20 Best Vacuums Under $50 (2022 Updated)

Thanks to the Black and Decker Product Testing Program, I received this Black and Decker Dustbuster, complimentary, in exchange for my honest review. The following opinions are 100% authentic and my own.

I was super excited to be chosen to try out my first Black and Decker product. When my Dustbuster arrived, it was a bit smaller than I had imagined, which wasn’t necessarily a bad or good thing, I just noted it.

The suction seemed strong at first, when powered on, just the warm air it was blowing out seemed incredibly powerful for such a small handheld vacuum. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ends.

The suction is seemingly strange and I completely understand this isn’t a big and mighty vacuum, but when I say it’s strange it’s almost as if the actual suction only exists in a certain portion or area of the mouth of the vacuum, as opposed to suction coming from the entire mouth.

If I have a crumb, and I want it cleaned up, I must pinpoint this certain area over the crumb, as opposed to simply running the entire mouth over the general area of the crumb. It’s tiresome and a bit annoying that I can’t just simply swipe the vacuum over the area like most would generally do when vacuuming.

It requires more effort than it should. I usually love Black and Decker products but this one was a let down, unfortunately, still super grateful I received this little guy.

This Black + Decker unit has helped significantly in daily clean up. It has changed my perspective on what a vacuum can achieve. From small pieces of cereal to micro pieces of dust, the Black + Decker Cordless Lithium handheld vacuum is your perfect helper around the house.

Great for cleanup in any room of the house even stairs, around the fireplace, or out in the car. It is pretty lightweight and has a push-hold button to operate. It is not my favorite feature, to hold down the button to operate but It helps preserve energy when you not in use for the charge to last longer.

About the charge on this unit. I find it takes a while (several hours) to charge in order to get a full battery. The vacuum would definitely finish a project but across several cleanup activities, it may not last the day (in my case did not last the day but I am super active).

Utilizing the wall mount is most helpful so you can continuously charge the unit when not in use for best performance. For it’s suction, the vacuum is an absolute beast! Truly has a great suction. The adaptor piece with brush is great for carpeted areas.

Cleaning the unit is so easy and quick! Simple button to open unit and remove filter, rinse, dry, and click back together! In the end of things, the battery could last longer, and the unit could benefit from a wrist sling or something to eliminate arm and hand fatigue.

I’d take a break often because holding down the button and holding the unit with one hand at the same time can get tiring pretty quickly. I am also not exactly the strong type haha. Overall super impressed with the vacuum.

It definitely has a one up on any unit I’ve previously used as it is still lighter then previous, the suction is incredible for its type and it’s so easy to clean! My favorite helper in house cleaning.

I highly recommend this product. It has really made my life a lot easier since we spend so much time at home!.

The entry level dustbuster has a grey push button that must be CONSTANTLY held to work. It does not stay on unless you keep your thumb pressed on it. Very difficult if you have small hands or hand disabilities (such as carpal tunnel or anything else that makes ongoing thumb pressure hard).

The suction is good. However, in order to use this thing you must hold the on button or tape it down. HORRIBLE design that renders it almost non-functional. Bought it at Target yesterday. Regretting my choice.

So I actually like how this performs a lot, it works really well and has great suction, a big improvement over my last one. The problem is, there is no indicator to show you how much battery life you have left, and no light to indicate that’s it’s either charging or done charging.

I have an older home with some dodgy outlets where you have plug things in a certain way to make sure they’re working. Well there is no way to tell whether this is charging at all, or when it’s done charging.

And as I mentioned, no way to know that it’s running out of battery life until it suddenly starts running slower and then shuts off. It’s a major design flaw in my opinion, very annoying and frustrating, and I would not buy it again for that reason.

If it had an indicator light of any kind, it might be my favorite handvac. But as it is, I can’t recommend it – unless you don’t care about things like that.

I bought this small vacuum cleaner ever two years ago. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She has three children and a husband to clean up after. She loved the one I bought two years ago, so I bought it for her this Christmas.

I have never had any problems with this machine. I bought an extra machine for me. This product is the best. D. A.

I hade another dustbuster that didnt have enough suction so researched and reviewed many to buy another. Black and Decker used to be known as good quality products. I decided to buy this as it was a little higher in the price but was supposed to have good above average power.

This is product useless. It has so little suction, I cant even use it in the car or at home. It is easier for me to get the full size vacuum out from under the bed, put all 3 parts together and set it up rather than using this product – which was the reason for buying it and the hassle it was supposed to avoid.

Black and Decker arent the products they used to be at all.

According to the marketing materials and the product manual the filters are washable. The joke is that you can’t separate the outside pre-filter from the inside filter as shown in the product manual or the marketing material.

The outer filter is supposed to twist on and off (contrary to the manual, page 10, that shows it coming straight off) but it was so tight that I indented and almost broke out the fine mesh of the outer screen in the process.

The reassembly process and the small icon on the filter show it twisting on and off. Even so, I had to use a pocket knife to get it loose enough to remove. I have no idea how a person with weak hands could accomplish this.

Just another case of a techy designer using a CAD system and never testing it outside of the computer geek world, shoving it into production and screwing the consumer in the process. I won’t buy another one.

