20 Best Vaccum For Sand (2022 Updated)

I bought my V7 as a refurbished machine from Dyson. It arrived and looking at it it looked brand new so was feeling pleased. Got it all set up. Noticed it was really quiet in operation. fantastic. I was falling in love with it.

It was lightweight and was beginning to think I had made a wise choice. Then things started to go wrong. I noticed the beater bar wasn’t rotating. I took the beater bar out of the head and realised the motor was turning but a part, I assuming it is called a drive dog or something was missing.

Not to worry a premium product would have exemplary support mechanisms in place. Nope wrong there! I was quite happy to fit the missing part myself if Dyson would send it out. I thought I’d use the option of the WhatsApp messaging service to contact customer services.

I sent photos and videos as requested but all I seemed to get was a generic response of “I can sort this out for you”. Of course that never happened. I ended up phoning customer services who were very pleasant who suggested that “they could send a new beater head out.

BUT they were out of stock and would take 10 to 14 days to come in”. So here we have a Dyson V7 raring to be used but would be potentially sitting in a cupboard for nigh on 3 weeks between ordering and getting the part so I could use it.

Absolutely not acceptable. Would have been happy for the whole caboodle to be exchanged but apparently that wasn’t possible. Dyson very kindly offered to refund my money and collect the faulty machine.

Now what was I going to do??? Simples, I ordered a Samsung Jet 95. An absolutely superb machine. Slightly heavier than the V7, slightly louder in operation but it works perfectly. Most impressed. So a big thank you to Dyson for letting me down, though the poor experience of your customer service I was forced into the arms of a competitor.

I felt duty bound to share my experience and to explain to other potential purchasers that Dyson are not all they are cracked up to be.

I’ve used my Dyson for several weeks now with mixed results. Good points – easy to run over carpets, tiles or any floor surface without having to change attachment. Very good at picking up dog hairs.

Handy to put in car to take to our caravan. Not such good points – not in my opinion great for doing a thorough clean. I had to revert back to my cylinder vacuum particularly to get into corners, skirting and cobwebs in conservatory where although I could reach with the long tube the power didn’t seem to be there to pull cobwebs off (If you use high power it doesn’t last long enough).

The attachment brushes don’t seem to be firm enough for fabrics, corners. If it is being used with a short attachment the outlet blows into your face. Overall – I’ll find it useful as a second appliance to go quickly around the house for a clear up.

Wouldn’t recommend it as an only appliance for a deep clean.

We have had our Dyson v7 which we bought based on the reviews about 6 months. It’s main plus point is of course no cables but alas that is about the best we can say about it. The machine works well enough on hard surfaces but if you need it for carpets forget it ,we have mainly carpets and it simply lacks a decent suction requiring numerous passes the same area to get even a basic cleaning job done, very disappointing.

Battery life was just about adequate from a new charge. The tools are fine and it fits together well enough but basic functions we found inadequate. We paid a recent visit to curry’s to try out the other battery stick cleaners in the range and found them equally poor on carpet suction ! Including the top of the range ( £600) laser one , sorry Dyson you need to up your game on these vacuums.

We have reverted back to an upright corded ( shark) and it is much much better. Tony.

This vacuum was on my radar for 2-3 months before I pulled the trigger. Historically, I’d never considered purchasing a Shark product that was somewhat comparable in price to a Dyson. It sounds silly, but does it really? Dyson seems to have the “market” convinced that they’re the king of suction.

I currently own 2 Dyson vacuums (handheld and upright) and they a do a great job on hard wood and tile floors, but stairs and car interiors were a huge hassle to clean regularly. In addition to those 2, I own and use an additional 6 handheld or upright vacuums in combination against German Shepherd glitter.

The Shark ® Vertex ™ Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum in Black/Copper has blown all of them all away! I’m not particularly strong, so the overall weight of the canister and the attachment is significantly important to me.

It’s so versatile and powerful out of the box and I think this is due to the actual power cord vs cordless vacuums. In my opinion, corded power is significantly stronger. I’ve been able to clean all areas with ease using the vacuum head, power handle, and attachments.

Hard to reach areas behind the toilets, the dust on baseboards, windowsills, light fixtures, inside drawers, behind/between car seats, lint catch in the dryer, my dog’s bed (twice a day), and so many other things that I hated doing because the other vacuums are so much heavier or cumbersome.

The brush roll attachment is not too wide and not too narrow, as it covers a great amount of space but it able to navigate tighter spaces that my uprights cannot. I was so impressed with it’s performance that I purchased additional attachments on the Shark website.

The Self Cleaning Pet Power brush is phenomenal! They should really sell a version that includes this brush for pet parents, because the brush is insanely good. I spent an additional $160 for 4 attachments plus tax/shipping, but only the power pet brush was really necessary.

Overall, I wish I would have purchased this much sooner! I purchased it when Costco had it priced much lower than BBB, but with a sale and a BBB Beyond + membership, it was still cheaper and only a few bucks more than the non-duo clean version.

The only con, is that the dust cup does get dusty when it’s emptied- but like someone else said, that’s normal with any vacuum. German Shedder (Shepherd) mom approved!.

My Shark canister vacuum was a Christmas gift. We have a Shark lift away upright; which I love but I wanted a canister vacuum to be able to clean everything from one room to the next. Unfortunately, thus one just doesn’t do the task for me.

I cannot go very far with this vacuum as it tips over while trying to get to the attachments or if you are trying to vacuum from the floor the hose isn’t very bling or an addition metal hide attachment is needed.

I like to vacuum my drapes, window shades and window seals and furniture. If I try to reach my curtains the entire canister lifts up which makes it difficult for me to get my chores done. I also do not like the attachments being attached on the outside as they get In the way and fall off.

The canister unit needs to have a self storing compartment under the lid for additional attachments. The beater bar unit needs to be able to stand up by itself without falling over. I must definitely would love Shark to have a model canister that I can use from one room to the next with just a switch of attachments.

Including a separate floor attachment for hard floors along with the crevice and small wand for furniture would be awesome. An additional metal wand that would extend so I could reach my ceiling fans and drapes would be amazing.

Having a detachable beater bar unit along with the separate hard floor attachment would ever so helpful and will save on the beater bar unit getting dirty from kitchen and bathroom floors. If you could take these added features with the awesome cleaning power of the Shark; you would have a winning machine.

I hope these suggestions will be welcomed by your designing department. Thank you for allowing my review of this product. In do love the cleaning power of your uprights; I just really like the all in one canister vacuum.

Shark Vertex Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins is shocking. We had another shark cordless and this by far cleaned up more than ever before. We had no idea what our other vacuum was missing.

Anti-Allergen Complete Seal traps over 99. 9% of dust and allergens… this is totally noticeable once we cleaned with our other and then tested immediately with the Shark Vertex. We have 4 kids & 3 dogs, you can say it gets messy.

But we haven’t had any hair get caught in the PowerFin roller. I’m able to get it high places and under items much easier with the wand. The wand is multi flex so it bends in multiple directions, it has attachments that are helpful for our couch, chairs any upholstered items, even hard to reach cracks and small areas are easier to reach.

