20 Best Vans For Work (2022 Updated)

I purchased my first pair of Vans ( exact same pair except for the customization in photos) in 2018 and they have lasted me up till the beginning of this year, and I definitely put ALOT of miles on them lol.

They are EXTREMELY comfortable, casual yet able to pass for something slightly more “dressy†too. Recently my daughter celebrated her 11th birthday in May and as you can see Loves Billie Eilish. She also really wanted a pair of Vans like myself so I was able to get the same pair customized and they have been actually holding up extremely well!! They’re also extremely easy to clean, and they have socks you can purchase that work perfectly with them that have little rubber supporting on the back so they don’t slip down so it look like your just wearing the shoes! You can purchase protection spray and there’s just so much more! This company in general I believe definitely makes sure it is serving top quality products and promises!.

I had the old version Dog Town High Sk8 skateboard shoes for many years. They were legendary. A true skateboader shoe. These are not the same, but they still have a similar feel and characteristics which make them a great choice for general use.

The sizing has changed, but I had no issues with the size chart accuracy. With any footwear you need at least 8mm to 15mm extra on top of your bare foot size. With most Vans, the toe box tapers as expected, but doesn’t imped toe movement or overall toe box room.

I’m a die hard Vans fan and have grown to love the style and feel. I’m happy with them. Cheers.

I was one of the lucky ones who ordered the correct size. I’m a womens 9 US and ordered a 7. 5 (which ended up being mens). The style is so cute and they look great on, but they offer no support or comfort.

The toe box is narrow on my wide feet and the soles are completely flat. I have pretty high arches and this was the worst. I have added inserts to help, but the shoe height makes it a bit too tight and further narrows the already narrow toe box.

If you’re not going to wear these for more than 2 hours and don’t plan on walking very much. these are the shoes for you! haha. Such a bummer!.

An absolute must have for every closet. So comfy, so easy to wear with any casual outfit. Just repurchased my second pair to replace my 5+ year old pair – nothing wrong with them just wanted a fresh clean scuff free pair.

I’ve worn these all day without any issues. Walked around the mall, run errands, dancing around at concerts, a full day at Disneyland. These do run a bit big so I went a half size down. Recommend wearing no show socks from Stance rather than the Vans socks.

I have never had Vans. I’m 56 and I think they look great with jeans. I wear 7. 5 in Altra athletic shoes, wear 7 sometimes in shoes. The 7 fits in these leather vans. 7. 5 slipped on heel. These will take breaking in, they are heavy and stiff and rub on heel.

I got used to only wearing wider type comfort shoes. Maybe these will soften up. Plus I’d get black if I reordered. The white leather remind me of nurse shoes. My feet feel better in a wider shoe, these are a true medium.

So right now they aren’t comfortable, have to see if they stretch.

Great shoe for a variety of styles and outfits. They do have a break in period but it was really short, just one wear. The sole is very flat, there is no arch support at all and the insoles cannot be removed.

So if you need good soft support these are not it. They need a thin low cut sock. But they worked great for me for walking around the city on vacation and travel.

I just purchased the black paisley hightops for my boyfriends birthday and he wears them everyday to the gym. He has a flat foot and needs all the ankle support he can get as a body builder, so these babies were the perfect addition to his pulled up “vans” ankle socks! lol I must admit though, the man definitely pulls the look off so dont be surprised if you start seeing a trend-setting of body builders with their hightop vans and pulled up matching socks at your local gyms! 🙂 FYI: keep in mind that his foot is very narrow and flat so his ext room may have been bc of how narrow his feet are and the only option was the WideD.

A great choice for an everyday shoe. This shoe is simple yet always in style and comfortable. Looks good with pants or shorts and comes in a variety of colors or textures. The slip on’s are extremely versatile and can be dressed up or down.

In the photo, i was wearing these to an outdoor wedding. They are comfortable, fast, and easy to travel with. These are also great skateboarding shoes. If you skate, I recommend the pro versions as they come with a more durable footbed “ultracush”, and they come with a duracap that helps when sliding along grip tape.

This shoe i would recommend to a younger crowd, who needs a white shoe for going out or everyday use!.

This is my sons first pair of Vans and he absolutely loves them! They fit true to size, he wears a men’s size 11. We purchased these for a wedding as well as to be able to be worn for school. The customer service at Tilly’s was impeccable.

The person that was working helped us with every question and made sure our needs were met. We were there for specific reasons and she helped us find what we needed in. Timely manner. These are my go to everyday shoes plus workout shoes! I literally love them and have gone thru 3 pairs already. Personally I love a flat shoe and find it most comfortable. No time needed to put them on or lace anything up, literally slide and go! They give off such a clean look and make any outfit, casual or active, look soo good! I cleaned each pair once or twice before I move on to my next pair (look at tiktok jacks for cleaning these, it really works).

