20 Best Vacuum Seal Containers (2022 Updated)

Great product I think, hard to tell since I’ve only had it a week. I purchased it to keep my dachshund’s ashes in. I wanted something airtight to keep them in and that would fit inside the life-size bronze sculpture that is his final resting place.

The vacuum seal is quite good for short periods of time. Between removing beans for us every 3 days, the vacuum is depleted and the little ****** indicator has deflated. As long as you stay on top of giving the container a few twists to keep the air out, this is a pretty good option for storing beans.

Great purchase, it holds vacuum for quite a few days, which is the longest I’ve gone without making a coffee at home. I bought the 2. 7l which doesn’t quite hold a full 1kg bag but I frezze the rest and top up when needed.

Overall very happy with it.

Good size canister for storage, and simple operation, but it does seem to lose it’s vacuum after only a few hours. I do like that one can see the contents (which are still protected from UV light, I think), without having to open it up.

excellent choice for small food items. I was able to keep parsley fresh in fridge over two months. I did have to re-seal top a couple of times, but the taste and freshness remained the same as on the day of purchasing.

Also, used to keep leftover canned veggies with excellent results. highly recommend.

Pros: Vacuum works well; heavy duty glass (chose this over competitors who only offer plastic); good size/shape with straight sides (unlike the small-medium-large glass containers; makes this fridge container more efficient to pack).

I only have 1 in this size but imagine it stacks nicely in the fridge. Cons: Don’t love the lids. Bulky, too many nooks/crannies to clean, even if using the dishwasher still have to disassemble occasionally for deeper clean.

Wish lids could double as airtight fitted lids when vacuum not needed (eg. , onions, cabbage; also when taking containers on the go- instead of the elastic band like on the plastic lunch boxes. Can’t risk saucy or liquidy dishes).

Would also be nice to have a subtle line or indicator on the glass containers to show max fill capacity (as the lid gets sucked down a bit). I haven’t tried the app yet (using the QR codes on the lids) but can see how it’d be helpful to track storage dates if you have multiple containers in rotation.

The container is big enough for stews and not too tall with the cover is on so it can be stacked with other vaccuum glass containers in the fridge. The only thing that bugs me is the inside of the cover has the radiated groves that makes it hard to wash properly especially if the food stored was greasy.

Overall the container and its cover is of good quality and it seals very well. Thanks.

I know this sounds crazy, but the search for better food storage started with my daughter’s rabbit. Gregory eats a ton of greens all day long, so we found ourselves needing fresh supplies every 3 or 4 days.

Now we buy enough for a week and the greens stay fresh in this container. There is less waste. It all gets used.

Especially for all of you that like to buy some kind of beans. But i prefer the bigger one, for the next purchase mine, is a bit too small need to read more about size

The containers arrived and immediately noticed the knob on the 10 cup lid is defective. It doesn’t turn to the marinate setting. Contacted Foodsaver who expressed dismay and asked for photos of the item and the date code.

I replied with the requested photos, they responded that they are happy to inform me that my containers are under warranty. Therefore, they’re glad to offer me the replacement of my product free of charge.

I just have to confirm my mailing address so they can send me a shipping label. That was days ago. I’m still waiting on that label. If it ever arrives, I’ll return the defective 10 cup lid, then once they confirm it is defective, they’ll send a replacement.

It arrived defective. Meanwhile, I’m out $32 for a 3 cup container and a 10 cup bowl with a defective lid. 2 stars because the 3 cup container works as expected and they did respond to my email. Minus stars because they’re dragging the process of replacement.

I could have paid the same on Amazon and returned the defective item for a full refund the same day.

I have total of 6 (from boxes of 2) of the newer models and probably that many of the older models. The newer models do not hold seal. I put food in them on 7/22/2022 for example and as of August 15, 2022, the seals were not held.

I re-vacuumed them, put back in freezer. Two days ago took food out to heat and lo and behold only one of them held seal. I have checked and double checked, cleaned and double cleaned and they still don’t hold.

My food in such a short time ends of with frost solidly covering the food. Buying cheap plastic containers and putting in bags seems to be somewhat better, but as bags age, of course, the seals don’t hold.

