My husband has a neurological autoimmune disease that has greatly excellerated over the past year. He walks with difficulty and can’t make it for more than about 30 feet. He has little balance and cannot stand for any length of time.

I’m not one to gush but this chair is a godsend. I feel like a weight has been literally taken off our shoulders because his world can open up again and he can safely go almost anywhere. I received the chair less than 48 hours after I bought it.

It came in a box that was very easy to open and best of all, it really does require no assembly beyond the two easy to install footrests. I believe that Medline understands that a person who already has daunting medical issues doesn’t need to be faced with a transport chair that has to be put together like some demented IKEA project.

This chair was designed along the lines of a soccer mom portable canvass chair without the cup holder. It folds up in one movement and can be pushed while it’s folded. It’s Sturdy and strong and pretty comfortable for my husband, who is 6’2″and about 220 pounds.

I am 5’4″and 115 pounds and I can push him along with little effort. I can easily lift it into the back of our Versa hatchback, which would be difficult to impossible for me with a regular wheelchair.

And I love that it’s the color of red wine! That this beauty was only $159 is incredible, especially for something that will actually help give us mobility again. Highly recommend.

It’s VERY lightweight which is a huge blessing! It’s incredibly easy to fold up and easy to push along while folded. It moves along well with my Mom in the chair except going over some thresholds. I’ve learned to pull her through doorways backwards when I see that the threshold is taller, instead of pushing her through frontward and it works so much better.

Other reviews I read before purchasing said the wheels were not very sturdy and some mentioned the front wheels breaking very easily. Pulling the chair over the threshold instead of pushing it through will definitely help with the life of the smaller front wheels.

I bought this one because it has larger back wheels and I’m glad I did. The only thing I worry about is the life of the brake handles. Because they are down on the back wheels, there is a tendency to use your feet to lock & unlock them which could easily bend them so you have to be careful.

If we have a need for another one, I might try the one with the brakes on the handles. Oh, I love how nice the foot rests attach to the sides of the chair and easily pop out and swing around for use! The last thing is that I believe the stats said the chair could hold 300 lbs.

While I’m sure it could hold that amount of weight, I don’t thing it would last very long at all.

The chair (model MDS808210ARE, aluminum w/12″ rear wheels) arrived with the brakes locked. I called customer service and within 15 min received instructions on how to release them: loosen the nut (counter clockwise) above the wheel [see photo].

I took my 5’1″ 130lb 87yr mom to the zoo and then a rock garden. It was great on flat ground at the zoo. She walked for over an hour pushing it herself. It is very maneuverable, going through a revolving gate easily.

The rock garden was another matter. I wish I had read the cautions in the owner’s guide about how to prevent tipping. I wouldn’t have tried taking her down low, uneven rock steps. Even though I was cautious, I quickly realized the wheels might buckle or my mom might lurch out of the chair, pulling it over on top of her.

No chair should go down those steps! But the chair held up. The big rear tires easily go over bumps in the ground. The brakes work great. On a gentle slope, the brake lock held tightly. I wish the foot pedals would lock out of the way so you didn’t have to remove them each time, but for the price, this chair is great.

Just remember the heavier the person, the more cautious you have to be. For light loads and awareness of it’s limits, it’s a good chair.

The ordering process on karmanhealthcare. com was very easy and there was lots of information about the Ergo Flight-19. 8 wheelchair so I could make an informed decision. I liked that I could pay using my Amazon account.

The wheelchair was delivered only 4 business days after I ordered it. I was happily surprised that even though I ordered it at 10:45pm on Monday night, it was shipped about 3 hours later and arrived at 2pm on Friday.

I really like my Ergo Flight wheelchair. It is easy to maneuver and very light. The only thing that I’m still getting used to is that the back wheels are only 20″ and not 22″ like most of the wheelchairs I’ve used in the past.

It is worth the difference though because my husband is very happy with it since he is the one that has to put it into the car when we go places. I’m now able to go places that I could not before.

I needed a chair that I could take with us, but wasn’t too heavy to lift into the car. This was perfect. When I am pushing, the hand brakes are great. Mom ordered a second chair for in the home. She gets around in it far better than her large wheelchair.

Mom is soon to be 96 y/o.

I wasnt sure about spending this much on a wheelchair without physically trying it out first but I am so happy that I purchased a Karman Ergo Flight. Super lightweight and sturdy. I can easily lift it.

