20 Best Vans For Traveling (2022 Updated)

These sneakers are great for my everyday commute. They’re cute enough to wear with my work clothes and comfortable enough to get me to and fro. I also love to wear them for flights because they’re so easy to slip on and slip off, especially when you’re on the TSA line and they require you to take your shoes off but don’t have much space for you to put your shoes back on.

These are definitely a staple in my wardrobe.

I have too many shoes it probably only a fraction than others. So many that it took me probably a year before I remembered having these before I wore them. I’ve worn them casually over the past nine months but not my primarily shoes by any stretch of the imagination and realized yesterday the leather has ripped away from the seam on the side.

Not very durable if that is happening already, so there is that. But if you buy lots of shoes, aren’t a tomboy and don’t “wear” your shoes, these shoes are perfect! ;-).

I’ve been eyeing these for my son for ages and was so excited when they went on sale, but alas they were a disappointment. The reviews raved about the comfort, but there was hardly any more padding than in his traditional Vans, which have essentially no arch support.

Strike one. They also run a lot smaller than other Vans in our experience. My son wears a 9. 5 in traditional Vans, and the 10. 5 was virtually the same length. Wierd!.

I love these, they are super comfortable and a great hybrid between running shoes and street shoes. Awesome style too, but of course the whites get dirty very fast and need to be cleaned often. Would have rated 5 stars, but the color of these black shoes is not as described.

I returned them because the stitching was all white instead of black as shown in the picture, which ruined the look of the shoe.

The price point is great but I ordered these online, and they came with one new and one that look used. I took them back to the store and reordered. Then I got the same situation when they came in AGAIN.

One has felt that appears notably faded and the other is a crisp black. One is laced up and smashed and the other has a shoe insert and is well preserved.

Have always loved the look of Old Skool Vans, but needed a lighter, more packable and modern shoe for travel. This one fits the bill, and looks like a classic skate shoe, but fits and feels more like an everyday runner with some hidden mesh, a durable and water resistant toe box, etc.

The integrated insole is also great for going sockless. Doesn’t have a lot of padding like a training shoe, so ran a bit big/long for me. Usually wear an 8. 5, but needed an 8 for this one.

During my 3 week trip in Europe, this was my all around shoes. You could wear with jeans or chino pants. At first, it seems a bit tight but after one day, the fit was perfect. The shoes are light and the sole gives you proper support.

For hotter days, the shoes were breathable. Someone with wider feet should try them first as I wear regular width.

This is my second pair of Ultrarange’s after getting the original style last year. I prefer the footbed and outsole on the EXO. I found the way the heel was made, with an uncovered heel pad versus the covered one on the standard Ultrarange was annoying at first – scraping my heel when wearing no-show socks, but it’s gotten better over time.

The toe box fits a little more snug than on SK8-hi’s or Old Skools, but still very close in size, and they stretched out quickly. Overall, I love my experiences with the Ultrarange line as a whole so far.

Im a huge fan of the model, I have 6 pairs (those pictured, also black suede light and leopard print). I have US8,5 size and they don’t visually make my feet bigger as it may happen with some sneakers.

I have very thin skin and all shoes are giving me bloody blisters immediately on heel part but these shoes almost never. I love that they could be worn with literally any style – dresses, shirts, skirts, even classic blouses.

If I was told to wear one type of shoes for the rest of my life – it would deffo be Vans authentic.

Everyone… I read the reviews on these vans like 30 times before I ordered because every review said it’s mens sizing so I ordered my size in mens. It’s wrong. It’s not unisex. They sent me womens sizes and I reached out to asos and they pretty much said too bad.

They need to be more clear on the description of what the sizing is because vans are unisex and if it doesn’t say mens or womens sizing how does anyone know what’s the correct size to get? Do better asos.

I’ve worn vans for years. It was my first time ordering them from Zulily. The shoe box has authentic written on the front (never had this before with vans) and the shoes themselves fit totally different and ran small.

The shoes also ran a lot more narrow versus my other vans. Really disappointed in this order and in Zulily. Now I’ll have to pay to return a product that doesn’t even seem legit.

I love these shoes! Great fit, super comfortable. The suede material is extremely durable and lasts longer than the regular canvas version. They add the perfect, stylish touch to my work scrubs. I love the little checker board tag! I’m on my feet for most of the day and they feel good all day long.

When I first got them they completely destroyed my feet and were unwearable, but when broken in the board feel was amazing, best board feel I ever had. Also the shoes dont provide much protection but thats expected with slip ons.

These are NOT green. Bought them as a gift in the grape leaf and they look nothing like the photo! The stock photo is an obvious bright olive green – but in real life they’re more like a green-tinged bluish-black.

There’s no way these shoes are passing off as green to anyone who buys them. Plus, the suede is cut super sloppy with uneven trim and sections where the inner felt lining sticks out past where the leather should have been sewn.

I don’t see how these could possibly have passed quality control – it’s just sad. The sizing was as expected but they look so cheap it’s not even worth the comfort. Returning ASAP.

The black with white thread look VERY sharp, much better in person. These remind me of my old nike 6s, but even better, with a cleaner design and sharper contrast, and vans style. They were awesome and dry on a rainy windy florida day.

