20 Best Vegetables For Juicing (2022 Updated)

This type of product was entirely off my radar until I had emergency surgery and was on a fluid diet. The hospital started giving me these veg juices, and I was really surprised at how appealing they were and how good I felt consuming them.

Since I have continuing issues with fibrous foods making the consumption of many vegetables difficult, I decided to start adding these to my diet to help counterbalance that problem. These are a perfect size, and you can have them straight, diluted, hot, cold, doctored with herbs or whatever into a sort of soup; they are extremely versatile.

My understanding is that they are predominantly tomato juice made from fully ripened specially grown tomatoes right at the source where this product is made, which I think you can taste; and the rest is a mixture of other vegetables.

They appear to offer a lot of good nutrition in a small quantity, and are very low in calories. Easy to carry too nor does a can take up much desk “real estate”. On top of that they are affordable and seem to hold up well in storage.

Overall I think this is a great product.

When I was a kid I was obsessed with V8 and my parents would always get it for me so I could get some extra servings of veggies. I stopped drinking it for a while and one day when I was on a plane I found out they serve tomato juice during the drink/snack service.

Since that first time I had tomato juice during my flight it became a sort of tradition for me to do every time I traveled. Just a quirky routine. Well! I haven’t been on a plane in a couple years now and when I saw this giant container of V8 I knew I could bring back memories of traveling.

I know it’s such a weird thing to do but it’s my thing okay? I love V8! It has 2 servings of veggies, it’s 100% vegetable juice, it’s gluten free, and each serving container 80% of the recommended daily value for vitamin C.

So there’s no cons! It tastes good, I feel good drinking it, and it reminds me of drinking tomato juice on a plane. I always drink V8 over ice since that’s how flight attendants serve it. you should try it! It’s toddler approved too! So sneak in those extra veggies!.

I don’t eat enough vegetables. I really don’t. I hoped V8 would help me supplement a bit and be a tolerable flavor. To make a long story short: it is. It tastes good for what it is, but slightly salty and the sodium levels match that taste.

there is a less sodium version, but it also halves the vitamins and nutrients as well as the taste, so I stick with the original. The only thing i so not like here is the large bottle. The V8 splash was Like a snack fruit juice and it worked well in a large family size bottle, but for my personal taste (YMMV), pouring into a glass from the bottle does not do enough to entice me to reach for it.

I much prefer the 12 oz. cans. One and done with each meal, pre-measured and i can take some to work with me in the lunch bag. But if a large family bottle is what works for you, then this is the same tasty V8 juice in a recyclable plastic bottle and is a good buy.

This size V8 is perfect to carry on you when you need a pick-me-up and when you want a delicious drink low in sodium that is tasty. Most lower sodium does not taste all that great, however, this is very delicious no matter if you drink straight from the can or pour over ice, it’s delicious.

V8 has the recipe down pat, and I have yet to drink another tomato juice that is as tasty. Most other brands are either generic or not available in the personal, one serving size. this is a great way to sample if you like it also.

I have purchased the case of v8 with 12 and 24 cans, they keep well and I usually keep them in the fridge stocked as well as in storage to replenish when the refrigerated is drank. this size is also perfect for recipes, premeasured 12 oz which is most common in recipes.

I’ve used tomato-based soups, sauces, and main dishes, perfect! I also love that they serve this drink on Delta airlines, I always opt in for this for my vodka and V8.

I have always loved V-8. It has a much thicker consistency and sharper taste than traditional tomato juice. I actually have been know to carry a few cans for a night out, because well. I cannot stand Bloody Mary Mixes and always ask the bartender to use my V-8 instead.

What I wasn’t aware of is just how much potassium is in a glass of V-8. If you struggle with leg cramps or low levels, this is your game changer. It has so much more potassium (as well as other vitamins and minerals), it has completely stopped my almost nightly calf cramps.

I buy the low sodium as it doesn’t change the flavor, and is better for my husband who is diabetic.

I just happened to read the nutrition label on this tiny can of low sodium V8. wow! So, 5 or 6 gulps of this little veggie drink has exponentially more potassium in it (700 mg. ) than one HUGE potassium pill (40)? I started drinking one 5.

