20 Best Vanity Fair Articles (2022 Updated)

24 years ago I bought my first VF Lace Nouveau nylon panties and fell in love with them. Like so many ladies I have tried many different brands, styles, and fabrics and these are the grand champion of panties.

Though I got my first taste of nylon panties as a little boy, it was not until years later I got the nerve to buy my own and glad I did. Let tell you why I love these: very soft and silky smooth, they feel and look sooooo good on, cannot be beat for comfort, excellent fitting, never slide down and the lace adds a beautiful girly touch, o so feminine.

Since they stay up I feel very confident wearing them under dresses and skirts which feel sooooo good on. Lastly feminine pads stay in place. I have these in all colors and like so many ladies I would love to see many more colors though it would probably break the bank buying them all.

Needless I have made up for all those years of wearing their white cotton underpants. Finally the associates know me and are of great assistance in trying on lingerie and making women’s clothes my clothes.

I have many panties in my drawer, but these are my favorite and I have worn them for years and years. The quality is generally excellent. However, I have noticed since about the time that tags changed several months ago that the quality of the pico elastic is sub par.

I always hand wash and hang dry. Almost without exception, every pair I have purchased since then the elastic has started to come unraveled at the seam on the side of the leg. The pico edge pulls apart and then it travels around the rest of the elastic, I cut it as soon as I see it, but that is only a temporary fix, it will start to unravel again.

After only a few wears, the elastic gets that ratty over worn look. This has never been a problem before. This is happening on the Ravissant and the Lace Noveau nylon panties. Fortunately I have a stock of the old panties and don’t really need to purchase any new ones; but don’t foresee me making any new purchases until I see that the elastic has been changed.

I give the panties a 5 – I do love them. I give the elastic a 1. Please fix this.

I recently purchased several of the underwear. I have not worn them yet because I also purchased other alleged quality brands which I have not worn yet either; however, I have been wearing Vanity Fair since my junior high years before I could even afford them.

My gandmother would get them for me and it wasn’t long before I noticed the difference between Vanity Fair and underwear from discount places, which today would be like a Walmart. When I first started wearing them, they seemed so delicate and I thought that they would not last but they outlasted all other undwear that I had worn before and they also fit better than cheap underwear because they are cut better and apparently are made of higher quality materials.

Vanity Fair underwear were with me through basic training when I joined the Army right after high school in the 1980’s. Discout store underwear are uncomfortable and just don’t last. So really in an attempt to save money, one is losing money.

The item hasn’t been received, so it can’t be reviewed, but it’s not too late to review the beyond comfort silky stretch bikini panties I purchased more than a year ago. I love them, the band isn’t visible under clothing and they are very light and comfortable.

The only problem is that one of the five pair I ordered in 7/large, was mislabeled, it was noticeably vastly smaller than the others. When I brought that to your attention and returned it, crickets. I never got a refund, a replacement, or even an acknowledgment.

What gives?.

I love wearing this super cute Lace Trim Full Slip under any dress I wear. In addition to being cute, this slip is super soft and comfortable too. The quality of this slip is so premium and elegant too.

I have already recommended the Lace Trim Full Slip to all of my female friends and family and several of them have already purchased and have worn this slip and find the material super soft and comfortable and is of premium quality.

I was looking for a longer slip – particularly that wasn’t too expensive, and this one is perfect! I love not only the length, but also the fabric is breathable and comfortable enough to wear as a nightgown if you want! Great slip.

all my favorite bras over the years have be from VF! best fit, most flattering. my favorite “models” aren’t made anymore, so i tried the new ones. very disappointed. my 34D purchases in the new models were super tight and smaller fitting than before.

so i decided to order 34DD. cups were way too big and two different bra styles that were both 34s were actually different widths around. so one had cups too big and the 34 was too tight, the second had cups too big and the “34” was okay.

so very inconsistent. i have had to find the “old bras” online such as ebay, and get the older models. those fit wonderfully but scouring the internet for the older models will eventually run out.

I am a petite 63 yo gal. Unfortunately, time has brought on sagging breasts, and I also have narrow shoulders, so the cross-over feature is what drove my purchase of this bra. It is also pretty for everyday wear.

