20 Best Valve Index Accessories (2022 Updated)

These are exactly as advertised, they pop right on to the hose and replace the bite valves. I was feeling guilty about throwing away a perfectly good bladder and hose, just because the bite valve was leaking, so to just be able to replace parts is awesome! Shipping was fast, and my order came with a free tablet to clean the bladder with.

Broke my bite valve within a month of purchasing my hydration vest. Didn’t need to replace the entire bladder/tube, so this was the perfect solution. Bought 2 two packs to have spares on hand. The bite valve was easy to replace and has worked like a charm, no leaks, no squeaks.

While these work well when first purchased, I was a bit disappointed they didn’t seem to last as long as I hoped. Went through about 4 in about 2. 5 years. Maybe that’s to be expected? Biggest drag for Canadian consumers is not much in-store stock for these, and to buying online, shipping is more than twice the cost of the products.

I have 2 of these amazing tools, one in my pocket at all times and one in reserve should I happen to misplace this beast! Best all around every day tool, comfortable grip, very durable, and so dependable! Being in hvac the schrader bit is a must have and so convenient.

I have purchased this specific screw-driver 3 different times as a gift and for myself twice. I love this tool. But, the tips can be broken if over-torqued. The main shaft can get damaged if used in a powered driver.

If left out to get rusted the retainer in the tips becomes stiff and can allow the tips to fall out. All of these “negatives” are due to my misuse or my poor maintenance. All in all a great tool -.

I’ve used these 11-in-1 screwdrivers with the Schrader valve bit for 5 years and was able to eliminate quite a few tools from my bag and replace them with this single tool. It stays in my pocket all day and is hands down my most used tool during my workday in the HVAC industry.

My wife bought the Joe Blow pump a few years ago, when it wore out and started to let tyres down I threw it it in the bin. Lookong for a replacement I discovered how much she had paid for it origianally and decided to look for spare parts.

Of course I retrieved the pump from the wheelie bin. Having f0und this I fitted it to the pump, and it as efficient as it was when we first bought it. It inflates in a few seconds and to a far higher pressure than you could achieve with an ordinary pump.

Easy to fit it has trnsformed the pump. I have even used it on car tyres. The pump alone is worth buying, beinhg able to source spare parts like this gives you confindence in the product. Great product all round.

The hose/chuck worked great on my 20 year old Joe Blow Floor pump. Well, not really great as the adaptor I need would not fit into the pump fitting because the O-ring was too big. I have an O-ring assortment and for one a little smaller that worked.

Once installed I found that the thru swival shaft shaft on the pump was leaking too, so I replaced those O-rings also. Inflation brought the cost of the replacement hose up to the cost of the pump when I bought it 20 years ago but I am still happy to get it running/working again.

Only the best adapter/hose fitting i have ever had the pleasure to use. It can be fitted to any air supply that has a small bore hose nipple, included in the kit is a Jubilee clip plus pump screw fittings.

The hose length is long which stopps one having to bend while in use. I fitted mine to my compressor pump/gauge device to enable me to inflate my Tubeless MTB tyres. The Topeak adapter holds itself on the Schrad/Presta valve brilliantly and you can inflate to 120psi road tyres without difficulty.

Replacement seals are available too from Topeak. Perhaps Halfords will stock.

I mainly purchased it for a particular problem i had. It does not work on Aluminum wheels! I tried numerous times and destroyed two stems. 3 different lubricants to no avail! Wondering if i was doing something wrong i tried it on a few steel wheels and viola no problem what so ever!.

Worked perfectly! Couldn’t be any easier! I installed the valve stem in about 1 minute. Just make sure to use silicone grease to make it slide down the installation tube easier. Saved me from having to remove the tire, take it to a tire shop.

And I didn’t lose any fluid from the tire as I kept the valve stem at the top during all installation. As easy as, pull the old stem out and push the new one in.

It worked well for me, but I can see damage being done if the installer is not mechanically inclined. Pushing the valve straight down a lubricated tube, takes a bit of timing, proper pressure, aim, and just the right type and quantity of lubrication.