Within 1 minute of its’ first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its’ brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its’ centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris.

This results in it being the furthest thing from the “tangle free” unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached).

The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its’ brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller.

Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its’ heavily marked “pet hair eraser” attachments.

The Pet Turbo Eraser” is nothing more than the same “turbo brush” or “handi-mate” that has been commonplace on vacuum’s since the 1950’s. The “two in one” pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool.

There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I’ve had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper “Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum.

” It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don’t buy this.

I LOVE this vacuum. I’ve had it for about 5 years now, I use about 2 times a week. I love all the accessories that came with it. Especially the pet hair attachment. It can’t hold all the accessories that came with it.

I just use a container in the closet to hold the extras I don’t use very often. Everyone in my family including my dog has short hair but I do not. It is my hair that tangles most vacuums. I never had a problem with hair tangles on the brush.

Even if I did, there is plenty of space to get a seam ripper or scissors in and cut the hair away with no issue. I did notice when vacuuming hard surface floors there was a bit of blow back, but it wasn’t much; certainly not a deal breaker unless you are only cleaning hard surfaces.

The belt being 1/3 of the way onto the head, leaves a strip of un-vacuumed floor. However if using a tight V pattern this would not be a problem. I maintain it about ever 2 months. Wash the canister, the filters, the hose, clean the head, there usual spots that get dirty.

It’s easy to maintain, probably why the work horse is still going. I’ve only recently noticed the motor sounding odd. My repair guy says it’s still alive and kicking but to repair it will cost more than a new vacuum.

We have a Samoyed dog, and anyone who knows and loves this breed, knows they have a double coat of fur and when they blow their coat the beautiful white fur is everywhere. My husband (God love him!) helps me out by vacuuming our entire house every day.

Yes, this is absolutely true. I am married to a saint! We have gone through so many vacuum cleaners throughout our married life, that we could start a vacuum cleaner museum. None of them really did a fabulous job, and every day my husband would say this vacuum cleaner is horrible.

While we did read several other reviews that this vacuum was good for picking up pet fur, we still had our doubts. really? all this fur? a Samoyed’s fur? Well when we tell you this vacuum does a fantastic job, we are not spouting hyperbole! The amount of fur and dirt it picks up is unbelievable.

And the ease of getting rid of it all simply by releasing the lever and dropping it into the waste basket is a fabulous feature. My husband is extremely pleased and happy and so am I! Thank you Bissell!!.

I couldn’t despise a vacuum more than I despise this one. We have had three Shark vacuums before this one. They were all the Navigator, but not the lift away. This model is horrible. The drum fills up with ONE PASS OVER OUR LIVING ROOM AND WE HAVE BRAND NEW CARPET.

Literally, we had our house was built, everything completely new, we have no pets, we don’t smoke, and we bought this vacuum brand new to use in our new house so none of the old “dust and dirt” from our previous home would be transferred to this “new everything” house.

Every single time we use it it smells weird. We’ve cleaned the filters, we clean the drum, we have replaced the filters, all three, it still smells. The way it’s built is so unsteady it falls over at the slightest gust of wind.

Literally I have walked by it too quickly and it’s fallen over. The hose seems like it’d be long but it’s so tight it doesn’t stretch far. I cannot find a single thing about this vacuum I like and that stinks because I am an avid Shark product lover.

Now, as I’m looking for another new vacuum to replace this barely used one that’s garbage all around, my husband doesn’t want to get another Shark because of this one. Not to say I blame him, because I don’t, it’s horrible.

Over the last 7-8 years of having Shark vacuums this one ruined their image and reliability for us both. And that’s after our second one caught on fire and burned my husband’s hand, but they sent us a new upgraded version of that model we had even though it was two years old and pretty worn out, because the reason it caught fire was fixed for the new model they sent us.

So we weren’t even that upset over that entire incident. This whole vacuum in comparison makes me really annoyed they would even sell a product like this.

The Shark – Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is a good and powerful relatively lightweight vacuum. The cord is long, the handle is a comfortable height, and the vacuum swivels so it’s easy to push and get around furniture.

It has powerful suction and is height adjustable so it works well on different types and lengths of carpet. The roller can be turned off, which is convenient if you want to use it on bare floors or decorative carpeting with long tassels.

Some things that I would have liked more of is on board tools, this only comes with 1 extender crevice tool and 1 little combo duster piece which I don’t know what it’s really called. The dirt cup is an ok size but of course space is taken up by the filter, and It’s easy to empty.

You can remove the whole center section of the vacuum and use it with the hose and extender crevice tool or other tool if you want to vacuum higher places like vents on a wall or ceiling fans, or go up the steps while vacuuming the baseboards, etc.

Easy to use- makes vacuuming seem like less of a chore! It’s been over a year since we got it Oct 2020, and it’s still working just as well as it did the 1st time we used it, which is saying a lot because it has to keep up with the fur of 2 cats and 1 long hair dog that sheds a lot! We’ve gone through a bunch of vacuums, all brand names, thru the years, and this Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is definitely the best one so far!.

This vacuum is okay. I broke my other Shark Navigator, the NV586 purple one, about a year ago and needed a quick replacement so I thought this one would be just as good. It was not. It was fine but really just not powerful enough to handle my 4 kiddos and two pets.

