20 Best Vacuum For Boat (2022 Updated)

Ok so I first used the big brother to this unit, basically the non-packout version, and fell in love at first use. It wasn’t mine to take, being low voltage guy. so I was happy to by this addition to my packout setup.

Now I’m being honest, I was literally still in the parking lot and spot when I opened it (like a kid at xmas) annnnnd the latch assembly pin falls out and the bottom catchall tray smacks on the floor of the van.

I was real close to waling it back inside. Fast forward to spending more money on the battery than the unit. this turned into almost $500 vacuum. I do use it everywhere and its killer for cars/ trucks, obviously job site (alrhough a but cumbersome if you’re doing any finish-work on a ladder and the hose length is quite limited.

I was also disappointed there were NO other accessories, like a brush attachment. c’mon guys. So I found that the small diameter stick tube extensions from Rigid vacuums worked with this diameter (mostly, you might find you need to muscle a tiny bit here and there, or just use gaffer tape.

Therefore the rigid attachments all work. Also I found a great brush attachment on amazon made from horsehair and the housing of the attachment has a lot of flex to the material – which allows for the best vacuum seal ever.

The guy is genius that made it ($9-10 and I bought 2 more!!). Milwaukee – skip the plastic latch assembly pin (hell, all moving parts on a rig like this system should really not be plastic. They sit outside in trucks and on jobsites.

We know what plastic does in the heat and the cold).

Trust Kenmore. Unlike a brand names like Samsung they aren’t overpromised or over priced cuz of the name, their home products have a reliable record. Like my old Kenmore vac is still working til this day! It’s more expensive than my old 1 for sure but I know it’ll last.

Great power for a cordless stick vacuum. My wife loves it. Has enough juice to do our living room and master bedroom on high mode. Takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge. Very light and maneuverable.

I love this vacuum cleaner. Very light, easy to use, good price and even aesthetically beautiful.

I have rode this vacuum hard and put it away wet almost every day for 3 years now. I primarily use the vacuum to clean water spills and unclog the nastiest drains around. I never use the vacuum dry or use the HEPA filter.

Only have a few things I do not like that should have been addressed by Milwaukee. 1; the expanding hose is garbage. (Not a Milwaukee problem, ALL expanding hose is garbage) I use a section of non-collapsing hose for daily use.

2; the caged ball that blocks the suction needs a screen around it to keep debris from getting sucked in and blown out the exhaust. I had to wrap the cage with window screen. 3; switch is on the wrong side.

If the tool was sold as a blower with a hose and was primarily used in that configuration the switch placement makes sense. This tool is sold as a vacuum and is primarily used as such. Either hand used to hold the vacuum and you have to use your pinky to turn on/off.

Just plan stupid.

Great to be able to use 581H vacuum on either 110VAC or 20V battery. Need to keep filter clean to maintain maximum suction. I used it first on cool ashes in fireplace, after burning a non-wood fireplace log.

Ash was consistency of drywall dust, and HEPA filter did its job of preventing blow-out through the exhaust opening. But the filter clogged quickly, and then the vacuum lost its suction. This is the exact same situation that occurs when I use my regular, full-size shop vac.

For regular vacuum clean-up jobs — not the superfine “dust” jobs — this vacuum does the job well. Noticed no difference in power between either AC or battery operation. The portability, especially when using a battery, makes this a great tool to have.

Having a new puppy one needs to be prepared for indoor accidents. We have new carpeting and needed a wet dry vac I could keep for immediate action. The lithium battery guarantees I will have reliable power.

The handle and nozzle make it a one handed operation. The second day of ownership we had our second accident. The carpet repels and beads the moisture and the Hercules sips the liquid without a trace! I picked up a spray bottle from HF and prepared a dilute pet soil carpet cleaner.

I sprayed the soil, let it soak, and vacuumed the spot. Instant rescue! Having not needing power outlet and having instant power is crucial to saving our house. There is not a better design available.