The tubing is long too, so I’m not restricted while cleaning. There’s an LED light that allows me to see well under items without moving around, making sure I don’t suck up something not needed. Perfect for the entire house cleaning.

There are super convenient buttons on the handle that allows me to power on/off, low or high pile, hardwood and 3 different levels of suction, it’s a beast! The overall weight is light. Super smooth to move around my home.

And it’s SO quiet! I do wish the cord was longer, being used to my cordless, I have to unplug and reconnect a lot with our large home. But it’s retractable, so no need to wind this around any part of the machine… overall this machine is worth it for the amount of suction, cleaning power and ease of those tough areas to reach.

Bonus here, the look of this vacuum is gorgeous! Sleek, modern, it’s not something that you want to hide, looks beautiful & easy to fold down for storage, I place this in my laundry room, unhidden.

I got the Crosswave Max as a splurge birthday present. It has since been returned for the following reasons. It is NOT convenient. Have to assemble before each use, fill with water and their solution (cannot use just water for brush head reasons), then after use have to run the brush clean function and disassemble and clean all the other parts and let them dry.

So you need a dedicated area for all this, just like a full on carpet cleaner. In all that time it takes to assemble and clean up after, I can bend over and pick up or sweep up any of my toddler’s mess AND warm up and use my steam mop.

Going back to the brush cleaning cycle, it does not do much to clean the brush. The brush remains dirty, discoloured, and unless you soak it in detergent for at least 30 minutes with a good rinse after (blue dish soap, or laundry soap, or their solution, etc), it will remain dirty and leaves a lot of streaks and milky film on the floor the next use.

I have darker floors, so it looked disgusting after the wetness dried. I would have to use my steam mop after using the crosswave and the pad would be very gross after, but atleast the floors would finally look good.

It’s also a slow machine to use. You basically wet the floor area going slowly so it’s evenly wet and then have to go over it several times to try to dry it as much as possible. You have to do this section by section.

It would take much too long to do only my kitchen, where I could sweep or vacuum and mop it in half the time. This machine is a great idea in theory, but it is not convenient or efficient and left my floors dirtier than before using it.

The company states the brushes need to be replaced after ten hours of use (I did not use it nearly that long and the brush heads were awful after a short time) and they are not cheap to replace. Also have to use their solution, again not cheap.

For such an expensive device, it requires a lot of additional costs and left my floors disgusting after. 0/5 stars.

We have 6 dogs who constantly tread dirt in from the garden and hair collects quickly. Having had the original corded Crosswave for several years I decided to try the new Cordless Max simply for the cordless feature.

I wasn’t however expecting such a marked improvement in cleaning and ease of use in general with the product. The extra weight of the machine makes it feel like a more substantial machine, helps it hug the floor and the extra-large roller does a much better job of cleaning dirt up the first time.

I would have to go over the same spot a few times with the original Crosswave. The original Crosswave did have better button placement for changing between Hard Floor and Rug. On the Cordless Max, they are just too far forward to change on the fly though this is a minor niggle.

The self-cleaning brush is really easy to use and doesn’t make a mess. I have noticed that pet hair does seem to mount up inside the roller cover whilst in use rather than being pulled into the machine, it doesn’t seem to get blocked and it clears the moment it goes through a cleaning cycle.

The important point is none is left on the floor! I’m happy with the one Brushbar included but I do wish on such an expensive machine that Bissell would include two filters as they can take a while to dry.

I wouldn’t want to risk moisture getting into the motor by using a damp filter by mistake so buying a second is a must if you intend to use the machine daily. Overall, this is a massive improvement over the original corded unit in almost every way and I’m really pleased I chose to upgrade to this.

I purchased this vacuum back in May/June of 2021 and have had the last 6 months to really use this thing and put it to the test and honestly- I’m not impressed. I’m already way past the return window, so I just wanted to leave a review for others so people can know my personal experience.

It doesn’t have the suction to pull the cleaner/water out of any rugs or carpet I own. So, we are left with wet carpet for hours after using this. It also does not clean the floors properly with the brush.

It’s really just moving dirty water around while only sucking up a small fraction of what I have put down. There are dirty water streaks every time I use this to mop. When using the vacuum dry, the dust and hair clog up the filter within minutes and I have to empty it multiple times while vacuuming, even though the container itself is not nearly full.

I have a long haired cat, and I myself have long hair. Neither of these things have agreed with this vacuum. If you have a cat and plan on vacuuming any cat litter with this- don’t. It will become a large clay litter clump in the suction tube of the vacuum that you have to get out yourself.

It will also leave nasty gray streaks of litter/water on the floor. Additionally, my fallen hair gets so tangled in the spinning brush that I have to cut it off. Honestly, that might not be avoidable or the fault of the vacuum.

My hair also gets caught on the sides of the spinning brush and becomes an unmanageable mess that can’t be removed. This was probably my worst “big purchase” of 2021. If I could return it, I would.

This vacuum was used as the backup (in between cleaning with light debris and hair). It stopped working conveniently just after the return window expired. I ordered a replacement part (roller head piece) from the manufacturer and it didn’t fix it.

The issue runs deeper itself. To repair it would be more money than it is worth. Very disappointed. Loved how lightweight it is. Love the easy to clean canister. But I expected this to last a few years.

Not a few months. Buy something else.

Vacuum pretty much performs adequately until the HEPA filter gets clogged with fine dust (about 20 minutes). Then you have to wash filter and let dry for at least 24 hours. According to Kenmore ‘ s customer service, there is no replacement filter available for this unit.

They didn’t know the unit had a filter, so I suspected they were mistaken about the replacement. I have searched for them for about a year, and have a set in my closet that are very close to the right size, but they don’t fit, so I suppose they are not available.

Maybe I should buy another vacuum for use while the filter dries.

BUYER BEWARE Pros: lightweight Cons: cheaply made. Bin fills quickly so you have to stop and empty it out often. The head on the vacuum feels like it was made by fisher price. If you have a dog or cat or multiples this is not the vacuum for you it does not pick up the hair at all.

I purchased based on the reviews but clearly they were all either paid or have no pets and no kids.

I just started using this Shark Wandvac Cirdless Vacuum and I love it. I usually use a Vacuum With a cord and Vacuum bag for My regular house cleaning but After using this Shark Vacuum I am not going back.

I love The Vacuum cleaner it has great Suction and is very easy to push And move around the room. It Picks everything up including Dog hair. The rollers are self Cleaning so the hair dies not. get stuck in the rollers and needs to Be cut loose.

The Vacuum is lightweight which is perfect for Me since I am older and have Back issues it is so easy to use Without getting back pain from Using a heavy unit. This Vacuum Comes with several attachments Which allows you to easily reach Those hard to clean areas.

The Vacuum is also able to fit under My couch to remove dirt since it Is flat and moves around easily. While running the Vacuum it Also adjusts nicely between The carpet and hardwood floors I think my favorite feature on the Vacuum is the self empty system Everyone knows how messy and Annoying it is to dump all the Dirt from your Vacuum to the Trash and the mess it makes When it spills on the floor.

