20 Best Vacuums For Stairs (2022 Updated)

I wanted to buy a lightweight, yet powerful, vacuum with the ability to fit into tight spaces. The Bissell Featherweight is all I wanted and then some. There are 3 parts to this vacuum. It has a long handle with a floor base to vacuum large areas.

Detach the handle and base and you have a hand vac. I use the hand vac on furniture, behind the toilet, etc. A crevice tool can be used with both for small areas like corners, keyboard, etc. The third part is using it as a vac for stairs.

I do not find this vac very effective on my stairs with carpet. A regular vacuum is best for that. But it does vacuum area rugs well. The Featherweight is very light (less than 4 pounds) and easy to carry.

It also is powerful. The vac is easy to clean. Just press to open and empty dirt. I use a toothbrush on the filter and snap back into place. The long cord easily wraps around hooks and stands upright.

I would give the Bissell Featherweight vac 5 stars. It is also a great price.

After having the vacuum around a month, cleaning is less of a chore, having to plug in the old unit (standard style vacuum) felt more difficult, and then connecting attachments via the extendable hose was never truly easy.

With this vacuum we simply grab it as required and then do a weekly all over clean. Connecting the attachments is easy and the head automatically adjusting to different surfaces is very handy, we mainly have carpets except for the kitchen and bathroom.

There is a 3 step selector to increase or decrease the standard roller head suction and 3 modes of power (eco, std, boost). Even my daughter now cleans her room with the smaller roller head as it will get around much better than the old full size vacuum.

Emptying the cleaner is easy but whatever attachment is on the unit must be removed first, my only concern is if the mechanism will become more worn due to always having to be clipped and un-clipped.

If hair gets tangled further inside the unit, that can also be opened easily, although putting it back is slightly trickier but not hard. The wall holder and charger are well designed and make regular use of the cleaner more likely, the smart charger is always on and should keep the battery at optimum.

The battery indicator automatically adjusts the remaining use time dependent on the surface being cleaned (heavy pile carpet will cause more resistance to the roller therefore using more power) Overall very happy with the Vacuum, all well made and thought out.

I would like to update my last review as I was asked to comment very shortly after We purchased the V11. We are now fully conversant with the operation and it’s displays which confused to start with.

The motorised heads are very good and the soft floor head too along with the smaller motorised head for smaller places. We found it clears up stubborn pet hairs very well. Our last vacuum cleaner was a Dyson animal corded and although it was good it only had suction but not motorised heads.

Having cleaned our carpets with the V11 we were amazed at the amount of dirt and dust that was collected. The collection bin could be bigger but it’s suffice and easy to empty. The hand tool with motorised head is very good at cleaning our dog’s hairs from the car.

The price is high compared to other products but I agree with Which? It’s the best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever owned and do like the utensil holders which is an improvement from past models. The battery time remaining is quite clear to me now as it shows when working hard the battery time is reduced.

We can clean our houses and then cars on one charge so we’re very pleased with this model.

Does an adequate job. This vacuum does not move a lot of air, but the attachment openings are small, which mostly offsets the low flow volume. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus – it just doesn’t have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials.

The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it’s not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though. The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions.

You’re not required to clean the brush after every use to released trapped hair. The Power Brush is powered by the vacuum’s internal battery, so using it will consume more battery, but I’ve yet to have an issue with the battery running out, even during extended use.

The quick release bagless design is an improvement over older models that required filter bags, though the compartment is quite small. Once again, this vaccum is not intended for large areas or large volumn jobs.

My only real complaint is the location of the power button. During normal use, that is where my index finger prefers to rest for stablization while reaching with the vacuum. I’ll turn it off 20 times during a small job.

I’m sure the power switch will wear out long before any other component, at least for me.

From the start this vacuum was a disappointment. Having a Shark upright, I thought this would be powerful. It paled in comparison to my 10 year old dyson handheld (which cost more to get a new battery than this unit).

