20 Best Vanilla For Baking (2022 Updated)

Terrible! I don’t even know how this product has any good star reviews. Absolutely terrible! It’s like water with a very faint taste of what is supposed to be “vanilla” but doesn’t even taste like that.

It’s almost tasteless. Product comes in plastic bottle. Water consistency. Not even a nice vanilla scent or flavor. Very very faint very light vanilla. Very disappointed. It’s not that expensive for a reason.

Yuck!.

LOVE IT!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!! I grew up in a family that swore by McCormick brand, then a few years ago, the price for McCormick went up and I started looking for a vanilla extract that had the rich, smooth flavor.

then I came across Molina brand and my family, and I refuse to use any other brand. Immediately after opening the bottle, you can smell the vanilla, with a very subtle hint of cinnamon the highlight the vanilla flavor even more.

The BEST and most affordable vanilla extract blend I’ve tried so far. I have been a dedicated McCormick vanilla extract blend fan for nearly two decades, but this blows it right out of the water. Amazing flavor profile.

It gave my pancakes a delicious flavor (1 tablespoon added to the ultimate in pancake recipe for Bisquick pancakes).

I havent used imitation vanilla in years. But now Im financially forced to buy cheaper replacements for the yummy real stuff as I have limited funds. Real vanilla costs more than gold now it seems. In any case, I added some to my gallon of homemade chai tea, wow it destroyed the entire flavor profile.

It was disgusting. I tasted nothing vanilla like but I definitely tasted whatever nasty alcohol they used to create this potion of yuck. I tried a bit straight from the bottle and it had zero vanilla flavor however it tasted like face astringent.

My grandmother used this brand i believe (I know it was imitation) in her baking decades ago and I dont recall it tasting soo gross. I mixed it with my leftover real vanilla in hopes that it would make it taste better, but nope.

It just ruined my real vanilla.

This is a decent vanilla essence for baking. ATK taste-testers picked this one over more pricey bands. I put some in my brewed coffee before I turn it on and it gives a great taste to your morning coffee.

Also used in baked goods, however, I do not taste much vanilla when I do. Add more for a more pronounce taste of vanillin, it is work the price.

I have been using Baker’s Immitation Vanilla Flavor for as long as I can remember for my baking needs. I have never had an issue with the brand or flavor. My deserts have been delicous and the vanilla flavor has always shown through.

This Christmas my husband always makes fudge and I make the cookies. He will refuse to use my Baker’s Imitation Vanilla. All that he will use is natural vanilla. This year we totally spaced his vanilla but picked up my favorite the Baker’s brand.

Since he made his fudge at last minute he had to use my Baker’s. He had more compliments this year than he has ever had prior. People have asked for the receipe and asked why he hasn’t been making this receipe the entire time.

I know that Baker’s is Imitation but it works and will give you the flavor you need-I finally have my husband hooked. No more vanilla conflict in this home-I can now honestly say “Baker’s Imitation Vanilla Flavor is the only that we use in our home!â€.

Great real vanilla. Wonderful to add that special flavor to your sweet baking treats and some much more. Love it. Great lasting flavor.

I do a lot of baking at home from breads and granola to cookies and waffles and I go through a lot of vanilla. I tried this one given it’s good reviews and the price but the comparison of this vanilla to the last batch of safe, Mexican vanilla that I had was night and day.

The previous vanilla I had was brown but crisp and clear whereas this is cloudy looking and not appealing. For someone less concerned about quality, this is probably fine but vanilla shouldn’t be cloudy given the ingredients.

so that makes me very suspicious of what is actually in this! While most vanilla has an alcohol base, they still smell pleasant. I find this to smell more like disinfectant than something I want to add to my recipes.

I’m a inspired cake decorator and I frequently have to make vanilla flavored treats and I use this every time! I recommend the “Oils” because they’re stronger than the other vanilla flavors I have tried before.

I absolutely positively love love love this extract. I am a huge fan of vanilla bean. With this extract its just the same as using an actual vanilla bean. It lasts forever because you don’t have to use as much of it.

If you love to bake I would highly recommend it.

I purchased this after purchasing Market Pantry imitation vanilla, which was so watered down we could not taste it in recipes. I did not have high expectations, but as my children enjoy baking and experimenting in the kitchen, I was looking for a budget-friendly option for vanilla with a good flavor.

Molina smells great, bakes up great and lends a lovely vanilla flavor to baked goods. Curious, I added a teaspoon to 1 cup of milk and a scoop of whey protein powder (flavorless, just plain whey powder).