I am so disappointed. At about $36 + tax for set of two, is it really worth it, considering I have to continually check to make sure seal holds. Thank you. I am greatly disappointed in the product. And yes, I did have it placed on seal as indicated by the almost non-visible arrow on the green dial.

3 cup and 10 cup set was just what I needed. This is good set and us it all the time. I use for marinating foods such as beef, chicken, pork, and venison. The 3 and 10 cup also comes in handy to preserve leftovers.

I even take leftovers to work and everything stays fresh. Alot of time by vacuum marinade increases flavor in meats. This makes for better dish, by keeping air away from food. I even use 3 cup and 10 cup for soups and stews, which helps bring flavors together.

When there left to marinade for couple days. After preparing food also increases flavor over time.

An amazing product no odure at all top quality product

I’m happy. I bought two of these for storing my herbals and they are solid, well constructed and work great. They aren’t cheap, but they seem to be worth the price.

Container came 2 days before expected, is very affordable, and does its job quite well

Took a while to figure out how to use these Avid Armor vacuum cannisters with my Avid Armor Model USVX vacuum machine. Perhaps other models will have better results. The vacuum port is in the back left corner inside the machine.

The inside of the machine is not deep enough to accommodate even the small cannister, so the cannisters must stand outside the machine for this. If you close the lid, you pinch the tube, so you must hold the glass lid up just enough not to pinch the tube plugged into the port, but still low enough to make the machine think the lid is closed so the process will start.

I’m not sure what the problem was, but it took several attempts with the large cannister to get even a semi-decent seal. Very frustrating. However, I also found that I get quicker and consistently better results using the jar sealing attachments from my dead, ancient Seal-A-Meal machine, still using the port in the corner, and holding the glass lid partially open.

Nice tight seal every time. Another problem I found was with the ‘knob’ inside the cannister lids being so large that I had to use the tallest cannister to be able to put a jar inside without the ‘knob’ hitting the canning lid.

With the knob design being down inside the lid rather than up on top of the lid, most of my jars are too tall to use inside the cannisters. The tall cannister was the least successful to make a proper seal.

All the cannisters are the same diameter, but much too large for me to pick up one-handed, so they always require both hands to handle them at all. In general, I found these cannisters to be a bit disappointing for these reasons, and therefore, won’t likely be using them except to store tubes and adaptors and the Seal-A-Meal attachments.

I purchased these canisters because I need to vacuum seal quart and pint jars. My first choice was actually the jar lid attachment, but they are out of stock and will be for some time; so I purchased the canisters until the lids are available.

I watched a variety of YouTube videos which demonstrate how to use them. Seemed slick enough. When I received mine my first attempts at vacuum sealing quarts jars was seamless. And then I started having trouble.

The probable issue: BALL canning jars work, KERR jars don’t. Kerr canning jars are slightly concave on the bottom, which inhibits the canister lid from properly engaging with the canister. Therefore no seal occurs.

If the canister walls were 1/8 – 1/4” taller I think it would work, though I admittedly am no mechanical engineer. Since I happen to have more KERR jars than BALL, I am limited in using these canisters.

Easy to use canister set. They are great for sealing in freshness. I also use them when resealing jars that have self-sealing lids. Great way to recycle jars you might otherwise throw away. Fill your jars and loosely place the resealable lid on it and place it in a larger vacuum canister set.

Seal the canister normally and then when you switch the lid to unseal it will seal the jar inside. Love them.

Have only used these a few times but so far I am very pleased. The sizes are great and the lids seem to work well. However, you cannot fill them too full or the vacuum will not hold. Easy to solve though.

The little pump is simple and easy to use. It can get liquid food in it if the container is too full but I had no trouble cleaning it. There is nothing to fail here unlike some storage systems which I like a lot.

Great value for the price and I would definitely buy it again.

Like the larger size for storing romaine lettuce. Other sizes are good. Wish there was more variety in those sizes. As the small ones aren’t as useful for me. But maybe will them for something to freeze.

Awesome set! Worth the price. It kept my veggies and fruit nice and fresh. Would recommend to anyone that buys tons of veggies and fruits and they go bad so quickly

I have 13 of these canisters, anywhere from 3 to 6 years old. Two the five 80oz canisters (large one) have developed structural cracks in the bottom to the point they will no longer hold vacuum. They have only been used for dry product, rice, barley, etc.