Even after a full charge, it was okay for extremely light duty. Basically it’s only good to pickup up ground coffee and almost doesn’t do that well. The actual “breaking point” for me was the ill fitting attachments.

The most basic attachment, the “crevice” tool is too big for the weak plastic it goes into. After using that part (which is way too small a tool anyway), it cracked the plastic. The replacement part is the “dust cap” and can be purchased for $15.

95 from Shark. I bought it. and the same thing happened again. Even at the low part price, It’s almost wasn’t worth fixing this vacuum just to get it back to its disappointing performance level the first time.

Now with tax and shipping a second one would have me paying close to half the original value. Perhaps it’s time to move on.

My go-to hand vacuum from eureka(will call it the E-vac) was great but didn’t last long so I had to replace every few yrs. & now is discontinued. I got this little machine as my replacement, bc of the reviews& comparison feedback.

E-vac had suction I became accustomed to& this bissell does not come close. All reviews say that this is the next closest when comparing suction, so I can’t say this is better or worse than other products.

It’s not bad suction, but now almost 3mos in, it seems that the suction has greatly decreased even with regularlyemptying. The fans are on the side of the vac body, not back, so they blow whatever is meant to be vacuumed, before I can get to it with the suction portion of the vac.

The only way to prevent everything from being whipped up and spread around is by using the hose attachment. Even using the hose attachment, because it’s so short, any light weight mess (especially dust) still blows everywhere, including up in my allergy suffering sinuses) it also means, I have to vacuum every area at least 2 times before surfaces are clean: 1st to get 1/2 the mess, while blowing the other half all over& 2nd time after letting the blown debris settle.

I don’t think I’d recommend this vacuum EXCEPT for the fact that there may not be anything better to recommend.

I bought this hand vacuum for my very independent 88 year old mother so she could ‘tidy up her house’. She’s had other brands of hand vacs before & was very disappointed in them. She absolutely loves her Bissell CleanView! It is light enough for her to work with and the curved handle makes it easy for her to hold.

She has no difficulty changing the attachments or emptying the canister. She calls it ‘her little super sucker’! I too was very impressed with its suction & ease of use. I went online to order one for myself but they are out of stock! I hope they will be back in stock soon because I definitely want one!.

I CANNOT recommend this vacuum more! This has literally been a savior in our lives and it was so reasonably priced for a change! I’ve spent so much money on so many high end vacuums that promise to get the dog hair off of our upholstery, but nothing and I mean NOTHING works as good as this little handy vacuum! Honestly, even if you don’t have pets, this vacuum is the bomb!!! I detailed my car and used this vac on the interior and it literally got everything I needed to! It had a hard time reaching the corners in my car so I used a standard skinny long nozzle with another vac, to get into the crevices under the seats, but it got the hair and lint off of everything else! I would highly recommend this to any of my family or friends, in fact I ordered a second one for our lake house thinking about getting one for my moms house and my brother’s house.

Don’t hesitate! Order it now, before they realize what a hot item this is and raise the price lol.

All of my fur babies shed, but one should be bald based on the amount of hair he sheds. I had just purchased a new car and normally would get leather seats. BIG MISTAKE getting fabric. and black fabric no less! He had to go to the vet shortly after I got the car.

My seats ended up looking like a black & white tweed! And then I saw this little gem! I absolutely love it! I have only used it on my car seats (as I keep sheets on my furniture to protect them from the hair) and it worked wonders! The only downfall with this is that I wish it had some sort of an extension that you can fit between the seats and into smaller areas around the seats.

Otherwise, I am very happy with it and highly recommend it!.

Okay, so I didn’t read carefully and bought this thinking it was a vacuum to use ON cats/dogs. Oops! Definitely TOO loud, and totally freaked out my 15lb dog when I tried it on her. The 14lb cat witnessed the dog SHOOTING away as fast as possible, so she was wild eyed, watching.