Hey I’m Jay and I’ve been skating Vans for a few years now. I generally go through shoes quite quick with casual skating. I like the fit of Vans and the features that come in the skate series. These shoes fit a little wide when compared to Nikes or NBnumerics but still are a classic.

Overall the look and feel great. I used these shoes for skating here in the Netherlands and I’m generally pretty happy. I usually skate on the Kyle Walker pros and had a previous bad experience with some old schools due to their durability, but these new old school skate versions how met all my expectations.

The Duracap over the toes makes sure that i can skate longer without holes in my shoes and the Comfy Cush insoles have got to be the comfiest insoles that already come with the shoes. The only cons i can see are that they’re a little wide so people with narrower feet might not be so comfortable in them.

Other than that, they’re a solid skate shoe and it is definitely worth it to go for the added perks of the skate series than just the classic series. Great shoes to skate in, durable and comfy. Maybe they’re a little wide so watch out if you have really narrow feet.

Andrew Reynolds is one of my favorite pros. This shoe is true to size and comfortable but needs a little break in time. All Vans get hot and have minimal ventilation so don’t wear these all day. Cushioned insoles make a huge difference.

This particular style of vans are my absolute favorite for toddlers! They’re the absolute cutest and have a Velcro opening to help get their little feet inside. My son has wide feet and complains the first day or 2 of wearing them but they stretch out and be up being super comfy and his favorite shoes! My daughter has average feet and fit her perfectly! Get them…In all the colors!.

These are cute and stylish, and my son was so excited to match his dad. Unfortunately they run more than a size small and were tough to get on. Otherwise the shoes are very well made. We ended up ordering a few sizes up – he typically takes a 12.

5/13 but we ordered a 1. 5. Once the fit was sorted we were very happy with our purchase! Super fast shipping too.

We got these for our toddler. The quality of the shoe seems great so far – he’s been wearing them daily for the past two weeks – and the flexible sole is great for new walkers. We sized up so that he’ll be able to wear them a little longer, but even in the smaller size we found the width the be good (and his feet are quite wide).

Bonus: we get compliments everywhere we take him in these!.

I’ve worn these multiple times now for a lot of walking and had no problems. I wore them with no-show socks. I struggled trying to figure out what size to get bc I also have a pair of Vans platform slides that I had to order down (size 8) a size.

I wear an 8. 5/9, usually a 9 in flats. For these the size 8. 5 were perfect even with a pair of no-show socks. I do not have narrow feet or wide they’re pretty average. I have a high arch and suffer from plantar fasciitis often and the first time I wore these for a lot of walking I was dealing with a bout of plantar fasciitis.

These provided plenty of arch support for me (no additional arch support/inserts used) and I never had any pain even though I was on my feet for a long time.

The smell. Oh, the smell of a fresh shoe. The unboxing is always a wonderful stage as you get the first glance but the smell takes you along to another land, filled with flying unicorns and fresh shoes that grow from the cabbage patch.

This shoe, however, exceeds all others. Soft from the ball of the foot to the tips of the toes, it hugs you into a false sense of something like hovering. The plump cuffs snuggle up gently to your ankles in a manner akin to how you would imagine a calf does to mother cow.

To top it off, you look even cooler wearing them than you do holding them.

The shoe came in a not perfect condition, and I did not realize and wore it just once and when I told JDSports about it all they said was “too bad you wore it already”. So I find that the QC did not even do their job right and also a bad way of handling the case.

I did not know I had to inspect every part of the shoe before wearing a brand new shoe and thought that it had a defect to it. I thought I could have trusted the company and its QC to do a proper job but I guess I was wrong about that.

Also, the shoe has no grip so when the floor is wet the shoe gets slippery. I hope the company would do something about it for both my defective shoe and the grip of the shoe.

I bought this thinking they were womens then had to return them because they were mens sizing. Re ordered in my size converted to men’s and they are slightly bigger than vans usually fit on me. Design is nice and good quality.

I bought these for myself, and vans are usually unisex unless specified otherwise. I assumed the sizing was men’s and ordered my usual 7. 5(9 ladies) but after paying shipping and duties received a pair of 7.

5 ladies. Had to pay to ship them back. Never again.

Got these for my lady and she loves them. Fits as expected for USwomens. The checkers are big but the bees are small. Not your typical design for checkered Vans.

These are a great set of shoes. Sure, they’re not the *most* comfortable, nor the *most* long-lasting but I don’t believe that is their purpose. They are a good everyday walking shoe and comfortable enough to get you through the day.

