I have never heard of this brand before, but my sister & I both have dry scalp/dandruff issues so we are always looking for products that might help. The typical store/name brands only help slightly & are most likely full of chemicals.

This Avalon Organics has been great in the month we have used it! It is organic, non GMO, not tested on animals & has natural essential oils! I can smell the tea tree & to me it smells somewhat like chamomile also.

It’s not the greatest scent but it doesn’t bother either of us. It works really well for us! She has long hair & mine is short, but we are Native American & have very thick course hair. It removes lots of flakes, leaves our hair feeling soft & moisturized & has really stopped the itch overall! It’s a great natural dandruff conditioner solution.

So I was using a certain shampoo brand for about a year, and over that time I began to have some issues. I started having really bad issues with dandruff, greasy hair and a scalp that ALWAYS hurt. I’ve used maple holistic for a few years now. Before that I used store bought things that promised results but never delivered. My hair is pretty, but it used to tangle easily and I had fairly awful dandruff.

The maple holistic Sage took care of the dandruff and leaves my hair thicker than normal. I use their silk conditioner too and that’s eliminated my tangles. There’s no good way to describe how bad my tangles were.

I woke up every morning with the white girl equivalent of an Afro and had to spend two hours minimum getting the knots free. I tried pulling my hair back into a ponytail, tried braiding it different ways and even tried sleeping in a bun.

And then there was the never ending detangler products I was always buying. Now I just wash and condition my hair, apply a drop of Biosilk for shine and I’m ready to go. It’s amazing! My husband also has horrible dandruff! I blend the sage shampoo with a bit of the degreaser shampoo for him to use.

We don’t have to attack him with a louse comb and a lint brush every morning! I’m so glad we found this awesome product line! <3.

The conditioner is great. The picture should only show one bottle. I understand why they did it with the pictures showing all the details you wouldn’t be able to see if the bottle faced you directly.

I’ll be buying a second bottle because it definitely works. Especially in this weather. Less scratching and itching which causes less frizzy hair in this heat. lathering up with this conditioner you can tell it has some type of oil in it that calms your locks and feels like you are putting a protective layer on them.

I have bad dandruff and a very itchy scalp. The shampoos I’ve used smell terrible, leaving my hair smelling like tar. This dandruff shampoo smells so amazing! After the first use, my scalp wasn’t itching anymore and my dandruff is almost clear.

I’ve used it two more times and love this dandruff shampoo. It is also ok to use on my highlighted hair, which most dandruff shampoos are bad for colored hair. I’m super happy with this shampoo and even more happy to have found what works for my dandruff and itchy scalp.

I’ve been using this shampoo for over 3 years now, so I thought I’d leave a review with my extensive experience using it. First of all, this shampoo completely clears up my dandruff (itchiness/flakiness etc.

), which after all, is the point, right? Sometimes I will run out and use my partners shampoo (also cruelty free, no SLS/parabens etc. ), which is always a mistake as the dandruff always comes back almost immediately.

But again, as soon as I’m back on the Jason train, it disappears! When I initially started using it, it took around 1 month for it to take effect and clear up my dandruff. 1 month for me is around 8-10 washes (2 per week).

I had already been using natural shampoo for years so I didn’t get any of the ‘greasiness’ that some other people have complained about getting (which you will always get initially if this is your first time trying natural shampoo!!).

The only thing I don’t like about this shampoo is that is doesn’t lather all that well. It’s pretty thick and can be difficult to spread around your hair, I often find myself using double the amount to coat my full head (and I only have mid-length hair, I can’t imagine if it was long!).

In saying that, once it’s on there and I’ve re-wet it a couple of times, it still does a good job at cleaning my hair. I most often get away with only washing it once a week, without it getting to greasy the day before I wash it, so I don’t deal with the thickness problem too much.

To summarise: 1. If this is your first time using natural shampoo, your hair will be greasier than normal to begin with. Your hair will be used to getting all of its natural oils stripped from it, whereas natural shampoo gently cleans your hair, and leaves you natural oils alone.

Persist with it and I guarantee soon enough, you’ll be able to go days without washing your hair and still have it feeling fresh and healthy. 2. This shampoo really does work. I struggled with chronic dandruff for so long and tried almost everything to alleviate it, I would never go without this now.

A miracle worker? Most definitely.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo conditioner dup is perfect for summer and humid weather but i will suggest it not to use in winter unless you have oily scalp or oily hair. I have normal hair and normal scalp which tends to get dry in winters and this duo alone is not enough.