So I went looking for an upgrade and I am coming back to write a review finally becuase I recently purchased the new Shark Vertex DuoClean (AZ2002) and OMG I never knew what I was literally missing. One single pass over an 8×10 rug and the DuoClean picked up more dirt and hair than any other vacuum I have ever owned.

No exaggeration, I think I picked up years worth of nasty that I had no idea was still in there. As a bonus, it also glides over the hardwood floors picking up everything instead of scattering it like other vacuums and now I am also throwing away my brooms.

After owning three Sharks and one Dyson, I would recommend the DuoClean forever. So the NV360 is fine for single folks with no pets or kids who also don’t need to do hardwood floors, otherwise watch for a sale and snag the new DuoClean.

LOVE Henry/Harry!!! Friendly little chap with a FEROCIOUS appetite. He’s the vacuum we should have purchased YEARS ago, instead of all those bagless, horrifyingly expensive uprights, promising to be all we needed to keep our home clean and quickly proving they just weren’t up to the job.

One of the most amazing points about Harry is that he doesn’t blow “wet dog” odours back out as he vacuums. Now the carpets not only look spotless again but the rooms smell fresh thanks to his charcoal filter.

The electric lead is really long and the dust bag is massive so, all in all, no need to keep stopping to find another socket to plug in to, rarely having to fit a new dust bag and no stopping to pull dog hair out of his special “fur” attachment, because he just keeps going.

I like the product. It works very good in suction and easy cleanup. I like the adjustable extension hose. We use a paper clip to clip the extension to prevent it from retracting on its own.

This is a terrific little vacuum! It really has lots of sucking power considering its size and is easy to maneuver around all sorts of objects. I am really pleased to have a bagless canister – it is so environmentally friendly.

Would love it more if it required a little less room to store the tubing.

This super portable rechargeable vacuum is my go to picker upper for 95% of all my cleaning jobs. Hell, I used it once to retrieve coins stuck deep within the sofa frame. It sucked’em right up then I opened up the catch chamber and plopped out a little over $2 in change.

Excels at precision vacuuming but we also use the long attachment to clean hallways and bathrooms. Great for baseboards and corners. Recharges crazy fast and seems to run forever. Pulls about 90% of the dust off of figurines, books, fan blades and unused surfaces so the when we have actually wipe them down there is little left for the cloth to pick up.

Gets into the tightest places. Easy to empty and easy to disassemble in order clean to clean it.

Great suction power! Pet hair tool is phenomenal because you don’t have to pull hair out of bristles. It’s even good at pulling hair out of the knit and fibers. No need to spend a fortune on lint rollers bristle-less tools or countless hours removing pet hair and lint.

My only nitpicks is having only 10-15 minutes to do what you got to do and how slightly awkward the unit can be despite it’s ultra-light weight. The hose length occasionionally makes it hard when a job requires 2 hands.

It’s not long enough to set it down while you stand or to hang it up while you work close to the ground. The hose is too short because its length conforms to its rounded “holster” atop the vac unit. Ideally a strap could free up your carrying hand to throw it over a shoulder or hang it wile you vac blinds or curtains.

It takes about an hour to charge but you only get a fraction of that time to use it. But it works really well while charged. The ability to switch from corded to cordless usage would make this vac a dream come true!.

I charged the Vac 4 hours out of the box per instructions. Attached floor pipe and wide floor broom and did the entire house, de-crumbed the kitchen counters, stove, table, dusted some furniture. Then went to the garage and vac’d front and back of my wife’s Toyota Avalon.

All this in ONE Charge and it was still running strong. I emptied the dust & dirt tank which was full. I’m extremely impressed with little jewel. Two-three years ago I bought the 18 volt Black & Decker Floor Vac with a beater bar and used it two the three times a week.

But it only has a short run time and takes 18+ hours to recharge. I’ve owned 5 and currently own 2 other vacuum cleaners that cost over $1000. 00 each when purchased from the door to door salesmen. I rarely use them except for a deep clean once a month due to weight, cords, & attachment removal & installation complexity.

My wife will only use the light battery upright when she has the time. Basically I do all the vacuuming. Therefore I really love this new light weight vacuum! Due to time constraints of the old 18 volt model I’m learn to move really fast before the battery ran out.

Now I can chill out a little as vacuum. Just one suggested improvement, maybe if Black & Decker could add some shoulder strap clips to vac so I could watch movies on my phone with one hand and vac with the other.

Even though the vac is light a neck/shoulder strap would free up one hand for dusting night stands with pictures and whatnots. I’m thinking about ordering replacement Lithium batteries to install and modify my old 18 volt floor vac.

Because these new 20 volt Lithium batteries are unbelievably strong and quicker to recharge. The old 18 volt Black & Decker floor vac has a beater bar which is better for carpet and scattered rugs. The vortex dust bin is see through which hopefully will catch the eye of my wife and alert her to empty the dust bin.

As with all vac’s if the dust bin or bag in packed full of dirt the suction will decrease. My wife and daughter in-laws can’t seem to understand this simple law of physical science. Instead they go buy another vacuum cleaner when the old vacuum cleaner fills up with dirt.