I’m wondering IF there is a much gentler brush-vacuum for cats & dogs! But this did an AMAZING job sucking all hair off my pants that it’s likely worth keeping. Unlike another reviewer tho I found this pretty heavy while using it.

Though I just weighed it, and it’s 3. 4 lbs. That doesn’t seem bad. I’m just a weakling, I guess!.

I’ll preface this by saying this review doesn’t live in a “vacuum”, pun intended. I have had a few of these stick vacuums over the years, and they’ve mostly been the same brand, probably the most popular brand in the category.

That being said, that manufacturer should be paying attention, this LG is a more than worthy competitor, and is better in some ways that may just prove to be the tipping point for many consumers in the market for one and doing a direct comparison.

As such, most of my review points are going to be a bit of a direct comparison to the LG’s more expensive competitor. pros: – build quality – Better build quality than what I’m used to. The components feel sturdy and well made, certainly well thought out and engineered.

It’s very obvious that the team at LG saw something on the market and didn’t seek to reinvent the wheel, only to make it better. – adjustable height – How novel, a telescoping main tube that you can slide back and forth, depending on your height and comfort level? – “kompressor”/filter clear switch – This is a really cool feature.

Use this external switch to push an internal ring down inside the filter, sort of tamping down the contents. Helps to clear the suction area and to create create more capacity. Akin to pushing down the trash when it gets full so you can fit more in, only significantly less gross since here your hands don’t get dirty.

– floor stand – Also a nice touch, the included floor stand let’s you have a bit more freedom over where the vacuum is stored, though it is still attached via power cable. Nice to not have to drill into the wall unless you actually want to though.

– button operation (instead of trigger) – Not the biggest of “pros” of course, but operating via button (including multiple levels of suction per press) instead of a trigger. – 2 batteries included, removable – Another win for this model in my opinion is the inclusion of 2 *removable* batteries, and the ability to charge both at the same time – one in the vacuum itself and the other cleverly tucked away in the stand.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 hours on the lowest setting and 15 minutes on the highest, it’s very easy to switch to the other battery to keep things moving (and continue to charge the other battery without missing a beat!) – suction – All other technology aside, it actually does a fairly good job of cleaning both carpets and hard floors.

It is, however, still a stick vacuum, and while good for day to day cleaning, probably not the deepest clean you’ll get. Larger pieces of mess (we have birds at home that make massive messes with seemingly entire giant pieces of nut/seed/what have you) aren’t always picked up on the first pass.

cons: – no smaller hand held roller at this price point – While it is cheaper than some other manufacturers, I still would’ve like to have had the smaller roller brush, for pet hair on couches and similar messes.

misc: – wifi/app connection – I’m not sure how useful this will be, but there is the ability to connect via WIFI and get the “status” as well as cleaning log. Probably not something I’ll use a ton. overall: There are quite a few options out there in this category, but this is definitely one of the stronger ones.

Easy 5 stars for me.

I had the older version of this same model and really liked it. This one is even better as the battery runtime has been improved to 60 minutes from 40. There’s still enough suction at regular power that I hardly need to engage the power or turbo mode for any reason.

With the included extra battery I can do the entire house while another battery charges in the docking station. Another difference is the old model included a hard floor and a carpet attachment. This one just has one universal attachment to do both.

I think this approach is much better. I’ve had no issues using this all-in-one attachment to clean both my tile and carpet. It also includes a combination tool that can be used to clean your car or if you use it on the end of the telescoping wand I’m able to get random spiderwebs out of the corners of my 10 foot ceilings.

The Power Punch tool has a vibrating feature that allows it to aggravate the dust and debris and remove it from upholstery. There is a 5-step filtration system so there are several filters: a prefilter, 2 “cyclonic”, metal, and fine dust, all of which are both easy to remove and washable.

My old model also did not feature the “Kompressor” technology which compacts the dirt and hair so that it both stores more and is easier to dispose of. It provides a Kompressor Lever that you can utilize while vacuuming to force the dirt into the bottom of the dustcup.

