20 Best Vacuums For Pets (2022 Updated)

I am a vacuuming obsessed weirdo! I just love to vacuum for some reason. I love the before and after and love the feeling of having a nice clean floor. That being said I tried out all kinds of other vacuums while never really finding one that was great until I bought this vacuum.

It’s got everything I wanted in a vacuum! I should have known to stick with Shark because I have an old lift away professional that I’ve had for well over 10 years!. It’s even still going strong after all the abuse I’ve put it through but it’s just time for a new one.

Only reason I tried switching brands is because the upright sharks are quite heavy and I now have stairs in my place that are hard to clean witha a heavy uptight. After multiple failures with other popular brands I found this one that converts into a canister vac making it much lighter to use on stairs.

I’m in love with this thing. It works so well and it’s super powerful with all the bells and whistles that I could ask for. The LED lighting on the pull out wand is a huge plus! Lights up anything I’m trying to vacuum.

I vacuumed my bedroom soon as I got it right after vacuuming with a popular Eureka that I had previously bought and it was amazing what this vacuum picked up that was left behind by the Eureka. Hopefully this one lasts as long as my other Shark did!.

Easy to maneuver and it’s quieter than our old Shark vacuums. This vacuum has some serious suction! The pet hair attachment that it comes with is NOT the motorized one that we were hoping it came with.

It’s the same as the ones that come with most of the older units that operates on suction from the vacuum. This one is very loud because of the powerful suction and sounds like a jet rearing up for take off.

We bought a new motorized pet hair attachment on ebay for less than half the price that Shark wants for it on their site and it does a great job getting pet hair off furniture. Well worth the investment if you have animals that like to shed on everything.

Very good lights on the head that light up the floor in front of you, and there’s also a light on the handle to light up furniture when you use the attachments. It has kind of a small dust cup and does not have anywhere to store the pet hair attachment on the vacuum itself.

This NV752 seems to have the same flimsy dust cup hinges that always end up breaking eventually like the older units too. Overall a really nice vacuum with serious suction that is easy to maneuver. We’ll see how well it holds up over time.

If it weren’t for JB WELD, our old unit would have been retired a long time ago because it tipped over way too easily. This one doesn’t seem to have that problem but we haven’t had it very long. Time will tell.

This is a great machine with little to complain about so I tell you first that it is a little heavy and I wish the cord was about 2 feet longer. But that is it. You cannot do throw rugs. the suction is too powerful so I just shake them out.

It has a low and small profile so it fits under counters and is easy to maneuver under dining tables. I read the directions on how to assemble. it’s a snap and you are done but did not read the rest of the manual so I have been so surprised when I discover another feature.

When I am using the “stick”, I have been carrying the little vacuum motor and bin box. Then I discovered you can make the bottom part a caddy! The brush tool is great for cat fur and the light on the bottom highlights the cat litter so well that it is a breeze to clean up the litter box room.

Yesterday, I used the stick part to vacuum under the bed and when I got down, I realized there is a light on the stick so you can see! Genius! What’s not to love about this machine? The cat hair and litter are gone! Oh and the suction is very powerful.

I wanted to like this vacuum so badly but unfortunately it was just poorly designed. If you want a vacuum that has a functional detachment and can be used on carpet without pulling muscles, this is not it.

First off, It does do a great job cleaning the carpet which is probably how it garnered such good reviews. However, that positive aspect is rendered moot when you can’t even use the vacuum. For example, the auto adjustment for carpet to hard floor that it boasts, hardly works.

Since you can’t adjust the height settings on your own, it sticks way too far down on most carpet and thus is impossible to push around. It did not move with ease on any carpet and needed to be pushed with two arms just to keep it moving.

Furthermore, the hose that detaches for detail cleaning is impossible to use. It has two feet of hard plastic connected to the hose so it doesn’t bend and is rendered unusable unless you want to get corners on a 6 foot ceiling.

Sure, you can use it to vacuum little spaces, if you’re willing to stand three feet away from them and have no mobility or dexterity with the vacuum. I hate to be negative but I don’t want others to get swooned by the design or positive reviews like I did.

Ive used Dyson for the past 20 years. Theyre sturdy, reliable and will keep going for years. I was so pleased to be able to find this model as Dyson seem to be moving away from making cylinders and upright plug in vacuums.

This upright model is really powerful and is perfect for our busy house and constantly malting collie. We have carpets throughout our home which keep our draft old Victorian town house cosy and warm underfoot.

