20 Best Vanilla Bean Powder (2022 Updated)

I was excited to try this but when I got it and opened it and gave it a smell, all I could smell was garlic. upon tasting it i did not taste any vanilla, just sweet sugar with a hint of garlic, not sure what happened with this bottle, but I had to get a refund and try another.

I had several other people smell it and they said the same thing. I am hoping the next one I get is vanilla Heavan like everyone is raving about.

My cupcake’s icing was more than delicious because of this Vanilla and my glaze for my pound cake was scrumptious! Thank you Watkins you make the best of everything to make my dishes better than the next!! (love).

Great Flavor and dissolves easily in my coffee and is much more cost effective to have a great cup at home than getting the same taste from an expensive coffee shop. Helps to save me $5. 00 a day (+) so very worth the price!.

Love this ground vanilla. This is our second time buying it. This time we bought one pound to take advantage of the better price. This way we don’t have to be so skimpy with it. We first got interested in ground vanilla because it seemed to be the only way we could be sure we were getting the flavoring with no alcohol.

I have been using vanilla powder for just a short time and I love it! These Madagascar Ground Vanilla Beans have a wonderful smell and it incorporates beautifully in my recipes. Highly recommend! 🙂

Great stuff. If you’re adding it to a liquid, it needs to steep. Also, ideal for homemade chocolates (can’t add alcohol-based vanilla extract or vegetable glycerine-based vanilla “flavoring”, because they make the chocolate seize up)! Would buy again, would recommend.

I’m pretty happy with this. Imparts true vanilla flavor, superior to extracts, etc. It’s a bit expensive, but vanilla is expensive in general, and I think it’s a reasonable value.

Has a rich smell and a more subtle taste than an alcohol extract/but the flavor is definitely there. If I were going to put it in coffee/I would put it in with the ground coffee/not the end product. I bought this to put in fat bombs once I figured out that the alcohol in the extract-type of vanilla was bothering my stomach.

This has a pleasant smell and taste and it pairs well with cocoa powder – like all vanilla/it kicks up its partner flavors to make them richer. I believe I have found my new vanilla with this product.

And there are no nasty alcohol carbs. If you want in-your-face vanilla flavor/you might have to use more of this than you would like; I like the more subtle taste.

I purchased this vanilla with high hopes. It’s a nice powdery consistency that is quite fine and not clumpy. Unfortunately, there is hardly a vanilla scent or taste. I placed this vanilla into honey hoping it will bring out the flavor.

Must wait and see but for roughly $30 a bottle I’m not satisfied with the quality.

Have ordered this many times and use it regularly in baking or cooking items like vanilla cake/vanilla pudding/and ice cream where vanilla bean specks can be seen. The vanilla fragrance in the bottle is easily recognizable.

I’ve always used pure vanilla extract in addition to these vanilla bean specks/so for the exponentially increasing price in the past few months/not sure how much added flavor or benefit for the price this delivers.

Questions seen in photo attached were difficult to answer. This product is not thick or sheer in use. They are tiny/tiny free flowing specks from ground vanilla bean pods.

It’s a great way to flavor whipped cream and frostings without adding the liquid and alcohol of vanilla. Also brings out the flavor of fresh berries with a sprinkle. Almost adds a sweetness with no sugar.

Use it in hot cocoa too.

Adds a rich vanilla flavor to baked items, coffee, etc… Used to use dr. Oekter’s vanilla sugar, but this is much better!

This is the first time I have ever used real vanilla bean products in my kitchen, and they are really really nice. The ground up flecks (they are very moist so it isn’t like a powder, more like crumbles) smell incredible, and they add an intense, rich vanilla flavor that I certainly haven’t replicated anywhere else.

Plus they add the nice little specks of vanilla while being more affordable! This is definitely something I will keep on hand from now on.

I purchased the ground vanilla beans to punch up flavor in my baking. I was delighted with the added pop of delicious vanilla! I also added the ground vanilla beans to my homemade Keto ice cream. The taste and the flecks of vanilla bean made it not only taste gourmet but it looked rich, too! I am very pleased and highly recommend adding this to your spice cabinet.

Compare to the vanilla ground sold by Wilderness Poets this one is better. I’d been taking the former one for years but I started searching for the better one as it’s no longer same as before. This vanilla ground is just what I’m looking for as it has the whole beans, not cheep dry byproducts.