They just wonder why the vac quit sucking up dirt. Instead of changing the bag or emptying the dust bin they just toss the vac out by the curve with the garbage and buy a new one. Here’s a recent example of this fact.

This Christmas I flew to my sons and tried to vacuum with a $800. 00 demo slightly used vacuum I gave them a few years ago. They have three little crumb spreaders & a dog who eats sitting side ways at or under the table and in front of the living room TV.

One can only imagine the piles of cookie & pop corn crumbles strewn all over their 2 story house with dark brown hardwood floors. The dog with it’s short legs and long fur acted as a dust mop which only move dirt from room to room and hall ways.

Every 12 hours the floors where depressingly covered in fur balls, craft bits of paper, ripped dog chew toy stuffing and food crumbs. So I got their vacuum out of the laundry room and unrolled the cord and began to vacuum.

The poor machine was barely breathing because the bag was completely full. My daughter in-law later complained that the vacuum was “horrible and it didn’t suck at all. ” I told her it was “just a full bag issue.

” Then she said, “I recently change the bag, but had cleaned a lot prior to your arrival. ” I’ll just keep my thoughts to myself about how dirty the floors must have been to fill that large bag past the full mark on the large dust bag.

Really as a working mom with three small children, a dog, and a foraging husband, she’s doing her best to just survive house work. I guess what I’m trying to say is the clear dust bin on the Black & Decker Vac is helpful to those who are to busy to pay attention to the needs of their tools.

Hopefully they won’t ignore the swirling dirt inside their tool and a light will flash through their brain and they will empty it after every use. Really I needed to purchase another 20 volt Black & Decker Vacuum with the attachments and extension pipe.

Then send it to my daughter-in-law to make her life easier. Thanks Black & Decker for getting it right and building a Vacuum Cleaner that makes my life easier. Really your tool is a life saver. It was my Christmas present to myself.

I have had this for some time and its pure junk. I actually bought 2 of them and 1 was broken from factory, which they promply replaced, but it lacks suction. I realize its cordless, but after my disappointment, I purchased a dewalt cordless shop vac, which works circles around the worx one.

Maybbe not 100% fair since my dewalt is a shop vac, but it barely picks up little piles of dirt. I really hate to leave a negative feedbaack since I have bought numerous things from them and most, but not all, have met or exceeded my expectations.

Maybe this one isnt for me. I was goingbto get the shop vac they currently have, but at time I got my dewalt, they weren’t for sale in the states, only Europe, at that time. Maybe, I would have done better with it, but nit this one.

Sorry, worx, but you missed it with this one.

Best feature is the size and weight – so portable and light. Would be nice if the hose stretched a little farther, but then it might not store so neatly. You can’t quite reach a full arm’s length with it, but still quite handy.

The suction seems quite adequate for a small unit (won’t rival your shop vac or home vacuum, but good enough for small jobs) Battery removal and charging are easy, and dust cup emptying also easy. Haven’t tried cleaning the internal filter yet.

Price is higher than cheap handheld units (think DustBuster), but I think it will be much more versatile. I have a plastic wand from a discarded vacuum that will work as an extension. May get a better dusting brush, as this one has very short bristles only on one side (I like old-school brushes).

Great little vacuum with plenty enough power EXCEPT. huge fail from the design team! The hose is waaay too short and even with the battery in, the cube unit isn’t heavy enough to stay upright when you stretch out the hose – it ALWAYS tumps over! You basically have to hold the hose in one hand and the cube in the other which make is very cumbersome and awkward.

I’m not the only person who has complained about this either! Worx could EASILY fix this if they just made a detachable hose extension but they haven’t! I’ve bought a few different “universal” vac hose extensions to try to solve this problem myself (something I shouldn’t have to do!) And none of them have fit properly! MAKE A HOSE EXTENSION WORX!!!!.

I had bought a robot vacuum on Amazon, maybe a little less than $100 more than this one, and had fallen in love with it and once i couldn’t find any replacement parts to keep it running at its peak, I saw this on sale for $175 and thought, why not? I’ve owned this not even 24 hours and I absolutely hate it.

It’s loud, REALLY loud, can’t even drown it out with television. It’s really aggressive and hits everything, and it hits everything pretty hard. For the price of this thing I would’ve expected at least some level of intelligence but the only intelligence it comes with is that it returns to the charging doc and that’s it.

It wanders around aimlessly while my other had a convenient zig zag pattern that would clean the entirety of my home. No mapping which, for the price, is a let down, so it won’t even clean my whole house very efficiently.

It can’t navigate very well through hallways or any narrow areas like that, if it hits the wall one too many times it will turn around and not get that area of the house. Constantly cleaning the same areas.

The only pros I found is it does do a good job collecting dirt, and I like that it’ll spin to more thoroughly clean one area but that’s not enough to outweigh all the cons. This thing is annoying and gets stuck and caught on everything while my off brand Amazon purchase wouldn’t, so I wouldn’t bother using the feature to run while I’m not home because it will get stuck.

I had high hopes for this but I’ve been disappointed. I hope to be able to find replacement parts for my other robot vacuum, and sell this or even give it away for free. I can say I’m glad I did not pay full price for this, and I’m even sad to say I wasted $175 on it.

