20 Best Value Vac Oven (2022 Updated)

My 64-year old oven failed in early March. Repairs were not possible due to its obsolescence. I therefore ordered a replacement oven from US Appliance in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Over the ensuing months, I was repeatedly informed that, due to supply chain issues, my new oven would not be delivered when it was promised.

I was notified a total of five times that the shipment would be delayed yet again. The last time I heard from US Appliance they informed me that the delivery date would be pushed back to October. Fortunately I received an update a few weeks later stating that the oven would be shipped in late June.

I received the oven on July 6, 2022. A local appliance repair company installed the new oven. It fit perfectly into the existing opening. After preparing a few meals in my new oven, I am pleased to report that it functions well.

The temperature in the oven box runs a few degrees warmer than the setting control display illustrates. Regardless, I can easily compensate for this minor issue. Also, I am still getting used to the digital control functions of this oven, as my former oven contained only analog functions.

I have two minor criticisms about my new oven. First, it arrived with some minor cosmetic damage. US Appliance required a signature when the shipment (by a third party carrier) arrived. The damage was not visible during my initial inspection of the oven when it was still in the shipping container.

However, it is not objectionable. My second criticism is that the oven arrived with a partially broken handle on the storage compartment door. I traced the break back to stripped threads on the back of the handle (which is made out of plastic).

Since the threads were stripped, the attaching bolt could not secure the handle to the door. I had to resort to gluing the handle back to the door using JB Weld. Also, as stated by other reviewers, the oven did not come with a broiler pan.

I have since purchased a broiler pan for my new oven through another company.

Purchased to replace a cabinet oven ,we had to employ a cabinet maker to down size the existing opening including adding a drawer underneath to fill the opening from the old double oven. We received the new oven specs from Frigidaire and altered the opening accordingly, huge mistake !!!! When the oven FINALLY arrived the dimensions of the new oven were off in three different planes ,after hours on the phone with Frigidaire i was advised this was not unusual ???? I was guided to a site which was to offer a rebate up to $350.

00 to help pay for additional alterations by the cabinet maker. After again hours on the phone i was told my model was not eligible for a rebate and Frigidaire was sorry, i ate the cost. Fast forward to Thanksgiving (yesterday) and we place a 19 lb turkey in the oven and the rack collapses the turkey falls from the pan and the rack wedges into the bottom of the oven.

The problem, the racks are a sloppy fit and if they move to either side they barely catch the side rails that hold the rack,up. Add the weight of a turkey and the rack slides over the rail and the turkey on the floor.

I’m awaiting Frigidaires reply.

I bought this through Best Buy. With geek squad membership it was installed for free. Plus longer warranty. So glad I went through with this choice! The oven essentially works like a convection oven with air circulation to ensure even cooking.

I make sourdough and other baked goods. So far everything is coming out so much better than my previous oven. Crisp on the outside, soft center. Can’t wait to roast a chicken. Easy to program for temp and time.

People complain about no broiler pan, but their not expensive. I already had one from the previous oven. I measured temp and it’s 100% accurate. Overall it’s a great little oven. I got the black one and true to advertised, The outside stays pretty smudge free between cleanings.

I got this oven with the purchase of a new condo. Everyone was saying “oooo Bosch” but my experiences with this thing are very dissapointing. Firstly, and probably most annoying is the timer. How did this pass through the design stage? By the time you manage to set the timer the time you put is no longer relivant because 10 minutes has gone by.

But perhaps that is a design feature because it cooks sooo slow. Pre-heating this thing takes over 30 minutes. Also, whatever a recipe says I need to add 25 degrees or 10 minutes (just enough time to set the timer).

Thirdly, these knobs are way too easy to turn and waaay too accesible for toddlers. My daughter is always trying to turn them, and if you wipe a mess near the knobs you will definately turn the oven on.

or off. or to broil and burn your food. Fourthly, the light. You push “on” and the light slowly transitions to on. Literallty everything about this oven is slow. When I push on I want on. Also, the bulb burnt out in like 3 weeks.

Overall I kind of hate this oven.

I bought this oven in June 2019 and it takes forever to get to temperature and sometimes apparently never does. I have had service providers come multiple times. The first time, the service technician was advised to turn the circuit breaker off and on and when he tested the unit it heated more quickly.

The next technician advised replacing the main circuit board and that repair took place today, Today’s service technician got the oven to reach 350 in 19 minutes (so far, so good) but then raised the temp from 350 to 400 and the oven stayed in preheat for more than another hour; never signaling that it had reached the set temperature.

Something is very wrong when an oven does not elevate 50 degrees in temp in over an hour. I ultimately waited 90 minutes without any signal that the oven reached 400. No sound and the oven continuously reported preheat.

I turned the oven off in frustration. The service provider himself described the performance as unacceptable. He had to leave for other appointments–having spent too much of his workday waiting for this unit to reach temp.

On the days that I manage to get it to the set temp that I need, it cooks fine. But I feel particularly foolish to spend 90 minutes trying to get the oven to preheat and then popping in a quick pizza for 15 minutes.

I tried Bosch Customer Serive with little help. Previous calls to engineering by one service technician seemed to suggest that waiting 30-35 minutes to preheat is not considered problematic by Bosch.

(Not sure what they think about more than 90 minutes without the appliance reporting that it has reached the set temp 50 degrees higher than the prior set point. ). The service technician explained that this unit uses a preheating mode that cycles among the three heating elements –bake, broil and convection–to arrive at the set temp and assure that the oven is evenly and fully heated.

So, that might explain a slightly longer preheat time. But my experience has been unsatisfactory. I saw nothing in the literature about L-O-N-G preheating times. I would be very cautious before purchasing this oven.

Like most products manufactured on assembly lines, when one person has a problem that is unrecognized by the manufacturer, others are likely to as well. I hope that Bosch takes some interest in learning about this problem and I also pray the problem does not involve an electrical hazard.