So our Dyson vacuum is in constant use. This model is light and easy to use, especially on flights of stairs. The ball makes it effortless manoeuvring around furniture. It empties easily and cleanly.

There are plenty of attachments including two spinning brush heads, one slightly smaller than the large one on the main part of the vacuum, and a small one which is great for the carpeted stairs. The attachments clip on and off easily and all but the larger brush head can be stored on vacuum ready and at hand to use while your cleaning around the house.

The only downside is the extendable hose and metal tube which are great for reaching difficult areas but are also awkward to use in others. The hose keeps tightening up (I think due to the powerful suction) so its difficult to vacuum away from the main body of the machine.

(My previous Dyson was a cylinder type so I was used to working with it differently. ) All in all, Im very pleased with my new Dyson and I know Ill get used to using an upright again. I love how powerful it is and its always pleasing to feel and see all the muck being pulled out of the carpet so easily.

This is my 5th Dyson machine so I am loyal to the brand. However, this vacuum is horrible… if you want to use it on CARPET. I have a low cut pile in all bedrooms, not a shag, just a normal carpeting.

This machine is so very hard to push, but the most frustrating thing is how the roller just stops randomly, sometimes within seconds, sometimes within minutes. To get it going again, you have to turn the machine off completely, then back on.

And then the process starts all over again. I hate this thing! I can’t speak to all the attachments because I haven’t used any of them since I am definitely sending this machine back. Good suction is terrific, but an upright vacuum should work properly on carpeting since primarily a vacuum is for carpet; this machine obviously has too much suction since it sticks to the floor, won’t move, and shuts down.

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The self-adjusting cleaner head, all floors, and whole-home advertising is deceiving. This model is a good choice ONLY if you have NO CARPETING in your home.

I should have read the bad reviews more carefully before purchasing, but I trusted Dyson, and didn’t. Evidently this is a real common problem, because I’m not the only one reporting it. Dyson evidently knows, because seems like they are sending out the same generic reply that it doesn’t work on all carpet when it’s brought up in reviews.

They know, but 1) not fixing the issue and 2) not making that point clear in their “Learn more” details. If you want to vacuum carpet, rethink purchasing this machine.

How long do you expect a vacuum cleaner that is in the $500 range to last? I expected it to last longer than 2. 5 years before it starting falling apart. The motor/suction is high quality. The supporting cast is still cheap plastic and in the past 6 months parts have been shearing off.

Firs the bit that blocks the entire tube from shooting off into the trash when emptying the canister broke, so every time we empty the debris we have to manage the canister and either be very gentle or reinstall it.

In the past month the plastic piece that supports your hand/finger by the trigger broke off. Now there is very sharp plastic edges right where your fingers rest at the trigger. Also, the trigger itself is now being finicky and sometimes the machine just stops unless you are very heavily depressing the trigger and sometimes even then it shuts off and you have to reposition.

They have I believe a 1-2 year warranty. I don’t think it is reasonable to repurchase a vacuum every 2-3 years at this cost. I would expect the entire product to be built well enough to last 5-10 years and this really isn’t close.

As a reference for use – we have a 1200 sq ft house with 2 dogs and 2 kids and use the vacuum 1-3 times a week.

I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time.

I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price.

It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction.

So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on.

Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down.

Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center.

Well the nearest in @1. 25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking.

Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I am very disappointed and very upset bc it was a great machine.

I just purchased the Dyson Ball Animal 2 and couldn’t wait to try it. The good: The suction power is GREAT. You’ll get more pet hair, dirt and dust out of your carpets and bare floors than you could ever imagine existed.

It was also fairly easy to assemble. The hose and wand connection are pretty innovative. The bad: It feels rather clunky, the stand-up feature takes a few times for it to click into position. The wand handle doesn’t seem like it’s made with a durable material, more like plastic that could break easily and somewhat awkward to click in place.

The ugly – The hose on the vacuum, designed to be used with smaller attachments is very stiff and it’s really hard to use. It takes some muscle to expand, and no sooner than you’ve pulled on it, it recoils leaving you with a very short hose, rendering it very difficult to use for cleaning crevices or other areas that would require an attachment.

It reminds me of a T-Rex with small arms that can’t do much! It seems this is a common problem, and perhaps the hose needs to be “broken in”, some reviews state that this is can be permanent in some cases and never correct itself after years of use.

This is a big fail, from a company that prides themselves in technology and innovation. For what I paid, I expected this to exceed expectations, but I’m underwhelmed and frustrated and can’t give it 5 stars.