The Roomba 694 is a “half-smart” robot vacuum that’s a bit clunky, but cleans well. It’s Wi-Fi capable, so you can control it with the iRobot app, set cleaning schedules, and even command it to start and stop with the sound of your voice using Google Home or Alexa integration.

I was kind of shocked how easy it was to set up in the app, because I have 2 other “smarter” robot vacuums from other popular brands that supposedly have this feature, but I could never get them connected properly.

This is my first Roomba, and while the app controls for the 694 are sparse, I appreciate how snappy the app’s user interface is. It’s well thought out and easy to use, however with the 694, all you can really do is start and stop cleaning, integrate it with Google Home or Alexa, and program a cleaning schedule.

That said, it was super enjoyable to have a robot vacuum that actually responds to my voice. Outside of a responsive app, the hard buttons on the vacuum itself work well and offer the ability to start and pause cleaning, spot clean, or send it to Home base.

Going back to Home base is where this vacuum gets a bit weird, because sometimes it makes it and sometimes it doesn’t. It doesn’t have mapping technology, so I don’t know how it figures out where the charging base is, but it usually eventually makes it back there when it’s done.

If it’s vacuuming the same room as the recharging base it’s fine, but it can get lost when it ventures further out. Not a big deal if you’re used to the dummy bumper based robot vacuums as it’s still a tad bit “smarter” overall.

Cleaning wise, the Roomba 694 has great suction and moves quickly. The single cleaning arm does a good job guiding dirt and debris into the vacuum rollers and it had no problem climbing over a ¾” floor transition we have in the house.

My other 2 robot vacuums can barely get over it, so it was a marvel to see the 694 climb it with ease. It did a great job on hardwood and thick rugs and supposedly has dirt detection where it automatically spends more time cleaning dirtier areas.

It’s nothing I can tell in action, but my floors feel squeaky clean, so I’ll let the results speak for themselves. It’s funny, watching how well it cleans and how agile it moves, I think of it as the young dumb teenager of my robot vacuuming group.

It seems physically more capable than the other two, and while it’s smart enough to not fall off cliffs and kind of find its way home, it doesn’t have object avoidance, room mapping, programmable “no-go” zones, or the capability to vacuum in organized lines.

I don’t have to worry about it falling down the stairs, but I still have to clear the house of cables before setting it free, and block off the areas I don’t want it to go. Overall, the Roomba 694 is a capable “half smart” robot vacuum with a strong motor and Wi-Fi capabilities.

It’s a bit clunky and doesn’t always find its way home, but cleans well and is easy to control via smartphone app or Google Home / Alexa voice integration. It’s a solid choice if you’re in the market for a bumper guided robot vacuum that’s slightly more capable than the base models.

My kids got the Roomba 694 for me for my birthday recently. I have had it about a week, now – and am enjoying it. It’s novel to me to have an appliance connected to WiFi, and to name it. So – my Roomba 694 has been named “Elon Musk”.

I thought it quite appropriate that Elon Musk should be sweeping my floors and doing “real work” in the world. I, however, can count on Elon getting stuck as soon as he leaves his home base, and calling out for help.

I have him scheduled for a 7am start in the mornings, and by 7:03, he calls out for assistance because he has gotten stuck in a tight spot, or feels as if he will fall off a cliff. While it is quite the ego boost for me to be the one to save Elon Musk from these perils of the land – it would be nice if he would remember these spots and avoid them.

Good thing I didn’t name him “Indiana Jones” – else he would have found the quicksand in the house!Today – when I ended his job and instructed it to return to base – it bumbled around every room in the house – much like a 5 year old child who refuses to go to bed at an appropriate time.

After about 20 minutes of him not finding (or going near) the base, I had to cleverly corral it to the right direction by letting it bump my feet until it got the right idea on a direction to go to return to dock.

Overall – a great and entertaining gift – that really isn’t as autonomous as it could be. Maybe a software update to add some memory/mapping intelligence?.

I’m glad I bought this little portable vac. It works great in cleaning my van. I get a lot of fir tree needles on the floor mats. Using high speed setting with the brush was better that using the crevice tool for picking up fir needles.

I was surprised the 2Ahr battery last a long time on high vacuum speed. I also used the battery on the Worx small blower to blow fir needles off the van and engine compartment. The blower was great for cleaning out the vacuum waste container and cleaning the vac hepa&metal filter.

A great combination of tools.

I was hesitant at first to purchase this vacuum until I got the New Years coupon so I thought “why not?”. I wish I had purchased this little guy months ago. I constantly have kids hanging off of me and this have non-stop messes but this vacuum is the right size and weight to one hand around the house, and sturdy enough that the kids can’t demolish it.

I have 6 different batteries for my Worx tools and they all work splendidly for this little monster. Definitely give this little guy a try and you won’t regret it, light weight, contain a lot, packs a punch, and is an adorable cube.

Purchased this to help with keeping up on cleanup for my 7 month old St Bernard. I will say this little vacuum is decently powerful , however the attachments are not built well. Within 1 week of owning this, the red felt on the bottom of the flat brush came off and was sucked into the vacuum.