This oven is really frustrating to use. The touch screen panel is very finicky and does not respond well. The panel will overshoot by a lot when setting timers too because it is so unresponsive. It takes a very long time to preheat compared to other ovens.

My led display is dimmed in the middle and is very annoying to look at. It is very difficult to change the lightbulb too. I called customer support for help and it would end up costing hundreds of dollars just to have someone look at the LED display and their tech support advice consisted of the person looking up the manual online (which we all have access to) and telling me to turn it harder.

Had to wait over an hour on the phone for this advice.

I bought two of these, unfortunately. I picked these models because of the steam function. Just out of warranty, and the steam function stopped working. Fill the reservoir with water yet the oven display says empty and won’t proceed.

Other oven won’t even allow steam function to display because it says it needs to be descaled, yet the descale function won’t work properly. Where I live, no one is willing to even try to fix the problem.

No repair people will work with Samsung products. Samsung’s web site is a loop of useless links, all leading to nowhere. Once they have your money, they turn their backs on you. The dealer is no better, passing the buck to Samsung.

We installed this oven in our new kitchen, together with a set of other Samsung appliances. Installation was fairly straightforward. The only issues we faced were with the face plates that didn’t fit our situation perfectly.

We installed the oven in a base cabinet, not a wall cabinet, had had to cover the space above and below the oven with fillers. Also, note that you’ll have to remove the door to attach the bottom screws to the cabinet side walls.

So far, I have used the oven to bake sourdough bread, banana bread, brioche, veggies, and head up food. While I still have to experiment with the different convection and steam settings, I have been very pleased with the results and the usability so far.

One of my favorite and unexpected features is the smart home integration. With my current setup, I receive notification on my phone as well as my Samsung TV when the oven is done preheating or the timer expired.

Although not a problem for me, I was made aware that for some people and some installations, touch screens might not work as well. I have not and will try not to use the self cleaning functions, since, according to reviews, those often lead to device issues which often cannot be repaired.

I am loving this built in oven, have had it a few weeks now. The front display is very user friendly and bold (blue). I’ve tried the steam bake, convection oven and convection roast and bake. The steam bake required me to read over the user manual, but I figured it out.

I’m honestly not sure that I see a difference between the cooking methods, but I’m still experimenting. I did get a greasy spill from Christmas Eve roast and used the 2 hour self-clean, results are amazing…looks like new.

I tried the built in thermometer, but haven’t figured it out yet. I’m hoping to make that work so I can temp my meat as I cook. The racks glide well and it just feels high quality, overall.

I used to be a loyal Frigidaire customer but no longer. I replaced an 18 yr old Frigidaire Gallery 30″ single electric wall oven with this new Frigidaire Gallery 30″ single electric wall oven. You’d think it would fit, right? Nope.

This new one is not as tall by about an inch, which meant it left a gap when installed. 2 options given to me to fix. 1. Add some wood to the bottom of the hole inside the cabinetry to lift the oven up and then buy their absurdly overpriced strip of stainless steel with adhesive backing to cover up the hole or 2.

Use their Fit Promise and hire a professional cabinet maker to fix the gap and fill out the rebate form and wait 2 months for the rebate. (Of course, one agent I spoke with in customer service denied this was available even though the website says it is.

) So the easiest option, the trim piece, is ridiculously overpriced and means Frigidaire makes even more money on their poor design. The other option, the Fit Promise cabinet work, costs both me and Frigidaire more and takes more time and effort.

Customer service would not offer anything but a slight discount on the ripoff piece of stainless steel trim.

The oven is all I hoped for with exception of the air fry basket. I have ordered 3 air fry baskets for this oven they are all to small. The basket size is great it’s the rack it sits on that doesn’t fit.

I assume the rack should slide in the grooves like the other oven racks. It is about 2 inches to narrow. I have gotten refunds on 2 of the racks. I am keeping one and will use the existing racks that came with the oven.

I ordered 1 from Amazon returned for refund. Second one I ordered directly from Frigidaire online. Entered model number and ordered what the program said 30” oven air fry basket. It was the same basket I ordered from Amazon.

I called got a refund. The person on the phone put me through to a person that could help me. She took the model number and said the air fry basket that came up is the proper basket for my oven. It is the same basket I had already received.

I do think you need to address the problem. I am sure I am not the only person that has this problem.

After lighting up panel, you have to push 2 “start” buttons to preheat (to standard 350). Does not seam practical to have a second pushing of another button. When timer shuts off when baking, so does oven! Old oven let me increase the time w/o starting the oven over.

It has air fryer, but no rack. Seriously ?? The 3rd rack that slides out does not fit on all the levels. I like the mid rack to be free and clear of other racks. Its not even necessary to have a slider rack.

Just pull out the rack a bit. So it gets stored in basement. Would rather have 3 regular racks that fit on all levels! One review said the panel was smudge proof. They must never use the oven. The oven seems to bake my cookies and chicken fine.

Bought this model as it was on sale and was available in one week. Hard to know some of these things until you use the oven!.

On August 8th, 2021 I purchased a floor model Stainless Steel Frigidaire Professional Wall Oven (Model # FPET3077RF) from PC Richards. Aside from a small dent on its side the oven appeared to be in perfect condition.

The oven was delivered and installed to accommodate my baking business. The first time I went to use the oven it turned on but after 5mins would shut off. I then tried to use the bottom oven and had the same issue.

On December 7th, 2021 I called and reported the issue and a technician was sent out on December 13th, 2021. He checked the oven, parts were ordered and two weeks later on December 28th he returned with the parts and I was told that the oven was working fine.

On January 19th the oven stopped working again and I notified PC Richards of the issue. A technician was scheduled to come out on February 1st 2022. A technician came and more parts were ordered. I called the corporate office and informed them of my baking business and that their oven is proving to be very problematic.