I’m still hoping that with more use, the hose will loosen up and serve its purpose. With 30 days to return, the clock is ticking.

Ok, we got ours today, unboxing and assembly were super easy. We have a good cordless but with a border collie and two cats in the home something more powerful was needed as well. Right out of the box this vacuum made us very happy! It is much quieter than we expected, and has A TON of suction! I started out on a floor that i had gone over with the cordless earlier in the day, and the bissell was immediately grabbing hair and dirt I could not see.

as I moved around into a different room I could actually see pet hair coming across the floor towards the towards the vac head! The biggest and most pleasant surprise came when I used the pet attatchment on one of the sofas.

in the past bought “pet” vacuums, but none of the pet heads ever worked. the pet head that comes with this vacuum worked very, very well. You have to let it spin up, and then use it should go without saying that you have to use it with short pulls and thus allow it too stay spooled up, and holy cow did it ever work great! did two couches with it in a very short period of time, and I was pleasantly surprised upon inspection that not one bit of hair was would around the roller! there was a ton of that pet hair in the bin though! The bin is super easy to remove and dump, the rewind works exactly as it should, the function buttons are easy to see and use, the edge cleaning capability is better that I have ever seen before in a vac, the unit is light, easy to move around, and has a generous amount of cord.

Now to be fair, this is a day one review, but I have to say I have seen a few negative reviews, (very few) that just don’t add up based on what I’ve seen today. first off, its not a small cordless, and therefore it does not have a tiny low profile beater head.

but overall its low enough to get under most cabinet fronts, (at least at the edge) and coupled with the excellent edge suction thats pretty good. Overall this is a great buy for the price!.

I bought the rewind model 2256. I think it has pretty good suction power, the rotating brush/roller continues to spin, even if in upright position. I liked that because I could use it upright on my stairs.

It has edge bristles which helped get closer to the edge of the carpet by the baseboards. It is light and smooth with the swivel steering. My wrist was a bit sore after using due to the swivel steering.

It requires more hand work to turn direction of the vacuum. The dirt tank filled up quickly and I was impressed with how much dirt and hair it cleaned up in such a short time. The stretch hose is easy to remove and replace.

Tools- the pet turbo erasure tool was disappointing, it doesn’t spin (its has its own smaller rotating brush) once you press lightly on carpet so maybe it’s not made for carpet? It also has its own rubber belt that will need replaced just like on the main rotating floor brush with rubber belt.

The pet corner tool was not useful, only a small tunnel for air to suction, and there are thin felt like straps that don’t seem to offer any cleaning assistance. It still left pet hair in the corner of the tile and didn’t do anything for the carpet corner.

The extension wand is very short, even when you attach the crevice tool to the extension, you will still be bending over or kneeling to clean because it is too short to reach anything. I did not use the dusting brush.

The retractable cord worked for the 2-3 times I used it. The box states the cord is 27 inches long, which is not long enough for me, I must have had a longer cord on my previous vacuum. The dirt tank is easy ro remove and dump out, but once I removed it, there was a lot of dirt & dust underneath it, so it isn’t sealed very well somewhere under there.

Overall it was a decent vacuum, the tools I would likely not use much. I don’t think that this seems to be different than a basic vacuum, there is still pet hair on the tile floors. I will return this product and try something else.

Love this vacuum, for being lightweight and cordless it’s extremely powerful and last long enough to vacuum my 1400sq ft home twice, 25-30 mins. I live in a very dusty area so I have to vacuum daily and besides batteries everything works as good as the say I bought it.

I had to replace the battery a few times but if you have the know-how it takes (6x) 18650 batteries that you can swap out yourself or just buy a whole new battery bank. You can find really nice ones on eBay for $30 that actually hold more power than the stock ones.

Just make sure you ask what 18650 battery they use in it. If you don’t ask you will get some no-name random batteries, if you do ask you can get Sony, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, etc. They might charge $5-10 more but it is worth it.

If I remember correctly the original batteries were Sony. Also incase you skip reading the instructions, clean the unit court regularly, I have a friend who has broken 2 of them because he wouldn’t take a few minutes to clean it.

Do not charge it immediately after use, like all lithium batteries it needs to cool down first. Also, don’t run it in extra power mode all the time or you will shorten its life or burn the motor off, its for short boost.

We have Golden Retriever fur tumbleweeds from several dogs, and none of the many supposedly animal-friendly vacuums I purchased worked. Fur wrapped around the roller and either broke or was a time-consuming pain to remove and clean.