I fished them out and tried super gluing them back on but the pieces were damaged when going into the vacuum and will not reattach properly. I really wish Bissell would have used rubber strips instead of felt.

I feel the felt only gathers the hair, and it sticks to the outside of the attachment. I have to lift the vacuum up often to force the hair inside with my fingers. So definitely not the best tool for removing hair that’s stuck into carpet or furniture.

I picked up a cheap rubber squeegee and use this hand vac to suck up the hair. All in all I’m not totally unhappy, but just remember this vacuum might just be one of the many tools you’ll need to keep your pet hair under control.

I will try contacting Bissell to see if they can send out a replacement flat brush.

I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage.

It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone.

Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don’t realize how much you need it until you buy it.

I have another Bissel vacuum cleaner as well and overall I am happy with the quality they put into their products. I hope this review helps you in your purchase decision.

At least, unboxing and setup were easy but there’s nothing to hang it on the wall. To start with, the grip is supremely uncomfortable. The diameter of the vacuum “stick” carries all the way up to the handle, so it’s like gripping an oversized tube.

Imagine if 2-3 normal-sized broom handles were taped together, and you start to get the idea of how fat the handle is. It hurt my hands (I had to switch hands constantly), and I have the usual man-hands of a 6’3″ guy.

Because it’s such a big grip, maneuvering the vacuum was pretty much nonexistent. Actually using the device didn’t make things better. It’s a short stick vac, which means it doesn’t reach very far under furniture.

Then, there are these weird plastic brackets attached to the tube that I’m assuming are storage for various attachments, and those get further in the way of reaching under couches, cabinets, and other pieces of furniture that are elevated.

After attempting to vacuum under one or two in my living room, I gave up on getting underneath anything else. It didn’t matter, as I learned, as the swivel action of the suction head acts like it’s been in a rear-end collision and is now wearing a neck brace.

Side-suction, you know, running it alongside a baseboard, or around cabinet bases in the kitchen, is nonexistent. After going back and forth, I had to sweep the debris out to the middle of the room so that it was captured.

Vacuuming on thick rugs caused it to make a plaintive sound, as if it were a sentient being, coming to terms with the mistakes in its life that has led it to this act of penitence. No confidence here that actual deep suction occurred, only the awareness of the change in sound (relief?) as it returned to perfectly flat hardwood flooring.

Vacuuming on low rugs, but rugs with grooves in them, also doesn’t give me the confidence that they are clean, but at least the device doesn’t sound as if it’s being separated from its soul. Overall, the combination of all the the above (fat grip, too short tube, and being un-swivel-ized, et cetera, et cetera), makes the act of vacuuming much harder than it needs to be.

Returning the device to the home base creates a lot of noise. I know that vacuum numero dos (number 2) is now firing up to suck the debris out of vacuum number 1, but it’s loud, and in my opinion, unnecessary.

There is a manual dump option, but at that point, I was over the “features” this unit claims to possess. Besides, every time the power even fluctuates, the base thinks it has to restart, so there’s a random loud sound of a vacuum until the reboot is finished.

There is a ‘mute’ button that stops the automatic suck into the base of the contents of the mobile suck-stick, but that defeats the purpose of the automatic unloading function. Lining up the slits and slots so that the vacuum correctly seats into the base for content-emptying and recharging also presents problems since the tabs and whatnot are flimsy.

Overall, this is not my favorite, and I would not recommend it.

This stick vacuum is a good vacuum in terms of it’s size and power for it’s size. When combined with the roller head which does exactly what it says in terms of pulling stuff out of the carpet it works really well on all the floors and rugs in my house.

In terms of power it’s nearly as powerful as my other stick vacuum on it’s highest setting (which of course runs it dead VERY fast but this one doesn’t run dead). It still works really well for carpet/hard floors and some upholstery.

Coupled with it’s self-emptying station that eliminates the mess associated with most stick vacuums, it’s hands down one of the easiest ones I’ve used. It’s completely bagless and the base station charges it and while charging it self-empties when it needs to so you literally don’t have to worry about it until the base is full.

It is light and small which is great and doesn’t take up much room. The base station is nice which means no holes in the wall to mount it to the wall, a huge plus. Pros: Convenient self-empty system works well Bagless and doesn’t make a mess to empty it Powerful roller system that works well on all floors Cordless and lasts more than 20-30 minutes in each time I’ve used it so far Ability to control/delay when it empties so it doesn’t disturb during the night Includes tool attachments though with it’s shape not necessarily the best to use in all scenarios Warranty offered by Shark is AMAZING- 5 Years, wow! Cons: Awkward shape/size for using tools to get in tight places Could use a bit more power or a higher “turbo” mode that may run battery dead quick so just to use for those places that are hard to get close to suck out Doesn’t stand up on it’s own or lean on things without falling over (which WILL eventually break it so be careful!!) Overall this is a good system.

It’s not intended to necessarily replace a large corded powerful vacuum for deep cleaning but this system does just about as good, especially when you have a system like this that makes it easy to keep on top of it.

Just whip it out for 10 minutes, and put it up, and it enables you to keep your house clean.