I also made them aware that removing the ovens multiple time were causing damage to my brand kitchen cabinets. The service rep then credited me the cost of the current oven and told me to go back to PC Richards and pick out another floor model oven as a replacement.

On February 8th, 2022 I picked out another floor model oven and it was delivered and installed on February 15th, 2022. On June 20th, 2022 the oven stopped working. A service call was made on June 29th, 2022 and I was told that two technicians would be there on July 12th, 2022.

The morning of July 12th only one technician arrived instead of two. He questioned what was wrong with the oven and based off of what I told him he ordered parts and did not inspect the oven. On July 21st I received an email stating that the parts are delayed.

I contacted customer service to informed them of my situation and was offered another floor model oven for the third time. At this point in time I’m very frustrated and disappointed. This has not only cost me time but money.

This entire process has been one month shy of one year, my ovens are still nonfunctional and at this point you can’t even tell me when the parts will be available to repair my oven. I’ve been forced to outsource a lot of my business because I could not meet the demands of my customers needs.

I’m disgusted in the quality of your appliances and this problem needs to be rectified as soon as possible.

The GCWD3067AF double wall oven was the only unit I could find that would fit into the space left behind by my dying Kenmore Elite double oven. A corner space in a custom cabinet arrangement meant tight restrictions on my choices.

The Frigidaire just fit with about ¼ inch to spare between the ovens and the cabinet doors above so it was a workable replacement. After less than a month in use, the oven seems to work well. It offered several new features that I had not considered (sous vide, air fry, etc.

) and a few that I had (steam clean, steam bake, etc. ). It comes equipped with one roller rack so I will purchase another (one for each of the ovens) and was surprised that it did not come with a broiler pan.

Fortunately, I have broiler pans from other ovens so that is not an issue, but it is curious. It also has an air fry setting but the air fry rack is an optional purchase. I think a high-end machine should come with the means to use the bells and whistles it offers.

And, in today’s world, I am surprised that a new, high-end machine does not have even minimal digital connectivity. Because my purchase was dictated by fit and space considerations, I had little ability to select options might have wanted or eliminate those I might not.

I will learn the oven’s features and adapt to them. So far it appears to be a good machine and I look forward to many years of use.

Shockingly, you’d think that an oven was an oven was an oven. We replaced a previous oven that cooked its electronics constantly with this. We chose this because of airfry AND dehydrate. We thought everything else would be the same.

But it isn’t. Everything tastes better. Especially if you use the probe. A pork roast just tastes better. Even if I used a thermometer in the old oven to the same temperature. I’m pretty sure this oven is sealed and insulated better.

I wish that it had a fully offline (wifi connected but no cloud required) app to control and view it. I wish that the dehydrate worked better like a dedicated dehydrate. Recommended.

This oven replaces an Electrolux Icon I had purchased in 2008. The new one has some new features (most of which I won’t use. ) The settings are easy to use on the control panel. The racks are ridiculously difficult to remove to reposition.

In fact, my oven arrived with damage on both sides from someone forcing racks out. The damage has been looked at by dealer technician. We will see what Electrolux does about it. Only one is glide out now and it’s not as smooth as in the Icon.

I’ve made lots of cookies using the convection bake setting. Not one burnt cookie, so that’s good. Overall, it’s a nice oven that bakes well. It just doesn’t seem as top drawer as the previous one. Considering how scarce appliances are these days, I suppose I’m fortunate to have found one from a local dealer.

We got this oven to replace our 12 year old convection oven. What an improvement! Modern technology and additional features make this oven fun to use. I wasn’t sure that wifi connectivity would add much, but it is actually a real nice feature.

Notifications from the oven are a real convenience as is preheating from my device. The Air Fryer is a great way be healthier about eating fried foods. The first meal we cooked was a chicken and artichoke casserole.

My wife commented on how much better the meal was in the new oven. Honestly, we are not sure if we just made it better or if the new oven actually made the difference. Likely a combination of both. Regardless, we really enjoy it! Pros: Pre-heats very quickly Oven rack with drawer slides Air Fryer – less gadgets to store and clean Wifi connectivity – notifications that oven is ready, cooled, etc.

Control most functions from your device Clean and modern design Cons: Oven door could be a little more firm upon closing – functionally works fine, I just expected a more firm and positive feeling from shutting the door launching the app from my Samsung Galaxy s10 can be slow Overall we are very happy with the oven and expect that we will use it way more than the old one the features simply make it fun to use.

This unit came as part of a kitchen package that my builder offered. We actually were so focused on the Fridge that we did not realize how awesome this wall oven was! This thing has so many different cooking options & settings! It’s rack system is super smooth and offers the nice air fry tray too.

The ability to use this as oven/air fryer/air sous vide has been awesome. It’s temperature precision is great, which was something I never thought of with the old range we had (And how poor that one was!).

Also I wish all the Electrolux appliances had the same App that would allow you to control the device over the web. I’ve used it to preheat the oven countless times now and just for sanity checking that it’s off.

Also nice that the app pings you when preheating is done or if oven is turned on incase you walk away. Overall, as the title says, this is easily the best appliance in the kitchen.

I’ve had this oven for about 4 years now so I think I can make a pretty case of what I really think of this oven. When we bought this we had such high hopes and really loved how it looked and all the bells and whistles that came with it.

But right away, we had an issue with steam getting into the keyboard. We even had two technicians come out to troubleshoot this and their response was needed to cut a hole in the back of the wall and add separate ventilation for the oven (imagine having another hole cut in your house just so your oven can ventilate properly).

I’ve never had ovens that needed to do that. The keyboard gets stuck every time we cook anything with a drop of moisture. I am so fed up with this oven that I am ready to throw out the 3g I spent on buying and installing it and get something else.

