20 Best Vegan Chocolate Milk (2022 Updated)

I have tried various plant-based milks for my son, who just stopped breastfeeding and can’t have dairy products due to an allergy. He had rejected all the other milks, but after a few tries of Kiki Milk, he’s finally found one he likes! My main suggestion would be to improve the pour spout.

The current spout tends to leak when pouring. Also, it says to shake, but it’s hard to shake after it’s open if the full bottle is not finished at once. It would be great if the kiddos could drink directly from the boxes.

My son has tried, but it pours all over him. Overall, we like the milk and will probably order again!.

I initially bought these for my 10 year old son, who stopped growing, but he didn’t care for the taste. Then my 16 year old Autistic son tried them and LOVES THEM!! We bought original and chocolate. The chocolate seems a little bit intense with the chocolate flavor, but we just add a bit of coconut milk to it to lessen the intensity.

The original is good on it’s own and very good over cereal according to my teen. Now my 10 year old says it is growing on him and he likes it now. We will probably keep ordering since they both need the extra nutrition! Thanks for the great product!.

My toddler doesn’t seem to love it (I’m really hoping she warms up to it later) but I love it! My husband (not dairy free) described it as tasting like a protein shake. My first drink of it was a little strange as it wasn’t quite what I was expecting but I really like it now and even crave it! And I love all the good ingredients! I haven’t tried the original yet because that one has banana which I hate haha.

But if the banana flavor is masked I might like that one too! You can’t taste the blueberries, spinach, or seaweed in the chocolate one though!.

Absolutely delicious! The chocolate flavor tastes just like chocolate milk. Please don’t ever stop making these! I was hesitant to try these at first as I’m not a fan of coconut water, but it pairs wonderfully with the chocolate and dash of salt.

Gets nice and cold in the fridge. A super delicious and quenching treat! As a breastfeeding mama this drink helps to keep me hydrated during feedings and pumps. Cannot recommend this enough. Love the packaging as well, makes me feel like a conscious consumer.

Website is super easy to navigate too. Overall, super satisfied with my purchases, and happy that I found such a great company.

I used this at the end of pregnancy and now for nursing. I love it! It’s the only drink that really hydrates me and the ingredients are great! I love the chocolate taste but honestly I love all the flavors! I also like that it does not have stevia.

I have a problem with stevia giving me a headache and every other drink either has stevia or sugar. I feel great when I drink greater than and have told so many people about it.

Honestly… Can you get any better!!?? This feels like you’re drinking the best chocolate milk ever… I’ve never been a fan of chocolate milk because I end up with a stomach ache, and this dairy free alternative is amazing!!! I have had a bunch of different types of chocolate protein/health shakes that are chocolate flavored and to be honest, I anticipated a similar chalky/fake sweet taste.

I was so pleasantly blown away by how good this is. It’s definitely my favorite of all the flavors because it’s so luxurious and yummy, I feel like I’m getting away with something. So so good!.

my 5-year ol son loves it!. i started giving this to him when he started summer camp where he was physically active for 6. 5 hours per day (2 hours of tennis in the morning and 2 hours swim and dive in the afternoon and 2.

5 hours of enrichment class in between) monday thru friday for 7 weeks without missing a day… i continue to give it to him now that he started kindergarten. it is the one thing he consumes off from his lunch box without fail.

he says it tastes great and makes him feel full. My son is not good at eating independently yet, so I do not feel bad if he does not consume all his snacks and lunch because of the nutrional value this milk offers.

He is a SEA thalassemia carrier; hence cow’s milk is contraindicated. Almond and Soy milk are great alternatives to get his daily calcium and protein daily intake. Another wonderful thing is, It is shelf-stable, I am able to stock up and Walmart has the best price out there.

It is packaged in a skinny container with a straw attached to it — makes it easy and convenient for my son’s age and his tiny hands.

My daughter is allergic to cow’s milk and all tree nuts so soy milk is the only thing she can drink, when we found out they made a chocolate milk of soy milk I bought it for her. She loved it! I pack it in her school lunch and she has it for her breakfast as well but lately its been super hard to get this.

Now it’s hard to get the product shipped, not sure what’s going on but wish there weren’t so many restrictions or guidelines because this is the only thing my daughter will drink.