You Don’t have to worry about that. with this system it removes the dirt For you so you don’t have to Deal with all the messy hair And dirt that have been removed From your carpet. All in all this Is a great Vacuum and I am Very pleased with its performance.

I absolutely LOVE this vacuum. I have nothing negative to say about it and it is now my go-to vacuum. It is SO easy to assemble and it’s super easy to change configurations and different accessories.

If I can do it, anyone can!! I love how lightweight and maneuverable it is. It’s easy to use under a table, stand or couch. I also love how many different configurations you can use like a full vacuum, a hand vac, or the hand vac with the extension wand.

It’s also very easy to empty the hand vac dirt cup. I also absolutely love how easy it is to attach to the charging base which then empties into the base automatically. When attached to the base, it automatically charges the vacuum or if you don’t want to charge every time, just detach the hand vac which can be stored on the vacuum itself.

It’ also really easy to take the battery out of the hand vac section if you need it out for any reason. It’s as simple as can be to open the filter sections to clean the filters as well as taking out the dirt cup that’s in the base so you can empty that.

It’s honestly the easiest/best vacuum I’ve ever used and makes a great vacuum for quick jobs or to give to a college student or someone who just needs to clean up quick and easy jobs. This vacuum cannot get any easier to use! I highly, highly recommend it to everyone! I would buy a ton of these if I had the need for them!!.

Trust Kenmore. Unlike a brand names like Samsung they aren’t overpromised or over priced cuz of the name, their home products have a reliable record. Like my old Kenmore vac is still working til this day! It’s more expensive than my old 1 for sure but I know it’ll last.

Great power for a cordless stick vacuum. My wife loves it. Has enough juice to do our living room and master bedroom on high mode. Takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge. Very light and maneuverable.

I love this vacuum cleaner. Very light, easy to use, good price and even aesthetically beautiful.

I wrote a lengthy review in January that was never published because I’d mentioned the name of another brand. I won’t make that mistake again. At the time, I’d given this 3-stars but have downgraded it to 1-star because of poor customer service and poor performance; I would give it negative stars if that were an option.

I’ve owned this since November 2021 when I bought it on sale for $700. Sorry to say it’s the worst $700 I’ve ever spent in my life. The negatives of this machine FAR outweigh any positives. It is RIDICULOUSLY heavy and will not stand up on its own.

That means you are CONSTANTLY bending down to lay it and pick it back up from the floor if you have to stop for any reason. Don’t ever consider leaning it against the counter, a table or the back of a chair because it WILL fall—though they fail to tell you this in the owners manual.

Apparently a machine smashing to the floor is not of concern to Dyson. It’s so heavy, you have to support the motor head with both hands in order to operate it for any period of time. If you have any signs of arthritis or haven’t been building your biceps at the gym for the last few years, this is not the machine for you.

Maneuverability is average; I am not able to get it under most of my furniture due to the height of the floor brush. The head has a mind of its own, twisting and turning every which way. It also can not get close enough to walls to suck up debris; when I approach a wall front on, or run the vacuum along the wall.

I have to do NUMEROUS passes to pick up anything bigger than a dust particle or pick up the vac and lay it on top of debris (take kitty kibbles, or wood pellets as an example). Also, You cannot vacuum over uneven surfaces and expect it to pick anything up.

eg You run the vacuum along the edge of a throw rug and the hard floor, it will not get the dirt along the edge of the rug, so they only way to vacuum that is roll the rug away; ya, because I want to add to the work of vacuuming my house.

The unnecessarily large waste canister means you cannot get into any tight spaces when trying to use hand tools, and the cyclones which blow air out the top just blow dust all around when you are trying to vacuum close up with hand tools (cough, cough) Quality of the hand tool brushes is subpar; I’m used to horse hair brushes and trust me when I say that matters.

The power switch and head are already failing; sometimes the brush runs when you depress the switch, and sometimes it doesn’t. 6 months out and already failing parts. I bought this at the recommendation of my sister who owns the V-11 turbo and loves it.

(That’s no longer made BTW because hey, when you got something that works, why keep it in production?) I tried her V-11 Turbo and it is far superior to this piece of junk. My primary reason for buying this machine was moving into a home with hard floors, over which I’ve strewn some area rugs.

I also wanted a cordless option for convenience and because I thought it would be easier to use as I age. Unfortunately the problems with this machine far outweigh its benefits. Dyson has known about these problems from the beginning and yet have failed to re-engineer this vacuum.

The only way they can make it right to thousands of Outsize owners is to offer them another cordless vacuum of their choosing and swap it out free of charge. I might actually revise this review if I got that kind of customer service for a $700 vacuum I expected to last me more than 6 months.

I upgraded from my Dyson V7 to the Dyson Outsize and I couldnt be happier. The dirt bin/canister is a lot bigger and I went from having to empty once (sometimes twice) when vacuuming my home to only emptying the canister when Im finished vacuuming.

The amount of dirt/debris this picks up is ridiculous. I have 2 dogs (one is a husky who sheds more than any animal Ive ever owned), a cat, a cockatiel, a hedgehog and 5 kids. Our home is prone to messes.

This vacuum keeps things tidy. Its convenient with TWO (easily interchangeable) battery packs and no cords! We recently cut the cord with our cable services and who knew cutting the cord with a vacuum would be just as satisfying?! The Outsize is heavier than the V7.

If you do not own a Dyson stick vacuum you may find it odd that there is no on switch but it requires you to continuously hold down the trigger button to operate the vacuum. At first this feature was a flaw but when using a battery powered device you want to save as much battery life as possible and simply releasing the trigger saves time and battery life than locating and toggling an on off switch/button.

I quickly adapted to this feature. Emptying the bin is also easier than with my Dyson V7. The Dyson V7 requires a pulling motion on a lever at the top of the vacuumto release the dust bin opening (on the bottom) and it wasnt always a smooth opening process.

Pulling from the top to release dust at the bottom sometimes caused some debris to miss the trash can. Its just a bit more difficult to handle and aim. However the outsize has totally fixed this issue.

You slide (rather effortlessly) a lever down toward the trash can opening the bottom lid to release the debris. I also like how all of the buttons, levers and anything you would need to push, pull or toggle is colored red.

This is something Dyson does for most models. Anything colored is user operated. It just makes things easier and more convenient. The brush head is a lot larger than the V7 as this Outsize vacuum boasts the largest vacuum head on a stick vacuum (to date 11/2021).

Its power and suction will amaze you. Its your typical plug in, standup vacuum but boasts more power, more functionality and no cord! The only cons I have are: the weight of this for a stick vacuum can be a bit overwhelming to some people.

It doesnt really bother me but my wife has said she wishes it were lighter. I guess its the trade off for a bigger dust bin and stronger motor than your typical smaller cordless vacuum. Also, the trigger continuously needing to be pressed in (as stated earlier) can also be cumbersome but its something I, personally, have quickly adapted to.