SIZE: got these in 10. They are a little tight around the top front of the foot. For reference, I comfortably wear a 9. 5 in vans Era Pro skate, and the standard vans slip-on in 10 is almost too loose on me.

if I would have gotten a 10. 5 in these, it would have been the equivalent feel of the era pro size 9. 5. I normally wear 9. 5/10 in vans, these you need to size up half a size.

I really love these. Bought them a few months back. I am a photographer and work outside quite a bit, these are great because I feel stylish as well as comfortable in them. The waterproofing is amazing as well with the crazy environments that I work in.

The UltraRange EXO shoes go beyond the clunky welded waffle bottom skate shoe. The grips are better jogging, on wet pavement & in soft hiking conditions. There Also quite compatible with mountain bike platform pedals.

I wouldn’t skateboard with these however, as the thin waterproof vinyl on the caps is more of an all-weather thing. Skate deck abrasions will just ruin them fast. These are more of a retired skater shoe.

Really comfy out of the box! Happy knees standing for hours. Luckily the provided insoles are very lightly glued & I was able to peel them out and replace them with my custom orthidic insoles. I got (1) size bigger than reg sneakers and my there ended up being perfect room for my insoles & wide toes.

these are wider than the surf slip on’s. Def love the look, the green is more of a subdued mossy green that goes with everything, not as flashy as the pics. Love the shoe, walking on clouds. Keep making the UltraRange EXO’s Vans! Good job.

I’ve been wearing Vans since I was about 8 or 9 years old. We’re talking like 36 years of brand loyalty. These EXO Vans are probably THE most comfortable pair of Vans I’ve ever owned, and probably the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned.

Can you go out and shred on your skateboard, maybe, but I wouldn’t suggest it. They are a great shoe to throw on to be comfortable and go out on the town. A fantastic shoe to walk around Disneyland with.

They are super comfortable and still have that great Vans look. I purchased the T&C surf designs collab because I’m old school like that, but I think as these become more popular, I’m sure that they will put out even better designs.

I know that some people have reviewed that they had quality issues with their shoes, but I did not have those issues. I do highly recommend these to anyone who wants great Vans style, with the comfortability of a walking shoe.

I wore nothing but Vans when I was young, but I need more arch support these days. These are a step in the right direction for vans shoes, At least when it comes to a walking show. Im sure vans will always make there classic style of flat bottom shoe, but these new styles with some arch support are a welcome addition.

especially for us older kids (55) that need a little arch support. They look very nice in person and fit to size -at least length wise goes. They do feel a bit snug from the bottom (sole) to the top.

I think the arch support takes up a bit more of that space inside the shoe. Maybe Vans can look into giving us a bit more space top to bottom (not Length) inside the shoe. But for now I will buy another pair.

Lots of cool colors to chose from I only gave 4 stars because they fit me really good but not great. but they might fit you perfectly. They are worth a try.

Purchased these for my husband and he immediately wore them once they were delivered. He loves the color combination of the blue and red and the checkerboard on the bottom. They fit great and will get much use by him.

Purchased for my 12yr old. First pair of vans. Normally wears nike. But he loves them. He Normally wears a size 13 in men’s but went down to a size 12, which fits perfectly. He loves them. Wants more.

Bought these for my teenage son a few weeks back. He picked them out and loves them. He has gotten so many compliments on the patriotic colors! Only downside is he had high arches and these are pretty flat.

Very nice quality, great colours. They do hold their quality of shoe for quite a while after being worn for a long time, which is great.

I was really excited to receive these shoes, hoping they would be perfect for mountain biking or easy hikes on groomed trails. Unfortunately, the aggressive curve around the inner arch support causes the shoe to pull your foot forward.

This makes the foot pull away from the heel area, and in turn the heel moves up and down inside the shoe – essentially the same action you get when wearing flip flops. It also caused a pressure point in my arch area that would be a real problem for someone with more advanced plantar-fasciitis.

The sock-style construction leaves no way to tighten the laces enough to secure the rear of the shoe to your achilles area, and you essentially have a piece of rubber and cloth moving independent to your foot, with no support whatsoever.

These are great looking shoes, but the overall design makes them pretty much useless for any activity, including walking around the house to try them on.

First, I am NOT a “Sneaker” person so to speak as I always love leather shoes and boots all my life. However, reality tells me that they are not made for strolling. Therefore, I attempt to get for myself a pair of comfortable walking shoes.

Personally, I am not daring when comes to loud shocking colours so CHIVE (Green) has caught my attention. Now, the problem is the SIZING. When I tried size 11, the left foot fits perfectly but the right foot is tight and snug fit.

But on size 11. 5, the right foot is okay but a bit lose on the left foot. Hence, I end up with a size 11. 5 and just wear thick socks. But in terms of shoe comfort – I was literally walking on clouds.

Very light and comfortable.

Happened to catch the dark denims in a size 13 at the store; my size13’s were on display. Tried them on it’s been like butter on my feet! The ecocush is like walking on pillows. Vans has been my favorite go-to practically any occasion shoe for over ten years now, primarily because of the comfort factor.

The new VR3’s take comfort to the next level. I usually wear socks with my Vans, really to protect the integrity of the shoe; I’ve read other reviews mentioning the friction on the foot. For me, they’re snug yet comfortable with some give; sort of like a glove on my feet.

These will be a strong addition to my Vans collection.