The two smaller sizes show no sign of cracking, only the largest size. FoodSaver told me i was on my own, until i got a little testy. They then agreed to send a pro-grata set. I very much like the FoodSaver system, but will no longer buy the largest canisters.

I believe the wall thickness is simply not enough for that size.

I like having the canisters. They are replacing the plastic rolls because even though you can wash, dry and reuse the rolls, eventually they end up in the trash so I decided to use canisters instead.

Just an environmental decision for me.

We’ve kept pretzels, crackers, and other snacks tasting fresh and crispy for months beyond the “best by” date. This way we can have a variety of snacks on hand without having to worry about them going bad.

Love these containers. Once the air is vacuumed out, the container remains sealed until “we” break the seal. Never had any of these containers lose the seal prematurely, and we’re talking about months before we would break the seal in many instances.

The package arrived earlier than announced. As for the quality of these dishes, I honestly haven’t seen anything better in a while. These are plastic containers (there are also glass ones) and they are of extremely high quality.

It’s not some cheap plastic, but top quality and it feels like you can drop it from a height of 2m and nothing will happen (I haven’t tried it, but I guess). As for the package, it would be good for it to be in a box that does not have the site’s inscription and brands on it, because that is why it is interesting for the customs officials to open it and charge the costs, which they might not, if it was just an ordinary box without an inscription on it.

If, for example, there was a box without the signature of the brands and the website, and in it another one with inscriptions, if it had to be.

I like the pump and container appearance, they’re really easy to use and they seem to work well to store food under vacuum. The main downside for me is that you really need the pump in order to seal the lid of the container, which makes them impractical to transport food (e.

g. for lunch or picnic). The issue is that, once you’re done eating, it’s impossible to seal the container again without the pump, so any leftover liquid or oil can spill in your transport bag. This is a disappointment because I intended to use these containers to prepare the week’s lunches and just pack them in my bag every morning.

It feels like it should be possible to seal the container without the pump, and then use the pump to create the vacuum.

I bought two Fresh & Save kits at Costco before Christmas. I loved the first set so much I thought I have to have another for our motorhome. It was such a good deal. The containers that came with the sets were glass and I wanted plastic for easier storage of leftovers, etc.

in the fridge. They work just as well as the glass and are microwaveable. I can’t say enough good stuff about this device. I love that I don’t have to have a vacuum device on the counter. This one just fits in a drawer.

We purchased the Container set with pump primarily to see if we could keep some chips fresh once the bag was opened. It worked…very well. After testing it with some other food, we have decided to ditch all our other myriad pyrex glass food containers with various plastic lids, and invest solely in Luvele storage containers.

They store well in less space, are thicker glass, have more food safe stainless steel and silicone lids, and most importantly, can be evacuated for longer food storage and less food waste (without creating more environmental plastic waste using plastic bag evacuators).

Yes, they cost more than standard storage containers, but they will pay for themselves quickly in overall reduced food cost and increased food safety. So, we started out small, and now are going all out, in investing in healthy food storage with Luvele.

I am loving my new containers & vacuum sealer. So easy to use & avo’s & cucumbers have lasted much longer in the fridge. I do have one concern though, my largest container filled with baby spinach didn’t seem to want to seal.

We noticed the suction didn’t seal the machine ‘tighter’ to the lid (as it did with the other containers) & that it was ‘on’ ******* air for a couple minutes before it stopped. I made sure the silicone valve was down when started but it didn’t ‘hiss’ any air release when trying to open lid.

I repeated sequence 3-4 times to see if I was doing something wrong as I thought there may of been a lot of air to be removed but at no stage did machine seal to lid or vacuuming decrease in time run.

This is just the right size to marinate things like tri tip or flank steak. I also have the smaller marinate container, which works great, also but is better for things like chicken breasts. This larger size works well for the steaks, since the marinade can cover both sides at once.

I usually run one marinate, turn the foods over and run another cycle. I also use a docker so the marinade can penetrate better. Even with running two cycles, I am ready to cook is a fraction of time.

This review is unsolicited. They work great, so far and haven’t shown any cracks, although I haven’t used these that much, yet. I test all of my containers as soon as I get them and they held the seal for over 48 hours, until I released them.