I purchased 3, quartz, which is a very light pink, bright white, and black. When the light blue comes back in stock, I will get one of those too. For reference, I am a 34C, with a short waist, 111 lbs.

Price is right. The fabric is smooth & soft. I love the fit. True to size. Very comfortable First time ordering online. Was a little apprehensive, but when they arrive they were perfect. I’ve worn this style & brand of bra for many years & can’t seem to find them in the stores anymore.

No regrets.

I purchased three bras in this style. Two in the cream which is great for my skin tone and one in the purple just for fun. I always wear this style. It’s comfortable and they last longer than other brands I’ve tried in the past.

I am just disappointed that Belks no longer carries Vanity Fair or that’s what I am being lead to believe. When I went on their website, I could not find any Vanity Fair bras. I ordered these directly from the Vanity Fair website but that’s ok.

Bought this bra years ago and loved it, then could not find it in my store again. Wore it out & it became my “working in the yard bra. ” I was happy to discover that it was being sold on the website as it is the most comfortable bra ever.

Ive tried a bunch of brands & never found support, plus flattering lift, plus coverage. At 40D, it meets all the challenges, plus comfort. 5 stars. Hope they make this one forever.

The bras used to be my favorite. Now, without the lining (which is still in the description), they are HORRIBLE! The fabric ripples and bunches. There is no structural integrity. something much needed for busty women.

The bra makes you look like you have dimpled breasts. Not a pleasing image, and certainly not one you want to present to the world.

I love this Bra. I’ve never been a fan of underwire bra’s. But this Full-Figure Underwire Smoothing Bra. Is absolutely comfortable. I love that the underwire doesn’t poke at me. It stays in place and doesn’t cause breast bone pain.

The straps are also very comfortable and don’t get twisted while wearing or moving around. The material is soft and silky. And feels nice on your skin. I really like that this bra doesn’t ride up either.

It washes well on Delicate and keeps its shape too. Overall this bra is of Excellent Quality, it’s comfortable and is absolutely pretty. I highly recommend it.

I like the style and the fit, however, the cups are no longer smooth. I always line dry my bras taking great care with the cups to maintain smoothness and shape. All three of them have NOT kept their smoothness of which I am extremely not happy (there is a vertical line which protrudes along with an indentation next to that line).

I have always had great pleasure with the Vanity Fair products. My usual style, 75298 was discontinued and I have been trying to find something comparable, but to no avail. I am fortunate that layering in the colder months masks this imperfection.

I ordered these briefs as I have an allergy to the elastic waistbands which are on the majority of women’s briefs. I only wish that the gusset were a little wider in order to cover my genitalia. I choose to wear women’s briefs for comfort, not for any other reason.

I have severe back problems, and I find it helpful to wear briefs that have a higher degree of latex, which actually gives me some support. I have tried men’s briefs with latex, but they aren’t anywhere near as comfortable as the women’s briefs.

And they are more costly. It seems that men don’t bother to complain about the fact that they are being exploited to pay more money for their underwear than women. Men have just a few choices of style, Brief, Boxer or hip brief.

Have you checked out the color selections they have for men? Pretty pathetic. Women’s underwear have so many choices for, color, style, and fabrics. Plus they are less expensive. Yes, my wife knows that I wear women’s briefs.

I am not a cross dresser. I only wear women’s underwear.

These briefs are made from the softest, most supple and slippery fabric. My slacks effortlessly glide across them and that slippery feeling is intoxicating. The downside is the waistband. Other women have commented that it breaks.

From someone who purchased several dozen, I can say it’s not just one or two here and there. It’s the manufacturing facility stitching the waist too tight so that it can’t flex enough. So gals, you aren’t crazy and you aren’t alone.

Vanity Fair, would you please address this quality issue instead of IGNORING your customers? I’m not the only WOMAN telling you your have a problem. FIX IT !!!.

As a man, I have been wearing woman’s panties for years and as a man I find the woman’s nylon panties are far better and comfortable than the cotton briefs for men. I now have only woman’s panties and have thrown out all my mens underwear.

I am a heterosexual male that enjoys the fit and feel of the woman’s nylon panty. I have tried many different styles of Vanity Fair panties and a few other brands but I find the full brief panty to be the most comfortable for me.

