacuum if you have rooms with deeper pile carpeting.
This stick vacuum has a lot of good features such as easily removable brush roller, dirt basket, etc. Another great feature is that it’s pretty lightweight. I charged the battery for about 2 hours and the vacuum ran for 18 minutes not too bad.
The suction on the vacuum is sort of weak. Mind you, I’m comparing it to a Dyson V6 which is not their highest line of vacuums. I think this vacuum is well suited for hard floors. It has a hard floor setting which slows down the rotator brush and it works fabulously on my hard floors.
I used the vacuum on my thick carpet rugs which normally will choke down any other roller brush type vacuum. The roller brush head on the Hart stick didn’t slow down, but that’s because I’m guessing it doesn’t have any overcurrent protection.
The vacuum comes with a 2 amp charger and a 4 amp hour battery meaning it will take about 2 hours to charge the battery and you will get about 18 minutes of runtime. I tried it on my cut pile carpeting which is not too thick and it just doesn’t have the suction for my needs where we live in a home that has a lot of sand on the exterior.
After vacuuming all the rooms in my home I did find a bit of fine particles in there, but it does not compare to a 120 volt vacuum. This vacuum is well suited for hard floors and low pile rugs. It does really well on wood floors and tile floors and the edge suction is top notch.
The power supply transformer for the battery charger got very warm during charging, that’s a little concerning to me. I think the people at heart are working hard to provide the consumer with a good grade product at a reasonable price, this one is a good on their 20 volt line of tools.
I will definitely use this vacuum to clean up my tile wood and painted concrete surfaces – it works well for that. Another thing it works really well for is vacuuming the chairs and couches if you have any pet hair on there, did a great job for that.
This high capacity cordless stick vacuum has saved me from the dreaded chore of vacuuming and fighting with a long electrical cord that keeps getting tangled or caught on things. I just received my vacuum yesterday and have already cleaned my home with it.
There is a battery fuel gauge that lets you know how much power is left on the battery–just press the charge level indicator button on the battery and see what level of charge is left (0-10%, 10-25%, 25-50%, 50-75% or 75-100%).
You don’t have to wait until the battery is completely drained before recharging it. There are MANY safety rules relevant to the battery so please be sure to read all of the literature that comes in the box.
After I attached the handle and charged the battery pack, I was good to go. The vacuum has 3 modes: hard floor mode (good for all types of hard floors), carpet mode, and brush off mode (for delicate floors).
My house is all tile with a few area rugs so I mostly used the hard floor mode. It does a pretty good job of swiveling around furniture, etc. My ears are very sensitive to loud noises and the noise level in hard floor mode isn’t bad at all.
Carpet mode is more noisy. With my old canister vac, I have to put cotton in my ears. I don’t need the cotton with this vac. That’s nice! The suction level of this vac is good! When I finished vacuuming, I emptied the dirt cup, rinsed the filter (let it dry for 24 hrs), and cleaned the brush roller (some cat and human hair) by pulling the roller out (use a coin to unlock the roller and slide it out from the assembly.
This vac doesn’t take up a lot of space and I store it upright in a closet. It is wonderful to be cordless while vacuuming. I recommend this stick vacuum.
BISSELL AirRam Cordless Upright Vacuum Ditch the cord and keep the power. This cordless vac maneuvers easily and is perfect for small spaces such as dorm rooms and apartments where storing a full-size vacuum isn’t practical.
But don’t let its small size fool you. The multi-surface brush roll delivers high performance cleaning on carpets, hard floors and area rugs with no cords to get in the way. That’s cleaning freedom. We have ordered this model as our older Dyson broke down and are happier with this model compared to Dyson which was heavy, a bit awkward to move around with and much more expensive. This Phillips model was having a nice price, is much lighter, can get/reach each corner and does so far a very good job.