I’ve been purchasing Silk Chocolate Soy Milk for a couple years and it’s great in my coffee. Makes a a soy mocha treat! I especially like these small containers since I only have to open a little bit at a time.

Each individual one lasts for about 4 or 5 cups of coffee (instead of regular cream).

I’ve been looking for a good tasting plant milk for a while now, and so far every brand has been a disappointment, including Ripple. I bought the unsweetened original because I want a plant milk, not a shake.

I feel like it should taste good on its own. The Ripple “milk” has a tan coloring that is kind of off-putting. The texture has obvious, noticeable thickening. The taste is both oatey and chalky. Not milk-like.

I found it unpleasant to drink by the glass. Even pouring it over cereal did not help. It simply made the cereal taste bad. I’m sure I’ll find a plant milk I enjoy eventually. Unfortunately, Ripple is not it.

So I decided to try the original oat milk one day when everything else was out of stock. and I THOUGHT IT WAS SO FREAKIN GOOD. Nice and creamy I could even taste the oats a lil! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! So anyways I buy another half gallon a few days later of the same exact kind (original) and let me tell you.

2 completely different products. The second gallon was super watery and just not tasty AT ALL even had a weird color. I ate a bowl of cereal with it anyways but dumped the rest of the jug. I don’t understand how the 2 different jugs could be so different.

After having that nasty bit I’m probably not going to buy this brand anymore. Makes me wonder what kind of standard they have because of how different the quality was. I’ll definitely be looking into other brands of oat milk though.

Something more reliable as far as standards go. I can’t gamble with my milk y’all buying this hit or miss product. I want some good quality oat milk.

Amazing density for recipes and everyday use if you miss the heaviness whole milk provides in your cooking. Yes, it has sunflower oil which, depending on the type used, is rich in linoleic (omega 6) and/or oleic acid.

And for anyone who I interested, here’s some more info … On the Up: Sunflower oil is low in saturated fat, promotes healthy skin/improves skin hydration, speeds wound healing and may even increase the rate of cell regeneration.

Sunflower oil gifts us with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and heart-healthy benefits. On the Down: Too much Omega 6s is already a problem faced by many Americans and this causes weight gain, heart problems and inflammation in the body.

So – if you’re not planning on guzzling the entire carton in a day or two, in my opinion this is still a million times better than all of the Downs for Dairy.

This oatmilk is fantastic. It is my favorite so far and I have tried Chobani, Oatly and Minor Figures. The creaminess is incredible. What isn’t fantastic though is people leaving reviews that aren’t relevant to the product.

Like those of you who are disgruntled about a bad delivery or substitution. Please stop. I personally take ratings seriously when purchasing a product and almost didn’t buy this because of it. I’m glad I checked the reviews to see that many of the “bad reviews” are just people who don’t actually understand what a product review is.

*eyeroll* Walmart should also at least have some type of algorithm to filter out these senseless reviews.

Super cheap. Add sweetener/chocolate syrup/keto meal replacement mixes that will never lead you to ketosis because you will always eat carbs until the day the giant sky crane hoists you out of the house because the fire department won’t knock your third wall down to get you outside.

Love the milk have been purchasing it for years. We always like to keep the kind that doesn’t have to be in the refrigerator handy. However the delivery made me realize that maybe this isn’t the best option as it was delivered in 98* weather and I walked outside to pick it up as soon as it was delivered however the box was so hot that so was the milk.

Ever had hot almond milk? It’s bitter. We will not be drinking this milk unfortunately. Other than that I recommend you do buy it in store or same day delivery refrigerated.

Love that it has a natural higher calcium content. 440 mg per 8oz. Love that it it has no sugar or cholesterol. I could so easily meet my calcium requirements without calcium supplements which can cause coronary artery disease.

I have osteoporosis, so don’t want to consume tons of dairy either. It made me extremely constipated. That resolved itself when I stopped using it. Flavor, you can get used to. Which I actually liked it better than milk.

Cost is ridiculous though.

Has the mouthfeel of regular milk, not too thick and oily like some dairy-free alternatives. Maybe the tiniest bit sweeter than cow’s milk, almost like a lactose-free milk. There is the slightest tinge of pea flavor, but you really have to think about it.