I also have 2 5-cup containers, which are only available at Target, as far as I know. They aren’t available on this site, as customer service told me that they have exclusive deals with different retailers.

The lids of these new containers do not have the plastic piece under the suction hole, like the older containers. I have been storing my instant coffee in one of them and the “coffee dust” gets around the hole, but the vacuum seal still holds.

Impressive. They have done everything I have expected of them, so I can recommend them, without hesitation.

I am so impressed with the Food Saver Preserve and Marinate Vacuum containers. The 3 cup and 5 cup set are perfect for veggies as well as other snacks. They are a real money saver when it comes to prolong the shelf life of dry goods.

I use these containers to preserve pasta as well as nuts. It keeps the food fresh and they are great space savers. We do make a lot of beef jerky and we store our marinades in these containers. They are very well made, easy to use and easy to clean.

Overall, this product is essential to our cooking and storage routine.

I purchased the largest container for my coffee based on the reviews on their website. I thought that someone had finally made a product that actually worked AND it didn’t require electricity to use it.

When I receive it, I followed all the instructions to vacuum my coffee beans. Within a couple of days the vacuum seal became unsealed. I cleaned around the inside of the cannister, per instructions, as well as the seal itself and tried it again.

Again the vacuum became unsealed after a couple of days. They sent me a new lid. The same thing kept happening with replacement lid. Yesterday, it became unsealed in less than 8 hours and it has already become unsealed this morning.

If I’m going to spend almost $40 on a product that doesn’t work as advertised, I consider that poor design, deceptive marketing or both. Unfortunately, in my honest effort to give this product “a chance” exceeded the 30 day window to return this product for a refund.

If you learn anything from this. NEVER trust the website reviews on the manufacturers website as it is self serving. Always use non affiliated rating websites and multiple of those to get an aggregate rating.

Almost nothing beats good due diligence when assessing the veracity of a product or service.

So, I also received one that did not work at all right out of the box – it didn’t remove any air, no matter how many times I turned it. Whole Latte Love’s customer service was good and they sent me out another one.

The second one came today. I immediately could tell a difference in how it felt when turning it as there was more resistance and a slight almost click feel to it. I turned it several times and pressed the button, and air hissed in.

So I turned it about 12-15 more times to see about getting the full seal with the green indicator. Then it suddenly started to feel different turning it – more like the first one that did nothing. I never got to it being green, and now it also removes no air.

So it lasted about 15-20 turns and stopped working. This is very disappointing quality. I was really hoping to have something better than a simple airtight container. Also, considering how shallow the lid is, I don’t really find it to be that great of an airtight container to use without a working vacuum feature (not to mention being too expensive for that).

I’m the only coffee drinker in the house, and I mostly drink espresso drinks. So I’m only using 18-36g of coffee per day, and I like to switch between decaf and standard. So my beans stick around awhile.

I have one Atmos tub for each variety, and it’s a fantastic little setup. These keep my beans fresh and look great on the counter. Only note for the manufacturer would be to make the vacuum action more satisfying somehow.

The lid is a cheap-ish feeling plastic, and the rotating action to vacuum the gasses out is very light – which is practical but it doesn’t feel as premium as the price and aesthetics would indicate. That said, I suspect this is still the best tool for the job that’s currently on sale.

Roll sets of the glass containers they work fine. I purchased three sets of the different size bags and some of them lose their seal in my freezer. I have to take them out and redo them. They should come out with bigger containers and not the itty-bitty one I’m not a fan of that.

It cost me a lot of money and I am a bit disappointed I have two of the Sealers , incase it breaks.

This actually my replacement to previous container glass, mine before was cracked on the lid inside only, not sure why it was happened. But I really love this container glass, the glass is realky strong, and the looks is really nice and elegant, I love it in my freezer, and the large container is pretty big to something to put in the freezer, and the medium is really useful.

Great storage system! It’s perfect for fruits and vegetables; they keep so much longer. I also like to make dishes ahead and freeze. The pump (sold separately) sucks all of the air out, sealing the lid tightly to the container.

Lid and container can go in the microwave when the air vent is released. Lid is very heat resistant. Very durable glass can go into the oven over 500 degrees, plus clean up is a breeze and it’s dishwasher safe.