The worst part is, once it goes into error mode, its circuit board or something of the sort goes haywire, asks me randomly if i want to convect bake or convert boil. Can you imagine how dangerous that is???? I also have a bunch of other KitchenAid products, and they’re all fine, but this by far is the biggest red flag ever.

The oven was installed a week ago. Tried a roast on convection oven, but probe is not measuring internal temperature correctly, so I relied on my own thermometer. Thus, this a nice feature that does not work properly.

Plus it is difficult to connect the probe in a preheated oven without burning your fingers or oven glove. Manual does not explain very well the distinction between regular baking and convection baking, and within convection baking, options one and two.

The same goes for convection roasting, options one and two are confusing. No examples are provided. Also, oven takes a long time to preheat (my old oven 10 minutes, this new one approx. 20 minutes). I spent approx.

40 minutes today trying to get help from customer service — bad, bad experience. The first person could not find the manual, the second found the manual but couldn’t explain the differences, the third finally was helpful.

I will give it another go this weekend, see how it goes.

So the “self cleaning option” is a joke! I followed the instructions it steamed the oven! It should bake the oven at 500° for like 8 hours and the oven should come out beautiful. Instead I had to go buy oven cleaning spray let it soak and clean the whole oven and it came out beautiful.

The thing is you shouldn’t have to do that. The reason for self cleaning is it cleans the oven and burns off all the debris not steam the inside to death which does absolutely positively nothing to cleaning the inside of the oven at all!!!!!!! You also have to take the metal shelf’s out too… so I had to use the oven cleaner outside and clean those since it doesn’t even clean the inside metal oven shelf’s.

For as much money as I spent on this oven the self clean option should do it’s job. This steaming option is no cleaning anything at all unless it’s a dishwasher!.

This model is a complete deception. We bought it four months ago in August 2021. It doesn’t bake properly. An oven should be able to braise (https://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Braising) dishes. This one doesn’t cook evenly so the flavors don’t mix, some parts are cooked and others not.

In fact, it cooks like a microwave. But it doesn’t qualify as an oven. It’s very frustrating to prepare sophisticated dishes only to have them ruined by the oven and have to salvage them on the cook top.

Update December 2021 The repairman from Whirlpool spent a few hours testing the oven and found it was not calibrated. The display showed 350F but it measured around 358F on the tester (Omega HH12B). The excuse for this is that the display temperature depends on the preference of the user as if you wanted to change 350F to mean something else.

To change this, press Settings and the Start arrow until you reach Calibration. So he entered -5 to get the temperature to 353F. Also, the temperature cycles between 332 and 410 after starting. So you have to wait about 15 minutes after the oven reaches its prescribed temperature.

Then it cycles from 332 to 374 approximately, for an average of 353. You can check the temperature by pressing on the Stop button (X) twice to get in diagnostic mode and then Start button. The elements, top and bottom, function alternately so that may be the reason it doesn’t cook evenly.

And by the way, there’s no manual, that’s because of the Covid, of course.

Bought this Oven before Christmas 2021. It is sized with double racks to accommodate several dishes. Heats well with the rapid preheat feature. Controls are easy to understand and simple to operate. The materials used are real stainless steel.

(verified with my magnets). Operation and heating of the food is even with no burning on any edges. Lighting inside is adequate. Not having a burner on the bottom is a great plus. There is a fan that operates drawing cooler air up and around the top of the oven and then back down to the front.

The oven does warm up the kitchen during operation as the vent system comes out at the bottom front into the space. Installation was easy, but being less taller by 3. 75″ than my previous model, I had to use the adjustable legs and raise the unit higher in the cabinet to make a nicer fit at the top.

It is very quiet. I have other Whirlpool products in the house and am very happy with this Unit. It was priced right and at the time I was able to make the purchase. Thanks Home Depot.

It worked perfectly for a few months until it was serviced by a Whirlpool technician. Since then the temperature has been WILDLY inaccurate. Mind you, we’ve been using it for less than a year. We have to use an oven thermometer at all times to get to the right temperature.

After another service appointment to address the issue, the technician told us it was properly calibrated and that nothing was wrong, as the warranty states that a 10% percent inaccuracy is within the expected range.

Since then, we’ve seen temperature differences well outside of the 10% range. We needed the oven at 425°F and had to set it to 500°F (the maximum oven temp) to achieve that result! I’m not sure how that’s acceptable to them, but it certainly isn’t for us.

Other than that it works fine, so I’ll give it three stars, but the temperature inaccuracy is very difficult.

Over the years I had had mixed feelings about my Frigidaire appliances and have recently been switching to other brands. When my wall oven died, I wanted to upgrade to a 30” double wall oven and just do away with my microwave.

The space I have would accommodate it with some modification. However, finding any double wall ovens right now is impossible. After a few months of searching and waiting I resigned myself to keeping a 27” single wall oven….

I’m SO GLAD WE MADE THAT DECISION! the new 27” wall oven has about 2” more interior space with the same profile – I can fit my favorite roasting pan in the oven again! It also has more features than I could have ever imagined.

Telescoping racks, settings of all manner and time, air fryer (?!) and solid performance, which is most important for me. The oven works so well that we are cooking more. Even heating and the option for total convection is fantastic.

All of this for under $2k is amazing. Lastly, the stainless steel really is finger print resistant – which I have often found disappointing in other appliances. This oven has put Frigidaire right back at the top of my list for kitchen appliances.

We have had the Frigidaire 27″ wall oven for a month, after waiting 5 mo the for it to come in at out local appliance center. It’s a fabulous product! I’ve used several of the oven modes with great results.

last night I made salmon in the sous vide mode & it was great! The oven has a strong fan that vents i to the room and can get the kitchen hot, but we turn on our cooktop vent to pull the warm air. I really love it! The size is perfect for my small kitchen.