The resulting taste was exactly like vanilla-flavored protein shake/powder products, if you like that sort of thing. I was pleasantly surprised by this product, which I’d long overlooked, while buying the pricey “real” stuff.

The title and description is misleading – nowhere does it say that it is imitation vanilla. The only way you would know is to enlarge the picture (it says artificial really small) or when it gets delivered.

I needed to make a lot of white frosting for Easter baking. I originally purchased a small bottle at Joanns of the clear vanilla. I was running low and so I got this larger bottle to help get me through all my baking.

I was pretty surprised and disappointed when I went to add this vanilla to my white frosting and it was brown! It was a very light brown but I was expecting it to be clear like water like the smaller bottle.

Luckily it didn’t tint my icing too much.

I love all pure vanilla extracts, but this is the best one. Most vanillas are made using vodka or a similar alcohol (you can’t get drunk off vanilla extract,) which is good. However, this vanilla is made using bourbon.

This gives the vanilla extract a richer, deeper flavor. I use it in everything, and it is absolutely delicious.

I purchased McCormick All Natural Pure Vanilla Extract; McCormick Gourmet Organic Premium Pure Vanilla Extract and Watkins Pure Vanilla Extract for my own taste test. Without any question; hands down; McCormick Gourmet Organic Premium Pure Vanilla Extract was the winner! It’s flavor was a nicely palatable high quality taste.

It rated #1 in my taste test! Watkins Pure Vanilla Extract rated #2 (second) in my kitchen comparison taste test. due to an overwhelming and intense floral taste that left an alcohol back flavor on my tongue’s palate.

The loser (#3) was McCormick’s All Natural Pure Vanilla Extract due to the blandest; most unremarkable flavor that leaves me with no good impression to consider. It was a cheap 3rd. rate tasting vanilla.

If I think about adding it to my cooking recipes; I think I would be disappointed in the ultimate results. I am very conscientious about my cooking and what I serve my family is important to me.

My brother is a big fan of large quantities of vanilla extract baked into fresh fruit pies and I had nothing else on hand so I bought this. As with most organic McCormick products the quality is worth the cost but as organic products go you can find other similar organic products from Frontier Coop or the Simply Organic brand of purer and more refined taste and potency.

Its also far more cost efficient to make large quantities of vanilla extract at home if you know you are likely to use a lot of it in baking, though it does take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months for homemade vanilla extract to mature to the point of usefulness, the length of time for preparation depending on the proof or percent of alcohol in the base you use, so if you want something right away this McCormick organic vanilla extra is just about the best you can do in terms of low price comparable to quality of organic vanilla extract.

The McCormick vanilla extract has been accepted by those I have baked for but I’d still pick a higher quality from Simply Organic or Frontier Coop if they are reasonably priced and available though they are usually harder to find than McCormick, as McCormick is sold by most mainstream retailers where as the predominantly organic extract distributes are often easier to find in your local health food store or online health food store.

Wonderful product that complimented my cooking and baking. It’s strong enough but not overpowering where it smells artificial. I love using this brand because a little goes a long way that is why this lasts quite a while for me and I get bang for my buck.

Price was great and delivery was before I expected. Now that may not happen everytime but it was in my case ! Vanilla is the best .

They are smoked paprika is the best smelling paprika I have ever smelled I loved using it it made me want to find more of their spices I even posted it to my Facebook page I’ll open the jar just to smell it.

I use Vanilla Extract at least once weekly. I thought I would try something that is not mass marketed in grocery stores, hoping for a higher quality. I ordered a small bottle of this at first. It seriously lasted a few weeks.

This time, I ordered a large bottle. This brand is a staple in my pantry. If you touch a bit to your tongue, alcohol is not the overwhelming flavor of this, it is truly vanilla. Anything I use this for ends up with an intense flavor of whatever I am making.

This is really an extract worth buying in large formats, unless you bake very rarely.

This is my favorite vanilla extract. I’ve tried others that smelled/tasted terrible, and I could taste the the awful flavor in the dishes I used them in. This one is so yummy! And Walmart has the best price!.

This is what we used growing up. It’s a good product but now I find that there are others on the market. I personally prefer vanilla extracts made with bourbon instead of vodka. It adds a full more round flavor that comes out beautifully in baking especially around fall!.

If you bake, this ingredient is a MUST! Growing up my mother and grandmother always wrote “Adam’s Vanilla Extract” on the recipe ingredient list because they really believe in the flavor and quality that it brings to our baked goods! I don’t use anything else and I get compliments on my goodies.

I seriously always tell people how important it is to get the “Adam’s” brand.