The last vacuum broke at the worst time, nine months ago when we moved into a new home with a temporary dirt yard. A friend told me how she loved her animal Dyson cordless stick vacuum. Oh me of little faith, I bought one anyway.

I LOVE IT! The bin is small, but emptying it is a breeze. One of our Goldens sleeps with us and heavily sheds. I use the animal attachment to vacuum the sheets before I make the bed (takes about 1 minute), and it works great.

Very little fur wraps around the roller, and what does comes off so easily. It picks up more fur from the car than the car wash people do. I am a very senior lady with spinal problems and can’t handle heavy vacuums.

This skinny lightweight Dyson enables me to vacuum the whole house without problems. In some reviews, people complain because they have to hold the lever while vacuuming or else it turns off. Silly people! I find this feature easier than continually turning it off and on, and the lever is situated on the handle that makes it easy to keep pressed.

Cordless; I no longer have to worry about tripping or dragging a cord, or changing outlets. In a nutshell, I love everything about this vacuum.

I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it’s was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure.

I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair.

I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.

) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead.

It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn’t. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me.

I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery.

So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. If you want a cordless for wood (or any non carpeted) floors, this one is definitely recommended. And it does hold up against that pet hair!.

I’ve had this vacuum for over a year now. I don’t have pets, but I have 2 children under 4 and an adult child aka my husband. This is the one vacuum I will hands down buy again. Kids drop Play-Doh all over the carpet-sucks it right up once its dried.

Kids think eating ground beef is an Olympic event and it ends up all over the floor- Check! Kids have a contest on how many pieces they can rip up a kleenex into-kleenex doesn’t stand a chance. Kids grab that cheerio box and upside down it goes- your going to want to grab that handheld cause this vacuum is going to push it around.

needs to sit a little higher off the floor. Husband forgets to take off shoes and tracks dirt everywhere- you should be good on the smaller pieces. I can vacuum the living room, playroom, kitchen, entry, bathroom, laundry room, that includes two carpets and a lot of rugs with one full charge, even after a year.

Love that it holds it’s suction until it dies. The bagless dirt bin is awesome but longer hair does get stuck in it and you have to pull it out. I’d change the seal around the top to prevent dust build up on the rims.

The brush is sooo easy to take out and clean. If your wanting to really get every piece of dust, go for your corded upright. Best part about this vacuum. my husband has actually used it without me asking!! What!! Craziness.

I am thoroughly surprised, yet thrilled, that this vacuum performs as it does, and cost so little compared to high end machines. I know it would be expecting a LOT for this vacuum to handle 3 dogs and our entire apartment.

This ONEPWR Hoover is simple, but that’s also what I really like about it. I love that it stands on its own, tucked away in my laundry closet. 1 month in now, and I am loving it! We vacuum our hardwoods and bedroom carpet, and our sofas, every day.

The battery lasts SO LONG! After vacuuming I swap out the same battery into my handheld and continue until all the hair is picked up. The suction of this vacuum is quite strong and picks everything up on the first pass.

We put the battery on the charger after doing the entire apartment, about every other day! I also have the Hoover handheld that came with my vacuum, and it removes all the hair and dirt in hard to reach spots, baseboards, and under furniture and my large appliances.

We empty the canister and shake out the filter after every cleaning so that the suction remains at its highest. I was hoping for a good vacuum when we made this purchase, but instead. we got a GREAT vacuum!! #sweepstakes.

I bought this after a lot of thought as it was quite a lot of money to spend on a vacuum. It has been a year since I bought this Dyson and I can confirm it is worth every penny. Upon arrival, the Dyson was boxed neatly and securely.

Inside the box there was the vacuum itself and all its attachments – one for every household need. It also came with its charger and wall mount for those who want to wall mount the charger. I charged the vacuum up for about 4 hours and it reached its full charge (3 blue bars).

Straight away I loved that the vacuum was extremely easy to put together and the attachments were all straightforward enough. You have 3 strength / suction settings on the Dyson (I usually stay on the middle one for my hard-wearing carpets and the low one for my linoleum floors) which you can easily increase / decrease with the sliding button.

I have bad mobility issues so I had to choose a vacuum carefully, the one thing I love about this Dyson is that it’s very lightweight and flexible. Another perk is how easy it is to empty and clean the vacuum.

The main downside for me, is that you have to keep a hold on the button for the vacuum to operate, it would be great if all you had to do was push it to turn the vacuum on then push again to turn it off.