Installing wasnt difficult because my husband is comfortable working with electricity and the demenions we perfect for our oven hole. Having an electrician install is recommended. We have a Frigidaire Gallery induction cook top for 3 years and it was a game changer! It really changes heat setting rapidly.

That too is a terrific product!! I’ll be looking at Frigidaire when we replace our refrigerator next.

I previously had a Frigidaire oven that was wonderful, but the door hinge broke and I was told a replacement was not available, so I took the step-up to one with steam bake and air fry. It all seems to work, however the accessories necessary to accommodate those settings were not included.

On top of the extra you pay over the cost of a basic Frigidaire Gallery electric oven, you have to buy “accessories” that really should simply be included since they are an essential part of the oven setting.

After reading many other reviews I see most purchasers of this oven agree. I realize the installation wasn’t your fault, but Lowes uses a middleman who then goes to installers. The middleman went to two installers, waited a week for a reply from each, before finding one that would finally follow through.

I would have saved weeks and dollars if I had been allowed to use my own installer.

We’re writing this complaint to notify prospective appliance buyers of potential issues with any KitchenAid appliance. We purchased a KitchenAid Built-In Wall Oven Microwave Combination from Lowe’s for almost $4,500 with installation.

We selected a KitchenAid because we believed it would be more reliable than any other brand out there. We almost immediately began experiencing issues with the microwave as it was not properly popping microwave popcorn and not properly melting or softening butter and other food items.

We also had several occurrences where the oven turned off while we were using the oven. We attributed these issues to us not being thoroughly familiar with the technology of the appliance and hitting wrong buttons or not properly using features.

This changed when in the 14th month, the appliance began to display error codes, make continuous beeping sounds, turn off in the middle of operation, attempt to turn the oven on while using the microwave, and randomly turn the oven light on and off while using the microwave.

Over a 3. 5 month period, 3 different service technicians visited our home a total of 8 times, replaced the User Interface Touch Control System 3 times, Main Controller 2 times, Appliance Controller once, and the Interlocking Harness (Switches) once, and called KitchenAid Techline for assistance, all to no avail.

We are still experiencing issues to this day that require us to shut off power to the appliance at the breaker to “reset” the appliance, just to even attempt to use it. When the final technician inspected the appliance and called KitchenAid Techline, Techline said there are no other actions that can be taken to repair the appliance.

Then the technician called KitchenAid customer support to see what other action can be taken. KitchenAid customer support stated that the appliance is out of warranty and they will take no further action regarding repairs, replacement, or compensation.

According to the KitchenAid Limited Warranty, the solid state touch control system is covered under warranty through the fifth year. Ultimately, we’re left with a 1. 5-year-old appliance we paid almost $4,500 installed that doesn’t reliably work and requires us to “reset” it often to even use it and that the malfunctions cannot and will not be fixed.

Any which way you look at this situation, it is unacceptable. The appliance is a lemon. Sad part about this story is that we didn’t learn our lesson from failures we had with other appliances made by Whirlpool (This KitchenAid oven was made by Whirlpool).

We had a Kenmore dishwasher made by Whirlpool leak in our house causing over $30,000 in damage. We had a Whirpool refrigerator that leaked and cause damage to our house within the first year, had 3 repairs and still had issues until the day we replaced it.

I would strongly recommend you do not purchase any product made by Whirlpool which include KitchenAid, Maytag, JennAir, and Amana. Problem is that every manufacture is unacceptable. Over the last 15 years, the only appliance that we have kept for more than 5 years and have not had any issues, is a Miele dishwasher that we purchased after the Whirpool one caused the over $30,000 in damage.

Problem with Miele is they are very expensive. Every other brand is worthless, even the high-end stuff. My advice, buy a lower end model from a basic brand, like Frigidaire or GE, that way when you have to replace it in 1, 3, or 5 years, you’ll be mad but not as mad if you purchased a top of the line or high-end model.

We had to once again buy a new frig and based on our experiences with this KitchenAid, we purchased a bottom of the line GE. If it breaks, I won’t be as upset. The prices of appliances continue to go up but their life expectancy continues to go down.

Talking to tech reps, it is clear the manufactures design appliances to last a max of 3 years. Gone are the days of having an appliance for 20 years. Still cannot understand why us consumers continue to spend more money on substandard products.

I don’t think I’m the only person that doesn’t want to replace appliances every 3 years or less. Can’t say it enough, spare yourself the heartache and pain, and don’t by any Whirlpool products.

I bought this in late 2020 and had it installed in 2021 due to everything in short supply. The kitchen wasn’t ready to be installed. This oven had a delay of 6 months until it could finally be installed.

A couple of months after install, the microwave started throwing errors. I spent countless hours with Whirlpool and the local contracted warranty company to setup multiple appointments. After 2 different appointments where the technician replaced basically all the internals, it still didn’t work.

They ended up sending a new unit to replace the defective one. This second unit was installed in March 2022 and now in September 2022, another error pops up. I spent hours on the phone with the local warranty company and Whirlpool and both pointing to each other.

It finally got resolved but after hours on the phone. Whirlpool couldn’t tell me why the error happened but just reset the circuit breaker. Not even two years into a very expensive product and I have to deal with all these issues.

Stay away from this as you might experience lots of headaches. My original unit lasted 20 years and no issues at all. The worse part is Whirlpool can’t tell me why and I wanted to escalate but they said I can’t because they resolved an issue that they didn’t know how it started.

If I could give a Zero star, I would. Buyer beware!.

We purchased this unit as an upgrade from the builder in our new house. The unit cannot hold temperature enough to properly bake (wide temperature swings) and you must open the drawers/doors both above and below the unit when using it as the high temperatures outside the unit melted the items stored there.

We had Kitchen Aid’s warranty folks to our home and they told us that these units are trash and should never be purchased?!? While at our home, Kitchen Aid’s warranty person went so far to suggest several competing brands as better quality choices.

