20 Best Vacuum For Couch (2022 Updated)

I am a big fan of Shark Vacs (I have several) and was looking forward to getting this stick vac for my new kitchen hardwood floors. Fully Charged this vac ran for 12 minutes. Re-charge time 3 hours. I charged the vac out of the box and then used it to vacuum my kitchen hardwood floors, hall and bathroom floor.

I wanted something light weight and convenient for this area. Vacuumed approximately 450 square feet, a stair way, upstairs bathroom and walk areas in 2 bedrooms, which is plenty of area before the battery died.

For everyday quick pick ups in my kitchen, it will perform ok. Dust cup was full and easy to empty, but it is very small. Pros: lightweight, modern appearance, easy to maneuver, gets in many small spaces.

Gave it a 10 out of 10 for these. Cons: Cost is too much for run time. I took the cost and divided it by the run time and it calculated out to $18+ per minute of performance. Battery only lasted 12 minutes and only one was included in the box.

Should be two batteries at this price. Small dust cup – (I’m a fastidious housekeeper. If I had dogs, cats and 5 people, it wouldn’t be anywhere near enough!) In summary – I’m leaning toward keeping this vac.

It will perform in the kitchen hardwood floor area as I desired, and I’m not sure I could get it packed in the box for return anyway! I think QVC and Sharpe should give every purchaser the option to get an additional free battery.

If your thinking of purchasing, wait until they perfect this run time and dust cup size. Sharpe will likely do a version 2 of this because it has so many other good features. Worth waiting for that. Hope this helps if your thinking about this vacuum.

I love Shark products. I have been waiting for the TSV and for this vac to be back in stock. I purchased rose gold, blends well with a neutral palate. I still use my original upright Shark vacuum purchased from QVC (10 years) which is a beast at cleaning my tile, wood and carpet floors.

I use a robot vac for 1/3 of my floors that are not heavily traveled. The top of the line name brand R- robo vact does a ok job, but it takes a long time and I needed a stick/handheld vac which I could use for small jobs in the kitchen, sunroom and run it over high traffic areas daily.

It is quick and picks up well. It has a swivel head and lies down to get back and under furniture. The battery life last and I have never had trouble having is run out. This device is not a replacement for a quality upright vacuum.

Nothing is. This vac is for small jobs, daily floor maintenance and I love it. You are able to buy a replacement battery from Shark if needed and I love that too. So many stick vacs end their battery life and you cant easily replace the battery.

Not the case here, so this device will last a long time. The hand vac is handy (HaHa) for crevasse’s, corners, and I have used the pet tool on my sofa and it does a great job with dog fur. The filter needs to be changed sometimes during a job based on how much stuff it has vacuumed up.

I have not cleaned it yet, the manufacturer says to clean the filter monthly. Recommend this vacuum to help maintain clean floors especially in high traffic area and recommend it for any busy household.

Be careful on assembly!! I was eager to set mine up and mistakenly attached the wand to the bottom (wrong) position. It cannot be removed. No release button! It seems like it should have been made so it would never have fit in the wrong place at all to begin with so this could even happen.

Also if it should be placed wrong and fit in there, why is there no release button to remove it? There was no attention-getting notice mentioning this but a tiny print statement inconspicuously placed at the bottom of the instruction book page.

Now I must send it back…. my mistake…BUT an important BIG notice should be readily seen while unpacking so this unfixable mistake will not happen! This time I was willing to give a battery vacuum a try again because this vac was made to keep hair from catching on the brush roll.

Now I don’t think I’ll ever buy a battery vac until they really figure it out better and can deliver a quality product with good battery running time and strength to provide great pick up! (I noticed that battery length and strength are common complaints on this vac.

) I had bought a top brand tiny “dust buster-type” vac made by a well-known brand from QVC a couple of years back that lasted all of 10 little light uses before the battery was absolutely dead and unrevivable.

So disappointing!.

To start it’s a very quick and simple assembly. The collection cup (which is small) and vacuum unit disassemble for a handheld unit after the floor nozzle and stick are removed. It has a little filter inside the collection chamber that demanded constant emptying and it needed the dust tapped off way too often for me.