If you have good hand coordination. Worked twice on my garden tractor 10″ wheels, but it was tricky!.

A cap should come included when you buy the hydration pack to keep dirt out of your diet. When your pack is on the ground inevitably so is your bite value. I’ve tried sticking it into pockets of the pack but it always falls out.

So now that we’ve established that you must have this, the biggest issue with it is that it doesn’t have a very tight fit. It won’t fall off by itself, but it comes off pretty easily if it’s pressed against something which is often the case when you throw it on the gear pile or in the trunk.

It dangles on it’s leash when it isn’t on so it can bounce around a little if you are jogging. And it’s bigger then it looks in the picture. Despite it’s shortcomings it’s still the only thing that will fit your osprey valve so I wouldn’t be without it.

because it doesn’t come standard with this product. The absence of a 10 cent plastic cover left sand in my mouth every time I put my pack down on my trip on the North Coast Trail in northern BC. The wolves, bears & whales were awesome, but I cursed your product once every day because you never field tested it, or had some MBA pull you off course from its real world application.

Product brand recognition – as great as your resevoir is, it is the butt of jokes now among serious hikers who have returned to Japan, BC, the arctic, Alaska & the UK. Just try it out next time – think of the consequences before cheaping out on the world you’re trying to make a name for yourself in.

There is a slight, but audible click when I place this onto my valve. I have not experienced any issue with it falling off at all. The best part, is the only time I’ve previously had a leak with my pack was when I set it on the floor when I got home, and someone steps on the valve leaving a puddle on the floor.

Now, since this is a rigid cover, that won’t ever happen again! It’s not necessary, so it doesn’t bother me that I’m charged $6 for adding it to my kit. Now that I have one though, I may buy a couple more for the rest of my Osprey packs.

I’ll just summarize the key parts. Terrible experience. Setup was such a disaster. Every step of the way there was an issue. I was scouring forums and begging (reached out 3 times) for support from Steam.

I still haven’t heard from them and forums got me only so far. It got me to buy and adapter (that steam didn’t indicate was needed) which brought me a step further in the never-ending setup process. Nothing works.

It seems like the headset is of good quality and that’s about it. Wires everywhere and hasn’t worked a second since unboxing. Trash. Unbelievably frustrating setup. ZERO customer service. Please do not buy this product.

Spend your money ANYWHERE else. Throw the $1000 in the toilet – more fun watching the patterns of bills get flushed down instead of pouring it into this product. Awful experience. A headache of biblical proportions.

When it works it’s great. The rest is a huge problem. I had a day one issue that caused intermittent 436 errors. I would open a ticket with steam support only to be strung out for weeks wasting my time and inevitably running out the warranty.

I now have a completely non-functional headset I need to spend 140-600$ to get working again depending on if it’s just the cable or the whole headset. I would avoid all steam hardware purchases. If there support has a call center or a chat based Interfaxe things could change but wasting days and weeks to run through readily available troubleshooting steps is terrible.

The only big downside on the headset is that it’s wired and that there are no fans to keep the screens cool meaning your head gets really hot!.

Absolutely amazing experience! I can’t think of anything negative to say about the Valve Index. We are upgrading from a PSVR setup and the valve index, in my opinion, is a top of the line product. It is well-worth the money spent! Great sound! Great Mic.

Graphics quality is amazing. comfortable. easy to use and setup.

I originally bought a 2018 HTC Vive system which goes through SteamVR and has the 1. 0 lighthouses and standard Vive “wands. ” Upgrading to the Index controllers worked flawlessly, as advertised. Of course you can only use one or the other, but you can switch back and forth during initial pairing as your game choice requires.

The Index controllers are a great, innovative way to get finger-by-finger “tracking” into virtual space. The controllers strap onto your palm, enabling you to open your hand fully with the controller still there, or else just use one or more fingers.

There is a “pad” along the front of the controller that senses the proximity of each finger, and also it has a switch of sorts to indicate when and how hard you are gripping the controller. The good news is that this makes for a very immersive experience in cases where you are doing a lot of interaction with the environment, or in social applications like VRChat where you want maximum expressiveness with your hands – even unintentionally, as it often is the case that somebody will type or drink a glass of water with the controller on, and others can see their fingers move.