I have thongs, bikini’s, high cut and briefs and I like them all but the most comfortable are the full nylon brief. If you are one of those that are afraid to try woman’s panties, try them and you will be hooked on them, I know because I did get hooked on them.

I was surprised to see how many reviews are on this Vanity Fair site are from panty wearing men. Many men are afraid to tell or let people see they wear woman’s panties. Most of my panties last for a long time if washed and air dried properly.

This particular line does run a bit small and is not quite as comfortable as the Perfectly Yours Ravissant Tailored Full Brief line.

When I discovered these bras years ago, I was in love with them. They lasted but after years the straps start to stretch which is normal. They’re comfortable, my girls don’t fall out even though they come down low.

Front closure is so easy compared to struggling with the back closure. You can change up straps and they’re sexy looking too. I’m a 38 D so I don’t want all the padding and the fit is perfect. Will never buy a different bra than these! I love them so much I got my daughter to buy a couple.

She lives them too.

Love these Bras. They are very comfortable, fit well, look good underneath my clothing and I especially love the front closure and pretty satin strip. The only reason I downgraded it by 1 star is that I recommend it to my sister who just underwent breast cancer, a full mascectomy and reconstruction surgery last year.

Now being ready to finally wear a normal bra again, she’s having a hard time finding ones that are comfortable and front closing. So, she tried on one of the new bras that I just bought and she loved it! But, she needed a cup size smaller than me, a B cup.

She was so excited after looking for bras for so long and being disappointed, to think she had finally found one that was pretty, front closing, comfortable and came in many colors. Sadly, when she tried to order these bras for herself in size 42B, apparently they aren’t sold in that size.

Her heart sank and so did mine! Very disappointing! I really love these bras and wish my sister could enjoy wearing them too, especially after all she has been through surviving cancer and losing part of her body, dealing with the effects of treatment and surgeries and reconstruction that hasn’t been great either.

I really wanted this to be a win for her. Sadly Vanity Fair didn’t come through.

I bought my first Illumination Full coverage underwire bra a year ago. I recently bought two more. This is the most comfortable and best-fitting bra I have. I honestly never thought the clasp would last, but it has! Because it closes in the front, the back is made of two-layered stretchy fabric instead of being a weighty band that attaches to hook-and-eyes.

I can’t feel the bra on my back. This means that all the ‘action’ of the bra is in the front, coincidentally where the actual breasts are so it feels so much more natural than wearing a back-close bra.

It would be great to have one without the satin trim so it was undetectable under a t-shirt too.

This was my 1st time ordering from Vanity Fair. Im in love w my purchases. It bn soooo hard finding a bra that fits!! Come to find out, I was measuring correctly. After a virtual fitting, I ordered the size I measured, 38D.

To my VERY GRATEFUL SURPRISE, THEY FIT PERFECT!!!!!! I always wear an underwire bra so I ordered 4 w the wire, 2 of those were front closure. which I love to wear, but by the end of the day, the closure snap is always pulled to one side & by this time, my bra was tight w no qsupport.

Needless to say my boobies were in a hott mess state, but NOT W THESE 2 Bra’s!!!! The support lasted thru out the day, the closure snap stayed in place, no pulling the bra straps trying to stretch them due to so much “WRONG” happening in front of my old bras.

These 2 front closure bras went above & beyond ALL expectations that I had!! So excited to kno I will be able to start wearing this style again. IT’S MY FAVORITE STYLE TO WEAR. The other 2 full figured Bra’s I ordered again.

up-up & beyond all of my expectations. The ONLY bra I bought that I was upset w, was the no underwire bra. I had it on no more than 10mins & the bottom had completely rolled it’s way under my breast.

Lesson learned. no underwire bras are just not for me at all. But I still give this order a 12 outta 10 score. I will be back alot in the future. This is an extremely soft and comfortable below the belly button cotton brief. The soft lace waist band is non-scratchy and does not bind or dig into my waist like most undergarment elastic bands do.

I’ve learned to buy 2 to 3 times my “recommended size” to get the relaxed fit my extremely sensitive nerve endings demand. Unfortunately, a breathable cotton brief with soft / non-binding elastic bands that do not pinch or dig into my skin are extremely difficult to find.