The unit makes a droning sound that changes to a higher pitch when it can no longer pick up debris. I bought it for use in a little room, but the sound was too painful to bear for long. I vacuumed a room by the hardest because much of the time was spent emptying it over a trash can.

It may be okay for vacuuming up toast crumbs or some other small amounts, but I’m disappointed overall –probably because of expectations. From the unboxing I felt like it was for use by an older child because of the diminutive size, and the limit of collection volume is depressingly small.

It can and does pick up the but of fur left when a cat departs a chair. However, this stick cannot accommodate “real world scenarios” like vacuuming a room every other day in my experience. Totally inadequate for me.

My impression is it’s some rinky dink, less than impressive unit. Still, I was glad to use it when a glass pot lid shattered on the stove.

Works great for the price. This does not have the power of a large vacuum, but its not something you can expect for how cheap it is. It works well, picks up cat hair and litter, but struggles with fibers that have been static electricitized to the floor.

You sometimes have to go over a spot a couple times for it to completely get cleaned up, but it does get the job done. It is not super loud which is nice. it is light weight and moves across the floor easily.

incredibly easy to clean and assemble. It can clean out relatively hard to reach places. It works better than I expected. If you spend more money on a different vacuum, it will outperform this one, but this one is great for a small home where you dont have much carpet or if you just dont have the money for a better one.

It still does what a vacuum does.

I got this vacuum based off of a friends house recommendation. I have a larger plug in busses that’s great I just wanted something that was easy for quick cleaning. I love it in general for my hardwood floors.

The lights make it so easy to see the the dirt and hair so you don’t miss any. Lightweight, great attachments, love the power adjustments, and easy to empty/cleanThe negatives: 1: a lot of breaks. The extension clip broke and I have a tear in the flexible hose on the vacuum base.

My friend who originally recommended it had her motor burn out. 2: It clogs CONSTANTLY. I have 3 border collies, so they have long hair and people with long haired pets might know about the hair tumbleweeds.

You will get an immediate clog. I now sweep before vacuuming to help (double the work) and that just reduces the amount of clogs, I still have to fix it about twice. I think a lot of this is because of the shape of the opening into the dirt collector canister part, it’s a sharp angle and the hair gets stuck right at the opening.

I vacuum about twice a week. If you vacuum every other day or so, this might work better for you. 3. Not great on rugs. For my area rug it’ll get some of the hair, but it doesn’t seem to penetrate much so I have to get out the big vacuum every other week to get it cleanI would recommend this if you don’t have any shaggy rugs, have short haired pets, and vacuum frequently.

Otherwise, not worth it.

I bought this one off the recommendation of GoCleanCo as well. I can appreciate the convenience of cordless and thought I would try this one. Being that it is a “pet” version I assumed it would have even better cleaning/sucking abilities.

Right out of the box you would have to go over the same area again and again to pick anything up. Once I started vacuuming any dog hair at all, I noticed the sucking was even less and was leaving behind more than it was picking up not to mention not filing the reservoir with any debris.

Realized this was because it was clogging down below at the vacuum head. Cleared that thinking it was just a one time thing. It kept happening and then I realized it was clogging in the stick part of the vacuum and I am over it.

For a brand new vacuum, this thing is useless not to mention a huge investment so my expectations were way higher. The best part of the vacuum is the lights that illuminate so you can see what a bad job it’s doing picking anything up.

If you think you’re getting a deal by buying this instead of a Dyson, you’re in for a world of frustration!!!!I bought this vacuum on cyber Monday 2020, within the first month the motor broke, it would turn on for ~15 seconds then shut itself off.

I called Bissell customer support and it was still under warranty so they sent me a whole new vacuum. The vacuum worked alright throughout 2021, I have 4 cats and 1 dog and have a Great Pyrenees that visits my house regularly.

The brush would CONSTANTLY stop working because hair got caught in the rotor of the wheel so I had to regularly take the vacuum apart to make it work again. Cut to December 2021, the vacuum seemed to not be sucking anything up so I took it all apart as usual, come to find out the hose that connected the brush head to the vacuum had torn in 3 places and was no longer functioning.

Thankfully I saved the old vacuum parts and started using the old brush head. Now, 2 months later, the long hose that connects to the motor has failed and is falling out of the motor. I’m kicking myself for not just buying the Dyson in the first place.