So I use this duo alternatively with my moisturizing shampoo-conditioner that time. Also The body shop does mention that this is for normal hair. Both shampoo and conditioner are free from silicons and dyes but Shampoo does contain SLS.

I love using it. It is very good purifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner duo and works better when used together. My hair feel cleaner than ever whenever i use this duo. This is one of the mildest one in this category I have used so far.

I am definitely going to repurchase in summers.

If you have dry hair tips but roots that can get oily, you’ll be really happy with this! The other shampoos I tried before dried out my hair tips even more and it was a big problem for me. This shampoo really helps my hair to maintain balance.

It smells good and also good with any problem I’ve faced (dandruff, dryness, oily hair). Definitely going to repurchase it.

I had every intension of NOT ordering the Green Tea and Tea Tree Shampoo Set. One weak moment and I ordered…what was I doing? Why did I need another cleaning shampoo set…I had the ACV set. When my order arrived , I said to myself, oh well! It was history! I tried it and an instant love! Fresh and so clean my hair felt and it smells so refreshing too! How could I not love it! I love the way it makes my hair feel when i lather the shampoo and conditioner in my hair. The texture gives it a nice thick scrub and while rinsing it smoothes out all snarls in my hair and leaves softness in each strand.

It also smells wonderfully! This is my first time feeling such amazing feeling before during,& after.

Thank you for the products as I love working with the brand! However, I guess I was under the impression the teatree shampoo would give my scalp of fresh feel. Other teatree shampoos I’ve used in the past make my scalp feel likes it breathing and I really liked that feeling because I could relate it to being clean.

If you’re anything like me, your hair dries out if you wash it too often, but your scalp dries out if you go too long without washing. Especially in winter, when the dry air sucks all the moisture out of everything.

Enter As I Am Dry Itchy Scalp care. It works as well as their coconut cowash to clean hair, but it has gentle ingredients to give the scalp extra cleansing. I can go a couple extra days without washing my hair, thanks to this cowash.

The tea tree oil scent is powerful, which, if you’ve ever been near tea tree oil, you know is unavoidable. I enjoy the scent, though, and I love how fresh and minty my bathroom smells after I use this.

I also find it doesn’t linger long, and the leave-in conditioner, unless you also use the Dry Itchy Scalp Care kind, is enough to overwhelm any lingering scent entirely. The As I Am resources recommend this for types 3 and 4 hair, but I’m solidly 2c, and I haven’t noticed any weighing-down.

This washes out really cleanly. But, if you have types 2a or 2b, your results may vary from mine.

I only write reviews when I’m attempting to steer consumers away from a terrible product OR when I’m completely enamored by a product. This review is of the latter. I have very very thin (imagine the diameter of a quarter when put in a ponytail), fine wavy hair that when curled with a curling iron straightens out within an hour.

My sister, is the opposite. She has MASSIVE, very very thick, very curly hair and tons of it (naturally I’m jealous). We both suffer from terrible dandruff. She was able to get it under control with this product.

I was hesitant to try it b/c I thought it would be too much for my hair, but boy was I wrong! Within the first use it transformed my hair and scalp- silky, shiny, soft and FLAKE-FREE. others. I use it twice a week and it eliminated the flaking within 2 weeks. I shampoo my hair twice with it each time (rinse and repeat), massaging my scalp when lathering. Highly highly effective and actually kept my curls looking nice.

Cons; the smell is very strong and it’s a bit pricey for the size, but I’m very happy with this shampoo. I don’t notice the smell after I’m out of the shower so it doesn’t linger on my hair, just a bit off-putting when using it.

Briogeo gifted me the Briogeo Scalp Revival™ MegaStrength+ Dandruff Relief Shampoo in exchange for my honest opinion. I’ve been using the Briogeo Scalp Revival™ MegaStrength+ Dandruff Relief Shampoo a couple times a week in my haircare routine and there is a noticeable difference in my scalp health.

The shampoo comes in an easy to use pop-cap bottle but I feel like this is NOT the best dispensing method. This shampoo has a strong tea tree oil scent so if you are not a fan of the scent, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The shampoo has a nice consistency and lathers pretty well but is a on the stronger side in terms of ingredients that help fight dandruff so it might not be for you if you just have minor dandruff issues.

I really like the Briogeo Scalp Revival™ MegaStrength+ Dandruff Relief Shampoo and would definitely recommend it but I wouldn’t recommend using it daily. I would like to also mention because of the cost and the strong ingredients, I wouldn’t recommend a double wash with this shampoo.