I am very pleased with this cordless vacuum. I’m very impressed by it’s performance on hardwood and mid-high carpet. I love how easy it is to switch between modes and into the various functionalities the vacuum offers.

You can simply toggle between carpet and tile/hardwood mode. There is a button at the top of the vaccum right under where you turn it on it opens the canister and you can simple empty it with ease over a trash can with no messes.

I also love the ability to turn the vacuum into a longer handheld tool, which makes it easy to clean baseboards while standing upright or underneath furniture like our bed, and dressers. The suction is awesome! It cleaned my master bedroom carpet where my 2 dogs and cat sleep with ease.

This vaccum has a battery indicator light which tells you how much battery remains and how charged it is. I am always amazed at how much it picks up off my floor and I keep a pretty clean house. It gets under need beds and furniture easily with it’s slim design.

The battery charge is enough for vacuuming my entire house. I haven’t ran out of battery during vacuuming so far. I normally vacuum for about 30 mins non-stop on both modes tile floor and carpet and the vaccum still has quite a charge.

I seriously love this vacuum and it makes cleaning the floors not feel like a chore anymore. The floor gets clean in minutes and I can spend more time doing what I want. The only thing I did not like the dust holder is smaller than average.

I have to empty it a couple of times during vacuuming which is not a problem I just wish the dust holder was a tad bigger. The core strengths of this cordless stick vac could make it a good option for many people.

The vaccum comes with a charging station that it can sit on. When not in use it easily stands in my hall closet on the charging station.

This vacuum is very portable and has a lot of power to it. It does vacuum up pet hair and dust and other small objects. The attachments for the vacuum are also very nice. The stand for the vacuum is not stable on it’s own.

It requires the stand for the attachments to have stability. For some reason that I’m not sure, the two stands are separate pieces instead of together. It would have made more sense to me to connect them since the vacuum cannot stand in its stand without the other one attached.

The vacuum comes with written and picture instructions all over it to help the user know how it works. It’s quite handy. Being that the vacuum is quite portable, it also makes the reservoir quite small which is understandable.

The vacuum is marketed as a pet vacuum and to empty the reservoir, one must simply use the button to pop open the reservoir and the pet hair and dirt and dust simply falls out. I found that the pet hair needed an extra push to come out, either by pulling it out or by tapping on it.

The other caveat I had was that because the vacuum is so powerful, the air used in the suction process is pushed out of the sides of the vacuum. It make using it in tight spaces, like stairs, a no go because it pushes the dirt away from the vacuum instead of the vacuum sucking it up.

This vacuum is very nice for small spaces, such as the edges where the walls meet the floors or where a traditional sized vacuum cannot go. It is a very powerful vacuum but that power also causes a few issues.

On 3/18/2020, I bought a Shark Wand Vac Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum Model WV201CO a 10. 8V from Costco for $89. 99. I’ve used it now almost every day for picking up light dust on the floor, specks around the desk and computer, some of my roommate’s dog’s hair near the front doorway where we take off our shoes at the door, and to vacuum out my car.

The vacuum does seem to work well for these tasks; although, I noticed how the device stops working whenever there gets a slight bit of a clog or build up in the small suction part where the debris collects.

Even with full charges the device will just stop working after 3 or 4 seconds of turning it on. Therefore I have to be constantly emptying the container and find myself having to clean it out using teasers and alcohol and soap.

It would be nice if I didn’t have to clean and empty out the container constantly just so that the device stays on with a full charge. So, I decided to simply return the device today 4/11/2022 back to Costco for a full refund.

I will just go back to using my heavier and reliable vaccuum cleaner that I have had for over 10 years and works great. All that I can say to you folks that gave this product a 1-star and having the same problem as me with the charge running out or the device not working any longer.

it’s not the charge in the device, the device just needs to be emptied out constantly and you need to clean and unclog the inside part by removing the container. It’s very easy to do but it’s just more of an inconvenience having to do this all the time after using the device.

A very powerful little vacuum good for picking crumbs, removing pet hair from clothing and furniture. And it’s portable so you can keep it handy and use it for quick clean up jobs. The downside: a note on the box cautioned to read entire instructions before using but no instructions were enclosed in the box but they are available online at the Black Decker web site.

There is one item in the manual that does not apply to this model vacuum: the instructions note the charge indicator will flash when battery is low then turn solid when fully charged. However I found that the charge light is solid when in need of charge and it will turn off at full charge.

A minor detail but something to be aware of.

Terribly designed charger. The vacuum cleaner perches vertically on it. It rocks. It can fall over and crash at the slightest touch. It can break in the fall or be dangerous. This is “cheap” at its utmost.

The wall hanger was missing altogether, but from the diagrams it is hard see if the cleaner can be charging while it hangs. Probably not, so what’s the point? The two pieces, the body and the nozzle, are nearly impossible to line up evenly and stably.

I’ve had a lot of experience with Black.

We purchased this vacuum about a month ago. I have had an electrolux canister for ever. It quit working, find out later head got clogged. Anyway this Kenmore vacuum works awesome on carpet, we have 6 med sized dogs 4 shed constantly.

The pet attachment works nice on furniture. I dont care for it on hard surfaces though. The exhaust is to low and it blows the dog hair around before it can be sucked up. Been using my old vacuum for all the hard surfaces.