5 ounce can of Low Sodium V8 every night. it helped the hand full of pills (that I had to take every night since my heart attack) go down a lot easier than water. That was 15 years ago, and I haven’t had a problem with my potassium levels since I started drinking it! You should always follow your doctor’s instructions.

but, if you don’t like what potassium pills do to your gut, ask your doctor if you can try a low sodium V8 once or twice a day, instead. I even showed mine the nutrition label on one of my little cans.

he was surprised. Who knows. it might work for you too. And, don’t even get me started on how much I love the fact that the vegetables used to make this little gem, are all non-GMO now. SO. Non GMO, high potassium (for those of us on a diuretic), low sodium, and tastes fantastic.

OH!. and it’s a full serving of vegetables too! NON-GMO VEGETABLES! The only thing I could ask more of this tasty veggie juice is for an ORGANIC, non GMO version. I could ask. but I try not to look gift unicorns in the mouth.

Raw vegetables and fruit juices are the key for long life, and a healthy one. Dr Walker writing about the benefit of drinking fresh vegetables and fruit juices. He talked about the mixed carrots juice at least a pint everyday, with cucumber and beets, or with spinach and parsley.

He only drinks hot water with lemon in the morning and the rest is juices.

I am so thrilled that this company does not use Citric Acid as a Preservative for their fruit and vegetable juices! Citric acid is man made in a lab and is terrible for everyone’s stomach. It’s named “Citric Acid” so people will think of natural lemon juice, however if it is on a Product Label, it is a man made, super irritating ingredient used as a cheap preservative.

Made in a lab Citric Acid is damaging to everyone’s stomach, but I have gastritis and can’t have it at all. Knudsen’s Juices are fresh and have nothing bad in them. I’m so thankful for them! I noticed that they have a new Vegetable Juice that is similar to V-8 juice and it has Citric Acid in it.

Knudsen, PLEASE don’t start using this in any of your other products!!! Keep them Pure!.

First thank you for making such a great product. I used to drink V8 on occasion, really liked it but did not like thinking of the harmful pesticides it may be laden with. I recently found the Very Veggie and its a bit different, maybe a tad sweet, but I added a pinch of salt and pepper and its perfect.

I can feel good about drinking this product, not only is it organic but its NON GMO Project Verified, and I always look for that label as my first choice. Its delicious and healthy. Thanks again!.

I bought this because I thought it would be healthier than V8 low sodium but that is unclear because the label doesn’t say how much Vitamin C or Vitamin A it contains as an example. Also your bottle says it only had 1 serving of vegetables but V8 says 2 servings of vegetables.

Is yours more watered down? Please advise. I’m glad it’s organic, but…not sure what I’m getting. Thank you!.

This on the go bowl of soup has just the right amount of veggies and the perfect amount of beef to go with each bite! Just how I like my vegetable beef soup. I never thought that anyone making vegetable soup could ever figure out how to individualized servings to have this effect.

This book is very informative. I never knew how to mix fruits and veggies to maintain optimal health. I have MS and some of the recipes for energy and boosting your immune system were great. You may have to add a sweetner to some, though.

I prefer Splenda and it works great. Some of the wording gets a little heavy but, besides that it’s a good buy. I recommend it.

The Juicing for Life book by Cherie Calbom and Maureen Keane written in 1992 is still applicable today in 2010! The receipes are clean, clear and taste great! The book is in great shape and still sells at the book store for a whole lot more than I purchased it for on ebay, which was another reason why I bought the book.

Overall I would definitely recommend this book.

Drinking this juice makes me feel healthy. I use it over ice, chilled, and even in bloody Mary’s. The taste is fantastic and has a great blend to make it more palletable than regular tomato juice. With a choice, I choose this over plain tomato juice.

To say I was surprised is an understatement. My 8-year-old thinks that V8 is the greatest drink on the planet. She likes the flavor, we get the low sodium variety and it’s an easy way to get in her vegetables, because she won’t eat very many vegetables.

I would recommend this if you can get your kids to try it. You never know they may like it and it’s a great way to get vegetables in if they don’t want to eat them. Would recommend!.