I like to use another shampoo for my first shampoo and then use this one after. While it is pretty moisturizing, I still follow up with a conditioner on my ends.

This was surprisingly great. I can feel it slightly, but it’s not stingy. I definitely wouldn’t be getting it near my eyes as another review mentions (?) but on my scalp it’s been fine. My dandruff has flared with the sudden cold snap, and stress has led to me scratching at it (despite no itching).

I currently use the SachaJuan Scalp Shampoo, and I usually use the Shu Uemara Radiance Shampoo to remove product first. While I still love these products, I felt that they weren’t quite tackling the issue as quickly as I needed.

I used this daily at first and then dropped back to every few days, then 1-2 times a week. It’s really soothed my scalp and it hasn’t affected the condition of my hair (if anything it’s more voluminous and less oily too).

It’s a world apart from the whipped charcoal scrub that Briogeo also has, in my opinion. You don’t need much of this (the bottle does seem small but I’ve hardly used much at all), it lathers beautifully, and is more effective.

This is a product I will be happy to repurchase. For others reading, I have super fine long hair and not a lot of it. It’s prone to flyaways and frizz, tangles easily, and tends to flatten on my scalp.

As well as being oily, my scalp is also dry (eczema/psoriasis flares).

So far I’ve only used it once but am really impressed. My nasty swamp scalp hasn’t felt this clean in years. My flat hair has volume and the lengths are lightly moisturized. moisturized. I used the scalp revival exfoliator in the jar years ago but didn’t care for it.

I like the no added fragrances or silicones because I have low porosity strands and extremely sensitive skin. My face did not react when it got all over me washing it off which is rare. If I feel it becomes less effective, I will just follow it up with a coal tar shampoo (yeah I know, the dreaded coal tar) for more sticking power on the dermal cells.

Coal tar works best when the stuff that has already flaked off is removed. You have to let this shampoo marinate on your head a few minutes under a shower cap or else it doesn’t really get in there. It smells like tea tree oil (not overpowering) right out of the bottle but I didn’t notice the smell sticking around on my hair.

After using Dove’s anti-dandruff shampoo & conditioner, I was desperately looking for a new product that will actually moisturize my hair and soothe & prevent itchiness. By the way, I have mixed hair with a 3B/3C curl pattern.

Since I’ve used Mizani products in the past, I searched them up to see that they had an anti-dandruff line. So far I’ve ordered and used the conditioner since I’m trying to finish up my Selsun Blue shampoo.

There was a noticeable difference after using this product! The conditioner moisturized my hair while giving a pleasant tingle to my scalp. Since using this conditioner, my hair and scalp are no longer dry and itchy.

I did buy Mizani’s scalp care sooth scalp lotion, but I have yet to use it since the conditioner itself does an amazing job. I will definitely be buying this again!.

I’ve been trying different shampoos and conditioners for over two years now desperately trying to cure my dry scalp. I’ve never had any itchiness, just a dry flaky scalp for the past several years. It’s been so bad these past few months that I’ve constantly worrn hats to hide it.

This trial and error of at least 20 different shampoos and conditioners has been such a frustrating process, using different products for a few months at a time, hoping they work but they never do. It either works for my scalp but my hair feels like straw or it works for my hair but my scalp is a disaster.

This is the only product that has ever worked for me! While I’m only two weeks in to using this shampoo and conditioner, I’ve noticed an insane difference in my hair texture and my scalp. My hair is so silky smooth while there are only a few microscopic flakes left in sight.

I am in LOVE with this conditioner, though I would say this is more of a treatment, so beware the description – the actual bottle says this should be used about twice a week, and unless you have a unique hair/scalp type that can handle that, please note that this is really more to treat scalp issues and is not intended to be a daily conditioner.

I learned that the hard way, but even so, I am very pleased with it. I use this in conjunction with the incredible Adwoa Moisturizing Shampoo, which contains mint oils and extracts, and using these both gave me a soothed scalp and a cooling sensation that lasted all day, quite literally.

I usually feel itchiness regularly throughout the day and I realized halfway through my work day after using this conditioner only once, that I had barely felt itchy at all. And in fact, my scalp felt perceptively cooled and calmed, hours after showering.

I will say this conditioner has a strong floral scent but it wasn’t beyond the pale and it doesn’t linger all day. And the texture is very slippery and creamy – if you have ever used a box color, you know those packets of conditioner that come with the box, the ones that are really viscous and almost slimy, but detangle your hair like nobody’s business? The texture of this conditioner is very similar, especially if you use a good amount as instructed on the bottle.