They also have a very iconic design that don’t really get old. The soles are cushioned enough such that you still feel the padding in each step but it is to be noted that the cushions do become flatter starting at about a few weeks of use.

Overall good pair of shoes for the price.

Well, I always wanted to try this baby! We are talking about a stylish and full of personality peace, so my husband got me this one for my birthday and I’m so in love with my Vans. Even though I am not the skater girl type I find many ways to include it in my outfit and as you can see in the pictures it goes well with a dress too! Also, something that I think is important to mention, usually when buying bulky types of shoes your can question how comfortable they will be, I’m saying that because I did, and here is the answer, it is pretty comfortable! I ordered a pair of these blue slip-on because VANS slip-one are my go-to. I own about 20 pairs, different colors, regular and platform. Love them. However, the first pair of these blue ones had a small defect in the blue checker of the left shoe.

Halfway through one of the blue boxes there was a white patch. I returned them to the store and had to order a second pair since they don’t carry this color in the store. The second pair came and to my surprise the left shoe had a defect again.

This time it had some dark spots on the checker print. Store employee confirmed it was yet another defect and won’t come off. I decided to keep them because I needed them for an event that weekend. I have since worn them 3 times and the elastic in the inner right shoes is tearing already.

Totally disappointed in this purchase.

First of all let me say that I am a total Vans shoe junkie and own multiple pairs of them. Like seriously…. So many! These run true to size and are nice and bright with the tie dye pattern without being obnoxious! Good to wear with your favorite pair of jeans or standing non stop during a concert.

They wash up nice when you need to without excessively fading like some. Some reviewers on here said their’s were tight. Well I don’t know your situation. But Vans stretch a little over time across the top arch of your foot yet shouldn’t allow for your heel to move from the footbed.

If they are you’re buying them to big. They were originally designed for skateboarding so your feet shouldn’t be going clomp, clomp and should stay planted when you walk. Love this pair and will continue to add to my Vans collection.

Comfy and go with just about anything!.

Love the colors in these cool, colorful Vans! I purchased the multicolor version of these slip-on sneakers, which are mainly turquoise and raspberry, swirled around in a tie-dye spiral effect. Takes me back to the fashions of my youth–but with an updated, 21st-century vibe! I will say, though, that they weren’t exactly “slip-on” when I first tried them on after ordering them.

I had to really wriggle into them to get them on in the back. But once I got them on, they fit true to size and were comfortable. Hoping to break them in by taking them on and off several times at home before venturing outside.

Want to keep them ‘cuz they’re really cool and look great with white or black slacks or capris.

Purchased a couple pairs of these Vans for my sons. They are a great casual shoe; comfort level is subjective to the individual. I find the sizing to be very correct, might be a slight small, but all of this depends on what brands you are normally familiar with; for instance I find Asics to run very small (needing a 12 when I use an 11) and if you are used to that brand sizing etc.

Wear and Tear; I find that Vans wear out differently than standard sneakers. Their sole seem to last longer, while the glue/stitching right were your toes bend always breaks open fairly quickly. They also get dirty quickly and look ratty and hard to clean up, imo.

With this specific series of Vans my sons and I were disappointed between the style variations just between color choices. The Black/White were really nice and the toe cap area was swede type material but you could hardly tell vs the canvas type material.

Meanwhile the Grey version’s toe area is solid shiny leather type looking material which makes for a really different look that you cannot see/tell the difference in the online pictures.

I don’t know how this shoe fits anyone! I originally followed some of the reviews and got a half size smaller than my usual shoe size, but it was way too small. So I exchanged it for the normal size, and while the overall sole length was better, the toe area was still super flat.

For example, I could see myself wiggle my toes back and forth and there was a raised section where my big toe popped up through the end. They are very cute, but I seriously don’t understand how there is enough room for anyone’s toes! I have a very narrow foot and even at a size too large for me, the toe area was tight.

I tried 3 different sizes in all and none were comfortable. Not to mention how stiff and rough the fabric is. Honestly, the style is great if the fit works for you, but these were a big miss for me. (For reference I am usually a 8.

5 and I tried 8, 8. 5 and 9).

If you have wide feet? Go a size bigger maybe a half or a whole size. But I do love them because they’re classics and they will always look dope. Don’t take them to festivals though or anywhere that you may walk or stand for a long time because you’ll regret it REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES.

I’ve always liked vans, stylish, comfortable and combinable. This vans in particular are made of very strong material so they’ll last longer than other’s!

These are by far the most comfortable pair of Vans I’ve ever owned/worn. Being on my feet all day long as a teacher, these shoes hold up. Feel great, look amazing (my students even compliment them), and my feet and legs don’t feel as tired at the end of the day.

