Despite emerging on the marketplace in 1960, this combat shoe has remained an iconic feature of the brand 60 years later, seemingly most individuals has at least owned one pair. These combat boots are notable for being versatile for both a casual and dressier style and can cater to various aesthetics such as winter, workwear, streetstyle, grunge and even summer outfits.

With a matte coat with simplistic yellow stitching, they are instantly recognisable and bound to impress others. In terms of sizing, this style is unisex and has a slightly wider fit in the width, therefore it is recommended to size down to the next full size or if you are a half size that should still be applicable.

Other tips I would give to interested buyers are that wearing two socks to help wear in the shoe is a great initiative that can assist in alleviating any pain as well as the eight eye hole for laces allows flexibility of different methods to make it a tighter fit.

I love my new boots. vegan 1460s. First pair of DMs ever and I love them. I’m a size 6. 5 but often find shoes run big, so I ordered the 6 first. They were way too small. Then I got the 7, way too big.

Then I got the 6. 5 which fit lengthways but they were too deep, which makes them feel too like they’ll slip off, with regular or even thick socks. So I was a bit sad. thought I might just have to go without.

But throughout my 2 returns, Rob was awesome. He made it easy to get a refund, replied to me quickly always, and gave me a replacement 10% off (for first purchase) each time without any fuss. And when the third size was still not fitting right, I asked him to phone me and he did.

Super friendly and super helpful. Rob told me that the vegan ones don’t stretch, so do not size down in the hope you’ll grow into them like you might with leather ones. He also explained they’re unisex sizes, and the 6.

5s are wider than the 6. I asked if insoles were likely to help and he said to try, and if I needed the returns period extended to allow me to do so, that would be fine. So hats off to Rob for being so ridiculously awesome despite all my needy emails!! Anyway, I got the insoles and, with medium thick socks, they fit!! They are so comfy, look awesome, and I’m so glad I persevered! Thanks!.

Have been wearing the shoes off and on for two weeks now and still haven’t broken them in. Watching other people with jealousy as they seem so comfortable in similar boots (although they are often leather versions).

I am hoping it will change soon (I can’t remember my vegan Doc Chelsea boots taking so long to become comfi!)… I also wore them in rain the other day and got wet feet, I had not expected that; my feet feel like ice cubes on dry days – I’m guessing the rigidity won’t allow my feet to roll properly so blood flow is diminished.

The tongue of the right boot slips to the side, the left one stays put. All in all, not very happy just yet, but hoping for improvement!.

Product: 4. 5/5. Super comfy and true to size with leather ankle rim finish and classic Wallabee pyramid tab – the darker sole works really nice with matching darker colours in overall outfit builds.

I would have liked a bit more description/images to show the laces a) primary laces have a gold metal aglet that feels a tad tacky b) secondary pair of supplied laces are round with a burgundy black and grey fleck.

Store Experience: 1/5. I picked up this pair on click & collect from Brighton Churchill Square Store. Three members of staff seemed very preoccupied chatting whilst no one greeted on entrance, even though I was the only customer in the entire shop.

I asked about the Clarks brand story based on a series of shoe moulds on an artwork feature behind the till, but no one answered my question with any interest, let alone vigour. My shoes were given to me in haste and no one checked if I was happy with my purchase as I took a look at them in the box.

I understand that retail assistants may be busy but on a mid-week mid-morning in an empty shop, I expect more especially as customer who considers themselves a Clarks brand ambassador. Brand heritage may not be important to every customer but in a consumer-facing world, store experience is paramount unless brand stores are happy to lose out to stockists of multiple brand names, both in the physical and online retail space.

I love Clark’s Wallabees. I’ve always had to get the mens version because I’m a woman that wears a size 11 and Clark’s doesn’t make Womens Wallabees larger than 10. 5. Oddly, there is a shoe sold at Rack Room Shoes and Journeys, the Padmora, which is identical to a Wallabees and goes up to Womens 11.

I’m hopeful Clark’s will eventually make Wallabees in Womens 11 but won’t hold my breath. This shoe is great. I got the mens 9. 5 and it fits perfectly. Not too wide. I’ll continue to buy Wallabees. They are comfortable, stylish shoes.

Hopefully my prayers for Womens 11 will one day be answered.