These controllers will detect partial closure of fingers, but the movement is not proportional – if you can imagine it this way, 0-100% of hand-opening in-game is achieved by roughly 0-30% of hand-opening on the controller.

This isn’t necessarily bad, but just be aware that it will not match your movements exactly, like some of the pull-type sensors do. Finger tracking will sometimes flake out, with fingers getting stuck together, or sometimes a single finger remaining closed or open.

This is probably due to subtle movement of your hand over time. To some extent this can be fixed by clenching and unclenching your hand or various fingers a few times rapidly, and the controller will usually “figure it out” and make corrections.

It’s nice that it’s this smart, but frankly I would expect a bit more consistency at this price range. A number of people report controller drift or other technical problems after several months. Usually Valve is good about warranty support for such issues, but if you’re purchasing the controllers used, or if the problem comes up after warranty, it could be a concern.

For these reasons I have to say 4/5, but it is a “high 4” I would say. Dropping a few hundred dollars for a couple of glorified joysticks is never a “good value” but people looking for these are likely more concerned about top feature content than they are about value, and the Index controllers definitely deliver a compellingexperience, consistent with what they promise.

Very happy with my purchase. I am pairing them with an HTC Vive Pro 2 and feeling really hooked on VR again. Price is a little steep to get them out to Australia but they are working great and although I have no issues with the Vive Wands, these are definitely an improvement.

They also REALLY shine in some games – namely Blade and Sorcery. Lastly, if you already have Half Life: Alyx you can submit a support ticket over Steam and get the cost of it refunded after you verify proof of purchase.

I have had many VR systems (PCVR and Quest-2). These controllers are the best. Period. It’s nuts that Valve are sold out, but it’s good to have the option to pay (even a premium) for these.

I dont typically write reviews but my experience with this was so bad that i had to write one. One is that its not user friendly and i see people complain about set up but its worth it in theory if it works.

Controller works, sensor works but the headset would always have error 213 amd no display tried trouble shooting everywhere i found and nothing so i gave up and returned it and now im gonna buy a different brand.

Also steam doesnt care to help you through the problems they are more than happy to return their own garbage. Might be time to move away from steam. I think the company doesnt care anymore. Also apparently the issue i have has been on going for a year now with no fix so.

This VR system is insane. Really big fan of the knuckles controllers. It’s hard to wrap your brain around not squeezing the controllers tightly, but then it sinks in and it helps with immersion! The price is definitely high, but that’s economics.

Low supply at the moment. The only draw back I can come up with is learning how to get the HDR to sit on your head comfortably. There is a top strap, back wheel, eye distance, and screen distance control to learn prior to putting it on and off without issue.

It works great and I got it within the estimated time frame! The best part is that even though I bought it third party, it was still under warranty! My dog kind of got it yesterday. but I contacted steam costumer support and they’re fixing it for free!.

Only way I could get these controllers in NZ is from Ebay here. Been wanting the controllers for a year and half so glad to finally get to try them, they’re great!

Best VR Controllers. Hand tracking makes the experience more immersive.

Since my purchase of this tool have only used it on one bike or two wheels while setting them up as tubeless. It made removing and replacing the presta valve core’s fast and easy. Have not used on schrader or to extend presta valves, am assuming it will probably work just as good for those as it did on the presta.

Quality? Not sure, only used it ounce, but will be needing to use it again in a few days to set up SunRingle Charger Pro SL’s 27. 5 and WTB Trail Boss’s tubeless.

Bought this as a replacement after my previous one was robbed, I always buy Park Tool products as their performance is above other brands whose tools seem to be too soft either damaging components or just breaking.

The VC1 efficiently removes the core so I can fit the valve extender to the inner tube on my deep section rimes, also a core removal tool is essential on tubeless as well. I reccomend the VC1.

Specialty tools like this one are definitely worth buying and having if you’re going to be doing your own maintenance. This tool makes sealant installation a super-easy and super-clean job.