In conclusion: 10/10 I recommend this vacuum to anyone searching for a vacuum or stuck deciding between two vacuums. Look no further this is the vacuum you want. It will outperform any stick or standup vacuum you already own.

I just received this Tuesday and so far I like it. I told myself if I didn’t have a life changing moment, I would return it for the price of this thing. I’ve been vacuum shopping for over a year since giving my vacuum away.

I have all tile floors and I’m old school, so I can work a broom and mop lol. I figured I’d be okay and would get a really good one later. Well, later finally arrived!! I did some research and read a lot of reviews and decided on this one.

I have a steam mop with a light and I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to come across a spot of missed dust in a corner. Off top, I knew the 2 brush heads and attachments would be exactly what I needed to combat the surface dirt and dust.

I binged vacuumed my whole 3 bedroom apartment yesterday testing this thing out… I vacuumed appliances, vents, ceiling fans, area rugs, windows, base boards, furniture, etc. I did have to charge the chargers twice because I used them down to 0% using all three modes (depending on the area), but did not charge fully as I was not waiting the 3.

5 hours. My second charges started with about 75% each charge. With that being said, I’m sure I can finish all my floors in one session. I typically vacuum main areas all together and then rooms separately.

This was an abnormal cleaning session and I was just all over the place geeked. This thing is hands down an efficient tool. Definitely 5 stars for efficiency. There are so many tools for every job, and this really picks up the dust.

I’m not sure how it does it because it handles so smoothly and is not very loud. The suction does not death grip the surfaces but is able to smoothly glide along and hit the particles just right to clean them up.

It picks up bigger particles as well and it picked up a small clusters of dog hair from our Yorkie. She does not shed a lot but sometimes her hair will gather in a corner. Just for comparison for other dog owners.

It does not kick particles back out over the floor at all. It’s a one pass for all tools as well, not just the brush rolls. Going over the base boards was really easy whereas before I was cleaning them with cleaner solution and a rag.

My only gripe is that the Outsize is HEAVY!!! It really is. It’s easy to push over the floor and carpet but actually lifting the thing up to dust ceiling fans was treacherous. I am going to get a stepping stool to see if that helps not having to reach as high.

I will continue to brain storm how to use the reach tools to shorten the actual reach of my arm. I think that will be the ultimate solution is finding new ways to reach the crevices as comfortably as possible.

Storage and space wise, this thing is awesome. I just mounted my wall bracket and will be picking up the stand today. I will like using the stand in each room while I’m vacuuming instead of trying to set the thing down or lean it somewhere safe.

So, I would recommend buying the stand. Overall, I would say get it! The price is steep but I’ve never had a vacuum cleaner that cuts my cleaning time by more than half so I feel that it’s worth the investment.

This is my first stick vac ever and it’s exactly what I wanted, but I have nothing to compare it to. I just know the reviews I read are pretty spot on. I’m looking forward to years of use and using this vacuum in my new home (in the future).

I bought this vacuum for the first time last year. It worked great. I loved how small and lightweight it was. After 3 months of average use it stopped working. The brush head stopped spinning. I did everything the website recommends for troubleshooting and nothing worked.

Called Shark and they tried to help me fix it but couldn’t. Sent me a replacement head, which didn’t work at all, so they instead sent me a whole new vacuum. After 3 months the exact same thing happened.

It stopped working out of nowhere for seemingly no reason, nothing worked to fix it. I called Shark and they sent me a 2nd replacement vacuum (making it my 3rd vacuum of this model). That one broke *literally* the *first time* I used it.

I now have 3 whole vacuums that are practically brand new and do not work. They’re trash. I cannot recommend this vacuum to anyone. I will not be buying from Shark again.

This Shark Navigator freestyle Cordless Upright Vacuum is not only lightweight, easy to maneuver, but has great pickup ability. It is easy to set up taking me just a matter of minutes by attaching the body to the cleaner motor head by snapping into place, next inserting the enclosed screw to attach the handle to the body.

It comes with a charging dock and charger cord that inserts into the back by aligning the arrows, cord measures approximately six feet in length. The charger sits on the floor, there is a cutout slot that the wheels are placed upright in.

Full charge takes upwards to 4 hours, run time depends on which speed I’m using, the lower hard surface speed I get about 20 minutes and roughly 15 minutes while on the higher carpet speed. There is a picture of a foot on the base that is where you place your foot to release the handle which also pivots.

Vacuum turns on by pressing your foot on the button that lights up blue, tap once for carpet, twice for surface, press again for off. Dust cup holds a incredable amount of debris, is easy to remove from the unit to empty and snap back into place after emptying.

I like that it sits in a upright position by itself without it toppling over. Completely satisfied at how well my vacuum performs picking up all the food crumbs, dirt and pet hair off of my floors.

I received this unit for Christmas. I loved it for the first 6 weeks. Then the brush roller stopped working. I looked it up and found that this was a common issue with the unit and called customer support.

They offered me a 50% discount on the replacement part. I paid and waited for 3 weeks for the it to come in. It never came. I called again, and according to the rep, there was an issue processing my order.

So I placed a second order, which this time, went through. I received the new floor nozzle about a week later. I replaced the old nozzle with the new one, placing the batteries from the old unit into the new one.

The vacuum worked, but not the charging indicator light is not working on the new unit when it is on the charging station. The old unit was charging on it before I replaced the floor nozzle. Now the vacuum works, but I don’t think it is charging because it is not lighting up when on the charging station.

I called Shark again and explained the situation and they are sending me a new unit free of charge. I would not recommend this product, or any other Shark product. They do not back up their products and they clearly don’t care about the customer.

All they seem to care about is getting money because they keep a defective product on the market and charge the customer for replacement parts when they know that unit is defective. I am not a happy customer.

I liked the idea that they are making a smaller vacuum that is lighter and has a flexible motorhead. The omni-glide motorhead with double rollers is surely flexible, however it stops spinning as soon as it touches a rug.

There are of course different surfaces in a room, such as rug, tiles, hardwood etc. I can’t be switching motorhead whenever I want to vaccuum a rug. It’s not efficient. Once the motorhead stops spinning, no dirt gets picked up, and I have to turn off and on the machine, then as soon as it touches the rug, it stops spinning again.

Let’s talk about the design of the handle. Even though overall the machine is a pound lighter than the other ones, the majority of the weight is on the handle where the battery and chip is. The handle is a stick with smooth plastic surface, which means you have to be gripping hard all the time in order to push and pull.

It definitely does not feel like I’m gliding effortlessly. Dyson needs to keep in mind that a lot of customers are women who does not have as much hand strength as men, they should make things easier to grip like the traditional Dyson machines.

I get that the handle looks this way because you can push the vacuum under a bed and get into all the corners, but you can do better than a SMOOTH round handle. Even SCREWDRIVERS have grooves to provide easy grip.

Hope this inspires you to rethink your smooth stick handle. The smaller motorhead provided for carpet cleaning is great for stairs. No bigger head is provided for carpet rooms which needs a bigger head for coverage.

Overall, very disappointed with this product. Too many flaws.