I don’t normally post reviews, but feel so strongly about these shoes that I wanted to add my voice to the chorus of negative reviews about the “new” Wallabee. which they strangely still call an “Original” even though it is effectively a different shoe.

I have worn Wallabees as for 21 years, with a couple of pairs having been re-soled. Given the high cost of re-soling these days, I bought a new pair this time around. Although I saw all of the negative reviews here that were essentially saying the new (made in Vietnam) Wallabee had problems, I figured I’d roll the dice and see how they seemed.

My prior pairs were made in China, and this new pair I’m trying is made in Vietnam. Having now tried these on at home, I will be sending them back and never buying Wallabees again, at least until Clarks changes how they are made.

These are a complete disaster, for all the reasons others have mentioned in negative reviews: – Most notably, the previous flat insert has been replaced with a glued-in heal cup that runs about 3/4 length of the shoe.

This then dumps the ball of your foot directly onto the suede interior of the shoe, rather than having some support from the original flat insole. The heal cup/arch piece is not very wide, completely guides your foot into a single position and feels rigid and cheap.

This also effectively creates more heel drop by elevating the back of your foot and pushing you to put more pressure on the ball of your foot and toes. To those accustomed to older Wallabees, I can’t stress this enough: if you compared China with Vietnam Wallabees with your eyes closed, you’d think they were completely different shoes.

They look similar on the outside, but that’s it. – I can also confirm that the foot opening at the top of the boot is indeed narrower/smaller. – The soles do indeed feel different from the older crepe.

Part of this is because the upper feels so much different, but the soles have less cushion and seem narrower and more rigid. My advice to classic Wallabee fans: hold onto your China ones and see about re-soling.

Or, do a search for “original Wallabee Ireland” and you will find that the original Irish company that made Wallabees for a couple of decades is now back in business with Portugal-made Wallabee style boots that, by most accounts, sounds like they are truer to the original.

PS: I’ve given these a 1-star rating for style as well, even though they look very similar to the original Wallabee. What good is the look of a shoe if you can’t wear it any more?!.

I love THESE. Super cute! I’ve always wanted a pair of pointed toed shoes but they can be very intimidating. These have a very nice rounded point to them that makes them more subtle. I have wider feet and tend to be a size 9 to size 10 depending on the shoes/ brand.

I read other comments saying to size up and I’m glad that I did. Very comfy and doesn’t smoosh my toes.

I love that they have an zipper on the Heel. It makes it so easy to get into the shoe. It’s an awesome shoe.

I fell in love with these shoes and bought a pair in size 11. I am a size 12. I read the reviews and recommendations that they run large and will be a size bigger then you order. So I took the chance in good faith and bought the 11`s, as the 12`s were not available.

Well when they came they were far too small for my feet, and sadly I had to return them. Am still waiting for my refund. I see now other colours are available in this shoes in size 12, but white is NOT! If white becomes available again I will order them in size 12.

I bought these shoes online to go with my wedding dress. I typically wear an 8. 5 size shoes, but my feet were swimming in these, and I do not have narrow feet. They are gorgeous. For practicality reasons, I decided to go with a Naturalizer ballet flat that I bought at the same time that had a better fit.

I would give them 5 stars in elegance, but I can’t really judge how comfy they are since I don’t get too far with them.

I ordered this shoe after searching online, as I wanted something comfortable, yet beautiful to wear on Easter Sunday. It has a touch a pink, but I wasn’t sure how much the pink would come through. I ordered it to be delivered to my closest DSW store, in case the color or fit didn’t work.

Thank goodness both worked out! The shoe is very comfortable, and I received compliments on them too!.

I usually wear a U. S. size 7. 5 and got the size 5 (UK) in the Rustic Brown boots. I bought these to wear for work and hiking. But I’d say they’re better for walking around town and have great traction, but the ankle area is not supportive/sturdy enough for hiking.

They definitely needed to be broken in – the back of the boots pressed into my leg right below my calves when I first started wearing them. It hurt so bad for a good week, but I toughed it out and then for a month I wore them every single day and they were perfect.

But a couple of weeks ago a deep crease formed only on the right boot, right above my heel (Achilles tendon area). It’s so incredibly painful to walk in the right boot now. My Achilles tendon is swollen and bruised from the deep crease pushing into it every step I make.