For me, this cotton brief is perfect! I hope stock up on as many of these as I can before they are discontinued. The Sheer Quartz is my favorite. a very lovely shade of pink.

I started wearing panties on and off when I was 19. I’m 49 now. I didn’t wear them since 2015. Last year I was at Kohls. I went to womens lingerie just to look and saw these. First off I’m a sucker for high waist panties.

In the early 80’s before thongs women would wear a french cut. Then lace around waist I’m sold, but then the lace detail around the leg openings. The material is silky soft and thin,like nothing there.

The cut on them is just right plenty of room in back and front. They don’t ride up but I like a pantie wedge so I wedge them up myself. The material is soft and silky I don’t even feel it. I got rid of all my men’s underwear.

Never going back. Panties for life! Get some. I’m collecting every color.

Only panties I will wear. Being fit and sexy at 62 has brought me to these lovely panties. I have a very flat stomach but gone are the days of bikini and hipster. With these high cut briefs I still feel sexy, which is important.

40 D All in all, this bra seems pretty comfy, but the band is bigger than a 40 and the cups are smaller than a D. I sure wish they would put a little padding around their underwires. I can feel the sharp edges pressing into my skin already and I just tried it on.

I do like the fact that they only put 3 hooks, so that the sides of the wire don’t poke and chafe my armpit. I am just wearing this around the house, so it does not matter so much, but I prefer thicker padding.

When your breasts are bigger, the padding really stops you from bouncing up and down, and helps you from sagging — like a coconut bra.

The two full coverage underwire 36B bras (both were the exact same style) I purchased were just what I expected. Neutral color does not show through clothing and the full coverage style also helps hide lines.

The bra is lightly lined with no padding. The underwire is comfortable. The bra straps have adequate adjustment for my petite frame, with room left to shorten straps further later on, if necessary. Best of all, the bras are very soft with no places that rub against my ultra-sensitive skin.

And the $30 price was good compared with similar bras on-line and in store. The stores that offer buy 2 get one free never have 3 bras that I like in my size, so I can’t take advantage of those sales.

Bought this because I have 2 others that I thought were similar, which I love. When I first put this one on I loved it, it was very comfortable. But after about 8 hours of wear, the seams where the strap is attached to the top of the cup, as well as the seam where the wire is sewn in closest to my under arm, rub my skin completely raw.

I contacted customer service & got a fairly quick response that asked me to send the style # of the bras I had that I loved – which I did. Four times. Never heard from customer service again. I’ve opened numerous other customer service requests and got zero replies.

I ordered a different style bra after this to try and it does the same thing. The only one that hasn’t so far is the wire free one I bought. So my main complaints are the seams and the complete lack of customer service.

So I’m a man who enjoys wearing panties as of recent and have purchased all sorts and brands of women’s panties for myself. A second favorite is Maidenform lace back tanga they do feel sexy wearing them.

But my vanity fair illuminating string bikini are my favorite and are probably the most comfortable underwear men or women to wear. I like all the patterns and I have purchased nearly every pattern and color I could.

I usually buy multiple pairs to get the discount and have purchased from many vendors. But customer service with vanity fair is very helpful. I absolutely plan on getting more of this style when other colors and patterns are available.

I wish I would have had a chance to try the illuminating thong but they don’t make them anymore. They the string bikini accommodate the male anatomy very well and I absolutely forget that I am wearing panties they fit so well.

Probably the best durability as they seem so well made. A harley davidson pattern would probably make me very happy.

I’ve worn Illuminations for many, many years and loved them. However, I’ve discovered that they’re now making the same sizes smaller. I’m the same weight and shape as I was the last time I purchased them, but now the same size (8 for me) is now noticeably smaller.

When I line up the edges and compare my most recently purchased size 8s with the previous size 8s I bought, the newer are quite a bit smaller. I tested to see if they just expand with use or laundering, but it’s been 7 months and the newer ones are still smaller than the older ones.

Reminds me of the food industry, where so many companies are cutting their costs by subtly shrinking what used to be standard can, jar and box sizes, keeping the prices the same, and hoping consumers don’t notice.