It doesn’t bother me, I find this milk quite tasty. The photo on the site shows cartons with straws, but the one I bought has the updated packaging with screw-on lids. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it as an occasional treat when I’m craving something milky.

My daughter has a milk allergy so she is exclusively using Ripple kids milk. She absolutely loves it. We bought this to have a yummy shelf stable option when we are out and about so I don’t have to mess with ice packs.

I’ve been using dairy alternative milks for a long time. I’ve tried many different options from many different companies. This is my favorite for taste and texture thus far. It has a creamy consistency (similar to oat milks).

It doesn’t have a particularly pronounced flavor; for reference, according to my tastes oatmilk taste like oatmeal, almond milk always tastes slightly stale, coconut milk doesn’t taste like much of anything, and soy milk is just repulsive.

I love this in my coffee, and with granola or oatmeal. I’m not one to drink a glass of milk by itself, so I can’t speak to that experience. I like that it has some protein. I’m going to ding it a star and a half because I do have some reservations about the ingredient list; I really don’t like canola oil, and I’m a little wary of “natural aroma.

” It has good things going for it, but it could be even better. It’s non-GMO, but I’d prefer it were organic, as well. It is shelf-stable, which is a big plus for me. There are similar products I haven’t yet tried with ingredient lists I like a little better.

For now, I’m enjoying this.

I originally looked for this product in the refrigerated aisle due to the word “milk” in the name. I couldn’t find it anywhere! Then, I thought to look where the boxed almond milks and alternative milks would be and BOOM! it stood out immediately from the other products on the shelf.

The striped two-toned box was definlety unique. Once I got it home, I found this product very easy to open and did not struggle one bit to remove the twist cap or the foil seal on the inside. There appeared to be some seperationg at the top which was not offputting because similar products have the same.

So, I shut it back up and shook vigourously and then poured myself a small taste. I did not like it very much at first but it was much much better after I added a couple ice cubes and let it get cold.

I was curious how this would taste in some coffee (I like chai tea and coffee mixed together in the morinings). I was very surprised how much creamier this product made my favorite drink! I usually use a well-known creamer product due to the sweetness it adds but I have always wished I had a healthier version of it because of all the fake ingredients.

This was both of those desires in one. Not onlyl did it add marked sweetness, it has so many more health benefits and little to no downsides. At tthis point I started reading the information on the back of the box and really appreciated the story of the makers.

The mission statement and value statements were inspiring and made me feel good about supporting them in their goals. Also, it offered a few more suggestions on how to use this milk in other foods like smoothies and cereals.

Overall, I would rate this product a 9 of 10 with only one point lost on the minor fact that it was slightly difficult to find what area it would be located in the store. I look foward to trying the other flavors available especially the barista style milk.

I was not deterred one bit from the fact tht this was made of peas and did not detect any traditionally green pea flavor. I will recommend this to my friends and family with confidence they will enjoy it as well.

I have to say I was very impressed with how this performed in my Nespresso machine. It froths up really well and pairs very well with coffee for a vegan flat white. It didn’t seperate or curdle which is always a danger of dairy alternatives Taste is very good.

Mild and neutral and doesn’t tastes of pea at all (I’ve tried another brand of pea milk and it was the most disgusting artificial dairy alternative I’ve ever had!) Pea milk is one of the most sustainable dairy alts too which is a big plus although this is somewhat negated by the fact this comes from Sweden.

My only real concern is how healthy this as it’s biggest ingredient after water is. Oil. It’s only 2. 5% pea protein. Quite high fat and has added sugar masked as agave syrup which is just sugar still Overall very good for coffee but I prefer a less processed organic dairy alt where possible with no oil.

Only unsweetened almond milk I will buy! 10 year fan, will not switch brands! Delicious flavor and touch of vanilla. I hate the taste of cow’s milk (although I love plain Greek yogurt) and plain cow’s milk does awful things to my GI tract and hormonal cycle.

Silk almond milk makes me feel great and Target always has it in stock for a great price! I use it in smoothies and add a splash or two to coffee. I like it in cereal too. Glad the sodium is lower in this than other brands and no oil or sugar like some other non-dairy milk options.

I am the biggest fan of silk dark chocolate almond milk. My husband bought a carton and noone in the house liked it. Not wanting to see it go to waste I gave it another try. Now I drink about a carton every 2-3 days.