I bought this vacuum because of the high ratings and the fact that it uses a HEPA filter and bags. I absolutely love this vacuum. It out performs every other vacuum Ive owned that were priced much higher.

I have very dense, thick wall to wall carpet and a Siberian Husky. Not an easy task keeping my floors clean. This vacuum delivers! Its power is incredible. The suction is unbelievable and it glides across my carpet.

The attachments work great with the telescopic extension wand. I just wish the hose was a bit longer and more flexible. The two motor system cant be beat. I like the fact that I can switch the brush roll off and on depending on the surface Im cleaning.

Overall, this vacuum gets a two thumbs up! Its a beast and a great value, especially if you can find this unit on eBay at a discounted price like I did. I highly recommend this vacuum for pet parents or just for someone who really wants a clean home.

I received a vacuum cleaner yesterday via UPS. The sales confirmation number is 8E4E92191 for a Kenmore Elite 31150 (item # 43972165). It was advertised as new, good condition with cosmetic damage. When it arrived, the handle was sticking out of the box, in contact with the ground with apparent scratches as a result of poorly packaging.

The vacuum’s front panel cover was dirty with stains of some sort that should have been cleaned before shipping. The cover is also broken and will not stay attached to the vacuum. The vacuum has obviously been used because there are hair and carpet fibers on the brush roll.

There was also no manual included and no bag so it could be used. I would like to return it for a full refund. Could you please send me a prepaid shipping tag. I will return it in the same package it arrived in (two boxes poorly taped together with no internal foam to prevent shipping damage).

I’ve got a graveyard of cordless vacuums. many different brands, volts, watts, sizes. This one is the most practical! Great for the car. Light weight and powerful suction. I’m impressed with the time it works until it is ready for another charge.

I bought this to use for my car and to clean out the cracks/crevices of my couch and recliners. Reaches in places that only crumbs can find! Now the negatives. The charging doc is sort of big and awkward.

It has holders for the additional parts but really kind of dumb (not a big issue for me as I didn’t buy this for the additional parts although they do come in handy. Kind of hard to turn this on and there is a slight 3 sec.

pause for it to start up to maximum suction (again something you can live with). The way the attachments attach is a joke. They come off WAY to easily. Why they don’t “snap” into the main tube is beyond me.

There is this type of plastic press latch that really has no strength to holding or keeping it on whatsoever. This vacuum would be a “10” if it wasn’t for that stupid attachment. Who designs these? Obviously, someone who doesn’t vacuum often.

This is a perfect gadget for homes with pets. We love our little fur babies, but the hair!!! I love this vac. It cleans and picks up hair and dust really well! Good investment

Pro’s – I would give the Razor Pet a 5 star for Great suction (pet hair!) small size, very maneuverable in small spaces and easy to clean. Con’s – Zero stars after just over one year the brushroll bearings got completely jammed (there was nothing wrapped around the roller, this was something else that jammed in the bearing area).

The brushroll no longer turns (at all). When I called 1. 800. 321. 1134 for service was told there is NO REPLACEMENT PART. There are only two replacement parts that I can see you can order for this model.

Was offered a discount on purchasing a new vacuum! So Dirt Devil decides NOT to continue making parts AND has the gall to suggest I might like to purchase another at a discount!? The hand held cord attaches at the bottom of vacuum so if you want to reach the ceiling you’ll need to lift up the entire vacuum cleaner in one hand and use the hand held cord in the other.

Short cord! This was my 2nd Dirt Devil as the first lasted 14 years. Unfortunately this will be the last Dirt Devil I buy as without a simple replacement part an entire vacuum is now useless. Would only recommend if there are replacement parts available for the model.

My little dog sheds an unbelievable amount of fur. I use this throughout my home. The best things about this product are: 1) strong motor; 2) it’s lightweight; 3) the attachment hose is long enough that the vacuum doesn’t collapse when in use; 3) disassembling the unit to clean is very easy, assembling is also very easy.

I bought a well-advertised competitive pet vacuum during the pandemic shutdown. It caused me nothing but grief. I don’t have the strong hands of a 20-year old any longer, so I dreaded having to clean the canister.

There were times I broke into tears of frustration because I just didn’t have the strength to move the parts in the same directions. (I put that product up on the neighborhood website “for sale” section, reducing my purchase price by 2/3.

Still no takers. ) I need a clean house. The Razor Pet Upright Vacuum allows me to do that, without stress, tears or anger I use this on my hardwood floors, area rugs, throw rugs and carpeting.

I thought the vacume was great until using it on my main floor rug (shaggy rug). I was disappointed to see there was no self adjustment which almost makes the vacuume useless when not easily versatile to different kinds of carpet and rugs.

I had high hopes for this vacume. I am a long time ex housekeeper but pride myself on my home and cleaning tools. Perhaps there can be some add on created to the vacume because I would hate to return it.

I love the suction power and durability it has. I would like to use it to fullest abilities that it could achieve. I’m impressed by what it picked up from my carpet with the brush mode working for the short amount of time that it did.

I want the pleasure of easily doing so every time than fighting with it. Thanks.