When I first started using this product it was a game changer. Unfortunately my baby couldn’t latch as he was tongue tied so expressing was his only way of getting breast milk. I could feed my baby while expressing all at the same time saving almost 30-40 mins every 3 hours.

Following the instructions I chose to microwave sterilise my items. After less than a week the product stopped working and by the time I’d got through to their customer service and tried resolving the issue I’d stopped producing milk and had to move my baby onto formula.

I was absolutely heart broken and Elvie were trying to just keep sending me replacement parts despite me informing them I wasn’t producing milk anymore. Countless times I was told it was my fault for using the microwave despite it stating it was safe to do so.

I followed the instructions so precisely. I think I’d give it a try again with baby number 2 but will definitely be down for debate.

These parts are a must-have to replace original parts that come with your Elvie pump. Over time they wear out and the suction and efficacy of your pump will decrease! It’s not your milk supply—it’s your duck bills! Replace them and you’ll see a difference.

Nice that Elvie offers these parts but the price point is kind of high, so not the best value, but unfortunately no other alternatives exist….

If you pump regularly using Elvie, this is a great investment because it’ll reduce the number of times you need to wash the parts during the day. In addition, since these are pretty small parts, you will have additional ones in case you misplace them.

It comes in its original packaging. It’s totally worth it.

I had to buy this because the one I gave my wife she couldn’t find. I use this to remove the valve core of a non-tpms rubber wheel tire valve. To see the bead of the tire on the wheel you need to take out the core and as you put the air rapidly in the tire it pops the tire full of air seeding it on the bead and then all you do is calmly take your valve core slowly put it down into the tire valve and then take your tool which I bought and snug it up a quarter turn and you’re done because of the rubber seal.

Easy peasy.

Great tool for fixing tire stems; 1. Remove or install tire stem valve assembly, 2. Re-thread inside the stem (where the valve assembly is installed), 3. Re-thread outside of the stem (for the valve stem cap), and 4.

Use the pointed reaming tool (carefully) to clear away debris.

Had a valve stem leaking on front passenger side tire, used this tool to remove old one and replace with new. So simple, even my brother with a short fuse did the job in a matter of minutes. Working great, no more leak.

I have two bikes, a road bike with Presta inner tubes and a Hybrid with Schrader tubes. My road bike has a decent frame pump that has both Presta & Schrader heads but I bring a small USB charged pump in my fanny pack when on my hybrid.

Recently I stopped to help someone change their inner tube on the side of the road and discovered (that in addition to not having tire levers, a patch kit nor any knowledge of how to even take the rear wheel off of the bike) that he didn’t have a pump.

When it came to pumping up the new Presta tube (the one thing he had) my electric pump of course wasn’t compatible. I decided to buy this 2 pack of adapters. Now I keep one attached to my USB pump and the other in my car in case I come across someone who needs air.

These adapters work great. I see several reviews that mention using gas station air pumps. Be very careful (avoid if possible) using gas station air pumps on bicycle tires. Their air volume and pressure can very very quickly blowout your bike tire.

Just consider the huge difference in the volume of a tiny bike tire versus the much larger volume of a car or truck tire; and you’ll get the idea that you are using an Abrams tank to shoot a fly. If you hear a loud bang at a gas station, look around for a bike rider at the air pump.

Spend a few bucks for a good small bike pump that will always be available while you are out biking. These adapters are great if you have to borrow a pump that is Schader; but it is best to be self-sufficient and have what you need for routine biking problems, including tubes, pump, etc.

I’m only just now realizing that Slime products are not quality. When I went with tubeless tires on my mountain bike, the Slime solution didn’t work. No Slime innertube I’ve used has last very long at all.

I bought a few of these inner tubes at once. The first one lasted 3 rides. The second one lasted a ride and a half. The cheap inner tube from the big box store hardly even leaks air between rides. I will never purchase another product from Slime, nor their parent company.

I am 225 lbs, so maybe a lighter person would not have these issues.

These come with no instructions as others had mentioned. It is possible to install these upside down AND the spool type spacers are for support between the head and the adapters. Which seems reasonable but I wish I had recognized that prior to install.