Ive noticed how my skin has become much more clear since I stopped drinking cows milk. My digestion has significantly improved and I don’t feel as bloted and full as I did drinking cows milk. I absolutly HAVE to have silk if I eat anything thats full of carbs.

I purchased two packets of this because it’s supposed to be shelf stable. I wanted to keep it for whenever the refrigerated seed milks run out. I used one box at the end of February, and that was good.

The second box I opened on March 3rd, and it poured out of the box like cottage cheese. I opened another box and it had the same consistency. I opened the second package, and low and behold, like the first box it was also curdled.

I didn’t think about expiration date, bcuz the milk I bought is based on the description of its “shelf stability”. There’s no expiration date on the box housing the six cartons of milk. I checked each carton, and they were all expired.

Buyer beware.

I’m off dairy for the Winter. The struggle is REAL. BUT this is the BEST dairy substitute (full fat version) so far. I have tasted almond, coconut milk, rice milk, soy milk as subs for coffee and this has made its way to the #1 (dairy substitute) coffee creamer spot.

NOTHING will ever replace the taste of creamer in your coffee but if you are looking for a sub, but this makes drinking coffee with non-dairy creamer complete again. You complete mmmmmY coffee? definitely worth a try.

Love that it’s Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Glyphosate-free, just wish is that they also had an ORGANIC option. Hopefully soon!.

WOW. Tried this tonight and it is hands down the best oatmilk I have ever tried. It’s delicious, and the consistency is just perfect. I dislike regular milk, except for the A2 brand. And the consistency of this Oatly is just like the A2.

Creamy, not watery at all. I’ve been consuming Planet Oat but felt like the formula changed recently, it’s very watery and no flavor so I’m so glad I discovered the Oatly brand. I wish the Oatly price was a bit lower but, I’ll keep repurchasing for sure! Quality makes it 100% worth it.

Oatly is the gold standard oatmilk brand, and Oatly Full Fat is the gold standard of Oatly. Seriously, before trying oatmilk I had tried every almond, macadamia, soy, rice, coconut, hemp, pea milk out there.

Once I tasted Oatly I knew I had finally ended my search. It’s creamy, but not in an “ew this has thickeners” way. The oat taste is mild and complimentary. It performs AMAZINGLY in coffee and tea, in fact this spring Starbucks will roll out Oatly to all of its stores nationwide, that’s right, instead of making their own proprietary oatmilk as they did with soy, coconut, and almond Starbucks decided to go with Oatly brand; why? after looking in to Oatly’s process it looks like they have a patented process that they’ve been using since the 70s.

That would explain why other brands like Silk and even Califia don’t come close. If you’ve been considering oatmilk or alternative milks: this is the one. I also recommend their ice creams.

Hey all you adult chocolate milk lovers, our time is finally upon us!! I ordered a double 12-pack of Slate after seeing their ads on Instagram and being smitten by the prospect of a better-for-you beloved childhood drink.

They arrived promptly in lovely, neat packaging and can be stored cold or room temperature. I’ve since taken to drinking one daily and they really hit the spot!! I would recommend shaking them up a bit since dark matter can settle on bottom, but beware that the can will fizz/rile up just a bit when you open after shaking.

Once I start working out again, I can see these becoming my go-to staples for post-workout recovery/happy-place indulgence. I don’t like coffee so I didn’t try that espresso one, but the dark and milk are absolutely divine!! Milk is richer than you would think and dark is not as rich as you’d imagine–they are both oddly balanced and (this is rare for me), but I don’t have a preference because they both make my chocolate sweet-tooth equally satisfied, but not overwhelmed.

I highly recommend this product! I like this company and I hope they continue the deals, practices, quality, and small-business perks that makes me want to purchase from them. In closing, please make a combo pack of just dark/milk chocolate WITHOUT the espresso.

Slate is a great protein drink alternative. Frankly, most protein drinks end up upsetting my stomach to some degree. Not the case with Slate. The only negative thing I noticed, at least for me anyway, is you really have to watch your caffein intake if you’re going to use the latte flavor.

It has the equivalent of two cups of coffee. So if you’re use to having caffein elsewhere throughout your day, adding this might be too much. So, I’ve opted not to do the latte flavor again. Otherwise, I absolutely love the two chocolate options.