This vacuum has effectively completely fallen apart in approximately 1 year!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM!!!!!!!!!.

The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick vacuum has many shortcomings that prevent me from recommending it to those looking for this type of vacuum. We own another vacuum in a similar class and it is far superior to this one.

First, the vacuum does not run very long on a charge–maybe 15-20 minutes at the most. Put it on high power, and the run time is even less. Charging the battery takes a few hours, so if the job you want done is more than just a quick pickup, you might have to come back hours later to finish the job.

Next, the vacuum is somewhat awkward to maneuver. It looks like the head will rotate easily and freely with the appearance of the head and because the vacuum is so light, but when vacuuming around furniture or near corners, I found myself constantly needing to pick up the vacuum unit because the head would not maneuver the way I wanted it to.

Third, while the unit is wall-mountable, it is not easy to wall-mount in my residence. The unit needs to be wall-mounted close to an electrical outlet. So if you want the vacuum in a closet or laundry room, where outlets are non-existent or already used for other purposes, you’ll need to find another place, likely in a more visible part of the house.

In addition, the wall-mount unit is heavy, so be sure to anchor it to a stud; mounting just through the drywall with the provided mollys will probably have the wall mount pulling away from the wall after some time.

We chose to fully charge the battery and then store the vacuum in the closet without the wall-mount. The vacuum would not stand up on its own. Even when vacuuming and needing to set the vacuum upright while moving something out of the way, the vacuum will not stand up on it’s own–you have to lean it against something or in a corner.

This is the most annoying thing about this vacuum. Now let me touch on the actual function of the vacuum, which is not that great. While the unit works reasonably well on hardwood floors, tile and rugs with no or minimal pile, any carpet with more than minimal pile overwhelms this vacuum.

The brush stops spinning and all you get is suction–even on the higher power. The “lines” left on the piled carpet are not left with the forward motion of the vacuum, but rather from pulling it back towards you, meaning that you are not getting a good and powerful vacuum stroke.

Therefore, the unit does a poor job at cleaning carpet with any type of pile. If your residence has all hard surfaces and no piled carpet, it will probably be OK. I also used the vacuum on furniture and as a car vacuum with the different attachments and taking advantage of the modularity of the unit.

The unit worked adequately on fabric furniture (with several passes), but as a car vacuum, the unit was difficult to maneuver (even in its smallest configuration) and did not have enough power to clean the floor mats without several passes.

However, getting the unit configured multiple ways was quite simple, as all the push buttons were logically located and easy to actuate. The unit does not have a good battery indicator–it only has four bars on the battery.

I would prefer a percentage indicator, which is much more informational. The last shortfall of this unit is that the instruction guide is completely pictorial–no words. Some of the illustrations are not very clear, and that made learning about the unit and its features easier to accomplish by experimenting with the unit rather than looking through the guide.

As a household vacuum (with piled carpet) or a car vacuum, this unit is quite sub-par. However, as an apartment owner or a homeowner with only hard surfaces, the unit would be adequate. Storage requires some planning, as the wall mount needs to be near an outlet and the vacuum itself does not stand on its own.

Run time is more than disappointing, and the instruction manual needs work.

1. A 2nd Battery should be Included with the intial purchase. High power suction is rarely USEFUL as it drains the Battery run-time MUCH TOO FAST to clean more than A VERY SMALL surface area. 2. The floor tool LEDs, are very “bright” to our eyes but only “Dimly & barely” light up more than even a few inches of floor.

Those tool lights are placed too low, their lighting is too unfocused, and that also leaves the other tools with no lighting. Solution: 2a. Leave the LEDs ON the floor tool but also ADD a circular ring of LEDs to the main body of the vacuum.

2b. Use a lens to spot-focus ALL of the lights. Space them so the edges of each of their lighting areas slightly overlap. 2c. That would create high & low, mini-LED spotlights, with focused, overlapping lighting coverage, that is usable with every attachment & also more effective w/the floor tool.

3. Include a lights On/Off option. LEDs ARE efficient but, battery-run-time WILL be longer if the lights aren’t needed & can be turned off. 3. Can that white filter be water rinsed & air dried? If not, Then, 3a.