Meanwhile the left boot is completely comfortable with no deep crease in that location. This was after only 1 month of wear. One would think that a $200 pair of boots would be a bit sturdier and better constructed to not bend so much after 1 month of wear.

I’ve never had this occur before with one boot getting a crease so deep I couldn’t walk because of the pain. Blundstone wouldn’t replace the one boot as they deemed it normal and I can’t return them for a refund because I wore them.

Unfortunately Blundstone’s product isn’t sturdy or worth the hype.

These are. the most amazing comfortable, stylish, absolutely POPPING shoes I have EVER bought. I want them in every color now. I have plantar fasciitis that flares up very easily. I have worn $250 sneakers and my feet still hurt.

However, this is the only shoe I can wear all day with minor to no discomfort. This is coming from a HS teacher that is always moving! I refuse to wear anything else now. They are exactly as pictured in the brown.

Context: I wear a size 7 in Vejas, Hunter boots, Uggs, heels, most sneakers. Measured my instep (28cm) and widest points of foot (9-10cm). The instep was measured as seen in pictures. Normal arches. Sensitive plantar fasciitis.

I was so so so nervous to order a pair due to the exchange policy. This was my first pair of blunnies so I did not know what to do size-wise. I have pretty normal feet, but I am so picky about shoes and how they fit.

Especially when spending this much. I went ahead and ordered my true size. At first, when I put my foot in it fit. perfectly. Not too much room, but also just snug enough. The insted felt a hair’s width away from being too tight.

It made me nervous. But, ordering a size up would mean I would most likely have to wear thicker socks to fit comfortably, and if they stretched after some time, they would feel so big. So I kept them.

I wore them EVERY DAY pretty much until the posting of this review (2 months and change). After 2 months of wearing it, the instep is roomier, and the boot fits me perfectly. I truly started feeling it break in after about 2 weeks of constant wear.

The first week, I felt some rubbing and discomfort. They really get much much better with the RIGHT socks and consistent wear. Recommendation: Your true size works well for sizing. But, keep in mind if you have high arches, bunions, wide or slightly wide feet, I would say to order up either a half size or full size.

I ordered these boots right before my trip to Ireland because I wanted waterproof walking boots and I had read a review they were great for travel. I had no time to break them in, as they arrived the day I left.

I expected to wear them only on rainy Irish hikes. However, they were so comfortable and “all terrain” that I wore them almost every day! I admit that days 1 and 2 I felt my ankles a bit, as they weren’t used to boots, but it was like getting used to the flipflop peg between your toes.

But after that, they were more comfortable than my Mephistos or my sneakers, so they were my footwear of choice. They have tromped much of Dublin, Galway, Cork, Bantry, Kinsale, The Wild Atlantic Way, Skibbereen, Inishmore, Dunluce Castle, Giant’s Causeway, Sherkin Island, Kenmare, Cobh, Belfast, and Newgrange.

(Are you jealous yet?) I even let the waves of Bantry Bay lap my feet and never got my toes wet (until I slipped off my boots and dipped them because I WANTED wet toes!) I love my Blundstones!.

I bought the shoes as a gift for my husband’s birthday (he’s picky about shoes). It was a chance, but I loved the GORE-TEX feature. He put them on immediately and couldn’t believe the comfort. He wore them that day to his birthday outing and has practically worn them every minute since! He says they feel like slippers.

I just received these and I could not be more pleased. I wear a women’s size 12M and I bought these in the men’s size 10M and they fit perfectly. First of all I love the shoe. I’ve worn wallabies since the 1996. I wear an 8. 5 however I ordered an 8. 5 in these gortex wallies and I could barely get my foot in the. So I guess I need a 9. 5, but now they aren’t available.

The soft foam fit is a breath of fresh air – who knew this existed in a heeled loafer? I got this shoe in size 8 in the green. The color is gorgeous and is a nice muted forest green; the fit is true to size.

The heel height itself is professional and the walkability is great. No sore feet, no toe squishing. In fact, it’s a nice change of pace to have a shoe that has a square toe box; it just adds to the modern style and nice shape.

I’d have snagged the other color too but it’s sold out in my size. Pick this up while it’s still available.