If you have arthritic hands or a hand disability I don’t think it would be a suitable vacuum for you as it can tire the hand a little bit. The vacuum picks cat hairs up excellently, it always amazes me at how much it collects as the carpets never look that bad, but the vacuum says otherwise! For me, the battery lasts about 30-45 minutes which is perfect time.

If you need a bit more time and don’t want to wait 4 hours on the vacuum charging all you need is a second battery! If you buy a second battery then you’ll get 60-90 minutes of operating time which is sure to be enough time to vacuum your home from top to bottom.

Overall, this vacuum is excellent and really lives up to its claims and description. The quality is fabulous and it doesn’t feel cheap, it is very sturdy. It’s a great investment, especially if you have mobility issues (other than hands).

There is no way to get the thin layer of dust off hardwood floors with any of the larger tools that come with the vacuum. The pet hair tool and dust brush do get it but they are small, and the wand must be held at awkward angles to get that floor dust.

Emptying the bin is no problem, nor is cleaning it or the filters, except that the bin fills quickly and should probably be cleaned more often than I changed the bag on my last bagged upright. This means the suction for larger objects and dust bunnies was high.

I cleaned the filters well but noticed there was still dirt or dust way up in the fan-like filter that I couldn’t clean out without unscrewing the plastic housing, and that was just the 2nd time using the vacuum.

The main head doesn’t fit under the bed and certainly not the couch, and the wand is too short to reach. Would be great if there was a way to attach the main large head or foot to the wand to get under the bed and furniture, but there isn’t.

The movement of lifting the hand-held upper unit is awkward, as is de and re-attaching the wand. The swivel Adobe the is clumsy and difficult to maneuver. I could get used to the bagless feature as it is more economical, but using the machine made me realize a canister would be better for my needs.

Just purchased after reading software several reviews, have bought a lot of c***** vacuums in the past passed but also grown up with Kirby’s filter queens and other various expensive vacuums including Dyson most recently.

Believing that there is an affordable vacuum that does a great job out there, I read that this vacuum has good suction and has some nice features including pet tools and Hepa features, Which I liked as an allergy sufferer.

I have not had the vacuum along but my 1st impressions which give it 4 stars included impressive impressive, very impressive pretty impressive suction, Enough toChange the direction and fibers on an older carpet that have become relatively stiff and other vacuums I eat my old one wouldn’t even budge on moving.

So on this front I would say good job Bissell. Other features I liked included the lights which were LED and lit up everything in front of the vacuum really well the ease of detachment of the Accessories and canister which was relatively easy to empty and reinsert.

The vacuum well slightly heavy does maneuver and corner very well the design is dynas obviously modern and following Dyson standards on that front. I have no comment on reliability as the vacuum is new but it could become 5 stars or drop to 3 from where I stand currently and based on its reliability.

From my short time at the vacuum I vacuum I don’t believe the critical reviews on this site are accurate at all.

I normally don’t review products like this, but I HAD TO do this for my pet owner friends (and strangers). My husband actually chose this vacuum (I’m a sucker for the crosswave, personally), but this vacuum blew my mind! I have two large and hairy dogs (think Great Pyrenees) and one very hair bunny.

Most vacuums don’t do well with dog hair. Most vacuums cannot clean up hay from the bunny’s room (she roams freely). But this vacuum is amazing!! With one vacuum of our area rug in the living room, I was amazed.

We vacuum and use a rug doctor on the carpet regularly, but it was like a whole extra layer of dirt we didn’t see before was lifted by this vacuum. A lot of indoor rabbit owners struggle with cleaning up hay and rabbit hair, especially during molting season.

I use this vacuum every few days to clean up piles of hay and hair, and the vacuum DOES NOT get clogged! That’s amazing! It does not suck up large (6inches+) strands of hay, but it gets everything else and leaves my bunny’s room clean.

I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone with a pup, a bun, or any animal! On top of all the cleaning abilities, it comes with the best attachments, has a light for guiding, is lightweight (I’m petite and I can lift it), and is surprisingly quiet!.

This is the best thing for removing cat fur I have ever used and I have owned multiple pet specific vacuums and have used every sort of “fur removal hack” possible to try and help my problem over the last few years.

I have a healthy cat that has a super thick, plush, and bright white short coat and no matter how much I brush her, her fur still ends up everywhere. I’ve owned cats my entire life, even long haired cats, but this cat is something else.

I love her dearly but her unreal amount of fur being everywhere was a regular annoyance and I spent so much time trying to clean it because it was embarrassing and made it seem like I didn’t even try when I was doing everything I could to deal with the issue.