I find this to be a valuable new feature because I constantly had to use my finger or remove the filter to get all of the dirt out of the old one. Pros: High Performance Not that noisy Includes 2 batteries Washable filters 1 large attachment for all floors Multiple smaller attachments Kompressor technology Wifi enabled Docking station can be placed on floor or wall mountable 10 year motor warranty (1 year general) Cons: None! Overall, this is an excellent cordless stick vacuum and I have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.

The increased runtime and extra battery give you two hours which should be enough to cover an average or even large home.

We’ve been through four different vacuums in the last year for the new, longer/thicker carpeting we had installed and have struggled: A Dirt Devil. SO LOUD we returned it. A Shark that one could not push through the room no matter what and boy was that a LOUD machine, though highly rated.

A cordless, expensive Bissell, that was light and easy, but did not deep clean carpeting. Now we use that just on the hardwood floor. Finally we bought this because my inlaws have an old Oreck. This Oreck is clearly louder than theirs, has only one speed, works well enough, but still a bit hard to push through the thick carpet.

Has a good light on it. We’re satisfied enough to keep it.

Sigh. This is the third review that I have written to pan my current Oreck vacuum purchase. Apparently there was TMI in my previous posts. So, Oreck, in their intrepid task to be as transparent but protective of my PI as humanly possible, has not published those reviews and requested I revise.

Here you go: this vacuum is heavier than any of the other Orecks I have owned in recent years. It is not as efficient as other Orecks I have owned. It requires ALL NEW vacuum cleaner bags that will not fit my older Orecks.

Planned obsolescence? (Look it up). Perhaps. But, to reiterate: it’s not the solution to climate change, it’s just a vacuum cleaner.

My toddler makes crumby messes, one day I gave in and bought this Shark, I am so glad I did. Easy to just grab, clean, and store. Compact, has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Slight CONS — charge doesn’t last super long, but if you intend to vacuum a whole house, better pull out your full-sized corded machine.

This Shark is for quick grab and clean, daily use. The top is heavy of course, as it should be because of the smaller handheld attachments, but if you vacuum for more than 10 minutes it can get a little annoying on your arm.

The suction kind of pulls the machine forward a bit but that’s not a deal breaker. I like the turbo function to really grab stubborn pieces. Make sure you empty either every use or every other use. It’s easy to do so so not a problem.

I bought this on a black Friday deal and was very excited to have a cordless vacuum. I have a big yellow lab and hardwood floors that I vacuum every day. Right away I was disappointed to find out that it does not have a headlight like my regular Shark.

It does not stand up on its own so has to be taken apart or leaned on something for storage. Why doesn’t it have a docking station or hanger like other models? It was very quiet and did not feel very powerful.

When emptying the canister I had to manually pull out the dog hair every time I used it because of a little plastic lip on the lid. Right away dog hair bound up in the little wheels on each side of the head and had to be picked out or it would just push around the dog hair when vacuuming.

I found myself just wanting to use my regular shark duo clean so I returned the stick vac to the store and got my money back.

Have this vacuum for about 2 months. It does the job and does it well. If you are small sized woman like me, who is tired of dealing with bulky heavy wired vacuums, this thing will definitely make your cleaning routine faster and much easier.

Overall I am very satisfied with this vacuum. Here are some more details: PROS: – No wires. You don’t have to constantly unplug and plug it back in – Relatively light, much lighter than my big wired vacuum – Makes it so easy to just pick it up and vacuum any time you feel like you need to do that – Perfect for small spaces like apartments – Battery charge is enough for vacuuming my entire apt.

Haven’t ran out of battery during vacuuming so far. I normally vacuum for about 20 mins non-stop on both modes: bare floor and carpet. There is a turbo mode too, but it feels like regular carpet mode does good enough job – Charge time isn’t bad.