This chair has changed my life and mobility. The narrow design makes the chair a lot easier to maneuver when out and about. Its by far the most comfortable chair Ive owned. The only change I would make on future models would be making the wheels/rims larger for manual use but overall it was an excellent purchase that I highly recommend.

Never needed a wheelchair before, so this is my first try at purchasing one. I was looking for a lightweight but sturdy wheelchair to transport my parents from the car to appointments and shopping. Received the chair this week, on time and in perfect condition.

It came fully assembled except for the foot rests that attach over metal pegs for use and can be removed for storage. So far, my mom, who weighs about 125lbs, has used it about 4 times, and she loves it.

(We have not tried it for my father yet) Pros: 1. light weight enough for me to easily put in and take out of my car 2. It folds up easily (with foot rests removed) and fits in the back compartment of my van.

3. Easy to maneuver. 4. Comfortable to sit in for an hour or so (thats the longest its been used so far) 5. Looks nice (cheery blue and green plaid) 6. There are two pockets behind the backrest to carry small items (ie cell phone) 7.

It came with a small bag of tools Cons: 1. When using the brakes they do NOT fully stop the chair from moving. (I used one of the tools to tighten the bolts on the brake levers, that helped, but it still does not completely stop the wheels) I do not recommend parking this with someone in the chair on a slanted surface.

Also, it makes it difficult to hold the chair steady while someone is getting in and out of the chair. I do not recommend if the rider cannot get in or out of the chair mostly on their own. 2. A very small pamphlet came with the wheelchair.

It contains information on how to safely use the chair and it contains a small diagramed picture of the chair. The print is small, so if you use reading glasses you’ll need them. The pamphlet does NOT contain instructions on how to open the chair, how to attach the foot rests, or what to use the tools for that came with it.

I had to use trial and error. Not terrible, but it took about 15-20 minutes to figure out how to open the chair and be confident it was secure and to attach the footrests correctly. I gave a 3 star rating because of the brakes.

If they held completely, I would give it a 5 star. For what we need right now, this chair works.

This transport chair has been a lifesaver in caring for my husband. The wheels lock securely so that he can safely get into and exit the chair. It is narrow enough to fit through doorways to bedroom and bathroom.

It is so light that I can easily handle it -I am a 73 year old woman of 110 lbs. It folds up to fit into a smaller space, and the leg rests are easy to remove. I am pleased with this purchase as it has helped me enormously.

Buying a wheelchair is not a simple task. I researched several different brands and the way they were constructed. The materials used and the actual way they were put together. The comfort for the user and ease of operation are also a primary considerations.

McKessons wheelchair model 146-SSP220DDA-SF definitely met my expectations when making a choice of several brands. The 20 wide seat was also a part of my decision. I purchased this for my 91 year old father-in-law who was having great difficulty walking because of his knees being compromised as well as some breathing issues.

I highly recommend this wheelchair. Quality, comfort and construction are a consideration for my purchase.

This is a metal chair with plastic foot rests. I wish they were metal too, but overall this is a good wheelchair. My only real complaint is that the handrims and rear wheels are not spaced out enough from each other.

This means that when pushing yourself in this chair, your hands (on the handrims) rub against the actual wheel. My were raw after only a couple of days. If the person using the chair is always going to be pushed from behind by someone else, this won’t matter.

Overall construction is sturdy.

The product arrived on time (when scheduled). The packaging material and box were in tact. There was minimal assembly required (unfold and install joystick control and some wires to connect batteries).

The batteries were charged so I was able to operate the unit right away and make sure it worked. It is a little heavy. The instructions suggested not getting it wet, so I am hoping that that is just for the seat cushions because everything else looked sealed up.

Need to find a carrier so we can transport on rack in back of RV.

Took it to the mall today first time I went from one end to the other rode smoothly. Turns on a dime with practice. joystick is very sensitive. Do not increase speed unless you have mastered turning,backing up, and turning in a circle.

A lot of the stores do not accurately space things in order for you to get around takes practice and patients. Again start out slow. Am able to get in and out of our nessian Rogue easily need to push seat forward.

This will take practice on our part. Been ten years since I been to the mall and go around completely. Wish this would have tip wheels in back. Will need to take my time but so far I love it and I say get it if you need to get around.

Seems affordable.

wELL i BOUGHT A E19 SCOOTER NEVER USED IT UNCOMFORTABLE. NOW i HAVE THIS EXPENSIVE WHEELCHAIR THAT HURTS MY SIDES AND THE FOOT REST IS HORRIBLE. wHAT NOW? NOT AJUSTABLE. ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE. i WAS SO HAPPY TO GET IT.

i CANT WALK AND MEDICARE PAYS FOR NOTHING.