Just bought these in a size 7, my normal size in other shoes like vince camuto heels. Heel height is perfect for me and the shoe stays on my foot well while walking. The heel grips nicely and it looks very sleek and professional.

This is just the perfect shoe and I hope it stays around because I would totally re-buy. The only issue I’d have is the bottoms can be a little slippery, but its not that bad.

I bought the green loafer in size 10. It is so hard to find a pair of shoes in my size that fit comfortably They feel absolutely wonderful and I love the color. I saw some reviews that said they run small.

Mine are actually 1/4 inch too big in the back but I’m keeping them and will wear with a thicker sock or get heal pads. These seem like good quality and I’ve been looking for a green shoe for so long I’ll make it work.

I love these boots, but I did have an issue because I do have big calves. I immediately opened them when I got them and my jaw just dropped because of how gorgeous these are. I am normally a size 12, so that’s what I purchased.

And my feet do fit in them, but I could only zipper them about 1/2 way up because of my calves. I wish they would’ve put some kind of stretchy material on the side or perhaps a measurement for the calf area/opening.

That maybe would’ve stopped me from buying them. But like my other Demonia shoes, they’re too adorable to get rid of, so off to the shoe guy to see if there is something they can do. If not, then I’m afraid I’m going to have to return and get the ankle boot version.

Also, I had a little trouble with the zipper when I had my feet in them, so I would recommend breaking in the zipper before you put your feet in them and try to zip them up. Overall, I would recommend them if you have normal-sized/smaller calves.

If not, be prepared to take them to your shoe guy or get the ankle version (crypto- 51) of this shoe instead. But they are very gorgeous so be ready to become very attached when you open the box!.

I had bought a pair of Demonia shoes once in the past and I loved them, so when I saw these I knew I had to buy them. And let me just say that all those positive reviews are all true, I am usually skeptical of good reviews because you never know.

But my god, when I received these in the mail (first off they came super quick, quicker than I expected) and opened the box I was instantly in love. The material, the buckles, the design, everything about these boots is amazing.

And if you have the money to spend I suggest snagging a pair before it’s too late, because these are most certainly worth the price.

I love these boots! Would absolutely recommend these boots. True to size. Definitely suggest some good insoles, as the provided insoles are have very minimal support. Aside from that, best fashion boots I’ve owned.

Breaking in is actually going very easy. Definitely stiff near the front of the ankle, but nowhere even close to what I’ve experienced with other brands. 10/10 boots and they look amazing!.

I’m late to the game on Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday perfume. It’s a great anytime scent. I’ve only wore this in the daytime though. You’d like this if you want something not too overpowering but lasts awhile.

This is my current favorite perfume at the moment. I had this sitting in my perfume drawer for a while and never really thought about trying it. But after getting tired of my last perfume I thought I’d switch it up and gave this one a try.

Really great shoes cant wait to wear them in! I have a few demonias in boots and heels all size us8, the flats also fit in the us8 they are a narrow shoe style. For refference i am an australian 7 to 8 normally.

I’m in love with these! I love the subtle sparkles in the shoe, they’re so shiny and cute. I would definitely say to wear some thick socks with these. I walked in tights with these and I’ll say it’s much cozier with some socks on than just tights, lesson learned lol.

Leg warmers are adorable with these too 🙂 I also got sooo many compliments on these. The bat wings definitely add some flare to the fit! Also, I’m a size 6 in women’s shoes and I ordered a size 6. These fit perfectly and even had a good amount of toe room, so rest assured these will fit!.

I normally don’t write reviews, but these boots are worth a quick review! I’m a MtF trans woman, so finding affordable women’s shoes that fit comfortably (especially boots) can be a challenge. But the Bratty boots fit great, hug the legs comfortably so the material doesn’t sag down your leg , and are super easy to walk in! PS – in case it helps others in a similar situation as me, I normally wore a US 10.

Would recommend for walking only. These shoes are comfortable for walking only, but I would not wear them in the water or sand due to there not being drain holes and a thick walking surface that sand gets stuck in.

They are also chunkier that I thought they would be.

I’ve been on the hunt for a vegan sneaker for a long time. I really loved the classic style of these and had not read any reviews suggesting they were heavy or uncomfortable (as I have seen for another popular vegan shoe brand), so decided to take the leap.

