20 Best Vanilla Rooibos Tea (2022 Updated)

I have been drinking Rooibos tea for many years and getting it from Fresh Roasted Coffee. Their quality is very good compared to other distributors. The tea is non caffeinated which I prefer. It has a mild sweetness and slight woodsy aroma.

It is good hot and iced. There is no bitter aftertaste as with regular teas. I have also purchased their Rooibos teas with various blends of flavoring. Some I would purchase again because I liked the blends, others probably not, but that’s a personal choice.

This is the only tea that I like as much as coffee. It is great iced or hot and pairs well with either lemon or milk. It tastes a lot like regular tea but has it’s own delightful flavor. It has unique qualities.

I feel calm and settled and yet energized after drinking it yet is is caffeine free and I have no trouble sleeping even when I enjoy a cup before bed. I researched it’s health benefits and there a lot of them.

This is a special tea and it’s a staple for me.

Many folks seek rooibos as a healthy beverage (whose properties you can explore elsewhere). I like this as a caffeine-free option, and this quality product allows me to add flavors of my choosing. The small particles you’ll find in your cup are typical as rooibos is processed.

Tey’re safe to consume; some claim they have additional health benefits!.

This tea is so delicious I have it after dinner as a treat and is caffeine free so won’t keep you up. The vanilla isn’t overpowering or candy like. With a little cream it’s like a dessert. I’ve also brewed this for iced and it’s wonderful on a hot day.

Loved it so much I ordered a big bag. If you’re trying to avoid sugar, you’ll swear you’re cheating.

This is a very creamy, rich, strong, and complex tasting red tea. The vanilla gives it a rounded, almost toasted flavor but the main note that comes through regardless of steeping time is rooibos itself.

This tea has a very strong vanilla scent making it almost as satisfying as a desert – but without the calories. This is our diet support tea that we take with us traveling and drink a lot at home too.

Rooibos Madagascar tea by Celestial Seasonings is one of the best Rooibos teas I’ve tried. I like that the bags are NOT in little sealed sleeves, that take forever to open. I only drink ice tea so I brew this tea in a coffee pot, 5 Rooibos and 2-3 Lipton black bags.

Black and green tea are very heavy in flouride and I drink quite a bit of tea so I like that this tea tastes like regular black tea and has no flouride. I only throw in the black tea bags to add a smidgeon of caffeine in the mornings.

My only complaint is that Walmart runs out of it frequently :).

Pretty good! I have only tried it black and would like to try it with milk! I like the lion om the pack and it smells so good! I would add strings to the tea bags because it is challenging and irritating to take it out with a fork or spoon.

So flavorful! I am not a tea drinker, but this tea is amazing. I can have it plain, or with milk or with honey. Paired with a shortbread or spice cookie (I particularly enjoy pepernoten) it is a true treat.

I’ve only smelled this tea at this point, but when I did I was instantly transported to a speakeasy; definitely got a jazzy 1920s vibe from this tea. Will undoubtedly make a delicious bubble milk tea! Shipping was super fast and packaging secure.

23 Nov 2021 re-taste review: All ingredients, including two apricot nuggets, were present in my communiTEA packet this time. Peachy aromas were noted. I had 3. 3 grams of tea, enough for a 13 ounce steep.

I steeped at 200F for three minutes to keep woodiness at bay. When hot, mild peach and woody flavors were noted. I added teaspoon of sugar to bring more peach flavors. When warm, moderate peach and woody flavors were noted.

This packet made the cut with all ingredients and tastes present this time, making it a much tastier sip. (4 mins @ 200F, 1/4 tsp sugar) 23 Nov 20 communiTEA review: It didnt look too hopeful in my communiTEA this morning.

I saw plenty of marigold petals and rooibos tea. No peach aromas were noted. I also noted a few apple pieces, but no apricot nuggets. So on we went. When hot, I was presented with a regal deep red colored liquor.

Rooibos woodsy flavors were noted. A mild bitter taste was noted from the marigold. I added a bit of sugar at this point to tame this down. When warm, a pleasantly mild citrus/mint flavor was noted from marigold.

The only fruit favor I ever noted was the apple, and that was extremely mild. This packet was drinkable, but was not as advertised and was missing ingredients. Ill abstain from voting today. (5 mins @ 200F, 1/4 tsp sugar).

Enjoyed this earthy peach tea when the peach flavor became stronger and the taste of woody rooibos became milder. A sweetener add and some cooling of the hot tea encouraged the peach flavor to come forward more while quieting the distinct woody one.

I brewed 2 tsp from my CT packet at 208F for 5 min. In a 12 oz. mug. I added the extra, third tsp from the packet to the resteep. My packet had 3 g/ 3 tsp of red tea, many yellow marigolds, a few apricot and apple pieces which brewed into a dark orange/red colored liquor.