I ended up bending the adapter a little before I caught that. I even called Speedway tech prior to install and they didnt know either! So bottom line its ridiculous these didnt have instructions or a picture of how they install.

I havent noticed any leaks yet but I may have to buy another set. if they do.

I suggest that the center studs be torqued to 70 inch pounds and blue loc tite added at both ends. For the valve cover bolts I suggest using Allen set screws , inserting by hand till you feel them lightly bottom out.

Then holding the set screw and hand torquing the valve cover bolts down to 24 inch pounds or 2 ft pounds. Yes that light and yes I got no leaks using a new good quality valve cover gasket (thick). Make sure to straighten out your valve cover before you install.

Also had to grind down pedestal supports a little bit to clear the arp head bolts. But that was no big deal.

Used this adapter for my Vortec head small block. Works perfect with the Edelbrock cast finned covers. As I am using stainless roller rockers I needed to make clearance on the ribs. Should work ok with stock rockers.

No leaks and looks great. Gives the Vortec centerbolt heads that nostalgic 60s Chevy look.

Finding the correct size cover for my valve box was nearly impossible. None of the big box stores, local hardware stores or lumber yards carried the size that I was needing. The prices were cheap, but all were way to small.

I found one on Amazon, but it was over $10. 00 plus shipping and handling. Amazon stated that one of their suppliers was Sprinkler Warehouse, so I decided to go straight to the source and I’m glad I did.

The price was cheap and the quality was great! There was even a sale, so the cover was less than $2. 00. The shipping was almost three times what the product costs, but it was still cheaper than what Amazon was going to charge me.

Sprinkler Warehouse supplied the exact dimensions of the cover, so I knew exactly what I was getting. The cover was a perfect fit. I will definitely use Sprinkler Warehouse again.

These aren’t available in the stores for some reason. It was the replacements for our original covers. They seem to be of good quality. I got four covers although one had one of the ears broken off on arrival.

Buying a steam controller in 2021 isn’t cheap. Valve no longer makes it and sold out the last of their stock years ago. It’s also not a replacement for a gamepad, although it does work as one. No, it’s actually a replacement for mouse and keyboard! There is a learning curve to it, but once you overcome that it is ideal for things like couch gaming on your PC, or to spare yourself the pain of carpal tunnel.

I bought this new to replace my old steam controller after failing to repair it myself. It is very durable and should last for years, but I already had it for years. If buying it for the first time, buy a used one and be prepared to spend a lot of time getting used to it.

If you don’t want it for emulating a mouse (which is what it is best at) save your money, there are cheaper options. But if you do want it for that, you have to commit to it. Play a wide range of games and spend time in each to master it.

And most importantly, it works best when you create your own custom configuration. There are usually a lot of uploaded configs to give you a starting point, but you’ll find yourself tweaking them to get the best use out of it.

The Steam controller is the only one I’ve ever liked. I didn’t like it at first because it’s a pain to learn how to configure. There are so many options. But now that I know how to set it up, I have zero interest in using any other controller.

I especially like the gyro functionality. It makes playing shooter style games very natural. Is it as precise as a mouse? No. But it’s far superior to regular thumb stick type controllers. My wrists just can’t handle all that time with the mouse so I need a controller to cut back on the strain.

If you just want a plug and play controller that you won’t need to configure or tweak, this is not for you. If you like having a controller with an absurdly complex configuration utility and more options than you will likely ever use, this is definitely for you.

The Steam Link works incredibly well. I usually can’t notice any lag in my setup (Link connected to router by cable; desktop PC connected via 5G Wi-Fi), but once in a blue moon (say, every hour or so) the screen freezes for a few seconds while the host is still running.

Definitely recommended for anyone aiming to game from the couch and willing to accept a 1080p, 60 Hz cap. It came with a handy quick-setup guide, but the procedure is very straightforward and it was running in a minute.

It is also very convenient to be able to get out of Big Picture mode and remotely navigate through my PC, opening apps like Netflix without having to switch my TV input. The Steam Controller is a great tool to bring your Steam library to the living room.