Stoked to have these and will for sure come back to Iron and Resin for more gear.

These stackforms are more narrow than my old vans. I have been a size 9 in vans for 35 years and my slip ons have always fit perfectly. I bought a size 9 in the stackforms and they were so narrow I had blisters! I’ve NEVER had blisters from a pair of vans, ever.

So I threw them away (which broke my heart) and went back to the store and tried on a 9. 5 and a 10. They are too big for me, but I went with the 9. 5 so I don’t get blisters again. The girl at the store told me she’s been hearing that the new vans are coming out more narrow than before and that I needed to size up.

I’ve had these new stackforms in a larger size for three days and I am already developing major calluses and my toes are sore. I held the new vans up against my old vans and they are most certainly more narrow than before.

I’m pretty heartbroken over this. I’ve never worn anything but vans for decades but these new shoes just do not fit me. I mean, this is kinda devastating for me. I hope this is not a new trend, and if it is.

I hope they offer a wider version. I literally do not know what I am going to do without Vans!.

I’ve been wearing vans platforms and slip ons for 30 years. They’ve always been totally comfortable and I can wear them all day no prob. When these stackforms came out I was obsessed and immediately bought a pair.

They are so cute and I love the extra lift. Buuutttt. These do not fit me like the platforms do. The girl at the store told me they run more narrow, but I don’t really have wide feet so I went ahead and bought them.

They are MUCH more narrow and I developed some serious callouses on my toes and my feet were absolutely aching. I had to just throw them away so I’d stop wearing them and punishing my feet. I went back to my platforms and they fit like a glove.

Not sure why they made the stackforms more narrow. but if you have even slightly wide feet. these cute shoes will kill ya. Dear Vans. why’d ya do that? 😭.

Already own a “stacked” version but decided on a stackform style, and I must say- I love these waaayyyy more!!! the platform isnt heavy, unlike the stacked, these dont have the additional grip at the bottom, which actually allows for the bottom sole of the shoe to be fully flushed with the floor.

These are not heavy at all, I walk DTLA with no complaints! The textured pattern is really nice and evaluates the shoe to be a bit less casual for a sneaker. I am a size 9 in all my vans, and these fit perfect.

Slip-on Sandals fit and and feel like a classic Vans slip-on shoe, I ordered the same size I am in their original shoes and the fit is perfect. Where these sandals come up short is the lack of cushioning in the soul (you feel everything you’re stepping on) and in the areas prone to blisters, as these puppies like to rub, primarily on the back of the ankle.

Another downside is the design, the hole sin the top let in stones that don’t fit through the holes in the bottom (I’m guess were designed to let sand drain out), which means stones get in and have no where to go from there, requiring you to remove the shoes to constantly shake out debris that find its way into the shoe.

Having said all that, these sandals are perfect for running errands in town or doing light gardening work around the house. I took these sandals camping which I would not recommend due to the issues above, but they are perfect for just wearing around town if you didn’t want to wear shoes.

Long story short, great town shoe for short trips where a lot of walking (under 1km) isn’t necessary, or a light chore shoe, great water shoe. Would not recommend for camping anywhere with sand as they fill up pretty quickly and don’t drain well.

Overall though, they’re tough to not like and I will continue to use them for low impact activities.

I love these shoes! I normally prefer slides/flip flops for summer but I needed a pair of shoes to wear in the creek and for quick walks outside with the dog etc. I tried on crocs and just don’t like the way they look at all.

I tried a few other brands version of a waterproof/outdoor chill shoe and couldn’t find anything that fit my style. I saw these at a skateboarding store and immediately liked the look. They have the traditional vans look and fit like a glove.

They are super comfortable, they don’t slip at all and I’ve walked a few miles and even took a short jog with them and I’ve had no issues which is rare with this type of shoe. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled after seeing only one review and seeing that it was the opposite of the experience I’ve had with these shoes to date.

I wear a 9 in most shoes and got an 8 in these. If you’re in between sizes, I’d go down a size.

Die hard Vans fan here. Knew I had to get these shoes as I spend a lot of time around water and absolutely hate flip flops. Also a bit clumsy so it’s nice to have the toe protection. The toe box is more spacious than their typical slip ons – it was weird at first, but it’s become a welcomed feature as it allows the toes to breathe very well and dry fast.

This arrangement works because the arch area it tighter than the normal slip on, so the shoe grips your foot (just the right amount) and doesn’t allow your foot to slide around. Only downside it they’re a little on the heavier side, which does make them feel very durable, but I might not take them backpacking as I’d hoped.

Not a huge loss though – probably going to get another color in the spring.

These modern version of the classics are amazing. Great board feel and wear resistant. Get them. Plus chicks dig em’.