They don’t have the caffein that the latte does. I’ll be back again and again to reorder these two flavors.

Chocolate milk was my absolute favorite drink when I was a kid. Quik, Bosco, Ovaltine, I loved them all. Now, as an adult, I have come full circle. I have been trying to replace coffee in my diet, as part of an effort to reduce my blood pressure.

I was always a mocha drinker, so I figured why not drink a mocha, but without the coffee. In many studies, milk has been shown to have a suppressive effect on blood pressure. Plus, Slate chocolate milk is delicious, and low in sugar and fat.

Maybe I’m just looking for a way to incorporate chocolate milk in my diet again, but so far I’m enjoying the experiment.

Slate makes the perfect shake in the morning. I was truly blown away by the mocha late slate milk. As a fitness professional, I am always very cognizant when it comes to how I am fueling my body and let’s be honest half of the stuff out there has either way too many ingredients I have never heard of or just isn’t the best tasting.

Typically, I would always grab a $10 protein shake and a $4 cold brew after a morning workout. Now I have all of that in one for under $3. Not only does it taste great but it’s clean simple ingredient are truly good for me! I will always have a cold slate waiting for me in the morning after a workout now.

It’s creamy, smooth and just absolutely delicious. Perfect amount of caffeine – leaves you feeling energized with no jitters or crash.

I just tried this stuff and surprisingly really like this. It was very very tasty! I definitely recommend on giving it a try. It is great with cereal or just when you want a glass of it. It’s almost like a milkshake to me.

It curves my sweet tooth sometimes at night too. You should definitely give it a try! My husband says it’s a little too sweet for him but I really enjoy it. My stomach doesn’t do well with regular milk but with Silk Vanilla Almond Milk I can handle with no problem!! You should definitely try this one or any of the Almond milks flavors they offer.

You won’t regret it.

This is the only non-dairy milk I’ve found so far that tastes incredibly similar to real milk. It’s actually so rich and creamy that I water it down slightly to get it closer to 2% milk. It also lasts a very long time in the fridge, even after opening.

My only real issue with this milk is that it tastes different (bad) when heated, and forms a weird skin and clumpy bits when used in hot drinks. I only use this milk when cold because of this issue.

I won’t use the sweetened brand because I don’t know if anybody’s looked but there is a lot of sugar and added sugar in it. the taste i used the unsweetened temp but it isnt as creamy as it was more waterered down and just tastes different.

the price is good its on sale 2. 99 at meijer alot i stock up but i also use unsweetened vanilla almond milk and I also use the unsweetened vanilla oat milk. I just drink a glass of it every day. I don’t use it in coffees or teas or anything else.

I use this as the last topping. First I cook thick oatmeal on the stove. Set it on warm to let all of the water soak in. Remove from stove. Add a bit of coconut sugar, organic, crunchy, unsweetened cacao nibs, unsweetened shredded coconut.

Then I add this Hemp milk. I have dietary restrictions of dairy and sugar. This recipe is my homemade to satisfy my dietary requirements.

If you’re looking for an alternative to cows milk and looking for a plant based milk, tempt hemp milk is literally THE BEST! It tastes amazing and is great by itself, in cereal, with vegan cookies, and it’s really good in things like pancake mix or any recipe for baking.

Also the Tempt Chocolat hemp milk is to DIE FOR. Just saying. You NEED to try Tempt.

This product is terrible. It is watery but with slimy chunks floating in it. It is very poor tasting – imagine what might have passed as a budget milkshake in the early 80’s and you’ve about got it. I bought this at half price but it is still awful value as I threw most of it away.

and the second one went in the bin untouched as they aren’t worth drinking. When you look at the packaging you can see part of the problem. It reads like a ‘who’s who’ of ‘trendy’ causes. Sadly, making a decent drink obviously wasn’t one of them.

I regret wasting my money.

Tried this after loving other Rebel Kitchen products and really enjoyed this. Was very smooth and had a good chocolate flavour. Hard to believe this is vegan. Would highly recommend.

This contained large, nasty thick slimy bits ,despite vigorous, repeated shaking. Taste was chocolate but bit strange. So horrible it made me gag. Very small carton.