I really liked that feature, though I didn’t expect it to give so much slip! I will agree with other reviewers that the consistency is quote thick, but I didn’t have a lot of trouble getting it out of the bottle.

Maybe they have improved it? All in all I highly recommend this for anyone suffering from a dry, irritated, itchy scalp, and you should take a look at the Adwoa shampoo too – using those together was an absolute joy, and your scalp will thank you.

Questo shampoo è l’unico che io abbia trovato in commercio a tenere il mio problema pienamente sotto controllo, adattandosi allo stesso tempo alle esigenze dei miei capelli. Occorre qualche utilizzo per comprendere a pieno come usarlo, all’apparenza magari asciuga un po’ i capelli, ma se si trova la combo giusta di prodotti é veramente valido.

Io lo utilizzo assieme al balsamo leggero (sempre Phitofilos) e alla spuma a tenuta morbida ☁️.

For the last 4 years I’d been dealing with a ridiculously itchy scalp. My scalp would flare and it would become red and inflamed. I would also get bumps throughout my head. I’ve tried everything, all the shampoos you could think of (the tar shampoo was only a 2 day trial bc i just couldn’t handle the scent) and nothing would help.

I took advise from people telling me i needed to “train” my hair. I went from washing my hair daily to only washing twice a week. This year i started noticing that the longer i went in between washes, the worse the itch and inflammation became.

I started researching more and figured out that dandruff is usually NOT a sign of dry scalp but actually occurs due to an oily scalp. I started washing my hair every other day and realizes that it helped my scalp a little but the inflammation and red bumps would not disappear.

My doctor recommended i try this shampoo and in all honesty i almost didn’t try it out bc i was so over these drug store shampoos that didn’t seem to help. I’m so glad i picked it up because it was instant relief! I literally used this once and my scalp immediately felt better.

I’ve now been using this for a month and a half and i will never try anything else! FYI: I use this directly on my scalp. I put some on my fingertips and massage my scalp. I try to let it sit for 3 minutes before i rinse it off.

I use a different shampoo for the ends of my hair. I never tried this on my entire hair so I’m not sure how it makes your actual hair feel once it dries but i will say that my scalp feels better than ever.

I don’t have any more red itchy inflamed bumps on my scalp. After 4 long years my scalp finally feels healthy again!.

absolutely works for seborrheic dermatitis and fungal acne. it is drying to hair and skin so a conditioner (or moisturizer if using it as a skin cleanser for fungal acne) is needed. the bottle is small and when using on the scalp, the bottle gets used up quickly.

annoying that they make such a small bottle; it actually creates more plastic waste to go through small bottles faster than it would to go through a larger bottle that isn’t significantly more plastic.

please make much larger bottles! the smell is decent; not great or bad. would be nice if they made different scents too or fragrance-free. if using for seborrhea, you need to use it several times a week, pretty much forever.

depending on the cause of it, it never actually goes away; this product just controls the overgrowth and subsequent scaling/flaking/itching, because that yeast is something you will always have on your skin.

Listen, ever since covid my hair and scalp have been a nightmare. I never, ever had issues with my scalp before covid. Welp, here we are. Itchy scalp and hair jumping out of the follicle as fast as possible.

Nizoral is great. A little goes a long way. Works so well to calm my scalp and the flakes I did have disappeared within the first week. But, it won’t work very well if you just shampoo it in and then wash out immediately.

You’re going to have to work it into the scalp and let it sit there for awhile. I have curly hair, so I totally understand what the other reviewers mean about dry and frizzy hair when using this. But, try to just get it on your scalp, not the mids/ends of your hair.

I try to coat the length of the hair with a heavy conditioner while this sits on my scalp. I know it’s not always easy, but it will help with the drying. I also had to switch conditioners from curly girl method friendly silicone free brands to silicones and it has helped a lot.

This is great! It doesn’t keep my hair clean for as long as my other shampoos. But I can feel how good this is for my hair. It doesn’t leave any film on my hair and I have noticed that I have less hair falling out now.

I love the sweet pea scent! I was worried that it would be to strong and trigger a migraine. But it’s lovely. It’s not very strong. Just right. I have 2A hair type and this shampoo is making my curls more defined.

My hair feels light and moisturized. I do have to use about double product compared to my old shampoo, but I don’t mind. Carina Organics cost almost 3 times less than the salon brand I was using before.

I can’t say enough good things about the carina hair conditioners. I’ve been using a bar shampoo from another company that over time left my hair dry and brittle. Carina conditioner saved my hair. The sweet pea scent is my favorite.