Great organic ingredients. Kind of surprised how sweet it was. I enjoy a Virgin Mary, as a pre-dinner snack, in the warmer weather. After I added my Lakewood Organic lemon and lime juices, and my favorite hot sauce that begins with an”F” celery stalk.

I ordered this for my husband because the one he usually drinks not available. He loves it and says better than one we always bought. It does have the best ingredients. Very glad to see available at Vitacost, which saves trip to the health food store.

I love this delicious vegetable juice. It reminds me of the kind I grew up with. but this is organic, which is a must for me. I also love that it comes in a glass jar. I usually put a splash of this juice in my homemade vegetable stock (or water if I’m out of stock) and top it off with a lighter splash of organic lemon juice for a healthy ‘cocktail’.

Excellent item but why aren’t the larger size cans available in low sodium? Want the customer to buy them more times. Too popular for you. I appreciate the shopping service but don’t take items away that are healthy.

I can’t have much salt so these cans are a great help but the ones you have available are too small. You used to offer the large ones.

I have to say with my busy lifestyle I honestly do not eat right all the time. I usually grab something that is quick and healthy but those do not contain the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals.

I often feel lethargic. Since I have been drinking this V8, I have noticed a huge difference in my energy levels. I usually drink 2 glasses a day. One in the afternoon and one at night. I absolutely also love the taste.

Just the right amount of spiciness. This also makes for a great tasting mixer as well!.

V8 Original 100% Vegetable Juice is a versatile product. It’s great for cooking, mixed drinks, and just a good drink for when you want something a little more healthy or substantial than other drinks.

This is potentially such a great combo; however vinegar is the fourth ingredient, which makes it much too sour for my taste. Perhaps an effort to make up for having less salt? There’s no need for vinegar at all, imho — please remove it from your recipe, and just give us the healthy veggie juices ;-).

The absolute best vegetable juice on the market. When I’m hungry at night, I’ll have a glass of this vegetable juice. It’s not thin like others vegetable juices out. If I want something a little thinner, I’ll add some tomato juice.

Also delicious. I also used it in soups, chili and sauces.

This is a thick and tasty tomato juice. It makes wonderful Bloody Marys and I love to drink it cold with a little lemon and tobacco. It is also not too salty, which is a big plus. If you like the taste of tomato I think you will love this juice.

This is simply the best tomato juice I’ve ever had. The perfect blend of sweet, tang and salt. My local grocers stopped carrying it, and after searching everywhere online I found it here. Great deal compared to everywhere else I’ve looked.

I have been enjoying this juice, when I was younger I watched the dr. oz show and I remember on an episode they spoke about being able to spot health issues that maybe happening in your body by looking at your nails.

I always believed this to be true since seeing that and seeing my nails over the past years. For the past few months my nails had become very fragile and thin and many vertical lines and ridges/dips they became more prominent than usual so I knew something was going on maybe a vitamin deficiency.

My dad bought this juice along with a green one but I have been drinking one glass mug of this a day each morning with 2 eggs sometimes boiled sometimes scrambled omelette style or fried and I am sure the juice is what is really helping me because for a month now I have been doing this and I have more energy my skin feels and looks better and my nails are so full and youthful again 😢 💕 my ridges are practically gone and no more harsh vertical lines the nails are becoming nice shiny and hard.

I am 100% sure i was very low on vitamins. I have been taking probiotics too but this carrot juice is the winner IMO. 🠆 Go try it doesn’t hurt to try it is not sweet but tolerable it’s like a shot lol a healthy shot you will gain tolerance for it my taste buds have adjusted and I enjoy this very much I will continue to purchase until I get my own juicer.

Their carrot juice is always delicious and has a very refreshing flavor. It never seems to stay on the shelves long enough for any potential expiration date issues. Not sure what’s up with the 1 star reviews.

If you don’t like carrot juice, you have no business leaving a review. And complaining about a dollar increase in the price? Don’t leave a one star review because of inflation. You can blame the economy on that one.

It is expensive, however, you get to taste the quality as well as how well pressed this juice is that has body, and consistency; my favorite part besides drinking this carrot juice is when I pore this in a glass, and experience the sheer perfection and consistency of this juice with my bare eyes.