I was very excited about this vacuum as I have a Shark Navigator with a hard floor attachment that works well, but I was tired of dealing with the plug and cord. I thought the maneuverability of this would be perfect for getting under furniture and I was thrilled to be able to work without a cord.

On the positive side, it holds a good charge and is extremely maneuverable. You really can lay it flat to slide under things. It feels nice in your hand and is easy to control. However, the container is TINY and hard to empty.

In doing my greatroom area I had to empty it more than 3 times. If you have any dog hair in there, you’ll most likely have to shove your hand up into the tiny container to pull it out past this brush ring that’s in there, which is fiddly and difficult.

I have quite small hands, so I would imagine it might be impossible for someone with large hands. The suction is weak, especially for a Dyson, and gets even weaker once the container fills up. It couldn’t suck anything out of a corner, even with the boost button.

It cannot pick up scattered kitty litter at all, just shoves it around and the smaller bits get stuck in the rollers. It does a terrible job with dog hair, and after using it twice I had to pull a ton of it out from around the wheels and other moving parts on the vacuum head.

The suction area is right in the center of the vacuum head, and it just seems like a weird design that gets clogged up easily and sacrifices any power around the edges for no discernible benefit. I think this might work well for lightly trafficked homes without pets, but if you have animals, especially anything fluffy, or kids, this is not your best Dyson option.

The concept of this is excellent, but the execution needs some tweaks.

I’m going to lay down a truth before I start- I went into this experience with pretty low expectations. We have Dyson stick vacuums at work, and I spend more time charging the dang things than I do actually vacuuming with them.

And when I do actually get to vacuum, they do a pretty sub par job. The omni glide on the other hand is possibly one of the gutsiest little machines I’ve ever used. We’re a multi cat, grubby husband, I’ll wipe those crumbs on the kitchen floor and vacuum it up later kind of household, so I tend to need to vacuum every other day, if not every day, especially in high traffic areas, and around the kitty litters (crystal litter users know what I’m talking about).

The swivel head is a bit too wibbly-wobbly for my personal cleaning style when it comes to hard floors, and it’s SUPER grippy on carpet (hence the 4 star rating) so I tend to use the mini motorised tool more, but the suction is great, and each head definitely serves a useful function.

Other than sewing thread offcuts (that the swivel head definitely did NOT like), the omni glide hasn’t met a challenge it couldn’t tackle in our house. In terms of battery life, if I used it in short, spot cleaning bursts, I’d get roughly 45 mins worth of cleaning out of it, but if I tried to do a full vacuum in one or two rooms, it’d need to go back on charge in 20ish minutes.

I don’t even know how that works, but seeing as I will be primarily using it for spot cleans, I’m fine with the you keep your secrets vibe. As an added bonus, my husband is in love with it, and is now actually volunteering to vacuum, which means no more me going into the bathroom after he’s trimmed his beard and losing a little bit of my faith in humanity because he’s left beard hair all over the sink and floor.

The omni glide isn’t going to replace the other two vacuums we currently have (robot and heavy duty), but it is going to fill a gap I never realised we had- the grab and go spot cleaning vacuum.

I truly love this machine! Our log cabin home has six different types of flooring, and in addition to bringing in dirt from gardening we have a wood stove- which causes a good bit of dust. This machine handled everything! The high torque xl cleaner head is AMAZING and I cannot tell you how incredible it is to walk around the house, unencumbered by cables, and see my floors cleaner than they have been in years.

This machine has literally cut my vacuuming time in half. The capacity of both the debris container and the battery makes it possible for me to continuously clean the entire top floor of my house without having to stop! The performance of this thing is just incredible- everything it touches gets so, so clean.

I used the hair screw attachment to vacuum the carpet where my sewing machine operates – no jammed rollers! (I used to have to get on my hands and knees with a flashlight and pick up any stray threads before I vacuumed.

) My husband’s wood carving leaves tons of little chips that end up traveling through the whole house. Due to the convenience and performance he has actually been using the Dyson himself to clean them up daily.

The lcd screen is great- clear and easy to use and understand. I love the fact that I always know how much battery life I have. Also, being able to choose the strength of the suction is a sweet feature, especially when using this to clean upholstery (which it is really great at, too).

I have also used the crevice tool to clean the dust from our log walls- which is just life changing, frankly. This is such a great machine- I can’t say enough good things about it. If you have a challenging situation when it comes to keeping your floors (and house in general) clean, I highly recommend this vacuum.

I am new to this type of vacuums. The technology seems amazing and super friendly for households since it packs a tremendous succión power with a pleasant low noise environment and easy handling. The design and functionality of all the attachments and main unit is truly revolutionary.

For all that, the high price (compared to similar equipment from other brands) is somehow tolerable. Seriously, paying over a thousand dollars for a vacuum is a decision not taken lightly. But when you see the results from that first time tests, a sense of relief comes to you.

The downside here is that you are paying a premium on the technology itself but not on the product overall. This vacuum is constructed with the cheapest possible plastic material Dyson could find out in China.

It is scary manipulating the unit with the sensation that a wrong turn or an accidental fall from the hands will break this vacuum in thousand pieces. Honestly, I do not see the usability of this product (based on the quality of the material) beyond 2-3 years if left in a high temperature garage, or exposed to the elements in your back porche or if it is not handled with extreme care, which I don’t think should be a factor when using a vacuum cleaning.

In a fair comparison with another premium product like Kirby (similar usability, functionality, and price) I prefer by far this Dyson unit, admitting, however, that it is very likely, that Dayton Outside Absolute (for awesome it is) will not last the 10 years that Kirby has given me without a single problem with the same results (although the noise, the heavy weight, the outdated look and the lack of cool technology where Dyson shines as a King).

I was leery of spending over $700 on a vacuum. I had used a corded Shark machine for years and thought it worked fine aside from lackluster performance on bare floors. The Dyson Absolute Outsize+ has made a believer of me, though.

First things first, I love not having to deal with a cord. I was worried about sacrificing performance for battery life but that turns out to be a non-issue; this machine offers better suction than any vacuum I’ve used in the past, and works exceptionally well on tile and wood floors.

Maneuverability is amazing. It cleans edges very well and easily gets under all but the lowest furniture, including beds. It’s quite lightweight in my opinion. We have a 4200 square foot house that takes a lot of vacuuming and I fine it easier with this machine than the old upright Dyson my wife used previously.

We also have a 90-lb golden retriever who sheds like mad, but this machine keeps the dog hair tumbleweeds away. Take out the long tube used for floor cleaning and attach the floor head directly to the motor assembly and it works great for vacuuming carpeted stairs.

I use the upholstery attachment for cleaning patio furniture, where a corded machine would be a pain. Some other reviewers have complained about the weight and lack of a trigger lock. Personally, I think older upright vacuums are much more backbreaking than this model, between the need to carry up and down stairs and deal with a cord that’s always in the way, and having to keep the trigger pressed saves battery in my opinion.