After the warranty person’s visit, Kitchen Aid’s customer service representative told us that it was too bad we weren’t happy with the unit but they couldn’t do anything because the wide temperature swings we were experiencing along with the high external temperatures were indeed “within Kitchen Aid’s specifications” and as such, there is nothing to be done (we wonder if when our house burns down if that position will change???).

The customer service representative flat out told us that we had to live with the unit as is. Well, we do not have to live with it and we are tearing it out and replacing it with one of the units recommended by Kitchen Aid’s own warranty person.

While we are at it, we are tearing out the Kitchen Aid cooktop and dishwasher and replacing them with competing brands as well.

I bought these (two of them) about a month ago, but we’re upgrading this house all over and havent moved in yet! So, other than testing them to see if they work, we havent used them. But you kept emailing me to review or I would run out of time.

they look great installed in our Island, one right and one left of the cooktop. Changed door on one so it opens to the right (right side), while the other on opens to the left (left side). Nice effect.

Love the side opening doors. Notice when we test ran them that a fan runs continuously and it is loud. Read that before we bought and assumed it was a picky person, but it was not! The fan is actually innapropriately loud.

I was disappointed for my wife, but she said “I’ll get used to it”. But that’s not the problem. You know how you cant hear anyone talking to you when your running the faucet in the sink? Now she wont be able to hear in the kitchen while running the oven.

And with the ability today to muffle/conceal such noises there is really no excuse for these loud ovens. The rest is too soon to tell, as we dont even have counter top installed for our new kitchen cabinets and have not used the ovens.

One more thing. Read another review that said the door hinge is not heavy enough and you have to lift up on door and push firmly to get it to latch. So that reviewer figured it would get worse with use.

In my opinion this is 100% correct. Because of lightweight hinges the doors dropped a little when you open and wont swing closed of you push them and let go. You have to hold them all the way and guide them and push firmly to close.

But I tightened up the hinge screws as much as possible and they now do not drop down. still harder to close than a regular downward opening door, bcuz they have to latch. If they does not get worn out with time.

it’s a minor issue. Side swinging doors have to latch (I guess), whereas regular down/up doors seem to spring shut. Our microwave side swinging door is the same way. you have to guide it closed. Oh, you can slam the microwave shut and same with these ovens, but this might be bad on the latch over time, so I never do this.

Purchased/installed six months ago and so far, very satisfied with my purchase. I tend to shop very extensively for big purchases so tried to compare all available brands/models, looking for quality, reliability and value.

Obviously can’t always depend on reviews, either fake or a one-time good/bad experience but based on less than stellar experience with other brands, and what I could find about Frigidaire’s reliability and reputation and comments on this specific model, I eventually chose this one and so far very happy.

My wife does the cooking and baking. We hosted family Christmas and she made a perfect turkey and was very happy with the built-in meat thermometer– the turkey was perfect, while she made other sides in the other oven.

She is a frequent baker of cakes, cookies, brownies and rolls/bread and is very happy with this oven. She had not previously used convection so is experimenting with it (and temp variation), thus sometimes uses it and sometimes conventional, but is happy and no complaints about either method.

The features of easy roll rack, no heat element at bottom, meat thermo and convection, (possibly I’m forgetting some) were among the reasons for this model and brand. I believe I first narrowed my selection to Frigidaire based on my best effort to compare available manufacturers.

And then I selected this model vs. a lower priced model, deciding that the features were useful and hoping that it might also indicate some other value/quality vs. the lower priced models. Six months in, we find it easy to use, clean and looks great in our kitchen.

Since loud fans were often mentioned in some reviews, I’ll call out this is NOT a loud fan and is much quieter than our previous whirlpool model of same dimensions (much older but its noise never changed from when we bought it and was not excessive).

This one can’t really be heard outside of kitchen and even within kitchen is only noticeable as “existing” but not loud or disturbing. Can’t hear it from adjoining rooms. I’ve cleaned the outside with no issues.

I think the touch pad controls show some marks but I expect that is likely true of any touch device (and based on reviews I read, that includes “smudge free” models). Overall we are VERY satisfied with this purchase and unless something happens in months or years to come, I will congratulate myself for shopping very carefully and picking a good one.

For the first six week, I thought the over was great, until I tried to bake at 450 degrees and then all heck broke loose. Using my K probe thermocoulple oven never got about 350 then starting dropping.

Also the oven would not let me set an internal temperature using the provided probe. Yes I rebooted. Repair person arrived told me it was the “motherboard” which had to be ordered. Wrong parts arrived technician tried to correct the issue had to order the correct parts.

Time will tell. Would not recommend oven.

But we used to like our old JennAire until it started to give us problems by not holding its temperature level. Hopefully, this Frigidaire keeps on working well. Especially impressed by the air-fryer option, even though I haven’t used it yet.

It should be pointed out that the fabric gasket/seal on the top door was not connected to the oven opening. But the excellent service department at Dewey’s San Clemente sent a technician to fix the problem quickly.

Love this oven. It’s awesome for baking muffins and brownies or meats! I can even roast, steam, or air fry my veggies. Very versatile and worth the wait for delivery!

After using this oven for about 9 months, I have no problems to report. It works well and has a sleek, modern look. The standard oven mode is ideal; everything we have cooked has come out perfectly done.

We have tried the convection mode a few times and, so far, we are not sold on it and prefer the conventional mode. The oven racks are good; we really like the ones on bearings which easily retract. The lighting inside the oven is exceptionally bright, with very good visibility.

The only complaints we have are minor ones, but are listed here: • The oven lamps get exceptionally hot, and quickly. With the oven cool and the door open, a plastic item leaning against one of the lamps began to melt after only a few minutes.

• The controls for our previous double wall oven were placed vertically—with the controls for the top oven located above the controls for the bottom oven. The controls for this one are placed side-by-side instead, which is much less intuitive.