They are great! I am a wider 8 and the 39 is great. There is a surprising amount of arch support and the shoe is more lightweight than I expected. Yes, they are a little pricey, but I like the company and how the shoes are made.

All around, highly recommend!!.

Shoes has a nice amount of wiggle room for toes. They were soft and comfortable at first use. Tongue was a bit long and I had to use the laces under to raise it a bit. Soles are also a little slippery over wet floors.

But other than those, comfortable to walk in for the whole day.

Love these trainers, they have arch support in the sole which makes them super comfortable. The padding around the ankle also offers extra support and isn’t rigid against the skin. If in between sizes, I would go for the smaller size, but overall would say true to size.

I am loving these shoes. They are adorable and comfortable. There is so much detail and they are well made.

I love my boots! I replaced another pair of similar boots (not Dear Frances) that I’ve been wearing for six years. They are definitely expensive, but I’m in my 30s now and I felt that this was a real investment piece.

I walk everywhere, so having good shoes is important (both for holding up and for style!) – and these definitely check all my boxes. I ordered a 7, and I’m normally a 6. 5 in shoes like this. I think that was the right move since my feet are a little wider.

If you wear different sizes in sneakers than dress shoes, and don’t have narrow feet, I suggest ordering your sneaker size.

I ordered 2 pairs of black Spirit boots (1st ordered a smaller size by mistake). The 1st pair were absolutely stunning and exactly as pictured – incredible attention to detail and supple leather worth every penny.

The second pair (in my size) were awful! They looked as if they were previously worn or at least poorly handled. The finishing was awful and of very low quality, and the leather wasn’t nearly as soft and supple as the 1st pair.

After waiting for weeks for both to arrive and taking and sharing comparison pictures with DF, I returned both. DF claimed the variations were due to differences in locally sourced leather but didn’t explain the differences in actual boot design and finishing.

I think it really boils down to poor QC/QA across their shops. Hopefully you’ll get your pair from one of the higher quality shops! I wasn’t satisfied with DF’s explanation and given I don’t have the patience for this type of service in this day and age, I will unfortunately write DF off my list.

I was very skeptical to purchase boots online but these are incredible. Most companies these days throw around the conscious / eco theme but you can tell just from the packaging Dear Frances isn’t just another business jumping on the wagon.

They have put a lot of time and effort to provide more environmentally friendly packing materials. You can also tell from the quality and craftsmanship of the shoe that these are made by quality practices not cheap unethical processes.

I would recommend this brand to anyone looking to purchase once and help protect our environment through smart quality shopping.

Really happy with the purchase. Have had a pair for a few months – comfy from the first wear for a long walk. Leather inside and outside feels soft, not plasticky as with so many ‘leather’ trainers. Bough another pair on offer recently – green nubuck.

Already worn as more suitable for dry, colder weather. Can’t fault it again. Perhaps the brand is little known, but a very good quality product overall.

Ordered Clae Bradley trainers – received one Leather and one Vegan shoe – totally different. Contacting HoF was very difficult – e mails were not read properly and there was zero understanding of the situation.

The web chat is a waste of time as you don’t get to chat with anyone apart from a computer with set answers. No way of speaking to anyone in person. I returned the shoes 6 days ago by Evri – no acknowledgement from HoF for receipt or when I will get the correct shoes.

On the return form, it was difficult to order the same size shoe – as the policy is they will only exchange the same item for a different size. I first ordered the shoes on 24. 8 – HoF this is really not acceptable.

I certainly will not shop with you again.

Excellent style of boots. Extremely comfortable and easy to get on and off due to the side zips. Love the style of the design.

I have a pair of these in brown too, love them. Easy to wear, plenty of calf room and really comfy footbeds. Can be worn straight out of the box no breaking in. As a librarian I spend a lot of time on my feet and these are great.

Size is pretty accurate, my left foot is almost a 7. 5 and my right foot nearer to 7 and they have space but not too much!!.

They are very comfortable, the best fitting and supportive footwear I have had since I had an accident 12 years ago leaving me with a very damaged and swollen ankle to accommodate! A point to think about tho luckily I tried some on before buying I usually wear size 6 but they were too long.

The size 5 are a perfect fit.