It’s hard to believe that some folks have issues with suction, unless the machine is clogged or they’re doing something wrong. Some have complained about too much suction on carpets, and I get that; I had the same issue until I discovered the slider on the brush head that controls suction.

It’s a simple matter to open it up for use on carpets and to switch to Econ mode on high-pile rugs. My only quibble is that the wall mounted charger seems perhaps a bit flimsy and I wonder how it will hold up over time.

Since that’s the only potential negative I can find, 5 stars is well deserved.

I have owned other leading brands in the past and let me tell you! Ever since I had purchase my 1st shark 5 years ago which it did last for that long until my tubing ripped and couldn’t find replacement parts for it.

The shark company provides wonderful products that really have a high performance. They’re efficient, lighted for better visibility, have great maneuverability when rotating. So when my husband found me this as a replacement I knew I just had to try it.

It came with 3 attachments and has a lift away function where I can leave the floor part and walk with the bucket basically and vacuum in hard to reach places and stairs. It’s not too heavy and very easy to use! I love how powerful the vacuum is.

It picks up any mess my littles leave me. I use this 3x a day and it’s not an imposition to unravel the cord plug it in an unplug and ravel the cord back up. It’s super quick and easy and honestly, I find vacuuming enjoyable and now have a machine that not only happens to be my favorite color, but my favorite brand as well! So happy to have found this! Oh and did I mention how easy it is to clean and there’s a compartment for when/if definitely when something gets Caught in the hose and clogs it, there’s a compartment you can open on the side to get it out.

How neat no more burning up motors and having to completely disassemble to resolve an issue. Shark Also has made it super easy to clean and empty. There’s a separate compartment in the bucket with a mesh bucket so that it stays in there and filters out the debris and keeps the hair and/ bigger things trapped up too.

Love love it!.

Got this today, was a breeze to assemble and get going. Picks up a lot of dirt and hair quickly, I like the no tangle bush as we have a longer hair dog, and my wife and daughter both have long hair which used to have to be cut from the beater bar of our old vac on a regular basis.

This one has 3 filters so good for allergies, and the dual brushes which did very well on carpet and hardwood, getting a lot of the dust on the wood floor the old one couldnt get. Only a few things to note, the bin is a bit small and had to be dumped a lot because of pet hair, 3 times on our main living room.

It is not the lightest vacuum but about the same as our old one. I wish it came with a cleaning brush head separate order. and had room on board for all the attachments instead of just 2. The head is low profile and fits places our old one would not, and it turns very well.

Will see how well it holds up as the Dyson 07 it is replacing lasted us for 20 years and did a good job consistently. Just didnt want to pay top dollar for a Dyson again. 3 months later and the vacuum is still doing a great job.

We have not had any problems with hair wrap on the brush bar with our golden retrievers fur. Still have to dump the bin a lot with pet fur. Still miss that there was no standard brush attachment, but came with basically two upholstery brushes one powered, one not.

About to order the standard long bristle cleaning brush so I can clean the air return and vents, be nice if the sizes were standard so I could just use the old ones from other vacuums. Another quick update, trying to find accessories like the dusting brush has been difficult.

Shark does not carry one on their website, even though the owners manual says they do, and cant or wont tell you the dimensions needed. Ordering one from Home Deliveries USA, let you know if it fits in a later update.

Well, it does vacuum well. And there is the HEPA filter. For reference, I am used to my old upright Eureka Boss Smart Vac (which lived a long life but recently died), and this Shark is harder use use in many ways.

For starters, a filter bag is so much easier to deal with than the canister, which has to be emptied after every vacuum, and doesn’t even empty completely on it’s own (i. e. you have to reach in to dislodge hair, etc).

I also failed to realize that with the swivel steering, the upright unit is just more unstable and a little harder to push overall as a result. The real kicker though is the almost complete uselessness of the attachments.

Because you have to take the upright handle off, the unit that is left is so short you then have to carry it around. In addition, the attachment tubing is so short that you have to bend over to use the attachments.

So you therefore are all bent over, trying to carry around the unit in order to use the attachments, which is very back breaking. So. It does vacuum; it does good on bare floors and area rugs of various pile depths.

If you never use attachments and don’t mind skin and nose contact with your floor detritus, then this vacuum could be fine for you.

I bought this to replace a Dyson stick vacuum so my comparison is to that. I use it mainly for wood floors throughout a kitchen, dining area, living room, entry, etc. but also for carpeted stairs and pet beds.

Things that it does better than the dyson: Way better suction and more power Obviously never runs out of battery And my personal favorite…it sucks up so much larger debris!!! My dyson struggled to get up anything bigger than a grain of rice and shot things in all directions if it was too big but this thing sucks up entire potato chips in an instant.

It has different power modes like a dyson but even on the lowest setting it seems stronger than the dyson on boost. Makes even super thick carpet look awesome (perfect for stairs) Things that might be better with a dyson: Dyson maneuvers ever so slightly better because it has the ball at the base rather than the wheels Dyson doesn’t “lock” into an upright position which I actually prefer Dyson is more stylish and space age looking It’s nice not to have a cord Overall none of the minor downsides even come close to outweighing the positives.

I so wanted to keep loving my dyson but even after trying a super expensive new model I just couldn’t love it. I wouldn’t use this to vacuum my entire house but I wasn’t using the dyson for that either.

If you’re looking for a good stick vacuum to do the high traffic hard floors, rugs, etc that are too tricky with a big upright vacuum try this. I can’t speak to how long it will last but hoping it can make it the two years my dyson lasted.

The box appeared as though it had been in a demolition derby and was left by Fedex in the vestibule of my apt. building where it could be easily taken; I was home waiting for it but the driver did not bother to buzz me.

Sadly part of my ordering from Target was thinking that it would ship via UPS. The box had no seal/tape at the openings which was surprising; I do not know if this is how the manufacturer packages their products.

It arrived in the Shark box which it did indicate in the description and I am just thankful I hustled to get the box before someone saw it and took it (because the contents are boldy marked. ) I just finished vacuuming my home and I must say that it did do a very nice job.

It is a little bit of a nuisance in terms of storage though. It will stand when you removed the handheld mechanism from the top but then the cord needs to be wound and you need to find space for all this (if you are like me you do not buy cannister vacuums because they take up more space and this seems to be a similar situation.

) No wall mount is included. I have had Sharks before and I am hopeful that this will last; just know that if you are having it delivered anyone can see (even from a distance) the picture of a vacuum and the bold writing on it and regardless of how pleasant your neighborhood might be theft is a problem everywhere these days.

I recommend this vacuum but suggest if possible that you pick it up in the store to avoid an unpleasant situation.

I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4.

No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere.

Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3. 5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it).

I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug.

4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall.

Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.

Let me start by saying this is my favorite vacuum I have used, it works on hardwood, carpet, rugs (even thick ones!), and everything else. However, using this vacuum has a few drawbacks I will address later on, but it doesn’t totally ruin the experience.

Build Quality- This is a Dyson product and like all other Dyson products – is built really well. Zero complaints on how anything feels or fits and is top-notch. Everything is made of plastic however it still feels high quality and I can’t complain about the plastic build because if they used any more premium material it would quickly get very heavy so the well-finished plastic will do.