We must exercise extra care when setting the oven to make sure we select the correct one. We mistakenly set the temperature for the wrong oven one time and did not realize it until after the preheat beep happened and we opened the oven expecting it to be hot and it wasn’t.

• The oven cooldown logic is wonky. The fan gets louder if you open the door (to aid cooldown) and gets quiet again if you close the door. If you don’t close the door, the loud cooldown fan will never stop even after the oven is cold.

• When the timer expires, if you don’t acknowledge it, it will beep every 10 seconds or so. I would prefer it to be more like every 30-60 seconds. The 10-second beep gets very irritating when you are not able to get to the oven immediately.

I had a Viking oven for 15 years that unfortunately had to be replaced. Decided I didn’t need a Viking again and it was suggested I get the kitchen aid. I’ve had problems since the day I got it. None of my food cooked the same way.

The oven temperature never felt hot and I had them come and recalibrate it after having placed my own thermometers in the oven and saw that it always ran at least 50 degrees less than it was set for.

Oven fan stayed on for hours upon hours after using the oven. Ok that was the easy part of my experience with this oven. One day the lights in the oven would not turn off even though we didn’t turn them on.

And then the ovens stopped heating up. Waiting two weeks for an authorized kitchen aid repair person to come and say that he doesn’t know what’s wrong but possibly the oven isn’t heating up because the oven thinks the doors are open.

Was told that the whole control board of a five month old oven would need to be replaced. Called the company to inquire about the part as it is COVID and there are shortages. Got no response. But was told they would come back in two weeks to do the repair.

I asked what happens when the part doesn’t come in. No response. Called kitchen aid directly and was told that what they do when there is no ETA for the part is to take it straight off the new oven factory line.

Well as you can imagine, the part never came and I see on kitchen aid website that the oven is out of stock so I’m not sure which kitchen aid factory line they were possibly taking it from. Kept calling the appliance company that purchased it for me and they kept saying we are waiting for a response from kitchen aid to get the oven replaced or a credit for the oven.

They said that kitchen aid has almost a month to respond. At that point it would be close to theee months without an oven Finally had my husband call and thanks to his persistence and no thanks to kitchen aid or the appliance company that I purchased it from they are allegedly picking up the oven and reimbursing me.

Now I have no idea how I am getting w new oven during the times we are currently living in. And need to figure out how to get reimbursed for the extended warranty that I purchased for an oven I will no longer have.

I have no confidence in kitchen aid nor would I purchase a kitchen aid product again.

I had this oven installed last week. What a nightmare! I called Whirlpool/KitchenAid to double check what cut out dimension my new oven would need compared to the KitchenAid model it was replacing. The expert that I finally was put in touch with Told me I would only need a half inch more in height and that the width was the same as my old oven.

So I hired someone to cut out the half inch and paid them $150 Which I felt was fair to make a trip out and do the work. I did this because the people at Best Buy told me that the installers would not do any cutting but would only install the oven and if it wasn’t ready to go they would just leave the oven and I would have to reschedule the installation.

Well when the installers from Best Buy Came they measured and told me I needed another quarter inch in the width. I explain to them that I had checked with the factory and on all the specifications that came with the oven it specified 30 inches and not 30 1/4 which he claimed he had to do.

He was actually right and said he had to charge me $65 to do the cut to make it wider which took him about five minutes. I didn’t need the extra height which the factory rep told me but I needed an extra quarter inch on the width so I had to pay $150 for something I didn’t need and Best Buy doesn’t even know what their installers are capable or willing to do.

Very frustrated that a major appliance manufacturer doesn’t know the actual cut out dimensions for their products. On the bright side so far we love the oven.

Ordered November 2021 but did not receive till February 2022. OK – Covid messed with everything. Could not get top door to stop hitting side. Both door alignments were worse than a Yugo. Finally tried swapping lower door with top and got a better fit and alignment.

Logo is now on top door but that is minor. Finally ready to power it up to clear manufacturing oils and smells. Bottom oven first, went well but set off every smoke alarm in the house. That was expected though not to that degree.

After house cleared up, we powered on the top oven and was met with an immediate POP. Top oven started to heat up but no convection motor function to circulate the hot air. Shut it down for fear of overheating it or doing more damage.

Pulled unit back out and back cover off to inspect. Found convector motor wire was not connected and was shorted to ground. Pulled top cover and control board has smoke and arc damage due to the motor wire being shorted to ground.

Service has been called but control board has to be ordered. Going on two weeks and still unable to use oven. Disappointed in the overall quality of the manufacturing of this unit. Future remains to be seen once it is working correctly.

After 25 years of loving our KitchenAid wall ovens, we, of course, chose KitchenAid again when we needed to replace these ovens one month ago. However, there appears to be a problem with the oven liners (the racks do not properly slide, especially at the level where the lights are); this makes it difficult to use the ovens and we cannot properly bake because it is difficult to use the racks especially at certain levels.

Four weeks after the ovens were installed, the problem is still unresolved. The customer service representative in the store where we purchased the ovens has essentially abandoned us, passing us to the particular appliance service business (apparently required under warrantee), who say they cannot replace the ovens due to protocols required by KitchenAid; new racks have to be ordered and tried before anything else can be done, even though we have four racks, all of which perform the same.

Now we are told that it will be weeks until the racks are available because they are back-ordered. Two or more months until problems regarding expensive new ovens can be resolved? Not good.

Just got the oven installed last week. So far we have used almost every function, convection roast for a whole chicken, convection for meat, and bake for cookies. We have no complaints other than the built-in timer alarm is too quiet to hear if you’re sitting in the other room and it only beeps once.

I would recommend setting on timer on your phone if you’re not going to be in the kitchen while something is baking in the oven. ALso, it was very expensive but it was one of the only ovens on the market that would fit our existing opening.