It is an unusual controller, but it was developed to and succeeds in being a device that works for both gamepad-oriented games as well as keyboard-and-mouse ones. The amount of configuration that thing accepts is truly amazing.

It feels well-built and was much heavier than I expected. The trackpads have a weird texture, though, and clicking them feels a bit unnatural. Maybe they’re the one part of the device which doesn’t feel so well-built, which is a shame, considering how important and powerful they are.

Thankfully, haptic feedback and customization options improve the experience. Moreover, it has more buttons than other controllers, which is a big plus, especially for playing keyboard-and-mouse-oriented games.

Overall, a great foray of Valve into this kind of hardware. Newer and better generations of the Steam Controller should come about, but this first one already feels like a good product not only for early-adopters, but the general Steam public.

I ordered a 6. 5 inch diameter cover. I received a 6 inch cover. The product label (on reverse side claims it to be a 7 inch cover. The photo on the MAX website does not match the product that was sent.

The good part is that I received a refund for product and shipping.

Far better choice for deep carbon aero wheels (I’m using with Zipp 808’s) than other extenders, especially Zipp’s own. Relocating the valve core out to the end, as these do, makes for far more accurate inflations (and subsequent pressure measurements).

Works great on my 80mm continental tube. I did put some teflon tape on the threads, as is normally recommended. About 25mm shows above my 90mm wheel so tube is easy to air up now.

I bought a new MTN bike and to my surprise it came with Schrader rims and tubes which is unusual given the industry’s move to Presta rims and valves isn’t new. Only low-end bikes from Walmart or Target usually come with Schraders anymore.

And being I had a stock of Presta-equipped tubes from my previous bike, I decided to try these spacers when I needed to replace a tube rather than buy Schrader-equipped tubes. And they work as advertised.

I don’t have any complaints or regrets in choosing this solution.

It’s a wonderful product, fit well and serves the purpose. Of course it’s better to get the rim w/ smaller hole drilled for Presta, but if you already have the rim drilled for Schrader and this is it.

It’s versatile, allowing better flexibility and good example when riding as a family w/ mixed tubes (Presta and Schrader); and instead packing 2 types of tubes for spare, I just brought one tube and one “Stem Saver” from Wheels MFG.

I ride mostly older lugged steel bikes, by the time I get them the rims have usually been drilled out for schrader valves. These Presta Valve Savers take up that extra space when I go back to presta valves.

I ordered a couple of Stan’s 2oz bottle sealants & a Stan’s No Tubes Core Remover to release the air valve which takes the top off allowing the sealant to pour straight from the battle into the valve.

This was the first time I had attempted this so knowing but could be a messy job I did it in the garden. Anyway, even with a novice like myself, it couldn’t have been easier!! I had the bike on the stand, took off the valve ussibg the core tool, placed the snout of the bottle inside the valve & turned the wheel of the bike so the valve travelled to the lowest point thus emptying the Stan’s sealant directly into the tube.

I squeezed any excess from the bottle into the tube, removed the bottle, replaced the valve, pumped tyres to about 30psi which is adequate, then removed each wheel from the bike, bounced the wheel in a circular motion & let the wheel rest on each side for 10-15 mins before replacing, job done! The little video clip within the details for Stan’s 2oz bottle sealant was spot & as it is direct from You Tube, it should be found easily also.

This a fantastic solution for tightening or loosening a tubeless presta valve. An absolute must if you use a Lezyne style floor pump which screws on your presta valve and can therefore unscrew your valve core when your taking it off.

With this little toy you can snug down the valve core a little without worrying about not being able to extract it later. For a little piece of metal it is a little pricey, but dear God is it worth it.

I really want one for every tool bag and another for the garage. PROS: Good Grip, Versatile, Lightweight, Rugged BEST USES: Mountain Bikes, Bring it With You.

Have used the core remover many, many times since buying it on all my bikes. Live in an area that is very thorn prone so sealant is a must. Had occasional (very minor) issues with grip vs turning force required on new tubes/valves, but they were remedied by using a towel or something similar to get a better grip.