The first hot sip had a strong woody taste but with an agave add, a lovely peach flavor emerged. A milder flavored resteep was my favorite cup. Chilled, the tea had a sweetness of peach flavor with the woody taste still there but a lot more subdued.

This fruity rooibos would be a pleasant occasional sip for me brewed hot and a nice change to my usual iced tea rotation in warmer months. Happy sipping rooibos fans!.

Cinnamon apple scents rose up out of the packet as we opened it. The kettle heated up to 212F to steep this rooibos herbal blend for 5 minutes. A nice cinnamon apple scented and red rooibos tisane was produced.

As we waited for our cups to cool, the cinnamon apple scents continued to waft up enticingly in the steam. Cinnamon and slightly sweet apple flavors were predominantly featured alongside the woody rooibos base.

Oxidized rooibos flavors carried through to the finish, leaving a smooth yet herbal woody taste at the end. Compared to the large 16oz bag, our sample seemed to have less apples. As such, the apple flavors were light yet still present.

However, we knew that full-strength batches of this one had been able to provide much more apple and cinnamon in each sip. Seems like sometimes each sample packet can be a bit misleading when some ingredients are lacking in the scoop.

Adding some blueberry nectar honey brought out the apples a bit more. Overall, this one’s a nice zero-caffeine cinnamon apple option for those chilly fall nights. We’re giving this one a rating based on our previous samplings, which contained plenty of apple pieces.

If less apple pieces are to be seen, It’s worth a try to use a smaller water to tea ratio to get the most flavor out of those apple flavor sponges.

This has become my nightly go to for tea. The flavor is perfect – very tasty but not overly strong. It is a bit sweet but again, not too much. It is almost like a dessert for me without the calories.

The almond essence adds a nice, unusual dimension to this rooibos tea. The almond flavor is well-balanced and not excessive.

So sweat, the subtility of the bevarage creates the perfect and balanced union between vanilla and rooibos. After tasting this product, rooibos will never taste the same again !

Well! I conducted a semi-scientific experiment at home when I saw your survey request in my email. I had saved one Rooibos teabag from another brand and today brewed Equal Exchange and the other brand in matching cups for over 7 minutes.

Transferred the tea into glasses to see the color better. The other brand, a good brand, mind you, is a little more orange and lighter in tone. EE is darker, more reddish tone. I did not plan to sit at my kitchen table and take a serious and lengthy taste test, but that’s what happened.

Rooibos has very subtle flavors. I detected a tiny salty taste in each. A slight and almost fishy taste in the other brand. Surprising! In the EE tea, a lighter, plant taste and definitely not fishy.

Both teas leave a dryness on my tongue after a moment. Rooibos is my main drink all day, besides water. I often add cream to it. It is a versatile tea that can be mixed with other tea, and juice. I choose it because it is so healthy, and because I enjoy it.

The packaging is as important as anything to me. EE packing is 100% recyclable. The other brand has a wrapping with some foil type of material on paper. Supposed to be recyclable. But not in a recycle bin.

And of course, as important as ANYTHING is that your tea is grown by small farmers who benefit through your cooperative. I like buying directly through EE online. It is reasonably priced too. I have also joined your network online, to support farming efforts so seriously challenged in our world.

I find this tea more flavorful than mainstream brands. I did not try specialty/artisan brands however. I like a touch of vanilla. It makes for a delicious delicate in taste and fragrance beverage. I use it for its antioxidant function.

Recommended by a neurologist to protect the brain.

Overall it is honestly the best brand of rooibos (red bush?) tea that I’ve encountered so far. This specific flavour (the vanilla as you can see in the picture) smells like custard and tastes AMAZING 🖤 if you’re looking for a caffeine free sweet bit not sweetened tea this is for you and it works well over ice too!.

I don’t normally use teabags, preferring to use loose tea, but as we were about to take a trip south and spend time in a hotel, I decided to buy the Rooibos teabags to take with us. I rarely like the teabags provided in hotels/motels.

Rooibos is my favourite tea, due to the lack of caffeine and tannin, it tastes great just as it comes, or with a slice of lemon, and sweetened with honey, no milk is needed. This is one tea I can drink hot, warm, or cold, and it makes a very refreshing drink when iced.

I have also found that a cup before bed time helps me to sleep a lot better than if I drink ordinary tea.

Given very poor because I paid far too much for them. Didn’t know the price cos they were for my daughter. Shouldn’t have trusted the price on the web site. Could have got them considerably cheaper at most stores.

Won’t be shopping at Approved Foods again. Over pricing on those cancelled out any saving. T bags themselves are fine.