Let me start off by saying that I am an Occupational Therapist who works with mostly with geriatrics in the Home Health setting. I’ve seen many, many transport wheelchairs. This is THE most affordable one I found, and since the many, many detailed reviews were 5-star – higher than the more expensive ones – I decided on this one when my own needs arose.

Our medical bills right now are astronomical. So, after extensive reading, despite my skeptcism, I ordered this chair for my 15 year old daughter, who broke her femur and is non weight-bearing on her left leg for a long time.

This was the BEST decision I could have made. She refuses to use a wheelchair at school, but this chair gives her a desperately-needed break at home and elsewhere. I just cannot believe this wheelchair is such an affordable price.

What a blessing for us and for so many others. It is VERY high-quality and perfect for someone that does not need to be able to push themselves around (although they could toodle around using their feet, or even for with just one foot for extremely short distances (e.

g. one room to another next door room inside a house) if non weight-bearing on one leg. Unlike the many other transport chairs that I have seen, the person using it can reach down and lock the brakes themselves because they are on the front side of the rear wheels.

This is SO IMPORTANT for someone who is cognizant to be able to lock their own brakes! Although not shown in the main photo, this chair comes with the back footrest “resting” straps – this is also critical so that patients don’t have to hold their feet in place; they can truly rest them.

It comes ALREADY PUT TOGETHER and includes a tool to adjust the footrest length if need be. It has a seatbelt – something that we don’t need and can easily push aside, but such a nice touch! It has little pedals on the back for the person pushing the cair from the back can push their foot down to help the chair over a bump.

the back folds down for easy storage. There are carrying handles. The back is high enough to support people on the taller side. It is narrow enough to easily fit through standard doorways. Most adults would be able to fit in this chair comfortably because the sides are open, so they don’t press against your thighs if they spill over.

My daughter is 5’6″ and 113, so I knew she would fit easily into this “narrow” chair. (this chair is 17″ wide which is the width of a “narrow” wheelchair. A “standard” wheelchair is 19″ wide. ) However, I am 5’2″ and 175 lbs, so pretty chunky.

It was *slightly* tight to get into at the front, but once seated at the back, it is perfectly comforrtable for me due to no metal sides like you would normally find on a standard wheelchair that would press up against my fat thighs.

This chair is SUCH a blessing. Thank you a million times over, Drive Medical, for making a very high-qaulity transport wheelchair that more people will be able to afford.

Some of the buttons that snap the moving pieces into position were misaligned and would not securely fasten in place. Also the hand brake tension could not be adjusted so that my mother could use them.

She has a great amount of hand/arm weakness, so for the average customer this would not be a problem. Some home workshop filing may have fixed the problems but we decided to return. The return process was easy at the local customer service desk.

The smaller seat size is good if the patient is small, and the chair maneuvers more easily in tight spaces and doorways. The framework is substantial enough to do the job well. Overall a good buy and a very good price.

I needed to purchase a transport chair for my mother and since no one in my immediate family had experience with wheel or transport chairs I had no idea there would be so much to consider when choosing one.

My hours of research led me to the Nova Lightweight Transport Chair because of the features for safety, comfort and overall use that I did not find with other transport chairs. The chair was delivered on time but it seemed larger and heavier than I expected so as disappointed as I was, I put it back in the box with the intention of returning it.

My search for a different transport chair was going no where so I decided to take another look at the NOVA and the next day my mom and I took the chair on what mom called it’s “maiden voyage”. It did not take long before I knew I liked the chair and I knew mom liked it too when she called it the Cadillac of transport chairs.

The chair is solid and easy to use and with a little practice I can easily lift and maneuver the chair in and out of moms Buick Lucern trunk. Even with the armrests and foot plates attached the chair is not that heavy and it fits in the trunk like a glove with them on.

I knew mom had to be comfortable and feel safe in the chair and with the 12″ rear wheels, hand breaks and locking rear wheels I am confident the NOVA is comfortable and safe for both the passenger and the operator.

Mom prefers the arm rests attached so the table height arm rests were something we had to have plus the step tilt bar in the back has come in handy. We’ve used the chair several times since taking it back out of the box a week ago and so far we feel we made the right choice.