I needed something durable yet compact for cleanup after handyman jobs. Seeing top-line brands charging $100 – $160 for bare-tool cordless hose vacs drove me to try this guy. I’m pleased with how the Hercules performs.

PRO’s – sturdy, good suction, balanced grip, lets you switch from direct pickup to hose pickup instantly. Large opening lets it handle wood chips along with sawdust. Easy to empty and clear out the filter.

Ok for water spill cleanup. CON’s – larger than I needed; no attachment accessories; kinda’ heavy at 5 pounds with battery.

Bought this for work to clean up at work. used to have a dust buster type vacuum but wasn’t very effective and it didn’t hold a charge very long. Like the idea of having no hose to have to maneuver for clean ups.

Also like that it has no messy bag to deal with just a filter that needs cleaned occasionally. Already have several 20v tools so didn’t need to purchase the charger, did purchase the 2. 5ah battery as the ones I have are heavier and I wanted to keep it lite.

This vacuum is kinda expensive but its built well, rugged and very powerful for being cordless, I have been looking for one of these for years, a must have for any handyman that works out of their vehicle.

Brilliant bit of kit. Very light and really useful when working on a job indoors. More powerful than I expected it to be and very easy to keep clean with brick dust from drilling.

I was extremely disapointed on opening this product to find that it does not come with a battery or charger. The description of the product on the screwfix web says “Bare”. That word meant nothing to me and there was no clarification or explanation anywhere in the property description as to what that meant.

If and when i acquire a battery and a charger ( my local store is out of stock) i may be satisfied with the product. Whilst i await being able to use it , the vacunm cleaner sits unused, inactive and useless on a shelf.

We bought this unit to handle quick vacuuming in between regular cleaning. For this purpose, we are very happy with the unit. It is light and easy to use. The cleanup on a rug is a bit awkward but once you get the angle right, it works well.

I didn’t understand when purchasing that it does NOT come with a wall mount so I was disappointed with that (and Shark is not able to keep the wall mount in stock long enough for me to order one). It also does not come with a brush attachment which I feel you need due to the awkwardness on some surfaces.

The suction is good and emptying the canister is easy. We have an old Shark downstairs for the same purpose and that has lasted close to 20 years. If this one lasts half that long, I will be very happy.

It seems to be built well. I actually bought this with the expectation that I probably won’t like it BUT because I am buying online from Walmart, I can return it to the local store. (less hassle) That said, we are keeping it because I actually AM happy with it.

I would not use this as my regular vacuum, however. It does seem to be just right for quick pick ups.

As a big Shark/Ninja fan I was a little underwhelmed by this vacuum. It doesn’t seem very powerful. I can grab my stick vacuum, pull the vacuum motor off of it and I have something handheld with tons of suction.

Then I realized that it’s kind of a drag to do all of that to suck the toast crumbs out of my toaster oven. It’s really, really hard to wash them all out, but a small handheld vacuum works great. No way I’m going to get the big one for a job like that.

that’s where this machine fills a niche. So, I do honestly think it’s a decent handheld. It charges fairly quickly and holds a charge. The absolute best design feature though is that it’s got SHARK embossed on the transformer/adapter cord.

No getting that mixed up. That’s an amazing step forward. I’m always losing/mixing up my charging cords. I think it could be a little more powerful, but it’s also as good or better than other brands I’ve owned.

Shark UltraCyclone Pro Cordless Handheld Vacuum gives you a lot of suction power while you are doing your cleanup jobs. I have been using to vacuum my car and the job has been made easier and quicker.

Picks up everything. Lightweight and easy to hold. Comes with a crevice tool which is great to vacuum in those tight areas. The battery does not take long to charge and will give you a reasonable amount of time to vacuum before it needs to be charged again.

My favorite thing is how easy this vacuum is to clean and eject the dirt. The filter is washable, so that will save my money. I also have been using to keep my coaches clean from all the crumbs the family seem to leave.