It seems to be the most gentle on my hair and I’ve now begun buying the conditioner in bulk packages that last me around a year. My hair is silky and soft now thanks to carina. My fiance always comments on how great each scent smells.

I can’t believe those natural ingredients work so well and could smell so good. Especially the vinigar in them (yuck) but you can’t even smell a hint of it! It’s awesome! I also use their daily lotion which I love and plan to try their shampoo next.

I do wish they offered their products in plastic free options like conditioner bars but the products are too good to stop using. One other thing that I wanted to mention is their customer service. They are so responsive and courteous.

When my package was lost in the mail, they contacted me to let me know and sent me a full new box with extra free items for my wait. They also hand-highlight the delivery instructions on the box to ensure they’re seen And when I made a bulk order, they included a pump for my bottle when I requested one in the comments (not knowing there’s a place to buy them on the website).

I have psoriasis pretty much on a large amount of my scalp. And have a hard time finding a product to work and reduce the amount I have. This stuff works for me. Doesn’t burn. Doesn’t dry my hair. Keeps my hair healthy and reduces my psoriasis.

I have tried it all. About a year or so ago I tried a tar shampoo for my scalp psoriasis and it made my hair brittle and break off at the root. As someone with long hair it was pretty heartbreaking to think I had to choose between long healthy hair and a flake free calm scalp.

This shampoo gives me everything. My hair feels clean, deranged, and hydrated. My scalp is flake-free when I use this regularly (when I skip more than a few days at a time some flakes come back, which is even more evidence of how amazing this stuff works).

My broken hair is healing and growing, all thanks to this shampoo. also, for those hesitant because of the price- I AM CHEAP!!!!! and never thought I would buy a small shampoo bottle for over $20, but this bottle lasts me about 3-4 months! It’s honestly an amazing value.

I love this shampoo and conditioner. At first when I bought it I thought it was ridiculously expensive for the size, but after using it I don’t mind paying for it. The bottle lasted me about 3 months and I have long thick hair.

Nothing else has ever worked for my dandruff and if it has, it stopped working after a while of using the product. This product kept working and my dandruff was HORRIBLE. It would look like it snowed in my head very noticeable.

This got rid of it 100%. The only bad things are I think it might have been causing me some hair loss, and it takes forever to rinse out. I don’t know if it’s just me but I have to take a long time rinsing everything out or else my hair seems like it sticks together and has a film over it or something.

For that I give it 4 stars.

During my pregnancy and after I gave birth to my child who is now 3 years old I had really bad dandruff. It was soooo noticible and itchy. So embarrasing! 1st I tried the green tea shampoo which did help, but I am one of the ones that don’t like to stick with just a certain type or brand.

I tried many other shampoos that didn’t help. Only made it worse to the point that dandruff even got to the hairline on my forehead. Even much more embarrasing. I started using tea tree oil and it didn’t seem to work so I thought there was no reason to go back to using tea tree shampoo again.

I wanted to give this one a try after reading the reviews. I am amazed and have recommended it a million times. It worked since the 1st wash. It’s like a miracle. I recommend it 100000000%.

The scent they have added to this product is overwhelming and awful. And the weirdest and most offensive thing, considering it’s a product marketed to mature populations, is that the odor is exactly that old lady smell: rose and vinegar (some say mustard).

You know it when you smell it. Anyway, that’s what it smells like. I did try it, because if it worked well, I would figure out a fix and just not buy it again. But it doesn’t work particularly well. It doesn’t balm like I expected it balm.

Fortunately, the odor didn’t linger after styling, so I didn’t have to wash my hair again, but I just tossed it. Didn’t work well enough to justify enduring that scent for any period of time.

I use Alternas Caviar Anti Aging Shampoo and love it so I figured the extreme and more expensive version would be even better. I may not be the right user since I am not suffering from a lot of hair loss outside of aging and the ordinary? I was shocked by the strong perfume smell and even my husband had trouble sleeping because of the scent.

I looked and fragrance is the third or fourth ingredient. That can’t be good. I usually only wash twice a week but with this, my hair was really oily after a day or two. I can’t speak to it’s hair loss help, but by smell and feel, I could not use this.

I am returning and buying the anti aging version instead.

I like this masque, the ingredients are great and it is super thick and detangling but the packaging isn’t the best for how thick it is. The smell is pretty strong and floral and it lasts until you wash it again so if you don’t like floral smells or strong smells I would skip this.

The health of my hair has definitely improved. For reference i have fine, frizzy, curly hair and lots of it. I also frequently heat style my hair.