I usually charge it for a couple hours before vacuuming, sometimes less. Seems to be enough CONS – Probably not the best choice for a big house, unless you are doing a few step vacuuming (I am pretty sure the battery will die after first 30 mins).

But it’s only my guessing, may be it will work for you 🙂 – I have to clean the brush after each vacuuming. I have very long hair and the ones it picks up from the floor ends up on that brush. It’s not hard to clean it though – Some of the connections could be more sturdy.

The way it’s parts are connected makes me feel like if I push too hard or bump it into something, it will break lol – Not a very big dust holder. I don’t have any problems with it, but if you have pets you might have to empty it a couple of times during vacuuming.

I bought this hoover after reading all the reviews and I can honestly say I made the best decision to buy it. It is so easy to use and has great suction. I love it being cordless as it has enough charge to do my stairs, hall and 2 bedrooms on one charge.

It glides easily and the separation of the top part to do the stairs is easy to do and makes stair hoovering more enjoyable. All the tools it comes with are great for doing ceiling/corner cobwebs, couch, fabrics and car with bonus of no plug needed as no cable.

Easy to empty and handy with the wall mount as keeps it all tidy but accessible to use daily. Positive comment – my son actually hoovers his room now as he likes the ease of hoover. It has great suction, easy to use, I can hoover anything with attachments and does a lot on one charge.

Good storage for hoover and all tools. Just a few negatives but only for certain people: when separating top to hoover stairs it is slightly heavy to hold and if like me your wrists are not strong it can be a little uncomfortable so I take breaks and put it down.

Also as you have to keep the button held down again if you do not have strength can be tiring on hands holding one position for a while and again I rest and stretch my hands/wrists out every so often.

The motorised heads don’t have anti wrap hair technology so you need to keep on top of removing hairs unfortunately. Having said all that would definitely recommend this hoover and as my first stick cordless hoover I have purchased thought it was worth money and love it.

This thing clogs after cleaning a 6×8 carpet in a home with 1 small short-hair cat. The dust flies everywhere when I open the hatch and there is invariably dust stuck up around the top of the canister that I have to pull out by hand.

Or I can release the whole canister, which is already dusty from opening the hatch. You can’t just take off the canister, which would probably be less messy, you have to open the hatch at the bottom first which makes the handle and everything you touch dusty.

Gross gross gross. The charge lasts for 2 rooms (13×15) max, but I have to stop multiple times to empty the nasty canister. I feel like I need a shower after I vacuum. The furniture attachment stopped working after a year, but we were able to take it apart, fiddle around and get it working again.

There’s no way to just turn the vacuum to on, you need to hold the button the whole time, which is a bit tiring. But mostly, I hate this vaccum because it’s dirty, inconvenient and the suction isn’t as good as my corded Kemore.

Why or why did I give it away? It had such better suction, lasted indefinitely and wasn’t dirty. It was just bigger, which since my apartment is small was unideal. But unideal is 1000x better than horrible.

I loathe this vacuum. It makes me angry every time I use it.

I’ve had this product for about 2 months now, and I’m delighted I bought it. It is 100% worth the money. I live in an apartment with 3 flights of carpeted stairs up to the main area and 2 carpeted bedrooms, plus I have 3 cats who spend most of their time grooming themselves on those stairs, so this vacuum was facing a big task.

It has handled it perfectly, the motorised head picks up any cat hair and fluff ingrained into the carpet with ease. The max suction is great for stuff that’s really worked it’s way in and I found myself using that setting a lot for the first few days when I was getting at things my old vacuum couldn’t, but I generally use the normal setting now and it’s more than enough.

All of the attachments, filters etc are really easy to remove and clean. The vacuum charges faster than I expected, and the battery life is good. Its perfect for cleaning the car too, the crevice tool is great for getting in to the sides of your seats etc.

The only thing I can think dyson could improve would be offering a back up battery that can be charged separately and switched out in newer models (if they haven’t already), as I do have to do my stairs and the rest of the house in two separate charges, but I do think most standard 2 story houses would get a good daily clean from one charge.