You couldn’t even sit on my couch without leaving with some white cat fur stuck to you and I felt so bad, I had lint rollers in every room. This thing was pulling up fur I couldn’t even see out of my furniture and carpet.

I cannot stress enough how amazing of a purchase this was and how much I love this thing. I spent so much time in the last 3 years trying to do what this thing did in like 10 minutes. If you’re questioning this purchase don’t because it’s so worth it.

There are 3 types of pet hair cleaners. Lint rollers are expensive, and not effective at lifting tightly attached pet hair follicles. Rotating brushes (whether vacuum turbine powered or motor powered) are often effective but can be difficult to use on looser cloth coverings (slip covers, towels, loose upholstery) because they are bulky and often pull in the cloth and jam.

This nozzle with projecting rubber bumps dislodges hair when lightly run over the area vertically and horizontally, and it vacuums in the loosened hair. This is quick and more easily done than with a rotating brush.

It also sucks in the small particles of dirt that a cat brings in from the outside. I recommend own both a rotating brush and this ‘pet hair eraser’, but first buy the pet hair eraser. I mainly use the eraser every day.

Long cord is great. Power is great. Small size and weight are great. It is easy to clean– brush off the accumulating hair with your finger or a brush once a week.

To clarify we only have 3 bedrooms and a landing and carpeted stairs so it’s not like I have been vacuuming the whole house for 6 months, but this is the 3rd time I’ve had to clear all the hair out of the brush.

The attachment hose no longer sucks anything with barely any suction. Checked the filters all okay. Had to manually clear a large plug of dust that formed a clog in the area at the bottom above the brush and it went way up.

Appeared cleared as far as I could go but it still isn’t sucking hardly anything up so it’s got to be clogged somewhere else in the vacuum. I’m the only one who uses it and I know I’ve not vacuumed up any objects or wet stuff.

Very disappointed. I think they need to redesign that suction entry point and maybe make it larger or out of something that’s not plastic. Almost seems the flexible plastic tube/air tunnel is overheating maybe and causing the dust and hair to ‘mat’ into the shape of it.

Gross. Going in the garbage tonight.

IšverstiShow in original languageI needed to replace my old heavy vacuum from several years ago. First I had borrowed a friend’s dyson animal vacuum just to try it, and since our carpet is a little higher pile, I was really afraid it was going to damage our carpet.

When I would slow down, it felt like I was trying to take a toy away from a dog. So I called the family owned carpet business where we had purchased all types of flooring for many years, and they suggested the Bissell.

He explained the vacuum needed to just go over the top, viabrate, and extract the dirt that way, or it could damage the threads. It needed to have a manual adjustable head to do that, since the automatic sensor ones like in other vacuums don’t work as well in doing that.

He was correct. On the Bissell, I use the knob to turn it to the height adjustment on my carpet or hard floors and it works wonderfully. The amount that was picked up in the cannister compared to my old vacuum was amazing.

It’s very easy to remove the cannister, take it to the trash can, and press the button to open the bottom to remove the dirt too. The vacuum is much lighter than the old vacuums, and stays put when putting it back up upright to store (the dyson would fall occasionally and had to redo the upright position a couple of times.

I like the way the vacuum easily swivels too. We have a house with large rooms, and it works in all of them including right next to baseboard in carpeted rooms, and in the kitchen, and right along side the cabinets.

(A little longer cord would be nice, but this one works fine. ) I also liked the attachment to clean the stairs. Since the vacuum is light, it’s easy to move up and down that area. The price was the kicker on top of it all.

So much more affordable. So. even if it does last a slightly shorter time than the other highly advertised brands, you haven’t broke the bank buying a vacuum. Great vacuum – the locally owned flooring center was right! Bissell is the brand to purchase for many reasons!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’m not easily impressed, but this vacuum impressed me. I have six cats, and I’ve been using an older model Dyson Animal vacuum, and I thought it was still doing just fine.

My wife, however, complained that the Dyson was too hard to push (she rarely vacuums) so I finally gave in and decided to buy a new vacuum. I was concerned about the low price for this one, assuming that higher prices mean better quality, but I was swayed by the good reviews.

I used the old Dyson yesterday, and today I used my new Bissell for the first time. Holy smokes, what a difference! I vacuumed the same carpet, and had to empty the canister twice because it picked up so much cat hair the Dyson had left behind.

This is a great vacuum, especially for the affordable price!.