Attachments- Let me start by saying the laser hardwood attachment will ruin how clean you thought a room was, truly terrifies me that I have that much dust that I can only see with Dyson’s green laser but I am glad it is gone! All the heads on this vacuum are powered, an electrical port travels down the long tub or connects directly should you just plug the head in straight (such as the attachment for your car, works great and leaves those amazing carpet lines in your car) and that’s amazing but it means all the attachment heads will cost more so just a heads up there when you go to buy new or other attachment heads.

I believe this is the first time they are doing the powered heads as my last Dyson (v10?) did not have power running to the attachments. Features- Outside of the laser head attachment, it has a sensor in the vacuum that displays on the small LCD screen how many and what size dust particles it picks up.

I am not sure how accurate it is but either way, it is pretty much a gimic – your house has dust and lots of it but this puts an arbitrary number to it that to me at least doesn’t really matter. The screen is awesome for displaying your power, issues with the filter, and battery life.

Really nice and high-resolution screen for what it is. Outside of those and the new attachment heads and them being powered, it is pretty much the same as every other model except a bit more powerful and a bit more efficient.

Bin- Generally about the same size, with the same issues my last one had. Certainly big enough for my house that’s around 1800sf, can do it in one to two runs which is pretty good in my opinion and certainly not a problem.

If it is, they have the oversized one that is even bigger (and surprise surprise even more $). My issues- Let’s start with my least favorite, this thing clogs often. My dogs don’t shed a lot but for some reason, this thing clogs on their hair and it is due to the design as any small piece of fuzz can clog it.

This is because where the vacuum ejects the debris into the storage container, it is a flat slightly curved surface so any fuzz that isn’t less than 2″ will hit the wall and stop effectively clogging the vacuum and then backlogging the clog into the incoming pipe which can be difficult to pick out.

My second issue is that it can be an actual pain to get the tube to detach from the vacuum and takes me several minutes sometimes to press the red detach button in a sufficient way to eject. My last Dyson had both of these issues that I was hoping to be fixed but nonetheless, here we are.

Conclusions- This is a great vacuum, and I find that my issues are either very minor or only relative to me as most people don’t try and suck up fuzz. That’s ok but my issue is that they tout how powerful this is but my old college vacuum sucked up fuzz no problem.

I think I will continue to buy Dyson vacumes but I would really like to try a shark or one of the competitors to see how it fairs as well. I rated this 4 stars but really I think it is a 3. 5. I think if you are ok not sucking up fuzz this is the best vacuum on the market and it sucks up everything else leaving the BEST carpet lines of all time which really is all that matters here anyways lol.

I purchased the V15 Detect right when it launched in March of 2021. Overall, I’ve been extremely impressed with the performance of the V15 as a primary household vacuum cleaner. The Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head is an absolute game changer when it comes to bare floor cleaning, and truly shows you how filthy your floors are, and how effective it is at cleaning them thoroughly.

It is so effective at removing fine dust off flooring surfaces that I hope Dyson eventually miniaturizes this cleaner head for use on glass tabletops and granite countertops. The “Hair Screw” tool is equally impressive for removing debris and hair off of any surface without tangling around the brush roll.

The motorized cleaner head with the “anti-tangle comb” is just as effective at removing hair from carpeted surfaces without any entanglement around the brush bar. The motorized cleaner head, coupled with the powerful suction of the V15, has proven to do an exceptional job at deep cleaning carpets in our household on a near daily basis.

Despite the wonderful performance of the V15 Detect, the primary, and significant, drawback of this machine is the propensity of hair tightly wrapping around the “shroud” within the clear bin. My wife’s long hair wraps around the shroud almost instantly, and once that happens, other debris such as cat hair and fluff builds up around the entangled hair.

Although the bin-emptying process involves a red silicon squeegee that is intended to remove all debris from the shroud, most of it is remains wrapped around the shroud. Now it has become routine maintenance to completely remove the clear bin and wipe down everything with a microfiber cloth whenever I need to empty the clear bin, which is essentially every time I vacuum the house.

Because of this issue, I can honestly see myself changing this out for a different model in the near future – perhaps an Outsize. I sincerely hope that Dyson redesigns the whole clear bin/shroud design sooner than later, because I am starting to get tired of having to thoroughly cleaning my machine every time I use it.

I had done extensive research prior to purchasing this vacuum. I had understood the physics of suction and agitation, ergonomics and weight balance, ease of use and creature comforts. I’ve gotta say this particular vacuum nails a lot of things in the head.

I had actually purchased three vacuums and tested them in my home until the return date was due. Since we were looking specifically for cordless I had the Shark Vertex Pro Duoclean, the Miele HX1 Tri-Flex and this Dyson V15 Detect.

All three of them were way above the price range that I had initially thought for a cordless vacuum. But with the addition of a new puppy, a house, two new cars, and kids in the near future, we decided the vacuum would be an investment for time savings and health.

I found this Dyson to correlate with real world testing of its suction and ease of use. This is incredibly lightweight and easy to use. I loved the tiny roller heads that can sneak there way into the furniture and underneath tables and chairs.

With than tiny head came unmatched agitation and power. This has an adjustable gate which allows you to choose between a better seal (higher suction) and more ground clearance to pick up larger items.

Although I have to say a lot of competitors did as well. The battery life with the sensor was stellar on all surfaces. And we were amazed by how well the green laser worked on our hardwood floors to visualize the hairs and dust in what we thought were clean areas.

The headlights on other vacuums are just not the same. People may say the sensor is gimmicky, but it truly benefits the user by sensing particle intake and boosting/reducing motor speed to provide a deeper clean while saving battery when not needed.

The parts themselves feel slightly plasticky, but robust enough to not worry about hitting them against furniture or stairs under normal use. Other vacuums we had looked at and tested may have felt more cheap and still were weighty.

I would highly recommend this product if the budget allows and you are looking for a vacuum that doesn’t have water filtration or a lot of maintenance.

I bought the BAUER 14 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum because of the 4. 5 stars from User Reviews. However, when I got my new vacuum home and unsealed the box, I quickly realized that someone had already used this vacuum ! There were remnants of dirt and small rocks inside the canister and dirt all over the bottom and insides of the product.

Also, the filter was missing, so i assume whomever used it before I purchased it did not use – or did not have the filter that was supposed to be inside the vacuum. I was willing to give it a try ( no more of this model was available at my local Harbor Freight outlet ) if the manager of the store would replace the missing filter.

She did give me a filter to try the vacuum out. That’s when I discovered this vacuum was the LOUDEST, most HIGH PITCH Output of any shop vac I have ever owned. It sounds like a jet engine and is intolerable to be near or around.

I am Very Disappointed in Harbor Freight for purchasing this item. I don’t understand how a brand new product ( supposedly ) could have been opened, used, and put back in the original box and sold to an unsuspecting customer ! ! ! I will be returning the Vacuum to your store tomorrow, and think hard about doing business with them again.