You can tell that by the distinctive aroma and somewhat oily texture. If you want the superior vanilla you need to ground the grade A whole bean as I used to but I’m happy with this quality bean for convenience and economic sense.

When I bought my first jar, I was a bit disappointed that the flavor wasn’t as intensely vanilla as I’d hoped (I wanted to make my plain yogurt taste like “vanilla bean. “) I think I even wrote a less-than-five-star review at that time.

I wanted to write another one now that I’ve been using this vanilla powder for many months. I quickly came to rely on it for anything that I wanted vanilla flavor in, especially yogurt. It’s so much handier than liquid vanilla! Also tastier than the no-alcohol vanilla I tried (weird smell!).

I’m very happy with it now and hope if you try it, you’ll give yourself time to grow accustomed to it. It’s different, if you’re used to liquid vanilla extract, but it’s truly an excellent product.

This is the only place I’ve been able to find available and affordable vanilla powder. I bought it somewhere else in the past but that store is no longer available. It’s very useful in coffee and anywhere you don’t want the alcoholic taste of an extract.

The vanilla powder is delicious with my coffee. My only complaint is the delivery method. The tin canisters were delivered dented (with gaps in the container that were big enough for the powder to come out of).

Despite the tin canisters being wrapped in bubble wrap, there was still a powder mess from the canisters being dented.

When I started my quest for the perfect vanilla little did I know I would never use liquid vanilla again. I chose a couple different kind’s of powder vanilla when I opened the package it was a heavenly smell I really didn’t measure the amount I used in my waffle mix all I know it took my waffles to a whole new level of yummy.

I even sprinkled it on my vanilla Ice-cream. It’s stronger than the liquid which I don’t use anymore my daughter went to the DR and brought me back a bottle of pure vanilla I used it twice but it still doesn’t compare to my ground vanilla.

So go ahead order some from each country TRUST ME YOU WILL NOT USE THE LIQUID VANILLA AGAIN JUST SAYING!!!.

Excellent-I wanted a little flavor to add to coffee or when baking. It’s a little more granular in coffee vrs other vanilla powders, but the flavor is so much better and it’s pure! Love it

It mixed well with sugar I was adding it to. No settling.Good vanilla flavor. Will order again this week.

My favorite is the Chocolate Truffle but have ordered the Vanilla for a variation. I highly recommend this product and flavor to anyone wanting to supplement their dietary needs. It makes a great tasting fruit and vegetable smoothy with the right combination or both.

The only two things I would change about these products is the packaging: 1. STOP sending the plastic scoops and print on the packaging the suggested serving size of 1/3 cup. I detest the single use waste of plastics that end up in the landfill.

Plus static causes the powder to stick to the scoop! 2. STOP using the current plastic bag and go to a heavy duty paper container. The protein powder is so fine that it actually sticks to the inside of the plastic bag.

When opening the ziplock top powder billows out and it is difficult to close when powder gets in the ziplock grooves. When I receive my bag I immediately open it and pour it into a wide mouth glass container and discard the plastic bag and scoop.

PLEASE at least give me the option of ordering a bag without the scoop.

Honestly, it truly is the best tasting protein powder. It is the only one that doesn’t cause gas or bloating and tastes amazing. Blends easily, creamy and very tasty. Not gritty like other protein powders.

So, I am a Vitamin Manager and I sample all the protein powders out there. This is THE only one that never gets returned (a common problem) and people get hooked on it. I kid you not! Yes I do buy most of my products from Vitacost because they have better prices than I can get at work.

I have been a loyal customers for years, so this is not fluff n’ stuff. Try this protein powder — you will not regret it.

I have never tried protein powders, until Dec. 2021. My daughter was visiting, and purchased the Chocolate Truffle. We made several great smoothies. Since then, I purchased the Vanilla Bean, and decided to add it to my morning oatmeal.

I put 3/4 scoop of the Vanilla Bean in oatmeal every morning, along with some raisins, toasted sliced almonds, ground flax/chia blend and a dash of cinnamon. DELISH!. I really find it hard to skip. I pack up these items when going on vacation.

Note, I microwave the oats and almond milk for 2 1/2 minutes. Then I blend in the protein powder, using a fork. It does take 30-40 seconds to blend, but so worth it. Then I add the remaining items.