All in all I’d definitely recommend this vacuum, especially if you have pets. It’s so worth the money!!.

Recently purchased the A10 Hero Cordless Stick Vacuum for the upstairs of the house. We have two cats that shed hair here and there so we decided an extra stick vacuum on the upper floor would be so convenient.

We already own a Tineco A10 Dash vacuum and use it for our kitchen and main floor hallways and very pleased with it so it was not difficult to decide upon getting another Tineco product. Our new A10 Hero works great on our hardwood floors and comes with numerous useful attachments.

My favourite is the mini power brush attachment as it really comes in handy to convert to a handheld vacuum to clean the chair pads and the tops of the beds after our cats finish their naps. This vacuum is lightweight, has a fixed on trigger option and being cordless it really is perfect for us seniors.

So glad we bought another one.

Just got my vacuum. Did a quick zip around on my hard floors to see how much I could get done on before the battery died. Finished my main area floors, two bathrooms, stairs, entry, master bedroom. Went back and did area rugs and couch and dining chairs.

Filled up the dust collection chamber and still wasn’t dead. Very lightweight so easy to use while carrying my young baby. The LED light seemed like it would be unnecessary but actually helps a lot to spot dust bunnies and debris.

Very quiet when used in regular mode. I almost didn’t think it was working bc it was so quiet. Perfect for when I want to do a daily quick clean and not pull out my giant, heavy dyson that I can’t carry up and down the stairs.

Best Vacuum on the market. If I could give over five stars than I would. I have a cleaning business and have owned just about every vacuum there is. Nothing works as well as the Tineco or even comes close.

I have owned it for a year and it works like new. It’s super light weight and holds a charge for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes. The suction cannot be beat by any other vacuum. It has a low, medium and high setting.

Plenty of excellent attachments come with it. The filters are extremely easy to clean. I love everything about this vacuum and will never consider any other vacuum. Wish I would have found this twenty years ago.

I truly love this machine! Our log cabin home has six different types of flooring, and in addition to bringing in dirt from gardening we have a wood stove- which causes a good bit of dust. This machine handled everything! The high torque xl cleaner head is AMAZING and I cannot tell you how incredible it is to walk around the house, unencumbered by cables, and see my floors cleaner than they have been in years.

This machine has literally cut my vacuuming time in half. The capacity of both the debris container and the battery makes it possible for me to continuously clean the entire top floor of my house without having to stop! The performance of this thing is just incredible- everything it touches gets so, so clean.

I used the hair screw attachment to vacuum the carpet where my sewing machine operates – no jammed rollers! (I used to have to get on my hands and knees with a flashlight and pick up any stray threads before I vacuumed.

) My husband’s wood carving leaves tons of little chips that end up traveling through the whole house. Due to the convenience and performance he has actually been using the Dyson himself to clean them up daily.

The lcd screen is great- clear and easy to use and understand. I love the fact that I always know how much battery life I have. Also, being able to choose the strength of the suction is a sweet feature, especially when using this to clean upholstery (which it is really great at, too).

I have also used the crevice tool to clean the dust from our log walls- which is just life changing, frankly. This is such a great machine- I can’t say enough good things about it. If you have a challenging situation when it comes to keeping your floors (and house in general) clean, I highly recommend this vacuum.

I am new to this type of vacuums. The technology seems amazing and super friendly for households since it packs a tremendous succión power with a pleasant low noise environment and easy handling. The design and functionality of all the attachments and main unit is truly revolutionary.

For all that, the high price (compared to similar equipment from other brands) is somehow tolerable. Seriously, paying over a thousand dollars for a vacuum is a decision not taken lightly. But when you see the results from that first time tests, a sense of relief comes to you.

The downside here is that you are paying a premium on the technology itself but not on the product overall. This vacuum is constructed with the cheapest possible plastic material Dyson could find out in China.