I picked one of these up this weekend for $76. 49 due to the Black Friday sale combined with the 15% off all Bauer products coupon. My choice to buy this vac was mainly due to the project farm youtube channel’s testing.

The Bauer came in a very close third place to the much more expensive Dewalt and Craftsman vacs. I have to say, the fit and finish seems top notch. I am VERY impressed by how much suction it has as well as how quiet it is.

My old shop vac doesn’t have 1/4 the power of this thing, and is probably at lest twice as loud. It’s so loud that I wear hearing protection if working in close quarters to it. Everything goes together well and fits snugly.

The filter appears well made, and is easy to install and remove. And the overall performance is just awesome! I haven’t had it very long so can’t speak to longevity, but so far, I’m very happy with it.

I had a nice 16 gallon Craftsman for years that worked great, but we had a 6 gallon Shop Vac, so my husband and me decided to sell the larger one (since it was much older). Big mistake, because we bought a huge house we’re reno’ing, and the smaller one just didn’t cut it.

I found a 16 gallon Shop Vac contractor grade unit on Marketplace for cheap, but I quickly killed the motor in it. Frustrated, I decided to buy a new wet-dry vac. I almost bought the Ridgid Nxt, but I’m glad I chose this one.

It has GREAT suction power, and good attachments included. I used it to pick up fine dust from sanding drywall, and leftover dust/debris from smashed tile. It was on sale for Inside Track Members when I bought it, too.

Last, I think the size is just right. Not too big, not too small. Give it a try. I think if I keep the filter clean/changed it will last for years.

I got the Crosswave Max as a splurge birthday present, but I do not like it at all. It is not convenient. Have to assemble before each use, fill with water and their solution (cannot use just water for brush head reasons), then after use have to run the brush clean function and disassemble and clean all the other parts and let them dry.

So you need a dedicated area for all this, just like a full on carpet cleaner. In all that time it takes to assemble and clean up after, I can bend over and pick up or sweep up any of my toddler’s mess AND warm up and use my steam mop.

Going back to the brush cleaning cycle, it does not do much to clean the brush. The brush remains dirty, discoloured, and unless you soak it in detergent for at least 30 minutes with a good rinse after (blue dish soap, or laundry soap, or their solution, etc), it will remain dirty and leaves a lot of streaks and milky film on the floor the next use.

I have darker floors, so it looked disgusting after the wetness dried. I would have to use my steam mop after using the crosswave and the pad would be very gross after, but atleast the floors would finally look good.

It’s also a slow machine to use. You basically wet the floor area going slowly so it’s evenly wet and then have to go over it several times to try to dry it as much as possible. You have to do this section by section.

It would take much too long to do only my kitchen, where I could sweep or vacuum and mop it in half the time. This machine is a great idea in theory, but it is not convenient or efficient and left my floors dirtier than before using it.

The company states the brushes need to be replaced after ten hours of use (I did not use it nearly that long and the brush heads were awful after a short time) and they are not cheap to replace. Also have to use their solution, again not cheap.

For such an expensive device, it requires a lot of additional costs.

Pros: 1) It can vacuum and mop simultaneously! I used to go through my entire apartment with a Quantum corded vacuum, and then go over it again with a Bissell steam mop. *Then* I would have to manually clean out the vacuum tank with bleach and machine-wash the steam mop pad.

Needless to say, it was exhausting. With the Nano, I can vacuum and press the water trigger to mop at the same time, and it instantly sucks up the dirty water. (I have both carpet and hard floor in my apartment, so I vacuum the carpet first, then vacuum and mop the hard floor to prevent the wet roller brush from touching the carpet.

) 2) It self-cleans on the dock. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the bottom of a mop pad, but it is disgusting. I used to hate taking it off my steam mop to toss it into the washing machine (and then run the washing machine again with a bleach cycle).

But with the Nano, all I have to do is pour clean water and add a cleaning pod into the clean water tank, and the self-cleaning function uses that to automatically wash and spin the dirty roller brush.

All the dirt, hair, and grime gets sucked from the roller brush into the dirty water tank. Once it’s done, I just pull out the roller brush to air-dry, and dump the dirty water tank into the toilet. 3) I literally save about 40 minutes of total cleaning time by switching from traditional vacuum.

I’m a lazy person when it comes to cleaning my home; I wish I were neater but. I’m just not. I don’t need to make excuses because we’re all busy, but this vacuum saves me time and gets the job done WAY better than what I was doing by hand with a broom, a mop, and spray with wipes.

I have two cats and two kids and the jury is out on who is messier; sure, the kids fling rice and spill all the time, but cat hair and cat puke and kitty litter is pretty serious business. I loved that this Nano vacuum speaks, to prompt me when it’s time to charge, and also when I need to clean the water tank.

I at first was a little bummed when I needed to pass over a stain more than once to remove it but then learned I could press the “max” mode and it would take care of that on first pass. Heck yeah. Have already recommended this to some other mom friends, and am excited to keep having squeaky clean floors, or I mean, as clean as they can be with cats.

and kids.

What I like: – cordless – the kids prefer this to our other vacuum since they don’t have to worry about the cord when they do different rooms – pretty light – good suction – worked really well with both carpet and tile – self-cleaning mode – my wife liked this feature since we don’t have to always have to clean the brush every time we use the unit – easy to use – for the wash feature, just add water and cleaning pod (or some other cleaning liquid) and you’re in business – inexpensive – for what this unit offers, it’s hard to beat – extras – got an extra roller, cleaning brush, filter, and cleaning pods.

Who doesn’t like that? What I wish was better: – battery life – 25 minutes is not too long especially if I’m using the wash feature but this is more my issue since I take my time. For $150-$200 less than other vacuums with slightly longer run times of about 5 more minutes, it’s a no brainer.

This Lunaglow Nano is a much better and smarter buy.

Nope won’t be winning any accolades for being the most powerful. For me personally though the unit’s versatility and convenience help balance it out so for the tasks I wish to accomplish with it should suffice perfectly fine.

Yes went through countless reviews seeing commonalities such as the elusive circuit board failure. Here’s hoping, after 7+ years since DCV581H initial release, Dewalt has addressed such issues to instill a better level of reliability.

I bought the first unit a month ago. After using that one for just one day, it started to shutoff as soon as I turn it on, then stopped turning on all together. I returned the item through Amazon and they sent me a replacement unit.

Same issue with the second unit. Very disappointing as I’ve wasted a lot of valuable time giving this vac shop a chance. I wish I read previous comments before wasting my time as it looks like this is a common issue.

Very disappointing that Delwatt still has these units out there with a major design flaw.

I really love this vacuum for its portability. It is cleaver how they designed the attachments to fit and form into the housing. The crevice tool fits into the handle and the wide nozzle extension accessory is molded into the body.

The added feature is that it has the electric (cord connected) or battery powered option. I can use the vacuum in my vehicles in battery mode truck or in my house cleaning the baseboards. Thanks DeWalt, you really hit a home run with the DEWALT 20V MAX, Wet/Dry Vacuum (DCV581H).