Excellent vanilla powder. According to Nielsen-Massey, each bottle hand filled. Of two bottles ordered recently, only one had a completely intact “safety seal”. I didn’t send it back, but let Nielsen-Massey know there was a problem and they made my purchase good (replaced the powder).

Used to buy this product all the time to add some vanilla flavor to coffee, hot chocolate drinks and baking. It’s been hard to find for the past few years and the price has doubled so I will be using it sparingly.

Since it’s a very fine powder it would help if the holes in the cap were a bit smaller for better control.

I Can’t leave a Review because I received Vanilla Paste instead of the powder. I’ll let you know when I get the correct product, and how long it took to make this situation right. taldepot customer gets 1 star, I have no opinion yet on the product but it looks like it is exactly what I am looking for.

I can’t believe they sent me an E-mail asking for a review, before Customer service has responded to correct their error. At this point I will never order from taldepot again and will not be recommending them to my friends or customers.

I have been using the powder for about four years. Very strong taste- lots of flavor notes. It is expensive but a little goes a long way and it is completely worth it when you keep the difference to your baking and cooking.

I wanted Organic Tahitian Vanilla powder I received Organic,I guess? Traditional which was not that good Do you have any Organic TAHITIAN Vanilla powder? Not impressed with price quality or substitution.

I like to save money by making my own gourmet coffee drinks at home. That includes making my own cocoa powder. It never tasted quite as good as the mochas that Starbucks makes, until I purchased some Starbucks mocha powder and noticed that it contained vanilla powder.

I was happy to find real vanilla powder (not artificially flavored) on this site. It puts the “something special” into my morning mocha!.

This is my first time using vanilla powder, but for my purposes it seems to work great. I’ve been using it to make powdered vanilla creamer for coffee and matcha tea lattes. It seems to give a good amount of vanilla flavor, although I do have to use a fair amount to get the flavor to come through.

I use about 2 tablespoons per 3 Cup batch of creamer.

I tried Ascent Plant Protein. It was easy to mix and tastes great. Simple go to when you’re needing a little extra protein fast. I told my family about it and they all seem interested. The taste was amazing.

it’s great as a mix in to water soy milk or any other beverages. It’s clean. It’s added support to your regular routine. Amino acids and vitamins. I think it would be great to help with a work out. Or just if extra protein is needed in your diet.

It helps support muscle recovery. It’s smooth and not chalky at all. Organic and all around fantastic in my opinion. Ive told everyone I know about it and that they should give it a try. It would make for a great add in in your smoothie as well.

The “unflavored” protein is my absolute favorite simply because it truly is. unflavored. That fact makes it versatile so I’m able to add protein to all kinds of foods and drinks without altering the taste of other ingredients (coffee, smoothies, etc).

The consistency is great and it breaks down smoothly into foods/drinks which also helps without hugely altering the texture. I’m not a fan of sugary-tasting proteins or dessert flavors. I’d rather go the route of being able to add protein to my diet without having the protein dictate the taste.

Not sure where people say this tastes nasty but the vanilla and cappuccino taste fabulous. I’m a person that has IBD and no issues at all with this brand. The best way to describe the vanilla taste is comparison to a vanilla milkshake from McDonald’s.

It doesn’t taste fake and is not gritty. I mix mine with unsweetened almond milk. The cappuccino flavor tastes like an iced cappuccino. Same thing not gritty and doesn’t taste like the fake sugar stuff.

On their site you can order some trial packs to try flavors. I highly suggest that.

Ascent protein is top notch. I’ve tried endless amount of protein powders but most have chalky textures, weird tastes, and sometimes cause upset stomachs. I’m so glad I found Ascent – it blends amazingly even with just water (I use oat milk to make it extra creamy), and I’ve never experienced any amount of the powder not dissolving.

Not to mention all flavors are excellent, by far the best I’ve tried. No flavor is overwhelmingly sweet and all taste amazing. It’s more expensive that what you traditionally may be used to for protein, but it’s 100% worth it.

Ive been using this product for some time now and this is my second batch. First time I ordered four. This is really good quality and sadly utterly absent from the shelves of UK stores. So pleased to find it available somewhere and for the reasonable posting times too.

Its very useful but I admit that it mostly gets sprinkled on top of cream on my home vanilla lattes. I only have one at most a day so its a little treat. Tastes great.