The old 1990s 24in stove was wider than this unit (even though the inside dimension was same) so we had to add 2 inches to the cabinet in order to mount this oven. Keep that in mind if you have paid for installation.

Pull the old oven out and measure the opening before scheduling install, you may need to hire a carpenter or handyman to modify the existing cabinet.

We recently purchased this double oven to replace our old Whirlpool. We had replaced our glass cooktop about a year ago when our Whirlpool cooktop cracked. We chose Frigidaire for it’s features and price point.

So, with the double oven needing replacement, we decided to go with a matching Frigidaire product. The unit is very attractive, a little more streamlined than the previous Whirlpool model we had and the digital menu is super easy to navigate.

It’s heat distribution is wonderful, especially when compared to our old unit, which had some issues with temperature variation, which made it nearly impossible to be sure when anything was cooked correctly.

While we had to wait several months before we received the unit (what with all the current shortages going on in all products, it seems) we are thrilled with our new unit.

We are so happy with our Frigidaire double oven purchase. Our previous ovens were installed 24 years ago, so the replacement ovens had a narrow space that has no room for horizontal expansion. We’ve had Frigidaire appliances before and they have served us well.

These were the exact size and look beautiful. More importantly, they work perfectly, and both ovens are self-cleaning, convention, and have other options.

Looks beautiful! Heat is consistent! The result of all the meals and deserts I have have been perfect so far. I’ve had it and working hard since it was installed and know the colder weather and winter is coming I will be using it often and consistently now that it’s cool out.

So glad I have a great oven! Great instruction booklet!.

I purchased this Kitchenaid Double Wall Oven from Best Buy in November, 2021 and after 6 months of use noticed foods were not cooking the proper amount of time in the upper oven. I purchased an oven thermometer to place inside of the oven and continued to monitor the temperature for 3 months and the temperature in the oven ranges from 25 to 50 degrees off from the temperature set on the oven control panel.

I have spent 2 weeks making numerous calls to Kitchenaid Service to only be told: 1. They don’t show a repairman in my area and would need to research how to proceed. I provided the name of a local appliance store to sells and services Kitchenaid appliances during the first phone call.

2. I waited one week and returned a call to Kitchenaid and was transferred to 3 different representatives/specialists with no resolution. After 1 hour and 21 minutes on the phone, I was told my ticket “would be escalated to a member of management” and should expect a call very soon.

3. I have now waited 3 days and have heard nothing from Kitchenaid. I am very displeased with how Kitchenaid handles manufacturer’s warranty claims and will be hesitant to purchase appliances from their company in the future.

When you spend $3,600 plus taxes on an appliance, you expect a response and resolution to a problem rather than being put off over and over again with absolutely nothing being done and an appliance that is still not working properly.

The oven is great looking and my wife seems to be happy with its baking performance. That said, there are a few things you might want to know before purchasing. First of all, unlike our previous old GE oven(which made no sound at all unless in self-cleaning), this oven makes a fair amount of noise.

For example, a fairly loud fan runs during pre-heating. Once the oven has reached the baking temperature, that fan seems to stop and a quieter, but still audible, fan will run during the entire baking time and for at least a half hour while the oven cools down afterwards.

Another thing to be aware of is that, again unlike our old oven(which had passive venting), there is a vent at the bottom which blows hot air into the kitchen during and after baking. Last weekend, my wife was baking with both the upper and lower ovens.

The vent emits so much hot air that you can feel the heat on your legs from several feet away. The vent emitted so much hot air that it seemed to heat the whole house up, to the point that the AC ran constantly for the whole rest of the day.

Perhaps this is only an issue during the heat of the summer. In summary, it seems to be a good performing oven for baking, but has a couple of annoying aspects to it.

We proactively replaced our old KitchenAid oven when the oven light stopped working. It was not the bulb or the socket that was the problem, but the control board. The control board for the old oven is no longer made.

So before the oven expired completely, we ordered and installed the same model. The bread proofing feature is important, as hubby bakes our sourdough. I also used the dehydrate feature on the old oven and am sorry it is not included in the new oven, but the proofing should be okay for both purposes.

I wish the new oven had a meat temperature probe. The convection fan seems much louder in the new oven, which is a drawback. I do plan to use the self-cleaning feature, although many blame the control board failures on the high heat during self-cleaning, but I have NO intention of going back to caustic sprays, etc.

I also wish the racks could be left in for the self-cleaning. Might do that anyhow, and replace the racks if they become unsightly.

My wife loves this oven. although with built in’s your limited by the size of the cut-out hole for your home. we wish we could have fit the larger one & we wanted to switch to a gas oven but again couldn’t find any that would fit the cut-out.

My wife loves the bread proofing feature and loves the true convection. I wouldn’t worry about hearing a little tiny bit of fan noise like some people complained about. it’s really not very loud at all & it’s there to get rid of the heat to protect electronic components.

You must make sure you have enough space behind the unit for proper ventilation. I cut out a part of the cabinet to add a heat register & to allow it to breath better. by being able to draw more fresh air in when in use.

Now we won’t worry about using the self-cleaning feature people said caused issues because of the excessive heat generated by it when we need too. KitchenAid told me most issues caused by the self-cleaning heat were actually BECAUSE of incorrect installation.

aka, not enough space around the unit. We love this oven so far. no complaints. glad we bought it. looks great too.

Purchased about 4 years ago. This oven will lock-up every time you use self-cleaning and you need to call for service ! I could get replacement of over-temp fuses twice under warranty, but since then, I have not used self-cleaning ! I understand that the problem is inherent to all wall ovens !? Control panel/progammer is erratic and badly designed/engineered.

Temperature is unstable. Takes forever to reach temperature ( standard oven would normally take 10 minutes to get to 350°F, that one takes 20-30 minutes ).