Unfortunately I now have a bunch of Illuminations that are smaller than I’d like, and for future purchases I’ll have to change from size 8 to 9, which is Plus and therefore much less available from retailers and on this website.

Annoying and a hassle. I would have preferred that they’d left the sizes the same and raised the prices if they needed to.

I participate in their free underwear program in exchange for honest reviews. Who doesn’t want free underwear?! Personally this style/cut doesn’t flatter my shape but they were free and I figured they would be good gym underwear and they are.

I do find the material to be a little too sheer/thin but the quality of the fabric doesn’t feel or look cheap. I do find this style to be comfortable and stays in place. I don’t have any issues with it riding up.

I have worn Vanity Fair bras and panties for over 50 years. I used to make a special stop in Penn. to go to the outlet mall. Same items, same size I have bought for years do not come close to fitting me What a shock that quality items have gone to crap.

I WASTED $60. I will donate them. But i’m gone as a customer. When panty hose were popular I would purchase 50 pairs. at a time. My husbandas family lived Hazzelton and a day at the outlets was maandatory.

The name says it all. These briefs are wonderful. The material is soft and smooth. No “panty lines” and clothing glides over them. I especially like the wide waist band. They stay up all day and best of all the waist band does not “roll over” and bunch up.

They hold their shape after washing. This brief is a great addition to my wardrobe and I will be purchasing more.

I have bought these camisoles for a number of years now. The quality, cut and sizing are good, and they feel nice next to the skin. But I wish that they were still available in black. I would also appreciate a camisole style without seams going down over the bust.

In other words: no princess seams. But they should be in the same silky fabric, not a cotton, like men’s undershirts.

This is a very nice cami. It’s well made with great fabric but it ran a little small. I purchased it with a special offer and tried to exchange it for a different size but VF only does returns. When I tried to repurchase another size, VF wouldn’t honor the special offer.

Going forward, I will buy multiple sizes and take advantage of the free return policy. Great cami, just a bad exchange policy.

I absolutely LOVE how great I look in this camisole. The material feels so nice on my skin and it does a great job shaping me without it being too tight. It is my go to for dressing up an outfit with a cute jacket or when I feel like dressing sexier for my husband.

I use Vanity Fair to keep up with historical events in Business, Education, and Entertainment historical events that happened before I was born. As a retired History Educator who is interested in Film and People of Color your magazine always has new content to be discovered.

I am very interested in Hollywood History as well.

I look at the Magazine from the back to the beginning, bookmarking what sparks my creativity. Afterwards I unfairly judge other’s choices on paint, position, art, furniture etc. Even so, I always make a point to go back and read about the designers whose choices I questioned and always end up appreciating their perspective on their personal space.

Vanity fair is a great period movie. The wardrobes take some artistic diversions. Very entertaining. DVD was in perfect condition.

I do believe the Reese Witherspoon is an excellent actress and I loved her in this movie. Robert Pattinson is just terrific all the way around. The plot of the movie was so inspiring.

Years ago, pre-pandemic, VF was a premium product: thick, strong, absorbent, and soft. Now they are as thin as single ply, harsh to the hand, and fall apart as soon as they get wet or used in any way.

As with so many US manufacturers, GP has taken advantage of pandemic economic conditions to lower quality while raising prices.

I had been buying a different brand for years and they became unavailable for a time due to covid. I purchased these for the first time and so glad I did. They are much softer, durable, and a bit larger than the other brand.

The price per napkin may be slightly more, but we are using less, much less! I am very happy to have found a new good quality product and will continue to repurchase them.

Much softer and more absorbent than the cheap napkins. I’ve found that I’m not saving money by going cheap. One of these napkins is sufficient for a fairly messy meal, like pasta and sauce. I’d have to give everyone three or four cheap napkins to get the same results.

They feel like soft cotton, too. They look classy, and you don’t have to launder them!.

Pretty solid and good quality vanity. If you’re looking for the typical individual drawers to store your items, this vanity may not do the job. It’s more like a wide opening on the top and bottom, which were adapted to fit the drain and plumbing.

Not a deal-breaker to me, since there’s additional space on the bottom. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.