It is scary manipulating the unit with the sensation that a wrong turn or an accidental fall from the hands will break this vacuum in thousand pieces. Honestly, I do not see the usability of this product (based on the quality of the material) beyond 2-3 years if left in a high temperature garage, or exposed to the elements in your back porche or if it is not handled with extreme care, which I don’t think should be a factor when using a vacuum cleaning.

In a fair comparison with another premium product like Kirby (similar usability, functionality, and price) I prefer by far this Dyson unit, admitting, however, that it is very likely, that Dayton Outside Absolute (for awesome it is) will not last the 10 years that Kirby has given me without a single problem with the same results (although the noise, the heavy weight, the outdated look and the lack of cool technology where Dyson shines as a King).

I was leery of spending over $700 on a vacuum. I had used a corded Shark machine for years and thought it worked fine aside from lackluster performance on bare floors. The Dyson Absolute Outsize+ has made a believer of me, though.

First things first, I love not having to deal with a cord. I was worried about sacrificing performance for battery life but that turns out to be a non-issue; this machine offers better suction than any vacuum I’ve used in the past, and works exceptionally well on tile and wood floors.

Maneuverability is amazing. It cleans edges very well and easily gets under all but the lowest furniture, including beds. It’s quite lightweight in my opinion. We have a 4200 square foot house that takes a lot of vacuuming and I fine it easier with this machine than the old upright Dyson my wife used previously.

We also have a 90-lb golden retriever who sheds like mad, but this machine keeps the dog hair tumbleweeds away. Take out the long tube used for floor cleaning and attach the floor head directly to the motor assembly and it works great for vacuuming carpeted stairs.

I use the upholstery attachment for cleaning patio furniture, where a corded machine would be a pain. Some other reviewers have complained about the weight and lack of a trigger lock. Personally, I think older upright vacuums are much more backbreaking than this model, between the need to carry up and down stairs and deal with a cord that’s always in the way, and having to keep the trigger pressed saves battery in my opinion.

It’s hard to believe that some folks have issues with suction, unless the machine is clogged or they’re doing something wrong. Some have complained about too much suction on carpets, and I get that; I had the same issue until I discovered the slider on the brush head that controls suction.

It’s a simple matter to open it up for use on carpets and to switch to Econ mode on high-pile rugs. My only quibble is that the wall mounted charger seems perhaps a bit flimsy and I wonder how it will hold up over time.

Since that’s the only potential negative I can find, 5 stars is well deserved.

This vacuum has several thing I like: color, locked in pieces, works for multiple floors and cleaning areas. The locking pieces are important to me. There is nothing I hate more than using an attachment and the hose comes out.

This vacuum makes sure every piece locks. The vacuum is powerful and cleans every area (vinyl floors, carpet, ceiling fan, corners, etc…). We have pets and live in the Midwest so dust and dirt are frequent issues.

This vacuum vacuums up the dog hair and dust without blowing it every where. While you think that wouldn’t be an issue with vacuum cleaners it is. This one vacuums up the finest of dirt. That is important.

It has a long cord and accessories that allows me to get every corner of my house. The con I have is it is a little heavy if lifting up for a long time. While it is lighter than most, I definitely need something to hold it when I clean my popcorn ceiling and fans.

This is our second Shark vacuum. We loved our first, but I was having to give it a “hair cut” often. With 3 girls with long, thick hair in one household equals a lot of hair getting vacuumed and wrapped around the brush.

This new Shark vacuum has a different brush that is more of rubber paddles that really don’t get all wrapped up. Unboxing and assembly was very easy and straight forward. The directions were clear and it went together in just a minute.

I love that you can take the tank portion off and just walk around with that and use the hose. So nice to get into hard to reach places. The different suction options are also very handy for different flooring-hardwood, short pile carpet, long pile carped, etc.

We have 3 floors of different styles of flooring, and this has been a very convenient tool.