I highly recommend to those who want a quick, easy and powerful cordless handheld vacuum to use when you have those unexpected clean ups.

Overall this is a great little wet/dry vac. Great maneuverability for tasks such as vacuuming vehicle interiors. Very convenient not having to fumble around with extension cords like we did with our Oreck compact canister vacuum.

I like how the hose and attachments fit neatly in the vacuum. The unit operates quietly. Haven’t owned long, so I can’t comment on how durable the motor is. This is marketed as a wet/dry vac, but the wet filters are not widely available.

As with their other battery powered tools, I wish there was an option to power with an ac wall outlet. Metabo HPT has an adapter that lets you plug battery tools into outlets. It would be nice if they offered more nozzle attachments.

The battery placement is not optimal. If you have large hands or are older and have a weak grip, the XC battery might be difficult to remove.

I was signed up for alerts for when this product would become available to buy in stores. I’ve had it since it first came out and while it’s not a perfect vacuum, it’s perfect for my needs. I do maintenance for an apartment community and I was tired of carting a full sized vacuum around when all I needed was to clean up a small work area inside a unit.

I already have a full set of M12 Fuel tools that I use, I kept looking at the M18 vacuum, but didn’t want to mix in one M18 battery with all my M12 ones. Then Milwaukee announced the M12 version and I couldn’t wait to try it out.

It has plenty of power for light clean up work, it handles saw dust, drywall dust, dirt, small screws, and even a small water mess (not at the same time of course, ha) without hassle, as far as suction is concerned.

But it does have the issue of overheating the battery. When the vacuum is working too long or too hard, the draw across the battery trips the overheat protection and the unit shuts itself down for a moment.

Anywhere from 30s to 1min. I’ve noticed that the problem gets worse the longer you go between cleaning the filter. I keep meaning to pick up a another filter so I can hot swap them, right now I just make sure to pull the filter and clean it every few days after frequent use.

That helps some, also keeping the tray empty helps. Too much build up inside can clog the filter area and leads to the overheating. But keeping this in mind, knowing about the overheating issue, it’s still a great little clean up vacuum.

It’s not a full sized shop vac, if I was trying to replace that for when I’m cleaning up the shop, then I would go for the M18 version. But for doing small cleanups inside apartments where I was working, even tackling some water when I had a washmachine flood, this little vaccum is worth every penny.

I purchased this product with high expectations since we have 4 dogs that occasionally have accidents or track in snow/mud/debris in addition to the 3 people that live in our house. And it does indeed perform as promised and the floors are clean.

However and it is a big however. The cordless version isn’t for anyone with large areas to clean or that wishes to knock out all of their mopping in once session. The battery has an extremely short charge life (maybe 30 minutes).

I can’t manage to get our kitchen and breakfast room completely and thoroughly mopped before the batter dies. I suppose if I only went down the middle of rooms it would last long enough but I am a thorough cleaner.

We have 5,000 s/f of tile and hardwood. Not one inch of carpet in our home so 30 minutes or less of power won’t cut it. It would take days to completely mop the home and by then the first location I mopped would be due to be mopped already.

So I am back to buy the corded version of the Crosswave today.

used it once after purchase and now i cant return it. I went off the great reviews and now im stuck with this slobbering mess. My floor looks like i was mopping with my dogs fur after he played in the mud.

The effort to clean this heavy beast is also not fun. There’s a tray that you put water in about a thousand times until your back is broken and your roll is finally a muggy clear. You might as well take the darn thing off and wash it yourself.

ughh. so gross. going back to the shark vac mop and just getting a warrenty with it. pffft.

I had a real problem with residents throwing cigarette butts into the rock beds at an apartment community. I wanted something light duty that would pick up the butts without picking up the rocks. I was awkward and would clog easily at first.

As I got used to it, I learned how to keep it going longer, still need to be dumped often. After all, it still is light duty, Because its battery operated, its perfect for walking the entire property.

Its just what I was looking for.