Publicize the cleaning steps necessary to re-clean it. 3b. Engineer a future, purchasable filter replacement that IS eithet water rinse-able & air dry-able OR, easily re-cleanable. (The following is a product Feature Request, for a future version of this vacuum.

It is NOT a Criticism. ) 4. Can future iterations/versions of this vacuum include 4a. additional internal sensors that would trigger the Wyze app to issue the following notifications via our (the customers) choice of Phone/Alexa/Google: 4b.

“Replace Vacuum Battery!” (Rechargeable Battery capacity has dropped below “XY” Percent of Original 100% recharge capacity!) 4c. “Clean or Replace the White/HEPA Vacuum Filter!” (HEPA Filtration efficiency has dropped below HEPA standards!” If cleaning the filter eliminates this warmini-spotlights reducing avoidable waste.

5. Wyze has the opportunity to not only do good but, to also do well by, 5a. reducing their replacement item cost & enhancing their top line profit, thru the savings realized from 5b. Recycling ♻️ & Recovering ♻️ the reusuable parts of the returned batteries’ chemicals via 5c.

The returned HEPA filters’ frames & paper coming back in thru the Mailers. That concludes my thoughts/review on the Wyze floor vacuum. If any other reviewers agree then PLEASE Like/Upvote/etc. this review.

This vacuum is quite impressive. The suction power surprised me. The battery has always lasted long enough for us to do our medium sized living room carpet, a fairly large kitchen with a hardwood floor, and a carpetted master bedroom, plus a quick once over on the living room furniture.

We’ve only ran the battery dead because we forgot to plug it back in after doing all of this. We have an 18 month old plus two huskies and it does very well with all the mess that comes with them. I wish the cannister was bigger.

I have to empty it after each room, mostly because of the dog hair. It’d be great to be able to do the entire area before having to empty it. The built in filter scrubber to knock fine dust particles off of it is a great feature and so is the removable roller with the gooved cut lines.

Being able to pop it out and use these lines to run a knife or scissors underneath the hair and string that gets wrapped around it makes this process so much easier. As for noise, it’s fairly quite. Even on turbo mode the noise is less than that of a traditional vacuum.

In addition to wanting a larger cannister, it would have been a great feature if the wall mount doubled as a charger. I’m surprised the ball was dropped in regards to this. I’m picturing a charging system similar to how a drill battery gets charged where the battery slides into a charging station and automatically charges.

It’d be much more convenient if I could just plug the mount in so that when I hang the vacuum on it, metal contacts on both would clip together and begin charging. It would eliminate having to plug the vacuum in and out as the mount would be powered and would stay powered.

Expanding this concept further and it would be easy to incorporate a second charging dock on the same mount for a spare battery or at least a spot for a spare to clip into for storage when not in use and also for easy access to it if an exchange is needed.

Overall, it’s a great vacuum. As is always the case, wyze has overlooked some fairly basic features that should have been obvious to the design and engineering team when making the product a reality.

I received my Wyze cordless vacuum last week and I’ll admit up front: I’m a bit of vacuum nerd. After recently upgrading our floors to wood floors, I thought this cordless stick vacuum would be a quick way to spot vacuum our behemoth Texas dust bunnies.

Initially, I’m very impressed with this vacuum. I read all the reviews ahead of time so I knew battery life was an issue and I thought, “Maybe they are exaggerating,” so I was not shocked when I saw the percentages on the battery start dropping immediately.

Our house is a little over 1500 sq feet and I was able to vacuum all surfaces on the medium setting and only dip down to around 30% battery life. I didn’t stop to smell the roses, but got after it. Aside from how lightweight the vacuum is one of the other things that I was so stoked about was that it fits quite a ways underneath furniture allowing me to vanquish those dust bunny foes without moving the dresser away from the wall.

I’ve been extra careful in emptying the chamber so as not to disturb the supposedly fickle gasket. The two attachments are great for vacuuming crumbs off of the couch. The LED lights on the front of the unit are very helpful in seeing things that need sucking in corners and crevices.

All in all, I’m quite pleased with this purchase. I’m hoping that Wyze makes additional batteries available for purchase which will really push it over the edge for me.