If we have more to say about the chair in the future I will revise this review but for now I can say I recommend the NOVA Lightweight Transport Chair with 12″ rear wheels (352B). Pic of transport chair in trunk of Buick Lucern.

Bought this to try out,I watch my partner struggle every time he puts in and takes the big heavy weight verson,without taking the wheels off,in and out the boot with back chairs down. This wheel chair sits on back seat when in the bag,so can have the seats up,so shopping can go into boot instead of piles on wheel chair and in the free spaces.

Its light enough to lift in boot made up and great for shopping or just browsing in shops,still use the larger heavier one for bumpy surface like walking the dog. Im disabled from a stroke all down the right side,have good and bad days but need my partner to do this all for me.

This transit chair has been so helpful while my mother has been traveling. The airlines let us check it and didn’t charge it as an extra bag. It survived the journey without any damage. I had to practice opening and closing it to get the mechanism to work more smoothly and it’s been easy to put in the back seat of the car.

It’s been very helpful at hospitals and in supermarkets – on any floor where it’s very flat and smooth. My mother has been able to use it as a walker when she’s felt up to walking and it’s been easier to maneuver than a walker because the wheels are larger than the walker’s and so move more easily over the cracks in the pavement and then she can sit it in when she’s tiring.

It’s not that comfortable to sit in though if you have to go over door jams or up kerbs. Also my mother is only 100lbs and quite frail so it’s the right size for her though we have to use a good flat memory foam pillow for her to sit on otherwise it’s not comfortable for her.

We tried just a 1. 5″ foam pillow and that didn’t give enough support. As others noted the bag is very tight. If you’re in any hurry or haven’t folded it completely it’s a struggle to fit it in. We’ve used a larger bag which gives us room to keep the foot rests attached and keep our seat pillow with it and a fleece throwfor her legs.

It’s very good value, good quality and with the overnight free delivery was just what we’ve needed. We’re very happy. Thank you.

Lightweight and portable. Easy to lift in and out of the car and comes in a handy carry bag. A few little niggles though. There is no safety belt to hold your loved one in there which is particularly worrying when going up and down kerbs etc and also there is no padding on the seat or backrest, which is probably needed for slightly longer journeys.

However they can be bought separately, which is what I had to do. 10 or 15 for a lapbelt and 10 for a padded cushion for the seat All in all though this is a great transit chair to push round a park etc on a smooth surface.

It is lightweight, has good features such as the lift up arms: the cushion makes it comfortable for the occupant. That said it has several undesirable features. The 8 inch ultra narrow front castors accentuate and create problems from even the slightest of surface imperfections.

The seat is raked for comfort but this puts the centre of gravity in the wrong place – in short, it is not impossible for the occupant to tip this wheelchair over backwards if it is left unattended on relatively modest slopes or ramps.

The light frame flexes. Any tall carer will find the handles far too low. It is a shame that the shortcomings detract from its otherwise excellent specification.

Well made and easy to handle. Major drawback is the very hard tyres. It makes for a bone jarring journey on the average Brutish pavement. Not easy to negotiate kerbs as it is difficult to tip back to raise front tyres.

ALMOST NON-EXISTANT CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE MAKES IT HARD TO GET STARTED AND USE FEATURES. I PICKED IT BECAUSE THE SEAT IS SUPPOSED TO RISE AND I WANTED IT TO HELP ME GET INTO BED, BUT SO FAR I HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO THIS.

Best thing I ever got for myself. I just love the comfort of this chair. It’s very easy to use. I got the white glove treatment and it was worth every penny. Very courteous delivery.

I am a 50 year old, overweight (400lb) male, with no hip requiring mobility assistance when away from the house; especially in the office. I chose this chair because of its weight capacity and distance per charge.

It has surpassed my expectations in these areas. It has also proved to be comfortable both in the seat and with the leg support accessory. Adding the large basket to the rear has only furthered my independence.

Assembly directions were definitely not clear, but managed to get the rollator to open up. Then to store it in the folded position was impossible as it wouldn’t stay folded and would pop open constantly.

Followed the directions but those were not helpful. I finally had to “jeri-rig” it closed with a large velcro fastener. NOT the best option but was the only way. The red knob would NOT tighten into the slot–kept going round and round.

Took off 1 star for that frustration only. Otherwise, it maneuvers well as I push my husband around and is very smooth. I like the large wheels and the ability to switch it from a walker to a push behind chair.

For the money this is pretty nice.