Well thought out hand vacuum. Great accessories. A bit clumsy to empty and could use a little more suction, but is great for small clean-ups and cleaning out the car interior – my main reason for this purchase.

A little large. But fits tool bag. Im an electrician and do service. Great for minior clean ups.

Tons of power and an excellent size of resavoir! The extendable hose makes it ideal for vacuuming a car. It is also ideal for small jobs around the house as the Dewalt battery energy gives outrageous run time.

I have bought many cordless vacs in the past only to have them eventually develop a battery memory. So if you use it for thirty second jobs, that is all the run time you get from them, grrrrr! That is precisely why I bought this vacuum, it kills those by black and decker etcetera, that hang on the wall.

Kills them in a big way, just like all Dewalt tools, super reliable, easy to use, and they runs for hours on end!.

This beats the popular built in battery, wall hanging hand vacs in two ways. 1) It has an external rechargeable and replaceable battery. 2) It works for wet and dry applications. The hose is detachable from the nozzle to fit in tight areas where the nozzle can’t fit and can accept accessory attachments.

The only problem I have with it is washing the filter. Rinsing it under a normal household faucet will not remove all the dirt from the pleats. The next time I use it I will blow it out first with my shop blower and then wash it with my light duty pressure washer or my garden hose spray nozzle.

For lack of space the cat’s litter igloo is in my office. As might be expected litter migrates all over the rug on a daily basis. I’ve found that this vacuum is the quickest and easiest way to cleanup this persistant problem.

I was a little surprised after all the other cordless power tools have now gone over to Lithium Ion batteries that this unit still uses Ni Cad technology. De Walt apparently gets around this by recommending that the battery remain in the charger when not in use.

Some inconvenience, but the upside is that the unit is more afordable this way. The filter is easy to clean with a high pressure air source, using water as the manufacturer recommends is a little too messy and time consumming for me.

Excellent power and functionality. All the tools can be carried on board, excellent suction, and a 2-speed suction capability! I gave it a full test with an 8Ah battery to see how long it would run, for a ‘real world’ test.

It went for 17 ½ minutes on HIGH speed and while the last (one) bar was flashing I turned it off. You can figure a full 18 minutes on HIGH! I use in my DIY garage/shop and in my truck, with the hose that’s plenty long enough to tackle any job.

No more dragging 20 feet of hose from my AC shop vac in the back of my shop. Now, I just take my M-18 Shop Vac to the task!.

All this shop vac is good for is picking up dust! Being a big buyer of Milwaukee tools I was excited to finally get this vac to add to the list of tools. After using it I have nothing but issues. House gets clogged, wont suck up screws, wont even pick up small pieces of copper from electrical installs.

Also the run time is very minimal even with a 9. 0 battery you get about 10 mins of vacuuming before it dies. I should have stuck with my Pack Out one. A LOT CHEAPER AND DOES A BETTER JOB.

Ive been investing in milwaukee for years due to their high quality tool. I bought this shop vac after my non milwaukee vac broke. I wanted cordless to keep a neater work environment in my garage when im doing my woodworking hobby.

i plug it straight to my miter and scroll saw as well as mu sander and it does a phenomenal job while also being a lot quiter then those rigids. I use it with the vacuum bags from wilwaukee and theyre a great fit.

The hose is really sturdy and it glides very smoothly.

The hose just disconnects itself from the vac any time you have a slight twist in it. There is a second output airflow port which has a little bit more friction but not much more to hold the hose tightly.

I got a bag also, but it’s not practical to keep it on top of the vac while working because I reach handle on top frequently. So I keep the bag on top just for storage. The bag should be Packout compatible which is not for now.

Handy shop vac. Not as powerful as corded and burns through batteries, but overall well made and useful. Milwaukee would do well to integrate a corded option or to make a corded adapter that plugs into the battery slot.

I definitely recommend using the disposable “fleece” bags with this. Install one before your first use to keep the filter pristine and suction high.