I am a sucker for fruity and, almost anything really, vanilla when it comes to tea. My husband got me into tea and actually won a recipe contest and came up the Adventurer’s Chai (short-lived and many years ago).

It was cool they did that. Adagio is reasonably priced loose leaf tea that is of great quality.

I loooove Rooibos! It’s such a good caffeine free infusion. My favorite rooibos mixes are the ones I’ve got from Adagio Teas. Good quality and flavor – plus the tin keeps them feeling fresh and the smell stays pure.

I recommend it.

A very smooth herbal tea, it feels more like a traditional tea than your other types of herbals (chamomile, etc). I love a vanilla black tea during the day, and this feels like my day cuppa but without caffeine so I can have it at night before bed.

Also makes a neutral filler if you want a mint or other herbal but feel like you need to “tea” it up a bit.

Very warming rooibos tea – great flavor. One warning – do not steep and serve this in a metal container. It really throws the flavor off, deepening it until its almost unpleasant.

I didn’t get the natural vanilla flavour. I’m not sure if I can drink all the remaining 39 packs.

i was very disappointed with the tea.it appears to be natural flavouring rather than the real thing,and as such doesn’t taste right.in addition i found the ingredients list to be deceiving.

I love Tick Tock Vanilla Chai tea and this is a great deal. The tea is decaffeinated as its base is rooibos. It’s gently spiced and I happily drink it without milk or sugar. It’s also much tastier than other brands I’ve tried like Tetley or Dragonfly.

I highly recommend all Tick Tock’s other flavours too.

Have this in the morning with breakfast. Leave the bag in the mug the whole time, no need to remove really. Tastes really nice (some say it’s like honey) and it’s supposedly really healthy! One of the bags was pretty much empty though which was a disappointment though nothing to complain about really.

Quite a lot more expensive than regular tea but I much prefer this to that.

I am obsessed with this tea and that’s not a statement I thought I’d ever say. It’s got this creaminess from the cacao that feels so soothing and comforting that I find myself craving it if I had a stressful day.

The flavor is so unique, sort of a white chocolate floral but not nearly as sweet as you might think, and the floral is more of something you notice but it’s not the dominant note in the taste. It’s so hard to describe but that’s what makes it so special – it’s truly one of a kind.

It’s pricey at nearly $20 for a canister, and you’re going to want to steep one of their lovely pyramid mesh bags every night, but to me it’s well worth it. I feel calmed and relaxed after a cup of this tea, and I find myself sleeping a bit easier if I have it before bed.

But it won’t make you so drowsy that you can’t enjoy it during the day or even in the morning if you enjoy hot tea with your breakfast. I love it and I just can’t be without it.

This tea is so lovely and unusual. The predominant flavor is of the rooibos tea, with a velvet, chocolatey note which is cacao (apparently the husks are free of caffeine) and a slightly floral note, which is the calendula petals.

I use TWO teabags and add honey and oatmilk. Your new drink to soothe and unwind!.

I say life is short eat (or drink) dessert first. And now I can do that and not have to worry about filling up before dinner, lunch or breakfast. The Vanilla Sugar Cookie Dessert Tea is a healthy, delicious tea reminiscent of every one’s favorite cookie, the snicker doodle.

All the blend ingredients are known to have health properties-ginger for digestion, cinnamon for inflammation, fennel to alleviate bad breath or body odors and rooibos tea has too many health benefits to mention.

But I don’t think of this as medicine NO more like mom’s Christmas cookies. Yum!.

I read the ingredients and thought to myself “no way”. Well I was wrong, this tea is exactly like a Vanilla Cookie. You all are tea witches or something bc this is magic!! Even my dog sniffed it and tried to sip some.

I got a heart disease recently and caffeine is not acceptable for me anymore. I ordered this rooibos tea as a decaffeinated substitution for black teas and it’s incredible. The taste of this tea is perfectly balanced – it’s not too exotic like flowering/jasmine teas and not too sour like most of fruit teas.

Great versatile tea for everyday use. Also I would like to say thanks to The Tea Makers for a quick delivery, I made an order (several teas and teaware) on 21st of Dec and parcel arrived on 23rd of Dec, right before Xmas.

I’ve only had Tick Tock brand Rooibos before, which I always find to have a really nice, strong flavour. I don’t know if I’m brewing it wrong (I steep for 4-5 minutes) but this just doesn’t have the same intensity to me.

I can tell it’s good quality by looking at the tea leaves themselves, I just wish there was more flavour.

This vanilla infused Rooibos is delicious. I received a sample with a previous order and having tasted it, ordered a caddy. It is so much better than an equivalent teabag version. I would recommend it to anyone.