It was definitely money well spent. My ordered arrived in two days and everything was intact. The blue color is gorgeous. I purchased this item for my husband who has difficulty with walking for extended periods of time.

It got to the point where I noticed him withdrawing and not wanting to go anywhere because he couldn’t keep up with the walking pace of the grandchildren and I when out and about. This dual function transport wheelchair walker is a life-saver, especially for walking around in stores and large malls.

When he got tired of pushing it as a walker we just took turns pushing him after easily converting it to a transport wheelchair with the drop down foot rest. It was easy to push and easy to maneuver the wheels down tight store aisles.

I must admit that It did take me a few minutes at first to learn how to break it down to fit in the trunk of my Toyota Corolla, but practice makes perfect. I just needed to shift some things around that were already inside my trunk to make it fit.

It’s similar to breaking down a baby stroller and it weighs about twenty pounds. When you or your love one’s lifestyle starts becoming compromised because of difficulty with walking I would highly recommend that you purchase one because it’s cost efficient because you’re getting both a dual walker & transport wheelchair in one item.

They will be happier and you will be happier too.

The product is good, it serves the purpose. It doesn’t fold up the easiest or greatest like my other drive walker. I am unable to load/unload this one. The compartment under the seat has a handle to use to collapse the walker and it’s not durable.

The company was very prompt to send a replacement. Thank you for being prompt and sending a replacement quickly. I have a feeling this happens often, as it is detachable for a reason. I wish the walker seat was softer.

I have owned this chair for 6 months now, and it is incredibly good. I consider it the best electric wheel chair on the market, dollar for dollar. It takes a bit of learning to maneuver through the house – I still find myself banging into things, although those instances get rarer and rarer.

It is the equal of more of the Hoveround chair, and has a shorter turning radius…and it costs about $1000 less. Great product!.

I’ve been disabled and living my life in a Hoveround for 22 years. When its steering failed, I couldn’t keep it running straight and it twice tried to drive off a steep and high ramp. I’m certain the chair would be destroyed and I seriously hurt.

That same day I purchased this Zipr PC and I am very happy I did! This chair is sturdier, narrower and more customized to meet my needs. The best part is that this chair is safer than and costs $3,000 less than Hoveround.

I highly recommend it.

Great scooter, does everything as advertised. Found the extended distance incredibly valuable. Purchased the Zip’r PC over other scooters due to the longer advertised distance and it does not disappoint! Overall I am very happy about the build quality and product.

Overall very good. I love the max height! I need the footplate to raise up higher. I have very short legs! A smaller footplate that doesn’t stick out so far would be a great option. Chair does not maintain consistent speed.

It slows down when cornering and abruptly speeds up again when the chair straightens out.

I recently ordered a wheelchair that came in black. I ordered black because I wanted black. I received an email from you the next day, asking me to contact you by phone concerning my order. I called you and was told that the black wheelchairs were on backorder and would not be shipped until the end of July.

I could get the wheelchair I ordered if I would take blue instead of black. First of all, why wasn’t I told when I placed my order that the black was not available? If I had wanted blue I would have ordered blue.

I agreed to take the blue so I didn’t have to go back thru reordering something else. Please update your availability of your products on your website.

I love my Vision Sport! It sure makes getting around easier, makes short turns easier, MAKES MY LIFE EASIER. Only thing it needs is a drink holder! Ease of use. Ease of turning. No place to put anything.

I got a “wheelchair back pack” and converted it to work on my Vision Sport, works great. I also found a small “saddle bag” style to go over the arms!.

Bought a used wheelchair from a charity shop which was rather heavy & broke soon afterwards. So we bought this & so glad we did. Very sturdy yet very lightweight. Folds & unfolds so easily, it fits easily into the boot of our car (a Citroen Picasso) So glad we bought this & would definitely recommend to anyone that needs a wheelchair.

I’m very pleased with this wheelchair that I have bought for my elderly mother. It’s lightweight, sturdy, easy to fold and put in the boot of my car on my own. She says is comfortable to be in I think it’s really good value for money.

I think it would be safer to supply with a seatbelt, I purchased one from the local mobility shop for 15. They’re a universal fit I think. It’s enabled her to have a stroll in the park, when her legs are unable to stroll.

Very happy with my purchase.

Bought for elderly Mum whose mobility isnt great. Compact and lightweight to put in the boot for shopping trips, hospital appointments, etc. makes life easier for us and her. Feels quite sturdy and secure for our needs.
